If I Should Stay

On the 15th, as promised! Ngl, I definitely almost forgot this. I have SO many feelings about this one, y’all check the tags if you want my ramblings. Buckle up. Also, happy stabbing Caesar day.

Steve works his jaw, staring at Will. “Yeah,” he whispers. Will looks down. “Hey,” Steve says gently. “That’s not on you, okay? And Jonathan’s a really great guy. He and Nancy both had a lapse in judgement. They got together a while later and they were better for each other than she and I ever were.”

“But they hurt you.”

Steve chuckles. “In the moment, sure. But I’m fine now, I’ve moved on. It surprised me just now because I didn’t expect her to react like that. I know that’s not who she is as a person, and I’m sure as soon as Joyce talks to her about it and she’s had some time to think about it, she’ll come apologize. But none of that is on you, okay?”

Will shrugs, playing with the hem of his pants.

Steve glances at Eddie, who winks and plops down cross-legged next to Will, nudging their shoulders together. “My dad’s in jail.” Will looks up at him, surprised. Eddie shrugs. “I’ve had time to process, but it took me a while to realize he just isn’t a good person. Now, my momma was an angel among women, she just had a disease. It didn’t make her a bad person. But they’re my parents, so that must mean I’m a bad person with a disease, right?”

“No!” Will says emphatically. “Just because they-” he pauses, mouth a perfect circle, before flushing and ducking his head, smiling a little. “Okay. I get it.”

“Good kid,” Eddie says fondly, ruffling his hair. “Now, back to the planning?”

“Probably,” Steve nodded. “First things first, who wants out?”

“Papa hurt El?” Mike asks. Steve nods. “Then let’s kill this fucker.”

“Language,” say all the adults, and Mike rolls his eyes.

“I’m in,” Will adds.

“Me too,” Dustin says, and Lucas nods.

Steve looks around, and all the adults present nod at him. Robin squeezes his hand, and Alli pulls him closer to her by his shoulders. “Alright, little brother,” she says. He elbows her. “What’s the plan?”

Steve sighs and looks to El. “What do you think, Ellie?”

“Everyone else is dead,” she murmurs. “But if I go into the rainbow room, I will see them.”

Steve’s heart breaks. “You don’t have to go anywhere you don’t want to.”

She smiles sadly at him. “You cannot promise me that, Steve.”

He meets Robin’s eyes above El’s head, watches her heart break. “Watch me.” He looks back to El. “I know what he put you through, El.”

“He loves me.”

Steve takes a breath, shuts his eyes for a moment. “Remember what I told you, last time you said that?”

El nods. “You thought the same thing about your parents.”

“Exactly. It took me a long time to learn, but they don’t love me. And there’s nothing I can do to change that. Even if I was perfect, that wouldn’t be enough for them. Does that make sense?”

She nods. “You love me differently from how Papa loves me.”

“Yeah,” Steve whispers. “Which do you like better?”

“Yours.”

“Do you know why?”

She thinks about it for a minute. “You love me because you see Ellie. He loves me because he sees Eleven.”

Next to him, Alli makes a broken sound. Steve reaches back to hold her hand. “Yeah, Ellie. That’s exactly right.”

“I do not want to only be Eleven anymore,” she decides. “I want to be Ellie.”

“And that’s why I’ll do all of it myself if I have to,” Steve tells her. “So you can be Ellie. You don’t have to go in the rainbow room, okay?”

“Okay,” she nods, wiggling around until she can bury her face in his neck and whisper, “I trust you.”

He blinks quickly. “I’m glad,” he whispers back.

“Ellie,” Wayne says, voice not much steadier than Steve’s. She shifts to look at him from where she’s tucked into Steve. “We all want you t’be just Ellie if you want it. We’re all gonna be right there with you.”

“Thank you,” she says quietly. “Steve?”

“Yeah?”

“I won’t be strong enough. If I see Papa.”

“That won’t be a problem,” Hopper says, checking his gun. She shifts to look at him. “He’s not going to hurt you again.”

She frowns and buries her face back in Steve’s neck. “I’m happy,” she murmurs. “But I’m also very sad.”

Steve sighs and hugs her tightly. “I know how you feel.”

“I don’t like feeling this way.”

“I know, El. I don’t think there’s really any way to get rid of the feeling, though.”

“Just life,” Alli says quietly, scooting closer and laying a comforting hand on El’s upper arm. “I know it’s a cliché, but it’s true.”

El looks up at Alli. “Okay. What’s a cliché?”

