Both of their lives just got flipped upside down. Anakin is traumatized by having to leave #his mother behind‚ then his Master's sudden death‚ and he's left with no certainty in his future. #Obi-Wan just witnessed his Master die‚ helplessly‚ then having to take care of this little human in his Master's stead‚ meanwhile feeling #wholly inadequate to be so suddenly knighted let alone immediately becoming a Master and taking responsibility for another being. #Both of them losing the constants in their lives. left uprooted. the only anchoring point being each other. #I imagine Obi-Wan wouldn't reach out to Anakin first‚ but if Anakin expressed compassion with him‚ grief‚ and his need to feel secure‚ #Obi-Wan wouldn't turn him away #this was just my excuse to give them a proper soothing hug in their time of mourning

At the start of this project all I wanted was to 'learn how to draw' using comics as a medium and the MDZS audio drama as inspiration.

I've come *very* far from making simple, 3 panel black and white comics, and I truly do intend to go even further. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on throughout 2023, it has been an incredible year in so many ways I never could have imagined. I look forwards to drawing throughout 2024 B*)

For all the work this blog has been- #-It has truly been a life saving anchor when the darkest of times have hit. #Love is hard work. Change is even harder work. Sticking to a goal I set out for myself and striving to keep going was worth it. #And I love drawing. I think there has always been something in me that longed for this. And it is finally tangible! I can draw!!! #I wanted to make a more elaborate year reflection where I looked back at my favourite comics and jokes. #but I'll leave that to the one year anniversary. #I have also been collecting a ton of statistics throughout the year and I am desperate to share them. The thing about CX-Tech and Suppose Crosshair Knows and Crosshair's Hand Tremor and the Raging Silence About Tech When Crosshair Is Bitching At Hunter in Ep 5 about Omega's Capture -

Plan 88. Crosshair risked everything to get that message out. Probably expected to die in the process/as a result. Instead found himself as part of a program that was so much worse.

Now suppose you're Crosshair and you've finally fully acknowledged the evil you're helping perpetrate and then you throw all in on doing the right thing by your brothers and it feels good because 'hey maybe I'm dead but at least I died on the right side.'

And then suppose they try to forcibly twist you into an even worse version of your chip-amplified self and the horror starts to sink in that you might be right back at square one. That you might find them in your scopes again one day and maybe not even know it.

And then suppose you discover that your morally self-assured genius brother does succumb to the process.

And against all possible odds, you escape but you're still right back at square one.

Knowing you could again find yourself gunning for one of your brothers.

So you don't say anything. Bear that burden and guilt and trauma alone.

After all - you're never going back.

Oh - and you get now why Hunter left you behind in the first place.

SEE I LOVE 5x20 because. ouat leans so heavily on the concept of true love as the GREATEST magic of all. two people who love each other so strongly that impossibility itself is reduced to ash, just because of how much they want to be with each other

but the concept of true love, in a romantic way, is often thought of in modern stories as of. two people predestined to be with each other. and it's something ouat has leaned into as well, with oq most prominently (but other couples as well)

and that interpretation of tl can be fun but idk. i think there's something about two people choosing each other regardless of what a predestined story might have had in the cards for them. and that being JUST as valid as all other kinds fo tl

so i really liked that cs's tl confirmation was uncertain. emma and killian really didn't know if their love was one of the pretold greatest of all time or the like. they just knew they loved each other and were willing to bet everything on that.

and so that was their test. choosing each other no matter what. and i think that's it.

emma and killian weren't a couple who against all odds were destined to find each other. they were two people who managed to love each other so deeply, that they twisted and bended fate itself to allow them to be together.

so what if they weren't destined for each other? so what if they were doomed to be apart, even? how could two people who love each other that much have their bond be anything but true?
