I made a Trollhunters asmr idea about Jim gaining PTSD from the other 'timeline' and claire's trying to help him.

So, i hear you can't sleep recently, can you? Well, whilst i was babysitting enrique, i found methods to help someone sleep or calm themselves in a book. Lovely artwork, isn't it? They worked on enrique, so hopefully i can do the same with you.

Little fun fact: i had to make my own trainers with specialist help because i didn't like the concept of laces and not being able to lace any up or trainers in general. You could say a forger helped me.

Toby died defeating a titan and i had to rewrite the story. I'm afraid that despite passing it to toby, it'll all happen again. And i don't want to lose anyone else!]

Jim, your mantle you had made you who you are today. It ain't that far fetched, i thought i remembered things in my dreams. Drew in my book. I love you, here and there, I'd change nothing if i could. Someone once told me, you aren't alone for someone else is feeling like you.

Senior Year - It's a tie (part 3)

Pairing: Eddie Munson x fem!reader/ y/n Henderson

Context: y/n is Dustin's big sister. The events of S1 to S3 have happened with y/n being a part of it to some extent. S3 ends differently with Hopper escaping the Russians with Joyce and Murray. Joyce and Hopper made it to Enzo at some point and they are now happily dating. Joyce didn't move to California so the gang is all together in Hawkins.

Dustin's and y/n dad died a few years ago. He was Hopper and Joyce's high school friend so they are very close to the family. Hopper is y/n godfather.

I don't know yet if some of the events of S4 will happen in this serie, but I can promise that Eddie will be safe if they do.

Summary: Y/n is starting her senior year as Eddie's starts his third one. They know each other from being in the same high school, but are not really friends. She likes him. Good thing her little brother is now a part of the Hellfire Club.

Warnings: (for the whole serie) mention of dead parents, mention of drugs and alcohol, swearing, slow burn, flirting, mutual pining, fluff, friends to lovers, smut 18+.

Today's study time is at the Munson's trailer. Physics test tomorrow. It's not your first time here but it is your first time studying in the coziness of Eddie's bedroom. You like it. Him letting you in is little universe. His room is messy and so full of stuff but it's so him. The posters, the cassettes, the books, the guitars, his art... Eddie everywhere. You feel confortable and so does he. You got in this little routine of studying at your place or his place and it's peaceful.

You take a break and start looking at all of his cassettes while Eddie devours the peanut butter cookies you made.

"Those are delicious" he says moaning "See anything you like?" he asks.

"Nope" you quickly reply.

"Ouch" Eddie.

You laugh "No seriously, I see a few bands I do know and appreciate. Like AC/DC, Metallica and Black Sabbath. But I don't know much about metal. You'll have to give me metal music lessons... if you want to".

He smiles "I'd like that. So what kind of music do you listen to?".

You smile softly and you join him sitting on his bed "Well, my father was a big fan of music. Specially rock, but anything, even a little bit of country. He had this huge vinyl collection. To name a few, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Lyrnd Skyrnd, ZZ Top even Dolly Parton. I love all kind of music but anything in my dad's music collection holds a special place for me".

"Most of those names are classic rock legends. I respect that... but you lost me at country and Dolly Parton" he grins.

"There will be no disrespecting of Dolly in my presence. Or I will retaliate by giving you country music lessons" you threaten.

You both laugh "I also like more recent girly stuff like Madonna and Cyndi Lauper of course. They are icons. Girl power".

"Oh yeah, what are your favorite songs?" he asks.

"Girls just want to have fun all though the night" You say as you look into his eyes with a little smirk.

He blushes and smiles "Oh I see what you did there miss, putting those two titles together to make it sound more dirty".

"Ok, what about you? Any favorites by those legends?" you tease.

"Crazy for you like a virgin" he proudly responds. Using your own technique right back at you.

It's your turn to blush. "Ok, it's a tie on this round! I have to say, I am impressed by your Madonna knowledge"

"Ok, now what about movies?" he asks smiling "I already know horror is not your best categorie".

"I suppose it's yours?" he nods with enthousiam "Oh boy, future movie nights won't be easy" you say playfully rolling your eyes.

You both smile "I like sci-fi, action, fantasy, comedy. Not a big fan of romance movies" you continue.

"No? Not a fan of Sixteen Candles?" he asks mockingly.