Alli meets Steve’s eyes, a smile starting to spread, and Steve thinks everything’s going to be okay.

dear everyone,

a while ago, i hit 1.5k followers on this blog.... i didn't want to get too sappy but i really wanted to write something, so:

the fact that over one and a half thousand individuals follow me is truly insane and too much for my little brain to grasp. i want you to know that i'm so extremely thankful for each and every single one of you and this makes me so so so happy. this is way more than i ever had expected when creating this blog.

i made this account back in june purely for my own enjoyment; i created it mainly because i was disappointed in myself for having stopped writing, since writing has been such a big part of my life since forever. ever since i stopped writing about kpop, i had barely written anything at all... i made this account just for fun with no pressure and no expectations, and before i knew it, this blog turned into something so special for me. the blog, all of the people i've met through it and all of the moments we've shared, all mean the world to me.

honestly, i'm not sure what i would do right now if i didn't have this blog and this community. these last few months have been pretty rough for me, but i've always been able to come back on here and gain a smile or some laughter. you've all helped me so much, even if unintentionally – every single interaction helps me push forward. i'm eternally grateful for every single like, comment, reblog and ask i've received on here, and your kind words really do mean the world to me. i don't know where i would be without you.

i hit 1k a while ago but didn't celebrate it properly, so i decided to make an 1k/1.5k-celly that i will be releasing soon (when i have more time to actually write)(hopefully at the start of december). please stay tuned!

Leander Prewett SFW Alphabet

I got inspired to do a SFW Alphabet for Leander after @imagrindylow made her NSFW one, please go read it. Seriously. Go. I have also made a separate little headcanon list for him here, thanks to @applinsandoranges asking me for them. Warnings: Death Mention

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) He is not one for PDA, at all. The closest thing you’ll get to him touching you in public is a hand at the small of your back when he helps you through a door. His love languages are acts of service, quality time & gifting. He is chivalrous and honorable. In school, He will never let you carry your own books, or miss a single quidditch match. If he’s not playing he’s in the stands cheering for you. He’ll be your biggest supporter in everything you do. If you need to study, he’s there with flash cards. Struggling with an assignment? He’ll hole himself up in the library right by your side helping both of you to understand. In private, when it’s just the two of you he loves to just have you close to him. Leaning on him, cuddling close. He just wants to feel you there even if you’re both doing your own thing. Oh and he loves to play with your hair, wrapping the long strands around his fingers, playing with the ends while he’s lost in a book or studying.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) Loyal. And unwaveringly supportive of everything his friends aspire to be. His friendships start with shared interests and values, which is why his close knit group of friends tend to be from his own house at Hogwarts or the Summoners Court club.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) He loves a good cuddle, to be close to you. And he has few preferences to what that should be, just letting you manipulate his body to how you want to he held. The only preference he has really is to be the one holding you.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) He wants to settle down, ASAP. And he’s always been a very neat person, a habit that was drilled into him since he could walk. Messes make him anxious and jittery, so he’s very clean and good at keeping things that way. As for cooking, he can manage himself and whip up a decent dinner. But he’s not one for experimenting or going outside of his comfort zone, sticking to the tried and true recipes he grew up with, and that he can’t wait to share with you. The highlight of his days would be the two of you cooking together.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) He’s not one to give up easy, with how seriously he takes his relationships. He believes nearly anything can be overcome with healthy communication and hard work. However, if there’s a recurring issue that is a deal breaker for him and that doesn’t change, or a difference in values that neither of you are willing to compromise on he will do the Hard Thing and end it. It will break him, and he will not do it lightly. He’ll be calm and unafraid to show his heartbreak at having to do so. It will be a private, respectful conversation and he would never do it in anger or when he doesn’t feel like he’s in the right headspace. He takes it very seriously, and will be gentle and kind.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) He takes all of his relationships very seriously. If he agrees to be exclusive with you, he sees a future with you. He’s unafraid of commitment, but that doesn’t mean he’ll jump into it at any given chance. When it comes to marriage, he’ll tell you very early on about his feelings about the seriousness of his relationships, so you will not be surprised when he pops the question. He’ll make sure you’re on the same page. However, he will not marry you until he feels safe and secure in his career and his place in life, wanting to feel capable in taking care of you, wanting to feel proud to be your partner for the rest of your lives.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) So gentle. He is all soft touches and quiet words when it’s just the two of you alone. He’s very considerate of your feelings, all of the time. Often putting yours above his own. If he has to cancel a date you had planned, he will come to you like a kicked dog, tail between his legs and so many apologies and promises to make it up to you devastated that he’s hurt your feelings. If he feels as though he’s fallen short in any capacity, he will be nearly inconsolable, worried that he’s upset you.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) Oh he loves hugs. One of the very few displays of affection he’ll accept in public. He loves to wrap you up tight, head in the crook of your neck. Or if you’re at home and dare to have your back turned to him it won’t be long until his arms are wrapped around your waist and he’s pressing kisses to your neck.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?) The first time he tells you that he loves you would coincide when he kisses you for the first time. He takes everything slow, especially physical affection and so when he’s comfortable kissing you, he knows he’s in love. And when he knows it, you’ll know it.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Yes and no. His jealousy stems from his deep rooted insecurities so he will only really feel jealousy when you choose to spend your free time with people that he deems better than him in some way. His jealousy never comes from a place of distrust or paranoia. He just genuinely believes that you could do better than him.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed? Sweet, tender, deep. Everything about this man is devastatingly intentional. If he’s running out the door for work, he’s pulling you around the waist into a kiss that makes your head spin. When you cuddle up to go to bed and he’s got you snug against his chest, spooning. He’s pressing a kiss to your neck, whispering a last “i love you, MC” before sleep takes the both of you.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) He loves kids, and you will often see him be lenient and “soft” on the first years that find themselves getting into mischief when he’s Head Boy. When it comes to his kids, He is fun and playful but treats them like the (albeit small) humans they are. Endlessly patient with their (million) questions, stern when he needs to be but always explains to them why what they did was wrong. LOVES to reward their good behavior.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) He is decidedly not a morning person. Every time his alarm goes off he’s pulling you close and whispering sleepy jokes of “please don’t make me go” into your ear. The man could sleep until the afternoon if you let him - a perpetual night owl who never learns from his mistakes. When you have nowhere to be, you can expect to spend most of your morning in bed with him, in and out of sleep until you inevitably get hungry enough to drag him out of bed.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) He thrives at night, especially when he’s with you. Whether it’s a night out with friends or a cozy night in, he's in his element. He wants to enjoy every waking moment with you, especially after work. He’d rather lose a few hours of sleep than lose out on time with you.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) It’s a mixture of both. He’s up front and open about intentions and beliefs and dreams right off the bat, making sure those things click from the beginning. It’s the smaller things about him that he will casually drop into conversation amongst the mundane throughout your relationship. His anxieties, his insecurities, his fears. Who he is, and why. When you’re curled up with him in your spot of the castle after Gryffindor wins the Quidditch Cup because he caught the snitch, He tells you how it doesn’t matter, really, because his brother was captain. And when he's helping you with your thestrals he tells you how he never left his grandfather's side when he had fallen sick, and had held his best friend in the entire worlds hand when they took their final breath, and did you know his grandad had been his best friend in the entire world? Before you?

