After Lula was heavily criticized by brazilian media for comparing what's happening to the gazans to what happened to the jews (disclaimer: i am talking about what rhe state of israel is doing and yes there's Jews saying the same thing, that it reminds them of the Holocaust), he stood strong in the opinion that's a genocide by saying "they're killing women and kids, there's thousand of dead and missing kids. If this isn't a genocide I don't know what a genocide is" and defended a two-state solution so Israel and Palestine can live in harmony

Lula has decided to take Israel to the haias tribunal and has been communicating with (verification pending) countries from Africa to make a stronger case against Israel and their human rights violations

Brazil's president, Lula, keeps being considered persona non grata (means he isn't welcomed anymore) at Israel

I hate copyright laws in relation to big companies soo much. It's a pathetic predatory market made to keep the means of poduction in the hands of few.

That's to say that the company responsable for Peppa Pig is processing an old lady (who didn't even had high education nor new about copyright law to begin with) because she sold in her handmade Peppa things in her small inline store (that she made to sustain herself after losing her job). They are suing her for 20 thousand reais wich means nothing monetarialy for them but will financially break this woman forever, she'll likely never be abble to pay this up. And like you can't seriusly convince me, that a brazilian old lady with her small store that only got kinda famous besides very very locally because of the lawsuit represented ANY actual loss to the company. They do this stuff because they can, because it helps to scare other small irrelevant local shops and so upheld the system, because fucks over the artisan class.

She already had to pay 5 thousand reais because of "hedonic damage" and while hopefully not the 20 thousand she was ruled guilty and a "threat to the company" (the justicy system is a joke).

It recently came to light that an 11 year old girl was pregnant due to rape here in Brazil. When the mother discovered, she took her daughter to the hospital to get an abortion, because, by law, if a child gets pregnant due to rape, they are legally allowed to get an abortion. But the hospital didn’t want to do it cause according to them, she was already 22 weeks pregnant, and they could only do it until 20 weeks.

So they went to court. Now, the fucking judge and the prosecuter are trying to make this 11 year old child KEEP the baby. She told the girl things like “just keep it in for a few more weeks so it has a chance to live”. When asked if she wanted to name the baby, the girl said no. When asked if the baby kept her from studying, the girl said yes. The judge had the fucking audacity to ask her “do you think the father would agree to put it up for adoption?” which the girl replied “i don’t know”. The girl was put away in a shelter, away from her own mother who’s very desperate, to be kept from getting an abortion. The mother just wants her daughter by her side to care for her, cause the girl has no ideia what’s going on, cause again, SHE. IS. A . CHILD. The judge even had the nerve to say, to both mother and daughter, that if they put the baby for adoption, they torment they are going through will be the happiness of another couple. The prosecuter tried to make them change their minds by saying an abortion would make the baby be out on the womb in pain, and cry and they would watch it die, but this fucking idiot didn’t know that when an abortion is done, the baby’s heart beats have already stopped when it comes out. They’re saying they can’t let her have an abortion cause it would be homocide. I have no fucking words.

Doctors have already confirmed that because of her age, the girl is at a lot of health risks like - anemia, pre-eclampsya, hemorrage, and at a worst scenario, histeryoctome. But no, justice refuses to allow the abortion, instead wanting for her to wait a few weeks to have an induced birth (which again could cause her a lot of risk) so the baby can be put up for adoption. They have even proof that children between 10-15 years at 4 times more risk of dying if the birth happens. Psychologists who apparently have been in contact with the girl affirm her wish of terminating it.

I’m gonna link the article where I took all this information from and I beg of, at least brazilians, to read it. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and if we keep this govnermeant, it won’t be the last.

“Pro-lifers” do NOT care about children. They don’t care about life. They care about themselves. The choice to have an abortion is a choice that belongs to the one carrying the baby and to them ONLY. No one should be allowed to interfere, ESPECIALLY when we’re talking about a motherfucking child. This girl already went through one of the most traumatising events, and now she’s being forced to hold a child she does not want, because some people care more about an unborn being than her own life.

Enough is fucking enough.

This is the reason I made this post (tumblr didn't let me put the video on the reblog for some reason) and I would say I'm on a loss of words but all brazilians truly know this is not farfetched at all, any brazilian that had gone to Portugal or any other European country that I know had stated they suffered the same, and everytime we are expected to smile and treat it as normal, that it happens. We need to accept being treated like rats by then. But I won't fucking accept it.

I want all people that think brazilians are plagues invading your country a very big fuck you, I'm not a dirty rat, my people are not things you can step on and treat like trash! But hey, they better start getting quiet because my people are going to speak, we aren't pigs, we aren't rats.

Here's some translation of what that woman said, I was going to translate everything but I'm not that good so will translate the highlights.

Portuguese woman: "you can film all you want! You can put it on the internet!"

Brazilian woman: "I'm gonna put (on the internet)"

Portuguese woman: " you can put, look at my little face you can put" *slaps her own face in sacrams*

Brazilian woman: " I'm going put on the journal as well, I gonna process you"

Portuguese woman starts to go away with two other woman: "you pig! Go back to your land you pig!" (She says something I couldn't understand) "I'm Portuguese of race! (I'm pure Portuguese race could fit it too) "I am pure Portuguese race! You that is brazilian can go back to your land! You're invading Portugal! That race of (I couldn't understand what she said but must be pigs again or something else like vagabonds)

Brazilian woman shocked: "this can't be possible..."

Some of it I couldn't understand that well but overall she made her statements very loud and clear to all. There's even more videos online of brazilians suffering those attacks not only in Portugal but France, Italy, Spain etc I hope this doesn't go unseen AGAIN by everyone because we brazilians are tired, not even just us all of Latin America are tired of being mistreated like that. And I'm not even putting my finger on the worst, there's even more that happens and goes unseen.

So, in Brazilian feminism and technology news, the Chamber of Deputies has approved a bill that criminalizes the creation and sharing of nude images and videos created by artificial intelligence.

The text, authored by deputy Erika Kokay (Workers' Party) and reported by deputy Luisa Canziani (Social Democratic Party), sets a penalty of 1 to 4 years in prison, in addition to a fine, for anyone who creates or disseminates “montages or modifications that aim to include a person in a nude scene or sexual act, including the use of artificial intelligence in video, audio or photography."

The bill now heads to the Senate.
