"Skyrocket Your Business Success: The Ultimate Guide to Leveraging ChatGPT for Maximum Impact!"
Let’s face it, running a business in 2024 is a bit like juggling flaming chainsaws while riding a unicycle on a tightrope over a tank full of hungry sharks (or maybe that’s just my Tuesday). There are a million things to do, a never-ending inbox, and enough marketing jargon to make your head spin.
Enter ChatGPT, the superhero with a cape made of words and a utility belt full of artificial intelligence. Now, I’m not saying it’s going to solve all your problems (although it can probably write a pretty convincing apology email to your angry supplier), but it can definitely be a valuable asset in your business arsenal.
What in the World is ChatGPT?
Tumblr media
Imagine having a super-powered intern who never needs a coffee break, never complains about bad office lighting, and can whip up a catchy slogan faster than you can say “procrastination.” That’s kind of what ChatGPT is. It’s a large language model, which basically means it’s a computer program that’s really good at understanding and generating human language.
So, How Can This Super Intern Help My Business?
Here’s the fun part: In a surprising number of ways! Let’s break it down:
Tumblr media
Stuck staring at a blank page for your next blog post or social media caption? ChatGPT can be your brainstorming buddy. Give it a few keywords or a sentence about your product, and it’ll churn out ideas, outlines, and even full drafts (although you might want to add your own personal touch). Just think of it as a way to overcome writer’s block without resorting to staring at cat videos for an hour (not that there’s anything wrong with that… maybe).
Tumblr media
Need catchy headlines, product descriptions that sing, or email subject lines that get opened faster than a free pizza coupon? ChatGPT can be your secret weapon. It can help you craft compelling marketing messages that resonate with your target audience. You know, the kind that makes people say, “Wow, this company really gets me!”
Tumblr media
We’ve all been there — dreading the never-ending stream of customer emails. ChatGPT can help you answer frequently asked questions, draft responses, and even power basic chatbots that can handle simple customer inquiries. This frees you up to focus on the more complex issues and, let’s be honest, avoid that feeling of wanting to hide under your desk whenever you see the email notification light blink.
Tumblr media
Sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places. ChatGPT can be your brainstorming partner, helping you generate new product ideas, marketing campaigns, or even solutions to your most pressing business challenges. Think of it as a way to tap into a wellspring of creativity without having to wear those goofy brainstorming hats (although, hey, if that gets your team going, who am I to judge?).
Wait a Minute, Isn’t This Just a Fancy Chatbot?
Well, not exactly. Chatbots are great for answering basic questions, but ChatGPT can do so much more. It can be creative, generate different writing styles, and even understand context. Think of it as the difference between a pre-programmed answering machine and a really helpful (and slightly sarcastic) assistant who can actually understand what you’re asking for.
Is There a Catch?
Of course, there’s always a catch (just like that time you bought those miracle weight-loss pills online). ChatGPT is still under development, so its outputs can sometimes be inaccurate or nonsensical. It’s also not a replacement for human creativity and critical thinking. You’ll still need to edit its work, make sure the information is accurate, and inject your own brand voice. But hey, that’s what makes you the boss, right?
So, How Do I Get Started with ChatGPT?
Tumblr media
The good news is that ChatGPT is readily available online (with a free tier to test it out). There’s a bit of a learning curve, but there are plenty of resources and tutorials to help you get started.
The Final Word: Your Not-So-Secret Weapon Awaits
Tumblr media
Look, ChatGPT isn’t going to magically solve all your business problems. But it can be a powerful tool to help you save time, boost creativity, and streamline your workflow. Do note that it can not completely replace human efforts. So, ditch the flaming chainsaws, ditch the unicycle, and maybe put the hungry sharks on hold for a bit. With Chat GPT by your side, you might just find yourself feeling a little less like a circus performer and a little more like a business rockstar. Just remember it.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on ChatGPT
What is the cost of ChatGPT?
ChatGPT offers a free tier with limited features. They also have paid plans with more capabilities, depending on your needs.
Is ChatGPT safe to use?
Though generally secure, it’s vital to keep in mind that the data ChatGPT creates may not always be reliable. Verify information again and refrain from disclosing private information.
Will I lose my job to ChatGPT?
You are not being replaced by ChatGPT, so relax. It is a tool, not a replacement for your current employment, to help you operate more efficiently and quickly.
Is ChatGPT coder capable?
A programmer is still required even if ChatGPT can generate basic code snippets. It is incapable of handling complex coding tasks or understanding the logic behind the code.
Does ChatGPT support several languages?
Indeed! Languages can be translated by ChatGPT, which can also produce original text forms in a variety of languages.
