If I had a nickel for every time one of Matthew Lillard's characters was the serial killer relative whom another character, whose name starts with V, doesn't want anyone to know is their relative, and then that character got stabbed... I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't much, but it's still weird that it happened twice.

“HOW CAN PEOPLE LOVE OR EVEN LIKE THIS CHARACTER WHEN THEY”
Shh, shh, shhh, my love, it’s okay. They’re not real. I know you have no actual life or real problems because if you did, this stuff wouldn’t send you spinning, but they are not real. It’s okay, honey; let’s get you to bed, you need some rest. 🙂

Leslie Macher hcs
It was revealed in Scream (2022) that Stu had a sister but since we only ever saw her brother and her son, we can only imagine what she's like ! So here's my version of Leslie Macher :
- Queer
- Used to be really close with Stu
- Art university
- Parents never there
- She named the dog and the cat
- She blames her parents for how Stu turned out (which is wrong but yk she's grieving)
- She's a party girl
- Would sometimes bring Tatum and Stu back with her car

The killers in Scream 4 should have been Jill and Robbie.
Charlie's motive was weak. One of the main themes of the film was fame and Robbie would have been a better reflection of that. He has his obsessively consistent livestream, he throws massive parties - the boy clearly wants to be known and liked. Jill could have used that to make killing sound like a good idea if they still wanted her to be the driving force of the spree. Erik Knudsen has a lot of talent and Robbie is an enjoyable character considering the scraps of screentime he's given. He could have made a really fun Ghostface.
The killers in Scream 5 should have been Richie and Vince.
It was honestly a travesty that Stu's legacy (not to mention the acting talent of scream king Kyle Gallner) was shunted aside in the first 20 minutes. I find it believable that Richie would seek out Stu's descendent and try to shoehorn himself in as the second coming of Billy Loomis by dating Vince. Their involvement would also eliminate the creepy age differences going on in that film on top of allowing Amber to be a genuine, caring, protective girlfriend to Tara without it feeling so damn insidious. Not to mention, it would open up the possibility of a fight between Sam and Vince - two descendents of serial killers who took their lives in very different directions after finding out. Could have been interesting to explore or at least acknowledge.
Anyway, this was a little rambly, it's just what I've been thinking about recently

