The existence of the Ox miraculous is such an unnecessary ugly detail when you think about Ladynoir and how Chat Noir served as the punching bag and scapegoat for Ladybug, Alya as Marinette's actual partner in season 4, and the whole team in every single way pre-s5
The Ox gives the power of immunity even against any other Miraculous power. One would think with Adrichat's self-harming tendencies that canon had Marinette make entirely about herself because "they're haunting her so much", and her still narratively entirely unchallenged tendency of leaving Chat Noir behind on the battle field as sacrifice or bait to possibly have whatever the hell done to him so she can be save and sound while she and everyone else can look and be cool on his expense
With all that, one would have thought that if Canon Marinette truly loved Chat Noir "sooooooo much" and is oh so haunted by his self-harming behavior and him always getting hurt so she sidelined him "for his own good"
Then how come at no point did Marinette do the actually caring thing by giving Chat Noir the Ox miraculous since he's ALWAYS left behind BY HER so she can leave the battle field and execute her plans with the others save and soundly? If her Chaton's well-being was oh so important to her and it always "pained her so much" to see him getting hurt then why was the Ox only used 2 insignificant times by Ivan at the end of season 4 when it could have saved Chat Noir ALOT of suffering all the way through?
Or the turtle. Or ANY OTHER Miraculous for that matter?
Why was Alya getting two miraculous in Hack-San perfectly fine with Marinette but heaven forbid Marinette is actually expected to ACT like she gives a damn about Chat Noir's well-being as his leader, guardian, partner, and friend and not just the show having her claim superficial words that hardly have anything to back them up once they actually have to mean something?
Its almost as if Canon inherently doubled down on having Marinette be the kind of leader who will only do things in a way that primarily benefit HER while everything else gets swept under the rug because she isn't maliciously intentioned and then never brought up again. And unfortunately it was her who was written to prioritize making an unnecessary team of 18 miraculous holders no one ever asked of her to form (Su-Han even told her NOT to give out the miraculous like candy),
so Marinette was just made to not consider Chat Noir either at all or simply not as worthy enough of any kind of consideration in her entire leadership/ guardianship or actual safety, support, or ANY KIND of resource since that wouldn't be narratively about her, now would it?
She can't have Chat have the Ox because she might need Ivan as Ox in 4 months and she doesn't want to have to ask Chat to get it back or end up NOT getting to use this ONE other Miraculous out of a whole ass box, because that would involve a basic ass conversation Marinette can't have apparently or her not getting to use all of the miraculous however she pleases at any given point
The horror. Now she would have only 14 miraculous to work with!
As per usual, count me fucking unimpressed by Marinette's writing. The negligence towards Chat Noir on even the most basic level is insane and she was declared the epitome of leadership and kindness for this.
Cool that Marinette already decided in her head that Ivan is suitable for the Ox miraculous and he should get it in future, but Chat Noir needing help and protection wasn't some theoretical case, it constantly happened right in front of her eyes and even by her own freaking orders too because she never thinks of him in ANYTHING and the show glorified the hell out of her as leader for doing all that
Why is looking into ANY detail only making Marinette's side of Ladynoir so much worse ever since season 4? There is no escaping this! Just don't add the Ox with this power or actually have Marinette be a good leader towards Chat Noir. But noooooooooo.

I'm in a salt mode so lets get into this
One of the biggest problems people had with the L//S is how poorly developed it's been and how less effort it has been put into it, And don't get me started how Adrichat and Maribug barely interact basically making the ship have 0 chemistry.
But then when ships like Lukanette and Adrigami came along, then there's some Toxic L//S stans who bash the characters (and doxx lukanette and adrigami shippers), with their only excuse being "ThEy R iN tHe Way of adr///ette/L//s (Mainly because they're insecure that Lukanette/Adrigami has Chemistry, proper development and effort and their ship doesn't)
I'm so sick and tired of the hate that Lukanette/Adrigami gets.
I'm so sick and tired of the hate that Luka/Kagami gets.
