It is the night of October 31st. You have been passing out tricks trucks traps and treats all night and are nearing the end of your supply.

You’ve handed out the last of your treats and are about to flick off your light when you hear a knock at the door.

Your heart sinks, and you crack open the door to tell the poor person beyond that you’re fresh out…

But what stands before you is a very very fake door, obviously hand painted and made of cardboard. There is a fake knob, and a hand painted sign saying ‘please knock’ dangling. Behind it, you hear giggling.

Curious where this is going, you knock on the fake door. Someone in a cheesy stereotypical witch costume swings the fake door aside and greets you brightly. “My my!” They say in a corny gravel, imitating with movies of old. “What an amazing costume you’ve got, dear lad!”

The witch reaches into their bucket and very gingerly holds out

They wink, slowly closing the door.

Just as you while a tear away from your face, desperately trying to stifle a laugh, the witch hoists up the fake cardboard door and ventures off your stoop. No doubt to prank the next house foolish enough to still have their light on.
