LAST TIME ON GODZILLA VS THE MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: MORE MONSTER FIGHTS because that’s what we’re here for.  Featuring Ghidorah and a freshly freed from prison Tommy!  It’s time for the Godzilla vs the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #5, the finale of this miniseries!
- just want to say right off the bat this book gave me so much more Goldar/Scorpina crumbs than I was ever expecting.  Thanks guys for recognizing true love
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- [walks up to a man and woman holding hands on the street] so which is the armored flying gorilla and which is the demonic scorpion creature
Tumblr media
- wow i love remembering a time when Tommy was actually like.  respected.  and not treated like someone who needed to be humbled all the damn time
Tumblr media
- sorry Ghidorah if this looks gay to the viewers
Tumblr media
- THE MEGA DRAGONZORD MODEEEEE this book is giving in so many ways.  This mode is so goofy and I adore it
Tumblr media
- EAT SHIT GHIDORAH
- also just want to emphasize again that the art in this book is spectacular
Tumblr media
- disappointed that ultimately there was no Rodan but Kim being the one to say “I thought we were friends” to the rampaging monster lends to my concept of her wanting to bond with a kaiju.  so in the end I still win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- this is so fucking funny honestly the MMPRs thought they’d get their end-of-crossover bonding moment but when it’s clear Godzilla still wants to beat their asses they’re like WELP TIME TO BAIL
Tumblr media
- Godzilla always gets the last word because he’s that bitch
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- okay be honest did you expect acknowledgement of other PR seasons in the MMPR/Godzilla crossover of all things.  Also Drakkon cameo because HE WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS
- as for the different Godzillas I’m 99% sure they’re (clockwise from top) Showa, 2001, and Heisei.  I thought 2001 might be Millennium at first but he doesn’t have his bitchin purple spines

Power Rangers Megazord Event A New Zord for the Squad

Note
I noticed in the new trailer they didn't reveal the villain/villains for the team up. I still hope for Goldar, also love that the team up that has Jason but not Tommy is called the ultimate team up.
They really didn’t show much at all. I would love for Goldar to be in it. We can only hope.
Just wait till the next team up Tommy is in. They’ll probably call it a Super Mega Ultimate Team Up.

After a very successful launch of the Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid table top game with last year’s Phase 1 Kickstarter as well as this year’s release, Renegade Game Studios is back to bring more Ranger power to fans of Power Rangers and Tabletop Gamers alike. The second phase Kickstarter, titled Back to the Grid, features less new products than the previous one, but there are some nice bonuses and chances for those who may have missed out on things before.
Back to the Grid New Items:
Included in this Phase for the first time are the Zeo Ranger Pack, Legendary Ranger: Tommy Oliver Pack and Mega Goldar Deluxe Figure as well as the Kickstarter Exclusive Zeo Gold Character Pack.
The Zeo Ranger Pack will include Tommy Oliver/Zeo Ranger V, Adam Park/Zeo Ranger IV, Rocky DeSantos/Zeo Ranger III, Tanya Sloan/Zeo Ranger II, Kat Hillard/Zeo Ranger I miniatures. Each Ranger comes with 10 Combat Cards, a Character Card and a Zord Card. As a bonus in the pack, a Zeo Megazord Card is included. The set is listed as a $40 pledge that includes the Zeo Gold Pack. This set should also be releasing to retail next year but that price is unknown at this time.
The Legendary Ranger: Tommy Oliver Pack includes five different versions of Tommy Oliver with four playable Rangers as well as one Monster. The set includes Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and Mighty Morphin White Ranger which previously appeared in the Kickstarter Phase 1 Deluxe Box but this pack seems to feature new sculpts for both miniatures. The Character and Zord cards shown are the same as the previous release however. Dino Thunder Black Ranger and Turbo Red Ranger are brand-new and include 10 Combat Cards, 1 Character Card and 1 Zord Card each. Interestingly, Turbo Red‘s Zord card is shown as Lightning Cruiser instead of the Red Lightning Turbo Zord. This may mean that Red Lightning could appear later on in another expansion down the road. The final part of this pack is the Evil Robot Tommy Monster. Based on its appearance in the Dimensions in Danger episode of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, the Evil Robot Tommy miniature is packed with 1 Deployment Card and 8 Monster Cards. Just like the Zeo Ranger Pack, this set is a $40 pledge that also includes Zeo Gold Character Pack.
The final retail item that is releasing early via Kickstarter, is the Mega Goldar Deluxe Figure. Much like Phase 1’s Cyclopsis Deluxe Figure, Mega Goldar includes not only the large miniature himself but also a Deployment Card, 6 Component Cards as well as presumably 6 Combat Cards. This allows Mega Goldar to act as a Boss in the game that is Megazord sized. Just like with the previous two items, Mega Goldar is a $40 pledge that also includes the Zeo Gold Character Pack.
After mentioning it three times now, we finally reached the Kickstarter Phase 2 exclusive, the Zeo Gold Character Pack. This pack only available through this campaign includes the Zeo Gold Miniature, 10 Combat Cards, a Double-Sided Character Card featuring Trey of Triforia and Jason Lee Scott (who have different effects), the Pyramidas Zord Card as well as 4 special combat dice. As something that’s included with any of the Pledge tiers, this is certainly a worthy incentive to pick-up items via the campaign.
Several pledge tiers are available including a Zeo Master tier containing all the new items and a Mega Morphin Master tier containing everything from Phase 1 and Phase 2. Also available as add-ons is the Bulk and Skull Character Pack that was previously released at conventions and Renegade Games’ website and the Phase 1 Kickstarter Exclusive Deluxe Box.
The campaign runs from September 17 to October 1, 2019. All items are scheduled to ship in March 2020 worldwide. The funding goal was originally $25,000, however the campaign was successfully funded in less than 10 minutes making this act as an extended pre-order for those wanting to join in.

