I used to wonder why it was so easy to write about the aftermaths more than the beginnings and the good things about love. Then I thought about you. For a moment, I was able to recall the things I loved about you -- until I came up with the moments where I found myself watching your footsteps walking away, like a scene from my favorite movie; I sang the words you said like my favorite song; I memorized the details of each memory, like every stanza of my favorite poem. Maybe I've mastered the aftermaths long enough that I've forgotten what it was like to be your own muse.

Then I came to the realization that these aftermaths fueled my words and made me create a light out of darkness. I could fix what was broken and I could fill what was empty. It gave me a hope that I could replace the unpleasant memories and they would be left with nothing but the beginnings and the good ones only.

Afterall, even if I didn't get the ending I wanted for the both of us, I still had the choice to write a sequel -- even if that means of rewriting it without you.
