For instance, Phantom got called in by the JL for an all-hands-on-deck situation right before a super important test. Phantom accepted the call.

But the JL had dealt with threats like this before, a million times-there was literally no need to answer the call.

Yet the little dumbass had.

And now Dan was at home, staying on the other side of the room away from Vlad, and watching the fight on TV.

Phantom takes a hit. Then another. Then another.

Good; he'll learn not to jump when the JL says jump, then.

Phantom goes down, disappears behind some rubble.

Dan doesn't care. He doesn't. Let the kid learn a lesson.

Phantom doesn't get up.

Just like Jazz didn't get up.

Or Sam, or Tucker, or his mom or his dad-

Dan sees red.

He barely hears Vlad as he rips a portal to the fight and steps out, in his own ghost form, and decks the bad guy-some demon named Trigun or whatever, fucking weeb-so hard he knocks the guy back.

The fight pauses.

"You touched the twerp," Dan growls, voice distorting and allowing his powers to manifest at full capacity for the first time in years, "So you get to lose your head."

Personally my first choice would ofc be post-ENT because we were robbed. Especially as an actual continuation of ENT, with the same crew (as an animated series or something); but I'd take something with a new crew too.

But since I know THAT has fuck-all chances of happening, my next choice is the lost era, I think it has a lot of potential but I wouldn't want them to make it a direct sequel to undiscovered country or a direct prequel to TNG. There's enough room to make it something new with maybe some legacy characters showing up but not as the main focus. It's time they stop leaning on previous shows so much.

My last choice would probably be everything post-Picard and after because I'm trying to pretend theses shows don't exist lmao. Also Eugenics war because i'm sick and tired of stories about augments.

okay so here's my summary of ibushi's latest 2 videos (here and here) from his youtube channel

pls make sure to read this at your own discretion. it's honest, but not exactly cheerful.

this summary is not entirely chronological; i've grouped some points together for cohesion

the vids were taken about 2 weeks after marufuji vs ibushi was announced, so around 12/17 ish (i'm just bringing this up bc i saw some confusion bc ibushi was reported by noah to be in the us rn until at least the 27th)

ibushi starts out the 1st vid by saying how completely different american and japanese wrestling are; the example he uses are cheers, [in aew] whenver anyone makes their entrance the crowd is chanting their name

in japan it has a different quality to it; [i assume he's talking about coming out at the noah show to challenge marufuji here] it's strange to him when he can only hear his theme and there's neither boos nor cheers, but he was glad it got a reaction

as for how he's doing physically: says he'll be frank: his left ankle and the back of his right hand (there's a visible dent on one side of the back of his hand and he says he doesn't have much grip strength there but for powerbombs and germans he grabs his wrist with his left hand so he can still do those) are fractured and his shoulder isn't healed cause he never got surgery for it

the ankle is the worst out of the 3, he can't jump or do highflying and walking 400 m (0.25 miles) is his limit, even walking around everyday is pretty rough

he's been able to benchpress 88 lbs now, with 200 as a one time thing, but he can't do much actual wrestling match practice, worries about what he can do; sums it up as that physically things aren't really on the up and up at all

but he believes marufuji is going through the same thing [being hurt in a lot of different places] and that the match won't be bad because of that; he believes it will be good precisely bc of the shape they are in, the injuries they've sustained

as he's said in the past, he doesn't care about what place he is on the card even tho ppl care a lot about match order, but he has the opportunity of being in the main with marufuji, so [he'll make the most out of it]

the ring remains a place for him to express himself, unable to highfly or injured as he may be, that's part of it too

he could go out there and be like "no i'm recovering i'm practicing hard everything's going swell" but that wouldn't change the fact that it's not true

he's doing what he can do get better, but operating within the limits of his body and how he can workout

even so, he won't give up and expresses confidence, [he seems motivated for the match and to go through with all of this], he's been doing this for 20 years and nothing scares him anymore

he says his instinct/6th sense for wrestling isn't as sharp [anymore] either since he doesn't really wrestle outside of aew these days, and again japanese and american wrestling are completely different and he's matching himself to wherever he wrestles, so he will do the same for the noah match

as long as it's getting a reaction out of ppl, he's happy; as long as he's getting something out of it he's happy, there's no right or wrong here for him

he's not nervous for the match at all, just hopes he can put himself out there in his purest form, so that ppl can decide for themselves what it is he represents for them/how they experience them

the video ends with him saying that he doesn't wanna be gloom, but if something unfortunate happens [i interpret this to mean another injury] this will be his last [match]