Rito Revolto arrives on Earth, and introduces the new Tenga Warriors. Bulk and Skull become junior police officers. The Thunderzords are destroyed in battle with Rito. The Rangers are granted Ninja powers by Ninjor, who join them as an ally and take control of the Ninjazords:
Tommy is infused with the power of the White Falcon.
Billy is infused with the power of the Blue Wolf.
Rocky is infused with the power of the Red Ape.
Adam is infused with the power of the Black Frog.
Aisha is infused with the power of the Yellow Bear.

Kimberly has a bad dream about moving to Paris. Meanwhile, Finster creates a device to watch Kimberly's dreams. Then, Zedd sends the Tengas to battle the Rangers. (A Brush with Destiny)
Adam receives a special gift: a paper lantern. Then, Billy and Adam learn of the lantern's powers. But, Lord Zedd has plans of his own when he sends Rito to steal the lantern. (Passing the Lantern)
Rocky joins the faculty at Angel Grove High. This gives Lord Zedd a most diabolical idea. Meanwhile, as Rocky struggles with his new role, the Rangers struggle with the Tengas and a new evil monster that poses more Power Ranger danger. (Wizard for a Day)
It's football season at the evil palace so Lord Zedd creates a special monster to play offense against the Rangers. (Fourth Down and Long)

Rita sends a brainwashed Katherine Hillard to undermine the Rangers. (A Ranger Catastrophe)
Lord Zedd kidnaps Ninjor and seals the Falcon Zord rendering the Ninjazord unusable. Lord Zedd kidnaps Kimberly and steals her Ninja Coin. The Rangers take control of the Shogunzords. (Changing of the Zords)
A crime is committed in broad daylight so Bulk, Skull, and Kimberly take a cab to follow the culprit. But, Lord Zedd makes a few changes and our heroes get the news from Zordon. At the Command Center, the Power Rangers are presented with all new Shark Cycles. (Follow that Cab!)
Katherine Hillard replaces Kimberly (who is heading off to train for the Pan Globals), after being freed from Rita's and Zedd's evil spell and recovering the Pink Ninja Power Coin. (A Different Shade of Pink)
Tommy works up an appetite. And, Rita has a recipe for evil. So, she shrinks the Ravenator and sends him to amplify Tommy's appetite. (Rita's Pita)
Katherine leads her friends in a project to help the homeless. But, Rita and Rito have a project of their own. Then, the Tengas undo the kids work and place Katherine in danger. (Another Brick in the Wall)
The kids make a new friend and Lord Zedd makes a new plan to use the chimp for his own evil purposes. While our heroes battle the Tenga Warriors, Finster tries to turn the little chimp into a monster. But, Lord Zedd finishes the job and his new creature attacks Angel Grove. (A Chimp in Charge)
Master Vile arrives on the Moon, coming up with a plan to conquer the Earth. The Rangers recover the Falcon Zord allowing the Shogunzords to become the Shogun Mega Falconzord. The Rangers rescue Ninjor. The Rangers get the Zeo Crystal from Zedd's Palace. Zordon splits the Zeo Crystal into five pieces and sends each piece into a different time. Cestro is the Blue Aquitian Ranger
Tideus is the Yellow Aquitian Ranger
Corcus is the Black Aquitian Ranger

