Her posture softens. She at least has the decency to look sheepish for a moment, providing some explanation along the lines of thought it was Mihoshi again... then hops backwards, landing on a cushion that materialises in mid-air.

"I'm surprised, Ryoko. When I sent Sasami to fetch you—" (urgently; hound her until she listens) "—I didn't really think you'd come." Her fond tone gives way to blatant taunting, mouth quirking at one corner. "You're so awful at visiting your mother."

TFA x Hazbin Hotel AU Theory: If Vox Was a Techno-Organic In His Human Life.

even if this is more of a Fanon Crossover AU type theory, but I can’t help but have the thought pop into my head that has to do with Vox having been originally a protoform, even if it wouldn’t be canon, but would be fanon only in a Crossover Timeline.

like Vox might of never found out of his true heritage, and that his parents had found his newborn sparkling protoform self and when one or both of his parents touch the sparkling protoform, the protoform turned into a seemingly normal human baby, it could also turn out that both his parents weren’t able to have children because they are both sterile, and when they found that protoform that would become Vox, it was like a miracle.

the DNA Vox got from his parents, makes him their biological son, but his CNA comes from his Cybertronian “Mother” either the Cybertronian Mother be a Mech or Femme.

and if any Cybertronian had to be Vox’s possible mother in a Fanon Timeline...

I would pick Kup, who had went through the budding stage and is one of the Cybertronians that didn’t get infected by the sterilization program, so the higher ups wouldn’t have to wait for many years for the protoform to fully grow up and become a Autobot...

he could of had send Vox’s protoform away, not being able to take responsibility of parenthood,which I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Autobots have done this....because they couldn’t handle the responsibility of taking care of a protoform that was born through budding...

Vox’s protoform ends up on Earth, and ends up being found by his soon to be human parents, they both end up touching his protoform and making him their biological son, and even in Vox’s death, he never found out that he is half-cybertronian and was originally a baby protoform that was technically abandoned by Kup.

 picture the relationship between Kup and Vox being like Ryoko and Washu from one of the different timelines of Tenchi Muyo....

even if Kup uses the same words as Washu that “I didn’t raise you to be a good for nothing.” and Vox using the same words as Ryoko “you didn’t raise me at all.”

if Sari is able to, she could probably reveal that Vox is like her, of course once more this would only be in a Fanon Crossover Timeline and wouldn’t be canon to the main canon of both TFA and Hazbin Hotel. 

the only difference between them, would be that Sari’s “Mom” is Megatron who is a Decepticons and Vox’s “Mom” is Kup who is a Autobot.

if Vox’s human parents ended up in the same place as him, or at least one of them, they could end up telling Vox the truth, that he wasn’t human at first, and he only became part human the moment they touched his protoform and it ended up absorbing some of their DNA and making a human baby appear in the protoform’s place.

 both Vox and Sari, could have a hybrid soul, where it was originally a normal cybertronian spark, but also is a hybrid soul.

 like when a baby protoform ends up becoming touched by a organic, and becomes that organic’s child, it ends up causing the spark to become a hybrid.

also it might be possible that a protoform that does become part human, does end up having both a spark and a heart, the heart would just be a mix of organic and synthetic.

 even if this idea and theory wouldn’t be canon, and I am very well aware of this, and it is meant to be a Fanon thing....

I think the idea of Vox being techno-organic in a Crossover Timeline with different series all living in the same universe, like maybe Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, Transformers Animated, Transformers Prime, Transformers Movie Series, Ben 10 Omniverse and Steven Universe....would be interesting.

and in that crossover it would turn out that all the rings of hell are all in the body of Primus and Unicron’s younger sibling’s body, who is named Atlas, and who is inside of the Earth instead of Unicron.

Atlas needs to become fully canon and not just semi-canon and only appear in that crossover comic between G.I. Joe and Transformers.

hopefully one day that will come true.

and like it said in my other theory about a Crossover Fanon Timeline,

Azmuth would be the true creator of Primus (who has the same name as that planet in the Ben 10 series), Unicron and Atlas.

but all three were transform into transforming robots, because of that living metal seed that was implanted on them by that Quintessa.

