Silicon Valley Comic Con

Back after the pandemic our Beloved Convention rocked San Jose with Creativity, Art, Science, Cosplay and good old fun.

Like a Homecoming -it was nice seeing some familiar faces.

I really enjoyed the new elements the convention showcased.

People creating awesome crafts in workshops smack dab in the middle of the action.

Some triangle eye thing that was unique looking was what I noticed in various stages of completion.

it was folks looking down , in the moment being creative.

You could feel it and it was positive energy.

putting the Comic in the Con you had bad ass Arthur Suydam

King Of the Zombies.

He also won a Grammy with Bruce Springsteen and teaches Martial Arts.

I had a great conversation with him.

His art is the reason I attended the Comic Con.

Christopher Lloyd was on location and we caught his panel and showcase the Fan Q&A segment.

A woman dresses as The Winchester Mystery House !!

Local Landmark and a creative costume.

Nasa was on location and the topic was equity.

Space exploration and colonization with humans.

Scientists adding their 2 cents to the question.

I was glad to be back at the Convention.

I'm the goofy guy with the camera and light .hahah.

The Art was amazing and next year I hope they bring more artist back.

"Well, Mr. Jeffries," Sophie (or rather, Ludmila Popova, official representative of a wealthy overseas tech consortium that was definitely not a thinly veiled front for any shady Eastern European government, no matter how much they were funded like one, wink nudge) said with a charming smile. "I must say you write a very clean code. My supervisors are pleased to accept this contract."

Her voice was lightly accented, just enough to pique Marc Jeffries' carefully cultivated interest in appearing worldly without triggering his American distrust of the foreign. They were in his little Silicon Valley startup, one of those ones with no walls and no comfortable furniture but lots of snacks. And a ping pong table.

"Pleased to hear it, very pleased," Jeffries said, beaming. "Let's just dot those Ts and cross those Is." He winked and pulled out a chair for her to sit in at the minimalist glass and steel conference table. Harry was left to pull out his own chair.

Jeffries circled round to the other side to sit and flipped open the cover on his tablet to sign the 'paperwork' that would whisk away every last bracket and comment of the MBGZ platform code and deposit it on Breanna's hard drive which, she had informed the team, she then planned to drop into the ocean.

People always seem surprised that my Mom loves attending conventions with me. This was ClexaCon in April '19.

She borrowed my Cherik shirt but made her skirt. She was all excited to attend it again the following year but that was April '20 so that didn't happen.

She very much had a thing for John Barrowman so that is one of the few photo ops I've gotten her to agree too. That was at ECCC '15.

We were both big Arrowverse fans so attended Heroes and Villains Fanfest a couple times. This was a Stranger Things photo op in '17.

This was Silicone Valley Comic Con '18. Mom borrowed my Black Widow dress and Hawkeye dogtag necklace. I was Bombshell Batwoman.

And the most recent was ECCC in Sept '23. She made my Ms Frizzle cosplay. And of course the one other photo op I got her to agree to was for Doctor Who too.

Never too old to be a fan.