Can personal projects be completed using ChatGPT?
Without a doubt! ChatGPT is a creative partner that can help you with anything from crafting a standout CV to coming up with ideas for your next book.
My tech skills are lacking. Can I continue using ChatGPT?
Although there is a learning curve, ChatGPT is quite user-friendly. Don’t worry, you can get started with a ton of online lessons and tools.

The Polite Ransacker and the Boy with the Rocktopus
Hey there! Well, look who’s back after a little rendezvous with life’s chaotic rollercoaster! It’s been a whirlwind, let me tell you. I’ve survived some questionable culinary adventures (failed homemade mac’n’cheese), played detective when my car turned into a crime scene, and worn the “bad cop” hat with my kids more times than I care to admit. But amidst the madness, there was a shining moment…

i think it would be too simplistic to say that kinnie shit is the main reason the system zeitgeist is really detached from the literature (especially when some literature IS frequently cited), but i do think that fictional introjects--a documented and completely understandable phenomenon--trying to wed themselves to their sources of inspiration rather than articulating themselves in the real world is a canary in the coalmine for a lot of the other maladaptive patterns we end up seeing.
you could make the case that dissociation is an extreme form of "escape from the self"; to be one person is so intolerable that you escape to another. And then another, and another. so escapism is arguably the driving mode of dissociation.
but if you have these parts of yourself that long to escape BACK to, essentially, a "pre-birth" state, who can't bear to accept the circumstances they're in now, then you're probably more broadly still in an escapist paradigm. and so of course you're gonna be splitting new guys weekly, of course none of you communicate, of course you have these strong and extreme wedges between you and the others and you have these clearly defined boundaries while also, in practice, existing in such a limited context that you haven't really self-actualized.
escapism is an understandable reaction to trauma and severe chronic stress, so rather than dismissing this entire kinnie-system phenomenon as doomed, i think we can build bridges toward an understanding of Living As A System that are more aligned with established and successful therapeutic interventions.
the kinnie-system combo melds two subcultures that magnify maladaptive escapism tenfold. this adds new terminology and points of focus that aren't necessarily relevant or accurate (distinct and discrete identities and roles, "fictive" and "factive" language, source material focus, generally Online behavior and interests), and obscures other experiences (lack of clear identity, blending and blurring, dissociation as a coping mechanism for the stresses of tangible daily life, introjection as a start&not an end) and strategies (expanding the window of tolerance, grounding in the present, unburdening of extreme roles, intra-system cooperation, etc.)
i think as you work toward a grounded view of yourself and accept your reality, you can start to hold yourself more proudly, and own your experiences--even the bizarre one of essentially being a cartoon character ejected from the screen to do dishes.
dissociation is mushy, highly individual, and weird, but also a really practical solution to an impossibly difficult problem. i'd like it if we could change the common vocabulary and perspective to better reflect the diverse and unique experiences of finding a way to live When Guys.

I have learned so much in the past few days and been given so much hope. It doesn't seem like a big deal at first, it's just a silly show. A pirate comedy with awesome LGBTQ representation was canceled - that's the starting point. We're now at the point where the fan base has acquired a billboard ad in Times Square, challenging a major streaming platform for a duel and demanding the final season of Our Flag Means Death.
It is amazingly nice and important to witness the power of such self-organization. In recent years, truly passionate and determined online communities have been devising increasingly clever strategies to achieve their goals, but this whole phenomenon is most exciting to observe when it comes to spontaneous self-organization.
You won't believe it, but everything fits together, because right now I'm reading the world-famous Hungarian network researcher Albert-László Barabási's book 'Linked' and I'm right at the part about the spontaneous self-organization processes that can be observed in nature. When the critical point is reached, order emerges from chaos, both at the level of molecules (when, for example, liquid water turns into ice) and in interlinked networks that can be tracked online.
What does a community need for spontaneous self-organization? A system. A clear goal. When a beloved series is axed, the anger and grief reaches a tipping point after a while (this happened in a few hours, about ten days ago) and begins to morph into something solid and unshakable. It is important that we need organizers, reliable people with connections who share the tasks and the construction of the main pillars of the campaign among themselves.
This is the wonderful thing about a successful campaign: when you have not only enthusiasm, but knowledge and long-term persistence as well. This is how you organize real communities: if the goal is clear, if the will is there, and communication goes swimmingly. It's incredibly inspiring and motivating to be a part of this. I am learning, learning, learning so much.