Vox being part Cybertronian is just a fun Crossover idea that could work in the Fanon Timeline, like if it turned out that Vox was Chara’s Dad and him being part of the reason why they hated humanity, that might be a weird idea to some that has to do with a Undertale and Hazbin Hotel Crossover, but it’s possible that in some Undertale Fanon Timelines, Chara’s parents weren’t really good people and could be part of the reason why they hate humanity.

if Vox ever got hurt, like in the chest, what if it had revealed his spark, and he feels confused and scared like Sari did when she saw her arm.

and another weird thought that pops into my head is crossover ship that some might of not of thought of before, and that is Knockout x Vox....

maybe that would be a interesting Crossover ship, and if Knockout had to form a binary bond with any smaller organic, it might as well be Vox....well one of the options of organics that Knockout could form a binary bond with.

no one has to take this crossover theory seriously or in the wrong way, Vox turning out to be techno-organic and part cybertronian, would only be in a fanon crossover timeline.

5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write?

i got an ask in a game a WHILE ago that was about al. and i think i wrote smth like.... would love to do a trans al/back in his body introspective fic. and like. as much as i really really want to do that and am fascinated by the idea, realistically i do not think i will get to it! but really, never say never lol. i didn't think i was gonna write rizalust either, i thought it was gonna be too hard. and tbh it IS hard, but i kind of enjoy the challenge.

other than that it's fair to say any other idea i've had for a fandom that's no longer a special interest, like the eva/nicholás/chantal one i had planned for alta mar... is probably never gonna exist outside of my head and some text messages lol.

18. What’s one of your favorite lines you’ve written in a fic?

ok the first one i through of was from "recognition" (and the source of the title, lol):

"it wasn’t that their journeys had forged them, it’s that it was their own hands on the bellows. that feeling of recognition runs through her again, but this time it’s accompanied by something closer to desire."

and then i went through some old comments to see older fic stuff and this one made me laugh, it's from a katharina/hannah fic called "to live again,":

"she curses the god who didn’t grant her the gift of brevity and she’s aware of every second she’s been talking."

me. everyday lol.

from "sunny side-up," my only (published) encanto fic:

"three scratches. three taps. three triplets, and three syllables in 'te amo.'"

and just because it also made me laugh, from "another thing entirely":

washu shrugs, unoffended. “more time to work on the laser horse.”

“the what?” mihoshi asks, leaning forward to look at the tablet.

“did i forget to tell you about the laser horse?” she sits up, and crosses her legs, flipping the screen around to show mihoshi.

a few more scattered thoughts on tenchi muyo because i watched too much and i have to put my thoughts somewhere:

rewatching this franchise really gave me a newfound appreciation for the generally universal visual language of anime. so many conventions in body language, facial expressions, and action are shared between series, at least of that era, and they rapidly became easy shorthand across an entire industry, and i think that’s fuckin neat

mihoshi and kiyone are 90s fashion icons

speaking of kiyone, it's fine that she isn't in the OVA because she's frankly pretty inconsequential as a member of the harem/family unit. but it was beyond fucking weird that when they resurrected the OVA they went ahead and said that tenchi's mom was named kiyone. there was already a name for her. come on.

tenchi fucked the catgirl

i did appreciate OVA 3 characterizing tenchi's own mom as such a sadistic prankster that before her death she coached her dad and eventual widower to tell tenchi an annoyingly long shaggy dog story about how she died. also her writing "IDIOT" on tenchi's face with a sharpie while he was sick in the hospital as a baby was hysterical

unless you're like a giant fan of GXP and war on geminar, which you aren't, you can pretty much skip parts 4 and 5 of the OVA. it's mostly characters that didn't exist in the 90s sitting around and talking politics that don't fucking matter to the rest of the series. tenchi marries all the girls. there. that's the one good part.

noike felt like a waste of the character. tenchi having an arranged fiancee was a huge twist that very quickly fizzled out and then she just kinda blended into the wallpaper of the rest of the harem. it was great that she knew how to handle an increasingly flanderized mihoshi but she pretty much just became the house chef with sasami in pts 4 and 5 and then got married. again, skip them.