"No way! Have you seen that movie? It's just plain creepy... yuck" you grimace "But I did like Breakfast Club however! Don't think it qualifies as romance. By the way, meant to ask you, is Bender inspired by you or the other way around?" you tease.

He throws his pillow at you. Big grin on his face.

"Ok, favorite movies?" you ask.

"Horror: The Shining" he responds "Not horror: Ghostbusters. What about you?"

"Read The Shining, could not see it. Too scary. The twins... Very favorite movie is Back to the Future. Clear winner. For my second, i'm right with you on Ghostbusters. Loved it".

"Really? I'm impressed. Favorite character. Venkman?".

"Nope, no integrity. Ghostbuster is a serious business. Spengler is the best. You?".

"Spengler too".

You could talk about anything for hours. And you do most of the time. Conversation is easy with Eddie. Getting your attention back to studying Physics... not so much.

3x01 - NHIE ... been slut shamed

Spoiler alert if you havent read the s3 e1 table read >>> Most of the trailer comes from episode one.

We have the Daxton entrance; the mean girls slut shaming Devi in the bathroom; the girls in Devi's room talking about (who's not) having sex; Devis boyfriend party session with Dr Ryan; Daxton make out sessions at Devi's and a failed one post date at Paxton's garage.

3x02 - NHIE ... had my own troll

The popularity that Devi had longed for isn't all it's cracked up to be, as the hate and jealousy of others start to trigger her buried insecurities and traumas.

The Gossip Girl blasts from Lady Whistleboy are coming it hot.

Will we finally find out what the anonymous text means? My bet is still it being Paxton's biggest fan, Trent Harrison.

I think the "we don't make sense" conversation happens early in the season as Daxton navigate the roller-coaster that is their first serious relationship. They reconcile and survive their first bf/gf fight ... but it starts going down down in an earlier round (will they go down swinging?)

3x03 NHIE ... had a Valentine

Hoping for some love all round in the form of Treleanor and Kamanish (is that what were calling Kamala and Mr K now? Idk you tell me).

Anyway, Paxton makes her dinner and it's too cute. The little things. Like ya know he got those roses from the garden and put it in a beer cup cause he couldn't find a vase.

However, it doesnt end well as per Devi’s expression pictured right. Nalini busts them (finally, cause how long can Devi get away with him in her room). As memory serves, she does not approve of Paxton.

Nalini starts running interference with a goal to set Devi up with whom Nalini hopes to be her future SIL - Super hot, Stanford bound, Des.

Devi is in big trouble which is why she has conditions to attend next episode's party.

3x04 - NHIE ... made someone jealous

So now it's confirmed this is when we are first introduced to Des, and 100% not an uggo.

Raise your hand if you felt personally victimised when it's revealed who she was really looking at with wide eyes.

In the same episode theme, this could also be a possibility of Aneesa's jealousy rising. Please don't do my girl dirty, she deserves the world too.

3x05 NHIE ... been ghosted

The fallout of ep 4 ... oh dear, looks like we may have a character arc backslide by P.H.Y in this one. Let's hope not. My soft boy deserves growth. Protect at all costs.

Maybe this is when we'll have more Treleanor to balance the drama. If the play is Romeo and Juliet ... so help me God. I love it but also a bit on the nose?

3x06 NHIE ... had a breakdown

3x07 NHIE ... cheated

I thought I read that he appears in ep 8 but for now I'm going to assume it's 7. Deacon Phillippe will appear as Parker, Devi’s debate team rival from a well-funded private school, he’s able to coast through debate tournaments thanks to his school’s advantages and is always down to party.

I assume Addison makes their appearance in the same episode ❤️ played by Terry Hu, a non-binary person from the local private school, bringing more than impressive trivia skills to the group.

Please Mindy and Lang >> No physical or emotional cheating. Idc if it's academics, debate, or even board games!

Lets not do the old once a cheater always a cheater.

3x08 - NHIE ... hooked up with my boyfriend

In the words of Poorna herself:

Same nerds. New Drama.

Like I said, we get it. The D's V card gets swiped.

And in my favourite twist, it's revealed Paxton is also a virgin.

3x09 untitled / 3x10 untitled

So as I've written this, I've realised Daxton will experience some relationship obstacle or challenge each episode.