The kids work on a new device that will help the Alien Rangers. Then, suddenly, Rito and Goldar appear as the Alien Rangers defend their young friends. (The Alien Trap)
Our young heroes receive good news about the Alien Rangers. Meanwhile, at the evil palace, Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa are ecstatic. Then, they devise a plan to turn one bad boy into a monster. (Attack of the 60' Bulk)
The Rangers go to different parts and times of the world to retrieve the different parts of the Zeo Crystal.
The Rangers are about to begin their quest, but at the start of their journey, Cestro begins to dehydrate. Rita and Zedd conspire to keep the Alien Rangers dry and Billy takes action. (Water You Thinking?)

Power Ranger Script VS Final Movie pt 2
Power coins/Suits/Zords:
So according to Zordon, only a Ranger can give a potential Ranger a power coin.  So he’s the first to hand one out.
The power coins are like a black disc that only give out colors once it’s placed into Rangers hand.  Think of electric sparks and waves coming out of their hands.
Zordon gives Jason his red coin.  Jason gives Billy his blue coin.  Billy gives Trini her yellow coin.  Jason gives Zach his PINK coin.  Finally, Billy gives Kimberly her BLACK coin.
Zach didn’t realize he was the Pink Ranger until he morphs for the first time.  He yells at Jason about that….
(From the actual script)
Zach:                  YO WHY’D YOU GIVE ME THE PINK ONE?
Jason:                 I didn’t know, the coins don’t show their color—
Zach:               You and me are gonna have a talk about this one, man!
Zach ends up LOVING that he’s the Pink Ranger once he finds out that he has the only Zord that flies.
(From the actual script)
Zach:                WHAT.  WHAT! WHAT NOW.  WHAT NOW!?  I GOT                THE FLYING ONE!  Pink!  Pink forever!
Last Zach/Pink Ranger bit.  Now, I was okay/intrigued with the Zach embracing the color pink (but for real, a guy liking pink isn’t that big of a fucking deal).  What I didn’t like was that at the very end, after all that, he goes to Kim and straight up tries to switch power coins with her.  I’m like... well that previous scene means nothing now.
Their “powers” are mostly suit based.  From my understanding, they’re normal kids, but the suit enchants them by like 1,000,000%.  For example, Jason is the best at martial arts (due to his training as a kid) and is the best fighter.  After his first fight with the Putties, he does celebratory jumps and flips due to his excitement.
Zach is a football player (not very good at the game though), but due to his football training his suit is slightly larger and he brilliant at tackling/mowing enemies down.  His athleticism allows him to dodge and outrun sniper fire.
Trini is a track runner and is the FASTEST out of all of them.  She can easily get up to 70mph and can often be seen as a yellow blur.  She also has the most focus/concentration out of all of the teens and ends up being the best to pilot/lead the mega zord.
Billy’s suit has a lot more gadgets embedded due to his logical mind and defensive tactics.  His suit is also the only one who can camouflage and blend into his surroundings.
Kimberly due to her brash badass attitude has the largest/strongest suit.  It’s described to have retractable spikes and brass knuckle gloves.  (Kimberly uses brass knuckles earlier in the script when she fight Rita  completely suites to save Trini and Billy) Zords are the same and are located in different parts of the world.  However, they can all instantly teleport in if one Zord calls them to a particular location.
Jason is the 1st one to get the Zord, and when he calls them in, they do mention that the Mastodon is covered in ice, Sabertooth Tiger in Sand, and the Triceratops with Molten Magma.
The Zords drain the body, so the longer they’re piloting them they get weaker.  When they form, the Mega Zord Jason gives Trini the lead b/c she can handle the mental strain better than anyone.  Jason get’s a bit hyped when Trini starts kicking Goldar’s ass.
(From the actual script)
Jason                YEAH! HELL YEAH! BRING IT ON! MY GIRLFRIEND                IS KICKING YOUR-
                                       Trini                I’m CONCENTRATING!
Also, the suits translate the alien language.  For example, Goldar's dialogue to an average person sounds like growls and howls, but to the Rangers, they actually hear the dialogue.
Alright, I’m done.  Until next time, laters!

