Some funny things I noticed watching Phil’s Nov 16th stream two years after the fact.

- Phil jumping off from the detonation room aiming for the water but absolutely missing, hitting the stone and losing two hearts. lol

- Very interesting to re-contextualize two years later Sam standing behind Techno while he’s giving his speech. Like, obviously it didn’t meant much really in 2020 but from Phil’s POV knowing what we know now that’s an interesting frame.

- Phil finds some iron and tries to make some armor but ends up accidentally making a full iron block and just staring at it with the most confusion ever for a few seconds before fixing it

- When Techno starts telling the Theseus story someone in VC does a fake snore?? It’s cracked me up every time I rewind that bit to see what Phil’s doing. I have no idea who made that sound

- I think it’s Eret who shouts “Welcome, Phil!” when the withers start flying around? That’s really funny to me.

- Hbomb stops by Phil at one point and just hands him some tipped arrows? I never heard him in VC. also Phil’s bow has infinity so, kind of useless. A nice gesture though.

I have to know if you’ve been a wilbur main since day one (of being in the fandom) or slowly started becoming one over the past year or two

uhh kind of? while I didn't exactly find dsmp through wilbur, he was the only cc I watched before I got into dsmp itself. I started watching wilbur's youtube videos back in february/march of 2020, but I really only watched the 100 players videos and a few of the ylyl vids. I didn't really pay attention to the other stuff he posted which at the time was smp earth and then later dsmp

flash forward to december 2020. I kept hearing about the dream smp and had no clue what it was. I'd gotten a few tommy clip compilations in my recommended on youtube so I knew he was on dsmp, and started reading the c!tommy wiki page when I saw it mentioned wilbur and I was like "wait wilbur soot is on the dream smp??" so then I hopped over to the c!wilbur wiki page, saw he had a villain arc (bc this was pretty soon after nov 16th), and I was like holy shit I need to see this man roleplay as a bad guy

so I watched a few of his dsmp vids and started browsing the tumblr tag for it. at that point though wilbur wasn't really streaming on dsmp obviously, so my first stream ended up being tommy. and since c!wilbur was ghostbur at the time I didn't have a huge interest in him, so c!tommy (and subsequently cc!tommy) was who I 'mained'

and that was january 2021 so very shortly after was when ranboo really started getting noticed for their personal lore and I got interested in his content. and then I was watching tommy and ranboo so naturally I watched tubbo too. hence how I technically started out as a bench trio main (and is why my first fic big q's big six is actually bench trio centric, and also why clinic was both bench trio centric and sbi centric, whereas most of my later fics were just sbi centric)

I did start getting into wilbur's non dsmp streams (bc again, while I watched him before dsmp I only watched youtube never twitch), but I definitely shifted more focus to him after c!wilbur got revived. the bench trio brain worms started dying out once I got to actually watch a lot of c!crime interaction live, but for a while I was more focused on tommy's content than wilbur's. gradually though I gravitated back towards wilbur and the brainrot hasn't left me since lol

OKAY it is one am but you know what yeah let's get into the HORRORS that were honestly really fun. Let's share

I joined the fandom the same day I properly watched a tommyvod, the drista one on October 11th/12th 2020 at like 3 pm after school. If you look at that, lina, you will recognize that A. It is four days before the sixteenth, and B. It was TWO DAYS before I joined the election discord. The discord started the same day i joined practically. This event was so big and so good for meeting friends that it immediately ballooned the conversation.

The mcytblr election was started by one tumblr user called ADHDdream who posted this real neat tumblr post where they essentially went "lol man at this point I should be the president of mcytblr." And then EVERY OTHER PERSON on this site said yeah lol. Or what if I was. And within four hours every single person on mcytblr (at this point mcytblr was extremely small- and since the dsmp portion of it was the majority no one thought to differentiate between smps) had made parties and alliances and an actual coalition, although that might have taken more like five hours. It was like penismp if penis smp managed 53,000 discord messages in one month. I was the one to start the original mcytblr brochure blog (@mcytblr-elections ) and I started it literally before I even joined the election discord. It was THE event and it started about three months of dedicated roleplay. I met victoy maybe three days in and they brought me under their wing like an artistic baby bird.