Pressures of sex, feelings of incompatibility, family members that don't approve of you, jealousy and insecurities of other people that you think your partner likes more, lack of communication, shutting down / shutting out, having a partner that is not in a healthy state of mind, general cheating, actual intimacy.

The last two eps will address the outcome and also whether we see Paxton graduate this year.

And from here it will go one of two ways:

1) Endgame.

2) First love, but not last love.

Hi, it was me who asked how you feel about the ending of Yumi's cells 2. For me, the ending was good. I get that Jinyoung/Babi fans are disappointed and mad. I'm also a Jinyoung fan. But for me, the ending was good. I was already aware that they are not going to be the endgame. Maybe that was a reason why I didn't expect them to be together. And Yumi said, that Babi wasn't the reason for their final breakup. It was because she knew that she doesn't have feelings. So the breakup was the best thing in my opinion. Let's say, what if Yumi pretended to be having feelings or being happy saying that it's for the sake of their relationship? I don't think that's good at all. It will hurt both of them. In my opinion, if you think you can't continue your relationship, you have to let go of it. Babi let go of Yumi. Which is good in my opinion. I know it must have been heartbreaking for him. But at least, it's better than being in a relationship without love and communication. I love how Yumi's cell village admired Babi for being Yumi's supporter especially for her writing dream. It's something we can't deny. Babi was nothing but a supportive, caring lover.

I just heard that Babi marries Daeun in the webtoon. But I think it's good that he didn't get together with Daeun here. Because people already called him a cheater. So this ending is perfect for him.

The only thing I'm kind of disappointed about this series is, we didn't get to know Babi's cells that much. But anyway, I do like the ending a lot. And Sunrook appeared (tho his image was blurry 😂) I'm excited for the next season.

I'm going to be honest here. I watched Yumi's cells s1 & s2 only for Jinyoung at first. But then I started to fall in love with the whole story. It was really really good. I love Yumi a lot as well. I can't say I like Woong. Not because he was Yumi's ex or he always looked down on Babi. I read the webtoon and I didn't like Woong at all. His personality somehow made me uncomfortable. But anyways, He meets a good girl in webtoon. So I wish him all the best.

Me, who started for Jinyoung fell in love with Yumi and her cell village and now gonna watch s3 if they're going to release it. I can't wait to see Yumi's growth more 😭

sorry for not replying straight away - but please know your opinions are VERY welcome here.

I agree with you in many aspects.

The show did Babi wrong not showing his cells. Which is a pity, especially because 1. we did see a lot of Wung's cells even in this season, 2. I really enjoyed any time spent in Babi's village. I was promised maracas, and didn't get many much of those! But I am so glad he doesn't end up with Da Eun that I can forgive things.

Also, we still don't know when he fell in love with Yumi! I mean, we can understand the clues, but nothing clear about it.

The show did dirty on one main thing thou. I am absolutely fine with Yumi breaking the engagement (despite being utterly SCIENCE FICTION not loving Babi, but okay), but she knew she didn't love him for a long time. Babi felt something was off and the all hospital drama happened, but Yumi didn't take her responsibilities then and there. Babi proposed because she told him she thought HE was the one not sure, and for Babi marriage was the one option to make it clear for Yumi that he loves her and doesn't have any regrets. But why, Yumi is not perfect. And the show didn't try to blame Babi either so, I am kinda fine. Where I am less fine is that they showed us their happiness and Yumi meeting with Babi's dad - just to throw off us all away again. I really like Yumi's Cell 1 because nothing really happened plot wise. The second part of the second season was this constant swing between good old Yumi's Cells and DRAMA. And it was possibly too much for me.

Do I want a third season? No. I liked the finale as it is. Also, for what I know, they have used all the good bits from the Sunrook's story line and give them to Wung and Babi. Would I watch a third season if they make one anyway? of course, but Wu Gi must return!

Anyone else as worried as I am that they're gonna do Landon dirty with this whole Limbo thing, like that did in s3 with him being in the prison world?? Bc with that whole prison world thing it'll never not make me mad. We saw none of it and there's a chance we might never know he went through. Now this season with him being in Limbo(for however long he'll be in limbo) we might not see enough of it. And now it seems what we will see won't be just about Landon but will be about. Now don't get me wrong I love Handon and seeing where their story is going. But I just really want Landons limbo storyline to be JUST about Landon and his journey back to the Landon of the living. And then him going to find Hope and help her through everything as best as he can, can come after that. Is that really too much to ask for?

