People be like "Russia is not imperialistic"🤡 - and then the most famous Ukrainian chef cannot open a restaurant of the most famous Ukrainian cultural food in Japan, because Japanese widely consider borscht a Russian dish and so would avoid the restaurant thinking it to be Russian🫤🫤🫤🤯🤯🤯

Let me put it absolutely clear. Helping Israel by hitting Iran missiles and drones in the air area of third countries (of the THIRD COUNTRIES) isn't an escalation. But hitting russian missiles and (Iranian, btw) drones in the Ukraine air area to save Ukrainian lives is suddenly an escalation. Don't tell me you really care for Ukraine and stand with Ukraine and etc, US politics. Because you don't.

I am not going to talk about "low morale" because I really don't care, but the tags are extremely wrong.
Source: I spent the last two years in a city in 45 kilometres away from the frontlines (Zaporizhzhia). Air strikes and air defense sound different. While I can't say for sure that there was no time Ukrainian air defense misfired into a residential building ever anywhere, I can guarantee that the most notorious destructions of residential buildings here were all air strikes.
This is what I am direct witness of, but what I saw from destruction of Kharkiw doesn't resemble air defense misfire either. I didn't pay close attention to other cities, but I can believe in situation there being the same.

What I've been asking for a while now!! You all love watching animes and reading and watching stuff with such themes but can't seem to understand it now that it's really happening.
Given how obsessed western media and Israel were with the "bUt h@m@s" narrative this time, it makes it plenty obvious that ham@s is no longer the t€rr0r1st body that Israel once empowered and enabled it to be. It's just people/freedom fighters wanting their land back after they've experienced decades of similar barbarity it appears.
And how anyone thinks Palestinian people will come out of the current massacre, mass murder and cruelty all chill and cool is beyond me. Do you seriously expect they won't want to avenge their loved ones after the stuff Israel did to their families??? The school year in Gaza had to be ended because all kids were DEAD. Entireeee family lines have been wiped out. Their hospitals, refugee camps, bakeries, schools everything has been turned to dust. Their internet and phones were cut off while aid was refused entry and all of this is stuff you can read without crying, and feeling sick I haven't listed the stomach turning shit yet.
Oh btw are you all still seriously believing that Israel is out there doing you a favour by t@rgEt1ng h@m@s? They're just killing and slaughtering and destroying so they can expand their colonized land later (this has been said by Israeli politicians and people). Also, they don't care about hostages from their country so before demanding their release from h@mas, talk to Israel.
And what happens when they're done getting rid of h@m@s which I know they're not doing that but still? Palestinians will thank them and carry on with their lives? What have you all been encouraging and celebrating Ukrainians for? Why doesn't that same logic apply here? You don't expect one ounce self-defence from Palestine later??? After alllll that was done?? Get your brain checked.

So let's talk about Ukraine vs Palestine. While generally I hate when people bring it up, cuz I lost people in the Ukraine war and I lost my home, I STILL GET IT. Fuck, I really do. The glaring and blatant racism that exists even in the humanitarian sector is CRAZY. I work in humanitarian aid, and in case you didn't know, the humanitarian sector has 4 humanitarian principles that everyone in the sector has to adhere to, one of them being NEUTRALITY.
Well, wouldn't you know, one of humanitarian organizations I had the displeasure of working with has signed an open letter that dismissed the notion of being neutral in the Ukrainian war. They signed a letter that urged people to stop being neutral on the issue. And when this was brought up to higher ups (not some no name local organization, but an INTERNATIONAL COMPANY), they said IT'S FINE. It's their choice to not be neutral and we have to respect that.
Which is fucking crazy, because imagine if something like this was discussed in literally any other context? Like right now, Palestinian speakers are getting invited on TV only for the interviewer to jump on the person that was grieving just a moment ago about their lost family, asking if they condone Hamas. Holy shit, isn't it fucking crazy?
Ukrainians had a big platform to advocate for their cause, they had loud voices tell it as it was instead of what the propaganda said. That's just true. A lot of Ukrainians are proud of that. It's only possible because, YES UKRAINIANS (mostly) ARE WHITE. Geopolitically there's more to that but that's not the point of the post at all. The blue eyed blonde Ukrainian stereotype isn't true in reality but it's true in minds of westerners. And that's really all that matters to them.
Are Palestinians asked the same questions Ukrainians were? Why not? What is the difference? Ask yourself that question, and know that the right answer is that Ukrainians are (mostly) white and more palpable for the western audiences.
Anyway, I urge all Ukrainians to actually read about this issue from Palestinians, stop falling for stupid propaganda, stop trying to whitewash Israel as well. Same goes to every Ukraine sympathiser. And before anyone comes here and tells me I don't know anything about Ukrainian situation and war... I work in a humanitarian field in crisis analytics and data analysis, I am Ukrainian, I am from Donbas, I lost relatives and friends in the war and my home, so maybe I even know more than some of y'all.