Effective Social Media Marketing Tips and Tricks
In today's digital age, social media marketing has become an indispensable tool for businesses looking to reach and engage with their target audience. To harness the full potential of social media platforms, it's essential to employ effective strategies. Here are three valuable tips and tricks for successful social media marketing:
Know Your Audience Inside Out: Understanding your target audience is the foundation of a successful social media marketing campaign. Start by creating detailed buyer personas that include demographics, interests, pain points, and online behavior. This knowledge allows you to tailor your content and messaging to resonate with your audience's preferences and needs.Additionally, use the analytics tools provided by social media platforms to gain insights into your audience's engagement patterns. Monitor metrics like post reach, engagement rates, and click-through rates to gauge the effectiveness of your content. Adjust your strategy based on these insights to ensure you're delivering the right content to the right people at the right time.
Tumblr media
Consistency Is Key: Consistency is a vital element of social media marketing success. Develop a content calendar that outlines when and what type of content you'll post on each platform. Posting regularly helps you stay top-of-mind with your audience and encourages followers to engage with your content.Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all your social media profiles. This builds brand recognition and reinforces your business's identity. Use scheduling tools to plan and automate posts, but don't forget to stay responsive to real-time trends and engage with your audience promptly.
Tumblr media
Leverage Visual Content and Storytelling: Visual content, such as images, videos, and infographics, tends to perform exceptionally well on social media. People are naturally drawn to visuals, and they are more likely to share and engage with content that includes compelling imagery. Use high-quality visuals that align with your brand message and storytelling.Effective storytelling is another powerful tool in your social media marketing arsenal. Craft narratives that connect with your audience on an emotional level. Share success stories, customer testimonials, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into your business. Stories help humanize your brand and make it relatable, fostering a deeper connection with your followers.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, successful social media marketing requires a deep understanding of your audience, a commitment to consistency, and a focus on engaging visual content and storytelling. By implementing these tips and tricks, businesses can build a strong online presence, foster customer loyalty, and drive tangible results through their social media efforts.

Loke/Laxus has me intrigued actually, any headcanons for that?
As with all things, I can give it my best shot!
Tumblr media
Loke was furious with Laxus, to a degree above the rest of the guild, when he had the nerve to show his face after leaving the guild to fight Phantom Lord on their own. He attempted to fight Laxus 1v1 for it, but rather than get his ass summarily whooped as anyone else would have, Laxus just let Loke wear himself out trying to hurt him. It wounded Loke's already low self-esteem much more than punching him outright would have.
Any grudge over that disappeared after Tenrou Island, because Laxus was there when everyone needed help and Loke wasn't.
Loke was the one who referred Laxus to Master Bob, having previously been contracted to a Blue Pegasus wizard, thus facilitating Laxus and the Thunder Legion's stay there during Fairy Tail's year of disbandment.
Laxus and Freed (and Evergreen) were all immensely popular among the women there and hoo boy, did that rile up Loke something fierce. Loke was immediately on 100% power, and did everything in his power to try and make his 'turf' his again.
It didn't work.
Because some of these headcanons have to be funny and unserious or I'll eventually run out of steam, this made Loke so pissed the he decided he'd just date Laxus himself so as to keep all the ladies from migrating into his pocket.
Laxus literally agrees for shits and giggles.
Loke is in a pickle because none of his usual so-cheesy-it-actually-works flirting strategies work on Laxus. For that matter, Loke can't fulfill the role he usually prefers to take in relationships, which is the knight in shining armor and the guy who keeps the other party swooning and blushing at all times.
Loke: I'm unseduce-able. You could never meet my high standards. Laxus: puts on an RnB song Loke:
Tumblr media
Because I admittedly had trouble concept-ing this ship as Fairy Tail characters, I'm gonna replace the usual NS/FW section with an AU section:
Loke is the real name of a veteran competitive gamer who goes by the online handle Leo (and yes, he can be a furry if you're the type to stan SonicFox or whatever).
He's serious stuff--your friendly neighborhood gamerbro jocks who think they're hot shit at video games would find their asses virtually nuked if they tried to 1v1 him. Games are his life.
He has just started to really build his empire online and translate the world of success in video gaming into something resembling a celebrity-style dating life, when he's challenged by a newcomer only known by the handle "Thunder God". No pfp, no information known, never speaks over voice chat or types messages. He thinks he'll whoop him like all the rest.
You already know what happens--the shocking upset, and legendary gamer Loke is summarily beaten (probably while streaming in front of like 3,000 people) by this mysterious no-face.
This starts up a very public debate wherein Loke is at risk of losing his title and status if he loses again, should Thunder God show his face--because Thunder God is now out there, casually destroying other gaming legends like some silent, deadly assassin. Loke does some investigating all the way down to hiring white-hat hacker Lucy Heartfilia, and decides to find out who this guy is.