RANGERS REBORN.
Tumblr media
So good it makes me wanna type away like i used to.
Just got back from my first viewing of the Power Rangers and i’m glad to announce I am very satisfied with what was put on the big screen. Like most movies i didn’t have any crazy expectations for the film, just minor details here and there like the story going its own route to make it different and unique from the original show but still keeping true to its essence.
My only worry for this reincarnation of a great past time from my childhood would be the fact that the old shows (and even first 2 movies) were just so corny, so bad yet so good. Trust me, there are times when i come across clips and what have you, from the old shows that make me cringe when i realized how lame and corny it was. How could they possibly make this movie NOT corny?
Why and how was i so drawn to this kind of entertainment? The power rangers taught me a sense of unity and it was probably what opened my eyes to being a part of and trusting your team (besides the Knicks). My favorite color back then was blue, so naturally Billy was my favorite ranger despite being the total opposite of his personality.
If you’re a true fan, if you were there from the beginning till maybe the 3rd-4th generation of Rangers, and you don’t have high expectations of the new movie, you will probably find yourself feeling so much nostalgia from your childhood and it will open your eyes to how much the first group really made you appreciate the essence of wanting to become a power ranger.
This is as far as I’ll go in regards to not spoiling anything. So if you haven’t seen it yet and plan on seeing it and don’t want me to ruin anything, stop reading here and come back later after you see it. If you don’t care and just want to keep reading because you’re bored, by all means go for it, just don’t say i didn’t warn you.
*SPOILERS*
The fact that they changed the story a little bit was already an indicator that i did the right thing in not wanting to expect anything from the movie that would impress me or even predict. Don't ask me how i remember this, but if i recall, the very first episode of the power rangers season 1 has something to do with a dumpster. Dumpster day or something. I don’t know, i just remember reading it, yes i could (somewhat) read at 5-6 years old. I remember Alpha and Zordon were already established in their ‘Command Center” and sensed Rita Repulsa’s escape from captivity. Want to know how she escaped? Go watch the original ORIGINAL intro of the series and you’ll see astronauts pushing over the lid of a genie stove top releasing the alien witch. The movie has her as a FORMER RANGER, the GREEN RANGER to be exact. Some will think it’s lame, i thought it was cool and acceptable.
Recruiting.
How the movie’s story pits the potential rangers together is a testament to the original series and how Zordon ordered Alpha to recruit “individuals with attitude.” The new teenagers portraying our beloved Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly were all somewhat trouble makers/rebels. All of them rebels in their own right. All of them having something deep inside that could only brought out about themselves through each other, something we could really appreciate with the original rangers.
Morphers?
Remember it’s morphin time? And BOOM, out comes the morphers that EVERYBODY HAD AS A KID, well, almost everybody, and the rangers TRIBEAMED their transformation into rangers and the awesome theme came on and you know shit’s about to go down. I appreciate the fact that they really displayed these ‘rebels’ having a dark side to their personality and using the good inside them to be their source and spark to their armor.  Five strangers becoming friends and willing to do whatever they had to do for the greater good of their town.
The Zeo crystals.
I didn’t realize the importance of the crystals on the show until the Zeo rangers came about (potentially setting up a new franchise). It was referenced on the show numerous times as well. But what granted our rangers their powers were their crystals, or on the show the gold coins with their Zord animals on them.
OH, don’t worry, i’ll get to the Zords. The movie gives us a better perspective of how these teenagers with attitude came about and ‘trained’ as Rangers to defeat Rita. The show pretty much put them in suits and rangers like billy and Kim magically learned martial arts whereas Jason, Trini and Zack were already established martial artists. The new rangers were forced into training by Zordon and even Alpha.
Backstories.
The writers and producers did just enough to cover each character’s lives leading up to their discovery of the power coins crystal things. All well enough for them to be unique and appreciated in their own right. Billy the nerd with some loner/awkward issues who’s father disappeared (passed away perhaps?), Zack being a wild rebel with a sick mother, Jason the star jock athlete with a desire for trouble and a disappointed father, Trini (pronounced Trin-E in the move, not Treen-e like the original show) who jumped schools every year because of you guessed it, being a rebel and then Kimberly, who had personal issues ‘not being a good friend’ i guess? She was a cheerleader also vs. the Kimberly from the 90′s that was a gymnast.
ZORDS.
Again, i’ll reiterate, there were times when I realized the old show was corny as fuck. And yes, the old Zords, while being badass in their own right, were still corny... as fuck. They were literally just remote control toys that were zoomed in on by the camera to make it seem like they were huge robots on TV. HOWEVER. If you were to fuse a real life Gundam wing with a Beast Wars transformer, you’d probably get a Zord from the new movie. The massive robot reference to crushing Bumblebee was very poetic. I’m glad i had a good crowd because they laughed and applauded that. But these new Zords? I’d say they were pretty fuckin awesome. I just personally feel like they made those corny robots toys that were on screen, cool and transformer like. Just again, in their own unique power ranger way.