[he also then says make sure to watch his matches (since you won't know which one will be the last), and while i don't think he's lying with the sentiment here at all, my suggestion would be to take this as it is for now but not despair too hard about it]

the 2nd vid is mostly a recap of him seconding a kickboxer he trains for his match at korakuen hall on 12/17, interspliced with more footage from ibushi talking in the secret base

just as the fictitious "ibushi pro wrestling research institute" represents his status as a freelancer and a means by which he express himself in his purest form to ppl, it's also a means by which he can take on ppl under his wing

[ibushi has talked on twitter before how he has several trainees who are former/current kickboxers or MMA fighters wishing to become pro wrestlers] he thinks more of them will make their debut in the future; he's not doing this to boast that he's the one training them, it just naturally happened this way

even tho the ipwri is not actually a promotion, [ppl he's training and ibushi himself] get announced/lower third-ed as being from there, so it has established itself in the world

[there's a backstage scene here of ibushi talking to machida (machida lost the match) and altho there isn't much to tl (it's just ibushi basically giving him a pep talk), i still think it's worth checking out, it's very sweet]

lastly he says the institute is taking applications and as long as your feelings/motivations come across, he's happy to read them, even tho there are already too many ppl showing interest rn

One of the ‘’criticisms’’ of the most annoying criticisms of the show is how ryan and co made alicent ‘’’weak’’ and ‘’submissive’’ to the men around her and ‘’’we want book! Alicent’’ , but if they had actually read the book or just the ‘Dance’ they would know that this is not the case. Here are some comparisons of f&b alicent vs hotd alicent.

show alicent: makes a statement at rhaenyra’s wedding; according to hotd: green dress = declaring war.

book alicent: wears a green dress to her & viserys’ 5th wedding anniversary, rhaenyra wears black – the beginning of blacks vs greens;

show alicent: request to see the baby the moment it’s born; ‘’keep trying ser leanor..’’ comment.

book alicent: eventually makes that comment about joffrey, but no mention of her ‘’inspecting’’ joff or any of rhaenyra’s other 2 kids.

show alicent: rejects rhaenyra’s proposal to marry jace to helaena.

book alicent: no proposal is ever made, viserys himself marries helaena (who was 13) to aegon.

show alicent & criston: are the reason why harwin was sent home; larys eventually decides to kill his dad and brother for his own gain, tells alicent and makes her an acomplince. + gets power over her.

book alicent and criston: have nothing to do with harwin being sent away,  viserys does it himself after the kids fight.

show alicent: attacks rhaenyra with a knife

book alicent: she and rhaenyra kiss and exchange words of love (forced by viserys)

show alicent: support vaemond’s petiton

book: vaemond never makes a petition, rhaenyra finds out what he has been saying, sends daemon to kill him; his family eventually comes to seek justice. – nothing to do with alicent.

the green council in the show: the stupidest thing the show did, all of the capable council members thought the best case scenario is to just men to kill the other half of the royal family + the ‘’grandsons’’ and granddaughter of house velaryon? Alicent being against the kill of all of them was smart and normal reaction. 

the green council in the book: there is the mention of the danger they would be in if rhaenyra takes the throne and how ‘’daemon would find any reason to put them to the sword, even helaena and her little ones’’.. no one talks about killing them; it was aegon who wanted rhaenyra and daemon killed only after she crowned herself and EVERYONE was of course against it as it’s a very stupid move; even aegon didn’t want all of them dead,,, (the show was really pushing it, not mentioning their fears of daemon, especially with the rumors of leanor’s ‘’death’’ and what happened to vaemond, but they are the ones who want to kill the other side of the family?)

also, there is no way to know if alicent loved viserys or whenver she was happy with him, she was still a young girl (18) married to someone who WANTED HER and her ‘’job’’ was to provide him with heirs – and so she did.  Book alicent could be a victim just like show alicent is – because you would never know since we have no POVs – just rumors.  

show alicent: orders the killing of mysaria and her spies, giving mysaria a reason to go after them.

book alicent: never happened.

you don’t turn your head as you heard eren’s voice. the wind whispers against your body and you welcome it.

you hum as you close your eyes. you feel his body heat beside you and you accept all the warmth he emitted.

eren jaeger. your childhood friend. your closest friend in shiganshina. the first time you two met, you already hated him. he was brash, impulsive, short-tempered, and always, always running from you (you’re afraid he will run away from you—forever). and, you can’t help but be drawn to him. his eyes that held fire whenever he talked about slaughtering all the titans. he always screamed and screamed of wanting to have freedom. whenever you look at him, he feels so far away. you are like the moon; wanting to meet the sun that gives light to you, but no matter what you do, you can’t seem to reach him. eren can only give you a portion of him before turning away from you to give others a part of him. sometimes, when you stare at eren, you think of the word freedom. he is the freedom. look at connie who initially chose military police as his option, now he’s here having a laugh with sasha. he has this effect to people, no wonder, someone is in love with him.

it’s really obvious that mikasa is really in love with eren.

you’re not blind. you always knew that the ackerman woman see eren in a different light. she’s overprotective, passionate, and territorial. she wants to be by eren’s side forever. she will follow eren wherever he goes, even if to the depths of hell. she devotes herself to him to the point that all she could see is eren. jean sulks whenver he glances at her following the green-eyed boy.

however, you don’t know what eren feels for her.