I'm so sick and tired of toxic L//S stans projecting their ship on every. single. damn. thing
I'm so sick and tired of seeing Lukanette/Adrigami shippers get d0xxed, threatened and bullied just because they don't ship the L//S or Adr//ette
Yikes, people doxxed each other because of ships?? For some reason I'm not entirely surprised. I've seen fandoms with super toxic people and the ml fandom sure can be toxic as hell. If you (general) get so worked up about people's opinions about characters from a kids show, you should be denied access to the internet and instead have access to tons grass to touch. But yeah, even just "normal hate" can be frustrating and discouraging, so it's best to just block those people. I completely understand your frustration.
Luka//nette isn't good because they were half canon, it's good because they have a meaningful bond and the root for drama is always outside circumstances and not the fact that they fundementally don't work together. If Mari wasn't Ladybug, they probably wouldn't have split up. That's why I love this ship so much. Besides, they never got in the way of anything. Realistically, no ship can get in the way of a confirmed endgame ship bc, well, it's endgame. So this argument is kind of falls flat (honestly most arguments against Luka//nette I've heard were either not really important or kind of a very outlandish interpretation of their relationship, I don't care about either.)
Heck, even if Luka//nette wasn't the rival ship but just friends in canon who interacted twice, who cares? Shipping isn't supposed to be serious, it's exploring different dynamics between characters and having fun putting them in different scenarios and have them have 6176310278 different first kisses. There's no rule that you have to be on board with the canon ship.
Now speaking of L//S developement (bc now I'm also in a salty mood and I have thoughts)
I and many others have already talked about how s1-4 didn't really do much with them. But I find it funny when people say that s5 did a great job developing they're relationship because... bitch where? I've watched season 5 (I have no self respect) and everything was confusing and over the place and I think that's bc the writers can't make up their minds about which problems the L//S might face actually matter and how they can be solved.
The season starts with Mari making a big deal about how loving Adrien is dangerous because hero stuff. Oh but actually it doesn’t matter, she likes CN now, problem solved! Oh wait no Chat friendzoned her and Adrien is pushing real hard for Adr//nette so they give up their fucking miraculous (in times of crisis I might add), problem solved! No wait, actually the new heroes suck so they take them back, but that’s okay bc being in love and being a superhero at the same time is actually no longer a problem for some reason! The actual problem is that Mari is incapable of expressing herself because she has trauma. And THAT’S the real shit because fucking everybody gets so invested they organize literal dates for them and watch from a distance until they smooch instead of, oh idk, letting them do things their own way. But actually that also doesn't matter anymore bc Zoe just confessed and Mari was so inspired she immediately ran to Adrien. Oh but Adrien is a senti without free will and he goes to england soon whoopsie. Also Gabriel and Tomoe are now Adri//gami shippers because of course we need an arranged marriage deal type of plot. Oh yeah there's also something about Monarch apparently having all the miraculouses but who cares amirite
See what I mean? There's no structure, no actually overcoming problems, it's just random shit happening without any connection to the previous random shit. The characters don't develop in a meaningful way. Mari's only life goal is making one cohesive sentence in front of Adrien and he's kind of just there. I mean he could maybe feel inspired by Marinette's passion for arts and crafts and try out some stuff or he could continue to have no direction in life. Yes, as a teen it's hard knowing what you want to do later in life, but Adrien doesn't even really have actual hobbies he can define himself through. The writers fail not only to develop the relationship as a whole but also the characters involved as people. They could as easily be a situationship where they meed every two days to make out and it wouldn't change anyting. It's just fan service here and there combined with shallow and forgettable dialogue (I think, there wasn't a conversation that stick with me at least) and idk this maybe works as a first love that maybe lasts for a year before they have a dramatic break up and then move on with their lives, But the show tries to sell this idea that the square will actually stay together forever (or have a constant toxic on-off thing bc that's the vibe I'm getting. Plus Bunnyx sort of implied that).

Isakai Chloe
So overthinking how Isakai Chloe is working with the timeskip in One Piece; And my half asleep thoughts made this.
Like Chloe gets yeeted out of the MLB universe after Hawkmoth tries blackmailing her on the roof. He uses the Rooster (Somehow doesn’t think to do what the Paris Special did yet) and then goes to the park to have Mayura make a Senti to replace Chloe. Because the Butterfly lets Hawkmoth have empathic abilities they actually make an internally well programmed copy, but because Hawkmoth only cares about the NEGATIVES the Senti is worse than S1-S3 ever was. Hawkmoth doesn’t care about keeping her reputation good. Thus Chloe is seamlessly replaced in canon with Fu, Chat Noir, and Ladybug being the only ones to know that there is a phony-Chloe turned into Miracle Queen. To the rest of Paris Chloe was attacked by Hawkmoth right after her parents were overshadowed.