TRUE ESSENCE.
I mentioned ‘essence’ earlier in this write up and that essence is something that could only be felt if you were part of the beginning. When the original rangers, despite being so cheesy and corny, made you want to be a ranger SO BAD. The concept of the power rangers teaches us the power of unity and what the team could accomplish if they worked together. They struggled to reach the full potential of their powers, almost 2 weeks even (11 days to be exact b/c thats when Alpha calculated Rita could strike). But they did to the expense of Billy who later on was revived by Zordon as Zordon realized it wasn’t his team to lead. Remember when Zordon was about to die in the 1st Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie? the adorably HOT Kimberly at the time said, “You’re like a father to us all.” Zordon guiding the Rangers towards the right direction to reach their potential, and giving Billy the 2nd chance to live showed qualities of just that in being a father like figure to the rangers, something he’s very accustomed to in the show and previous movies. In the old show, there were PLENTY OF TIMES when the rangers “were at their doom” at the hands of Rita and Lord Zed, but they somehow ALWAYS found a way to win.
I’ll give you a perfect example of true essence. When the rangers and their Zords were pushed to the edge and they had to ‘hold the line’? Their struggle vs Goldar. Man... seeing the commercials I KNEW that the Mega Zord was going to be formed and it was going to kick serious ass, but the moments leading up to that they were all ready to die TOGETHER? I’m not gunna lie, i had the same feeling form up in my feels when Woody and Buzz held onto their friends at the end of Toy Story 3 before the claw saved them (shouts to swag surfer). As the cinema Gods as my witness, NO MOVIE has made me feel that way since Toy Story 3, LEGIT, until the new power rangers because I KNEW WHAT THE OUTCOME WAS and yet there i was, sitting on my seat reminding myself, “wow... i haven’t felt this urgent sorrow for ANY GROUP OF CHARACTERS since toy story 3.” And then they fall into the pit and you hear the Zords forming and i get this huge relief and burden lifted off my shoulders and i applaud with the crowd thanking God the tears forming in my eyes didn’t stream out b/c that would've been really embarrassing. But yeah, i’m applauding, the crowd is applauding and Billy has that comic relief line of Mama Zord-Mega Zord and as they try to advance the entire Zord falls over. Well fcuking done. No really, they didn’t just magically download the program to operate a “65 million year old alien robot” in a few seconds to their brains, they actually taught themselves how to operate their respective body part that was formed by their Zord. Again, unity, team work, Power Rangers... WOOOOO!!!!!!
I’m still kind of in shock at how much i actually enjoyed this movie. And i think that’s due to the fact that the crowd i watched the movie with was probably one of the better crowds i had watched a movie with since i got to Washington. Really. The movie culture here isn’t as passionate as what we have in New York but anyway back to the movie.
Alpha 5 said his signature line 2x,the black guy is actually the blue ranger and the asian is the BLACK ranger, both the pink and yellow rangers are cute & hot AF, Rita made her monster grow and said her token line as well. There weren’t any communicators, there wasn’t a bulk or skull even though i think the bully in the movie was supposed to be one of them i’m not too sure. Mid credit scene = Thomas Oliver = Power Rangers 2. Speaking of Tommy, the actor and actress who played they original Tommy and original Kimberly cameos probably had the biggest applause of the movie. Boom. Might be a little too early to bring in Lord Zedd in the 2nd movie, MAYBE hint or reference him like Rita did in regards to the Zeo crystals.
Future?
The Power Rangers have a generation of fans that first started watching and admiring them at such young age that are now PROFESSIONALS, MARRIED AND WITH KIDS. Granted, the series has gone onto bumblefuck abyss because i obviously lost track of where the TV series has gone, that old generation could show their kids what they used to watch, and be like, “That movie that’s out? That’s a remake of the ORIGINAL rangers, the founding fore fathers of what you young maggots are watching now” kind of deal.
I AM PRAYING that this generates enough revenue and popularity that they make a nice, LONG MOVIE SERIES because THERES SO MUCH potential. Maybe something Disney could look into working a deal with Saban b/c there’s just too much to let slip away. You got franchises like Fast and the Furious that’s gone off track from how great it was before the 4th/5th movies, but could somewhat catch up to and pass GI Joe (unless they actually cross over with, wait for it...), and maybe be half as good as the Transformer series (yes, GI Joe and Transformers could crossover, because they have in the comics). I look at transformers and think thats a good goal to strive for, because movie series like James Bond, LOTR, the Matrix, and Star Wars are just at an elite level. Then I see franchises like the Underworld, Resident Evil movies (sorry, i’m just not a fan of them) and Sharknado (IDK how and why people find those movies entertaining), and it gives me hope that the Power Rangers movie reboot could just be the thing we need in the movie industry to keep it interesting unless Japan and Hollywood could work something out to bring Gundam Wing to life.
*CUE BLOG SOUNDTRACK ENDING CREDIT AND MOVIE RATING THEME = VAN HALEN - DREAMS*
ANYWAY. 9/10 Power Rangers. I’m going to see it again. WITHOUT A DOUBT.
Off topic final thought:
Where are my movie junkies at? This is off topic but i know you’d appreciate this. I had a dream... you ready? I had a dream, that Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas all worked together to make an American interpretation of Spirited Away with a movie score composed by Hanz Zimmer. Call me crazy, but i woke up and had mixed emotions about it.