If you’ve seen some of the stuff I’ve posted, you’ll know I’m worried. 😭 I still can’t believe what they did last season and that we still know nothing about his time in the prison world. And what’s interesting is that the only episode where we did see any of what Landon went through, in Malivore anyway and him ending up in the prison world, was in 3x06. And now we’re gonna see him trapped somewhere else in 4x06, again with Ted. And you’d think maybe this could be a good thing and it could parallel last season and come full circle where we might finally learn about what happened. Or they might just repeat what they did last season and have this episode be the only time we really see Landon and what he’s dealing with and it will all get cut off again and they’ll never address anything. So... yeah... 😅 And yes, I made a post about that as well, with the focus being taken from just Landon and becoming about no humanity Hope. Which, I obviously love Handon too and don’t mind that, as long as it doesn’t take away from Landon’s individual storyline at all. Which I’m worried it will in this case, like it did in the first few episodes of this season, when they ignored everything Landon was going through and his trauma and only focused on Hope becoming the tribrid and defeating Malivore. And now is the time to finally focus on just Landon and I don’t want them to screw it up again. I totally agree, the focus on him and Hope and him helping her can come after. Just please finally talk about Landon and all that happened to him, which is an enormous hole in the story and has been for an entire season now. Please. It really shouldn’t be too much to ask for at all, it should be essential, actually.

Do you have any fics where Mary's not the bad guy? I don't hate fics like that at all, some of my favourite fics include Mary as the villain, but I feel like a lot of fic hating on her is the fandom taking out their anger from S3 & S4, and it gets a bit misogynistic sometimes in my opinion. I don't think Mary's character is actually that bad (although I am a hopeful TJLCer), but I can understand completely the frustration that people felt (and still feel) when she was integrated into the show.

Whenever someone doesn’t think Mary’s all that bad, I can’t HELP MYSELF, I’m SO SORRY. Not trying to change your mind of course, just hoping you see why we support Johnlock AND the idea that Mary is kind of a dick: Can You Show Me How Mary Is an Abuser? (Masterpost Apr 2020)

A lot of fiction with “bad Mary” is NOT because they hate Mary, it’s because there was actual subtext in the show that pointed to her being an emotional abuser and an ultimate endgame of villainy. I spent an obscene amount of time in this fandom writing meta about Mary. I actually like her too, which is why I’m upset they did her dirty by giving her this cliché and pathetic “redemption” arc which wasn’t one at all, and THAT’S what pissed people off, LOL.

ANYWAY, again I’m not trying to be a dick, but if you’re interested in WAY too many rabbit holes of meta, check out that second link; I loved writing about her! Just for extra reading if you’re bored, and to see why most of us actually think she’s no good, LOL <3

Baam was sweet and kind, everyone knew that. It was something that was just so blatantly obvious. He would never hurt or harm you or ever say anything that would potentially hurt you emotionally.

He had nothing but respect and love for you, it didn't matter what you did, or what you looked like, you were always an angel to him, and he was like an angel to you.

There were times where you figured that everything around him, and what he had experienced, would have got to him, and maybe cause him to snap at you. That never happened, and it did make you worry about him bottling up any stress he might have.

He was always soft and gentle with you, forever treating you like a porcelain doll that would break easily.

Even his kisses never got too rough, the words he'd say to you were just too nice and sweet. But you did wonder at times what he would be capable of if he ever decided to let his anger and stress out.

Whenever the two of you were intimate, it was always gentle and slow. You would have to beg him to be rougher with you, which he would apologize for afterwards like he had done something unforgivable.

As time went on, the more comfortable he became with being rough with you, but he still would never do anything to hurt you, the only marks he had given you were subtle lovebites on your neck, chest or inner thighs.

Dirty talk was the one thing he was still getting used to, and the one thing he'd struggle the most with. You tried to make him more comfortable saying dirty things to you by saying those things to him. At first, it made your face redden and embarrassment kick in, but after a while, you were comfortable with it. But saying those things made you want him to call you anything and everything, even the not-so-nice names.

"Are you sure you want to try that?" He asks you softly, his body in between your thighs, both of your bodies naked on your bed.

