Confession: I hate Brynjolf. There is not a single npc in all of Skyrim I hate more than Brynjolf. Maybe Eltrys. And I hate both of them for the same reason: Forcing a long quest on me that I don't want to do that will sit forever in my journal until I've done it. I cannot walk freely around Riften or Markarth because of it and it annoys me so much. But Brynjolf is so much worse because he sticks around throughout the whole thieves guild quest and I just want him to leave.

Brynjolf's inability to commit is maddening. The worst part is that you understand exactly what led to him acting this way - losing Karliah and Gallus at such a young age, Mercer effectively ruining every positive moment they've shared, thinking that he's lost you. You can understand his aversion to committing himself to another person but the knowledge doesn't make it any easier to handle. "Must we put a label on it?" He groans, dragging your chair closer to his. He leans closer, lips only a few inches away - he knows exactly what he's doing. It's his most common maneuver - kiss you until you can hardly think, distracting you from anything deeper. "It's difficult to think with you so close." You breathe, attempting to resist his charm. "Aye, as you've said." "Don't you want more?" You ask, allowing his fingers to creep under your armor. "Why ruin a good thing?" His kiss is full of heat, a promise for more to come if you're willing to forget this conversation.

At first, Miraak's protectiveness was sweet. He accompanied you on missions far from home and fought at your side. Losing Mora's power had only caused him to become more focused on retaining the skills he had. Over time, it grew. You noticed him tagging along on shorter trips, soon finding that even a quick visit to a nearby village for supplies was a two person job. You'd faced dragons and giants, climbed High Hrothgar and aided in the resolution of a Civil War - yet it seemed you couldn't be trusted to walk a few miles from home. "I don't want to risk you, my love." He insists, falling into step at your side. "What if you were harmed? What if you're hurt and no one is there to aid you?" You don't like this almost childish way he seems to view you - once he'd doted on you, though now it almost seems as if he doesn't trust you to walk without some grievous injury befalling you. He's coddling you.

As an outsider, Vilkas had always appeared confident, headstrong, willing to tackle any problem. He's strong and intelligent and well spoken, of course he can handle things. As a partner, you've been surprised by his avoidance. When you were a recruit he had no trouble voicing your many faults, even as his Harbinger he's been critical - but not his partner. Those problems remain firmly within his own mind. You know he bottles them up, stewing on these emotions until he talks himself out of being upset, rationalizing everything. "If you don't tell me what it is you need, I cannot give it to you." You've pleaded with him, desperate to make this work. "I love you more than I can say - please, all I need is for you to talk to me." "There is nothing to talk about."

Farkas' recklessness had saved your ass on many occasions, but as his spouse it left you a nervous wreck. He'd often laugh off your worries before leaving for days, unable to communicate due to clearing out some bandit camp. His lack of self preservation reduced you to a mess of nerves, trying to work through it but unable to stop your eyes from wandering each time a door opened. "It's not a big deal." Farkas pouts, kneeling before you. His armor's all strapped into place and a pack of supplies hangs over one shoulder - he's about to leave again. Your heart kicks into overdrive, fingers shaking when they clasp the sides of his face. "I always come back safe, dear." He reminds you, that easy grin on his face. "Do you not trust me out there without you?" "I'd feel quite a bit better if I were at your side." You admit, staring pointedly at the sword slung across his back. "We do work well together." He agrees, a kiss planted on your cheek before he stands. "But you're the Harbinger, you have more important duties." Of course you did - your duties included paperwork and worrying, both of which were beginning to wear on your nerves.