Horror Movie References in Scream (2022)
A youtuber named Zack Cherry whose a big scream fan made a 4 videos where he list movie reference that were mentioned or payed homage for a scene in the scream franchise. He has done one for Scream (2022), So I decided to make one for my self. I found only 25 movie references in Scream (2022). I also notice one tv show reference.
1. Vertigo (1958): directed by Alfred Hitchcock. There's a poster of the movie behind the couch in living room at the meeks-martin home
2. The Blob (1958): there's a blob poster in the meeks-martin home.
3. Psycho (1960): directed by alfred hitchcock. Wes taking a shower is reference to the shower scene. There's a poster of psycho in the meeks-martin home.
4. Last house on the left (1972): directed by wes craven, which was his first movie he directed. Vince has a tattoo of symbol in reference to the movie. There's a photo of a movie theatr in the meeks-martin home.
5. The hills have eyes (1977): directed by wes craven. There's a photo of a movie theatre in the meeks-martin home.
6. Halloween (1978): Tara and Sam's last name is Carpenter which is a reference to John Carpetner who directed Halloween. When Mindy is watching Stab, where Stab Randy is watching Halloween.
7. Friday the 13th part 2 (1981): Richie mentions Jason Voorhees by saying that killer got their inspiration from horror movies. Vince also has tattoo of Jason.
8. A Nightmare on elm street (1984): directed by Wes Craven. In Dewey's contact list, there are names Nancy T (Nancy Thompson) and Tina G (Tina Grey). Vince has a tattoo of the number 1428 which is the number address in elm street and a duck dressed up as freddy krueger. Tara mentions Sidney use to live in elm street.
9. Shocker (1989): directed by Wes craven. Vince has a tattoo of a person in an electic chair getting shocked.
10. The people under the stairs (1991): directed by wes craven. In Stab, there are two vhs tapes. The people under the stairs is one of them.
11. Scream (1996): directed by wes craven. Because the movie's topic is requels, there are a lot of references in the first film.
- the macher house is in the third act.
- the opening sequence is similar to the drew barrymore opening scequence
- Gale's red suit is similar to the one she wore in the original
12. Scream 2 (1997): there are references in the second movie.
- richie and amber targeting legacy characters is similar to mickey and mrs loomis targeting characters who have the same names as previous Woodsboro victims
- Richie plays the supportive goofy boyfriend who is pretty similar to Derek
- Judy saying she prefers Musical and animated films is similar to Randy saying show girls is his favourite scary movie
13. Scream 2000 (2000): there are a few references from the third movie.
- amber wearing a bullet proof vessel is similar to how roman wore one
- sam being Billy's daughter is similar to sidney finding out she has a brother name roman. Roman and Billy are ghostface killers.
14. Scream 4 (2011):
- Sam mentions that last ghostface murders happened 11 years ago.
- Scream 5 talking about requels is similar to Scream 4 talking about remakes
- final girls (sidney and sam) saying this isn't a movie where ghostface (richie and Charlie) replied by saying it will be.
15. You're next (2011): one of deputy officers, Deputy Vinson could be a reference to actress Sharnie Vinson who played final girl Erin in the movie.
16. The Babadook (2014): Tara says this is her favourite horror movie. What interesting the movie is about a grieving mother and son who are in a strained relationship which is like Tara's family issues.
17. It follows (2014): tara mentions this movie.
18. The VVitch (2015): tara mentions this movie. The movie is about a family being banished, where strange things start to happened and Thomasin whose the oldest is being blamed. This is another movie that goes through a lot of family issues.
19. Flatliners (2017): Mindys mentions how remakes don't work like they use to and mentions flatliners as being one of them.
20. Hereditary (2018): another movie that Tara mentions and another movie feels similar to the family issues.
21. Halloween (2018): Mindy mentions how the killers are making a requels where she mentions Halloween which is a long-awaited sequel to the first movie.
22. Childs play (2019): another remake that mindy list as how remakes don't work. Ironically there were positive feedback from this movie despite the low expectations.
23. Black Christmas (2019): another remake that mindy mentions.
24. Ready or not (2019): the other deputy, deputy Farney could be reference to actress Tara Farney who stars in the movie. Ready or not shares the same production as scream 5 and 6, Radio Silence.
25. Spiral the book of saw (2021): mindy mentions it as a requel.
The tv show I was talking about Riverdale (2017-2023). Betty Cooper is similar to Sam Carpetner. Where they both have fathers who are killers that wear a mask during the killings. They also wonder if they may end up like their fathers because of the darkness in them.

My OCs: Caroline Schneider — 18 during Scream (2022), 19 during Scream VI, etc.
Daughter of Leslie Macher, younger sister of Vince Schneider, niece of Stu Macher. Sarcastic, kind but a bitch if she dislikes you (Liv 👀), brutally honest, loves her family, takes care of everyone, can’t stand most of her peers, will call out those she loves with love (Vince 👀). Musical theatre fan. She loves cheerleading, but detests all the annoying people it requires her to be around. Her family and the Hicks are neighbors (across the street and a few houses down), so she’s sort of friends with Wes from the neighborhood and school; she is a little bit in love with him. She enjoys taking pictures and making videos, for memories.

I was so confused at first I was like Vince Schneider who's he 😭 my brain is just slow, but you like totally should (just cause I finished reading randys new obsession and im lowkey obsessed like whatttt it was delicious) cause he had so much potential they coulda made him like not die and like become less of an asshole he literally could've been a great character but noooo they decided to kill him 🙄
Thank you!! I might be making a sequel but you never know :3 Might make a short story instead
And yeah, I whole heartily agree with you. Vince had so much potential. Like, I get that he's related to Stu but you gotta do him that dirty? Make him an asshole, sure, but give him a backstory or something. Give him proper relations to characters.
It would've been so interesting if he had beef with Sam and actively talked shit about her to Liv when they were dating.
Could've given him a kind-of redemption arch OR make him a ghostface. Like all he does in the movie is try to win Liv back and he fucking dies😭 He needs more screen time honestly

