“why do you stan this character, they did [insert crime], ur prawblemateec😭😭”
they have pretty face? they don’t exist? have you considered that I don’t give a fuck? let women have hobbies?…
that whole discourse with villains bores me senseless. “they are evil & cruel etc” — yes, they are, this is literally why we stan them, I’m not a pro in using some ‘very smart’ terms, so I’ll explain it in easy words.
yes, we like villains because of their nature, because they’re evil and because they have charisma, cunningness, magical, their motives and their character is intriguing NOT FUCKING BECAUSE WE ARE THE SAME😭
also “you like [insert character] because of an actor” — No!?! I like them because of their personality and if I do like them because of an actor, it’s not a fucking crime? yes, we admit we like them because of an actor, that’s the powerful aura lol.
the most confusing thing about all of this is when a person stans a morally grey character but actively shits on you and creates a whole ass ‘hate communities’ because you stan another morally grey character + ur not pure enough if you stan [insert name] 🤡🤡 + they will make you a criminal and create million lies about u and ur character + “my villain is morally superior than your villain” (kaz brekker & six of crows stans, I’m looking at u)

haven’t read the books either but yeah i agree with most of what you said! love olivia cooke and maybe the way she played alicent more coldly made sense but we wouldn’t know bc we didn’t get to see any of that development (other than alicents green dress moment in ep 5). alicent is the only character i like on the greens and that’s why i don’t understand ppl who are team green bc pretty much all the ppl surrounding her are terrible people. otto pimped her out to the king pretty much and she’s getting abused by larys and the only person truly loyal to her is criston and who really wants him on their side? but yeah I think the reason nothing happens after she cuts rhaenyra is because viserys’ whole thing was to have goodwill and get along and move on from the conflict and like aemond (who is also the king’s child) literally lost an eye and nothing happened, esp because they’re all royal and they’re all family. with aemond i think he’s interesting in that he went out and claimed vhagar and seems to take studying and training seriously, but also in ep 7 he seemed like he was trying to be nice to jace and even in ep 6 he was more sympathetic because he was being made fun of and stuff but as soon as he claimed vhagar he was completely different and awful to the baela, I think he said ‘maybe your cousins can find you a pig to ride, it would suit you’ and baela hit him (or tried to?) and he hit back. the cruelty of his words and actions was surprising and sudden and I guess it could be showing how quickly power got to his head? Similar to aegon not wanting to be king until he heard the cheers. It feels like aemond is very hellbent on vengeance and also never feeling weak again. but i don’t blame alicent for kind of going crazy in ep 7 and attacking with the dagger, I think for her, someone who’s followed what she was told to do for her whole life and been miserable, it’s hard to see someone constantly getting away with things with no consequences and if your husband tells you to have goodwill after your sons eye is cut? I feel like anger is a natural response. And she regretted it instantly because she’s not used to not being in control or doing something that isn’t right and proper. Sorry this is so long! honestly could write way more abt alicent bc he character is v interesting to me with how stuck she is even when she does have power. Also yeah the show tried to make rhaenyra and alicent both likeable and warm but lowkey feel like they did that more with rhaenyra like she’s very clearly the main character we’re meant to like. I guess it’s also because they’re both women and they need some sort of softness/warmth to be likeable
yeah I definitely see what you mean about aemond’s sudden shift too. I actually didn’t dislike him until I met some of his stans on tumblr bc while I think aemond is to blame for the fight he lost his eye in (which is why I have no sympathy that he lost it) and you could even argue that baela is to blame (which id disagree with but it is a fair argument), there’s no way on earth that it’s fair to say jace and luke are to blame when they didn’t hit first, were only defending baela and rhaena, and aemond tried to kill one of them with a brick. but then you get on tumblr with people going “uwu aemond and aegon are sweet lil babies who never did anything wrong.” and it leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.
yeah, I don’t hate all of the greens. I thought adult!alicent was very petty and annoying in some scenes but overall I don’t think she’s evil. and helaena is one of my faves. but the rest of the greens are disgusting r*pists or abusers and I just??? don’t get the support?? and to be absolutely clear, I also hate some people on the blacks like daemon, who I can’t stand at all.