Basically, there was a re-enactment of the dsmp elections but in real time. There was campaigning, posters, I made a minx-niki flag for fvck2020- that's how all of them were organized too, name2020, and you registered 9 policies with the mods (you also had to have a front runner and a second. They actually banned coalitions initially but like LOL no) in at which time you would have an official channel on the discord. Preliminaries were where we all set up original parties, and there was TONS of voter fraud because it was literally just a Google doc voting booth which was HILARIOUS but thats beside the point. The policies are a mirror of the culture atp, like inniter oppression (where I met uncertain!!) And making sure everyone got free stuff

There was a whole lot of hype, and roleplays were starting up immediately. Silverfish2020 turned into a 100 person strong cult almost immediately and as tumblr tends to do, many MANY inside jokes were formed. I recently annoyed my friend with a sc of the #mpreg-rp channel which had someone role-playing jschlatt as a pisswife. It became the biggest hub for watching streams, too. I vividly remember organizing with a few main character staples who would watch who in the election discord so we could all let each other know what was going on in the festival stream (btw little known fact but even with two backups my stream crashed on Nov and Oct 16th during the TNT parts. I have still to this day never watched lmanburg actually blow up properly.

IGNORING ALL THAT though the mcytblr election absolutely SUCKDD. For one main reason okay and I'm okay saying this now b/c all the old mods have moved on

I am not kidding I was literally fighting with a mod on day three (when the fundy community was big, this was a mainstay blig for the fundy followers) because of a party called Anarchy 2020- Anarchy2020 was essentially the fun happy-go-lucky dudes that were like "we should all topple this government! Not my president! Revolution!". There were lots of tnt jokes n essentially it was a party dedicated to everyone who didn't want to have a president or just wanted to roleplay a revolution, but since it didn't technically have party runners it couldn't be voted for. And also one of the mods was A. An anarchist and B. A total weirdo. They literally said "THEYRE USING IT WRONG AND IT MAKES ME ANGY CUZ IM AN ACTUAL ANARCHIST FKFBFKFJ" that's quoted. It was basically a response to people not voting and wanting to overthrow. Freaking weird bro they made it such a big deal ANYWAY

There was a whole multi-chara roleplay!! Soul (,wow I knew them!!!) won the election, there was a whole countdown and everything- quotes2020 beat silverfish2020 by FOUR votes. There was uproar!!!! Revolution!!!! ANARCHY!!!!

The election basically created that community. There were a few tumblr events to happen after it (by the way, funny phenomenon, but mcytwt actually copied every event we did with WAY less success like a few days after each. Wonder how that went) like friend or host (I joined it. I was the first contestant out of the ONLY round if friend or host ever I think. Imagine being the first person eliminated after holding a bird mask 2 ur face for ten minutes. Girl that shit was so awkward) the mcytblr prom (I did NO roleplay but I did dress up) and mcytblr highschool??? I think. There were two more elections after it that i consider canonical, but really only the very first two (out of like five) had anything really stick around. ###DZN--- Just a mere two or so weeks [13-14ds] prior to the Invasion of [REDACTED], Xanxon forces, some 36,000 elite troopers, assaulted the small town of Dayi during the identically named operation. In spite of being outnumbered by the roughly 155k Imperium troops, they were able to so nobly push the invaders out, however this would only be so long lived naturally, as by the 14th enemy reinforcements arrived and crushed the forces present with some over 300,000 hostile personnel piling onto the much smaller force of highly trained Xanxon troopers, who pulled back out of necessity.

###SDW--- On January 1 14th, the Xanxons commence their Invasion of [REDACTED], which seems some rather immediate success, however, after the cruel war crimes committed by the Imperium, and their overwhelming numbers, Xanxon forces were forced to fall back at and after the key and decisive battles, of Carcass Ridge and The Lublin District Pocket, see below comments upon this document for further clarification regarding this campaign. Afterwards, the Xanxon Army was forced to retreat off-world, having dealt heavy casualties, at least at a one to one ratio with the enemy, and unto him they struck.

###DTL--- After repeated Imperium aggression, the cowardly evil of Markovich struck again, and this time during Operation Sodium, an Imperial plan to crush Xanxon and local resistance efforts by eliminating most of our leadership, and by capturing or killing General Relek, who, contrary to official Imperium statements, is not guilty of any such war crimes as he is currently being accused of.