Boys and girls, we have a winner in the reboot genre that seems to be the ongoing m.o. in film studios alike. This is truly how you reboot a…

Prepare for battle!
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid for Nintendo Switch just received a new update. Here are the patch notes from the official website!
Major Improvements
CPU AI has been dramatically improved and a CPU Difficulty setting has been added to the Settings menu.
Lord Drakkon’s Throne Room (Story) and Command Center (Story) are now selectable stages.
CPU Difficulty affects Arcade, Story, and Versus (CPU) modes.
CPU AI now moves around and behaves more naturally.
Presentation Improvements
Camera effects improved on Throws, EX Attacks, Swap Strikes, and Supers.
Visual effect and dramatic super pause added to Super activations (i.e., “pre-flash pause”)
Slight character shake effect added to character attacks (during hitpause).
BGM Mode has been added to the Audio Settings menu, with options of Normal and Random (plays any stage BGM, regardless of stage selected).
Bug Fixes
Inflicting a “Super pause” against an incoming character no longer causes erratic behavior. I.e., performing a Super after KO-ing a character no longer causes the next incoming character to ignore Super pause.
Characters/Megazords
All Characters
Fixed a hitbox interaction issue with MZ Ultra activation (meaty throws versus MZ Ultra no longer causes erratic behavior)
Goldar
Goldar Tackle (Forward Special) total frame count increased from 65 to 73 to address a true infinite combo.
Dragon Armor Trini
Jet Rush (Back Special): DAT now becomes projectile invincible on frame 19, down from 45.
Missile Charge (Forward Special) is now cancelable (on hit or block) into Dragon Pound.
Mega Launch (EX Attack): follow-up blasts are now guaranteed to land regardless of distance.
Trini Megabeam (Neutral Special): fixed an issue that caused DAT’s Megabeam to deal excessive block damage.
Ranger Slayer
Pterotumble Attack (EX Attack): fixed an issue with Ranger Slayer’s facing direction in certain situations (now auto-corrects… correctly).