There with you on the middle child-middle of the road opinions lol. Like from the little that we know about B there are some parts I'm interested in and others that I'm dreading, like these new characters.
There was so much time in A to write an arc for Bobby who has been a glorified regular for the past couple of seasons or hen who got one and a half storylines and one was the woman she cheated on her wife with, and buck who was a boyfriend or eddie they could have foreshadowed the trauma a lot earlier, and then they elected to focus on random people? People that the audience is not at all interested in? Because this is a first responder show and not about reporters? Or that creepy r*pist?
And people are supposed to be excited for B? Not surprised at ALL some are done with this!
Please don't ask me how long I've sat on this ask (nearly a month) or how long it took me to find this post because Tumblr literally hates me searching for my own things.
On the bright side, we now have a *little* more information on 5b and it is....all shaping up to look pretty darn good (though anyone outside the firefam calling Bobby "cap" is an immediate Michael Scott "Nope! Don't Like That" reaction). I do think it's going to suffer a bit because people (even the general audience) had such a negative reaction to 5a, but I really feel like 5b is going to pull things together that felt broken because that feeling was intentional.
However, as I said in my original post, my issues with a lot of 5a are things that won't be fixed by 5b because they weren't about the isolated, dark feeling/tone (okay a little bit that, because this is my comfort show and even in stressful, darker times in other seasons we were given SOME comfort and saw characters supporting each other and 5a was missing some of that tonal balance), but were more to do with the balance of characters and how little we got to see of, as you pointed out, the actual first responders, doing the first responding. I mean, Ghost Stories?! What TF was that? We saw the first responders responding to an emergency and then spent the rest of the episode following the case?! And with side characters no less, not even Athena working the case! Because if they wanted to integrate the reporter into the firefam, having her and Athena working together would be a great way to go, and would allow them to maybe address her season 2 actions that they seem to want us to believe Athena has forgotten about and moved on from (which, false. That woman would never). But instead we have half an episode that does not contribute to the overarching storylines of the show in ANY capacity, plus, Lou solved the case entirely on his own anyway, and the reporter's ramblings in Buck's loft did not affect the outcome of the case or the way the actual detective pursued and solved the case.
I AM excited for 5b. I think the potential for us to get some truly amazing stories, especially for Eddie is incredibly high, and I am absolutely vibrating with excitement about all of it. But it won't change 5a still being full of episodes I have no desire to watch at all, or to watch in full because they were too focused on side characters (not you, Ravi, you're an angel and we are HAPPY to have you and hope to learn so much more about you! Muwah!), or played out like some creepy SVU or Criminal Minds episode (sorry not sorry, I can't watch shows like that. The world is horrid enough, I don't need my entertainment to revel in showing the worst, most disturbing things people are capable of).
All this to say, I can totally understand why some people might want to wait for 5b to come out in full, or until they see what others have to say. It wont' be me, I absolutely want to watch live because my brain is just Like That, and like I said, I am truly excited. And I even love most of the arcs other people don't seem to because I really enjoy how 911 tells these adult stories that are dramatic situations, but handled in human ways focusing on growth and healing instead of what the most extreme and dramatic response could be. I like that there are often situations that are hard, and the characters are hurting or unintentionally hurt each other, but the show doesn't paint one of them to be "the bad guy" because real life is like that, real people are like that! They make mistakes and have to apologize, and have to learn to communicate and 911 does it soooo well! 5a may have veered off course a little, but the stuff we DID get that was focused on the firefam was exceptional (Kenneth Choi Emmy when?! Give that man so many awards!), and has set up 5b to be some truly magical storytelling. I'm excited to see it, and hopeful that the backlash from the general audience about the focus on side characters has been noted and we are going to get to see more of our first responders doing their jobs, having cool and interesting rescues, and being a family. And if what Oliver Stark has said is any indication, it's going to be a wild and enjoyable ride!

Unlike last time Hetalia got a new season, the response has not been particularly positive, and I’m seeing a lot of twisted feelings towards the show and the fandom to a point where it seems long time content creators are stepping away from it. I know anyone still active who follows me either are or were fans of Hetalia, so it should be relevant for all y’all.