"I trust you, Baam," you say quietly, your hands on the back of his head pulling him closer to your face, "I know you won't hurt me,"

You pull his face down further so that your lips pressed harshly onto his, your fingers tangling themselves in his hair.

It was completely understandable if he were uncomfortable about the situation. He would always show you a lot of passion and love during sex, but this was something different.

"How badly do you want me?" He says as his mouth pulls away from yours.

"Badly, I need you," you whisper.

His hands move to the back of your thighs, pushing them down onto the bed. He lines himself up with your entrance and pushes inside you roughly.

It was a change to you, the normally gentle Baam thrusting in and out of you like a monster. You knew he had the stamina to be able to last a long time and be rougher than most people, but this was still something you knew you would have to deal with and get used to. You wanted it this way, and he sure as hell was giving you what you wanted.

"You look so good under me like this," Baam tells you, his face inches from yours again.

"S-say more," you cry. It was pretty difficult to focus on what he was saying when he was driving himself inside you so roughly. "Call me anything that comes to your mind,"

There was a level of discomfort on his face, but he knew he had to do something, you were nearly begging him to degrade you.

"Do you like being treat like a little fuck toy?" He asks, his voice low and husky. The way he said it made you more aroused.

You bit your lip and giggled, clearly liking the way those words came from his mouth.

"Yes, I do," you moan, gasping at the pleasure he was making you feel.

His hands move to under your knees, pushing your legs down again, he was able to reach further inside you with the new angle.

"Dammit," he groans, "you're so needy for me, aren't you, my little slut?"

It felt weird to have him call you that, a small amount of fear built inside you as he continued to thrust inside you at a rough pace.

Your hands flew up to his arms, fingers digging into the skin.

"Mmm, fuck," you cry as your nails dig harder into his skin.

One hand moves away from your leg, and makes its way up to your face, cupping your cheek, thumb tracing across your upper lip, then lower lip, causing you to shudder a little beneath him. You let out a shaky breath.

"You've got such a pretty mouth," he says, moving his hand away from your face.

Any doubt about what he had said to you before soon phased away, making you more comfortable with him being more blunt and rough with you again.

"Oh my god," you moan.

"You're such a good slut, taking me like this," his words were harsh, and you knew that it wasn't something you should take seriously, but a certain pain made itself known inside you. It was like you were experiencing a betrayal. You told yourself to last longer.

Your arousal was there, but it dimmed down once you heard those words.

"Shit," you cry, both from the immense feeling of pleasure but also from the hurt your heart was feeling from just hearing those words. "Baam,"

"What is it you want, needy slut?" He says, his voice low again.

That was it, your emotions took hold, your hands moving up to his shoulders, trying to push him away.

He slowed down, once he noticed the tears falling from your eyes, hearing your silent sobs.

"I've messed this up, I'm so sorry," his soft voice says, pulling himself out of you and releasing your legs.

His body hovered over yours for a while, unsure of what to do, or even say. You both knew that the words were something that neither of you was supposed to take seriously, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt you both.

The look of shock and sadness on Baam's face as he moved away from you was obvious. You lay there crying, just thinking of just that single word that was just supposed to mean nothing.

"This is my fault," Baam admits.

"No," you cry, turning on your side, waiting for him to lay beside you, "this is my fault, I talked you into this,"

"I should've just said no, I hurt you,"

"Please, Baam, I don't want to argue over this,"

It was heartbreaking just seeing you lie there, upset and hurt by what had just happened.

He makes his way over to you, lying beside you, his eyes trying to avoid yours like he was ashamed.

"You're not a slut," Baam says, there was a hint of sadness and anger in his voice, "you're my beautiful angel who deserves every bit of love I give,"

You smile at him as you continue to sob, "I do love you so much,"

"I know you do," he says, his arms pulling your closer to him, "I love you too, let's just lie here like this for now,"

"Okay, I'm sorry I brought this stupid thing up,"

"Don't be sorry, it's okay to try something new," one of his arms were under your neck, his hand and fingers softly combing your hair while the other traced shapes on your back, "we know now that this is something we shouldn't try again,"

"You're so good to me," it was something completely unexpected, and although he had heard it a lot, he didn't think that you'd say it now of all times, "I don't deserve you,"

"You do, you've just got yourself all worked up, it hurts me to see you like this,"

He was so warm, you move closer to him, wrapping your arms around him.

