Hearing those words really made you go silent. Even if your feelings were the same, saying words wasn’t available.

“... Your silence tells me that you are surprised.”

“Oh— Sorry! I do return your feelings!! I was just taken off guard…”

Hearing your words makes my eyebrows raise, and the muscles within my jaw slightly part my lips.

You stare at her, worried you’d put her in a state of shock or something.

“I. Appreciate your reciprocated feelings..” Mach turns her head away when she sees your clueless expression.

I let out a breath, collecting the courage to ask, “Would you.. Like to receive the label as “My partner”?”

You smile at her nervousness, “Ya! Would you like to be my—”

She hugs you, hiding her face away from your view

“Yes. I do.”

It seems she’s too shy to hear the word, “Girlfriend”.

It’s… Awkward between you two.

It doesn’t really seem awkward for Mach, but you’re even more nervous around her presence, as if you two were just strangers!

But you don’t avoid her of course, why would you do that?

Mach enjoys quality time, physical touch isn’t her strong suit— But for you she doesn’t mind♡︎

Most of the quality time you two spend together is you checking out the obbies she creates

If you want to try them, she slightly hesitates but says yes

She watches over you very carefully, making sure to catch you the second after you fall

She’ll never get disappointed at you failing to complete her obbies

At first she doesn’t turn on the fire wall, but if you’re up for a challenge, she turns it on.

She’s smiled at you enjoying her obby many times

If you do complete it, she instantly praises you and talks about your skills

Her favorite times is when you both are watching other players play her obby

Looking at you sleeping so peacefully is like listening to cat purrs, calming.

wanted to make a lil something for the blog so it doesn’t look so empty :3 hope y’all pest fans enjoy!!

it would take a long, long time before pest even CONSIDERED you as a potential romantic partner. he’s antisocial and quite a bit mean, so initially— the guest is pushing you away. whether it’s by attempting to insult you or simply just ignoring you, they never wants to see your face. again. you’ll have to put in a ton of effort to even reach stage 1, friendship!

if you haven’t already given up and accepted your losses, you’ll notice a change when pest starts giving you longer answers, and actually listens to you sometimes. one word responses!!?? oh, fun, now it’s four, or sometimes an actual sentence if he’s in a good mood!!! yip yip, hurray!

depending on your love language pest may or may not be uncomfortable with it. he’s all for acts of service, words of affirmation, and even a bit of quality time, but physical touch is a big no. gift giving is a gray area unless it’s something useful. why couldn’t you have just given them the money you used to buy the present instead of this dumb thing?

pest DOES canonically have aspd so things may get a little rough. you’ll have to be patient and work cooperatively with them, and if he likes you enough, he’ll try, too. there may be times where you think he doesn’t care, that he’s moved on, but you’ve got it all wrong. sometimes they just needs a break. but he’ll always come back.

if you ever do manage to get consent for a little kissy, there may be something in the way... his mandibles!!! at worst they’ll brush against your cheeks and tickle you, which is something pest may be kind of worried about, but you always laugh it off. you think their anatomy is interesting, so when you tell him that, it can get him a little flustered.

feeling like taking on a little challenge? if you don’t already speak japanese, pest is going to tease you by whispering things in your ear that you can’t understand. whether it’s something cute and romantic, or stupid and funny, is up for your interpretation. eventually though- if you express enough interest, they’ll try and teach you a few words.

while a relationship with pest may start off slow and be a little rocky at times, as long as you’re patient and understanding with them, you’ll get that in return. he’s a very “one hand washes the other” guy, so treat him right, and you’ll be just fine.

I mean you could ask her anyyy question about universe or planets and she’ll answer swiftly, and every answer she gives is correct, honestly she loves it when you ask those silly questions. she enjoys it when your face lights up whenever she gives you facts about the universe or her adventures.

𝒢𐑞　⠀𓈒　Mach sometimes asks you to test her new Obbys for the players, if your not a pro at it its totally fine. once you end up falling she’ll teleport and scoop you up before you hurt yourself by the hard metal floor or the incinerator. however if you do end up hurting yourself before she can get to you, she’ll make sure to take care of any burns or wounds you might’ve gotten. and she’ll apologize about the whole thing. youre very precious to her in her words. like something she cannot lose. once you do recover from your wounds she’ll make sure to take you a planet with beautiful scenery and will stop by creme’s ice cream shop to grab you your favorite ice cream.