mihoshi having a trust fund failson brother who looks just like her and runs a private military contractor is a profoundly hilarious concept and extremely on brand

tenchi fucked the catgirl

mihoshi genuinely terrifies washu and that fucking rules. her ineptitude is a force of pure unbridled chaos

sasami has a preternatural ability to accidentally befriend an antagonist and then go "what the fuck dude" when things go south

i think it's probably for the best that sasami and tsunami fully merged by the time tenchi married everyone. i know the looks-12-but-is-actually-800-years-old look was very popular but nooooo fucking thank you

OVA 4 uses very familiar stock sound effects, as i found out when they legitimately used the hanna-barbera running sound, followed by me barking out a shotgun blast of a single laugh

washu severely sexually harasses tenchi like twice in the original OVA and then leaves him alone for the rest of the franchise

i was all about ayeka x tenchi as a kid but i've kind of let it go and it's pretty clear the writers did too.

no seriously though tenchi fucked the catgirl. ryoko got pregnant first, then ayeka, then fucking ryo-ohki. he fucked the shape shifting catgirl spaceship rabbit and got her pregnant. their kid is going to be a spaceship.

some of the english dubbing stinks but i have to commend ayeka’s VA for keeping up that goofy transatlantic accent for so long. it ended up working especially well with the “head in the clouds romantic worrywart with a hair trigger temper” characterization she had on tenchi in tokyo

so much incest in the OVAs. so goddamn much. ayeka’s handwaving of “oh but it’s normal on jurai” doesn’t help

Day 194: Thursday July 13, 2023 - "Come Sand Away"

For big and brushy earlier this month, I finally took apart and set out my old oak table from WashU. That thing had been through it with me and covered a lot of miles on its way to the back alley. Its time had come, and wasn't long from a less respectable collapse. But the biggest reason for deciding to go for a change in my office, was because I had a really great idea, and one last piece of live edge mesquite to do something with. I plan to replace that old table space in my office with a bar.

Over the past week I've played with the epoxy and setting up for nice turquoise and copper in the big deep knot holes in this slab. It took a few tries but I finally got it to set up right and look good. I then spent the next few days sanding away, filling my lungs with sawdust and epoxy under the 100+ degree heat in the car port, but when I finished here this afternoon and stepped back and looked at the fruits of my labor, I was really happy. It turned out really perfect. Id spend some time in the evening ordering the shelf brackets, and picked out something from an ironsmith on Etsy that should have some charm. Just have to do the couple hours of finishing sanding up to 3000grit and then stain, and this baby will be ready to install!

You were in your human form when Xiao first saw you, and to take it lightly, you were stared at. A lot.

You weren’t used to your legs.. so you just walked all wobbly and weird, every step you took could have ended with you falling face first into the road.

Xiao didn’t want to do anything with you. But you just so happened to get into the Washu Inn.

Verr Goldet asked Xiao to look over you, because obviously, she was worried for you..

Xiao recutanly did so.

“Hey. You. What are you doing?”

He isn’t the nicest. But, he was also wary of you. You look completely different from anybody here. And you might even turn out to be apart of the Fatui.. after all they came here not long after you. He could not allow somebody to wreak havoc any longer.

“Oh.. uhh.. walking? Or at least.. trying too.. first time in a while..” you answered sheepishly.

Odd. He continued the enquiries. “And what business do you have?”

“Um… nothing much.. I’m looking for my sisters.. and something else..” You tried to peer away from he’s pernicious gaze.

Xiao then started to become more blunt. “Are you with the Fatui?”

“Uh- no?? Who’s that??” You were getting even more fretful, and annoyed.

It went silent for a while and before you could speak up, he did. “Great. Then I’m done here.” And just like that the gaze was gone and so would he.

Xiao turned to leave until he heard your voice again.

“Hey wait!!” You tugged at his long sleeve, quickly getting a glare yet again. You felt a shiver down your spine, but you tried to fix your posture. “Now you answer me. Who are you and why are you questioning me?”

He continued to glare at you once more, “Xiao. And I’m just here to check up on you-“

“Meaning small?”

“What.”

“Your name. Xi-“

“Don’t. Say it.”

“I was just gonna say your name! Not your height or anything!”

“I didn’t say you were gonna mention my HEIGHT.” He pulled away he’s sleeve.