Ur Ukrainian!!! Omg, are u making perogis for Christmas too?? If so, which ones are u making?
no i don’t celebrate orthodox christmas. my moms side of the family is very ukrainian (my great aunt and grandpa immigrated to the us after ww2 and my other grandma was born here at the beginning of ww2 to a ukrainian ambassador) and my great aunt does the whole traditional christmas eve dinner so that’s what we celebrate.
tho it’s not like all the dishes, she’s scaled it down over the years so we do the borscht with ushka, fried flounder, baked salmon with dill sauce, holupchi (sorry for the spelling) with mushroom sauce, regular potato pierogis and sauerkraut pierogis and a fuck ton of dessert. but there used to be i think like 2 more fish dishes.
my earliest memory is actually spitting out an ushka when i was 2 on christmas eve and my uncle making the most outraged face at me from across the table. baby saph didn’t like mushrooms aparently.
but merry christmas!! i’ll eat some of my pierogis on orthodox christmas in honor of all my fellow ukrainians out there :) if i can fucking make dough that cooperates

Talking a little bit about 'boycotting Eurovision' under Keep Reading, feel free to scroll down if is not what you want to see.
The most used argument on the matter of banning Israel from Eurovision is the fact that Russia got banned from Eurovision, which is the worst argument anyone could bring.
Kindly reminder that Russia didn't get banned because of the war with Ukraine. Russia got banned because many countries has threatened to withdraw from the competition. Sadly, that's a big difference.
Yes, the countries has threatened to withdraw because they support Ukraine and see Russia as the party in the wrong. That was their reason. EBU's reason for banning Russian was because those countries threatened to withdraw, not because the war was bad and Russia must be stopped.
This situation isn't the same. Why? Because many countries support Israel in their genocide. Because this time around Palestine is the party in the wrong. Because we're taught to believe that Israel isn't in the wrong here.**
Boycotting Eurovision won't work. There are people out there who don't know the truth and want to watch Eurovision. There are people out there who don't care and will watch Eurovision regardless of the situation. There are people out there who, despite having the facts, still don't see Israel as the bad guy in this situation and will watch Eurovision. Sadly, boycotting won't work unless everyone does it.
The only way Israel will get banned, in my opinion, is by going through the same thing as Russia. If other countries threatened to withdraw- and not any countries, but the ones investing the most in Eurovision, then yes. That will get Israel banned.
Otherwise? The only thing we do is hurt artists that don't deserve it. Artists who use Eurovision as a way to get more exposure and experience. Artists who deserve to be heard.
Don't vote for Israel's entry. Don't stream their song either. Heck, turn off the TV when is their turn to perform.
**This whole situation (the war, not Eurovision) isn't only black and white. Civilians die daily because of this, all of them from both sides. Innocent people who has no fault. Let's not forget that

I think I have only seen western fans being a little obsessed by their fave celeb's morality. Yes, entertainers hold a lot of power but, they could so very easily abuse it? They could post the most uninformed take and imagine the impact of it. Do you know how much a celeb has actually researched to speak about any international topic or national topic for that matter? And are there no other artists that are talking about it? If your own morality and ethics are dependent on a celeb's insta post then I think you should start supporting celebs who make those posts because honestly there a lot of them and they are facing repercussions of speaking up. Why don't you support them? Why do you need to wait for a celeb to speak up for you to call your local representative or educating your fellow friends on the same? Why aren't you checking which representative is supporting this genocide and which are speaking against it?