When he finally meets up with the guy, he naturally thinks the guy who answers the door is Thunder God's older brother--actually, what he asks is "are you Laxus' dad?" and the death glare he receives induces f e a r.
For reference, Laxus is a 6'3" masc4masc built like a power lifter. His jawline has probably killed people before and his broody vaguely unhappy stare is more suited to indebted college students than pro gamers. Loke flat-out does not believe him when he says he's the Thunder God.
Admittedly, Loke doesn't look much like the picture of 'pro gamer' either--he's handsome and popular and those stylish blue glasses are now an official part of his merch line.
It doesn't take much convincing, though--one round at Super Smash Bros with the most embarrassing joke of a character Laxus can find, and the proof is right there. From there on out, a rivalry is cemented, with Loke swearing to beat Laxus in an upcoming tournament and Laxus basically going "yeah, whatever".
Said rivalry starts to turn to affection when Laxus actually...asks Loke to hang out some time. It turns out Laxus is kind of lonely, and Loke basically won't deny him attention if it comes with an attempt to finally beat him at their preferred game. Loke takes it as an opportunity to try and figure out Laxus' tricks, while Laxus uses it to get a cute guy to talk to him.
When Loke actually starts to see Laxus in a different light--as opposed to some upstart asshole threatening his throne--is when Laxus shows him his garage. It's basically a merch display except instead of merch it's priceless gaming arcade memorabilia, all working. You turn off the lights, and the whole place lights up in flourescent and neon lightning like some arcade-hopping teen's fantasy in the 90s. Laxus' dad (Ivan) was a deadbeat who gamed all day instead of finding a job, which is why Laxus is a missed bill away from being destitute...but he left Laxus some killer gaming instincts.
It turns out Laxus is kind of an 'ex-con' of the gaming world--information Lucy and her hacker friend Levy manage to dig up. He was banned from several gaming tournaments because of violent behavior and threats, rendering all his skill at gaming virtually irrelevant. Lucy and Levy recommend using this for blackmail's sake--either Laxus throws the tournament so Loke can keep his title, or Loke can expose his identity if he wins, thus rendering the victory null.
Loke can't go through with it, obviously. It turns out all that time spent with Laxus resulted in *choking noise* actually liking him.
The tournament happens, and predictably, the last two to make it past all the brackets are Loke and Laxus. The two major differences between this match and all the others is that a) Loke actually sort of holds his own, having practiced against Laxus so many times and b) Laxus actually makes use of text chat. They send messages back and forth throughout their fight.
It's long-winded, but Laxus wins, effectively becoming the Rey Mysterio of the gaming world. Loke, however, gets to keep his reputation intact by taking his career off in a new direction. After the courtesy 'good game man' messages left in chat, Loke types out 'wanna go out to dinner sometime'.
Laxus accepts in front of like a million viewers and boom, they're a power couple now.

Prompt: allegations (one of maxiel being spotted making out with a man or something?)
kinktober day 26: outed
(previous days)
max/daniel. 844 words. cw: being outed but tbh it's ok.
-
The pictures could have been so much worse.
Daniel thinks it’s kind of funny to be outed to the world against their will but shrug it off with the knowledge that a few short moments after these photos were taken Daniel sucked Max’s dick on a deck chair.
What a field day media would have had if the photographer stuck around just five minutes longer.
It’s not funny, but. It kind of is.
Daniel sighs a bit as he scrolls through the pictures on his phone; taken with a long-distance lens from god knows where, it’s him and Max on the balcony of their vacation rental, shirtless in swim trunks. There’s a succession of images of them leaning on the railing to look at the ocean, Max pointing at something out on the water, leaning in to kiss each other.
They’re very clearly very happy in the photos, at least. In one of them Max is laughing and it’s more smiling than kissing. Daniel’s pretty sure he’d just told Max he wanted to suck him off right there on the balcony, in that one.
The photos are… cute, dare he say. Sweet. Intimate in a romantic way. Two people, comfortable, happy together.
Daniel’s had his phone on DND for the last hour, too overwhelmed with the notifications and emails and calls from his team. Max’s phone is much the same, left in the bedroom to forget about while they sort out their feelings about all this.
Max has been weirdly calm. A short nod when they were alerted to the images hitting the internet, a sigh as he looked at them, and… a soft smile – “because we do look rather cute, Daniel”.
Daniel swipes back through the images one more time before he locks his phone and sets it down on the sofa, arm squeezing around Max’s shoulders where Max is tucked into his side. He’s been quiet. Thinking. Processing. They both have.
