You know one fucking merc I think is the most underrated in the tf2 fandom? Demo
For some damn reason, we as a society have let Demo in the backburner? Come ON PEOPLE!
He may be a drunk scottish cyclops, but he is a sweet and hardworking scottish cyclops! Have you seen how much this man works? He makes 5 million dollars a year. Hes able to get the job done even if he drinks himself beyond repair. He doesnt seem violent (not counting the battlefield lmaoo) towards his friends or mom. He loves his mother very much. HE BECAME FRIENDS WITH THE BLU SOLDIER! You know this man is so chill and would treat you right, and if thats not enough to convince you;
Remember he has multiple jobs. Hes probably the merc that would make me laugh the most, he would help me up when Im feeling down I LOVE HIM UGH I LOVE YOU TAVISH

This post is part of a series I’m going to call ‘Why I Love Stray Kids’. Each post is going to be dedicated to a different member and is just going to be ramblings of things I love about them, because I just really love making lists and sometimes, I get bored.
Previous Posts: I.N. | Seungmin | Felix | Han | Hyunjin | Changbin | Lee Know
This post is about Bang Chan/Christopher Bang!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Songs I Personally Love Him In:
Red Lights; Ex; Maniac; Waiting For Us; Chronosaurus; Don’t Want to Admit; For You; Thunderous; Scars (Either Version); Mixtape: Oh
Music Videos I Love Him In:
Hellevator; Awkward Silence; Maniac; Back Door; Red Lights; Miroh; Easy; Victory Song; Thunderous; Scars
10 Random Things I Love:
Every single time they show this man looking fondly at his members, I want to cry. He loves them so much, they are his family, and to see how much he cares makes me yearn for things, and I simply do not do that.
The fact that he has openly stated that the members saved him on multiple occasions. I’m so happy for him, that he was able to find this family, these other boys, to bond with, to debut with. I imagine he gets lonely being so far from home for so long, so to have that support system is so important, especially if you struggle with mental health issues, which I believe Chan has stated he has.
How hard he works. He actually stresses me out with it, more often than not, when everyone makes jokes about him not sleeping, but at the same time, his determination to be amazing is admirable. He spent 7 years as a trainee and he’s not going to stop now.
Everything about Chan’s Room. The idea behind it. How he insists on doing it regularly, for the fans. How he makes song recommendations in it, or listens to their own music, or even reacts to their stuff. How he makes jokes. How he listens to the fans and tells them he is there for them. The fact that he takes that time out of, what I’m sure, is his very busy schedule to do that every week is sweet.
How big his heart is. This goes a bit hand and hand with the ones above, but this man clearly has a lot of love to give, and he gives it openly. He not only loves his members a lot, but it’s also in the way he is there for the fans.
How much of a dork he is. He is just unashamedly a dork, and I love that. I love people who are just like, hey, I’m kind of weird, but oh well, lmao. It doesn’t feel like he’s trying to be something different or something cool, he’s just himself, for the most part.
His singing voice. From a technical standpoint, I’m sure Chan isn’t considered the best singer of the group. But it’s not always about who is technically better for me. It’s whoever sticks with me. And Chan’s voice sticks with me. It’s not overly powerful, but it still makes me emotional. This man has a beautiful singing voice. (On a side note, is he the best dance in the group? No. But I love his dancing. I implied once that him, Lee Know, and Changbin during the ‘Maniac’ dance were my favorite, and I stand by that.)
His laugh. Chan is another one that makes me think he’d be the kind of friend you’d laugh so hard with, you’d start crying and be laughing for hours. You can see it in the one clip with 3racha from Chan’s room. But there are tons of clips of him just laughing a lot, and I love it.
How smart he is. It’s not a quality I see stated a lot. I mean, I know 3racha is referred to as geniuses from time to time (mainly Han, but I’ve seen people refer to each member at least once). But I feel like how smart Chan has to be to do what he does, the way he does it, and keep turning out hit after hit. Smart and creative.
Okay, this point is going to be a little different, I just want to randomly gush about him. I’ve been a fan for only a couple months. I got into Stray Kids on April 1. I’ve stated before that the first person I noticed was Han, because the first thing I saw was the ‘Maniac’ music video. But the first person that stuck with me, the one that made me start to love this group, was Chan. He has a presence. And I don’t mean that ‘6 foot tall’ energy he exudes when he walks. I mean, he was interesting to me. I was like, I want to know more about this guy. (It was the exact opposite feeling I had with Minho.) And I’m grateful to him for that. I’m so fond of this man. I am aware that this is a purely parasocial relationship, lmao. I expect nothing from him. I simply want him to be happy, I want to continue to enjoy what him and this group can put out. Even if I post about other members more, at the end of the day, Bang Chan is my actual favorite.
Let Me Be Superficial For A Moment: Like the rest of them, this is hard. But I’m going to go with his smile, and the way it lights up his face. Seeing Chan smile is such a wonderful thing.
Tumblr media
Two Dynamics Of His That I’m Fond Of: Felix and Jeongin. This one was hard. Almost all of them were, to some extent, but I struggled with this one. Much like Jeongin, I love all of Chan’s dynamics equally, so picking just two was difficult.