As a fan who never fell out of the show, I find the response sad though healthy, and even if I know I ghosted you all on tumblr (sorry) because of time constraints and mental health, I still make the occasional CMVs. Fact is, I do not let go of special interests very easily. It seems a lot of you all started watching the show at 10-14 years old, where I myself was a bit older – 17 – and had grown a bit more. Long story short, my Naruto phase was your Hetalia phase, and no, it’s not pretty. You’re young and stupid and don’t know much critical thinking and make mistakes, and you have to forgive yourself for those mistakes, especially when the content you consume is associated with the real world in a sensitive subject.
But after seeing all these posts explaining all the bad we see from Hetalia, I wanted to make a post explaining what I learned from it – all the good that can come with a show like this if you stay aware of perspective. I am not excusing all the bad that came with it, for WWII is a serious event in history that should never be forgotten nor made fun of, but here goes:
I went from a ‘war-is-cool’ history buff to one who truly delved in and learned the intricacies of history, being fascinated with the ‘hows’ and the ‘whys’ as well as getting an excuse to look at the histories of nations which I’d never otherwise be interested in, and I know a lot of other people in the fandom did the same. This is how history should be known, as that is how we can truly apply it to the real world.
I learned to separate people from their countries. To give an example that’ll hit close to much of tumblr, when I started Hetalia I hated Americans with a passion because of the road “you” had put the world on, and I considered all y’all dumb and bad as a cause of it. Getting that excuse to take an ACTUAL look at how your nation functioned and what communities truly hid behind the borders, I learned instead that your government is corrupt as shit, your society is rigged against you and you have been forced to stand by and watch as chaos happens. It got applied to the world as a whole, where I considered other nations being as dynamic as my own, with people both good and bad, and the actions of the nation is even less of a reflection of the people in the cases of corrupt democracies or dictatorships.
I separated from Colonial world views. I was never actively racist, brought up in a proper home, and already before Hetalia I fiercely protected the rights of Muslims who are often mistreated in my nation and tried to hear them out when possible. But I was a Westerner, and even if the nation I came from had barely participated in invasions, I had learned to consider my culture ‘correct’ and native and African cultures ‘primitive’. While the journey was long, a step wise process of realizing things like there was nothing inherently ethically wrong eating dogs or partially incubated duck eggs, only in how the animals were acquired, that cultural progress is heavily dependent on perspective and that fucking genocide of native peoples still happen in this damn century, Hetalia was the stepping stone which gave me the interest in other nations to expand my world view. I probably ain’t done here – I have a whole life of outside influences to unlearn – but I’m further than most people I know in my near surroundings, and I’ve even managed to move my parents who originally taught me to respect people of all kinds in the first place.
I learned Nazis were people. This is a conversation which often comes up here on tumblr, and the demonization Nazi Germany and its government directly allows actual Nazis and fascists like Richard Spencer a free pass because they look groomed and proper. Until then, I’d simply assumed no one was ‘stupid enough to be a Nazi’ because of the atrocities of WWII and therefore looked at the world naively. Realizing how little true support Nazis had during WWII and similarly anyone could end down that pungent rabbit hole, I became careful of what I excused on social media and allowed myself to doubt seemingly normal people if their behaviour was alarming – such as the police man who is supposed to be a damn ‘hero’ of society.
I learned how to deal with material sensitive to others. A common problem in the fandom has always been the cosplaying and portrayal of Nazis, especially at cons and the like, and in a similar vein – I did blackface once because of Hetalia. The horrible thing about this is that blackface is immensely common in Europe – at least my own country – and blackface frequently happens at schools during ‘international’ events, where whole classrooms are assigned to portray a designated country. A whole of two times – in 6th grade as well as 2nd grade of high school – I was exposed to blackface as my class was given an African nation to portray – Somalia the first time, Kenya the second. No one, adult, teen or child, are aware of the history of race imitation in my country, but by the second time I was supposed to participate in dressing up as an African tribe, I’d understood the issue – thanks to Hetalia. My friend group of white, privileged, European teens discussed what symbolism was appropriate at cons or in videos – could we wear the Iron Cross? The Nazi flag? What if we burned it during the video? These thoughts are not usually a part of the mind of European youth, and I consider that a grave problem which leads to people making fun of ‘triggers’, downplaying racial issues and the like.
