Tuesday Confessions
Ace and Law are the two one piece boys my sister says I’m most like. Idk if it’s a good thing, buts a polar opposite combination.
My favorite underrated anime is Tiger and Bunny! It’s so good. It’s on Netflix!
I’m a big Kpop fan. My favorites are BTS, Stray Kids, and Blackpink.
My favorite season is fall. I hate weather that is too hot or too cold.
I like snow and rain because I actually sleep better when one of those two are happening.
My favorite food is sushi!
I can’t whistle.
The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me when I was on a cruise. I was walking up open stairs. I lost my flip flop and hit a guy in the head. So beware of flying flip flops!!!

Today’s review goes to “WHISTLE.” Honestly, this song is one of BLACKPINK’s minimalist songs, which is rare in their discography. It’s a serious love song compared to its eccentric twin, ‘BOOMBAYAH.’ It’s romantic, sweet, passionate, smooth and eerie. Its music video is less dazzling compared to its aforementioned twin, but the glitchy, camp and extraordinary direction of the video absolutely captures the message of the song.
“WHISTLE” is romantic, because it’s an honest confession of feelings of love to a special someone. It’s sweet and passionate, because Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé and Jennie give it a visibly sharp edge, which makes it heartfelt without making it cheesy. It’s smooth and eerie, because it seems that everything is set for a happy ending, but it ended up having such an open ending. It’s like going out of a dark cave, but, since you’re used to the darkness, the light temporarily blinds you, so there’s a moment of uncertainty to how will this romance ends.
Of course this song is a 10/10!

one thing i will give credit to sm is that they do know how to give their music videos concepts like the music may be a hit or miss but the music video will always have a clear concept like with feel my rhythm or sticker, you have art mania and tech cowboys. this is something other companies fail at, specifically yg bc all of yg’s group concepts , sans winner( and i haven’t heard of anything they’ve done since really really), are we’re [group name] and thus everything they do becomes stale, most notably seen in blackpink. like shut down was literally them being we are blackpink but they do not have a clear signifier of their group without having to say their name a hundred different times over and over again. like with red velvet, they don’t even say their name or have a tag but bc a lot of their songs are experimental r&b it immediately lets me know this is red velvet, red velvet’s cute and creepy concept lets me know this music video belongs to red velvet.