"Can we stay like this for the rest of the night?" You ask.

"Of course we can," he replies, peppering your face with soft kisses, making you smile and giggle, "as long as you're not cold or anything,"

"You and your personality are warm enough,"

"I'm being serious," he says, smiling and laughing lightly at you.

"I know you are," you say, your eyes looking straight into his, "if I get cold, I can just borrow one of your shirts,"

"You can borrow any one you like,"

"Thanks, Baam,"

You both lay there, Baam's mouth smiling as you both close your eyes, both of you holding each other closely.

It might've been a mistake to try something you knew would have the potential to backfire, but you were comfortable now, and that was the only thing that mattered to Baam. You were safe in his arms, and he wasn't going to let you go or say something so insensitive again.

(part 6)

Pairing: Eddie Munson x fem!reader/ y/n Henderson

Dustin's and y/n dad died a few years ago. He was Hopper and Joyce's high school friend so they are very close to the family. Hopper is y/n godfather.

I don't know yet if some of the events of S4 will happen in this serie, but I can promise that Eddie will be safe if they do.

Life at school changed a lot after the cafeteria incident. Mostly for the better. Jason was visibly still very angry and, as usual, faced zero consequences from the school for anything he did that day. Andy's suspension was over. But after the newspaper team had but together a whole special edition on sexual harassment and assault and published it without the school pre-approuval, Andy's parents made him switch to a private school. That little special edition was your most popular one ever. Everyone at school had a copy and it made it's way into many houses. Sparking outrage from many many parents. The newspaper never faced any consequences for publishing without approuval. Now that some of the dirty secrets were out of the bag, the school was in hot water. Even more when other students came forward with more testimonials. Hawkins local newspapers even published an article about it. There were ongoing investigations by the police as well as the schoolboard. School felt safer for everybody. It was nice.

That was not the first time the school newspaper had published a special edition without the school's approuval. The last one was a very popular edition too. It was last year. You and Nancy were already part of the team. The rest of it was mostly seniors with not much to lose from publishing without approuval. So you decided to take the risk and publish a sex education special edition. All the content very much not following the strict abstinence school cursus. You didn't care about the consequences. You felt it was important. There were consequences. No more school newspaper from the students for the rest of that year. You and Nancy were allowed back this year. Oups I guess.

With the new special edition behind you, it also means you can now concentrate on school, your college applications and maybe your social life. Tonight was dedicated to working on those applications. Your mother was coming back tomorrow and promised to review them with you. Should you write about your implication in the newspaper and the special editions? Was it a good thing or a bad thing to not follow school rules? It was stressful. You didn't want to screw it up. You had a lot of ambition for college, but it required being accepted and receiving a full scholarship. Your application needs to be perfect.

But now, your head is full of Eddie. His smile, his eyes, his smell... his hands. How can it not? He's at your house tonight. He gave you a nice warm hug when he got here. Hellfire's monthly horror film festival happening in your basement. They invited you but... no thanks to horror movies.

Eddie. Weeks have passed. You two are still playfully flirting. Sometimes spicier than others. Slight touches, whispers, pet names, winks. But never anything more. And boy... you feel horny all the goddamn time around him. You don't even know if you are doing a good job at hiding it most of the times. You are spending more time with him. Not only alone with him, he was now fully part of your friends group. Invited to most of your activities. You loved that he was now confortably included in your circle. But also... it was a constant reminder of how much you liked him. Not just physically. Safe to say he was now the only subject of your fantasies... and you have many involving him. You are so ready to take a step further with him... but was he? He never took it a step further from flirting . Was it only a friendly flirt competition for him? You didn't think so, but there was only one way to know. Usually, you're not a shy person, but now you would risk losing a friend and making things weird in your circle and that would suck.

No way you can concentrate on writing right now. What you need is music. You look through the little cassette collection in your room and pick the perfect one to take Eddie off your mind. A cool music mix Robin made you last summer - Robin's party mix. Upbeat songs to dance too. You plug your headphones in your stereo so you can listen to the music as loud as you want without disturbing movie night and you press play. The sound of Stevie Nicks's Edge of Seventeen fills your ears. You close your eyes and empty your mind, leaving all the space for the music. You slowly start moving your head to the beat, then your whole body. Feeling the music everywhere.

