my mind came up with possible connections between Jeff, Marion, and Kim so here's a brain fart of thoughts:

in s510 ('Something Unforgivable'), Kim mentions she's looking for "something specific" when she asked Grant for more PD overflow cases - we never really get a resolution here other than Kim saying she wants to make a big difference and Grant insinuating that working with juveniles will really tug on her heartstrings

in s610 ('Nippy'), Marion mentions to Gene that Jeff had some "tough times" and "fell in with a bad crowd" when he was in Albuquerque - i genuinely don't know if the age really matches up in terms of Kim taking on juvenile cases (probably not) BUT it's possible that Kim was looking for Jeff's case in PD overflow (maybe after being alerted/pressured by Marion?)

Kim & Marion - i don't want to go on a crazy limb with my feeble brain by assuming that Marion is also Kim's mother (though the fact that Marion lives in Nebraska might support this) HOWEVER, maybe it's possible that they do know each other from Kim's time in Red Cloud and somehow reconnected with each other after Marion contacted Kim about Jeff's previously unresolved PD case in ABQ

anyways, i am probably wrong but it was fun to see a possible connection! can't wait to see the rest of the episodes (shaking with fear)