Senti-Chloe doesn’t seem to be aware that she isn’t the real Chloe and is left to wander and act independently; with Gabriel and Nathalie nonchalantly holding her life hostage. Adrien and Marinette have to go through their days silently unable to tell their peers that its a fake Chloe; they don’t know what happened to the original.
Meanwhile Chloe ends up in the Romance Arc of One Piece and seeks the main character! The Echo of this is that the pages of Adrien’s manga collection begin to change to reflect a new character. Luka and Juleka’s copies also change. Juleka tells Rose and Ivan. When Rose tries to ask S!Chloe about pirates she gives a rude, but clueless answer about it. S!Chloe moves on but pays no mind. When Marinette and others go to The Liberty they see the books and learn something is up. Adrien looks at his copies at home and confirms the changes. Adrien and Marinette each pretend to have ‘told’ their respective secret identities about the development. The Class now knows that their Chloe was yeeted out of universe. Sabrina agrees to keep an eye on S!Chloe. The heroes get to keep wrestling with the options of telling Chloe’s parents but don’t want to cause another Malidictator incident.
The time difference isn’t evenly split so Chloe ends up in Sabaody Archipelago arc with only 2-3 months passing in MLB-universe. When Kuma sends the various Straw Hats to their ‘vacations’ Chloe gets sent home to Paris.
Adrien helps hide Chloe at his house. Nobody mentions the thousands of dollars this guy spends on cheese; hiding the food budget for another whole person will be easy. If anything the private chief is relieved that Adrien is eating more fish to balance out his dairy based diet.
Nino’s rebellion is informed about Chloe’s return and now they’re seeking to find S!Chloe’s amok. Since Adrichat and Maribug know that Mayura doesn’t need to be in possession to dispose of a ‘loose end’ insist on taking Mayura’s miraculous first priority. The two of them silently lamenting the other Senti’s killed in the line of duty because of Hawkmoth’s obsession.
Chloe is frustrated and vents to Sabrina. She knew the two year timeskip was going to happen regardless of her actions leading up. She just didn’t think she’d end up in a different world? How was she supposed to get stronger in the wrong universe? How was she supposed to get stronger here? She can’t bring a Miraculous over to the Grand Line. She has to stay in hiding until they can guarantee S!Chloe’s safety.

MLB twitter fic Adrien openly flirts with Chat Noir's twitter account and tweets and likes and retweets too much Chat Noir appreciation and Adrichat for Gabriels' liking and when he logs into his Chat Noir account he beefs to high hell against Adrien.
I'm talking clowning, memeing, impersonation Jaboukie style
This shit also extends to the entire Agreste family and whoever collabs with them at the time. Other rich rich people
It causes multiple internet wars and maybe more than two akumas
never in favor of Chat Noir
Not that it stops adrien from giggling and kicking his feet in the air as he only fans the flames
it all comes to a head when Adrien gets home after a job well done, and tired af, judgement shitty, takes a selfie of his face disheveled as hell on a bed that deff needs to be done.
logs into his Chat Noir accy
and quote retweets idk Lila who claims to be dating him or something idk
with the screenshot adding "MINE pillow PURRincess!! get your own!! 🏀🏀🏀 (couldnt find the anger face)"
social media explodes. Adrien logs outta there, turns of his devices, and takes a well deserved nap

I’m not sure if you’re in the ATLA fandom but l*ve square feels a lot like kat*ang where people can easily criticize female main but don’t you dare not ship canon or criticize our boy!
Childish boy that can do no wrong/ is perfect that needs come before duty or the wants of his partner x woman of color that’s kind and strong which are her best or worst traits depending on when you ask and who must end up with male lead because he earned it
................................................
*SIGH*
Anon...Sit down for a moment.
I am not sure if you read my about me or not but I should I mention I ship Kataang and my blog is a pro Aang blog!
