The Fridge Magnet Theory
(Revised and Updated April 25, 2023)
The Diaz Family fridge has a collection of magnets (and more) that gets tweaked in small ways between sightings.
Most notable early on are the colored stick figures, but there are other magnets on the fridge as well. In later seasons, we also get photos and calendars.
They first came to our attention during Eddie’s surprise party because of the particular selection of magnets on the fridge and the way they were arranged ahead of that scene. There seemed to be a symbolic connection between the magnets and the people present at the party.
So, we went back and followed them from their introduction, and trends started to emerge.
Tumblr media
I’m going to transfer all of our various posts and discussions with necessary changes. Let’s go! 👏
As I mentioned above, the magnets first grabbed our attention during the surprise party because of @buddiestiel67′s color theory post. It seemed like the five magnets could represent Buck, Taylor, Eddie, Ana, and Chris because the clothing seemed to match. However, we later discovered (as you can see in the pic above) that there were never two red magnets. One of the “red” magnets is actually orange. It’s just difficult to tell when watching the show.
This information seemed to almost debunk that particular theory.
(I say almost because if you tell me Taylor’s bright hair doesn’t look almost orange, I will call you a liar. 😭)
But that doesn’t matter until later.
For your reference:
This is the original research thread.
[Please take everything in the above thread with a grain of salt if you decide to look through it because we were still compiling information and trying to figure things out at the time.]
This is an early breakdown post when we thought there were two red magnets because we’re clowns.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get to it!
S3 E11: Seize the Day
AKA “I’m not really a guest.”
In this episode, we get our first glimpse of all ten stick figure magnets, three of the Dr. Seuss magnets (mentioned below), and the Arrested Development magnet (also mentioned below) in the scene with Maddie and Buck in Eddie’s kitchen.
We originally thought there were only nine, but @hattalove looked closer and discovered that the green magnet person is indeed there in 03x11. It’s just way down at the bottom of the fridge.
Tumblr media
The circular magnets come from a 6-magnet set of Dr. Seuss magnets found by @stagefoureddiediaz here.
The three circular magnets that start out on the fridge are:
Tumblr media
We’ve been able to determine that the photo magnet is an Arrested Development quote magnet, but as of right now, we don’t have an image of the actual magnet to show you. So, we can’t be 100% certain of the quote.
@tsunamibuck made the connection on this post. And @stagefoureddiediaz came in to tell us that this was correct, and she’d found the magnet at one point but was unable to locate it again after that.
She believes it’s the Gob Bluth quote “I’ve made a huge mistake.” But take that with a grain of salt because as of right now, we don’t have a clear enough picture of the magnet to confirm it.
She believes this particular magnet was originally just meant to be a joke about Fox cancelling Arrested Development.
Tumblr media
Now that we know what the magnets are, let’s start going through their various appearances.
The main thing we noticed during their introduction was that the green figure was separated from all nine other figures. Standing right next to the figures at that time? Buck in that olive green looking shirt.
Tumblr media
One thing to note is that this is the episode in which Buck receives a clean bill of health regarding his leg and had been somewhat isolated from the rest of the crew as he recovered.
However, despite that isolation from the crew at large, he tells Maddie that he’s not really a guest in Eddie’s house. A sign of his comfort and place in the Diaz family and household.
S3 E12: Fools
AKA The Skateboard Incident
The magnets change position in this episode and a new circular magnet is added. (Thank you, anon!)
@theladyyavilee noted in her tags on this reblog that the yellow figure we see separated from the rest with the circular magnets could be Chris because of how isolated and conflicted he was feeling at the time.
If we go back to that episode, literally right after we see Eddie and Carla in the kitchen talking and get a glimpse of the magnets, Eddie and Chris are having their talk at the table, and Chris is indeed wearing yellow. Eddie literally walks out of the kitchen and sits down to talk with him.
Tumblr media
The new circular magnet that gets added is this one (which I think we all know ties to that episode pretty well thematically):
Tumblr media
S3 E15: Eddie Begins
AKA Eddie fucking Begins?
The Diaz fridge we get in this episode isn’t the fridge this post has been following or continues to follow. It’s the Diaz fridge in El Paso! There was a lot going on there though, so if you’re interested, click this link for The Fridge Magnet Theory: Eddie Begins Edition! 😇
S4 E08: Breaking Point (Ty, anon!)
AKA That Episode Where Chris Calls an Uber
Back to our regularly scheduled programming and the fridge we all know and love!
The number of stick figures drops from the ten we saw in 03x12 to seven. @theladyyavilee noted it best in the tags on this reblog:  #the fact that the figures decreased from s3 to s4 when we KNOW how much chris was struggling with missing all the people in his life?
We see Chris late in the episode express those feelings of isolation to Buck after he steals Eddie’s phone and calls an Uber.
Tumblr media
The seven remaining stick figure magnets are dark blue, light blue, yellow, red, orange, green, and purple.
Also notable is that at no time in this scene do we see the other magnets except for when Chris is storming out of the room. We see two of them, and the choices are very telling.
We see the Arrested Development magnet with the quote “I’ve made a huge mistake” which can easily be tied to Eddie in this scene. And we also see the Dr. Seuss quote “I meant what I said and I said what I meant” which can easily be tied to Chris.
Tumblr media
[This anon noted that the remaining seven magnets are just kind of chaotically thrown on the fridge which could hint at Chris’ state of mind at the time. However, in my opinion, they’re usually just kind of chaotically thrown up there except for when they aren’t. So .
But if you think all of the magnets in this scene symbolize Chris, you may wish to note what he’s wearing at the end of the episode when he sees Ana again.]
Tumblr media
S4 E09: Blindsided (thanks @theladyyavilee 💖)
AKA The One Where We Get Jee and Albert Flatlines
A fifth quote magnet gets added.
It’s the Dr. Seuss “A person’s a person, no matter how small” magnet.
We weren’t able to see exactly what it was in this episode, but the magnet remains in that position through 04x13 and becomes more visible in 05x03. It doesn’t move. So, we are able to go back and draw some informed conclusions.
@theladyyavilee put all of this together on this post: “going by the size, shape and color-sheme (blue-pink???!) it looks like it’s another doctor seuss magnet, specifically the one that only says ‘a person’s a person no matter how small’”
Tumblr media
Assuming that this episode is indeed when the magnet gets added and it wasn’t just completely hidden until then, it seems to be another case of a quote magnet being added or made visible because it ties into the episode’s themes. This particular episode focuses heavily on children.
Note:
This is when Jee-Yun is born.
This is also when you have the storyline surrounding Nia being returned to her birth mother.
The main emergency in this episode involved a call from a child whose mother had been drinking which caused a major accident while he was in the car. The child was badly injured and taken into surgery. The dad has a breakdown while talking to Athena about it all.
This ties back to Bobby’s stuggle with alcoholism which is what led to the death of his wife and children.
All of this going on around him is likely one of the main reasons why we get the short scene of Eddie going home and immediately hugging Chris at the end of the episode.
That hug is when we see some other changes with the magnets as well.
The magnet people decrease to five in this scene. The dark blue and purple are gone. Red, orange, light blue, yellow, and green remain. Everything is still chaotically spread.
Chris is wearing a light blue shirt with various other colors on it as well.
Tumblr media
S4 E13: Suspicion
AKA The One Where Eddie Gets Shot
We see the magnets in this episode when Eddie and Ana go into the kitchen to discuss Charlie and his mother.
The quote magnets are mostly grouped together on the left door of the fridge.
The exception being the fifth Dr. Seuss magnet which remains on the side of the fridge.
The five remaining figures are connected in a circle. They are the same colors we saw separated in the previous episode.
Tumblr media
This is where the color theory becomes particularly interesting because it’s in the next episode that we see the welcome home party where all five of them are in the same room. Which is of course:
S4 E14: Survivors
AKA The Surprise Party
Now, as we established at the beginning, one of the figures in the circle is orange instead of red. Both Ana and Taylor in 04x14 are wearing red, but I think it’s fair to argue that the orange figure could be Taylor because of her hair.
So, as the color theory linked at the beginning noted, we have Eddie and Buck in yellow and blue, and Chris is in green.
Tumblr media
Also, we have Ana and Taylor in very different shades of red. If you choose to acknowledge Taylor as orange because of the brightness of her hair, all five of them match the circle of remaining magnets.
Tumblr media
Another link to that original color theory post to refresh your mind.
And now we go to Season 5.
S5 E03: Desperate Measures
AKA The Breakup
The key difference from Season 4 to Season 5 is that the red and orange magnets have disconnected from the circle.
Also notable between Season 4 and 5 is that the main four Dr. Seuss magnets and the Arrested Development magnet are more aligned.
Three theories to address here regarding the colored figures. One is assuming that the colors still stand for who we assume they stood for at the end of Season 4. The others assume that they’re specific to this episode symbolically. This seems more likely as we’ve addressed the symbolism as changing from episode to episode in the past.
Before we get into those though, note that this is when we get the true look at the quote magnet that first appeared in 04x09: Blindsided. It’s also when we’re able to see that Eddie now has what appears to be a calendar/planner on the side of his fridge.
Tumblr media
As for why, @stagefoureddiediaz makes a good point in her tags on this reblog: #as for the planner thing being on the side - same thing - Eddie doesn’t know what his plans are for the future.
Eddie seems to have lost sight of what it is he wants, where he should be, and what he should be doing. This becomes a major theme throughout all of Season 5, and the calendar remains on the side of the fridge the entire time.
[She also makes some other guesses on that reblog as to why this is the moment we get a clear view of that particular Dr. Seuss magnet even though it’s been around for a while, why it’s on the side of the fridge, and what that might mean. I left all of that out because this isn’t technically the first time we’re seeing it, but check out her reblog if you’re interested!]
Now! Let’s get into the three theories regarding the stick figures!
Theory One: The red and orange magnets for Ana and Taylor are detached from the rest of the circle.
One is obviously more disconnected than the other, but they’re both disconnected.
However, the blue, yellow, and green magnets have remained connected.
This is all signaling Ana and Taylor being disconnected from the remaining group of Eddie, Buck, and Chris.
Tumblr media
Theory Two: We see the yellow, blue, and green magnets all connected as a unit. And we see the red and orange magnets disconnected from that unit. One only slightly. And the red and orange magnets are also disconnected from each other.
@theladyyavilee pointed out that the blue and green figures are bracketing the yellow figure, almost like parents and a child.
And we see Ana, Eddie, and Chris sitting together wearing those colors right before we see the magnets (which @xxfiction-is-my-realityxx brought to my attention with this edit that @ellelans has given her blessing for us to use. 😘)
Tumblr media
Which could also mean that in this episode, the red and orange magnets are Buck and Taylor.
The red one being only slightly separated from Eddie would likely be Buck in this scenario. We saw that Eddie was keeping Buck at a slight distance by not informing him of the panic attacks he experienced until pushed repeatedly. The orange could therefore be Taylor who is completely separated from the group and slightly distant from Buck at this point as well.
The blue (Ana) and green (Eddie) are only connected through Chris (yellow) who is standing on two feet between them.
This makes sense as this is the scene when Eddie breaks up with her and removes her completely from their family unit after admitting that he’s been trying to make it work for Chris.
Tumblr media
Theory Three: This theory is almost identical to Theory Two except that it assumes the red and orange magnets are unimportant in this case, and the only connection to be made is the blue, yellow, and green for Eddie, Ana, and Chris.
S5 E10: Wrapped in Red (Christmas Episode)
AKA Eddie Leaves the 118
We do NOT see the magnets in this episode, but it seemed very purposeful. So, we’re making a note of it.
We had an entire scene of Eddie and Carla talking in Eddie’s kitchen. They were shown from multiple angles. Yet somehow, at no point during that scene do we get even a glimpse of Eddie’s fridge. Not one.
So it seems as though they deliberately avoided showing us the magnets before we got to the next episode:
S5 E11: Outside Looking In
AKA Eddie Has a New Job
@theladyyavilee pointed it out and said it best on this post:
NO MAGNET PEOPLE, I REPEAT NOT A SINGLE MAGNET PERSON ON THAT FRIDGE, HOW VERY EDDIE-AND-CHRIS-COMPLETELY-CUT-OFF-FROM-THEIR-FAMILY OF THEM
The magnet people are gone, but the rest of the magnets are still there.
This could easily symbolize Eddie and Chris now being cut off from the rest of their family as a result of Eddie no longer working at the 118.
(For a more in depth view of Eddie’s self-imposed isolation and how the symbolism of the magnets may showcase that, check out the post by @yramesoruniverse here. The magnets appear towards the end.)
The calendar (which remains on the side) is also easily visible.
Tumblr media
S5 E14: Dumb Luck
AKA Eddie Has a Nightmare
We see the fridge again during Eddie’s nightmare at the beginning of the episode.
It’s a dream sequence as opposed to an actual scene, but let’s look at it.
The quote magnets from ‘Outside Looking In’ are still on the left side of the fridge which was confirmed by @stagefoureddiediaz here.
The main thing of note from this scene is Eddie collapsing against the right side of the fridge. This is generally where the magnet people are located.
However, instead of the stick figures who generally represent Eddie, Chris, and/or the people around them, that side of the fridge gets smeared with Eddie’s blood as he relives being shot.
Instead of the people in his life. Instead of himself. There’s only blood and pain and death.
That makes sense when you consider all of the compounding traumas he’s currently facing as well as the fact that he just found out multiple people in his life died without him realizing it.
Tumblr media
S6 E04: Animal Instincts
AKA Chris Gets In Trouble For Lying
The fridge makes its first appearance in S6 when Eddie takes a phone call from Chris’ school. There’s a lot to unpack here.
The magnet people still seem to be gone. We do believe there is a very good chance that they may not return to the Diaz fridge. They slowly disappeared over time as Eddie, Buck, and Chris underwent various traumas starting in late Season 4 into Season 5. They stayed gone as Eddie felt isolated and slowly declined in S5.
The magnet figures were representative of the people they’ve been up until this point. However, Eddie underwent great changes in S5, and he’s arguably a different person than he was before. His relationship with Chris has changed. Their relationship with Buck has changed. Blood was smeared where those magnets were once placed and could therefore additionally signify the death of who they were before. And because they’re no longer those people, the magnet people in particular may be retired.
We’re therefore starting off this season with the five circular quote magnets we ended with, the Arrested Development magnet, the calendar, and some newly added photos. All of which we will continue to follow going forward. Of course, we will keep an eye out for any of the other magnets returning as well.
Tumblr media
The large calendar we’ve seen on the side of the fridge before now is not visible. However, another calendar has appeared on the front of the fridge. It appears for this episode and this episode only.
It’s seems to be a calendar of events for Chris’ school. This ties into the entire scene as this is when Eddie takes the call from Durand and finds out Chris has been lying to him about his whereabouts.
Tumblr media
It’s being held by two of the five quote magnets, and the choices made are particularly interesting. These are the magnets for your reference.
Tumblr media
The first magnet stood out to us once before. This was during Eddie and Chris’ kitchen confrontation over Ana - when Chris breaks the salad bowl and storms out of the room. Of the six Dr. Seuss magnets, it’s the only one with a confrontational tone. It’s notable that it was the only one shown during that particular scene, and now during this confrontation, it’s front and center being used to hold up the event schedule for the school that calls Eddie and sparks the conflict between them in this episode.
The other magnet has also been linked to Chris in the past. This is the latest of the quote magnets added to the fridge. It was added in 04x09: Blindsided which you’ll recall was heavily focused on children, and the magnet was showcased during an end scene when Eddie goes home to hug his son. It’s now being used to hold up a schedule of events for - you guessed it! - kids.
The photos themselves are also interesting, and there are some things to note that become relevant later. (FYI, they were first discussed here after we got this BTS TikTok from @911bts pre-S6, and they were discussed further on this post.)
There are three of them. One is of Chris and Eddie. It’s a shot of them sitting together in the Eddie Begins flashbacks. The next is of Chris and Shannon seemingly from 02x10 Merry Ex-Mas. The third is of a young Chris.
Pay attention to the way they’re connected. The picture of Eddie holding Chris is being held up by the quote “Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
That picture is connected to the picture of Shannon and Chris not by another Dr. Seuss magnet but by the Arrested Development magnet.
As we know, the quote on that magnet just so happens to be “I’ve made a huge mistake.”
The picture of Shannon with Chris from Merry Ex-Mas is connected to the picture of a young Chris with the quote “Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”
And the final magnet solely on Chris’ picture is the one that says “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.”
Just something to keep in mind as we move forward.
S6 E05: Home Invasion
AKA The One With Hoover the Dog
Things get a little strange here. I’ll explain why.
We see the fridge again in this episode when Eddie and Chris have the conversation about Hoover and separation anxiety.
However, we only see a small piece of it. We see the side, which is now empty. Last time we saw it, the large white calendar was there. We also get a glimpse of the photo of Shannon and Chris. (Thanks, @stagefoureddiediaz!)
She’s being held by the magnet we last saw on Chris with the quote “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.”
Tumblr media
To quote @stagefoureddiediaz on this post:
“...the first time we see them they're all interconnected on the fridge - one with Shannon, one with Eddie, and one which is just Chris (as a baby and how cute!!) suggesting that all 3 of them are still interconnected. The interesting thing is that the Shannon and Chris one is the one in the middle - almost like a connecting point between Chris and Eddie. But then we do get a very tiny glimpse of the Chris and Shannon one in the scene with Hoover, and we can see that they've moved - we cant see what the others are doing, but we can see that Shannon is now off to the side and not at the centre of things - it's likely that at this point they've all separated, we just can't see it.”
Normally, we’d move on from here to the next episode, so consider this the end of the canon portion of this episode.
However, we can’t just jump ahead because we have a BTS shot of this scene (courtesy of @911bts) that shows us the entire front of the fridge.
We can deduce that this shot is from this particular scene because it doesn’t match the previous episode with the school calendar, and the pictures to the left are straighter than they are in the next episode, which you’ll realize when we get there. (There have only been the three scenes so far.) The calendar we’ve linked to Eddie in the past has also now moved from the side of the fridge to the front of the fridge.
There is a good chance that some of the footage from this scene was cut. For what reason, we can’t be sure. But you can read more on this post if you’re interested in our (mine, @stagefoureddiediaz, and @theladyyavilee)’s discussion surrounding it all.
Tumblr media
Earlier, we also mentioned a BTS TikTok posted by @911bts. It seems to be for the same episode. The quality is low, but we’re able to tell that both of the orange magnets are still on the fridge [pink boxes below]. Only two of the six magnets are that color, so it has to be them. This is noteworthy because one of those magnets is gone in the next episode.
Tumblr media
So, more fridge content may have originally been meant for this scene that we just didn’t get to see, and the photos are indeed no longer connected the way that they were previously (as @stagefoureddiediaz concluded just from what we were able to see in the episode). None of this was actually shown in the episode though, and that may have been for a reason. It’s just something to keep in mind because the BTS will come up again in the next episode as well.
S6 E08: What’s Your Fantasy?
AKA Buck Babysits Jee-Yun & Chris Goes to a School Dance
This episode gives us our next actual view of the front of the fridge.
Tumblr media
Now, we know that there was a bit of separation during the Hoover episode, but it’s gone even further in this one. Whether or not you take the BTS into account, the pictures have more distance between them than they did before.
Shannon has moved even further away to the top left corner of the door, and Eddie has moved into the right corner of the door. Chris’ photo is tilted in the lower-center.
Another major change to note in this scene is the removal of two magnets.
Both of these magnets have been on the fridge since they first appeared in S3, and they were put to use in ‘Animal Instincts’ (and possibly ‘Home Invasion’ if you decide count the BTS as being canonical to that episode).
One of the magnets that has been removed is the Arrested Development magnet with the quote “I’ve made a huge mistake.”
The last time we saw the Arrested Development magnet about making mistakes, it was connecting the photos of Eddie and Shannon each holding Chris. It’s now gone.
Two quotes from @stagefoureddiediaz‘ in the replies on and reblog of this post sum it up well:
“...that was the quote and it’s not just holding up the Shannon picture - but connecting the Eddie and Shannon pictures / then it’s gone and they’re no longer connected - and then we have Eddie - seemingly having laid her ghost to rest and moving forward rather than holding onto the past...”
“But then [the photos] move again - and they've separated even more [...] almost like now that we've seen Eddie have a conversation where he talked about Shannon dying openly and with someone who is essentially a stranger and who didn't know his past, accompanied by the pictures separating and a story where Chris is growing up and pulling away from Eddie - at the same time Eddie is in a place to move forward - I'm here for it!”
The other missing magnet is the Dr. Seuss one that says “Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.” The last time we saw this magnet, it was connecting the photo of Shannon and Chris to the photo of the younger Chris. It’s now gone, which can tie into the hints of foreshadowing we’ve seen regarding Chris so far this season and also be a reminder that he and Shannon have no more fun days ahead of them. To quote @stagefoureddiediaz again from the same post:
“…because it just further implies that Chris in danger is incoming - because to remove [the] one that implies tomorrows going to be another good day (and after we saw Chris having a good day on the beach) is screaming that tomorrow is in fact not going to be a good day…”
To quote her from our DM:
“[…] I’m thinking it’s [also] connected to the idea of his family being whole - that we might not see that magnet [again] until buck is more a part of the family - he’s still going through his own thing at the moment so he’s not ready to fully embrace being a part of the Diaz family.”
But make of that what you will! We’ll revisit this as needed!
Because two magnets with quotes were removed, let’s also note the ones that remain and their placements.
Shannon is still being held in place by quote  “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.”
Eddie is now being held by the quote: “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” We last saw this magnet helping hold the event calendar for Christopher’s school.
The photo with Chris alone has two quotes holding it up. They are: “Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person’s a person, no matter how small.” and “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.”
These choices may be random. What stands out as more intentional is the removal of the two magnets that have been there for the past three seasons - including the beginning of this one. We’ll revisit all of these and their possible relevance as more content becomes available.
The final thing we note in this episode is the calendar representing Eddie which is now front and center instead of to the side which could show that his story is now a focus. It may also be a sign that he’s on the right path now as opposed to his struggles to figure everything out in S5. It is a blank monthly calendar with two black x’s on it.
Tumblr media
We know from the BTS that at least one of those black x’s was already there in ‘Home Invasion’. However, it wasn’t shown on screen.
Tumblr media
This is our first time really seeing either of them. The x’s are on the Monday and Thursday of the third week. No other writing is on the calendar.
Some theories (including 🤡🤡🤡 ones) were thrown out and discussed in the reblogs of and in the replies on this post, but we can’t draw any real definitive conclusions about what these x’s mean. So, I won’t get into detail about those theories at this time.
S6 E12: Recovery
AKA Buck Falls Asleep on Eddie’s Couch
There’s quite a lot of fridge content in this episode. I’m going to focus on the magnets and everything on the front of the fridge, and I’ll explain the other connections and link out to other related fridge theories as we go.
Tumblr media
We get a new Durand calendar in this episode. Eddie’s calendar has again been removed. It’s different from the Durand calendar we got in 06x04. The most noticeable difference is that it no longer needs to be held up by other magnets. It’s able to stick on its own – without assistance - which could be a nod to Chris’ growing independence.
The photo of baby Chris and the photo of Shannon and Chris have been moved to the right side of the fridge.
Chris is still being held by the quote “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.”
But the quote “Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person’s a person, no matter how small” that was previously helping hold up Chris has moved to join the photo of Eddie and Chris instead. The picture of the two of them alone on the left side of the fridge is being held by both versions of the same quote: “A person’s a person, no matter how small” and “Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
Shannon and Chris is still being held by the quote “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.”
Multiple things to make note of here.
First of all, despite what you may think, that is not the exact same picture of Eddie and Chris that we’ve seen in previous episodes. It’s the same image, but this one is printed in a landscape format as opposed to the portrait format we’ve seen previously.
Tumblr media
@stagefoureddiediaz posited two theories on this post: “there’s a part of me thinking about if it represents a widening of the picture - making space as it were but I honestly think it might just be a continuity error!!!”
These are both valid theories, and there’s no way of knowing for sure which one it is. She thinks there’s a good chance that the photo got lost when props were taken down, and they printed out a new copy (just incorrectly), but I’m personally leaning more towards it being more purposeful.
And that’s because of the photos on the right side of the fridge.
This is the first time we’ve seen photographs on this side.
In fact, the last “people” we saw on the right side of the fridge were the colored stick figure magnets, and we saw them slowly vanish as Eddie, Chris, and possibly Buck depending on your interpretation evolved as characters.
It’s interesting to me that not only is the calendar able to remain stuck to the fridge on its own, but the photos that have been moved over as though they’re on their way to being in the past (like the colored stick figures) are the photos of baby Chris and the photo of Shannon and Chris.
It becomes even more noteworthy to me when you think about what @stagefoureddiediaz points out on this post by @hattalove referencing both the photo in that post and the photo on the fridge.
#but also the fact that they oblitterated Shannons face out of the picture on the fridge of her and Chris from christmas 👀👀 #it says so much bout the place Shannon now occupies compared with the one Buck occupies #because that christmas was the christmas of the Elf - Buck was there but in the background #now shannon is there - only in the background and not part of important moments/developments etc
@sainteddie made that point on this post by saying: “but this week’s kitchen scene in particular reflected this growth so beautifully.. along with the rest of eddie’s healing… because they were able to showcase christopher existing outside of their dynamic. buck didn’t ask, eddie didn’t volunteer anything. christopher was able to exist quietly in the lunch eddie was packing without needing words. because this was about them and what they’ve built.”
There’s a lot more to that post, and I recommend reading it. This is just the bit relating to the kitchen scene. Because I’d also argue that Chris is being represented there but existing outside of their dynamic by his calendar being the one on the fridge. Particularly when looked at through a lens of independence.
This scene being focused on Buck and Eddie and their dynamic outside of Chris is also supported by another theory related to what’s going on inside of the fridge. I won’t get too deep into that because this post is already a LOT, but the general idea revolves around the fact that the water in Buck’s fridge was empty whereas the water in Eddie’s fridge was full.
To quote @yramesoruniverse from this post about the water (which was first pointed out by @anxieteandbiscuits in the tags of this post): “I lost the post, but bravo to whoever caught that the water container in Buck's refrigerator was empty. You know, before he asked for water and Eddie poured him a glass. Before he fell asleep on Eddie's couch underneath a painting of the ocean. Before Dr. Salazar told him that "water finds its own level, people do too." I mean, water was already a significant metaphor for Buck, Eddie and Chris. And then they did that? Insanity.”
[ I don’t want to stray too far from the magnets (and the content on the front of the fridge) beyond what’s necessary to explain their significance in this episode, so see this post for more detailed information. It’s a list of links for water theory, beer theory, and more conversations surrounding this episode and the fridges within it.]
Before we go, here’s an up-close look at Chris’ current school schedule. As you can see, whoever did the numbering on this for the show forgot weekends are a thing. 😂 But it looks like he’s got a science fair, another fair, an English paper, and a math quiz in his future. 😎 Make of that what you will. 🧐
Tumblr media
S6 E15: Death and Taxes (shoutout to @lesbiandiaz for sending us these pictures allowing us to get started early)
AKA Buck and Eddie Talk in the Cemetery
So much is going on in this episode, so let’s break it down bit by bit.
We’ll start with the calendars.
First up, Eddie’s calendar. Bet you didn’t catch that one! Thankfully for all of us, @catdadeddie did. We actually see Eddie’s calendar on the right side of the fridge where we’ve never seen anything up until now.
@stagefoureddiediaz sums it up well: ‘Ok so the calendar has never been on that side of the fridge before [...] and that is in and of itself telling (and heartbreaking) - Eddie has put himself to the side again - except now he's on the other side - he's moved past Shannon - the calendar has literally crossed past her pictures on the fridge from one side to the other - is symbolic of Eddies choice to move on and forward. I think that might be why we've seen it moving to the front and then back to the side - kind of like a move forward before a move back. But the  calendar is also hidden by the cupboards on this side - so Eddie has moved on and Eddie is back to waiting on the side or in this instance I think it might be him choosing to sideline himself (because he thinks Buck doesn't want him) and he's also hiding himslef a bit more - being protective - but the calendar isn't gone - its still there - if there was no hope then I think it would've been removed - it just in a different place - Eddie is in a different place now.’
Tumblr media
Chris’ school calendar, however, has once again been replaced with a new one. (Maybe they noticed how we dragged them last time because we got an accurate calendar this week. 😂) It’s a calendar for April 2023. We first see it when Eddie is rushing out the door while on the phone with his mom, and because everything is so detailed on this one, we’re able to determine that the date of this scene is April 7th, and Chris has Science Club.
Tumblr media
Later in the episode when we see it again, it’s now April 25th, the day after his science project was due.
Tumblr media
@stagefoureddiediaz talked about the callback of it all to 05x14 and ‘I misunderstood the assignment’ by pointing out the science connection and more when they’re talking about the solar oven project at the cemetery: ‘Also connecting this scene to the one from 5x14 through the hoodie is insane - [and through] the science of it all - Christopher’s factual heart drawing [last time] - chris in grey stripes - when Buck wore a grey shirt in the 5x14 scene there’s something there about the information in those two scenes being connected - heart metaphors being at the centre and with the stripes representing change I’m thinking it might be in some way connected to the idea of moving on, but also acceptance that you can let new people into your heart...’
As for the calendar, we actually see Eddie write directly on it in the first scene while discussing Chris’ plans for Earth Day which is April 22nd. He writes the words “Field trip” on the exact right date. Chris’ schedule isn’t the only schedule Chris’ calendar is being used for though. We also see the word work repeated multiple times, obviously in reference to Eddie’s work schedule. Interesting that they’d use Chris’ calendar for this when the larger one is also on the fridge.
April 25th, the day they make s’mores, happens to be a free day for both of them.
Chris’ calendar and the marker/pen used to write on it are now being held by red clip magnets which bring to mind red flags and the foreshadowing we’ve seen with Chris so far this season. It just so happens that the third red clip magnet is holding up the picture of Shannon and Chris at the beach that’s been by the front door in a frame until now.
(Speaking of foreshadowing and red flags and beaches, Chris has surf lessons coming up, make of that what you will.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This picture was specifically moved to the fridge and placed in that clip for Eddie to knock it to the floor in front of us.
In the words of @theladyyavilee, ‘it NEEDED to be in the kitchen and it needed to be on the fridge’ which absolutely tracks when you consider not just the fridge symbolism that’s been at play but the recurring theme of the kitchen being the heart of the home.
@stagefoureddiediaz says ‘this episode was Shannon heavy - her presence was far more felt than at any other time. And when that picture falls off the fridge - eddie is feeling like he’s lost his other co-parent and so Shannon’s relevance has increased over Bucks - because even if she isn’t able to be there her presence will never leave. Buck however at that moment is different - eddie feels like he’s been left or that he’s going to be left and so Eddie seeking comfort in the shadow of presence that Shannon offers makes sense because she cannot let him down again - she can’t break his heart like buck [has] just (inadvertently) done...’
The clips aren’t our only new magnets though! We also have some new colored magnets! They aren’t the stick figures this time. They’re cubes. Specifically, red, yellow, green, and blue ones.
Tumblr media
We believe this is their new method of representing the Diaz boys and the people around them now that the stick figures are retired. In this scene, we get Eddie and Chris in these outfits:
Tumblr media
Eddie in green, and Chris in a tri-color shirt of yellow, blue, and gray.
Going to bring over some direct quotes from @stagefoureddiediaz to sum this up. ‘... my thoughts on that jumper are about connecting him to buck in bucks absence from the room - that the show is trying to hint at how Chris has 3 parents - 3 people who are making him in to who he is becoming - it’s something they took pains to point out in other ways - and bucks presence was in the Diaz grave scene with the other jumper too. So if the jumper is all three parents then the ochre use makes sense - Shannon is white - as she is no longer of the mortal coil. Buck remains blue and chris is the yellow - the part of himself that is him. Eddie is wearing green and is present in the scene and so doesn’t need to be represented.’
Buck’s been framed as blue and Eddie as green throughout the season, so this stays true to that, meaning the green block by Chris and Shannon is Eddie, the yellow block on Shannon is Christopher, and the blue block slightly off to the side is Buck. Also notable is the red block over by the red clips because we see Natalia wearing a red dress in this episode and she has significant ties to death and can also be seen as pulling Buck slightly away from the other two.
The landscape portrait of Eddie and Christopher has notably remained the same, including the tilt of the quote magnets being used to hold it up. Eddie and Chris’ relationship is stable, and there’s still space to add in someone new.
Tumblr media
Final notes:
Chris is still being held by the quote “I meant what I said, and I said what I meant.”
The calendar has the quote “Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.” holding down the botton even though it's being held up by a clip.
Until next time! 💃