Cenozoic Blue Ranger
Portal Engine (Super): physics box adjustments to accommodate mid-screen hits.
Cenoball (Assist): durability increased significantly.
Jen Scotts
Fixed an issue where Jen Scotts’s position changed erratically when she’s hit in specific situations.
Standing Medium: hitbox height reduced slightly.
Forecast: Rain (Assist): assist entrance starting position moved forward slightly, making it easier to hit her before she fires her missiles. Assist projectile homing capability reduced slightly.

Crouching Heavy: total damage reduced from 90 to 80. Each hit now applies a point of scaling. Meter gain slightly reduced.
Samurai Fire Detonate reworked
Samurai Symbol Power (Super): damage reduced from 500 to 470.
Hitbox height reduced significantly.
Speed increased significantly.

Players can digitally purchase the new character on PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, Steam or Stadia for $5.99 or the full Season 3 Pass for $14.99, which includes RJ and two additional new characters, along with a bonus character skin that is exclusive to the Season Pass. youtube
Available Today:
New Character: Robert “RJ” James, Jungle Fury Purple Ranger ($5.99) – Courageous as a wolf, Robert “RJ” James joins as the Jungle Fury Rangers’ mentor before revealing that he is the Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger. Originally trained under his father, Master Finn, RJ rejected the Shark Style and instead adopted the wolf spirit for combat. When he is not fighting alongside the Rangers, he runs the Jungle Karma Pizza parlor that also acts as their headquarters.RJ, as the Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger, embodies the Wolf Animal Spirit. His fighting style derives primarily from the traditional Muay Thai style, clearly expressed through his barrage of elbow-and-knees-based attacks. As a momentum-based melee fighter, RJ overwhelms his foes with an oppressive litany of strikes, inevitably breaking their defenses.
New Character Skin: Phantom Beast King skin for Dai Shi (Free with Purchase of Season 3 Pass) – When Jellica freed the Phantom Beast Generals, they turned on her before using their powers to make Dai Shi the Phantom Beast King. With the Phantom Beast Generals and his new power, Dai Shi was able to defeat the Rangers time after time until finally, Jarrod was able to break through Dai Shi’s control and weaken him enough that the protectors were able to destroy the evil spirit once and for all. This skin is exclusive to Season 3 Pass.
New Ultra (Free): Samurai Megazord – We are united! Call up the power of the Samurai Megazord to assist your team in battle.
Megazord Revamp (Free): Megazord Ultra activation conditions have been revamped. Instead of requiring at least one character to be knocked out, you can now activate your Ultra based on the consumption of the Megazord Revenge Meter.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid pits current and classic Power Rangers and villains from the multiverse’s over 25 year history against one another in epic 3v3 tag team battles. The controls promote simplicity and fluidity, enabling beginners to enjoy the combat system and encouraging advanced players to delve into its gameplay mechanics, which include real-time assist takeover, dynamic defense through push blocking and aerial guard, customizable juggle combos, and a unique Megazord comeback mode. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid supports full crossplay across PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. More information is at battleforthegrid.com
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Patch 2.3 Notes
Bug Fixes
[Online] Blocking high attacks no longer forces a standing block state.
Fixed an issue causing inconsistent combo rules when combo-ing a leader swapping out. I.e., “Happy Birthday” combos should work consistently across the board, regardless of enemy assist takeover events.
Megazord Rework
Megazord Gauge
A new Megazord (MZ) gauge has been added, deprecating the old Megazord Ultra activatable condition.