“Any thoughts Maxy?” Daniel asks, presses a kiss to Max’s hair. They’re home in Monaco now, at least, and get the comfort and familiarity of their own space to deal with all this.
People online will speculate and talk but no one will know the real truth. The years they’ve been together, loved each other, that it’s not casual, not a fling, not a headline rendez vous.
“It is what it is, no?” Max says against his chest, shrugging a little, calm as ever. “I am of course not ashamed of us and it is unfortunate someone decided to do this but we are here now so we move on,” he says and Daniel just. Loves him. Nothing sticks. Max lets things roll off his back so easily, a shrug and a nod, and he’s on to the next thing. Daniel could take notes, he knows.
“Hm,” Daniel hums a little, thinking it over in his head. Their teams have been on them all morning to organize a strategy about this. Press releases, maybe interviews, approaches to handling it.
There’s nothing to handle. They’re in love. They’re together. They’re happy. Just like every other driver on the grid with a girlfriend. No strategy for them.
“So maybe I’ll post on Instagram,” Daniel says, reaching for his phone again to unlock it. “Just, say we’re together and that’s that,” he tells Max, already opening the app.
“Okay, Daniel,” he says, pushes himself up from being curled against Daniel. “I’ll get my phone,” he tells Daniel as he gets up to head for the bedroom.
Daniel frowns a little as he looks through his photo album to decide what to post. He settles for a photo of the same trip. It’s at a private dinner, candlelit and dark, Max across the table from him in his signature white button down. Daniel smiles at the memory, laughs a little. In the photo his hand is extended across the table, holding Max’s, the little ‘3’ tattoo clearly visible on his hand. Max is smiling at him, at the camera, and it’s perfect.
Max comes back with his phone, sits next to Daniel and leans over his shoulder, nods his approval at the photo Daniel chose, and the caption he’s typed out.
“Our privacy was violated today but those pictures are me and the man I love. I think this one is better though. @ maxverstappen1”
Max shares it to his story with a heart emoji and they lock their phones again.
When they’re re-settled back on the couch, cuddled up again, wrapped up in each other, Max looks up at Daniel and smiles.
“It does not feel that scary,” he says, chin resting on Daniel’s chest so he can look at him. “I thought probably I would feel worse but it is kind of alright,” Max continues and Daniel, weirdly, agrees.
They have nothing to be ashamed of. They’re in love. They’re long-term. They’re committed.
“You’re right,” Daniel tells him as he strokes his fingers through Max’s hair. “We’ll be alright, hm?”
“Mmm,” Max agrees, rests his head back down and closes his eyes.
They will.

Keeping the sees train rolling; what kind of video games is each member's favorite you think?
ohohoho >:3 thank you for asking because i have Opinions on this matter
minato: hm once again a slight cop out answer because of the hermit social link, but i do think he's an MMO player. despite having fully convinced himself that he's antisocial, he in fact loves playing with other people, but like, for long periods of time not just in short online matches yknow? though he would run his party like he runs his team in tartarus and would probably scare off some players who are a little less intense than he is ahsflkjhsdf, but once he found his People they would love this funky little guy who treats the game like its a real life fight to the death
kotone: open world adventure games!! particularly the ones that have lots going on in their worlds, rather than just, yknow. large maps without much going on. i think she'd love running around just collecting sidequests and weird items and getting super attached to various unimportant side characters who have like 5 lines of dialogue total and 3 of them are just "howdy there", "what's up?" and "until next time."
yukari: i don't see her as one to sit down and play for a really long period of time or play religiously every day, so i think more ""casual"" games that she can play with friends are her faves. not just party games but games like minecraft that she can just hang out and mess around in with her buddies (disclaimer i havent played minecraft for more than like an hour sorry if its actually super hard and i just dont know)
junpei: i think he plays pretty widely but has a particular fondness for RPGs. he definitely likes a game that's not too hard or demanding, but makes him feel super cool and gives him a big dopamine hit. probably not a huge fan of most multiplayer games because he's a bit of a sore loser? but he likes super casual party-type games like mario kart and stuff bc its hard to get mad playing them.