It offered me a means to make history personal. The biggest struggle for good history teachers and the reason we are often made to read and write letters from the periods we study is to make it seem real and get a emotional connection to these past, lost peoples. Hetalia offered puppets for me to place into historical contexts to make them truly real – the main driver pushing me away from mere fascination of war, since I suddenly felt the horrors of warfare through the characters that I loved. Things like Elizabeth I’s court, the conquests of Rome, the dissolution of the Kalmar Union, the battlefield of Somme, the invasion of America, damn slavery becomes different when something you already know is a part of it and you can see them in there. Hearing of people of the past should in itself be enough, and for the closest parts of history (WWII and afterwards) it always was for me, but we are human. We cannot understand the size of a billion, and we struggle understanding the lives of those living centuries before us, unless we are offered context.
I’m not blind to the issues of the fandom or the show. I was here for ‘the r*pist, the pervert and the p*dophile’, I know of South Korean and Chinese issues with the show, and I heard the gassing joke in the show’s dub and got nauseous from discomfort and anger. I’ve always been in the fringe of the fandom due to my social disabilities, so I don’t know everything that happened, but I’ve seen many racist OCs and disrespecting of historical sites. It’s not pretty, but I will believe these people, who were likely young, likely learned in time. And I may have been able to learn these things by other means, but not in the same way, and not through personal interest and research that’s helped me become sceptical and analysing of the world around me.
At its core, Hetalia is about watching a normal, nerdy guy learn how to draw, using stereotypic country personifications mainly from the perspective of Japan. It’s natural he chooses Japan, since he’s Japanese, and WWII is unfortunately the automatic historical event for most common people to focus on – but Hetalia doesn’t even solely focus on that, but is an amalgamation of vaguely correct historical situations played out by the characters, and often it is with the intent of comedy rather than the grimness often associated with historical settings which allows a wider audience than merely history nerds.
What I want you all to do is learn from your mistakes and forgive your younger selves for not knowing better. Maybe reflect on what you got from the show, rather than what you lost. A new generation of young Hetalians is likely coming with the new season, and us old timers might be able to help them avoid pitfalls if we stay around to teach them. The best of the show is compassion towards the people of the world combined and love of history, as I believe Hima wanted it – the worst is Nazi apologetics and racial stereotyping. We decide in what direction we take it, and what lessons we bring into the future.
TL;DR: As a lot of media intended for older audiences, Hetalia is a show which has to be watched critically, which makes it dangerous for young people to watch unhinged, but it also opens up for interest in the world beyond the borders you live within. We should be aware of the issues and learn from them, but in and of itself the show has a lot of good to offer in learning compassion for other nations and cultural groups.

Tri-State Haikyuu Project
Tumblr media
Today I am launching a brand new instagram and Tumblr page under the title "Tri-State Haikyuu ". I have been a Haikyuu fan for approximately 7 and never had the confidence to cosplay from it because I didn't know anyone else who did and I wished for a very long time that I knew other Haikyuu cosplayers so we could cosplay together. Cut to a little over a year ago, I met my friend Wen. Wen and I met through another cosplay group and they invited me to be part of their Boku no Hero Academia panel at CPAC, it wasn't until after the panel though that I found out our mutual love of anime volleyball boys. This immediately pushed me to buy my first Haikyuu cosplay, Sugawara Koushi, that I wore to Anime North 2019 and I met several other fans of the anime and it pushed me to further seek cosplayers and fans who love this show and manga. The more I ingrain myself into this fandom, the more I hear others who share that same sentiment that I had before I met a Haikyuu cosplayer in person.
The idea behind this new initiative is to be a central hub of information for cosplayers and fans of Haikyuu who live in the states New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the adjacent areas. Not only will I be sharing cosplayers who live in this area on the instagram, I will also use the page to take submissions (by email, dm, or Tumblr submission box) to highlight panels, photoshoots and meetups happening within those areas. This is widely based on the homestuck "NYCSTUCKS" page from times passed in which they had one single page where everyone wanting to find information could do so.