MZ meter is accrued through receiving damage. Amount gained is based on a percentage of your team’s total health pool.
Successful Swap Strikes reduce one bar of enemy MZ meter, with two exceptions: if the Swap Strike KO’s an enemy character or if the enemy has only one character remaining, enemy MZ meter is unaffected. Essentially, you have to successfully swap out their leader in order to reduce their MZ gauge.
This adds counterplay to excess MZ meter gain (e.g., from damaging enemy assists), in addition to an extra layer of resource management.
A common scenario is choosing to let up on a guaranteed kill combo with a Swap Strike. While you give the opponent a chance to recover, you reduce their comeback potential through depleting their MZ gauge.
Megazord Ultra
MZ Ultra activation condition changed to simply having at least two bars of MZ meter.
MZ Ultra depletes your entire MZ meter, with its duration scaling accordingly. I.e., activating with a full meter grants twice the duration of that of activating with two bars.
With the new MZ meter system, it’s possible to activate MZ Ultra more than once per match.
Megazord Counter (New)
Megazords can now be summoned as a counter attack, as a secondary option with the new MZ meter.
To perform, hit Forward + Assist 1 + Assist 2 during block stun (similar to Pushblock timing), with at least one bar of MZ meter
MZ Counter attacks cause a non-comboable wall bounce that deals damage, but cannot KO. MZ Counter attacks are unavailable while your own MZ Ultra is active. However, they are available during the opponent’s MZ Ultra.
Megazord Rebalancing
MZ attacks during MZ Ultra have been improved, raising the power levels across the board. Dino Megazord, Dragonzord, and SPD Megazord should feel as effective as Mega Goldar in terms of utility and comboability.
Dino Megazord
Clearout – functionality reworked to pull enemies in, instead of drag enemies away.
Ultra Power Sword – adjusted juggle hit reactions to improve utility and comboability.
Mega Goldar
Goldia Fist – Slight increase in recovery time.
Dragonzord
Tail Drill – Decreased startup and recovery time, improved comboability.
Imbalancer – Decreased startup time, increased follow-up damage proration.
Tail Slam – Decreased startup and recovery time.
SPD Megazord
Delta Arrest – against grounded enemies, inflicts stagger hit reaction on a successful hit. Against airborne enemies, inflicts a spinning knockdown. Improves comboability and utility.
Delta Sword Taser – decreased overall damage and increased recovery time.
Universal Adjustments
When blocked, EX Attacks are no longer cancelable with MZ Ultra.
MZ Ultra activation now has some amount of startup and vulnerability. I.e., activating MZ Ultra is no longer a get-out-of-jail free card and its advantage on cancel is slightly reduced.
Character health adjustments. These are aimed to improve match pacing in conjunction with the Megazord meter rework.

Dragon Pound now inherits DAT’s jumping momentum, allowing for forward and retreating mobility, depending on the jump it’s canceled from.
Dragon Pound now inflicts a reverse launch state, improving its utility and comboability.

Fixed an issue with DAT’s Mega Beam projectile lingering when canceling with MZ Ultra and Super.
Goldar
Fixed an edge case issue with Giant Leap causing an erroneous throw receive reaction.
Lord Zedd
Fixed an issue with standing medium 2 receiver reaction failing to trigger in certain edge cases.
Anubis Cruger
Crouching light now properly moves Anubis’s position forward, allowing for much more effective “kara throws”.
EX attack stuns victims in place, making the follow-up sequence much more consistent in most cases.
Eric Myers
Fixed an issue that caused Eric’s Quantum Power back throw hitbox to land on the enemy leader, regardless of distance.
Forward throw now applies proper follow-up damage proration.
Airblade startup frame increased to 10, up from 5. Anti-air invincibility startup increased to frame 7, up from frame 1.
Crouching light: reduced hit stun.
