i know this isnt the most profound, expertly edited thing ever, but i wanted to make something for power rangers' thirtieth anniversary, because this show means so much to me, so, i tried to make something emotional for it, showcasing all of the endings or at the very least heartfelt moments from each season, followed by quick flashes of every team morphing (so yes, flashing lights warning)

(elephant in the room: there's no turbo or ninja steel representation in terms of the endings i included, in the former's case, it ended on a cliffhanger that led right into in space, so i just included part of in space's ending instead, and for the latter, i couldn't find a clip of ninja steel's ending that wasn't just the entire final episode

hyperforce wasn't included because i genuinely forgot but know that i do respect it as a part of power rangers' history, and the 2017 movie wasn't included because i was pretty much only thinking of the shows while making this, so it hadn't crossed my mind to include it, but i *do* like the movie)

here's to thirty more morphenomenal years :)

You’re fav red list is odd. It’s like, on one hand you’re a Tommy fan so you’re not opposed to liking what’s popular. On the other hand you like a lot of reds the fandom dosent. Is this just you trying to be hipster or what’s the deal? Also why the zeo red hate? It’s Tommy’s best era after green.

I was going to write a longer response to this but I got so distracted by the idea that Zeo Tommy - ZEO TOMMY!!!!!!! - is above MMPR White and Dino Thunder Tommy that I can't keep my head on straight. Man Zeo Tommy is in fourth place of Tommy eras at MOST and even then I put Turbo Tommy above him because Turbo Tommy is funnier (and has better hair)

Random Thoughts With Me 2: Electric Boogaloo

Without school, I just sit here waiting for a response from the "I DEMAND AND NEED ANSWERS RIGHT NOW" post and do near nothing with the rest of the "httyd class as pokemon types" posts.

I had know idea what I was doing trying to redesign the Violet paradoxes besides Moth, Treads, and Thorns.

Serial Designation-B(adger) Quotes: "If I so much as breath on an organism, in Copper-9, it will end with a critical hit with enough power to overthrow a small government." "This worker drones are dumber than I am, and just a reminder, I have SUB-BRICK INTELLIGENCE." (They are literally going to die from their own stupidity, no Disassembly Drones required)

We know that Cyn's "Absolute Solver" form was animated like Glados, but is there a correlation. Glados hates birds because she was attacked by a crow. In episode 4, Uzi takes the form of a crow to help take Cyn down. Coincidence? I think maybe.

Speaking of Cyn, I have connected dots that shouldn't be there. Cyn's speaking pattern is similar to Dr. Letzshake's from No More Heros. They are both death machines who say their expressions out loud with monotones. Here is an example. *Letzshake just destroyed an untold amount of adversaries in one shot* "Visual sensors suggest carnage levels satisfactory. Who is my next victim. Question mark." *Player character appears* "Surprised gasp."

As a wee lad, I thought there was a connection between Blast Zone and the Gear Golems, especially Fire Gear Golem. I can't be the only one. They are both floating pieces of humanoid armor with their elements flowing though them and has masculine voices. They were also introduced in the same game.

Also as a wee lad, I had a red toy motorcycle that I loved. It looked like a dinosaur or dragon and it had a gun in its mouth, so I imagined it transforming like a transformer. More recently, I thought it was lost media, since I didn't see it anywhere else and the springs where the batteries go were missing, so I had no idea what it sounded like. A few days ago, I learned it was a motorcycle toy from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. I don't blame myself for not knowing. I grew up on Samurai, Mega Force, Super Mega Force, Dino Charge, and Super Sentai Go-onger.

Pretty Cure and Crossover Quest All-Stars lore for @geckosquid, @bergeronprocess, @mag1cal-b0y, @faith3231, @hiya-im-mary, and @sparkingspider

The whole of the Pretty Cure legacy prior to the Hirogaru Sky Cures and the Inaka Musume Cures have Ranger Keys in Earth-13’s continuity. Their creator and their intended purpose are a mystery, but the Super Mega Force Rangers and the Gokaigers have utilized them to great effect. The keys give suits in the colors of the cure they represent when a man uses them; this relieves Troy in particular because he doesn’t know how he feels about wearing a dress. The Pretty Cure keys are used predominantly by the aforementioned teams’ pink and yellow rangers, but the other rangers use them on occasion; one example of this is their use of the Kira Kira A La Mode Cures’ keys.

The Cures represented by the keys, on the other hand, are trying to find the meaning of their existence; Captain Marvelous encouraged the pursuit of that knowledge, as he believes that it’s a natural want.