I was going to write up a big response but I think I should keep this relatively short and sweet.
But to start off...How is Lukanette like Zvtara?! Like how?!
Zvtara was more popular than the canon ships before and after Avatar's run. And while Lukanette was popular for a time, it was by no means more popular than that one ship that shall not be named! If anything Zvtara is just as popular as the LS and Zvtara fanfics are similar to Adrien and Marinette's fucked up """"love story"""". I remember reading ZK fanfics where everyone and I mean everyone pushes Zuko and Katara together, Toph, Iroh, they are all reduced to mouthpieces for the Zvtara fanbase. Kind of similar to the creepy ass Adrie//nette cult in the show. I literally found a fanfic where Iroh and Kanna try to get Zuko and Katara together by shoving them in a freezer together, which reminds me a hell of a lot like M*raculous.
And I am not sure why you Z/tara shippers are once again playing victim. Yes, there are Kataang shippers who arrogantly flaunt their canon but I also seen Z/tara shippers who think me and my peers are delusional for not seeing the """"romantic chemistry"""" between Zuko and Katara. I have seen Z/tara shippers act all smug and think they have better reading comprehension than people who ship canon. Not to mention the ZK shippers who think anyone who doesn't like Z/tara hates woman and all Kataang shippers are white men while all PoC are uncomfortable with the idea of Kataang.
And honestly the people who think everyone who hates Z/tara hates women can seriously fuck off! Shipping isn't activism! Some of you really need to get off the computer and touch some grass! And stop talking for all PoC as well! I am PoC! And the way a lot of Zvtara fanfictions fetishize Katara and make her Zuko's exotic girlfriend makes me uncomfortable. Not to mention the ZK shippers who think Aang would force Katara to let go of her culture (Legend of Korra and the comics proved this wrong) while Zvtara fanfics involve Katara completely letting go of the water tribe to become the perfect fire lady.
Not to mention, my friends and I were bullied by Zvtara shippers! I was bullied by a ZK shipper in her 40's who acts all smug and thought she had moral superiority and had better reading comprehension because she ships ZK. She just complains about cartoons all day.......Yeah! Complaining about cartoons all day is what ZK shippers do I guess.
And I am not sure why you Aang antis and ZK deepthroaters go on and on until kingdom come that Aang never faces consequences. He felt guilty for burning Katara, for kissing her at the wrong time, for Katara putting herself in the line of danger during the desert episode. Aang saved Kyoshi Island when it was attacked by the fire nation, and he felt guilty and saved Katara and Sokka after hiding a letter from their father from them.
Unlike Adrien whom the creators literally said does no wrong or doesn't need to apologize for anything. Chat Noir ate up kissing Ladybug in Oblivio...Aang felt guilty for kissing Katara in Ember Island Players and didn't bother her about it again.
And Aang takes his role as Avatar seriously! Even if it was all so scary and sometimes he wished wasn't a 12-year-old boy with the weight of the world on his shoulders...Which is human. The ML bible confirmed AdriChat doesn't give a crap about being a hero he's just in it for the freedom!
And again...Not sure why you guys think ZK is like Lukanette...Is every non-canon ship "Just like Zoootara ZOMG!" now?!
I mean...Luka and Marinette actually liked each other. Zuko and Katara never showed romantic interest in each other. (But I guess that is a hard pill for you people to swallow) And "Katara falling in love with Aang is unrealistic because i would've chosen Zuko!" isn't a valid argument! And yet ya'll claim Zvtara isn't a self insert ship.
Honestly I have seen more similarities between Lukanette and Kataang. Both are best friends to lovers that are brushed off as "just bros!" People dismiss both shippers by the mere virtue that the other choice is "more attractive". I have heard people said that the two year age gap between Marinette and Luka is creepy...Similar to Kataang.
And honestly the fact you people have been watching Avatar the Last Airbender with your eyes closed thinking Aang never faces the consequences or apologizes reminds me of that old drama of how people honestly felt Marinette never apologized and got off scott free with everything!
And Luka and Aang are two sweet boys who get way too much unwarranted hate!
And don't you dare compare Kataang to the LS! Similar to how not all non-canon ships are like Zvtara (Because I hate to break it to you people...But Zvtara wasn't robbed of anything! There are plenty of non-canon ships done far worse than Zvtara!) Not all canon ships are like the LS!
