I feel claustrophobic. Suffocated. Entrapped. Oppressed. Limited. It's the same room. It has been the same for years. My room. My space. The Safe Place. I don't feel the same comfort anymore though. I don't feel the same warmth in the sheets of my bed. I don't feel the same happiness that the pictures on my wall reflect. At one time, it used to be a bright, sunflower like yellow. Now, it just seems like a mouldy green. It makes me nauseous. There used to be so much space between these walls. Space to live, laugh, dance and create. Now, the walls are getting closer. The roof is caving in. I can't breathe anymore. It's eating me up. The fear. The foreboding. The guilt. I don't like this. Any day now. I'd be buried under the debris. It's happening. I know. Slowly. Gradually. It's taking me in. It's swallowing me. It's killing me.

I feel claustrophobic.

Wow what a feeling! Here is day 100 in my 100-day project, Imaginary Places. ✨🥳✨ This has been great fun! I've explored the surroundings and my dream life, as well as composition, different techniques, and some animation. I can highly recommend doing a 100-day project, as it gives you a chunk of experiments that can give you direction, inspiration, and maybe a launch into something else. It can be a tiny tiny project, but if you do it for a hundred days, it will become a lot, and you will build a routine for your creative process. We were so fortunate to have had our home published in the pages of ELLE Decor two years ago— this month! Still pinching ourselves. We made great friends on-set, like we had all collaborated dozens of times before, and felt completely natural.⁠ ⁠ Of course, no shoot is complete without drama! We shot that first summer of Covid. Try making a fire in the fireplace during the summer... i-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e!!! I tried to make a fire in the guest bedroom (image 7) and it just smoldered and smoldered... couldn't create a draft to get the smoke up the chimney to same my life.... so the smoke detector alarm went off and within minutes, the Tri-Village Fire Dept was at our house! Karen's walking home from the Post Office and thinks the house is on fire! I think it's kinda official or safe to say that Spring has finally arrived in the Hudson Valley! Yesterday was simply magnificent!! And the light was magical ✨️ Our dining room faces west, and represents Night. As the sun drops downward, it lights up the room in beautiful, shadowy and moody ways. What you can't see is the light dancing and moving around all of the surfaces. It's not static. The light even hits one of our favorite vignettes in the salon (the room that represents dusk) of the clay nude maquette, at precisely the right time for about 10 minutes before it all disappears.