akihiko: soulsborne-like games. i know many many games get compared to soulsborne games but what i mean here is: games with a very high skill ceiling that reward your practice and composure by making you feel like the bossest bitch alive when you finally succeed. i think he'd get really sucked into them. but i think he would prefer singleplayer games like dark souls over, say, fighting games
mitsuru: the game needs to have some kind of tangible measure of success because she is going to fucking Succeed in it. she is going to get One Million Billion points. she is going to rack up All The Gold. she is going to get Every Item. i actually think she likes "casual" style games like yukari does, but she does not play them in a casual manner At Fucking All. if she's playing minecraft she has fifty chests full of diamonds while everyone else is still building dirt houses
fuuka: rhythm game fan spotted. someone walks in while she's about to full combo a hard song on sadistic difficulty and she makes the absolute most angry sound anyone has ever heard her make (an insistent "SHHHH!") and then ten seconds later after she's won the song she doesn't even apologize, she was so in the zone she didn't even realize she was acting in a way that would usually mortify her. its the autism btw
aigis: i wanna say she likes visual novels and strategy games. i think she would be absolutely enraptured by a good enough visual novel (although she would be a bit perplexed by them at first), and a strategy game i think would tickle her brain in the right way to make her feel satisfied without becoming monotonous or a slog (which i think would be her experience with action games--they would be very rote and unfun to her because fighting is like Baked Into Her Code so they don't really feel like recreation).
ken: call of duty player. KIDDING i see him as a fan of older arcade style games. he probably unironically says he was born in the wrong generation bc he prefers galaga to cod or whatever. he likes games where you can rack up a big high score. kind of similar to mitsuru in that regard.
shinjiro: probably not a huge player but kotone introduces him to simulation games (farming sims and animal crossing in particular) and he gets obsessed with them. but he absolutely refuses to admit it to most people because he has a reputation to uphold dammit. the only people who get to know are the protags (they're nosy af), akihiko (also nosy and also they're kind of attached at the hip so it was inevitable), ken (shinji can't lie to him), and aigis (koromaru is a snitch)

What's the deal with these BNFs like JoLa and such lmao? Sorry I wasn't chronically online during GOT so I had no idea this was a thing until recently LOL.
Oh man, nonny, you are really taking me back. BNFs or “Big Name Fans” are one of the worst aspects of ASOIAF/GOT fandom in my humble opinion. I think the fact that there has been such large gaps in between books, a lot of fans are really desperate for content and thus BNFs are created to fill that need for new ASOIAF content, their word only being surpassed by George. Most BNFs have one or two good takes/theories that got them big and then are uniformally idiots in everything else they say, but the fandom takes them as gospel because they’ve been around so long or were right about one really important thing. A lot of the biggest of the BNFs originated on the westeros.org forums and actually interacted occasionally with George back when he still did stuff like that, and now are considered authorities on the series. The most successful BNFs are probably Elio and Linda who now actually work with George and co-wrote AWOIAF with him (and they’ve had their own very stupid drama that I cannot be bothered to remember. @starkmaiden probably remembers it though. She’s my go to fandom drama lorist)
A lot of the worst but most widely accepted theories can be traced back to a BNF, and since the books have been so slow in coming, these theories ended up just becoming part of the fabric of the fandom. It also doesn’t help that most BNFs are absolute divas that hate it when they end up being wrong or having pushback. I remember rolling my eyes at BryndenBFish who had particularly influential (but often very dumb) theories who I believe left the fandom in a huff and deleted all his stuff. The worst BNF fans in my opinions are the ones who made super long videos or podcasts about the most inane details (I’m taking specifically about Lucifermeanslightbringer here since I ended up listing to like ten hours of the Bloodstone Compendium trying desperately to understand why he was so popular)
On tumblr during GoT, most of the BNFs here were part of the asoiafuniversity account, (including the lovely JoLa) which branded itself as neutral but was decidedly not lol, and had particular drama with people who asserted the Dark Dany theory, which ended up being true, lol. I think they even straight up banned contributions that supported “Mad Dany” at one point. Most BNFs tend to be pro-jonerys, pro-Tyrion, pro-Dany, intensely into Targaryen history (and weirdly a lot of them were really into Stannis before he bit it. The Stannis the Mannis faction was crazy but also kinda fun lol) I’ve always been pro-Bran, pro-Catelyn, and pro-Sansa, so I never really got too into the BNFs, but I did accept that Tyrion, Jon, and Dany were the three heads of the dragons before I read ADWD because everyone else seemed to think that was the case.
And that to me is the biggest problem with BNFs, that a lot of them still espose theories and takes that they came up with before AFFC/ADWD were published and they refuse to budge even though there’s clearly been a shift. (This was before the show ended, which changed a lot of the fandom landscape)
(I also think that a lot of them couldn’t analyze their way out of a paper bag, but that seems to just be me lol. The POV trap is very real for most of these people.)