Kataang had gradual development and Aang and Katara were best friends! They were each other's ride or die! They had so much development that I am surprised you people are shocked that Aang and Katara ended up endgame.
Adrien and Marinette didn't have the same development that Aang and Katara did! Don't even compare Kataang to the loathe square around me!
But hey, if you can't see how awesome Aang is and how beautiful and nuanced Kataang is...Sucks for you I guess.
I think I am done now...Sorry if I wasn't here to validate your overhyped erotic wattpad fantasy ship but......I am not a Zvtara apologist blog and you messed with the wrong person.
Edit: I forgot to note!
One of the biggest fandom woes I dealt with in both fandoms is
ZK shippers being like "Katara never liked Aang!!!"
and LS shippers being like "Marinette never loved Luka!!!"
And I am like "Guys I am tired!"
But hey...Lukanette is toooootally not like KaTaang amirite???
I mean you guys only think Lukanette and Zvtara are similar because they are both non-canon right? Even if Lukanette was canon briefly. As short lived as it was...

We always harp on how canon treats Adrichat. Let's talk about how fanon mischaracterizes him! Personally I hate when folks think he knows what the hell he's doing with regards to romance. He can set up a romantic picnic, sure, but with season 2 Frozer, we know he's an awkward child who just wants to be taken care of. Fan interpretation of that scene is that he was jealous of Luka wooing Marinette, but that doesn't explain why Adrien UNTIED HIS OWN SKATES (maybe it was oversight by the animators that he was tying his skates alongside Marinette). But even then! Why else would he go to Kagami so she ties his skates for him? Because he saw Luka tying Marinette's skates, and wanted to be treated kindly in turn. Canon states that Adrien doesn't develop feelings for Marinette until Puppeteer 2 in season 3. Even if he was jealous in season 2 Frozer, it doesn't explain why he (possibly) untied his own skates and went to Kagami after watching Luka tie Marinette's skates... And then season 5 has Adrien change himself for Marinette. Adrien made his feelings clear to her. He also knows she is in love with him. All Marinette has to do is reciprocate! Meet him halfway. But no. Adrien has to cross the other half of the aisle in order for Adrinette to happen. He blames himself for Marinette's issue that has nothing to do with him at all. Adrichat is NOT the cassanova that fanon thinks he is. He's just a hurt boy who wants love in all the wrong places, and will repress himself and change his entire personality to suit the person who he cares about the most... See Kuro Neko, and remember his childhood dream is to be exactly what his parents wanted him to be.
To be fair, Adrien can be romantic. I mean, look at Chat Noir. He's not totally clueless on how to be romantic.
But yeah, I totally agree that he's not some casanova who is totally great at all things romance and knows exactly what he's doing. I wish we could see someone doing something for Adrien for once, instead of him having to be the one who does all the work in every relationship he's in. It's kinda hard to blame the fandom when the canon itself doesn't want anyone to do anything for Adrien because that would mean Marinette has to be inconvenienced. I'll highlight this part of your ask:
Because this is so true. And the show doesn't even acknowledge this, and instead treats it as some kind of good thing when Adrien forgoes his own desires and wants to please Marinette. It's just sad.
Thank you for your ask!

Gabriel is Not Actually Dead
Well, his mind/soul isn't anyway.
Okay, this is my crack theory for the Season 5 finale. I avoided the finale until tonight because I read the leaks months ago and, like many, was disappointed in Adrichat's absence and Gabriel's weird semi-redemption death. So as I'm watching it tonight, ready to fully embrace disappointment and determined not to be fooled by any wishful thinking red herrings, I fell into a theory trap. I'm probably wrong, but if it's true, it would make Season 5 more tolerable... for me anyway.
I think Gabriel might be the primary antagonist of Season 6 and this ended arc is a fakeout.
Tumblr media
I find it very suspicious that Gabriel NEVER says his wish out loud. At first, it just appears that he's being sentimental. But so far, almost everything Gabriel has done- from inviting Audrey Bourgeois to an event and snubbing her to making Adrien pancakes has been a manipulation. He is constantly putting on an act to draw eyes away from his true motives.
