I’m submitting some artwork I’ve fallen in love with the past few weeks (sorry, no Star Wars today!)

This artwork by @/elizianna.the.one (insta) is of a female character from the Crescent City books. Her name is Perry, and I love how the artist draws her. She may be an omega but she looks like a badass, and she’s gorgeous. The ponytail? The tank? The eyebrows? 10/10.

This artwork by @/gabsgabx (insta) of Day and Night (from Crescent City books) is stunning. The way Day looks at Night is so soft, and knowing the horror of her backstory, I love seeing her so content and just utterly in love. The look in her eyes, especially is so raw.

This artwork by @/tswaney17 (insta) of Azriel (from A Court of Thorns and Roses series) gives me life. The detail in the apron’s design, his tattoos, the scars on his hands, and the intense concentration on his face is divine.

Finally, this artwork by @/gessueter (insta) of Elain and Azriel dressed as Padme and Anakin for Halloween makes me so happy. The colors in Elain’s dress are so beautiful, and the way Azriel is holding her hand is so tender. I love them dearly and it’s so fun seeing them dressed as Star Wars characters.

Sarah really had us believing that he was gonna be romantically tied to sigrid (lost fendyr wolf) only to have him unalive her BY ACCIDENT (kind of) and then try to resurrect her only to make her a soul sucking reaper LMFAO I CANT and throughout the entire book ithan’s all about wanting to find a new leader to be the replacement for sabine and wanting a better future for the wolves only to fail to see that HE IS the prime and future that the wolves need😂

Also the ithan and perry love line foreshadowing has me wanting more ngl i cant believe sarah janet maas is gonna make me wait another 3-4 years minimum for the next cc book i hate life

the faint thump of music from somewhere inside the den & the soft scratches against the paper is the only thing she hears, and maybe she is a little distracted. but everything is back to normal now. well, as normal as it can become after everything that has happened. not too many shifts where she sits at the front gate now, more at the aux than here, but it's nice at times. sliding back into the old routines & it leaves time for sketching. even if more and more lately, those sketching had turned into drawings of ithan. elbow on the desk, chin in the palm of her hand as gaze is settled upon paper, a outline forming, eyes, lips, nose, hair falling into his eyes.

HoFaS ends with some lose threads. The world has just had a great change, a massive upheaval, and it's highlighted how this is a prime opportunity for people grasping for power. Tharion's narration highlights this and how the Viper Queen is one of them... As he makes his way back to the Meat Market looking for his missing wife, Sathia, and runs into Ariadne.

Tharion's storyline literally ends on a cliff-hanger and sets up the Viper Queen as one of the antagonists. It seems fitting as well, as we already had the big, epic, arc and we can now focus on more localized conflicts and the aftermath of overthrowing the Asteri. I would also think we are seeing more of Ariadne in general and maybe Flynn as he is Sathia's brother, much as he complains about her.

Another plot thread is the missing Fendyr Heir (named Sigrid). So, shit happened, she died during HOFAS and came back wrong as a Reaper. Frankly, I did not get a good impression of Sigrid. Ithan believes for a good, good time she's the answer to the Sabine question, but she struck me as self-righteous and not the good kind of Fendyr deep down. Becoming a Reaper made it worse. She could be redeemed but honestly, I'd rather see her become a villain.

So you have this plotline for Ithan, and we also maybe get hints of a love interest in the form Perry Ravenscroft, Amelie's sister. This storyline also ties in with another unresolved one: Hypaxia's. Over the course of the book, Morganthia overthrows Hypaxia and she's far less of a kind and understanding rule, ergo, likely to be problematic in a post-Asteri world. Also, Hypaxia is the Head of Flame and Shadow now, which also makes her a natural ally of Ithan when searching for you know. Undead Wolf Heir.
