Guzheng looks like this, it was made in the Qin dynasty by a general. It’s had 21 strings and you use nails that are made out off plastic, resin, tortoiseshell, or ivory to pluck the strings. The strings are made out of steel strings flat wound with nylon.

You didn't play often, you found it a bit extra when you played. Knowing it was such a hard instrument to play, you hated the attention it gave you when you played it. Qin knew this, but he adores it so much when you play. He'll often try and say he had a bad day, or that he needs a stress reliver. And of course, you can't say no to this man. Since he had coaxed you into playing for him, he made sure you both were secluded and comfy.

He plopped down on the shared bed, the pitcher of wine crowding the table next to bed. You set the guzheng up, sitting on the bench that accompanied it. You took a deep breath before popping your fingers and placing them gently on the strings. Your eyes closed as your fingers danced across the strings. The melody filled the spacious room, Qin's fingers tapped along his thigh with it.

Your fingers moved on their own, plucking the strings and sending beautiful music out in the air. Once you had finished, you sighed contently. Soft clapping filled the silence as you turned on the bench to face your husband. His smile was never wider as he clapped. Almost like a proud father, he stood from the bed, holding his arms out to you.

"That was lovely, Dear! You'll play more often for me?"

He gently caressed your hand, bringing it to his lips and kissing it.

Lu Bu never really knew you played. He knew you had hobbies and stuff, but never really paid that close attention. When he would go train for extended periods, you'd stay home and practice. Same when he would watch the legions of people that followed him train. One day he been gone for a while with his horse, so you took the time to set up the guzheng outside. It was a beautiful day afterall.

You had no clue when your husband would be back, his schedule was too erratic in your opinion. But you knew he was safe, that's why you married him in the first place. Well, first it was his personality. The way he held himself so high made you admire him. If he was by himself, you knew no one would even dare to challenge him.

As you finished setting up the instrument, you were quick to sit down in the bright grass Infront of it. You bit your lip and closed your eyes. A strong gust of breath left our lungs as you opened your eyes again. Your fingers pranced over the strings like tiny ballerinas, sending beautiful melodies into the sky. You lost yourself in the music, moving your hands across the instrument delicately.

Little did you know that Lu Bu and his general, Chen Gong were on the way back. Lu Bu was picking his teeth with his pinky and Chen talked on and on about something that the champion didn't care for. The noise of the guzheng reached the ears of the men, a smirk appeared on Lu Bu's face. They approached the yard you were playing in, watching you from afar. The Champion put his hands on his hips, taking a deep breath in with a smile.

"Ahaha! That's my wife/husband right there!"

He just didn’t expect to meet a deity this early.

Lü Bu was just kinda smacked on the head by your falling figure when he had been training tirelessly on the mountains one day. He was trying so hard to suppress his laugh as he had helped you get up, in a very uncharacteristically gentle way.

No one else was around to see that side, lucky him.

Once you had explained your situation and your status as a deity, it finally made sense to him now.

Straight up just gives you a very toothy smile and just sorta praises you for being so against your fellow deities. Doing shit like that makes you okay in his book, be your own strong self. Achieve and grow.

Lü Bu, whom will not admit it, likes people who can be so strong in a way that they will not let others disrespect them.

Though in your good-hearted nature and faith, you always wanted to make sure each and every person—be it mortal or immortal—was okay and treated.

So it goes the same for this man too, despite his protests.

Just catches people, especially Chen Gong who is initially adept to keeping an eye on his general—off guard when Lü Bu holds concerns for his people… in a way that is completely unexpected.

The men who followed Chen Gong, the military general, were covered in sweat. But Lu Bu didn't seem to be phased. He continued to train and train, even though he knew no one was stronger than him.

You glanced at the sun, assuming it was around 2 in the afternoon. A sweet thought popped in your mind.

"Supper for the men.. they work so hard afterall"

And with that mindset, and a stubborn heart, you got to work. You'd take a breather here and there, going to the window to check on the men. Hours passed and you had managed to fix a feast for the men. You set each dish out, filling pitchers of water to set out.

You'd never ask for anything in return, these men protected you and your country! This was the least you could do for them. After you made pitchers of water, you walked into the field. Lu Bu's eyes caught you as soon as you left the house. His signature smile plastered his face. That was what attracted you to him, of course other than his extravagant personality. He hopped off of the Red Mare, quick to meet you.

"There's my wife! What're you doin' out here?"

Before you could even get a sentence out, Chen Gong was already running over to you two. He was drenched in sweat, huffing for air.

"M-My Liege, my l-lady.. phew.."

You watched with a smirk as he caught his breath, turning to your husband once again.

"Dear, Let the men have the rest of the day off.. I have a surprise."

Lu Bu raised an eyebrow to you before doing as told. He yelled out to the men, them stopping and asking his thanks.

Lu Bu and Chen followed you towards the front lawn of the house, the rest of the men dragging behind. As they walked, the scent of freshly made food filled their lungs. Chatter echoed through the crowd, asking what the smell was. Once they reached the area, they saw all the food you had prepared. Lu Bu's eyes widened at how much food you had prepared in such little time. You smiled gently at the men, bowing in appreciation.

"Take this as my gratitude, for all you men do."

All were in shock at first but quickly and diligently lined up, fixing their own plates. After they made plates, they would quickly thank you before running off to eat the food. Once you yourself got some food, it was all gone. Which you were so thankful for, as no need to clean up leftovers. Most of the men were talking with each other as they ate, you and Lu Bu watching over them. He hung a strong arm around you, sighing contently.