General Ranger Headcanons

Ranger Teams are protective of their youngest members and their Reds. Sometimes, this does coincide, but for the most part, the youngest and the Red are separate people

Red Rangers generally have zero self-preservation instincts, either because of trauma or daredevil personalities

Blue Rangers can be the 'tech wiz', but generally, they're just extremely intelligent

Rangers all have a pretty solid relationship with gender and pronouns. Mostly because they see and fight aliens literally every day and have decided they have Bigger Things to worry about

Reds, Yellows, and Blues are usually always there on the Ranger teams, so it's common for them to be close

Rangers have a list that they pass down to the younger teams. This list details little things like how to help give each other strength to what pain medications can help the aches and pains go away fastest, because yes the suits take most of the blows, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt later

Some Rangers have PTSD, some have anxiety, some have depression. There are, in fact, numbers of former-Ranger therapists that the Rangers all know by heart

Teams don't really drift apart, they stick together because who else is gonna understand what it's like to witness the people you hang around daily almost die every other week?

Rangers drift toward other Rangers. It's due to the Morphin' Grid power they've been imbued with and the Morphin' Grid's pull to itself

There's a point in every Ranger's fight that shift-sleeping becomes the norm amongst teams. It's to stop nightmares, but also because of the paranoia that strikes when you're in fight or flight mode too long

Rangers from space or space-adjacent stick together

Rangers in general stick together, always. Where one Ranger is, another is typically not far behind. Some teams go so far as to get houses together, others just in the same neighborhood or town. Never far from each other, and never away for too long

The Power will never, can never abandon its chosen people. Once it makes its choices, it will not deviate. It doesn't stop looking out for its chosen ones either. Once you've bonded to the Morphin' Grid, you're stuck for life, regardless of being active or not

In Universe, people write fanfiction about the Rangers. Yes, they read it, sometimes they even like it. (Megaforce and down in particular find it hilarious)

The scone the Rangers find out about their Super Sentai counterpart shows, it's on. Some find them hilarious, some find them uncomfortable, but it's all in good fun for all of them

A list of common triggers is passed around to the Ranger teams, including but not limited to: loud noises, bugs, fog, robotic voices/static

Some of the Rangers (especially those who've been fighting for years) get therapy animals

Rangers have problems connecting to people who aren't Rangers or don't know about Rangers. Similar to military or police or doctors, Rangers are never truly off unless they're inactive and even then, it's a roll of the dice as to if they'll be pulled back in. Most of them have been doing this since they were teens, so they never truly got a chance. Preston Tien, Ninja Steel Blue, once described the experience as "playing with a half-deck whilst the other decks are rigged against you" and most of the other Rangers agreed

Every Ranger knows the pain of Nightmares, which is a big part of the reason shift-sleeping became so common amongst teams. Sleeping disorders are also common, which is not easy for the Rangers to deal with. When you're trained from a young age to be fighters and saviors of the planet, you don't walk away without trauma

Rangers who've gone Evil (or started Evil) and come back to the side of Good have each other's direct lines, Tommy Oliver, Karone, Trent Fernandez-Mercer, etc, all of them share a similar fear of suddenly turning evil again

Rangers do not like Zordon for his express need to put teenagers into a war that isn't even their's

It's been a whole Super Mega Decade, yall! 10 years to the day since Super Megaforce premiered. I'm releasing the last of the stylized Ranger portraits I shot with Ciara Hanna last year to celebrate. And before you point out that's technically not the Super Mega helmet, I know. That's just the one we had available that day. The inspiration for this one is obviously the iconic Boom Studios Ranger helmet comic covers. It was fun recreating the look of those in live action. I'm gonna have to think up more stylized photo ideas, these are way too fun to photograph and edit!

Here we come up to the Wes/Jen/Eric dynamic, aka both a raging dumpster fire of oblivious dumbasses and also one of the most competent triads/pairings in the entire series. They are canonically running the Silver Guardians and the Power Rangers and kicking all kinds of ass while also being complete idiots when it comes to their emotions. I have such a soft spot for all of the Time Force Rangers as it's one of the few series I watched at the right age (it was this, Samurai, and Megaforce but I did not like Megaforce at the time so really only Samurai and Time Force get the strength of true eleven-year-old-me nostalgia). Okay hear me out guys here's my absolute crackhead fanfic idea but what if Troy went on became the PR equivalent of Twokaizer (Super Megaforce Gold, maybe?)

Troy was intended to have a weird "chosen one" plotline which...isn't really THAT great of a plotline, but considering his connection to the Morphin Grid was supposed to be pretty significant, maybe in the future he probably goes around freelancing and dimension hopping whenever he's needed (probably something best saved for a 35th anniversary).

Megaforce's ending was kind of open ended so we aren't really sure what happened to the Megaforce gang (asides from the fact Gia regularly appears, but only ever really uses the regular Megaforce mode and never has the need to go Super, nothing really HAPPENED to that mode as far as I know)

I'm still trying to work out the kinks, all I have rn is that Gosei'd have something to do with it (possibly getting Zordon'd?), and maybe Troy's curious little ass tries to investigate those "ranger teams never before seen"...

Certainly makes a Megaforce reunion a little awkward, though...
