FORGOTTEN LAND'S SECOND ANNIVERSARY :3

I AM SOOOO BACK

I started this drawing yesterday around afternoon and finished it just a few minutes earlier.

I went with a messier type of drawing instead of more clean like the elfilin one from yesterday, i find it fun doing it like this, mostly cause i dont have to worry about making it perfectly so i dont get as frustrated as normal. Id place this one as my second best digital drawing. im pretty sure i havent posted what i consider my best digital drawing here, tho i do have it in instagram, i might post it here one day, tho these two are way too tied up, i love how this came out, its not exactly like how i imagined it but its really close to it, and also itd say that since i dont tend to play around lighting that much, this was such a joy to draw and i cant help but stare at it a lot, at least until i start hating it because i made quite a lot of errors. i also changed my elfilis gijinka just a tad bit from last time, but its not that big of a difference, mostly.

ofc i had to draw elfilis for forgotten land's anniversary, i tend to deny it in my head but yeah they're my fave of the kirby characters even tho i hate them a bit. I wanted to draw some more doodles, like, elfilis eating cake, kirby car, a bunch of other stuff (not elfilin cuz i already drew him yesterday) but when i tried i couldnt draw anything more, guess this drawing burned me out a lot, huh?

you can definitly tell i spent all the efforts on him cuz if you look a bit closer to the bottom part you'll see its almost barely detailed, but i mean, they're the focus so make sense i guess for me not add that much detail there. um also, maybe because i dunno i had OVER 130 LAYERS jeez no wonder firealpaca was slowing down so much, i need to manage my layers better next time, tho i did do something i keep forgetting, wich is naming them (most of them at least) that was a real life saver

Also, antares (fecto elfilis' spear/cadaceus), as always, was a pain to draw, but this time its probably been draw the most accurate out of every other drawing ive made with it in it, i didnt notice it was like, a little curved when it reached the blade

fun fact! actually, this is technically a redraw, somewhere around between february and march i started a fecto elfilis drawing for the first anniversary, but i couldnt finish it in time, and i never finished it

thats...quite the improvement! (i remember being so proud of it)

also his wings are like that cuz i did not want to draw the pattern, its way too hard, i literally copy pasted it, wait, i was talking about the 2024 version but i looked at the 2023 one and i just noticed it also has the pattern copy pasted, i guess some stuff never changes since i still abuse the ctrl+c ctrl+v to this day

Also i ended up making a huge error there, i was planing to add the phantom spears from orbital pulsar (the attack he does first when you battle them at lab discovera) but theres an innacuracy, when they do the attack, they always close their eyes, i had actually sketched him (well i mean both these drawings are basically the first sketch (2023) or second sketch(2024) with some color, shadows and lighting. i didnt do lineart in the 2024 one cuz i wanted to be a bit like the og i made (too bad i sketched that one with black since the og was sketched with white due to me drawing the bg first)) with his eyes closed but them decided to make them open for a reason i cant remember, maybe i thought itd look nicer? idk

ive had the idea of redrawing this for quite some month now so it was kinda already planned

background cuz i think it came out really pretty

doesnt have the little stars since without elfilis and the structures it looks fucked up. the actual sky in game is more blue, but the clouds have some orange, in the 2023 ver. i made the sky orange, and in the 2024 ver i wanted it more accurate, but i didnt wanna loose the orange sky, so i did a gradient. pretty...

also here's a screenshot i took when i was like halfway trough it, its barely noticeable but i changed his mouth in the final drawing

I really love katfl, like a buncha whole lot, its basically almost my first mainline kirby game. 100% the demo, finished the game in almost one day, i literally play it monthly, like, every month i put the card in my switch, start it up, get morpho sword, and go shred elfilis in lab discovera. i would probably not even be here on tumblr and the kirby fandom if it werent for it. and i love it so much i genuinly cannot express how much i like it and treasure it with words or anything

Will you tell me about an LU character you love and why you love them? Please please please ramble on and on! It's my favorite! I get so many fun ideas when people gush about their favorites.

