alrightttt pinned post about my main ocs that i draw and am obsessed with so that people know what theyre getting into 👍

SIGH - he/him cavernous elf, he likes to be dramatic to get laughs out of people, but gets gets uncomfortable when people dont respond to his attempts at arguing. he likes sewing and magic, and hes a wizard who is good but reckless in battle.

(i put the least amount of effort into this drawing i ran out of steam)

REUVEN - he/him human, serious and fairly hard to read, hes an archer and hunts for the group as well as being the lookout and the strategy guy. he likes to read about history and often stays up way too late reading.

(he was the first aside from torelai i drew today i drew them all in one sitting and ough.)

OMALIA - she/her bloom elf, very sweet but easily distracted, she builds devices that offer support in both battle and in regular life. she overworks herself when she gets sad, saying its to cheer herself up, but its a coin flip if it actually does or not.

(can you tell i put the most effort into this drawing? its taking everything in me not to write an essay about this woman)

CHAROLETTA - they/them halfling, often trying to make people laugh. sneak attacks and lockpicking are their main talents, but they also knit and have a passion for cooking.

(second most effort woooo)

TORELAI - she/her dragon, very serious with a sharp eye for detail, she makes her own jewelry saying its to keep her skills with her hands up, but really she just enjoys it. shes a fighter and uses only magical weapons.

(this was meant to just be a scribble but i decided to color it and then do all the others too)

The Plight of a Sparrow -

Sparrow, a young woman torn between being optimistic and being anxious who just wants to save her loved ones in a world that's determined to kill everyone, including her.

The Shackles of Time -

Arlen, a cheerful, optimistic moon elf mage who left his homeland for freedom and adventure.

Merle, a tough human warrior woman whose left her homeland for a special brand of revenge.

Night, a mysterious Shade-kin woman who is on a quest to save as many people from early deaths as she can.

Forgotten Gods -

Silver, a magic forest hermit with a dark past whose finding being a hermit is next to impossible when your neighbors are nosy.

Reuven, an elven hunter who is trying to keep the balance between people and nature.

Kitan, a clumsy beast-kin champion whose just trying to find his place in this world while his goddess laughs.

My Ancestor, My Enemy -

Lierin, a quietly angry elven woman whose trying to save a fellow Hunter and finish his mission, only to be drawn deep into a mystery neither of them had been ready for.

Orion's Oblivion -

Orion, a chain-smoking bounty hunter who hates people and just wants to get the vampire off his ship.

Spark, Said ship's AI and the only voice of reason in this story, thus far.

Jinx, The vampire that Orion accidentally woke up and had take over his ship. She's on a mission to settle a personal score and maybe save the universe while doing it.

The Dragon's Crown -

Ophelia, a notorious thief, con, escape artist, and public nuisance. Has a list of crimes longer than she is tall, and a knack for landing herself into deeper and deeper troubles without trying.

The Firewalker -

Thistle, a former thief and assassin whose on the run from her former boss/kidnapper. Is trying to help people as a traveling healer these days.

Valerian, an angry and persecuted fire mage who just wanted to see the ocean once in his life and ended up landing himself into more trouble and Thistle's schemes.

Why is Dijkstra so gorgeous??? I love him so much! His eyes inspire me, they are cold and intimidating, but at the same time they are comfy and protectors! I would give him all my love and I would hug him whenever he was angry (even if it was annoying). This big guy is awesome!

a pair of ocs i will not shut up about

#ocs #original character #original characters #yew art #reuven #sigh #i cant say too much about these characters bc i plan to one day make a comic involving their group and setting #i have the characters down and a vague story outline but i need to worldbuild further #but sigh is a sleep snuggler it does not matter who hes near he WILL cling on once hes in trance #i use the dnd 'elves dont sleep they trance/meditate/have revarie where theyre half aware' #but i change it to be more like 'the level of awareness while trancing depends on how tired the elf is' #but its different from sleeping bc they dont dream they relive memories 100% accurately #sometimes including things they cant recall while awake #which leads to debate if they Do dream or not #but word of god (aka creator decision): they do not dream it is all memories #ok thats my brief worldbuilding dump #here i go drawing snuggle sleeping once again #characters sleeping #just gonna add that to drawings of characters sleeping so theyre all in one place

HAPPY STS Ren! How are you and how are things going? What's the worst injury you've given to a character for plot reasons

Happy STS to you as well, Athena! It's been awhile since you've stopped by, I hope you're doing well <3 I'm doing alright, things are getting a bit busy with it being fall but the weather's been nice recently.

This is a tough question because I've put my characters through the ringer more than once. The one that jumps out is Forgotten Gods, though whether Silver or Reuven ended up the worst off is a matter of opinion. Silver suffered major magic damage as well as some nasty wounds from a fight and then a fall. Reuven I think ended up with broken ribs and a broken leg among other injuries. I don't think either of them actually expected to survive that....