I convinced my mom to try the live action One Piece, because she's the type to like this style of show even though she isn't into animation and would never read manga, but I didn't think I'd be able to convince my dad because he's usually a stickler for more grounded and realistic stories (his favourite genre is war movies, his favourite movie is Saving Private Ryan, for reference). But, when I brought up with him how I figured it probably wouldn't be his thing because it was fantasy, he mentioned to me that he does enjoy some fantastical stuff if it has like an internal universe logic, like Star Wars, and the more I thought about it, the more I remembered that he also enjoys campy fun action adventure stuff that doesn't take itself too seriously like Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Carribean.
And One Piece has both that internal logic for why people can perform crazy feats (even if it isn't explained right away) which I mentioned to him (just that there is a reason why people can do crazy things in this world), as well as the campy fun action adventure thing going for it, especially in the Live Action (the fight against Morgan's base even has a major Indiana Jones vibes ngl). So I explained that to him and asked if he wanted to try it, and he agreed to watching the first episode with me to decide if he'd watch it with my mom and me.
AND HE ACTUALLY SAID IT WAS INTERESTING SO FAR!! Like, he is NOT the kinda guy to enjoy anime or manga or even western cartoons, always refuses to watch anything anime and doesn't show any interest when I talk about it (I've managed to convince him to watch a few movies like Sword of the Stranger but it's obvious that even when he's not bored or doesn't hate it, it still doesn't catch or keep his interest), and he's really picky about anything fantasy or SciFi, if it like sets off his bullshit meter too much he starts nitpicking the logic behind certain abilities, or decisions, or explanations, etc. I once tried to get him to try Gravity Falls and he wanted to stop after the first episode. He's THAT picky.
So the fact that he actually laughed several times while watching the first episode of OPLA with me, commented about Luffy's character positively several times (he seems to think Luffy is really funny which surprised me cause I thought he'd be the most entertained by Zoro but I mean I can't blame him it is Luffy after all), never cringed or criticised or said anything about how ridiculous it was, means a lot coming from him cause he's always really blunt and honest about his opinion on this sort of stuff (which is fine I don't want him to pretend to enjoy stuff when he doesn't). He actually watched the whole first episode without it losing his attention, and seemed to have fun! And he agreed to watch the rest with my mom and me!
This sort of thing is one of the reasons why I dislike when people just dismiss the idea of live action adaptations entirely. I get that people are jaded with past failures, and don't like when live action is treated like a replacement for or improvement from animation when it isn't. But it is a valid medium just as much as animation or comics or writing are, and can be used to produce some amazing things. And the fact is, there are people who have a hard time connecting with other mediums who will otherwise never engage with this media in its original forms. Live Action, when done well and done right, can reach new audiences and welcome them into the fold in ways the original formats never can.
One Piece didn't need the live action to be popular, obviously, and the live action cannot and will not replace the original, nor should it. But I love that we get to have it alongside the manga and anime. It's just more of what we love, it's the cherry on top of an already stellar multi-layered cake. It complements the original rather than taking anything away from it. And for the first time in over a decade I might be able to share One Piece with my parents, who would only ever have a chance of experiencing it and enjoying it in live action. There's just something so awesome about that for me personally. I just wish more live action adaptations would understand what the One Piece live action understood about the adaptation process, and that's how to keep the heart of the story in-tact, so more people from more fandoms could have a chance to share something they love with more people who it would otherwise not reach.
Anyway, thank you Oda and the OPLA cast and crew for doing live action right for once!

C!Dream slowly healing after prison, but being so terrified of having a romantic relationship. He wants one- he craves that feeling of being loved and cared for again but he’s also scared that he doesn’t deserve it. So he needs someone to slowly help him, to slowly understand and protect him. To make him feel like he deserves to have that amount of affection and love again.
He freaks out when people do give it to him, he lashes out he breaks down because he doesn’t trust a simple touch, a simple friendly compliment or even a loving smile. He’s been broken so much that he doesn’t know if what they’re giving him is the truth.
He just needs that reassurance and love, but also someone who is patient. Someone who is understanding.
Someone who can accept him for his claws and sharp teeth when he does accidentally strike.

Hey @enigmatist17 your clone tier list is great!
Rank Tier Reasoning:
S+ - Impactful (These characters' appearances/story arc live rent free in my brain and I cannot get enough of them)
S - Underutilized Potential (These characters could have their own show and rise to S+ specifically on their own strengths if people actually gave them the chance)
A - Interesting Concept (There's something to these characters that could be further explored in many interesting ways)
B - Could Be Built Upon/Needed More Screen-time (I don't feel a particular connection to these characters due to how quickly they came and went but there's potential there too)
C - There's Something There/Needs More Work (These characters mean very little to me but I acknowledge they can either grow or have grown writing-wise)
D - Unchanging Characterization/Poorly Written 'Cool Guy' (Has literally experienced no character growth and runs on one singular trait that is better written in other characters, and has remained detestable in my books even if they are a fandom favourite)

sometimes you just wanna gush about your favorite artist and let them know everything you adore about their art
sometimes your favorite artist is your best friend, and now they have no choice but to know about all the good things their art does and how much you adore it
thats me with Doody btw. Ill always remind them how they are my favorite artist and wont believe me.
But thats the truth, and I think more people should shower their favorite artist in compliments to remind them that YES!!! theres people out there who go insane with their art, even small little sketches, that you pay attention to every detail in their work! Even if its incredibly unnoticeable, it shows an artist how much you care for their craft and makes them feel like their work has been appreciated.
Cuz yeah, you can support and artist with all the likes and RBs in the world (please do) but also, replying to the art, commenting things that you love about it, means SOOO much more, even just a simple key word smash bc you just love it so much you cant put it in to words makes a difference.
Show your favorite artist love, they deserve it

