When for an appointment in the morning and it ended early so I proceed to the nearby coffee shop to have my brunch at the Economy Rice (菜饭) stall. From the numerous dishes on display, I chose crispy prawn rolls (虾枣), chicken & black fungus and stewed potato slices to go with rice.

On the way to the MRT train, I spied on the gorgeous confections at Paris Baguette and couldn’t resist the temptation to not eat dessert. Gotten the Blueberry Yogurt Tart (S$9.50) which is topped with glazed blueberries and red chocolate pearls. The light purple yogurt mousse is tangy sweet with marbling of blueberry compote and the sponge cake gave it substance.

In which a shrimp dines with two eels and an octopus

Eating dinner with the octavinelle trio definitely made for an interesting experience.

The four of you were currently eating seafood, having your meals in a kind of style that meant you were all having a bit of everything from the luxorious plates set up across the clothed table. While Floyd tried to reach across the table much to the dismay of Azul and amusement of Jade, you were graciously enjoying your share of fresh shrimp.

"Man, this is so good!" you exclaimed, content with the food you were having. You hadn't felt this well-fed in a long time, and your tasebuds were singing praises of the seafood you'd eaten so far. "This is why shrimp is the best..." you continued, only to trail off when you noticed that the table's commotion had died down and Octavinelle's trio were looking at you.

Or to be more specific, it was Azul and Jade looking at Floyd who grinned a full set of sharp teeth at you.

"Eh heh heh..." he began, his narrow eyes gleaming with barely contained mischief as he looked at you dead-on. "It looks like little shrimpy is committing cannabalism! Isn't that right?" He laughed, blatantly pointing at your dish.

While the other two let out a small chuckle, you clenched your fork even harder. What you wouldn't give for a normal dinner... well, now that Floyd had opened the floodgates, you weren't hesitating to retaliate. Your eyes darted to the various meals across the table. Prawn, squid meat, tuna... there it was! You stabbed your fork into the cooked meat and simultaneously grabbed Floyd's collar, holding him in place. Slowly, you moved your forkful of eel meat closer to Floyd's mouth.

"Eat up, jackass. It's eel meat, special delivery." You glared at Floyd, watching him go silent for a minute before loudly laughing in your face. In the background, you could barely see Jade offer a ball-shaped meat to Azul, who was leaning back in his seat. Right... that was probably the takoyaki.

Because you could never have a normal day here in Twisted Wonderland.

I finished this on Halloween ironically enough, but forgot to post it. I, am so happy with how it turned out. I’ve always wanted to draw Mango in a pirate outfit…and this roleplay gave me the perfect opportunity to.