You're a few song in when Hit Me With your Best Shot by Pat Benatar starts. Still fully dancing, you turn around ...to find Eddie leaning on your door frame, arms crossed, full grin on his face. Shit. In your pyjamas - t-shirt and boxer shorts... ok that can be sexy. You can do this. No blushing. You smile at him and continue dancing, hands in the air, exaggerating your movements. To your surprise...Eddie starts dancing to a song he doesn't hear. Trying to match your dancing vibe, smiling. And yes, he is surprisingly good at it even if he's being silly. He gets closer to you and you just dance together. He takes your hand and make you spin before bringing you close to him. Your hand on his chest, his hand on it. His other hand is on your lower back while your other hand finds its way to his neck. He starts slow dancing with you. It doesn't match in any way the beat of the music in your ears...but you don't care. Just enjoying the moment. It feels good. Your hand goes in his hair. He leans closer to you, his forehead in on your forehead. He brings one hand to your cheek and looks at you. He looks nervous, your are too. you bite your lower lip. Is this happening right now?

"Eddie, what's taking so long? Are you taking a shit??" Dustin yells. The other boys laugh.

"Shit. I'm coming! " Eddie says, rolling his eyes and taking a few steps back... He looks at you and kisses your hand before walking out of your bedroom.

"Eddie?" you call.

He turns around to look at you. You unplug your headphones for him to hear the end of the song playing. What a Feeling by Irene Cara.

You smile and shrug your shoulders as you say " Sorry, that's our song now".

He laughs and soflty says "Yeah, that's our song now".

oh god this is way too long, but you did say to make it as long as i want, and i have a lot of thoughts that i need to inflict on the world

i played two castlevania games, both from the nintendo gameboy era, so please don’t get mad at me, gamers

details below the cut, but since i’ll be talking about season three, i need to preface this with content warnings for mentions of: graphic violence, rape and sexual violence, racism, and the holocaust

before i get into it, i usually don’t go for alucard-type characters either, but knowing that he was redesigned to be bishounen sexy specifically because the boring, middle aged man look he originally had in the games wasn’t appealing makes me enjoy him. and he’s fun with trevor and sypha

do like:

the voice acting

it’s all good. i can’t think of any characters whose voices were awkward or fit poorly. they don't make sypha’s va use the standard flat affect or false high voice women tend to be assigned, trevor sounds suitably worn out but not monotone, and alucard sounds exhausted but in a sexy way

and the spanish dub is killer, arguably superior

the animation & design

it isn’t full-on artsy, but it’s definitely got a distinctive style that’s easy to look at. the color use and effects are gorgeous. it’s a story set in the medieval era, and the mixture of desaturated and oversaturated elements works so well with that

dracula’s castle and the belmont bunker aren't revolutionary in design, but they didn't need to be. they're suitably creepy and empty, and i enjoyed them

the monsters were unique enough to have obvious different types, and the scene where a monster commits blasphemy in a church by accusing a priest of committing blasphemy was good writing

this ancient, unfriendly vampire let a human woman walk into his home and tell him he’s got no manners. and that made him fall in love with her. just like that. lisa walked in and handed him his ass, and dracula thought “oh i love her”. and when she was killed (more on this in the bad section), he raised literal hell to destroy the world for doing it

speaking of lisa being killed, it fucks me up that it happened because she convinced him to leave the castle and experience the world. he left her alone to see what she loved so much, only to come back and find that the people he’d come to like- the people lisa had loved so much it drove her to help in a way that got her killed- had burned her at the stake. i love a good tragedy, and that’s good tragedy

the way he weeps when he has to fight alucard?? during a showdown in their home?? the “i must already be dead” moment in alucard’s childhood bedroom??? when he speaks to lisa about killing their boy, her greatest gift to him??? poetic cinema.