Princess Annaliese Spotted Entering Duke of Margate's Luxury Penthouse!
There's no denying it; they ARE together!
Yesterday afternoon paparazzi were tipped off that Her Royal Highness Princess Annaliese would be escaping to her forbidden beau's home for the weekend!
Sans her trusty bodyguards, the princess made it almost too easy to catch her arrival to the Sandoval Estates luxury apartment building. The building is located in the financial district of downtown Windenburg and caters to the elite of the elite. The price for buying a condo on the lower levels alone is well over §2,000,000!
The (very much MARRIED) Duke of Margate owns the entire top two floors of the building and lives there when the House of Lords is in session for the season. Every year for the past ten years his wife, Duchess Mariah, has lived there with him...that is until earlier this year when she strangely decided to stay behind in Margate for the spring session. We have to wonder if perhaps the Duchess has known something was going on between these two for awhile?
Tumblr media
(Above: Cool as cucumber, Princess Ana was anything but embarrassed being spotted entering her rumored affair partner's home. Perhaps this was, in fact, a planned encounter with the paps on her part?)
No formal announcement of a split between Duke Alexei and Duchess Mariah has come though, so what in the world is HRH doing giving us a soft launch of her relationship? An insider in the princess's camp claims she's tired of waiting around for the "inevitable" divorce.
"The thing you've got to know about Ana is that she's patient and sweet, yes, but once that patience has run out the claws can and will come out. She's always gotten what she wants and right now what she wants is her man to be HERS in private and in public."
Our source further claims that HRH is pushing the Duke to make a move with the divorce. According to them, the Duke and Duchess of Margate have been separated for over two years and the Princess is tired of the Duchess dragging her heels when His Grace has clearly moved on with his life.
Tumblr media
(Above: Out with the old wife in with new? HRH showed off her custom mint colored designer bag and thousands of simoleons worth of jewelry. Her chic sunglasses also cost over §25,000!)
Princess Ana, who has maintained a "perfect" reputation throughout the years compared to her older brothers, has shocked the nation by becoming embroiled in this affair; not only because she's pursuing an older, married man but also because the Duke of Margate has often stood against her father, His Majesty the King, more often than not when it comes to the whole House of Lords vs the Monarchy situation.
While no official statement has been made on this matter by the Palace (which told us that it "does not speak on the personal lives of the Royal Family" when we reached out for a comment), we can't help but believe that His Majesty is furious. Especially after rumors have surfaced that Princess Ana has recently been turned away from having an audience with her father.
Tumblr media
(Above: A cunning fox? HRH enters the known home of rumored affair partner, the Duke of Margate.)
Despite the negative press and rumored strain on her relationship with her father, HRH has maintained a calm demeanor, especially during the ambush yesterday by the press. HRH refused to make any comment to the questions the paps were shouting at her and was polite as ever while going on her way. The sly little glance she gave us as she entered the building certainly leads us to believe that this is all a part of her plan after all...