I (think) I've said this before, but I am not the most analytical/observ person ever so most of what I say is probably kinda shallow :') BUT THIS IS MY RAMBLE SO OH WELL

Okay so recently, I've been on a Warriors kick. I just super love how like, everyone portrays him! Most see him as big brother shaped, which I super love. His background is just so vastly different than every other Link, which serves as a very cool contrast imo

The way @somer-writes makes Twi and Wars idiodic brothers is like, my favorite ever. I love love love LOVE how he writes Wars and Twi it's so insane the comedy that unfolds when they're just messing around xD

Warriors has this air, this *vibe* which I'm just super drawn too, I think it's just how my personality vs his works (you could theoretically draw *some* parallels with Sokka from ATLA, at least the way they each hold themselves I'd say. Also big bro stuff) (ALSO how both of them are portrayed as 'smart', which is a trait I typically relate too in characters)

When I like a character though, it's more based on the different types of relationships everyone writes them as though, I'd say. Wars and Time and Wind have this super intriguing bond that I think is cool to see how everyone interprets it! For the most part people write them as they're all aware of the War of Ages and whatnot, which lead to some nice fluff and/or angst. But when there's some time paradoxes, it makes it every so more tragic and it's really interesting to see how that can get written. I recall a fic (I FORGOT THE TITLE AND THE AUTHOR NOO) where Wars was teaching Wind medic stuff, but it was like a year before Wind meets Wars in the war. So Wars is all "sob this is why Wind is such a good medic? *Bc I taught him?*" THIS IS SO COOL AND INTERESTING

Also when there's War of Ages fics that have Time/Mask being a stupid child (/aff) they're just super hilarious. There's a series out there that has the Fierce Deity (sorry forgot the author again xD) act as Wars parent figure/older brother figure and it's just really funny to me bc ofc Wars would be a stupid overworking idiot. Loser smh

Four is also another one of the sillies that live in my brain, and I kinda wish there were more fics on how they interact. Though, if I'm being real idk how they really would cause they don't really have the same synergy as any other Links. I just like my favorites to interact, but I super understand how they wouldn't ^^

Small side bit on serious Wars (the biggest example is "Call Them Brothers" by wutheringmights which I'm almost 100% certain you've read that already cause it's soooo long and it's SO GOOD AHH) and ugh I wish I could pay attention more to get every complexity that this Wars has but the brain kinda hates me. I think it makes a lot of sense for Wars to have a grittier characterization, war does that to people. The entire fic is so visceral to me, I just vividly remember reading the flashback section about the long winter, and I don't even know how to really describe it xD

Wars has such a broad range of emotion, if one were to put him under and microscope and study him there would be SO MUCH.

HAVE I TALKED ABOUT THE AESTHETIC

HES THE FUCKING PRETTY BOY OF THE GROUP AND THAT'S SO VALUBLE TO ME FOR NO REAL REASON

Ik Wild is seen as the one with like, outfits and Legend has his jewlery, BUT WARS HAS HIS FUCKING SCARF. THERES SO MANY POSTS ABOUT WARS AND HIS EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SCARF AND I AM SO FUCKING FOR IT YOU HAVE NO IDEA

THE SHADE OF BLUE IS AWESOME, ITS SO COOL, ITS SO COOL HES SO COOL RAHHHH

7) Favourite works of all time excluding your own

This one is so hard because I have favourite artists, but not many favourite works. Plus, my favourite changes with every passing second but right now I would have to say this drawing of Damian with some birbies by @malenjoyer

I love this art style so much and HE'S SO CUTE

8) What do you like most about your own work

Gosh this is a hard one because I think as artists we're always thinking on whats wrong or how we can improve, but I would have to say the line art. It's my favourite part of the process and I like how much character I add to it, though I want to experiment with a more messier style.

9) What are you currently trying to improve

two things. My colour and my backgrounds. I struggle with picking out background colours that makes the foreground pop out or that just looks nice. And I think almost everyone can agree that backgrounds are hard and boring to draw. But it must be done.

11) Favourite comment you've ever received on your work

I have no idea. I love and cherish every comment on my work. Sometimes I just look through them when I'm feeling down. But my favourite right now is on my comic about Damian riding Batcow. They were basically info dumping about how riding cows isn't actually that great but I put Damian in the best spot to sit when riding. I felt so smart for that, even though I just guessed where someone would sit on a cow.

15) Biggest Art Pet Peeve

I don't have a lot of art pet peeves, more like artist pet peeves. Like those people that make those speed paint videos with the clip of markiplier going "jingle jingle" and slime videos to be like "ooooh you don't have the attention span to watch this speedpaint until the end oooooh you hate artists". I'm being hyperbolic, but I still scroll to spite them lol. But for an actual ART pet peeve, I don't like it when a character has soooo many accessories. tbf that's my personal taste, I still find the art lovely and I still admire those who put so many accessories on characters, if that makes sense??? Like that one post about the art teacher who gave a critique about a girls art telling her to make the teacher hate it? Idk I'm writing this past my bedtime so my brain is a little like mush right know. I also hate people bashing art styles. like the "calarts style" (don't get me started) or any other popular trends. Like dude, ever heard of art eras? Art goes through trends.