Alright friends, I have seen many wonderful posts about Tinn’s mom, but I can’t sleep so I’m writing one of my own. I have many thoughts and feelings about her because I ADORE her.
There are so many things to talk about regarding her relationship with Tinn and her journey on how to accept and best support him BUT I’m not gonna talk about that. I’m barely going to mention Tinn. I need to talk about this because I haven’t seen it mentioned yet: she is damn good at her job. I love that we had a misdirect at the beginning of the show from Gun’s perspective that she would be an antagonist that’s out to get the music club. Then we shifted to Tinn’s POV and we got to see that she isn’t out to get anyone. She’s a high school principal just trying to make sure her school keeps on running. We don’t know the exact details of what scuffle the music club got into the previous year. But as the principal, it makes sense that she is making tough choices. Clubs that cause problems that result in damages that need to be paid during a time where she has to tighten the budget? It makes sense that she would consider disbanding the music club. Tinn and Gun’s worldview is smaller because they are students at the high school. They can’t see the whole picture that Tinn’s mother sees and has to see in order to keep the school running. Does she make things more difficult for the music club? Absolutely she does, but not because she wants to. It’s literally her job. She needs to make sure the rest of the school can still function.
She also never stops the music club from trying. In fact, I’d say she encourages it, even though they might not realize it. She signs off on letting them compete but only once they’ve improved their grades. It feels unfair and impossible to the band but it is completely reasonable. “Keep up your schoolwork and your academics and you’ll be allowed to participate in this extracurricular activity with the school’s blessing.” That was a rule at my high school. It isn’t her job to just give students what they want willy nilly. It’s her job to make sure the students are set up for success in the future. Once their grades improve, she signs off on it. She might be skeptical and it might not be her thing, but never once does she stop a student from exploring their own interests.
Then we get to the homophobic teacher. She listens to his story while he demands punishment. She asks Tinn if what he said is correct. And she’s asking him because he’s involved, because he’s her son, but also because he’s the school president. Tinn has proven he is responsible and she takes that into consideration. She looks at the situation as a whole. She wants to make sure she hears both sides of the story. So many principals of people in authority will take the teacher’s side and not once ask for the student’s side of the story. But she is fair and she sees her students as people who deserve to be heard. And that entire scene I wasn’t worried about Kajorn’s punishment because I knew she would be fair because she is good at her job. Kajorn needed to be disciplined for using violence, but not for standing up to the homophobic teacher. And she punished accordingly. Then she moved on to tell the teacher what she would do regarding his role in the situation. She was being pressured by the other teacher’s regarding Tinn’s sexuality but she remained professional the entire time and did her job to support her students. And at the prom, standing right next to two of the homophobic teachers, who I’m sure texted her, she loudly told the students to cheer for Tinn and Gun.
She is doing everything in her power to make that school a safe place for students even if that means she has to face backlash. She does that because it’s her job. It’s not her job to judge students. It’s not her job to make life more difficult for students. It is her job to make sure each and every student in that school has the best chance for success when they eventually leave.

Ah, the glorious future.
--
‘I mean the Watch did nothing, and that’s what hurt them,’ said Vimes.
‘What could you do, then? Arrest Winder?’
Vimes felt he was building a bridge of matchsticks over a yawning abyss, and now he could feel the chilly winds below him. He’d arrested Vetinari, back in the future. Admittedly the man had walked free, after what passed for the due process of law, but the City Watch had bee— was going to be big enough and strong enough and well-connected enough to actually arrest the ruler of the city. How had they ever got to that stage? How had he even dreamed that a bunch of coppers could slam the cell door on the boss?
You know how the Watch got to that stage, Sam. Thanks to the bloody Vetinari.
He even told you to do your duty, hey? And then elegantly proceeded to troll you about shackles and hurdles, because it wouldn't be Havelock Vetinari if he didn't troll people. :-)
And of course he knew he would walk free, but that's another story. Also, he did nothing wrong, since he actually stopped a war.
Best tyrant ever. :-)

He had stared at the sheet. Is this really what I think it is? It deserved an entry in his diary anyway, Emmett had decided, and pulled out his notebook. He had dipped his fountain pen in the ink bucket next to it and put the nib on the paper. November 5, 1955 How was he supposed to put this story into words? He had finally decided to simply tell the truth. When he had finished his entry, he had taken another look at his rather sloppy sketch. Time travel...
hi guys! i wrote a character study for doc because he's a fascinating character (and because i love his lore) :]