Where would be the best place for buddie to go canon?
Okay, I have conflicting feelings about this, because nothing about buddie goes smoothly, they literally start because of a bomb, so I kinda think that they should keep the trend and make it happen somewhere unrelated? I know most people want it to happen in a kitchen, and I agree to a degree, but because the kitchens are sacred and I want that to be broken (I don't really think it's gonna happen, but I kinda wanted to see them fight in one of the kitchens because that would cut so much deeper than them fighting in unrelated locations), I also kinda think it shouldn't be in a kitchen. That being said, from existing locations, the ideal spot is Eddie's kitchen, but mostly because Eddie's kitchen has this energy of comfort and honesty, and if we keep the trend of important things happening to them in a kitchen, like Buck introducing Eddie to Carla, the post-tsunami conversation, them clearing the air after the lawsuit, the couch talk, them talking about the shooting, possibly Buck coming out, we could go there, but the thing is, it mostly happens at the loft tho, Eddie's kitchen doesn't really have romantic connotations the same way the loft has, and it is a place of vulnerability for Eddie, it's where we see him talk to Carla about Chris being scared of the job, it's where we see him talking to Chris during his breakdown arc, even the breakup with Ana is more about him being honest, and the 6x12 scene that has a lot of that with the way he's talking about being shot, and you have things that are exacerbated like when Buck is trying to talk to him in 5x11 and he doesn't really go into the kitchen, because Eddie is not letting him, and all of that is not true for Buck's kitchen, because loft in and on itself is a place of doomed relationships, with him getting it with Ali just for them to break up right after, everything about Taylor, Natalia running from it, so like, Buck doesn't really have a successufull relationship that's attached to his loft, so if we are talking about maximum intimacy in a sense, especially since I'm a firm believer Buck needs to make a move, so letting Buck in like that in the kitchen would really really drive that point home, to have Buck say "I love you, I want you, I want this" and having Eddie reciprocate there would be very intense. Even more if you consider the breakup with Ana "it's your mess now" and the whole thing with Abby and "stepping in with them" you could have a pretty epic scene happen in there. And when you consider how kitchens are an intimate place in 911 as a whole, and it might be just me and the way my therapist keeps telling me that regards relationships "if your life is a house, it's fine to keep people in the porch, but it's not everyone you can invite into the kitchen" and the way the show has made a point of Eddie being extremely careful about who we see in his house, and how the show loves to use locations in characters in a meta level, I don't think you can get more, I don't know, intimate, than Eddie's kitchen,
BUT the thing is, a lot of buddie is contained to the house. To the point that it is weird that they only had one scene in there in s6, so there's a chance that getting together there would confine them into the house in a sense, even more with the way things keep happening outside the house lately, to make it happen in a completely new location would be interesting, depending on how they play it. Because they had very intense scenes that happened outside the safety bubble one of the kitchens provides like the will reveal, them making up after the lawsuit at the station, the cemetery, even the grocery store of it all, the panic attacks convo, stuff like that, and that could be nice to watch.
There's a chance that the way they have been fumbling in their relationship since the last time we saw Buck with Eddie in the house is to make a point of how the house is their spot and the getting together would be to solidify that, and maybe we won't see Buck in the house if it's not about Chris until then, but I also think a lot of the message season 6 gave with not letting them in the house all that much is that buddie is more about the people and less about the space, but considering they haven't been alone outside of a call or at the station since the cemetery, a scene that feels like a breakup, them getting together at the house could give this sense of they finally got it right, with the way the house feels like home for the audience when it comes to them and Eddie is very careful about who he lets in it, so it could give this idea that they are finally home, so, like, if we are staying contained to known locations, Eddie's kitchen for sure, but that's because that would be the best place for an ideal getting together, but when have things been ideal for them? So I think a random location would be fun if they play the scene right. Especially because if they are moving in the direction I think they are going, where there will be no previously established pining, they're not gonna make it as if any of them have been secretly aware that they're in love with the other, you can have them kiss in a random location, and you make a kitchen scene the first time they say I love you, so you keep the milestone in the kitchen, but you don't make them get together in the kitchen, so you don't trap them in the house. You can even make the get together something heat of the moment outside the safety bubble, that they can't talk about in the moment it happens, and then have them talk about what it all means for them in the kitchen, so you maintain the kitchen of it all as they define the relationship, but not the actual getting together.
TLDR: random location for a kiss, talk about it in Eddie's kitchen is my ideal scenario right now.