As fun as drawing the four kings were, I HATE HOW I DREW MIKEY- there I said it *drops mike and walks off stage*

Here is my official rank on how much fun I had drawing and how much I liked it (MY OPINION OKAY-)

Raph: 10/10 first time drawing him too but drawing him was so much fun and he poses like a boss, had fun with the whole process <3

Leo: LOVED the background (best one in my opinion) and pose BUT I wish I knew he had an official design first before drawing. Still cute tho but I can’t ignore how much agony I was in when drawing it-

Donnie: I wanted to do so many things with him. was fun but I don’t like the background nearly as much as Leo’s or raphs. Love the outcome tho but just like with Leo, my back was on the verge of collapse-

Mikey: took the longest, hate the background bc It looks too much like the ref I was inspired by, I like his design but I would DEF change some stuff abt it. That and his pose is soooo BORING not Mikey like at all. There’s not a lot of king bob Omb content so I had little to no idea on what to do

Overall, I might make a new king bob omb mikey soon that isn’t so culinary based cause while Mikey loves to cook, he also loves all other arts! And I wanna make another drawing of him that captures that more!

Sorry for my little rant but having all pieces of the boys side by side I see an obvious outlier :/

Bloopers/Notes from "A New Home!"

☆I don't have anything too silly until ch. 15 :(

Ch. 1, Where am I?:

☆I started this fic at like, 2 am, just on complete impulse. Everything here just summoned itself from my 2 am brainrot.

☆I didn't really chat this chapter out with any friends, so nothing too silly.

Ch. 2, Meeting New People?:

☆I was planning on making reader more of a Simp, but I talked to my friends and we decided against it, since it would be difficult for reader to get along with characters more genuinely.

☆At the end of the chapter, "If I go to sleep here, will I wake back up in the real world?...", I was thinking of just posting chapter 3 where it said: You wake up, story over. The end.

Ch. 3, We are the Army.:

☆Army was an octoling since the beginning! You can see that in the banner. The background is made up of octopi instead of squids, and you can see a bit of a tentacle.

Ch. 4, If memory serves wrong...:

☆Bro I suck at writing flirty stuff. End me now, Aloha's difficult for me to write

☆The "nothin' personal, kid", was a total reference, and I plan on adding many more. I'm going to try my best to add some iconic vines that still suit the scene.

Ch. 5, Descisions, decisions.:

☆On the other hand, I looove drawing aloha! He's so cute and silly! I like to draw his tentacles very round and bubbly and man, his eyes are so pretty!

☆This was the chapter that made me start thinking about giving reader teammates, mostly because they needed someone other than a bench to sleep.

Ch. 6, Hoooow Anoooying.:

☆mASK MY BELOVED

☆Can you tell he's my favorite?

☆I wanted to make him a little silly, giving him more of a personality. He can't be scary all the time, I really do think part of it is an act.

☆Another anime reference: the lens of his gasmask shining, just like in an anime.

Ch. 7, SUB WEAPON HELL!:

☆I was torn between what to do for the banner. I already used Mask with his mask on for chapter 6, and I planned on using his maskless version for what's now chapter 13. But then I remembered another one of my favorite boyos, Desi! I know he isn't featured too much in this chapter, and I'm sorry, but I needed something!

☆Anyways, I know this entire battle by heart. I know all of Mask's voice lines. Save me.

☆I try my best to not show bias in my fics, but I will relentlessly show it outside of em'.

☆Ugh, can't wait for team cyan moments fr

Ch. 8, Newfound Family.:

☆THE GUYS FR

☆I was stuck between just giving reader nameless teammates, incase ya'll already had your own ocs in mind of something, but I HATE nameless characters. And characters that don't have a personality. I figured that I'd already have to give them personalities, so why not go all in.

☆Soooo, I threw in my beloved OCs! I've had these guys around for YEARS, so I know them and their personalities like the back of my hand, which makes writing for them super easy and fun!

☆bro they look so cursed with splatoon 1 hairstyles to me. I didn't have the heart to snatch their iconic hair, so ignore that.