You can't fault poor Cicero for his inexperience - he spent far too many years alone, no one but the Night Mother to keep him company. Isolation had changed him, left him lacking the knowledge many others took for granted. Of course you love him, you'd fallen head over heels for the fool and never looked back, but your relationship didn't come without it's own trials. He'd never learned the common things to do in a relationship; little things many couples did like dates were nonexistent and he had no clue how a normal relationship was paced. Falling for each other was easy, why hold back? Why not go all the way? It didn't help that his relationship with the other assassins was strained at best - some were friendly, others shut him out entirely. You were the only one he could turn to, the only one willing to share a meal and a laugh with your beloved Keeper. "Listener, will you teach poor Cicero how to love you?" He coos, gently combing the hair away from your face. Your first instinct is to refuse, to tell him that it's too much - but the peaceful smile melts your heart. "I want to love you the right way."

Often, you find yourself what Mercer likes more - being with you or keeping secrets from you. He omits things that don't even matter which only heightens your anxiety on the topic; if he's willing to lie about something as trivial as who went on what job or which client he's meeting with, what else could he be hiding from you? You tell yourself that it's nothing, just a survival trait he's picked up over the decades of leading the Thieves Guild, but it's impossible to ignore. He doesn't seem to enjoy the jealousy it incites within you but you can't quite puzzle out what he gets from it. In the end, it's easier to accept that he merely enjoys keeping secrets. Only the gods knew how long it had been since he'd last opened up to anyone and you were afraid that prying would make him snap shut the little window you've carved out in his heart.

T rated Skyrim fanfic! Just a cute little backstory fic for my first ever Skyrim character, Ma'scha the Khajiit thief! nothing but Found Family Shenanigans and accidental dad Brynjolf. Got a few more backstory fics for Ma'scha i've written, and more that i still want to write, but this one is still pretty fun to go back and read.

i've got Blood Moon on the brain again, and tbh this prompt fic was just so fun and sweet to write. Marco's such a fun character, i had a great time getting into his head, writing him cracking jokes, even if they're mostly to himself. i just think Marco and Vesper have such a cute relationship, tbh. M rated bc this is uuuuh post-sex lmao.

WELL ya had to know this one was coming. My most recent fic, and tbh i'm still kicking my feet and giggling over it. Started off as me going "i wanna write about a beefy man in lingerie" and then turn into 6k words of character study, hurt/comfort, trauma, and affirmation through putting a beefy man in lingerie. 2. Did they always like each other? Vyrth always liked Arnbjorn. It wasn't romantic interest at first but grew into a crush pretty quickly. Arnbjorn didn't always like her - he was fairly critical of her role as the Listener and thinking she didn't take her position seriously. It took time for him to warm up to her. Saryn and Bryn always liked each other yeah. They're just dumbasses who cannot communicate their feelings even if everyone else can tell they're into each other.

18. Who is the most likely to resolve outside conflicts first? Probably Brynjolf. It's been his role within the Guild to be the guy who fixes things for quite a while - resolving things with upset clients and paying off guards. Saryn's conflict resolution is either intimidation or absolutely ignoring it.

26. Are they able to competently work together? Vyrth and Arnbjorn work together within the Sanctuary but they could not go on a contract together. She would totally get distracted by him. She usually takes Cicero with her when she needs company - they share a braincell and know when to switch from sillytime to murder. But Saryn and Bryn work together much better than working with anyone else. They communicate best when it comes to a job. Since Brynjolf was her mentor she understands all of his mannerisms and he knows where her skills lie.

38. How quickly do they get over disagreements? I think they would move on fairly quickly. Bickering is a main part of how they flirt and they're both naturally blunt people. If there was a real, serious argument they'd both need space to think it over and dissect what was said. Neither of them are great at discussing feelings, feeling safest once it's time for bed and all the lights are out.

10. What deadly sin would best represent your OC?

Wrath probably. In the right scenarios (i.e. someone she loves is hurt or killed by someone else) she can be very vengeful. See the silver hand issue she was friendly enough with Skjor but him dying hurt Aela and this angered Severa deeply and was enough to set her off.