s3 thumbnails!
*spoilers* The thumbnails are always fun to try to figure out!
Tumblr media
So the first one is I think from the last episode, probably the last scene, in the hospital after Tere gives birth (it's a boy!). They're wearing the padlock and key necklaces!! Look how they edited out the shaft of the key on Ana's necklace lol. Mariana is actually wearing them both at one point in the season. So she's probably gonna give the key one to Ana at one point? I can't believe they took the fan theory and ran with it lmao! But yeah the group picture is from probably the last episode. I think before going to the hospital there's a celebration of some sort, the girls' maybe birthdays or something? Anyways Ferrán isn't in the group photo so... seems like endgame right??? :>
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously the second one, but even the first thumbnail I think are related to when Ana probably after talking to Elena, decides to start exploring some more. Ludwika's outfits are the same in the thumbnails as in the IG stories, and the other actress' (Verónica Toussaint. I tried to look for the characters name but she's not in the s3 cast pic that was posted) too. It looks like they're meeting on two separate occasions. The first being the time Ana has the black outfit on, maybe in a bar or restaurant, and then the second one with Ana's white outfit. From the trailer it looked like it was at the other woman's house maybe. I wonder if they went to high school together and that she's a part of whatever Alma Toca hinted happened xd. Also "I kissed a girl" was conveniently chosen in the b&w IG story.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No idea what's happening here, but they're holding signs with Mariana's (and maybe Ana's?) face on them lol. Unsure about the one with *;O* Mariana too. Looks like she's in the office. The only thing about the third one is that they’ve changed the background colors for the characters. Ana usually had the blueish colored background and Mariana the pinkish. Probably doesn’t mean anything though xd Any theories?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Ana and JC ones... Idk what they're up to or where they are. Are they alone or is it a family trip thingy again? There are some bts pics with like Ana and her dad, and Ferrán and Pablo in a new location I think. I don't know if they're at the same place though or anything (although the one with Ferrán and Pablo probably is at Ferrán's house but idk). I just want as little as JC as possible. He was so fkn annoying last season and seems like he still is. Anyways, lastly the official poster. Nothing special really, it's cute. Ceci and Ro are gone. Whoever's editing JC in these has something against him they always mess him up lmao. Even in the 2nd one. Wth did they do to his neck and why?!

me when i say Fuck It to gun's timeline because two weeks is just Not Enough Time in my eyes to properly hold a missing person search throughout several counties and give them time to actually yknow. search ( which we know is already debatable but at least long enough to make it seem like they "tried" yknow? ) before calling it all off.
( which also this does not have to be adopted by anyone else - im just rambling and all but i do believe two weeks is just. not enough time at all- )
maria left for that last trip just before the uni of texas' spring break started. which typically seems to land somewhere between early-mid march (8th-16th). meaning she disappeared in that week.
( im inclined to say maybe within the first 3-4 days of her leaving is when she was taken, probably after she'd been driving most of the first and stopping at random to take photos. also inclined to say she left earlier than break actually started due to how any places she probably wanted to get to ).
her car was discovered abandoned - which could have easily been moved to a different location than where she actually went missing. and that could have taken any number of days to have been reported to local sheriffs after being called in by someone passing by, and which wouldve taken longer to look into before making that house call to her family and announcing her being missing ( esp considering its the 70s so...things were much slower to be processed, searches to be formed took longer to find enough bodies to look, etc ).
so im thinking im pondering im perceiving this roughly :
beginning of march: - maria leaves 2-3 days before spring break actually started. - by the time break is underway, she's made it to her initial few planned stops but is taken, her car hidden briefly, to be gone through. mid-march: - by the time spring break ends and classes resumes, maria never returned to her apartment or campus. - friends probably assumed she'd gotten sick maybe or something went on back home. - her car is discovered that week being back from break, found someplace else, and family is notified. - police start the investigation and search for her once confirmed she hasnt been in contact with anyone back home since those first couple days being gone. - that first-72-hours of easily finding a missing person window now out the door which makes them less concerned of finding her alive. that coupled with the sawyer/hewitt influence around the different departments? they seem less eager to do their jobs, they appear to be avoiding sending search parties at all to look around a certain region. end of march thru april: - when ana catches winds of talks of them suspending the search by the start of april when no leads have been found i think is when she actually leaves their hometown to go find the friends, see if they know anything, come up with a plan to go searching for themselves. - danny told everything and he speed-demons back from his trade schools' training by the coast. - the friends start scouring every place they can think of that maria could have gone to - both that she'd been to before, and where she'd mentioned to them she had planned to stop at or drive past during this trip ( which i imagine must've taken them yknow. a while to do. cause i'd assume they wanted to be thorough since the police weren't. ) - they keep meeting dead ends with every place they go to til they reach newt, and ultimately come across drayton, luda, etc etc. ( insert teehee forbidden knowledge )
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like give it at least a little over a month to give shit time to unfold and grow more frustrating and confusing yknow? give it time for hopelessness to settle in to make that excitement of hearing from the scattered hewitt-sawyer family members of some possible leads refill them with the hope that maybe they've finally caught onto something!! that she was seen, that shes nearby maybe!!!

Character Intro: Panacea (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Ana by her family & the others
Lovey by Epione
Age- 17 (immortal)
Location- Arcadia, Olympius
Personality- She's definitely more sociable than her older sisters. She loves helping people & making them feel better. She's currently in a relationship with Podalirius, the younger brother of Machaon.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess. Being the goddess of universal remedies, she shares some of the abilities of her family members like vitakinesis (healing) and knowing a person's entire medical history. She can also create potions that can cure almost anything, pherokinesis (manipulating pheromones), psychic operation, & she also has the ability of internal body cleansing.
Panacea lives in a Mediterranean style house in the state of Arcadia. She also visits Tricca to see her boyfriend on the weekends. When she's in New Olympus, she either stays at the Grand Eaglepoint Hotel or with one of her friends. She has a few pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, and a pomeranian named Freckles.
Her go-to drink is a lychee bubble tea. She also likes fruit infused sparkling water (her favorite being the orange & cucumber one), ginger ale, pineapple juice, orange juice, aloe vera juice, and coconut water. Her usuals from The Roasted Bean is a small vanilla latte & a large peach iced tea.
Panacea's first date with Podalirius was an all day excursion at Wild Water Typhoon! Their first kiss happened suring a camping trip in Tricca when they got caught up in a rainstorm.
Her favorite desserts are the pistachio-olive oil cake from Hollyhock’s Bakery & her mom’s strawberry-banana granola parfaits.
In the pantheon, Panacea is good friends with Méli (goddess of bees & honey), Peitho (goddess of persuasion & sensuality), Antheia (goddess of swamps, vegetation, & floral wreaths), Thallo (goddess of spring & new growth), The Graces, Carpo (goddess of autumn & fruits), The Muses, Auxo (goddess of summer, vegetation, & plants), Philyra (goddess of perfume, paper, & beauty), Apollo (god of the sun, music, poetry, healing, medicine, archery, plague, light, & knowledge), Chloris (goddess of flowers), Pasithea (goddess of hallucinations & relaxation), Paregoros (goddess of soothing words), and Eupraxia (goddess of well-being & success). Her official mentor was Paean (goddess of physicians). Panacea also admires Nymphe (goddess of self-care).
Her favorite frozen treat is kiwi sorbet! Ana always gets a large cup from The Frozen Spoon.
A guilty pleasure for her are air fried feta sticks.
She believes that she's been the glue holding the family together since her father's punishment. Out of all the siblings, Ana has visited with Asclepius the most. She thinks that Hygieia (goddess of hygiene & cleanliness) and Iaso (goddess of cures & remedies) are too busy & selfish to care. Ana hasn't sent time with her little brother Telesphorus (Rusty) (god of rehabilitation) in a while, but she still loves hanging out with her baby sister Aceso (goddess of healing)- playing dress up & having tea parties with her many many dolls!
For other work (aside from helping with her mom's business), Panacea models for/endorses Paloma, White Lily Gallery, Bow + Arrow, Persuasions, Museology (The Muses' makeup brand), No.3 & Co, and House of Muse. She also writes a wellness column for Kythereia magazine. Personally, she's been thinking about starting up a wellness summer camp for kids.
Panacea does appreciate the closer relationship she has gained with her mother. Aside from work, she loves spending time with her- doing yoga, spin class, aromatherapy, shopping, pottery, acupuncture, & figure drawing. She also likes hanging out with friends.
Her favorite meal is a caprese salad with grilled flank steak. She also likes quinoa and kale salad (drizzled in lemon oil dressing) with a side of sweet potato fries. She also likes the vegetarian Greek pitas (with extra tzatziki sauce) from Garden Gatherings and her mom's chicken noodle soup.
"Not everything can be healed."

An Unbiased View of KIA Dealer in Santa Ana
At the top, there were $87 in hidden rates which were not expressed within the scheduling procedure possibly. Equally, these make my knowledge mediocre at greatest and left While using the notion that Dollar is not an exceptionally reputable provider.
Our clear pricing, combined with great customer service, places The client initially and has been the cornerstone of our organization for more than 50 yrs.
The administrative staff was confused about the pick-up time. Then garage younger guy was laying on the bench unwilling to deal with clients. At fall off, the Workplace wasn't open up & man in cost said I will be billed about $53 for gasoline change (somewhat under just what the marker was when rented) but, the company billed $173!
Tumblr media
The Alamo agent was extremely practical and knowledgeable of my plight and was ready to take care of almost everything.
To buy an automobile from Enterprise Motor vehicle Profits, you will require a legitimate driver’s license, proof of coverage, and an approved kind of payment. In the event you’d like to expedite the procedure, provide the next:
We’re below to help make auto shopping just a little a lot easier. You can now start your purchase through the consolation of your house while still enduring the pleasant, individualized service you count on from Organization Vehicle Income.
I've attempted to Make contact with them throughout the entire month once the incident to abide by up with my refund to which I'm greeted with voicemails and in no way a simple call again. Will not use this company. Inadequate customer support, weak online marketing (great for scamming), and inadequate conversation.
I take the doorways off all the time. I cruise the Beach front in The nice Sunlight, and it is The most fun auto ever -- particularly when you go ahead and take the roof off and get a tan.
I saw during the process YF and I couldn't believe it. You are suitable. Another thing to note concerning the Captiva is that Certainly, They are really in essence the last generation of Saturn Vue (a little crossover SUV), but The brand new Captiva's inside the Hertz fleet are primarily FWD versus many legit SUVs with measurement codes Q4, L, T which are possibly 4wd or AWD.
All in all, the experience was fine. People were friendly and the motor vehicle was awesome. The only real problem I had was they saved me on keeping with the airport shuttle pickup for more than forty-five min.
Unscrupulous and terrible. Steer clear of in any way expenditures. Nothing to like trying to offer me things I don’t need. Didn’t Possess an auto in The category I booked.
Terrific worth with quick pick up and fall off. At select-up sales agent didn't seem to know the many vehicles readily available and tried to get us to conform to a smaller-sized product.
Unsure why this transpired ur I took an Uber to this vehicle rental location and made a deposit to the reservation, as well as man, couldn’t even trouble to look up anything for us.
Even though Kia Sorento in Santa ana that my reservation was confirmed no car was available. I and my spouse and children are on the sidewalk at San Diego airport, 6000 miles from your home and I am told that Fox hasn't any car or truck for us. What rating ought Fox to have?