LOOK AT HIM!! ITS NOT EVEN MILO ANYMORE HE'S JUST MARCUS SMH.

Ch. 9, Shopping Spree!:

☆I actually wrote this and the last chapter at 1 am by accident. I was like oho let me write a few notes down for tomorrow so I don't forget. But here we are 2k words later.

☆After seeing that the next day, I realised that the squad tm would take up 2 chapters total. There's 3 of them. So then I had to figure out how to do the banners. I worked it out, though!

☆Tasha's hair's longer I swear, it just didn't fit on the banner smh

☆Damn she and skull look a lot alike, huh

Ch. 10, Skull's Territory.:

☆I knew I couldn't have reader simp, but that doesn't mean I can't have some simpery!! So I have Milo, Leo and Tasha to do it!! They get to express my true emotions <3

Ch. 11, A Misunderstanding?:

☆I was planning on going in official meeting order for these uhh "getting closer with the S4", (Rider, army, aloha, mask, skull.) but my clear bias for Mask got me to write for him first.

☆I struggled to choose which song, but the idea came to me because I learned all the lyrics to Kick Back(chainsaw man), not too long ago. But I figured I'd just go with one of the most well known series/openings.

☆Didn't make the cut:

-Was gonna have reader and Mask walk in the rain together. That's why reader grabbed Milo's umbrella, cause it was the biggest one.

-c'mon, that would have been cute

Ch. 14, ...You Didn't See that.:

☆I was planning this since the start to be honest. Not exactly this scenario, but I knew I wanted to throw this headcannon in there.

☆After seeing how much love my fic was getting, I was almost going to abandon the idea, afraid that my readers wouldn't like it, and leave.

☆Jeebus those tentacles took me way too long to draw.

Figuring out what to do for Army's meetup+scrapped ideas:

Ch. 15, Sweetheart.:

☆I only made it to 1k words with Skull's part, he really doesn't talk a lot so it's hard to fill up space.

☆ Making you guys hate him off the bat is a lot dunner to write! He was shitty and mean in the first bit where he was shown anyways, so suffer! He'll have to go through some character development eventually, but until then, he's your most despised rival mwahaha

I love your comic! I just been wondering how is the procedure to make one page? Is there a lot of writing and sketching? Or is there any secret method to your drawing? You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to. I’m just really amazed by how constant your posts are, they never disappoint in making my day better whenever I see them.

There is some writing, I usually write the dialogue first so I know how many panels I'll need for the scene. I write my scripts on leftover cash receipts ;)

About the drawing itself...I wish there was this super awesome secret method, but there really is not. I draw the sketch first...

then flat colours,

and finally shading and backgrounds

I'm probably going to receive a ton of hate mail from comic artists who actually know how things should REALLY be done x'D

The more panels and characters, the longer the page takes. While I do enjoy making longer pages and get people enjoy them more as well, I'll need to balance the consumed time with shorter ones with less characters.

I prefer staying ahead of the schedule (you can see all the posts have been finished like 2 months before posting) because I am genuinely terrified of having to one day make an announcement that says "Sorry, the page is still in the making". I broke my right pinkie less than 2 years ago and drawing was VERY slow back then, but since I had plenty of finished pages in stock no one knew about it ;)

Soooo yeah, that's pretty much it. That's how I do it, not sure if it's anything special compared to how others are drawing their comics.

Thank you so very much for your message and feedback, it truly makes it all worth it to know people like what I'm creating. Also that they appreciate the consistency, that's a very important thing for me as well.

I hope you'll enjoy the story in the future as well, especially when we have our beloved chaotic mother-in-law in the game again ;)

How do you feel in general about the FNAF story post-Pizzeria Simulator? (I personally detest its mere existence, 'cept Help Wanted that was okay ig)

OK SO lore-wise, the games take place like this (in the way I interpret it):

5 (sister location)

6 (pizzeria sim)

7 (ultimate custom night aka UCN)

SOOOO since pizzeria sim is 6th, that’d make UCN 7th, and ucn is like an eternal hell for William Afton after his death in fnaf 6. so beyond the 7 main games….I don’t really pay attention to those too much.

I MYSELF really only take out small elements of fnaf VR to actually pay attention to and yknow. consider. same with security breach (which I view as basically completely separate from the main storyline LMFAO).

for me UCN was lame cuz I’m a pussy with a skill issue, and help wanted is a game that I watched someone play in the background while drawing or something.

