Israel discusses future Gaza governance with international partners
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant outlined proposals for the future governance of the Gaza Strip after the end of the Israel-Hamas war.
Gallant stated that Palestinian rule over the territory would be limited. Hamas would no longer control the Gaza Strip, with Israel retaining overall security control, he added.
“Hamas will not govern Gaza, Israel will not govern Gaza’s civilians. Gaza residents are Palestinian, therefore Palestinian bodies will be in charge, with the condition that there will be no hostile actions or threats against the State of Israel.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the role of the Palestinian Authority, which exercises limited rule, while Gallant did not provide details on what Palestinian governance would look like.
The entity controlling the territory will build on the capabilities of the existing administrative mechanism [civil committees] in Gaza – local non-hostile actors.

Nothing surprising abt the preliminary ICJ ruling which calls Israel to avoid Doing A Genocide(TM) and to send more humanitarian aid, which Israel will respond with "already doing that, thanks" and move on. BUT, the delicious addition of the court, which I am 10000% for and am thrilled with, was the request to prosecute public calls for genocide. Cant wait to see the subhumans in our govt whine and squirm abt that jhbfjhbfkwjqeh

Israel warns of “multi-front” war, amid escalation in region
Israel’s army is waging a “multi-front war,” the country’s defence minister said, hinting at military operations across the Middle East as the military conflict in Gaza showed new signs of dangerous regional escalation.
In a speech to parliament on Tuesday, Yoav Gallant said Israel is “under attack from seven theatres”: Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Judea and Samaria [the Israeli term for the West Bank], Iraq, Yemen and Iran.” He told the Knesset, without specifying:
“We have already responded and taken action in six of these theatres.”
Since Hamas attacked southern Israel on 7 October and took 240 people hostage, Israel has launched regular airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The war has claimed the lives of some 1,200 Israelis and more than 20,600 Palestinians, while 85 per cent of the Palestinian territory’s 2.3 million residents have been displaced.

omg... just sent my resignation of membership to the political party i've been a member of for more than 8 years. a third of my life. i've spent countless hours volunteering for them on the board of my hometown chapter and during election campaigns; some of my partymates are basically family. but the party on a national basis have been eerily silent on palestine. the national leader wrote a long bullshitty op-ed titled "the palestinians are suffering, the jews are suffering" in which she refused to take a stance and failed to distinguish between jews and zionists. and also spent more time condemning the crimes of hamas than the crimes of israel.
i have considered leaving the party many times over the years. the fact that they can't take a firm stance on a genocide makes it abundantly clear that i don't belong here. fucking sucks, man. im not sure where i go from here.

Something something Jacob and Esau parallels.
In biblical times Jacob, Abraham's grandson, became known as "Israel" through Years Of Redemption but was for the first part of his life kind of a tool. He was born clinging to his twin brother Esau's heel, much like baby AFO is grabbing onto Yoichi here. (Not sure who's older since AFO is called "older brother" but Yoichi literally means "First son". If we take the First Son interpretation, the parallels with Esau continue.) For that reason he was named Jacob, which means "Heel" or "may God protect" OR "ASSAILANT".
Like AFO sucking the life out of Yoichi and his mother, Jacob grew up jealous of Esau and wanted to take all that he had - and he did. Through tricking Esau, he got Esau's birthright. And by tricking his aging, blind dad, he got his dad's blessing for the firstborn, which his dad was not able to regive to Esau when he asked. Both the most important things a firstborn child could have in those times.
Idk where this is going but it's a cool parallel.

Dude as a long time sonic fan seeing the news that Keanu reeves is set to play Shadow in STH3 I’m beyond pissed and think we should protest. I don’t care if it gets the movie delayed. It’s not 100% confirmed but being heavily rumored around sites like IGN and Variety and other media platforms. Keanu Reeves is a well known Zionist, and considering everything going down in Palestine and Gaza right now I think it’s important that we keep this information relevant and that we don’t give people endorsing genocide a platform. Especially celebrities.

NETANYAHU DECLARES ISRAELI ENTITY WILL CONTROL THE SECURITY SITUATION IN GAZA
The notoriously criminal Prime Minister of "Israel", Benjamin Netanyahu, declared Sunday that the Israeli occupation must have "security control and ultimate security responsibility" over the entirety of the Gaza Strip, and claimed that an Israeli victory is "within reach," according to Israeli media.
Speaking with several government ministers at the Yahalom special engineering unit base located in Julis, a traditionally Druze village in the north of occupied Palestine, Netanyahu said victory was "within reach," and although it would take time, it would not take years to accomplish.
"It is a difficult battle, but a battle in which we are winning, for the demilitarization of the Strip,” Netanyahu told the government ministers.
Speaking to the ministers about his conversations with U.S. President Joe Biden, another war criminal, Netanyahu claimed that an Israeli victory would require "our security control and ultimate security responsibility – over the entire area west of Jordan, including the Gaza Strip.”
"There is no substitute,” Netanyahu continued. “That is, there will always be Israeli security control, and if it requires our presence inside, then there will be a presence inside, and if it requires us going in anywhere, as the IDF is capable of arriving anywhere, at any time, this was stated here and will be maintained in the future.”
Netanyahu further acknowledged heavy foreign pressure on the Prime Minister, but that maintaining unity is a crucial aspect to the war, and added that he will arrange further meetings to address the security situation on the border with Lebanon.