𝒢𐑞　⠀𓈒　Mach’s sleeping situation is interesting indeed, however she doesn’t really sleep at night really, shes mostly busy all night or sometimes she does have nightmares. which does keep her awake all night, if that does happen then she’ll usually just stay in bed and stare at the ceiling or drown herself in work. or she’ll just teleport to the nearest planet in mind that has beautiful scenery. however the best option she always does is go to you. She usually just cuddle in bed with you, resting her chin on your shoulder and holding you close. and the nightmares do stop and shes able to get some rest. and once shes in your presence she seems to calm down more.

𝒢𐑞　⠀𓈒　Mach honestly loves to slow dance with you, its one of many things she enjoys to do with you, if you cannot dance its alright. she’ll teach you. and once you get the hang of it, she’ll usually lead you and at the end of the slow dance she’ll dip you down while also having one hand of your waist and one hand on your face before kissing you before pulling you back up and continuing dancing with you. she finds it amusing when you get flustered.

It was an average day. Nothing new was happening. Just an average day of waking up, going on the elevator, then going to work.

After work, you were exhausted. Like everyday, people were mean, demanding, ignorant of the fact you were a person too. You sighed while waiting for the elevator door to open.

You counted the seconds.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5…

*DING!*

Your attention moved to the elevator doors. They opened and you stepped inside, looking around at who was with you.

Nobody.

Then you felt something touch your shoulder. You yelped and looked behind you quickly.

You saw a woman, covered completely in black fur, staring at you with big circular glasses that were surprisingly dark. Dark, or she simply had no eyes. You might have been staring a little too much, because she tilted her head , and looked at you with a mildly worried expression.

“Are you okay? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost! OH-!” The lady then quickly looked behind her, and looked all around the elevator. “Well.. I don’t SEE anything… THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT THERE!!!” She seemed.. oddly paranoid.

“O-oh no! It's okay!” You stated, not wanting to stress her out. “I’m just looking at.. how fluffy you are!” You tried to sound respectful, as you have never seen a being made fully out of hair, it wasn't a bad thing.

She looked back at you, with a large grin.

“Oh! Thank you! I don't get complimented on my hair much…” The woman then squinted at your face. Out of nowhere, she placed both of her hands on each side of your face. She seemed to be examining your features. “And you have such pretty eyes! OH AND-” She paused and moved her hands up to her own face, she seemed almost excited. “Such a well-shaped nose!”

You didn’t exactly know how to respond, but you thought it was a nice and creative compliment.

“Uhm.. thank you!” You responded, awkwardly. A strange hairy woman just touched your face, but she seemed to be trying to be nice. Her hair was surprisingly soft, for how mangled it looked. “What's your name?”

“I'm Bive. What's your name you… HUMAN?”

“It’s Y/N!”

“Y/N… such an interesting name..” Bive murmured, “Well I decided I like you Y/N! Let us become better friends from here!”

★ To get with Pest, I'd take a WHOLE lot of effort for him to even begin to think of you in a romantic manner. Even starting up a friendship with him is difficult, so you better bet this is going to be quite the challenge.

★ But somehow, some way, you two lovebirds end up in a fresh, brand new, relationship together.

★ Pest will likely keep you at an arms length just as you two were in friendship. Not too close, not too far away, but still out of his personal little space. Even though he trusts you as he would a close friend of his, he doesn't trust you enough to get too close. It just makes him a tad bit uncomfortable.

★ His primary love language is quality time and his secondary is acts of service. He won't engage in physical touch or affection early on in the relationship, the most he'll do is put a hand on your shoulder and rub it gently, basically his way of getting a feel for physical affection.

★ A good while into your relationship he'll start advancing his affections. Something like pressing his cheek to yours and whispering something (you probably don't understand) in Japanese. More than likely they’re sweet nothings that he doesn’t want to say in a language you can understand. It'll embarrass him far too much to say it to your face.

★ At some point, he'll start to feel more comfortable touching you (in private, as PDA is a hard no for him) cuddling, holding hands, laying next to each other; all that romantic jazz.

★ Gets you (very much stolen) gifts he thinks you'll like. If it's small enough he'll just sneak it into your pocket with a sticky note attached to it and if it can't fit he'll just throw it at you and scitter away. He doesn't know how to approach you in gift-giving situations.