Bel knock knock
Tumblr media
Genesis suddenly appears and knocks him out with one of his wife’s sculptures. He finds a broken picture frame holding a picture of his family. He hears a shattering noise and rushes out to investigate. He begins to clean the mess in the house and tries to get back to work. Once again, Evan threatens to call the police and report a break-in, and the girls agree to be taken home.Įvan returns home after dropping off the girls. She sees Genesis and leaves angrily, believing, correctly, that Evan has been unfaithful to Karen. A friend of Karen’s, Vivian ( Colleen Camp), stops by to check if Evan needs any help. Evan becomes angry and tells the girls that he is going to call the police. Ultimately, Evan gives in and has sex with both girls.Įvan awakes after their three way tryst and finds that the girls have vandalized his wife’s sculpture. Evan tries to convince the girls to leave, but they begin to force themselves on Evan. The driver arrives to pick up the girls, and they both run into the bathroom. The girls begin to explore the house which begins to make Evan more uncomfortable. Evan begins to play some of his vinyl records that he has from his days as a DJ. The girls wear some robes as they get comfortable in the home. While they are waiting, the girls ask if they can throw their clothes in the dryer and Evan reluctantly agrees. The girls call for a driver to take them to the party. Evan allows them in to use the Internet to contact the party’s host to get their location. It is raining so the girls are soaked and their cellphones are not working.
Tumblr media
Evan informs him that they have the wrong address. He finds two young women, Genesis ( Lorenza Izzo) and Bel ( Ana de Armas), who say they are looking for the address for a party. The first night alone, Evan receives a knock on his front door. She has given instructions to her assistant Louis ( Aaron Burns) to have the sculpture moved to an art gallery over the weekend. Karen is a successful artist who has recently completed a project. Evan’s wife, Karen ( Ignacia Allamand), takes their two children, Jake and Lisa ( Dan Baily and Megan Baily), to a planned vacation at the beach. Evan is an architect who has a pressing deadline on a project. There will be no exceptions.Evan Webber ( Keanu Reeves) is happily married man who is left home alone for a weekend due to work.

Right here Is A fast Cure For Travel
In 2006, the average travel time for the nation was 25.Zero minutes. The longest average travel times have been related to numerous types of public transportation. No news release associated with this report. MARCH 18, 2021 - A new report launched in the present day by the U.S. The new information introduced in this report are based on the ACS pattern interviewed from Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019. transportation to o'hare airport from suburbs associated to travel focus solely on commuting and do not include nonwork journeys. The fact is, such huge strikes will not be crucial. Additional, if you progress to a much less densely populated space, there are benefits akin to much less site visitors, less litter, less crime, more diversity, more parks, and cheaper goods and services. Now, with the pandemic catalyzing extra folks move to the much less dense aspect of San Francisco, prices are now going up quicker. So they decided to maneuver again to San Francisco seven months later. The demand for real property within the much less dense side of San Francisco is sizzling. Believe me, I’ve been desirous about relocating out of San Francisco for years now. Certainly one of the most typical pushbacks I acquired from my publish, “Why You must Earn $300,000 A 12 months To Live A Middle Class Lifestyle,” is: why the hell don’t I simply go away expensive San Francisco if I’ve truly bought sufficient passive income?
If you want to speed up your path to financial freedom, you’ve got to squash your ego for that huge fancy house in a primary neighborhood. They then bought and remodeled a brand new home for a number of tens of millions! Once you perceive the challenges and get comfy with the new setting, then consider relocating to a cheaper a part of the country. The precise AirTrain experience is between seven and eleven minutes, relying on which terminal you land at, then you’ll switch to NJ Transit. Your switch to the city shall be shorter. The seats reclined further than those in economy, however don't lie flat, although ANA will be introducing staggered flat-bed seats on its worldwide routes, with additional storage and connectivity choices. Hats off to the employees at MB International. Perfect place within the airport space The employees have been wonderful and looked after me . The museum homes a group of 14 trolley automobiles, a number of freeway and horse-drawn autos, three model railroads, the Midtown Plaza Monorail, and numerous exhibits celebrating the transportation historical past of the world. By utilizing public transportation for their major wants and an everyday car for the odd trip the place it was needed, one Swiss study indicated automobile cooperative owners drove more than 60 % lower than they'd have in the event that they owned a car.
This journey is match for historical past, travel, and exploration enthusiasts. Manhattan has much less street parking but extra garages, while the other boroughs of recent York have principally avenue parking outdoors of some business purchasing areas. Like JFK, LaGauardia Airport can also be located in Queens, but is much nearer, solely 5 miles from Manhattan which (sometimes) makes it easier to get to. That is an elevated practice monitor in Queens earlier than it goes underground in Manhattan. GO Airlink is especially attractive from this airport so you won’t have the hassle of determining the bus or the practice for the longer distance. The airport has service to cities within the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Earlier than you order an Uber at Philadelphia Airport, go over the prices to verify the service matches your funds. The increase of about 2.6 minutes between 2006 and 2019 represents a rise of about 10% over 14 years. Vendor represents over 95% of latest clients gained by way of phrase of mouth.

Speedy transit programs are a quick, cheap, and dependable approach to navigate urban areas in the United States. In Massachusetts, Gov. Charlie Baker additionally urged folks to remain off the roads, warning them that plummeting temperatures could trigger flash freezing and icy roads, significantly in areas that see the wintery mix of rain and sleet. Should you turn on the news, there’s a great probability you’ll see images of what’s happening inside airport terminals worldwide. Most trendy limos are going to have state-of-the-art sound system that’s straightforward. These counties are dwelling to a few of probably the most well-known. With the ability to work at home undoubtedly helps with geoarbitrage little doubt. If you want to avoid wasting cash, the correct geoarbitrage strategy shouldn't be transferring to a creating nation. The last thing you need to do is uproot your whole life in a very new setting and feel such as you made a mistake. Now that the principles have been considerably relaxed and we will all get pleasure from a bit of normality than we've got been used to those last months, many of us are desperate to take a vacation so we can have a break from wanting on the 4 identical walls we have now been subjected to.

ya’ll ever dissect a brief two-second clip in a trailer for a season of a show that hasn’t come out yet and concoct a small story around it that turns into an almost 2k-word fic at almost 2 am in the morning? no? just me?
anyway, i’m obviously hung up on that brief clip in the 911 season 5 trailer where Eddie falls. Is he panicking? Maybe, and that’s definitely what I wrote about. though, halfway through writing, when I was just watching a gif set for the clip, i had a thought that maybe he was poisoned instead. but, well, I was in too deep by that point.
Trigger Warning for Panic Attacks.
There’s panic, Eddie thinks, when he’s on the job. Panic that strikes a chord against the adrenaline thumping in his blood. Panic that drives his muscles and activates the sheer need to act and save in his mind.
This, Eddie thinks, is not that type of panic.
This is the panic that pools at the bottom of his stomach, always there and always waiting to accumulate, to feed on his fears, to expand upward. This is the panic that slides past his rib cage in the background until it’s snaking around his lungs, constricting slowly until he suddenly can’t suck in a deep breath and thus panics harder.
This is the panic that chips away at his brain, replacing the known with the biting edge of the unknown. Burning away the calm and revealing the trauma that’s been tucked away. This panic nips at his heart and eats at his nerves until he succumbs to it, the icy trace of its presence bringing with it a cold sweat that slips down Eddie’s temples.
He tugs at his collar, his pulse pounding hard against his neck, but it’s not enough. His breath is trapped, unable to sneak past the panic molding over his lungs. His hand falls to his side limply, and for a moment, he stares at the ground, his vision swimming, the faint background sounds becoming lost to the roar of his heart.
He doesn’t realize he’s falling until his back hits the ground, the air trapped in his lungs pushing out with a low wheeze. The pain that erupts along his back is numbed under the weight of bottled memories, of the gun shot that ripped through his arm, of the blood painting his world in a thick, deep red that drowns him.
“Eddie? I heard something fall.”
He’s no longer on the floor, instead lost in a hazy limbo, what he fears most unfolding before him. He’s gone, and Christopher is grieving. His son is shutting everyone out, his voice muted under the pain. The 118, once a solid foundation, cracks, and Buck? Buck screams his voice raw. Buck punches at a brick wall, over and over until his knuckles tear and bleed. He swings when Bobby tries to stop him, and then he crumbles.
“Edmundo!”
As quickly as it comes, it’s gone, and Eddie gasps, the single breath a mountain to climb over. He’s at Ana’s. It’s their date night, and she was finding a pair of earrings she received as a birthday gift a few years back. They were set to leave for their dinner reservation in just a few minutes.
His shirt is damp against his skin, and he trembles the entire way to his feet, each muscle wobblier than the last.
“Edmundo, what happened? Are you ill?”
Ana’s frantic at his side, and she palms at his forehead, the worry across her face evident even through his fuzzy vision. He shakes his head, and she pulls her hand away, lips pointed downward.
“You’re ice cold,” she worries, one hand sliding down his arm. “What’s wrong?”
He shakes his head again, unable to speak around what little breaths he’s able to take in. He’s on autopilot when he’s helped over to Ana’s couch, and he fades in and out of the present, eyes squeezed tightly shut as he struggles to recapture his breathing. His hands are fists at his knees, and he hunches over, curling in on himself, shielding himself.
He stays this way until a hand tugs lightly at his wrist and a voice calls out his name gently. He’s slow to lift his gaze, but when he does, Buck crowds his vision, blue eyes impossibly worried before him.
“Buck?” He croaks out, and Buck nods sharply, his fingers pressing to the inside of Eddie’s wrist.
“It’s me,” Buck reassures calmly. “I’m going to check your pulse, okay? Keep your eyes on mine.”
Eddie can only nod, the lump in his throat keeping his words from him. He trains his gaze to Buck’s. He knows Buck is counting silently to himself, and yet, Buck’s gaze doesn’t waver; his concentration doesn’t fold in the slightest. His eyes are sharp, focused, and after sixty seconds, his face relaxes a fraction, and Eddie’s lungs deflate with a low sigh.
“You’re okay,” Buck whispers, leaning forward until his forehead knocks lightly against Eddie’s, warm compared to his Eddie’s clammy one. His hand finds the side of Eddie’s neck, cups it gently, and Eddie holds the position, pulling all his focus toward the weight of Buck’s hand, the heat spreading across his forehead and down to his cheeks, his neck, stopping at his heart.
“I’m okay,” he finally repeats, voice low, cracking slightly, and only then does Buck pull away, frowning.
“Ana called.” Buck keeps his voice quiet, just a breath above a whisper. “She said she found you on the floor.” He opens his mouth, prepared to press further, but Eddie shakes his head sharply.
“Not here. Where’s Chris?”
“Kitchen with Ana.” Buck rises to his feet and steps away from Eddie’s view. “Sorry, I didn’t want to leave him—”
“—It’s fine,” Eddie mutters, his ears perking up to hear Christopher and Ana talking nearby. Christopher giggles quietly, and the furrow of Eddie’s brow smooths over slightly. “I need to postpone our date,” he adds, more to himself, and Buck extends a steady hand to help him off the couch.
“I’ll get Chris settled back in the jeep. Will you be okay to drive your truck back, or should I arrange to get it for you later?”
“I can drive,” Eddie mumbles weakly, and then Buck crowds his vision again, worry painted down every inch of his face.
“Try that again. If I still don’t believe it, I’m taking your keys.”
Eddie sucks in a deep breath. His chest still hurts, the panic still a nagging sheet of ice burrowed deep in the base of his stomach, but he’s able to hold air in his lungs until he exhales slowly, the line of tension across his shoulders breaking.
“I can drive.” He repeats, stronger, and Buck nods, his own body relaxing.
“I’ll see you back at your house, then. Be careful.” Buck turns on his heel, a smile playing across his lips as he rounds into the kitchen with Eddie close behind him.
“Chris! Do you want to put the band-aid on your dad’s arm?” Buck turns to lean in close to Eddie, whispering, “I told him you fell and hurt your arm.”
Eddie mouths ‘thank you’ at the same time Christopher shouts, “Yeah!”
Eddie plants a smile across his lips, forced against the lingering, nagging edge of panic, and he rolls up a single jacket sleeve halfway up his arm. He crouches down, points to an unmarked spot on his arm, and Chris carefully, almost delicately, spreads a Superman band-aid across his arm.
“All better?” Chris asks, and Eddie nods as he gets to his feet. He ruffles Christopher’s hair, his own smile warming across his lips.
“All better,” he repeats. “Thanks, bud. You okay to go back to the house with Buck? I’ll meet you there?”
“Yep!”
Christopher offers multiple goodbyes before he and Buck slip out the door, leaving Eddie to work around just how exactly to explain to Ana that he’s not sure he can do this right now, that he’s succumbing to the issues he’s been too stubborn to recognize over the last couple of months. That he would be miserable company for he’s too wrapped up in a gut-wrenching fear that bears its fangs when he least expects it.
“It’s okay, Eddie.”
Her voice is impossibly soft beside him, soft but classically genuine, and he turns toward her, frowning.
“Ana, I’m so sorr—”
“—Don’t,” Ana interrupts, stepping toward him and brushing a feather-light kiss to his cheek. “You have nothing to be sorry for.” Her breath is warm against his skin, her voice delicate, her words knowing where to step and where to tread gently. When she pulls away, Eddie almost feels guilty at the relief, at the weight that drops from his shoulders.
“Talk soon?” He asks, and she nods, a small smile tight at her lips.
“Whenever you’re ready.”
“Thank you,” he tells her, and he means it. Every inch of him means it.
---
When Eddie pulls into his driveway, he turns off his truck, but he doesn’t rush to get out, instead sinking against the exhaustion that’s been creeping over him his entire drive home. He’s drained, emotionally and physically, and he tips his head back, his eyes fluttering shut. He doesn’t look when his car door opens at his side; he only sighs.
“Hey,” he says.
“Hi.”
Buck’s being careful, Eddie thinks. He can tell by the way Buck’s tone almost tips up into a question, just not quite reaching that pitch. He’s leaving an opening for Eddie, and Eddie takes it. His eyes flutter open, and he rolls his head toward Buck.
“I’ve got some issues,” he says, and the laugh Buck lets out is nervous, worried.
“You don’t say.”
“I’m not sure what to do,” Eddie admits, twisting around until his legs are hanging out of the door. “Tonight was a lot.” He can see Buck taking in his words, dissecting them in a way he does best.
“You look exhausted. Do you want me to go—”
“—No!”
Buck’s jaw snaps shut at the force of Eddie’s single shout, and Eddie slides out of the car, slumping forward, his forehead dropping against Buck’s shoulder. “Sorry. No, I don’t want you to leave. I don’t want to be alone right now. My thoughts are—”
“—dark?” Buck finishes, his hand slipping to the small of Eddie’s back. “Not you,” he continues. “Scary?”
“All of the above,” Eddie mutters, and Buck’s hand presses against his back, pushing until Eddie’s flush against his chest. He wraps his arms around Eddie’s back, and Eddie returns the hug, melting against him.
“It’s going to be okay,” Buck whispers. “I’m going to be here, and I’m going to help you.”
Though Eddie knows Buck would quite literally bend over backwards for him, the ease of Buck’s tone, the determination laced within Buck’s words, cracks the icy panic that’s nestled in his stomach. It surprises Eddie still—just how much Buck is willing to be there for him no matter what.
“Thank you,” he mutters, and for the second time in a single night, every entire inch of his being means it.