I’ve also noticed that a lot of BNFs are also Wheel of Time fans, and sometimes use that series to theorize about the end of ASOIAF, which is uh, a strategy I guess. (I know George likes it and all but I think the series have very different vibes, and George has listed series he was drawing on and I don’t think WoT was on that list. Somebody somewhere compiled it, and I think LoTR and The Dragonbone Chair were on it.)
The greatest hits of the BNFs in my opinion are that Tyrion, Jon and Dany are the three heads of the dragon and are going to save the world, which was widely accepted as the ending to the series, by pretty much everyone who was anyone. Season 8 killed that stone dead though, big lol from me. Some people still believe it though for some reason. Some three heads of the dragon propenents also believed it in conjunction with the “Tyrion is secretly a Targaryen” theory which has like one piece of actual evidence, that Aerys had a thing for Joanna, and the weight of Tyrion is Tywin’s son thematic narrative against it.
My favorite offshoot of the three heads of the dragon theory is the curtain of light one, which is simply *chef’s kiss* Basically the curtain of light that Bran sees at the edge of the world is entirely literally and in no way a metaphor, and Bran will have nothing to do with it. Instead, Jon and Dany are going to fuck in the curtain of light to save the world while Tyrion awkwardly watches, and the baby they conceive will be the messiah. AMAZING stuff right there. And because this brilliant take was thought up by a BNF, it actually gained a fair amount of traction.
Other highlights include screeching about the “Main Five” in which they only grudgingly include Bran in order to exclude Sansa from having any relevance to the big endgame, that Catelyn is an absolute bitch responsible for all evils in the world, that Tywin is the biggest mastermind in Westeros, that f!Aegon is definitely fake with no room to debate, Val will be plot relevant to Jon somehow (as his future Queen for those who aren’t super into Jon and Dany endgame), Stannis will take WF, Jaime is going to be redeemed, and Azhor Ahai is some eleborate metaphor for the nature of the universe.
Say what you will, but BNFs really did fill some of the content void while we all wait for TWOW but a lot of them were absolutely batshit and their insane takes were taken extremely seriously by most of the fandom. Some of them even did rounds at conventions I believe. There are some BNFs still around and kicking but a lot of them left permanently after the show ended, which fair enough. The meltdowns during s8 were spectacular and many. Almost makes up for how shitty the show’s writing was lol.
My pet BNF was JoLa, and I even had some civil interactions with her about non Jonsa metas, related to her one good contribution to the fandom, the Dead Ladies Club. She had some of the wildest takes about Dany despite her constantly claiming she wasn’t that invested in non-Lannister theories and ships.
The BNFs were a fascinating phenomenon that you really had to experience in real time to get the full breadth of insanity. The most crazy takes being taken as basically canon really made me feel like I was losing it, or straight up reading different books.

Alright, let’s break it down:
Tumblr media
While unconfirmed, this “news” is coming out just weeks after Charles vocally defended his race engineer, Xavi, implying that much of the mistakes and miscommunication stemmed from the working conditions within the team, particularly in 2022. After the race in Baku (Ferrari’s most successful weekend in 2023 to date) Charles took the time to explicitly thank and praise Xavi over team radio. Earlier in the year, Charles mentioned in a Twitch stream that the people he trusts the most include his family, his personal trainer Andrea...and his race engineer, Xavi.
Now, the team made costly strategic mistakes and wrong tyre choices (often failing to take Charles’s feedback and preferences into consideration) last year while...well, attempting to stay in the championship fight.
Xavi is a face and a name everyone knows. For most people, especially with only a surface interest in a team’s inner workings, they will know the drivers, the team principal...and the race engineers. It’s incredibly easy to make someone like Xavi a scapegoat because he’s a tangible being you can point your finger at. Just look at how people get carried away nearly week in, week out, pinning the blame on Charles’s race engineer for everything from strategy to tyre choice, which do not fall under the umbrella of his responsibilities. As a race engineer, he’s the bridge between the pitwall and the driver. He’s being fed information regarding decisions made by those sitting on the pitwall, including the strategists. He is not the one making those decisions. Until we get a pitwall cam + radio channel specifically, we likely won’t know what the hell is going on over there.
Has Xavi made mistakes? Of course. I think every race engineer has, at some point, made mistakes or had a disagreement with their driver. Not saying everyone has to love the guy, but is there really no way to criticize someone without resorting to abuse and threats? I can’t help but note that a lot of that is often coming from those who balk when Charles is on the receiving end of similar treatment online. It’s not okay to cross a certain line when it comes to criticizing Charles, and it’s not okay to cross a certain line when it comes to criticizing Xavi, simple as. Not to mention there seems to be a lot of projecting going around and often Charles’s own feelings and perspective get invalidated because they don’t fit a certain accepted narrative.
