Scarecrow Week 2021

For the fourth year in a row, I am hosting Scarecrow Week! This is a time when we all can come together to celebrate our favorite burlap boy. During the last week of October, I’d like for anyone and everyone who can participate to take part in this fun time and acknowledge how scary our Lord of Fear can be! I’m accepting all types of content, from artwork and edits, to fantiction and memes--even headcanons and moodboards! There is no set skill level and everyone can join in. Scarecrow Week 2021: Day 3

The proportions on this are utterly fucked but it’s something at least. I headcanon Jon as having been entrenched in Gotham’s indie music scenes when he went off to college. It’s one of few times in his life he ever gets nostalgic for because everything was so new and fascinatiing…even if he can’t remember half of it because he was coked up on so many different drugs at the time. He had friends and roommates in the short term who he eventually drifted away from. He was known as the guy who always carried sugary snacks and would gladly enable other people’s bad decisions for his own amusement. He still has a couple of patches and old band shirts.

Scarecrow Week 2021. Day 1. Period piece.

I still haven’t settled on a solid costume design for how I draw Jonathan, but I’m so in love with Year One Scarecrow... I did my own take on that costume with a dash of Victorian fashion influence - big Sweeney Todd insp., and since Jon doesn’t spend money on clothes in various canons, I tried to steer away from the more affluent looks of the era (3 piece suits, etc.) I miss his little pumpkin brooch, but I think the hangman’s rope fit the cloak better;;