On Buddie and them potentially being aware of their feelings
So we definitely see evidence of how Eddie might feel about Buck, how he clearly loves and trusts him. He absolutely relies on Buck a lot as someone who loves Christopher, as that person you go to who cares about your kid as much as you do. And he clearly doesn’t handle not having Buck around very well during the storyline that must not be named.
He also looks at Buck like “you’re lucky you’re pretty”, a LOT. And he’s shown to think about Buck’s wellbeing and Buck’s feelings. For a guy who’s not usually great at ~the talking~, he seems to sense that Buck needs to hear him actually *say* things like that he trusts him, out loud. For Buck, someone who’s been told that he’s reckless and impulsive, not diligent, not reliable (and to be fair to Bobby, has been all those things at times, but is desperate to change that view of himself), to be told that he’s trusted - more than anyone else - with someone’s kid? That’s huge. And Eddie knew that he needed to hear that, he also knew that he needed to feel like part of something when Buck was depressed and hanging around at home after the truck bombing. And Eddie was the one who noticed Buck wasn’t around at the station. For Eddie, the fact that they “have each other’s backs” is so important, because, and it’s insane how this is not wishful thinking on the fandom’s part, he actually tells Shannon that she doesn’t have his back. So yeah, absolutely nobody is disputing that Eddie loves Buck.
And I’ve talked about how I believe that Eddie might be bi leaning towards more into men than women (his “not my type” and aunt pepa’s reaction to buck are the foundation for this theory), and his particular combination of upbringing, experience and location really messing with him admitting that to himself (Conservative religious culture, Texas, army, getting married young because of outside expectations). But many of the scenes we get from him could - FROM THE OUTSIDE - very well just show a guy who has a lot of love and respect (and occasionally some fond exasperation) for his best friend. Possibly more, but not in that active, pining way. Not like he’s truly aware of it, yet.
But Buck? He pretty much always looks at Eddie like he’s the best thing that has happened to him, ever, and he can’t believe his luck of getting to be around this man. The smile he constantly gives him, and - in seasons 2 and 3 - only him, is the actual “I want to sleep with you smile” from season 1 Buck. I don’t make the rules.
He constantly finds ways to help him out, reads up on things he knows Eddie is interested in or things that are for some reason something Eddie is dealing with (whether it’s baseball biographies or summer camp brochures), and absolutely always looks to him for approval anytime he does something well or remotely badass. Or even when he makes a joke. It’s almost like 95% of the stuff he does, he does so that Eddie will see.
He sees himself as part of Eddie’s family to the point of not feeling like he’s a guest at their house, he has proven he would actually die for Chris, and he spends much of his free time finding ways of making Chris, the most important person in Eddie’s life, happy. He shares in both the happy and the difficult parts of raising Chris, he gets involved in school problems, and he’s there for Eddie to talk through all the little things that come up when you’re a parent. Often times, with single parents, when the other parent isn’t around, the problem is that there’s nobody else in your life who shares the same love and enthusiasm or worry you have for your child. You could talk about everything relating to them for hours, but even the best meaning friends will at some point reach the limit of how interested they are. Not so with Buck.
But unlike Eddie, Buck is also aware, to a point, of how much he’s focused on Eddie. Where Eddie’s jealousy comes across as more spur-of-the-moment, not something he’s even aware of, Buck seems like.. he’s thought about how he feels about Eddie. Others definitely have. Maddie’s comment about his “man crush” aside, even a random christmas elf (long may she live) comments on it. Hen and Karen immediately agree Buck would invite Eddie, like, Karen knows about this even. Their reaction when Buck is acting irrational over how they might get Eddie out when he’s buried alive and most likely dead already is that reaction of “Oh fuck, this will break this person” that is usually reserved for the significant other or parent. Bobby definitely reacts to Buck in relation to Eddie the way a father would, carefully weighing being amused at how obvious he’s being, and concern over not wanting him to get hurt doing something stupid trying to save Eddie, or by falling for him when it might not be reciprocated. They all know that Buck’s a little (more than) smitten with Eddie. And Buck... of course he’s going to notice how his friends and family react. I think he’s been aware of it for a while and is constantly trying to navigate and balance this.
Of course he hasn’t told his face about balancing anything at all yet, because look at that man’s face any time he looks at Eddie, look at that scene with the medal. He absolutely can’t help it. And sometimes it’s like he wants them to pick up on it - for example, pushing Maddie on the fact that he doesn’t consider himself a guest. And that’s completely understandable, sometimes you want people to pick up on something and maybe even comment on it (because their reaction reaffirms to you that maybe you’re not crazy) while also not wanting attention on that point. People are complicated like that. And Buck may be a himbo, but he’s complicated AF.
We get Buck being really weird about Eddie and Shannon in general - right off the bat. When Shannon shows up at the station and she and Eddie talk, Buck’s in the background and overhears that they’re sleeping together. He clearly struggles with this information, (and Chim possibly notices..) then he get’s real petty about them potentially getting married again (”Maybe you can get a discount”) - and he nopes out of the situation as quickly as he can - because he doesn’t want to risk saying anything snarky.
Then Chim and Buck go christmas tree shopping, and Chim comments on how Buck can’t let Eddie’s situation with Shannon go, and it’s true, he can’t stop himself. But when Eddie asks him for advice in front of the fountain (/metaphorical water penis as I like to call it), he’s suddenly all “I didn’t think it was my business” ... ok, sure, Buck. Then he basically tells Eddie to try and make it work with Shannon. In terms of character development, in a romance, this is the part where person A wants to be with person B but doesn’t think they have a chance, so makes the choice to try and settle for being their friend, which, heartbreakingly, involves pushing them into the arms of someone else.
Also, his kind of “oversharing” of Eddie’s situation with Ana to the rest of the team is, to me, a pretty clear indicator that the topic makes him uncomfortable and he’s trying a Ross Geller-I’m making Fajitas- “let’s show everyone how very completely normal I feel about this” approach, which.. it doesn’t.. work that well. And when does this ever work, it’s super easy to see through this, and it usually just serves to draw more attention to the fact that you’re uncomfortable with whatever is being discussed.
Buck also takes everything Eddie says to heart. Like, fucking takes it and will not let go of it. Half a season after Eddie tells him that he makes everything about himself, he breaks down telling Maddie he’s worried he’s making the situation with the old firefighter about himself again. During the kitchen scene (or “The actual how-to-guide of what to do when you thought the guy you have a crush on doesn’t reciprocate but then you have a fight and he really doesn’t handle being away from you so well so you kind of might as well see where being a little more openly flirty will get you”), Buck’s clearly thought about Eddie’s words from the grocery store fight, and he’s gonna call Eddie out. And maybe do other stuff.
Looking at what the writers are actually doing, to end the season, there’s the clawing at dirt of it all, Buck falling apart when Eddie’s buried alive. Buck being in almost all of Eddie’s memories when he’s close to dying. And Maddie’s comment about not wanting to set Josh up with Buck, which is innocent enough, but why throw that in on top of all of the above, if not because maybe what we’re actually looking at is that they’re setting up a sexuality crisis for Buck, and him realizing he’s maybe into Eddie, but Eddie not actually reciprocating (yet)? And say Buck is then somehow forcefully pushed to see the truth about how he feels, maybe by, i don’t know, coming across TK and/or Carlos on a call, and one of them asking him how long him and Eddie have been together? We might get Eddie with Ana, and a very long, drawn out process of Buck realizing what’s happening and trying to leave them alone, and Eddie being really confused about why Buck’s being like that. Then we would have two options (well, more, really, but these are two I like): 1) Eddie pushing Buck on that point and demanding an explanation and Buck just coming out with it because fuck it and sorry and please let me see Chris still 2) Buck’s sexuality crisis (or not crisis, if he’s always been pan/bi, which, look, nothing I’ve seen has disproven this theory) leading to him dating a guy and Eddie getting really jealous but not actually being aware of the fact what he feels is jealousy (because he doesn’t realize how he feels about Buck, see this whole essay you just read), and Buck being the one who confronts Eddie about why he’s being such a homophobic asshole about this, and Eddie straight up kissing him because he can’t not anymore.