HOWEVER WHEN IT COMES TO PERSONAL OPINIONS!!!!!!!!! I HATE fnaf 3. security breach is amazinf solely because grwgory exists and how incredibly broken the game is. my fav fnaf game is sister location because of the colors and how it was the first fnaf game to break the same mold that the others had. pizzeria sim is my second fav honestly— I don’t like the nighttime portions but the daytime portions are SOOOOOO fun so it’s worth it!!!!!!!!! Kinda.

Assuming the cover is real, which I do, I’m not going to lie....I don’t really get the level of hate toward it. I think it is A MILLION times better than Walls, which was just an absolutely horrible debut album cover. Between the tacky, school picture day background, Louis’ pose, his expression, his outfit, the overall color scheme....nothing about it would draw anyone’s attention in a positive way or make them want to pick it up, in my opinion.

I don’t think this one is perfect, but I do think it’s a lot better than that. I like that it’s a close up of his face. I think he looks pretty. I love the turtleneck. I actually don’t mind the color scheme, and to the point that it’s the same aesthetic as Walls - it’s not really? It’s the same aesthetic as his tour, which I think evolved from where he was with Walls. And his tour only just concluded, so I think it makes sense that his next era would still fit with what he’s been doing recently. If COVID-19 hadn’t happened and he’d dropped the album, then done tour, then had a year off to work on the album, and then put the new album out, I would expect the album cover to reflect a different era more.

I think the half shadow/half light on his face is kinda cool and that it can be viewed as him sort of looking toward that future, maybe representing him stepping out of the shadows and leaving the past behind. I honestly don’t even mind the font, but I know a lot of people think it looks too much like something a fan could do, and I can understand that perspective.

I will say that I am tired of Louis’ very serious vibe. I think it would be nice to have more of his optimism and softness reflecting in his album photos and photoshoots because we’ve pretty much always just gotten photos where he looks miserable or very serious. Particularly with an album with a title talking about having faith in the future, it would make more sense to have some joy in his expression. It’s always been so odd how counter his photo aesthetic is with who he actually is as a human being. I think a large part of that is his and his team’s desire to try to mold him after Liam Gallagher, which may make sense when it comes to music, but simply does not make sense in terms of Louis’ personality which is mostly very soft and bright with a few hard edges.

So yeah, I don’t hate the album cover, but I do definitely think they could have done a much better job with it considering how strong his merch and other design ideas are. I wonder why they didn’t.

Friends to lovers, definitely. I'd rather not have animosity and troubled backgrounds that add baggage to the relationship, it's frustrating for everyone. Unless it's a very rare case of well done enemies to friends to lovers slowburn.

Backwards, but I'm taking the assumption that each chapter is in order and I'm reading the chapter order backwards, not each word of each chapter backwards as well.

Time loop! There's some really nice episodes of shows that have time loops (I'm mainly thinking star trek but I'm SURE I've seen other time loop episodes) so I'd be interested to see how that'd go with different stakes and have it be relationship oriented/character driven instead of in massive high stakes must save the world lol

Kill your favorite character, or marry your least favorite character?

I MEAN.... CT already gives you the option. I can just do that. I've also jokingly already been married and divorced to the annoying shit head from CT as well, but I don't think it counts cause I love to hate him. Dunno. If eventual divorce is an option maybe I'd get married, cause I can already kill

Meet your love interest in a coffe shop AU or a college AU?

Really depends on what we're studying. If it's my current major, that could be kinda funny. Making short films with these constraints and pretty much no budget is insane, and I'm even more so. It'd surely be interesting. Also tbh I don't go to coffee shops because I don't like the smell and they're always loud as fuck and I don't even drink coffee to begin with soooo......

Fuck it. No shame. I've read some shit and it'd be a bit nostalgic to see what I read way back in the day cause some were fun (most the fics are lost or got deleted) but most of it is cringe LMAO

Listen. If it's amazing, mpreg could be good. I just don't like seeing weird mpreg that feels fetishy and not well done. Honestly I prefer The Gays ™ cause at least back in the day, when did we ever get shit. It was all queer baiting or villain characters or bury your gays. But! If it's written well I honestly couldn't care less, I'd take an interesting het ship over a bland gay one any day

Considering I get a little inwardly pissy when I see some utterly whacky ooc stuff, I'd rather take the aus, cause then if people feel too ooc for me it's just an au lol..I know the point of fanfic is that you can do whatever but also, if you're doing a canon/canon adjacent fic, I prefer when they're taken seriously. I know that's pretentious as fuck and definitely of the 'you will never understand these characters like I do' shit but. Aus are so much easier to enjoy cause so many people have weird interpretations that'll piss me off way more if they're trying to pass it as canon...