Anyway, point being, it’s always easier to blame it all on the guy people know (and conveniently already have a negative opinion about) and throw him to the wolves rather than dig deeper and eliminate the root of the problem. And here’s where I hope Fred’s approach differs from Mattia’s.
Let’s be real, this team has had miscommunication and strategy issues pre-Xavi, currently has them, and very likely will continue to have these very same issues even if he’s gone, until something at the core of the team begins to change for the better.

Losing your Twitter Audience: Some Shit of the Top of  My Head, by Me
Reposting a Twitter thread I just made because it's got a lot of thoughts I've had stuck in my head lately:
I don't have a fully-formed version of these thoughts, but I think what a lot of artist are asking when they say "where will we go after twitter" is actually asking "where are all of the normal people going to end up?" I can name a half-dozen sites that are ready and waiting for more artists to come flooding onto their platform. I'm sure there are just as many for writers, musicians, filmmakers, everything else. The actual question everyone needs an answer to is where is the AUDIENCE going.
I've been terminally online for well over two decades at this point. I've been obsessed with the internet since middle school and I can honestly say I've never seen anything like twitter's user base in my entire goddamned life. I've never seen a website that EVERYBODY uses. The closest comparison I have is Facebook, which was really the first internet community that normal people ever truly appreciated. At it's core though, Facebook was a tool that kept you connected with people you knew in real life. As much as it changed, that idea was its bones. Twitter isn't really like that. It doesn't have shared calendars or photo albums or a base instinct to keep you hooked into communities you're already in. Twitter has performance in it's core. It's a bullhorn you pick up to shout to as many people as possible. As much as it's changed that's still it's core feature, the thing it's always going to want to do. That's why it's so appealing for every performer in the world, and I think since most people who don't want to be on stage want to watch a show, that's why it got so huge.
So a bunch of performers can reach enormous audiences and a bunch of us managed to make a living off of it. The question now that this stage is burning down with us on it is where is the next one, and I just don't think this massive audience is ever going to move in unison. I think the thing we all need to be prepared for is that we're going to fragment. We're going to find our own corners again and the more savvy members of our audiences are going to find those same corners as they seek out what they love, but our causal viewers will veer off. Twitter has been an incredible tool for us to put our art in the faces of people who would never think to look for it. This was a big part of what the people who found success on Facebook benefitted from as well, the audience who treated social media like television.
The people who are just looking for an entertainment box to turn on and comfort them without effort are most likely never going to use a Pillowfort, or a Tumblr, or a Cohost, and DEFINITELY not a Mastodon, because they all require a base level of interaction and engagement. And to be clear, this isn't me calling those people stupid, or a "bad" audience. People have their own lives and their own interests. Curating a feed of content requires effort and seeking out new artists is a skill. A lot of people just want to crash after they got off work. So those people aren't going to follow us to new sites. Either because those new sites are improved, but more esoteric, or just because signing up for a new site is a hassle of it's own. We're going to lose that audience. Period. Mourn them if you need to, but accept that.
I think success for artists online in the future is going to look a lot more like what it was in the early 00's-10's. Artists and willingly-engaged audiences seeking each other out. I just don't think putting as many eyes as possible on our work will be a winning strategy. Instead of finding as many people as possible, we need to be focused on finding the right people. 100 followers who are excited that their you, specifically, just posted are as valuable as 1000 followers who don't remember you that well and just want to see some cool art. A lot of people stopped trying to find their 1,000 true fans and focused completely on reaching 10k, 50k, 100k followers, no matter how closely they're paying attention. Honest to god, I think the later is going to be suicide in five years.
FWIW, I've never actually been any good at doing that. The biggest following I've ever had in my life is a little over 3,000 followers in TikTok. I think I just feel weird seeing a bunch of artist who have "made it" panic that they'll be losing everything when Twitter's gone. If you have 10k, 50, 100k followers right now, I don't think it's useful to focus on how many you're about to lose. Instead focus on who the best 10% of those followers are, the ones who've supported you financially and by sharing your work, do what you can to meet them where they live.
Anyway this started as an attempt to excise a stray thought I've had stuck in my head all week, didn't mean to spend 45 minutes on it. The point is get ready to post like it's 2007 again. Best case scenario, the internet is going to be asking a little more effort from all of us pretty soon, but I think at the end of the day if things go right we're all going to come out the other side better for it. If you made it this far, dig through your feed, pick one or two of your favorite artists who have links in their bio to give them money, then give them a little money. I promise you they'll notice.