★ If anybody insults you in his presence or harasses you expect Pest to take action. He is not afraid to throw a punch if they continue bothering you. He's not the kind of person to let people have their way with you, no sir!

★ Doesn't outwardly show a lot of possessive behavior, but when he's jealous and feels as if the other person is challenging him, he will, without a doubt, hiss at them and give them a sharp glare in the form of narrowing eyes in hopes the person would get the message and scram. He doesn't want his or your time being wasted by some nobody.

★ He listens to every word you say; that includes any details about your day, yourself, or others. Pest may seem careless, but he is very attentive, especially when you are the one speaking. Somebody annoyed you today? He'll have a word with them. So (Insert food item) are/is your favorite food? He'll definitely keep that in mind next time he's in the kitchen. You had a terrible day? He knows just what will help. Any detail, minor or major, is running through his head as soon as you say the word.

obligatory this is not beta read LMAO its 6 am but i saw the ask and i started Writing sorry if i messed up 202049823008 words and have the grammar of an infant /exag

unsurprisingly, he is.. a bit of a dick! generally cold and silent and will probably look dazed when you show them affection. he's very dense as well, subtle little things go RIGHT over his head.

he has his struggles with emotional intimacy as well, gift giving and acts of service end up being their primary love languages. he loves to give you gifts of little things he creates and has definitely made a little machine guy for you! it doesn't do much though, just flashes some little messages of care.

continuing on his machinery, they spend a LOT of time on those things. its one of the only things you'll get him to talk about for more than a few sentences - absolutely in-love with the way robotics work. that being said, they will 100% ramble to you. they're normally not that emotional, but it makes him really happy when someone listens to him about his robotics. he'll go out of his way to help you understand, even!

more physical stuff, their mandibles do get in the way sometimes. the ones on his mouth are a little rough but kept clean, so they aren't too bad when it comes to kisses. the head ones though can be a little uncomfortable, having to slot yourself in-between them and they've scratched against you a few times. they've never hurt you though, only tickle a little, caused for a few funny moments.

cuddling, hugs, all that stuff with them they're INSANELY open for. will he ever ask for it himself? no, but its almost like he can sense when you're about to ask with how fast he says yes. he might be a teensy bit touch starved, but you'll never get them to admit that lmao

you, 100%, WILL catch him staring. he is captivated in you, that much is obvious - over and over again staring at you with the most love struck eyes before jumping and quickly looking away every time you catch him. he'll play it off like it hasn't happened every time, don't even get him to TRY and admit it you will FAIL

more of a detail, but he chitters a lot when you both cuddle - more or less mumbling to him. yet, it makes little rumbles in his chest and its obvious when he's doing it. you aren't supposed to know what he's saying, its in his native language of course - but its all sweet nothings. he does it subconsciously, but its cute nonetheless.

to end on a rather soft note, he loves you more than you ever know no matter what. you infect his mind, his work, his hobbies and he hates it in a way - but all in all he doesn't want it gone. :}

How does one go about describing how piercing the screams of people are, how internally shaking the howls of fear and pure sound of destruction are to the body?

How does one go about describing, how the sky was cracking like fragile glass- revealing the true darkness outside which sucked in any life form it could?

You come to the realization, you answered those questions yourself. And still, you are grappling with the fact, that those questions are now your reality- your universe.

Despite everyone’s hopes and dreams of the empire, who would conquer all universes under its mighty fist, was this the inevitable punishment you would face for your sin of pride?

You shake your head, you can’t be thinking of trivial things now. The only pride that you have now, is the one person you are desperately seeking among all the chaos. Even if that person, was the one who caused it in the first place.

You see a figure moving in the corner of your eye, in the darkness of the alley while no sane person who was running away from the void was looking.

You weren’t a sane person though, and you doubt that neither was she.

“Mach?” You called out, entering the dark alley.

You were met with Mach, your secret lover, bloodied and shaking in the alley like a stray cat. An unfamiliar sight, for the hardened noble woman you knew- but you also knew she was far more than that.

“Where..” You were about to ask, but you both knew where Mach had been.

“Mach, we need to get out of here..”

“… I know that.” Mach sighs out, still wary and shaken.

What Mach didn’t expect though, was for you to held out your bruised up hand.

“Together.” You reaffirmed, “Im not leaving your side.”