“i…” he pauses, “i just want to see how you’re doing.”

you raise an eyebrow at him. you look at him under your lashes. “i’m doing just fine, eren. you can go back inside.”

you observe him as he observes you. you watch him slowly change from a boy into a man. his messy hair is growing, reaching his neck. you notice how he looks tan, which is not a bad thing (he looks good). his eyes that held hatred for a long time seems dull at the very moment. he is also growing, towering you with his structure. the eren who screams and screams revenge, now looks exhausted.

you exhale a tired sigh and slowly blink your eyes. “lay with me, ‘ren.”

you don’t notice since you go back to watching the sky, but his eyes light up like the stars above and glued his body against yours.

“what are you thinking?” he whispers, afraid he’ll destroy the peaceful atmosphere the two of you created.

“i’m reminiscing.”

“about?”

“how much i grow as a person and how many people i let in in my heart.”

you feel his entire body stiffens. even if he slowly change into a nonchalant man, he never represses any emotion when he’s with you. he feels like the eren in shiganshina. like the boy who never lost his mother. like the boy who never lost his innocence in war. like the eren who always admire you.

“… and what do you think of those memories you’ve created with them?”

“i feel grateful.” you smile, so bright and warm, and it envelopes his heart like a hug.

you have always been pretty. the prettiest girl he has ever seen. he remembers the time when he started to grow admiration for you. for your brave soul—when you didn’t hesitate to punch the bullies who pick on armin. you looked like a warrior, bringing hell from the ground with those fiery eyes, chubby cheeks, and a stern punch. you fussed on armin like a doting mother and he couldn’t help his admiration to increase over the years.

you never notice but armin always blushes around you. eren observes from your side as he watches his bestfriend with enchanting eyes longingly stares at your form. he can’t blame him. you’re strong, kind, intelligent, and all the wonderful words he could think of.

when the four of you entered the cadet corps, more admirers lined up behind you. there is jean who constantly compliments you. from your hair down to your toes, he never fails to make you smile. there is reiner with muscular structure who protected you from an assault during your mission. when you gave him a hug, he didn’t know how to handle your softness. there is connie who always makes you laugh with his jokes. your aura seems to lighten up the room with that angelic laughs of yours. there is marco whose kindness draws you in. he looks like an angel with those sweet words and cute freckles. you couldn’t stop looking at them. there is also his bestfriend, armin, who talks like the world is ending if he never manages to let out his thoughts. the two of you theorizes what the outside world will be, what it looks like, if it’s like in the books. armin always stares at you like you have all the answers in the world.

all of them makes you bring out the best version of yourself. but what about him? did he make you smile? laugh? blush? did he make your heart beats faster when you’re with him?

he can’t help but think that you deserve them. you deserve the best, after all.

“eren,” you call his name. he is brought back to reality when he hears your voice.

your finger taps your temple. “you’re thinking too hard. what is it?”

he can feel his face heating up and his hands being clammy. he can hear the pounding of his heart against his lungs. the world is spinning and he blurts out the words at the tip of his tongue:

“how many people have you given your heart to?!”

shit. he’s embarrassed as hell. he mentally punches himself as he asks the dumbest question? what the hell is he thinking? is he insane? now that you know he’s the stupidest man you’ever known, are you going to avoid him? ignore him? forge—

his rambling thoughts stop because of your giggle. and wow, what a heavenly sound. he wanted to hear it for the rest of his awful life. if only.

your giggling has cease as you sit up. he panics for a second and follow you, but you force him to halt and bring your hands to the side of his face.

“silly, silly eren! what do you mean? i’ve never given my heart to anyone! it was always in your palm, taking care of it. didn’t you know? all my love is for you, eren, cause i got nothing left to lose when i took the risk of loving you, yeah?”

right there and then, eren knew—hell, he always knew that he willingly placed his heart inside your lungs just so you can always have a part of him forever. no one can take your place in his mind, heart, and life. you will always be the number one, the first priority, his girl, his always and forever. because with you, he’s always gonna be yours—for eternity. his love for you transcends the meaning of love itself and beyond.

he knows the power of the meaning of love more than anyone else.

The qtubbo lore is so good to me becuase its so unpredictable and I never know what will happen but whenver it deos happen its like OHH IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE and i go even more feral trying to figure out more about it