For Cosplayers who wish to be spotlighted:
1- Follow @ tri_state_haikyuu (yes, I will be checking to ensure everyone gets their fair turn)
2- Then tag the page on your post where you're in Haikyuu cosplay. Anywhere on the photo is fine, example ->
Tumblr media
Casual cosplay is fine so long as the character is recognizable but I will ask that the camera quality is 1080p (so iPhone quality at least). Selfies are also okay and also tiktok videos!
For Event Organizers who wish for their event to be advertised on the page or recruit cosplayers via the page:
Please send a submission to the tri-state-haikyuu Tumblr OR email [email protected] using the following template:
Event Title (Event type) Organizers: @x, @y, etcOpen Recruitment: yes/no [omit this for a meetup or panel advertisement] (If yes) Characters Open: When:  (event date and time (if currently available)) Where: Where is your event going to take place?

Description: This is a canon volleyball uniform outfits only photoshoot, please only contact the organizers if you plan on cosplaying Karasuno's canon highschool volleyball uniforms. We will be hanging out a little bit before and after the photoshoot but from 12-1pm we will be holding a formal paid photoshoot so please dress and act accordingly. The photographer's fee is $25 per person so that is another expense to account for if you wish to attend and please bring money for food afterwards if you want to go to the Kindaichi shopping centre and buy onions with us. Each cosplayer is guaranteed 2 or more stand-alone professionally edited pictures as well as all the group shots. Please contact the organizers for more information.
[Please note that unless an event has my name(@faraohkay) as the organizer I am NOT the person to contact for more information on an event nor am I responsible for that event, I am simply giving the event a spotlight to assist the organizers. However, if I find out that there was any misconduct at an event that I shared, I will no longer be sharing events/panels/photoshoots or the cosplays of those organizers. This means bullying, racism, sexual harassment, etc.
I will also not share panels that are being held at conventions run by Ryan Kopf; This means Liberty City Anime Convention, Anime Midwest, AniMinneapolis, MetaCon, Anime-Zap and C+A+D. Please understand that even if you are fine with going to a Kopf convention, I personally do not wish to support and openly advertise an event run by a r*pist. Note: If you bar black and brown cosplayers from being panelists in your panels or in your photoshoots, please do not even bother submitting to me. This page is for ALL Haikyuu fans. Harassment in the comments will also result in you being blocked, the only game we're playing here is Volleyball.]
Lastly, this is suppose to be a fun page for everyone to make friends, be well informed and be part of the community so let's have fun guys!

(I wanna preface this with a trigger warning for mentions of rape) Hey, I was scrolling through my twitter feed and saw some people being nasty about season 7 (and the cast) but something that stood out to me was the fact that there's a couple of people who are accusing Wish!Hook/Rogers of being a r*pist and accusing him of admitting to it. I'm currently rewatching s7 and was wondering if there was something I missed, either explicitly or implicitly stated 😅
OH MY GOD, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Are these people STILL going on about that shit???
I’m going to fucking rant about this for a bit, so hit the jump. Or don’t.
Okay, refresher for Nonny and those who are new to this ShitShow:
A bunch of people decided to opt out of S7, because Emma Swan was no longer going to be on the show. Now, not watching a show after your fave character/actor leaves it is absolutely understandable. There’s nothing wrong with it. However, hate-watching that show, campaigning for it to be cancelled, attacking the actors, writers, show-runners and crew who are continuing to work on that show or join the show after your fave’s departure... That’s all completely shitty (and absolutely batshit CRAZY) behavior. There is NO excuse for it. Ever.
And that segment of batshit crazy assholes is who we’re talking about here.
Now, most of these motherfuckers haven’t even watched S7. They base their crazy-ass opinions on synopses of the episodes, and heresay from their similarly sanity-impaired friends. So most of the time, it’s useless to counter their rantings with facts and canon interpretations. They’ll simply repeat, “Well, my friend Janet said it, and I believe her.” or some other nonsense.
So. With all of that in mind, Episode 2 of Season 7 re-introduced Wish Hook to viewers and revealed that he was Detective Rogers, set up Emma as his “savior” as a respectful nod to the idea of every Hook being “destined” to be saved by Emma Swan, and also established his primary and singular drive as a character - reuniting with his daughter. THOSE were the main points of the episode.
