Félix Fathom has invaded my brain and his relationship with Adrien is so interesting to me because like. He steals one of the rings in hopes of not only making his mom happy but also so Gabriel can’t control Adrien anymore. His original plan before meeting Kagami and talking to Marinette for the Diamond Dance was to erase everyone and create a world for just the two of them. He wants him to be happy and genuinely cares about him.

But then sometimes he will say shit like “‘Look at me :( I am so sad and lonely :((’ that’s what you sound like. I act like that when I’m pretending to be you and everyone believes me actually.” Directly to Adrien’s face because that might be his favorite cousin but these two have the biggest Cain Instinct when it comes to each other and I full believe if you gave either of them a cardboard tube, they would not HESITATE to bonk the other with it.

Sorry, but I need to get this off my chest for a second.

Rewatching older episodes after the s5 finale really stings in the sense that this show has never ever even pretended like Chat Noir and Mayura would in the end get out of their partnerships with Ladybug and Hawkmoth okay and by their sides. The way Adrien and Nathalie ended up in the s5 finale and them not making it to the final battle was in every way possible predictable just from both their partnership dynamics alone and their fates were sealed with and by the time of "Kuro Neko"

I don't have it in me anymore to pretend like Chat Noir in Ladynoir and Mayura in Hawkura (?) weren't from the very start til the very end always and consistently human sacrifice coded for Ladybug and Hawkmoth which is exactly what they ended up being so the two heads of the war can brawl it out alone.

I'm not tagging this as salt, this is just objectively what Chat Noir's and Mayura's purposes in the partnerships have always been and there is no going around that. I can't tell you how much I wished that wasn't the case.

so we've established in s4 that chat blanc has really traumatized marinette bc she occasionally has nightmares and flashbacks about it (and bc she's a fucking 14 year old who had to witness the literal end of the world and see her own body decompose in front of her so of course she has trauma)

and chat blanc specifically says to her that "[their] love did this" when explaining what happened, like this is all the context she has, that their love/relationship somehow led up to this shit happening and also that he knows her identity, and that's all i think

which is why as much as i love the reverse love square and how it shows just how desperate and tired these kids are of not having their love reciprocated, how they just revert back to each other when trying to escape one another, and while it makes sense in the "at least i know he loves me and had loved me for a long time and it's always easy with him" way

i'm really fucking confused as to why she picked chat noir as a "safe" option to have a crush on after that

anyway i really hope chat blanc will be brought up again later in the season bc if they just drop it and never speak of it again i will be really really mad

After watching what his mother, and now Nathalie went/is going through, can you imagine how traumatized Adrien must be. I mean, at this point, to hear that anyone he loves is sick or under the weather must make him feel completely panicked. 

I can only imagine if, when they’re older, anytime that Marinette or their kids so much as gets a cold, Adrien would be incredibly doting on and caring for them, bordering on smothering, All to ensure that they get well as soon as possible, that they recover. It just seems like a pattern he is all too familiar with and all too anxious to avoid...

Marinette's Love for Chat Noir was the purest, the most innocent, and the most powerful that I have ever seen in this show. It is the perfect example of soulmates meeting. She wants to share everything with him and he wants that too. She trusts him. She mentioned that she will Love him with or without the Mask. All of that culminated in those, in a league of their own, Kisses. MariChat FTW.
