I don’t understand why no one is watching Perry Mason (2020), 3 of the main characters are canonically queer (in modern terms Della is a lesbian, Hamilton Burger is gay and Perry Mason is probably bi). It’s got Chris Chalk in it, the production design is gorgeous, it’s got Eli from Boardwalk Empire in it, it’s set in 1930s LA and captures the era really well, Stephen Root is in it (although, let’s be honest, what isn’t he in?). Go watch Perry Mason.

Truman Capote: Why are you being nice to me? We're friends, I mean, but we're not close friends.
James Baldwin: [. . .] I've noticed that most minorities - Blacks (thank God!), Asians, women, Jewish folk - they all have a community to turn to in their time of need. The homosexual, not so much - not yet. [. . .] Today, Truman, I am going to be your community, because you need one. You are important to this country - your words and ideas.
Truman Capote: As are yours.