“Well.. sorry.. but your it is indeed quite iron-“

“Tch. Shut up you Mortal.”

“... Mortal!?!?”

“Yes. You mortals are getting even more and more nee-“

You snapped. How can this guy just come up and dare to try and insult you! And even ASSUME. “H-How dare you!! I am NOT a mere mortal!! I’m one of the most powerful hydromancy mages in history!! My sisters are uhh… ohh..” You quieted down

“...”

“... uhh..”

“Who are you exactly?” He was piercing dangers at you.

“I am.. a mermaid adepti.. Y/N, and my sisters are Sonnet, and Canon. And those are the only adepti I know,, but I’m guessing you're one as well?”

“... Yes.”

You were immediately intrigued, you never met another adepti besides your family! You kept on pestering and pestering him, no matter how scary he may seem, you were just so very excited..

In the end, Xiao ended up helping you, because he’s one of the only ones who knows he's way all around Liyue, and you desperately need the help.

They couldn’t find your sisters, but you found clues that they may be in Inazuma or Fontaine.

Despite how bratty, arrogant, and stubborn you can be.. you're actually fairly nice, thoughtful, and expetenatiolly loyal. He liked that in you. And even.. more than liking you as a friend.

He fell in love with you

At first he denied it, he doubted you were merely a dream. A hallucination. But all the times when the sun went down, and half-awake you sang to him that oceanic melody. Or how you blubbered at him to be more attentive and nice to others because saying that idiotic reason that ‘they are your people too’. Or when your bombastic plans kept getting them in trouble which made the nations eyes glance at them. It was not a dream. But a wish came true.

You made he’s heartbeat, a rhythm that he had never felt before.

Like a rock stopping down a lake.. and then falling deeper, and deeper, in to the water that was his heart.

And for a few minutes, the karmic bind became loose threads dancing with the wind.

You were crossing over to Sumeru on a boat, after a few people told you guys how the oldest sister was staying there to do some business.

“Hey so.. Xiao..” You were in where your mermaid form.. swimming next to a boat that Xiao was occupied in.

“Yes?” He looked over at you, with a much different tone he’s eyes put on when you first met him.

“I feel like I’m being pretty dishonest to you..”

He’s heart stopped. Oh no. Would you be gone? Did you betray him? What’s going on. “What is it.” The tone of his eyes changed again.

“I haven’t actually told you the truth..” Ashamed, you turned your head and tried to face him. “I didn’t tell you why I’m looking for them…”

He looked over at you, confused. “What? What do you mean?”

“Well.. to be honest I’m not so sure, but, this necklace is a curse.” You touched that suffocating thing. “I can’t take it off, and I need my sisters to. Because well, if I or somebody falls in love with me, or just.. KISSES me, either them, or me, are forever doomed for damnation. And I..” Tears streamed through your face, tears of anguish. “I love you Xiao!! So PLEASE, if this doesn’t work then you’ll have to leave.. far.. far, away..”

He’s eyes widened. What. “You're cursed. WHY!?”

“Wish I can tell you.” You sighed. “If I tell you, you’ll get in trouble. And even than I don’t exactly know half of it.. and I just.. I want you to be safe.”

“Even if your stuck with a curse, I’m still gonna be by your side.”

You blinked. “What!? No!! That’s st-“

“Well I’m cursed too. Didn't I tell you that? Tch. For somebody who bickers a lot you don’t listen.” He sighed. “I stole the lives of people, and held a hand at eons of suffering, I bring calamity to those who are close to me. But you still decided to stick by my side, and besides… I..” He turned away. “I love you too..” He’s words barely even counted as a whisper, and not even a hum.

“Ah.. AAAAAA-” You screamed of astonishment, and fainted, sinking into the ocean floor.

“Y/N..? Y/N!?!!”

Ever since the owl house started airing I always thought edas design reminded me of washu from sasami the magical girls club! She’s a mentor from the world of witches teaching girls about magic, and she has a sassy personality like eda! Also their designs! Edas big hair reminds me a lot of washu, that was the first thing that stuck out to me! I recommend checking the anime out, it’s a cute show and a spin off series of the tenchi muyo series if you know of that.