the trio’s dynamic

she initially seems to be assigned the role of the adult™️ ie she's the only woman and gets stuck being responsible, but surprise! she’s just as annoying and dumb as alucard and trevor. she dropped a castle she didn’t understand on the ground and didn’t think too hard about it. then she argued about breaking it. i love her

he's got a stupidly low neckline and lower pants. they really leaned into ayami kojima’s redesign, as they should have. his little curl annoys me, though. why the fuck does he have a random section of hair that’s like three inches long when the rest is shoulder length or longer? love that he really looks like lisa

trevor

disgusting. a nasty man whose appearance mirrors his state of mind. he's 50 mental illnesses in a dirty jacket and his coping mechanism is… alcohol? maybe? he’s a mess, and i dig it

him trying his trick of kneeing alucard in the balls during their fight? and finding out it doesn't work? (which…… why doesn't it……?) juvenile but suitable

hector

his love of animals makes him my favorite. normally, i won’t touch anything with this much animal death, but i’m willing to set that aside because hector loves them so much. he’s so sweet and kind, and he loves his monster pets

yes he sided with dracula and has some really fucked up ideas about what constitutes humane treatment of people, and yet i love him. 11/10, but i have a lot of notes

isaac

i support him, including his murdering and his decision to support dracula. dracula throwing him out of the castle to save him was so cruel in that it was an attempt at kindness from a man who hated the whole world, but it was against isaac’s wishes

his time with the captain was great

idk enough about islam to know if he's portrayed correctly and haven’t seen any complaints, but given the show’s track record……… i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not great

the forging

very cool. fresh and interesting! hector creating pet friends is cute and heartbreaking. love isaac for his dedication to reducing, reusing, and recycling

season 2’s big battle with all those vampires

the new version of “bloody tears” is phenomenal

this goes back to the animation, but listen……. it's so good. i loved the smoke vampire, and alucard’s fluid wolf transformations. his flying sword looked really good, and incorporating them together? super good to watch. and trevor’s whip?

the type and level of violence are suitable for what it is. it would be weird for a gritty show like this to be bloodless, but i don't think it would work if it were bloody to the extent of a slasher. it's also more clean violence, if that makes sense. you don’t linger just to look at gore; you see it because stabbing someone spills blood. the games weren't about extended, gritty scenes of realistic murder, so the show sticking with quick, slice and dice type fights fit with what i remembered of them

trevor’s whips

trevor’s weapons don’t follow the physics of normal whips, and they shouldn't. they’re heavily stylized and clearly a fantasy weapon, but they still have rules that they (mostly) have to obey. his morning star-whip hybrid in particular is so good

it’s easy to follow, too. a lot of times, speedy weapons disappear, which is an understandable effect but one i find boring because there’s nothing for me to do. i’m just sitting on my ass with nothing to do

trevor’s whips don’t disappear. they’re fast, but you can always see them. and they have weight! you can see them slow down and gain speed. i don’t need physics to be real; i want movement to be pleasing, and that’s exactly what i get with the whips

don’t like:

fridging lisa

she could have been kidnapped (possibly make dracula think she was dead bc people want to lure out her scary demon husband, idk), then s2 could have ended with her and dracula reuniting as he died. she and alucard go on a trip together to attempt to make amends for the pain dracula wrought in lisa’s name. orrrr she dies a tragic death with him and we’re left to hope that they find each other in the afterlife. do vampires get to go to the afterlife? can alucard reintegrate? can he be happy with his new friends? or will he go back to his crypt and sleep again? will he ever be rediscovered? if so, what will he do? deep questions. i would prefer to cogitate on these instead of experiencing the shitshow that is s3

season 3

they should have ended it with dracula’s death. the quality of storytelling goes down immediately. just plummets. i’m sure there were problems in the first two seasons, but this one is so bad, i genuinely can’t remember

but i may as well get specific, so here we go:

abandoning alucard

trevor and sypha leave their friend alone in his childhood home where he just killed his father. where they helped him kill his father who, as i’ve said too many times, raised literal hell to get revenge for people burning alucard’s mother to death

yt they don’t talk about alucard. they don’t make any plans to touch base ever again. trevor’s entire family got killed. sypha’s culture, from which she’s now estranged, is family-centric. if ever two people should give a shit about alucard and know why alucard shouldn’t be left on his own, it's them

so what the hell is going on?

i don’t need or want lenore. if all she’d done was manipulate hector, i could have lived with that. she’s a villain, so she does bad things. that’s the point. but what she did was a massive escalation. we hadn’t had any sexual violence, and then the last few episodes gave us

the holocaust reference

the imagery at the end of s3 when it’s revealed that the judge has been killing people he’s decided are undeserving to live and collecting their shoes in that barn was chillingly close to images of shoes taken from victims of the holocaust. there's no reason to invoke the holocaust here. it’s unnecessary and in bad taste
