With a wistful, nostalgic sigh, the Princess read over the latest letter she'd received from her student, Luster Dawn; she'd written of new friends she'd made, new spells she'd learned and a few small, but ever meaningful adventures she'd been on along the way. The letter ended with a thankfulness to the teacher who'd guided, and still in her own way was guiding, her along, as well as a promise to write again soon.

Princess Twilight Sparkle rolled the scroll back up before setting it aside and lifting in it's place another she'd received just half an hour ago, before Luster's own. She finally unravelled the scroll, and began to read...

After what felt like hours of chasing the amulet, every pony else and Discord were able to catch up to Heartistry, who wasn't far behind the amulet.

Keira: We got to be close now! Keep focused, every pony!

The amulet continued to speed along until it had finally reached what appeared to be a corridor with some sort of ancient statues acting as guards. On the stone door between the statues was an indent in the center with four smaller indents around it. The amulet hovered in the middle, as if waiting for some force to put it into place. The indents around where the amulet hovered were hard to see, and even up close, their shapes were unclear.

Timber: Well, we finally caught it. But what is it doing?

Moon Dancer: The symbol on the door almost seems like what we saw in the library. More specifically, the cover of the book. What does every pony else think of this? Uh... Keira?

Out of her curiosity, Keira got closer to the door to inspect it, but upon reaching the door, she happened to notice four faded shapes at the foot of the stairs, one of them being something she almost seemed to recognize.

Gender: Cisgender Mare

Sexuality: Bisexual, Aromantic

Pronouns: She/Her

Appearance: Hurricane Twist is a rather tall mare with bright yellow eyes, a blonde mane pushed back and ending after curling under her ears. Her tail is longer, curly and stopping halfway down her hind legs. Her secondary feathers are teal alongside the inner of her ears and her freckles. Her freckles are on her ears, across her face, across her primary feathers, and across her shoulders.

Personality: Hurricane is well known for her attitude regarding winning, always certain that she will no matter what it is. She's highly competitive and determined to be the best no matter what it might cost her. Not dissimilar to her mother. Hurricane is a charismatic, social butterfly of a pony and is often seen reaching out and being friendly to, especially, the "outcasts". However, this is a facade. Hurricane is passive aggressive and snappy, her only interests where other ponies are concerned is pleasing Lightning and maintaining a good reputation.

Cutiemark: A hurricane. It symbolizes Hurricane Twist's speed and ability to clear obstacles, her name also symbolizing this.

Name: Lightning Dust

Relationship: Mother. Hurricane Twist is very close to Lightning Dust, living with her and being mentored by her mother to become a Wonderbolt.

Name: Rolling Thunder

Relationship: Mother. Rolling Thunder and Hurricane Twist aren't close and Hurricane Twist hasn't seen her nor her uncles since she was five. Although Hurricane Twist still misses Rolling Thunder a great deal but she'd never let Lightning Dust know that.

Name: Thunderlane

Relationship: Uncle. Thunderlane and Hurricane Twist were never close due to Thunderlane and Lightning Dust having a strong dislike towards one another. Thunderlane hadn't and still doesn't know who Hurricane Twist is. 

Name: Rumble

Relationship: Uncle. Rumble and Hurricane Twist used to be very close, he adored his niece and she adored her uncle. However, after Rolling Thunder and Lightning Dust divorced, Lightning Dust got full custody and Hurricane Twist hasn't seen him since. 

Name: Spectra Storm

Relationship: Cousin. Spectra Storm knows of Hurricane Twist vaguely due to hearing of the other from her father, brother, and uncle. Spectra Storm thinks Hurricane Twist is misunderstood and, like with everyone else Spectra Storm knows, must just be trying to do the right thing and just doesn't know what that thing is.

Name: Valiant Adventure

Relationship: Cousin. Valiant Adventure and Hurricane Twist used to play together as children but now they are rather estranged, knowing one another as classmates only. Alongside both being racers in Cloudsdale on the weekend.

Upon entering the temple, the five were rather surprised to see that the inside seemed somewhat similar to Twilight's throne room. In the center of the room was a giant table with books and papers scattered all around the top. There was also a few chairs surrounding the outside of the table, though they weren't nearly as elegant as the thrones in Twilight's castle.

Discord: Funny how this seems like some pony's castle...

Keira: It sort of does! I wonder if there's a reason behind that?

Moondancer: Well, standing around here isn't going to solve anything. Let's look for something that might give some information about this place.

Every pony agreed and went their separate ways and started to investigate, save for Discord who sat down in one of the chairs and sat around.

The four ponies searched the room for about half an hour with nothing to show for it. The whole while, Discord sat with his chin on the table half asleep until he sat up for a moment.

Discord: Doesn't seem like there's anything around here...

Moondancer: You know, getting up and looking might help.

Before another squabble between Moon Dancer and Discord could break out, Heartistry spoke up. Heartistry: Hold on! Does any pony else hear something? Like a really slow and possible broken music box going off?

Every pony stopped completely and listened closely. Though it was unclear where it might've been coming from, a slow lullaby-like tune could be heard from a distance.

Moondancer: Hey, you're right. I can hear it too!

Timber: As can I!

Without realizing it, Keira started to hum along with the music. A few notes in, she came to a sudden realization.

Keira: Wait! I know this tune! This was the lullaby my mum used to sing to me as a filly!

Timber: Well what are you waiting for?! Maybe singing it will do something!

Heartistry, Moon Dancer, and Discord all then turned their attention to Keira, mostly curious to know what this song was. What they didn't realize is the effect they had on Keira in that exact moment.