Motives for everyone
Scream 1. Randy was in love with SIdney and tired of the rejections and Tatum just wanted to kill her cheating boyfriend
Scream 2. Derek & Hallie's would be similar to Mickey's motivation and the Sorority sisters just wanted the fame of Sidney in their house and dying in their house
Scream 3 1. Dewey was unhealthily obsessed with Sidney. He was the third killer during Billy and Stu's murders. He tied up loose ends and stalked Sidney. He was tired of being the town laughingstock and tired of being the butt of Tatum's jokes. So he convinced Billy and Stu to help him. They'd become infamous, while Dewey would be seen as the hero and get the girl he always wanted, but that never happened. If he can't have SIdney, no one can. Jennifer was someone that Gale fucked over to get the Woodsboro gig. It was supposed to be hers. Gale took everything from her and she wanted revenge. So Dewey and Jennifer come together and enact their plan.
Scream 3 2. Milton is the mastermind. He essentially wants to tie up loose ends. If the story of Maureen gets out, his studio and the Stab franchise is finished. So Milton decides to use his son Roman and his new actress for Sidney to kill all ties to Maureen Prescott, finally ending with Sidney's death. Roman's motive remains the same and Angelina's motive is her cut motive was her being obsessed with Sidney, taking the role of Sidney and wanting to become Sidney.
Scream 4:Judy was in love with Billy Loomis and jealous of Sidney. Rebecca would be selling the story of Sidney's tragic demise.
Unbeknownst to Sidney and Neil, Maureen had an affair with her brother in law before Sidney was born. This led to the destruction of Kate's one and only marriage and Neil later found out after Maureen's death. Kate initially planned her solo revenge around the time the events of the first Scream took place, she's spent years mad that her love life was destroyed by Maureen and inevitably told Neil, who feels his life was derailed by his wife's actions. Sidney isn't their main target, they plan to target people in their lives who did nothing to help them or they felt contributed to their personal struggles. For Neil, it's those who Maureen had affairs with, ie. Cotton Weary, Hank Loomis. For Kate, it's family who continued to associate with Maureen despite knowing the truth and her ex-husband. Jill kills Neil, Sidney kills Kate, Jill's friends become collateral damage. Jill and Sidney become extremely close after this as they're the only close family they have left.
Scream 5:Embracing his uncle’s legacy and attempting to turn Sam into his partner for her to embrace her father’s legacy. This time, the Macher is the mastermind and groomed Tara to be his partner like Richie did.
Tara’s motive would be Sam left her. Her father left her. Her mother is a drunken whore and Wes was obsessed with her and the only guy she liked was stolen from her. Her life was shit and it started the moment that Sam left her. Vince enters her life and they plan to get back at Sam for leaving her and they'd discover something interesting. Not only is Sam the daughter of Billy, but Tara is the daughter of Stu. If Vince can't have the daughter of Billy, he can have his cousin work with him and fulfill Stu's legacy. It would end with Sidney killing Vince while Sam has Tara at her mercy, but she can't kill her. She leaves her alive and makes things interesting as the only Ghostface to be captured alive with Tara promising that she will finish what she started with Sam just hoping she can bring her sister back.
Scream 6. Gale's motive. She needs Ghostface. Her fame is slipping and she lost Dewey. But no one can profit off of the memory of a good man. So Gale decides to become the monster she created to sell more blood and she has the perfect tools at her disposal. The Woodsboro subreddit group. Greg and Jason are the perfect patsys. Their goal is to finish Richie's movie and no one would suspect she had a part to play in this. If for some reason Greg and Jason fail, she has Brooks and Danny by her side to finish her work. And unlike in the actual Scream 6, there is more of a bloodbath throughout New York, on campus and Chad actually dies
For a more indepth look at what Gale's motive could be, watch this video