###DTL--- On Nov. 16, 2009 D.t.A.L. Local Time, various Bari/Batti-Class Nation(alist) heroes in Europe launched a gracious military coup takeover against the decadent democracies in Britain, France etc., following Ivan Morozov's decision to side with the Xanxons, and save his country of Russia from the clutches of Imperium "freedom". Likewise, General Jeac Ben Venice of France had also decided he'd have had enough of the Imperium's false promises and lies and oppression.

###GSH--- Following this, the opening of the front in January, then by April of the 1rst ARG Cycle, and in April of the GSH's year 2020, our heroes successfully took Leyai City against the evil Soviet and American Imperialist forces. This grand, great and sweeping counteroffensive action had just coincided with many events on the rest of the Interntimelinal Plane.

###T71--- {{AZR-K-15.-8}} It was here that the Imperium failed to even begin occupied the Trinity Seven Dash One world, as we had just quite simply beaten them to it.

###T72--- Minor clashes and an alliance with the Triangleheads had just begun by this point in time.

###DNG--- Likewise, Dazaan had just completely fallen. The Xanxon Army had crushed the evil forces of the Imperium here as well. Predominantly in Asiatic environs.

###DTL--- It was around this point that a massive, full scale Invasion of the DTAL United States has begun, and they lost their capitol very rapidly.

###DTL--- Fortunes for the devilish continued, however, as an equally despicable Empire had just arrived, invading through Germany. What followed was a lengthy and costly struggle. From early to mid December, up until March 1rst of next year (2010), this Empire would fight, as they did in Germany, and in France, and in Poland, and in Berlin, and in Italy, and in Madrid, and in Vladivostok, and in Saint Petersburg, and as in Manchuria, and all before Markovich had committed serious and completely ignored by the community war crimes, achieving a rather speedy victory.

###GSH--- A long, lengthy and complex war had just begun. Following various actions, Interntimelinal World War One had just begun. And it would be bloody, as on the battlefield we had played honorably, and they had just returned that honorable nature with a show of barbaric force and pure malicious evil, trampling upon every single agreement they had signed, promised and had sworn upon. This one is of Ghostbur (yea dsmp I know) based off the song September by SparkyDeathCap and the lighting just HAS to be my favorite part of this. His design has changed since then but I still have no idea how I made this look so just AAAAAAA (Made Nov 30th 2020)

This is a scene based on a self-insert type of story (not finished writing but I know how it ends) between my sona Maddie and their (future) QPR partner Lyn. They are just going through it and rain is hard to draw :,). I like them both so much man (Made October 16th 2021)

Another piece of Lyn and this time Glitch! They also going through it since both came out the other side worse than they should have. For some reason this speedpaint of this got a lot more views than I am used to??? (Made Feb 16th 2023)

God, what do I said, I wish the best of wishes to Technoblade’s family and friends in this time of morning.

I remember when I watched my first video featuring him, the Dream vs Technoblade Duel, I remember just watching it out of curiosity, that was back in November of 2020, and in one day I became a fan of Tommyinnit, Wilbur, and Technoblade. I still remember the first lore stream I watched of the Dream SMP, it was Nov. 16th, it’s always so strange looking back, I watched Tommyinnit’s POV, and barely knew anyone on the SMP, but Technoblade’s speech has always stuck with me. Now almost 2 later, though I’m no longer as invested in the Dream SMP as I was back in 2020, Technoblade has been one of the few YouTuber I made sure to watch every video he released.

I remember when he first announced his diagnosis, and because of that I bought my first YouTuber merch, one of his youtooz plushie, my friend always joked that my first merch would be of Tommyinnit, he was proven wrong. Now with his passing, it’s making me question a few things, no birthday wishes from his friends in social media, though I obviously understand they didn’t need to say happy birthday to him on social media, mcc usually tweet a happy birthday to him, but this year nothing, it makes me wonder if he passed before his birthday, and I know they don’t have to disclosed to the public about the details about his passing, but it just that my mind is racing with tons of possibilities.

Technoblade is one of the best YouTuber out there, he brought so much love into Minecraft and cared so much about his fans and content. While Technoblade, no, Alex is gone, Technoblade’s legacy will never die!