“Are you sure you don’t want to come and just hang out? I hate leaving you alone like this.”
“Daniel, I love you. Thank you. But I’m good. I’ve been around people for months, I just need to be alone and get my head right.” She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a tight hug. “Besides, the way I bailed on that place with literally zero notice, I’m surprised my face isn’t up on the door with one of those Ghostbusters logo thingies through it.”
Daniel and Riley said their goodbyes. Once he turned the corner and was out of sight, Riley closed and locked the door and made herself comfortable on the couch. She spent the afternoon watching talk shows, and all of those small claims court shows that she had missed so much while she was away. Her problems didn’t seem quite so bad when she watched a woman be told all 7 men she brought with her that day were ‘not the father’.
When the buzzer rang, Riley didn’t think twice and instantly let them in, assuming it was the food she had been waiting for. She got to the door just as the visitor began knocking. Riley’s eyes widened as they met Bertrand’s. Of all of the people she expected to come looking for her, he was definitely at the bottom of the list. “Bertrand… What are you? How did you?”
“Lady Riley, I believe I deserve a bit more credit. You are the one who ran away to your last known address. Even Maxwell would have been able to figure that out.”
Still flustered, Riley stepped aside and signaled for Bertrand to enter. “You can just call me Riley. I’m done with court, I’m not a lady anymore.” She sat on the couch, and Bertrand sat next to her. “Why did you come here, Bertrand?”
He ignored her question, he found it absurd that she felt the need to ask why he was there. It wasn’t as if he were just in the neighborhood and decided to drop in. “What do you mean you are done with court? We still have a few days left on the tour and then when we get back…”
“Bertrand, you’re a smart man. How are you not getting this? I’m out, I’m done. I never belonged there, and I never will.” Riley took a couple of deep breaths to try to quell her emotions before continuing. “We’re never going to find Tariq, and I can’t just go back to a country where I’m constantly being looked down on, just so I can watch the man I love marry another woman.” She looked down at her hands, which she was wringing in her lap.
“Riley, we found him,” Riley froze, her eyes locked on Bertrand. “Maxwell, Drake, and Hana are in California right now to get him, and have him make a statement. This will likely all be over by the end of the day.”
For a brief moment, Riley got her hopes up, perhaps it wasn’t over. She and Liam could have a real chance at happiness. She shook off the optimism, and quickly jumped back into reality. “That’s great, I really appreciate that they would go through all of that trouble for me, but how do we know they can convince him to speak out? He ran away after everything happened, he was obviously trying to get away from this.” She got up and began pacing the room. “And even if he does make a statement, that’s it? The whole country will just say ‘oh hey, our bad, you aren’t a slut who two-timed our king, all is forgiven’?”
Bertrand approached Riley, placing his hands on her shoulders to keep her still. “He will give a statement. Those three are nothing if not persuasive. And once that happens, Liam will make his own statement to the people. They will see how happy he is to clear the name of the woman he loves. Everyone sees his face when he talks about you, Riley. The love, the adoration. The people will see that too, and that will matter to them.”
Tears started to pool in Riley’s eyes at the mention of Liam’s name. “Even if that happens, there will always be people that define me by my scandal. I can’t let Liam take that heat, he won’t be known for the amazing things he will do as king, he will be known for his infamous queen.”
“Riley…” Bertrand’s expression softened, he motioned for her to sit back down on the couch where he joined her. “As you are aware, Savannah was recently located, with...my son.” His voice cracked slightly, Riley noticed. “I have missed out on so much of his life, on all of this time that I could have been happy. If she had just told me what she was feeling, if she had voiced her concerns, things would have been different. We would have been a family.” He placed his hand over Riley’s before continuing. “You and Liam love each other deeply. That is clear to anyone who spends any amount of time with the two of you. Don’t lose that love because you are afraid to speak your mind. Savannah thought she knew what was best for me, and it has made both of us miserable. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, and I certainly wouldn’t wish it on my sister.”
Riley let out a small sob as Bertrand finished. He had always been so formal with her. Hearing him call her his sister, on top of all of all of the other emotions coursing through her caused the dam to burst. She covered her face with her hands, and Bertrand wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close.
The silence in the room was broken by a ping on Bertrand’s phone. Riley pulled back to allow him to remove it from his jacket pocket. He looked at the screen, and a smirk formed on his face before he turned back to Riley. “They have him, they are all on the jet on their way back to New York. Once they arrive, he will be going right to the soundstage to make his statement. It should be released in time for the evening news.” Bertrand stood, placing his phone back in his pocket. “Riley, I know I have been putting a heavy weight on your shoulders since the day you arrived in Cordonia, but you have handled it all with a level of grace and composure that I never would have expected from someone with your background. You have not been the woman I expected when Maxwell told me he brought home a waitress to represent our house in the social season, but if you give up now, you will have done all of that work for nothing and proven my initial suspicions of you correct. You are better than that Riley, I know that now.” He walked to the door, turning back to her as his hand reached for the doorknob, “Take some time to think about things, the court will be in New York for a few more days. I hope to see you back with us when we make our return to Cordonia, but it is a decision only you can make.” With that, he walked out the door, leaving Riley alone with her thoughts.

volcano kiss scene but make it medieval, for @perseannabeth 💙 note that this is little more than a fancy rewrite, but... marble king verse is too good to be done with completely
***🌊***🌊***🌊***
June, 1446
As Percy led his little band of adventurers through the tunnels of the Labyrinth, himself, his questing partner Ana Zabeta, his childhood companion Aegidius, and his half-brother, the cyclops Tison, following a marvelously clever creation of the god of fire, he allowed himself, for a brief moment, to feel a small sense of pride. They had finally located a deity who not only did not appear to have any negative designs on their characters, but had also promised them his help--after they had performed him a small favor, of course.
Hephaestus had fashioned for them a little spider made of metal, who moved about as though it had a beating heart, darting this way and that, nearly invisible, were it not for their torchlight flickering off its shiny, shiny legs. Though he would never speak it aloud, Percy felt a particular kind of pride on Annabeth’s behalf, as she followed the eight-legged creature with neither complaint nor fear. He knew full well just how totally she detested the beasts, her eternal and forsworn enemies, just as their mother had been an enemy of Athena.
They rounded a corner, moving from a passageway lined with a strange, shiny substance which felt cool to the touch to one of crudely-cut stone, when he spotted a tunnel off to the side, dug from raw earth, wrapped in thick roots which pried their way through the holes in the stones. Aegidius had noticed it as well, slowing his pace until he stopped entirely in front of the dark, gaping maw in the wall. “Aegidius,” Percy said, stopping as well. “What is it?”
It was as if he had not heard him. The satyr merely gazed into the black tunnel, his curly hair rustling in an impossible breeze.
“We cannot delay!” said Annabeth. “We must keep moving!”
“This is the way,” Aegidius muttered, hushed and reverent. “It is here.”
He couldn’t possibly mean… “The way to Pan?”
But Aegidius ignored him, turning instead to Tison, the creature whose very nature often rendered him speechless with fear. “Do you not smell it, too?”
“Yes,” said Tison. “Earth. The forest.”
Before them, the spider skittered further down the stone corridor. If they delayed any further, the trail would be lost to them.
“Once we have finished our errand for Hephaestus,” said Annabeth, “then we can return for Pan, I swear it.”
“The tunnel will have gone by then,” said Aegidius, with a confidence Percy had rarely seen before. “A door such as this will not remain open for long--and I must enter it.”
“But,” she said, desperate, “the forges!”
He looked at her sadly, but firmly. “I cannot go with you this time, Annabeth.”
Percy had forgotten--Aegidius was not only his companion. He had been Annabeth’s as well. He had been responsible for seeing her safely over the magical boundary in Sigeion. But the spider was nearly out of sight, and they could not tarry any longer before the gateway to the god. “We will continue to the forges,” he decided. “Aegidius, you go on to seek Pan.”
“No!” she gasped. “It is far too dangerous. If we part ways, we might never find each other again! And I cannot let you go alone.”
It was then that Tison, gentle creature he was, put his hand on Aegidius’ shoulder. As much fear as satyrs held for cyclops, Tison, for some odd reason, held just as much, if not more, for the satyrs. They had made an amusing pair at times, two of the sweetest, kindest people Percy had ever known, cowering in fear at the other. But Tison showed no fear now. Now, he was brave. “I shall go with him.”
Percy could not believe his ears. “You will?”
He nodded. “The satyr needs help. We shall find the god of the wild--together.”
Aegidius took a deep, steadying breath. “I wish I could see this through to the end with you, but--”
“I understand,” said Percy. The search for Pan was his life’s goal, the final prize in a quest which had taken his father, his father’s father, and so many searchers before him. If he did not succeed on this journey, the Council of Cloven Elders would never give him another chance. “I pray that you are right.”
Shoulders square, suddenly possessed of a confidence Percy had rarely ever seen from him, save for when he deliberated on how keftedes paled in comparison to spanakopita, he grinned. “I know that I am.”
Percy took a heartbeat to gaze on him one last time, imprinting him in his memory--just in case. “Be careful,” he told him. Then, he looked towards Tison, and opened his arms to his half-brother, who went into them willingly, squeezing Percy so strongly his eyes just about burst from his sockets.
Tison and Aegidius then disappeared into the darkness of the tree roots, lost to the wild.
“This was a mistake,” said Annabeth, her voice trembling. “We should not have let them go.”
“We will see them again,” Percy replied, attempting to summon Aegidius’ confidence. “Now, come on. The spider will not wait for us any longer.”
“Do not remind me,” she said, shuddering.
Before very long, the tunnel grew warmer, the stone walls red and glowing. The air felt as though they were walking through a giant oven, as though they had been transported into one of the forges beneath the villa for Hephaestus’ children, and he supposed, in a way, that they had. The tunnel sloped down, deeper into the earth, the spider nearly tripping over itself to reach the bottom, Annabeth right behind it.
Percy jogged to catch up. “Annabeth!” he called. “A moment?”
She glanced back at him, but did not cease her quick pace, forcing Percy to match her. “Yes?”
“I have a… question,” he panted, “regarding what Hephaestus… said, about your mother.”
“She swore never to marry,” Annabeth said, easily. Curses, Annabeth did not appear to be even remotely out of breath. He felt like such a fool compared to her, always. “She is one of the maiden goddesses, alongside Artemis and Hestia.”
Percy frowned. He had not recalled that detail about the war goddess--though, he was rather infamous for nodding off during lessons. Perhaps he had simply slept through that particular lesson. “But, if she is a maiden goddess, then--”
“How is it she came to have demigod children?”
Blushing, he nodded.
Now, this was not at all appropriate conversation, he knew. Young boys and girls were not meant to discuss such things with each other--not yet anyway. But Percy was nearly a man, and besides, he had spent enough time with Carlos and the older boys at the agoge to pick up a few pieces of knowledge here or there. Hopefully, Annabeth would think the flush on his cheeks was due to the heat of the cavern.
“Do you know how Athena was born?” she asked him.
“She was born from… the head of Zeus? In armor?”
“Precisely. She was literally born from his thoughts--and thus, her children are born the same way. When Athena falls in love with a mortal partner, it is a purely intellectual affair, just as it was with Odysseus in the epic tales. Our mother says that it is the truest kind of love.”
“So,” said Percy, frowning. “Your father and Athena… you were not--”
“I was born from their minds,” she interrupted, quickly. “Sprung from the divine thoughts of my mother and the mortal ingenuity of my father. Her children are gifts, blessings on the mortals she favors.”
“But--”
She turned to him, exasperated. “Percy, the spider has nearly vanished. Do you really wish for me to explain the precise details of my birth?”
Flushing even harder, he snapped his jaw shut.
Victorious again, she smirked. “I thought not.”
Running ahead to catch their guide, Percy followed, very neatly put in his place, and not certain he would ever be able to look at his friend the same way ever again. Some things, he decided, were perhaps better left as mysteries.
After another few minutes or so, they emerged into a cavern, larger than any stadium Percy had ever seen. It felt to be five times the size of the mighty Colosseum. There was no floor, just miles of bubbling lava beneath their feet. Standing on a rock ride which encircled the cavern, Percy saw a complex, overlapping network of metal bridges spanning the width of it, meeting on a huge platform in the center which housed the largest anvil he had ever seen, a block of iron the size of a villa. Dark, strange shapes moved about them, like formless shadows, too far away to discern what manner of creature they might be.
“We cannot sneak up on them,” said Percy, noting the distinct lack of places to hide with some despair.
With a slight grimace, Annabeth picked up their metal guide, its form having changed to a small ball, and slipped it into a fold in her dress. “I can. Wait here.”
“Hang on--” But Percy was too late, as Annabeth put on her magical cap, a gift from her mother, and vanished from his sight.
Percy cursed. He did not dare call after her, not willing to draw attention to her tactics, but nor did he appreciate the idea of her approaching the forge on her own. If those creatures could repel the likes of Hephaestus, what hope did Annabeth have? It was not safe. She was their leader--they could not risk her life. Percy would not risk her life.
Alas, he could never sit still for very long. Creeping along the outer rim of the lake of molten rock, he darted from stalagmite to stalagmite as best he could, hoping to find a better vantage point. Really, Annabeth should have known better.
The heat was horrendous, heavy and oppressive. Drenched in sweat, and eyes stinging with smoke, he moved along, staying as far from the edge as was physically possible, until he found his way stopped by a large metal box, fitted on wheels. Peering inside, he saw it was full scrapped metal, bits and bobs of broken swords and lumpy shields, piled on top of one another. Nothing he could reasonably use for an extra weapon, or even some kind of defense. Making to squeeze himself around it, he suddenly heard from up ahead a voice, rough and grating, speaking an ancient language which no man alive had heard for a thousand years.
Monsters, he knew.
There was no time to run away, no place to hide… except for the box. Leaping inside, covering himself with a dented aspis, he curled his fingers around his father’s sword, that blade Anaklusmos, hissing as the sharp metal of his bed cut between the soft parts of his armor, biting his tongue so no curse could escape.
With any luck, the monsters would pass him by, and he could continue along unmolested.
That was when, of course, that the box lurched forward, pushed along by the monsters, carrying Percy along with it. Malaka! Was he about to be tipped into a smelting pot?
All around him, he heard the chatter of terrible beasts. He was not so skilled in the ancient tongue as Annabeth, but even he could recognize a few words here or there, “weapon” and “cyclopes” and “furnace,” and some names as well: Zena, hissed with scorn, Posidaota, spat with bile, and, most chillingly of all, Kronos, spoken with reverence and awe.
Percy blinked against the sudden light as his cover was removed from his person, revealing himself to the monster, who was so taken aback by his presence, that it blinked back at him in return. For a few moments, neither of them moved, so shocked were they by the other’s sudden appearance. Then, springing into action, Percy slashed upwards, dissolving the beast in a cloud of golden smoke. Snatching up another shield and leaping from his bed of spikes, he saw with his preternatural vision a small army of at least twenty monsters, black like dogs, but with sleek, shiny skin, and legs which looked to be more suited for swimming than scrambling around the rocks of Aitne.
With a hearty battle-cry and another wide swipe, he repelled the front row of these creatures, carving himself some space to jump, sprinting for the mouth of the tunnel. The monsters followed after him, baying and growling as a pack of ravenous wolves, and they would have caught him, tearing him to pieces, had they been but a little bit faster. Thinking quickly, at the top of the tunnel, Percy hurled his shield into a column, the rocks crumbling upon impact, burying the monsters and blocking off the path with a great, noisy cave-in.
He doubted it would keep them trapped for very long. Not only that, he very much doubted that they had been the only monsters in the cavern. Percy had just announced his presence to anyone who might have been listening, destroying their chance for any sort of subtle reconnaissance.
And Annabeth was still out there, somewhere, invisible.
“Annabeth!” He yelled, running towards the platform at the center of the ocean of lava. “Annabe--!”
An invisible hand clamped over his mouth, wrestling him down behind a large, bronze cauldron. “Silence! Do you mean to have us killed?”
Arms flailing, he managed to locate her head, slipping off her cap of invisibility. She shimmered into view as an island emerging from the mist, scowling and covered in ash and grime. “It’s far too late for that,” he said, grimly. “I came upon a group of monsters, and brought the roof crashing down on them.”
Hissing curses, her hands clenched, as though she meant to strangle him, before she visibly managed to control her temper. “You said there were monsters?”
He nodded. “I know not what kind. I had thought they may have been dogs, were it not for their flippered feet and human hands, adorned with claws. They spoke of furnaces and weapons, making arms for the first Titanomachy.”
“Telkhines,” she gasped, eyes wide. “Of course! I should have known. I had wondered when I saw… well, look.”
Together they peered over the lip of the cauldron. In the center of the platform stood four of these demons, larger than any Percy had seen before, standing at least the size of a fully grown man. Their black, scaly skin glistened in the light of the fire as they labored, sparks flying between mighty hammer strikes on a long piece of glowing, hot metal, hissing to each other in the ancient language. “What are they saying?” he whispered to her. If he could not understand them, Annabeth surely would.
“They are talking of fusing metals,” she said, frowning. “Other than that, I--I cannot say.”
“Is that bad?”
She stared at him, incredulous. “The telkhines betrayed the gods,” she said, “for practicing dark magics. For their transgressions, Zeus banished them to Tartaros.”
“Alongside Kronos.”
She nodded. “We must return to Hephaestus at once--”
But no sooner had she spoken than a sharp, clawed hand pierced its way through the rubble of Percy’s cave-in, pushing aside the rocks which blocked its path, followed closely by its snout, teeth long and sharp and dripping with saliva. “You must return to the god,” Percy said, moving into a crouch. “Leave me here.”
“What?” she shrieked. “No! I will not leave you!”
At any other time, he would have praised her for her courage, but not now. “You must! Let me distract the monsters, and perhaps the spider can lead you back through the Labyrinth. You are the leader of this quest--you must take the message back to Hephaestus.”
“But you’ll be killed!”
“I’ll be fine,” he said, turning to face her. “As well, there is no other choice.”
She glared at him, her lips pulled back almost in a snarl worthy of one of the monsters. He knew this look of hers well--it was the one she wore whenever she considered hitting him for his foolishness.
But rather than hit him, she did something which shocked him even more.
She grasped the collar of his tunic, pulled him close, and kissed him. “Be careful, phykios,” she murmured against his lips, breath hot. Then she put on her cap, and vanished.
Percy couldn’t breathe, and not for the smoke. Had it not been for the lava, the monsters, the weapon, the quest, he would have been quite content to sit there all day, thinking of nothing but the softness of her mouth and the way her eyes sparkled in the firelight, unable to even recall his own name.
A sea demon screamed, jolting him back into reality.
The horde of monsters, freed from their prison, charged across the bridge towards him. Percy scrambled up from the ground, running for the middle of the platform, startling the large monsters so thoroughly that they dropped the red-hot blade over which they labored. It was as long as they were tall, curved like a crescent moon, its shape burning into his vision, sending shivers down his spine.
Unfortunately for Percy, the monsters recovered quickly from their shock. Every which way he turned, his exit was blocked by a small army, surrounding him. Cutting him off.
Raising Anaklusmos, he prayed that they could not see the blade shaking.
“Son of Poseidon,” rasped a demon, speaking Percy’s own language now. “We are honored by your visit, fish-blood.”
He spread his senses, casting about for an escape, but there was none. He was trapped.
“Will you strike us down, half-blood?” asked another one. “An you try, the rest of us shall tear you to shreds.” Licking its lips, it advanced on him, claws glinting in the glow of the forge. “Perhaps we shall deliver you to your father in pieces--an omen of the horror we shall visit upon him, and all the rest of the twelve, for their betrayal.”
Annabeth would not have allowed herself to be cornered this way, but Percy was no strategist. If the gods favored him at all, they would have seen to Annabeth’s escape, leaving him to his doom.
Was this to be his doom, he wondered? Trapped in the heart of a volcano, overrun by monsters which would use his bones to pick their teeth?
The tallest of the demons plunged its hand into the furnace, scooping a handful of molten rock. “Let us see the might of Olympus,” it said, grinning. “Let us see how long it takes him to burn!” And it threw the lava at Percy.
Dropping his sword, he swatted at his clothes which had been set alight, as though he had merely had an unfortunate run-in with the lava trap at the agoge, but it was not nearly enough, the fire engulfing him with each passing second. At first, oddly, it had only felt warm, though it grew hotter and hotter with every heartbeat.
“Your father’s nature protects you,” one monster sneered. “Makes you hard to burn. But not impossible, fish-blood. Not impossible.”
Later, Percy would struggle to remember the particulars. He would recall only the fire, and the pain. He would not remember how he crumpled to the floor in deepest agony, the sea demons howling in delight at his terror.
Nor would he remember the voice of the naiad at the farm of the giant Geryon. The water is within me, she had said.
Between waves of torment, there was a tugging sensation in his gut, calling vainly for water where there was none: not a river, nor a stream, nor even a petrified seashell. Percy called for the sea, the towering waves which could wash away villages, the currents which could destroy ships in a single blow, the endless power of the ocean, and he called for these things inside of himself, letting it loose in one terrible, horrible scream.
Fire and water collided, a typhoon of unearthly power shooting him up from the beating heart of Aitne on wings of superheated steam, peeling his skin away, another piece of flotsam flung from the earth by the force of the blast. Higher and higher he flew, further than Icarus, than Bellerophon, than Zeus himself, so high that the lord of the heavens would not be able to reach him--and then he fell, a shooting star, hurtling towards the sea which would not save him. Not this time.

