And today, with the Elnaz Rekabi case, another extremely emotional component has been added to this new crisis. As a big sports fan, of climbing (through Ninja Warrior by proxy) too, it is incredibly sobering what’s happening right now. The world has got more teeth in recent years, and the false security of prosperity and democracy has become so incredibly thin.