P = Patience (How easily angered are they? With other people? Practically endless patience. With himself? He has a short fuse. He holds himself to very high standards and expectations (thanks to his upbringing) and when he doesn’t meet them he gets very angry with himself, often lashing out. Whether it’s school, quidditch, summoners court, as a romantic partner, etc.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)Oh, He remembers everything. Every special date, your favorite foods and snacks. How you take your coffee/tea. He remembers it all.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)He’d have a problem choosing just one, but it would probably be the start of it all. That first summoners court match, when you beat him and were kind about it.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) He’s very protective, but protective in a way he will do everything he can to stop you from needing to be protected in the first place, but he’s also protective in a prepared way. If he knows you’re off to the forbidden forest to go hunt for potion ingredients and he can’t tag along, He’ll send you off with a satchel full of wiggenweld. If it came down to it, he would not back down from a fight on your behalf or by your side. He’ll always stand up for you even if his legs shake.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) He goes all out, every time. He puts everything into everything that he does and he does not hold back when it comes to showing his love and appreciation for you on special days. Or any day that he gets to spend with you.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) He hides his insecurities by barricading them behind bravado, often coming off as an egotistical dick. He has a tendency to burn himself out by tryingsohardallofthetime that he puts his own wellbeing on the back burner, resulting in breakdowns and exhaustion and lashing out at his close friends and you. When he is feeling exceptionally jealous, he can be a bit possessive and a little whiny, often tugging you away from whatever it is you're doing or whoever you’re with to be alone with him. With the high expectations he has constantly hovering over him, he’s also awfully competitive. The desire to be the very best getting him into sticky situations.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) Not overly concerned. He does want to look good especially once he’s with you. Wanting to look and feel good for you, he’ll often ask you what you prefer about his appearance. Standing in the bathroom mirror in your home, hounding you with questions. “Do you like my hair shorter? Longer? I could be bulkier yeah? Should I grow a beard? Would you like that?”