It would have been simple to have Gabriel state he wants to be with Emilie in death and to sacrifice himself for Nathalie. But he stayed mum about it, asked Gimmi to read him, so Ladybug couldn't actually hear. I think that was a choice.
Darker motives also just make sense. You mean Gabriel Agreste who was adamant about bringing his wife back and achieving absolute power using his 14-year-old son and another kid as avatars 5 minutes ago was so changed by Marinette's speech that he decided to just save Nathalie and be done with it? I don't buy it.
I think it's possible that Gabriel traded places with Nooroo. And perhaps changed some rules around the Butterfly miraculous.
This may mean that Nooroo was his sacrifice. I'm not sure how he plans to swing this, but he'll definitely try and manipulate Lila. He has become the evil genie.
I think this, not just because whatever came out of the Butterfly miraculous at the end and scared the hell out of Lila was nothing like Nooroo has ever presented, but because of the visual tell:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's the same crackly, lightening that appears when Gabriel corrupts one of Nooroo's enchanted butterflies.
I don't think Lila will be operating alone next season.
If this crack theory IS true, I'm not sure why he wouldn't just wish to restore himself, Emilie and Nathalie. Possibly because memories apparently sustain after a wish is made. Ladybug (and whoever else she may have called and told ) might retain her memory of the wish and his identity- as she did in the finale. If he made his original wish, she might tell everyone including Adrien. Regardless of Emilie's return, he and Nathalie would be in big trouble.
So in true manipulator fashion, he asks Marinette never to tell Adrien at all and fakes his death, leaving everyone to think of him as a hero. Meanwhile he plans to use whomever picks up the Butterfly next as a pawn and a scapegoat. He may have even seen Lila getting it.
I guess it could also be true that Gabriel WAS trying to be halfway decent and screwed himself over with his "read my heart" BS. Maybe Gimmi could see subconsciously that he wanted to live and cursed him to be a genie too in his own way.
Regardless, I'd prefer this fakeout. It makes Gabriel's story end a lot less abruptly. It keeps him in character or gives him a sufficient punishment. It almost guarantees that the truth will come out eventually. It gives another chance for Gabriel and Adrien to have a real reveal and conflict (can you imagine Adrien putting on the Butterfly?). It opens the door for all the Agreste backstory we barely got...
So come through, crack theory 🤞

Analyzer - Félix & Emotion, Part 1 (Miraculous Ladybug)
Tumblr media
So, now that Season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug has finally ended (and left us with an abysmal conclusion), I’m here to deliver my thoughts on how Félix was handled this Season. I have heard all kinds of reactions and opinions, but I’m here to present you my unfiltered thoughts in regards to him and his actions.
But, before I start, I’ll preface this with saying that I’ll be splitting this analyzer into three parts: Pre-Emotion, Emotion & Post-Emotion, mainly because of the shift that happened in that very episode.
So, let’s start the party!
Last we left off, I talked about Félix in Season 4 and basically praising him for being an unapologetic gremlin who causes chaos anytime he appears. Given how I felt nothing for the heroes in the Season 4 Finale, I frankly couldn’t care less about Félix’s “betrayal”. The only thing that annoyed me were the idiots who clowned on Maribug for somehow not having the ability of mind reading and realizing Félix was cosplaying as Adrien.
We’re starting off with Episode 2: Multiplication. There isn’t much to say, aside from the fact that Maribug has figured out that Flairmidable was Félix, while Adrichat was stewing in his own jealousy over Maribug having a team of heroes to help her to figure that one out. Not to mention, even after Adrichat mentions how Félix and Monarch might be connected, he completely forgets not only that Félix was interested in sticking around at the Agreste mansion, but that he found a spy glass which should’ve hinted that Félix was investigating something or someone - namely Gabriel. Great start!
Tumblr media
So, here’s where we learn a bit more about Félix,... and why does he have a Wikipedia page? Also, I thought his surname was Graham de Vanily, but it appears he has retained his father’s surname rather than taking his mother’s.
Anyways, we find out that Félix is the son of the American billionaire Colt Fathom, who died the previous year, and his mother, Amelie, is actually the aristocrat Lady Graham de Vanily. He’s also a triple kung fu and horse riding medalist, chess prodigy and England’s youngest graduate. He’s also the only one who has any braincells in this show.