“You will only be in more danger,” Mach hid her hand. “It’d be better if we-“

“No!”

Mach would be confused at your sudden shout, at your resistance to what would be the most logical move. She was probably the most traitorous being in the universe by now.

“No?”

“Mach, when I vowed to forever serve you and protect you, I meant it!”

“Even without the vow, my feelings for you still remain! I still want to be beside you! No matter if the entire universe is against us or breaking apart!”

“I don’t want to lose you.. I don’t want to never see you again..”

sometimes gnarpy’s uniform can get a little torn in battle, leaving xem looking a bit ridiculous, and complaining all the way back to you. that’s one thing you noticed, too— gnarpy always comes back. regardless of how much xe claims xey don’t need your help, xey don’t like you and never will, xey always find xeir way to you. as tv girl once said: “you know where to find me, and i know where to look”

back to my ORIGINAL point— the uniform. gnarpy may know... a lot of things, but one thing xey don’t know? how to sew. even a little hole has xem clueless. how did xey handle this problem before you? throwing the whole suit out, whether it’s salvageable or not, and retrieving a new one. that whole process nearly made your brain explode

you explain the concept of sewing to gnarpy and xey don’t seem to be having it. managing to sit the alien down on a stool with some bribery, you take your time patching up the hole, the fabric appearing as good as new. the whole time gnarpy was shaking a tad bit, somewhat fearing you’d poke xeir skin on accident, but seemed appreciative of the gesture, saying it wasn’t bad work for someone like you. and perhaps... a quiet thanks?

there’s a small chance gnarpy will purr if you’re alone together. whether you’re bandaging xem up from a battle, providing xem with some sustenance, or if you even manage to get close enough to comb xeir messy fur, you’ll be able to hear the faint noise. it’s a little embarrassing for xem so as long as you don’t poke fun at xem or mention it too much, it’ll be more reoccurring thing.

despite the verbal protests, grunts of frustration and cold stares, gnarpy deeply appreciates having someone like you in xeir life. it’s safe to say xey didn’t have much of a motherly role growing up based on how indifferent and rejecting xey are of your care at first, so to finally have someone fulfill that role means so much to xem, so so much. more than xey’d ever let you know.

𝒢𐑞 ﹒ mach knows that her employers probably doesn’t know she’s in a relationship currently, however she does keep it on the downlow around them, she does like her employers but she’s not quite sure on how they’ll react. however she’ll tell one of her close friends, which is Pilby, they support your relationship fully and doesn’t tell anyone else as per mach’s request. also not to mention mach invites you to have tea in her office after the players leave after getting all of the items they needed. once you guys do have tea together, she’ll even tell you more of her life story including her siblings, and her uncle. however she’ll also love to hear about your own life story.

You managed to get him to give the stolen item back to your friend, and you and your friend got off the elevator shortly after that.

Pest thought of you a lot after that, day after day, he thought the thoughts would go away, but they didn't.

After a few days, you had to go back on the elevator, and Pest was there.

The entire trip, he was staring at you. His odd red eyes and beetle mandibles creeped you out.

After a while of being stuck in the elevator with him, you managed to get out of the elevator at your stop. You walked to your house, but felt paranoid the entire way.

Little did you know, Pest was following you. He couldn't miss this opportunity!

Once you got to your house, he was already in your room. Looking at all the photos and things in your room, seeing if he could steal anything.

He thought for a moment, why not just.. steal you?

So he waited till the perfect moment when you started to go to sleep. He hid around your house until then. He was at the side of your bed when you finally went to sleep. You're so adorable.

He tied you up, so you couldn't move and try to leave him. He took you back to his apartment and laid you down on his bed.

When you started to wake up, he was cuddling up next to you, his horns poking into your neck.

You had to get used to being around him, but he kept you well fed, and spent time with you so you weren't completely alone.

He never fully admitted he kidnapped you because he loved you but, he does say "I love you" in private.

He doesn't ever let you leave, but he does let you take a walk with him sometimes.

He steals things for you, usually food and things he knows you like.

He can't kiss you very well but he can and will bite you.

If you try to leave, expect him to try to mess your head up a little. Trying to make it so you WANT to stay with him.

Manipulation is his main thing when it comes to rivals. He will make them stay away from you, whether it be through threats, telling them you hate them, trying to mess up their friend group, or anything really.