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) Once he had you, losing you would be the worst thing that could ever happen to him.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.) He’s the youngest of 4 sons and comes from a very intense family that has high expectations. Also I love him so I’m giving myself another: He plays quidditch but he’s not a Quidditch Player™

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?) Selfishness, Disloyalty.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?) The man is a contortionist in his sleep. His gangling limbs just… everywhere. It had been an adjustment when the two of you started sleeping together, but soon enough his unconscious self managed to contort himself around you instead of unintentionally trying to shove you from the bed.

just finished Planet Of Fire part 2 and although I'm not as hopelessly sad at being close running out of turlough and 5 episodes as I was with 2, jamie and zoe it's started to hit me how I actually adore these characters and don't want to say goodbye to them. I'm not ready.

I mean, I saw Resurrection Of The Daleks earlier this afternoon and now I'm just spending the whole time watching peri in this serial going "pathetic. hopeless. tegan would never. #notmycompanion" because tegan is absolutely iconic and she's been there since goddamn Logopolis in season 18 and it's just plain weird not having her around anymore. Sorry peri but you haven't immediately caught my attention like tegan did

agghhh classic who really hitting you with the anticipation of having to say goodbye because you know what's coming next. With nuwho you don't know what's coming which is good for some other reasons but omfg the anticipation of knowing exactly when and how a companion departs from fandom osmosis and just watching you edge closer and closer and love the character more and more omfg it's PAIN and I'd never have it any other way.

Like when I was watching season 19 and the amazing shit like adric spend the whole dance just getting food in Black Orchid. And I was just like "omg just like me fr iconic i love it". And then it hit me that he's going to be blown up in a few episodes. He's going to fucking die.

#at least this time I'm not the same hopeless mess I was near the end of season 6 #“NOOOO I DON'T WANT TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOU YET” bestie two and jamie had over 100 episodes #weirdly I didn't feel this with the third doctor #I think it's because all the many companions stayed #because like sure it's 4 now but we still have sarah and the brigadier and benton and everyone #whereas with The War Games we lose all the protags in one go #and with Resurrection+Planet Of Fire+Caves then it's one per serial for three serials in a row #which is basically all at once #or at least it's a hell of a lot more losing them in one go than the transition between 3 and 4 #but yeah turlough and five #although they haven't broken into my fave/joint fave spots like two and jamie have #I still really love their dynamic #and find both of them relatable and entertaining #doctor who #classic who #fifth doctor #vislor turlough #tegan jovanka #that one's ramblings

So was finally able to watch Sonic prime today and I have so many words after the first watch.

Gonna put it all under the cut so spoilers for Sonic Prime below.

So I love Nine so much. He is gonna be probably one of the best characters in this show, in my opinion.

Just he's been through so much with no one caring about him at all. I like that he's just a very selfish character but in an understandable way. Why would he stay and help these people he's never met, no one ever bothered to ever help him so why would/should he help them. So yeah of course he's not gonna care to help the resistance they never did anything for him.

He only cares about Sonic who is the first person in his entire life to ever be kind to him. Nine has an immediate attachment to Sonic, despite him saying otherwise that they aren't friends, but actions speak louder than words there buddy-o. Like you literally wanted to start a new world with just the two of you my guy.

I see people thinking that Nine thinks Sonic abandoned him there at the end, and I think he does a little bit but not 100%. In that he's not gonna just betray Sonic since Sonic didn't save him. Nine is smart he knows Sonic keeps randomly traversing the Shatterverse thing area and has the same energy signal. Once Sonic is able to explain "oh I was going towards you but then got booted into the in-between" Nine will probable be like "oh that tracks based on my calculations" (in my mind I want it to go like this at least, plus I hate plots with the "oh you left me so I will betray you" when literally it was out of the other persons control to leave them, idk I just really am not a fan of that kind of plot line).

Also Nine still made sure that he gave the Eggman quintuplets a reason not to kill Sonic. I think once Nine realizes they can't find Sonic in that reality he'll put two and two together of what happened.

Also also can we talk about how Nine was literally smarter than all 5 Eggmans put together. He hacked their computers, overrode Rusty Rose, and figured out how to traverse the Shatterverse in a few weeks with the shard that the human forms of Eggsecute couldn't figure out when they literally had it for seemingly years. Nine just Legally Blond "what like it's hard" the Eggmans so bad.

Side note, can we just talk about how in almost every single world Sonic's first response is "I need to find Tails!!" He needs Tails to figure out what going on and how to fix it but also that's his best friend and little brother, new situation find the person he trusts the most first. Him saving Mangey Tails when he first got to the jungle world was just so adorable he was so worried about him.

There's so much with this show I wanna talk about but I'm real tired.