However, the fuckwits I spoke about above decided to focus, not on any of the important aspects of the episode, but on his cockamamie plot to score a True Love’s Kiss from Emma in order to cure his poisoned heart. The plot entailed using magic to de-age himself, returning to Storybrooke with Regina, getting a kiss from Emma to cure said heart, then returning to his own Enchanted Forest to reunite with Alice. It is this last part that the nutters refuse to believe. They prefer to believe that Hook intended to stay in Storybrooke, take over OG Hook’s entire life, and in so doing - engage in sex with Emma under the pretense that he is “her” Killian. And that is where the rape claim comes in.
Now, for those of us who actually watched the show, it’s painfully (and embarrassingly, for those nutters) obvious that Wish Hook would never have stayed in Storybrooke for even a second longer than necessary after curing his heart (or finding that his plot didn’t work). His entire impetus as a character was to reunite with Alice, his daughter. Remaining in Storybrooke, a realm far away from where his daughter even IS, and maintaining the charade of being someone else, someone without said daughter, and bothering to keep up that pretense... doesn’t suit his character’s main goals whatsoever. It’s ludicrous to think he would. It’s literally insane and one has to be awfully dedicated to besmirching the show and the character to even maintain it.
And yet, they do. Their ONE “ace in the hole” is that they managed to get one of the writers (Adam Horowitz, I believe) to answer a question about what Wish Hook intended to do with his plan with an admission that Wish Hook intended to take over Hook’s life. Now, I’m gonna come right out and say it: That answer, regardless of who it came from, also doesn’t fit the narrative of S7 or Wish Hook’s main drives as a character. And I’m also gonna say that sometimes even the people who should know best about a show don’t... and also, sometimes people mis-speak or are trying to emphasize one thing (in this case, how “bad” Hook was going to be to get what he wanted, and how “in need” he was of Emma’s saving him and setting him right) instead of the more important thing (that these fuckers had no interest in Wish Hook’s redemption and only wanted to bait Adam into saying something they could use as “proof” of their claims).
But regardless, it’s the ONE thing they have to “back up” their insanity, and they use the fuck out of it. Mind you, these same people will summarily throw out any and all claims that there wasn’t rape involved or intended there as factually incorrect, regardless of where they come from. Instead, they will simply trot out that ONE well-worn screencap yet again and insist, as always, that they are right and Everyone Else is wrong.
So... Long story short, it’s absolute apeshit, and the people who argue it’s true are so asinine and obsessive that they’re not worth arguing with. You can’t change their minds or make them see sense, because they desperately want to cling to their belief that S7 Is Bad and Wish Hook Is Bad and that they were/are right to boycott, campaign against the show, and attack those who took part in creating it, because it is clearly Bad and does Bad Things. This is also the entire basis of their claims that Wish Hook, Rogers, and S7 itself are “triggering” to them and deeply disturbing. They use this claim to try to essentially erase S7 from existence by complaining whenever the S7 exclusive actors are involved in “Once” events, or whenever S7+ actors refer to S7 events or Wish Hook, himself. Colin has even been directly accused by these assholes of “approving” of rape and being “insensitive” to his fans by wearing clothing he got from Rogers’ wardrobe to conventions. It’s absolutely batshit, toxic, and rude.
I suspect this is all rearing its ugly head yet again because Jen is scheduled to appear at Enchanted 3, and some of these crazies (who are all Jen fans, incidentally) are already trying to get Starfury to not invite anyone who exclusively starred in S7. Which, considering the only other announced star is Tiera Skovbye, I sincerely wish them all the luck in the world with XD But regardless, the SANE fans are all pretty much telling them, “Hey, what? That’s rude? Why are you being a dick?” and I’m assuming the jerks quickly resorted to “but rape is bad!” arguments to derail all the legit complaints about their shitty-ass behavior.
SO! My advice to you, Nonny, and to everyone else... is to mute those assholes and not engage with them in any way, shape or form. Like the comments of those poor fools who try, because their hearts are in the right place, even if their brains are doomed to be scrambled by the illogical reaches they’re about to be subjected to. It’s good to show support for the sensible people in our fandom(s). But I don’t recommend actually engaging with them, yourself. They’re hateful, toxic people... and your entire life will be better off for steering clear of them. Also, there’s only about 10-20 of them in their entirety, so once you weed them out and mute them, it’s like they don’t even exist.