 Breaking the Barriers “Farmers Market”
After our last assignment, I realized something very interesting about the Farmers Market. People who have “snap” benefits are able to use their cards to pay for fresh produce in any NYC farmer’s market. So, this got me thinking about the area where I live and how many Farmers markets are available to people within my community, which is low-income families. I took it upon myself to investigate this. I did some research online to see how many farmers markets I could go to within a 5mile distance from where I live and the dates/times they are open. This is what I found:
1.     McCarren Park Green Market only open on Saturday 8am-2pm
2.     Down to Earth McGolrick Park Farmers Market only open Sunday 10am-3pm
3.     Ridgewood Farm stand Open only Saturday 8am-3pm
4.     RB Bushwick Farmers Market Open only Saturday 9am-4pm
Then I interviewed some of my friends and families on the topic. I simply asked them three questions. First, “Do you know what the farmers market is? Second, do you know where the bears famers marketplace is around the area where we live? Third, did you know people with Snap benefits can use it towards buying fresh produce from the farmers market? Their responds where:

Question 2: “I don’t think they come to Brooklyn. That’s for rich wealthy people”
Question 3: “Oh word! No way! I have to look into that. I have a lot of friends that are going to be really hype to hear that”
I also when to the farmers market that is located in Union Square Park, and I was able to interview one of the venders that was there. I was able to ask if he often gets many people paying for the produce that they purchased, by using EBT/Snap. He responded that he does get some customers that uses it but he has noticed that most people pay with either Apple pay, Debt/credit or cash. I then asked him why he think that is and what he thinks would help people become more aware of this amazing benefits? He explained that he does think that the reason why most people use other forms of payment instead of EBT/Snap, is because it’s not promoted well enough. The way that it could change would be by making the signs up higher on each tent that shows that people can use their EBT/Snap benefits. It was a great experience because I was able to be well informed on this topic and it influenced me to speak more about it with those around me as well as positing it on my social media to inform others that perhaps have EBT and would like to get fresh produce from the farmer’s market.
The way That I would be breaking this barrier would be by talking with more people on this topic. Which I started off by doing so with the interviews of those around me. The second thing I plan on posting this information out on social media so that it not only reaches people within my home community but also those that live in different locations where they could then do their own research on whether or not they would get the same benefits with their nearby farmer’s market. Lastly, I spoke with a couple vendors in the farmers market located in 14st Union Square about putting up a large sign that indicates all the different payment methods and showing off the Snap card in bold. So far this action has brought awareness to many people that I know, and it has provided those people to spread the word to others as well. I think this barrier needs to be broken down because there's a lot of people that should be able to benefit from having fresh produce in their home without having to use other forms of payments and not having to travel far to get this service. In the reading “Language Development in Early Childhood” by Beverly Otto states great insights on the importance of children's exposure to language not only in schools but also with their families. Chapter two states, “Verbal interactions with children at home are more tailored for each child or, at most, shared with other children in the family unit” (Otto, pp 30). This is something that is very important because children grasp so much from their family and the day-to-day involvement that their families go through. One of the greatest things about breaking this barrier is that children can help their parents obtain this information when they go with their families to the farmers market. Going based off the community I based this topic on, there’s a large amount of people that would have trouble speaking English to the venders, therefore they can have their children not only be exposed to this new place of getting fresh produce but also exercising their language by helping translate for their parents/guardian at the farmer’s market. There is another interesting article that gives some rich insights of system theories titled, “Ecological Systems Theory: The Person in the Center of the Circles” by Nancy Darling. This article states, “When predicting the strength of association of parental knowledge with positive aspects of development (social skills, friendships with prosocial peers, good academic performance), one might predict a stronger association in high-resource environments'' (pp 215). This is so important for children to be exposed to a new system, where people come from a different state to provide fresh farm grown foods that their families can enjoy together. I think this is a positive aspect of what can occur with this barrier breaking.
Another insightful article is “The Experimental Ecology of Education” by Urie Bronfenbrenner states, “Thus the experience of a child in day care, in the classroom, or the informal peer group, may change the pattern of activities and interaction with parents or siblings in the home, or vice versa, with consequent implications of learning and development” (Bronfenbrenner, pp10). I think this quote is very important because as I stated before when families go food shopping, they tend to bring their children alone with them. By doing so they are exposing them to a new way of shopping for fresh produce that they could eat as a family and perhaps use that information through imaginary play with their friends and open to the conversations about the farmers market that that child’s family goes to. In the last article “What Is a System and a System Perspective?” By David Aloyzy Zera, I’ve gathered insight into system theory. It stated, “When one part of a system changes (or adapts to change), further change occurs, necessitating self-organization as the system tries to equalize itself to the new demands” (,pp). I think that this is a very important quote to analyze because it relates to many systems changing by breaking this barrier of exposing the information of people with snap being able to use their benefits to pay for fresh produce in a farmers’ market. As well as the change that would occur if more farmers market stations would open around the low-income family’s area and they would be available more than just once a week. I believe that system theory would play a big role in this area.