14. What foods does your OC like to eat? What are their least favorite foods?

If it’s well seasoned she’ll probably at least try it, but she’s big on soups and stews especially when she’s living in Skyrim. They’re warm and there is a lot you can do with them. Her favorite is beef stew. She does not like oyster/clam/most shellfish aside from not liking the taste, she is also allergic so that gets her out of eating them. She didn’t mind shrimp though but she’s not upset that she can’t eat it. She also doesn’t like liver/gizzards she doesn’t have problem with them though when she’s in her beast form so there’s that. Different palate I suppose.

29. If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?

Honestly, it’s not something she every really thinks about. She would likely leave it up to her family. When she does die though she is cremated and put in the family mausoleum and doesn’t have an epitaph on her placard, just her name and years lived.

32. If they could have one thing in the world, what would it be?

Just happiness and peace of mind for her and her family. She likes having nice things, expensive items, money, etc. but it’s not the one thing that she wants in life. As long as she and her family are safe and happy she has what she wanted.

43. What was the most offensive thing your character had ever said?

She had some choice words for Brynjolf went caught up with her in Riften and implied she had earned her coin dishonestly. She didn’t care for that much.

13. What is your OC’s gender / sexuality / race / species / etc.?

Cecilia is a cis woman and bisexual. She’s a human and an Imperial.

27. What kind of childhood did your character have?

She had a good childhood! Cecilia’s father is a wine maker and a very successful one at that. She was very privileged growing up. She grew up in Skingrad so she never had to worry about bandits and the like attacking the town. She wasn’t spoiled, her parents made sure she wasn’t, but she never to worry about clothes, food, money, etc. 

31. What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory?

The first time she had to kills someone in the legion. That really shook her. She had never grown about around anything like that. She figured her uncle was in the legion (drafted, not by choice) and her aunt and cousins were in the Fighter’s Guild so it couldn’t be that bad. She was wrong and started to regret joining very deeply after that. Even years after joining she hates it and wished she never would have. Her favorite memory is from when she  was younger her mother tried to teach her how to paint like she does. It didn’t go great and ended up in a mess but it’s a memory she always looks back on fondly,

44. How does your character react/ accept criticism?

She isn’t great at accepting criticism she tends to get defensive, especially when it’s coming from someone she isn’t close to. Criticism from Severa or Farkas for example = an alright reaction. Criticism from a higher up in the legion or one of her parent’s friends = bad reaction

48. What were their parents like? How has that affected how they are as an adult?

Her parents are good people! Her mother, Rhea, is Severa’s aunt so her mother’s older sister. She’s an exceptional artist and works by selling her paintings to collectors and what not. She also collects and sells herself so its a good source of income and she was able to get her foot in the door because of husbands connections. Cecilia’s father Julius, as mentioned before, owns a wine making business. They love their children very much and made sure they were happy and well taken care of growing up, but not spoiled and haughty. Cecilia grew up to be a good person because of this or she tries to be at least. She likes nice things because she grew up with nice things, but she doesn’t mind having less than she had growing up.

Welcome to my Elder Scrolls writing blog!

It's been many, many years since I've posted any writing online, and I've NEVER posted anything TES related before, so this is my attempt at getting back into the swing of things. So far I'm not quite sure what my limits are, so I'll try to accept every request possible (unless I realize that its out of my comfort zone) so long as it's TES related. So angst, fluff, smut are all okay with me. The only things I absolutely WILL NOT DO are:

Underage, as in either parties are younger than 18.

R*ape, unless it is specifically stated to be r*pe roleplay and has been consented to by both parties.

Bestiality, sorry monster fuckers.

I'll try my best to do a wide range of characters, though I tend to favor Miraak, Lucien LaChance, Sanguine, Martin Septim, Farkas and Brynjolf. Also, ESO fans beware as I have never played the game before and thus am not canny on many of the characters, but I'm still definitely willing to try!

Since its been almost ten years since I posted online I'm pretty much gonna be starting from scratch here, so I do ask that y'all are patient with me as I tend to be hypercritical of my work. Also constructive criticism and any tips y'all can offer would be much appreciated, just be gentle lol. Thanks for reading! :)