Introduce fanfics to your normie friend with an ongoing smut fic with great writing, or a complete fluff fic with terrible writing?

Great writing. Nothing wrong with some smut if it's really good, no need to be prudish. And honestly, if the normie friend is REALLY against it, I could just create a censored version for them and snip out the smut scenes.

Notp done well for sure. If it's that good and in character with good plot and tropes, it could be fun. Dunno if it'll change my mind on it being notp lol but I'd rather that than have to read those shitty fics for my man all over again lol.. Already been through that don't make me do it again

I've already read plenty of both. Some fic authors are just able to make the most mundane things compelling, and some are still honing their skill but clearly have the passion, and both are fun to read. Both lol, I don't really care. I'd be mildly curious about how others characterise the ship I hate, and major character deaths can be very interesting and help create some fascinating dynamics and character driven moments. Actually maybe I'd lean more towards character death

Grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm taking this as 'wildly different to canon but trying to make a canon fic,' in which case it's a massive no thanks. If it's a crack au or clearly meant to be silly, I don't mind, but grammar and spelling aren't that bad

Nothing wrong with furries, could be fun. Lowkey interested in what's caused everyone to get pregnant, like is it just slice of life and EVERYONE is pregnant, like men women and all inbetween alike? And tbh I have a few scenes in a fic I'm writing with sci-fi bs for some characters getting pregnant but it's coming from a body horror perspective so? If it's a cool premise I probably wouldn't care about everyone being pregnant?

so...about the amphibia finale

it's really a mixed bag when it comes to the fandom's opinion. some people really love it, some people really hate it, some people think it's just mid. if i had to rate it, i would give it around a 6.5/10.

spoilers below

let's start with some things i really liked. the animation in this episode was absolutely stellar! the animation crew really did a great job with this one. there was plenty of smooth and complex motions and they were executed very, very well. so glad they got disney to let them have a canon wlw couple AND make sasha canonically bisexual. we are all well aware of how disney feels about lgbtq+ characters and themes in their media so im glad they let the gay stay in the show, however small of an appearance they are.

the first act was, to put it bluntly, super fucking rushed. there was almost no build up to the moon, figuring out a solution, the girls getting their powers... it really felt like they had to rush it all so they could get to the action scene. i'm going to be honest, the episode would have benefited from an extra 10 minutes in the first act to really build up the excitement.

speaking of the action, what we got was really really fun! the girls's powers being so visually imbued with their individual personality was great! i was laughing and cheering the whole fight. i really do think there could've been a little more back and forth with the fight. i know there's time constraints and all that but still.

anne and the cosmic domino god bit was...weird. i can't be the only one to think that plot point was so out of left field, right? the entire time that part was happening, i felt so confused. it would've worked if there were some background elements or small little foreshadowing earlier in the show. even if some drawings of this entity just showed up in a couple background details and someone mentioned it offhandedly once, then it would've worked soooo much better. i think the idea of anne being the next cosmic ruler is a really good one! i really do. i just think it could have been executed a little bit better.

the goodbyes really got me. i was sobbing. we all knew we would.

i loved how they stuck to the girls never coming back to amphibia again. i was so worried they would do some cop out shit like letting them keep the powers or music box so they could go back whenever they wanted. they could've but they didn't and i deeply respect the crew for that.

the flash forward was something i didn't expect to happen but i am so glad it did. i think knowing what everyone is up to ten years in the future gave a sense of closure that everything really did turn out okay after all. there was fun bits but also some really heartwarming parts. a feast of emotion, if you will. the girls's lives ten years later is what i expected too.

i knew they wouldn't be as close as they were in the show. some people are upset because after they said their friendship was stronger than ever they should've stayed close. i don't think that was really the best move though. i have friends i used to be so close with back in the day and we grew apart on good terms though! we still watch each other's lives from a distance while still appreciating what they meant to us and what we went through together. it's a natural thing that happens. i’m so glad this show about friendships and change really nailed that in that it's something that happens to even the strongest friendships.

really the main issues with this finale was the pacing and a couple of plot points that could've been touched on previously. the crew did a pretty decent job with what they had and i give them all the kudos!