And, hopefully, if they’re ignored by enough people for a long enough time, they’ll move on to something else. I guess that hasn’t happened yet, but here’s hoping it happens eventually. If not for our sake, then for Jen’s. I can’t imagine getting a reputation for having fans who literally harass and stalk her co-stars, employers and even people who simply continue to work on a project after she voluntarily leaves it will actually help her career at all.
Don’t get me wrong here, working with Jen on Once was a huge step up for Colin’s career... but the crazies in her fandom are literally following him into his next projects, naysaying them, criticizing and insulting him, attacking his fans for supporting him and his projects, and insisting that nothing Colin does will ever be as good as the work he did with Jen... and that’s just fucking NUTS. And it’s not limited to Colin. Remember the fervor when Josh Dallas dared to call another actress his “Tv Daughter”? Yeah, that was charming. If this keeps up, it won’t be long before Jen’s earning herself a reputation for being “lovely to work with, but comes with a cloud of toxic fans who will make her co-stars sorry they worked with her for YEARS afterwards.” And, I mean, color me weird if you want to, but I think that’s generally NOT a good plan.

Who's your favorite(s) besides Hiruma? And least favorite if you want
I’ll get least faves out of the way first. Apollo is up there, he’s literally just Trump in manga form. Selfish racist egotistical piece of shit that literally exists so we can watch what happens when Hiruma wants to utterly destroy someone with top-tier trolling.
But tbh Agon probably wins out for the sheer fact that Trum– I mean Apollo actually has a visible change of heart. Most that happens with Agon is that he feels slightly bad for making his brother cry, and realizes he might actually have fun playing football. But I mean… You know all those headlines of football players becoming r*pists and getting away with it because the schools don’t want to lose a star player? If it weren’t for Unsui and Hiruma keeping him in check, he’d probably already be a serial r*pist and/or murderer, if not by the time he goes to college. Kudos to the writers for making a legit terrifying villain, because he’s a pretty accurate representation of what happens when young athletes who are worshipped for their talents end up too far up their own asses.
/deep breath
My second fave though is definitely Raimon/Monta. He’s fucking hilarious, but more than that he’s so passionate and driven. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and sometimes slips up because of it (re: almost getting the Devil Bats disqualified from the Kanto tournament, and getting into a fist-fight with Sena over Honjou’s glove), but he still learns from his mistakes. He’s constantly striving to improve himself. And he’s SO damn supportive of Sena; Even when Sena’s feeling crippled by doubt and anxiety, Monta is encouraging him while also giving him a firm nudge in the right direction. He’s a fucking bro.
My third fave is probably Riku. Usually the whole ‘Friend/sibling figure to the main character’ type turns into the ‘Bitter rival corrupted by jealousy’ type, but..that never happens with Riku. He wants to view Sena as an opponent, sure, but even the brief time he tries to decide “That’s it, we’re enemies” doesn’t last long because he values Sena’s friendship too much. He mostly just wants Sena to hurry up and grow a pair and take football seriously. He’s a good boy with a genuinely good heart, and in spite of his tendencies to get cocky or over-emotional, he strives to be the best he can be, for the sake of his team.

"#I support pretty characters as long as they are not r*pists"
Cersei r*ped Taena, Daenerys r*ped Irri and Daemon (who's ugly af) groomed Rhaenyra, so by your logic you should stop stanning at least three of these characters lmao
first of all — what happened between Irri and Dany was arranged all by viserys, second of all — WTF SHES A THIRTEEN (or 17 in the show) years old childbride, she literally had zero choice in her position, how can u call her a rvpist?
second of all Daemon didn’t touch Rhaenyra until she turned of age by modern standards in both books (whatever version u choose to believe) & show (where nyra was aged up). also how could he groom her if he wasn’t around most of the time? due bluetooth?
Tumblr media
+ he was in stepstones most of the time
with cersei — I’m talking about show version only because I haven’t finished the books but judging from what I’ve found on the internet Cersei was trying to take “male” role by her judgement and Taena enjoyed it
Tumblr media
also stop calling matt smith ugly lmao, he played daemon well and he was one of the most popular characters soo…stay mad