Skipping over the boring stuff, we learn that Amelie had been covering up for Félix, pretending that her son was not at home so Maribug and Adrichat wouldn’t search for him.
Tumblr media
Behold, the only parent in the Rich Kids Club who actually cares about her child. Gabriel, Tomoe, André and Audrey could never!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We can already tell from the scene that Félix is up to something, with Duusu wondering if he’s her new holder and Félix responding with: “I’m much more than that, Duusu.” This is what we like to call “foreshadowing”.
Skipping ahead to Episode 18: Emotion, we finally learn what Félix’s plan is. To quote Red: “It’s murder. The plan is murder.” Ooops!
The episode itself starts off with an Adrinette scene and I’m gonna skip over this, because honestly, I couldn’t care less about the Love Square since it feels more forced than 8-year-old me mashing a Barbie and Ken doll against each other while shouting “Now, kiss!’’
Anyways, we see Félix, once again cosplaying as Adrien as the Diamond Dance and spotting a ring on Kagami’s hand.
Tumblr media
Don’t worry, I’ll get to that. First of all, how do I know this is Félix and not Adrien? Because there is no way Mr. Oblivious himself would have such reaction to a ring on Kagami’s hand. Second, where the hell is Adrien even? I sincerely doubt he agreed to Félix’s idea of pulling another switcheroo. Did Félix kidnap him or something?
Anyways, Félix has a sudden realization about Kagami that I will address a moment later, while Kagami just glares at him. The tension is then broken up when Amelie barges into the building, yelling at Gabriel about how Félix is still missing.
Amelie Graham de Vanily: (struggles to make her way in through the guards) Gabriel! My son Félix has been missing for weeks now! (storms towards them) Not only have you and your friends been no help with the search! But now I'm not even invited to the ball?! You haven't been the same since my sister Emilie disappeared! Why are you rejecting us?
Parent of the year! No, seriously, even if she’s only acting, her giving a verbal smackdown to Gabriel is always pleasing to hear. Hell, she even questions Nathalie why the hell she’s still working for Gabriel despite his obvious cruelty.
Anyways, moving on to the actual Diamond Dance, which really is just a party for snobby rich kids (as established by Chloé, who has been really done dirty this season, turning her into a caricature of herself, because Astruc apparently can’t stand the thought of people being fond of her).
Tumblr media
We spot Félix and Kagami talking to each other, with Kagami still believing that the person next to her is Adrien. I have to say, while probably a bit awkward, I do like the interaction between them, especially how Kagami calls Félix more assertive and braver, and being willing not to go between “Adrien” and Marinette, because Marinette is her friend. Wait, wasn’t she gunning for Adrien in Season 3 regardless of the fact that Marinette is her friend?
Eh, who cares, because the writers certainly don’t.
Tumblr media
Félix doesn’t care either, as he’s here to just play his role as Adrien, at least until the right opportunity. Kagami continues telling him how they don’t have to play as the puppets for their parents, and Félix counters with their parents still be the ones controlling them. Kagami replies that she, being a descendant of Samurai women, obeys orders because she wants to, which makes me wonder whether any of the writers ever did research on samurai. They didn’t obey orders because they wanted to, it was because they had to, even if it caused the samurai or their family to suffer. In fact, the word “samurai” means “one who serves”. Yeah, the implications are a huge “yikes” given what is revealed in this episode.
Tumblr media
Félix, ever the charmer, dares her to leave the party, leaving a protesting Kagami stunned when he tells her that he can do that. Once again, pure cunning and gremlin attitude coming from him. Not to mention, Kagami is visibly excited about the idea of just getting away.
So, if all that’s needed for her to fall for a guy is for the guy in question to be rebellious, I’m seriously wondering why the hell she ever fell for Adrien, who has the spine of a wet noodle? I suppose she thought he was similar to her, a lonely rich kid who dreamed of freedom and would grow a spine and escape the expectations Gabriel put on him. That, or it’s because the writers said so.
Anyways, Kagami changes her mind, with Félix being disappointed.
Félix!Adrien: See? You're not as free as you claim. Don't you think we should be able to decide our future?
Keep in mind that conversation about freedom. It’s kinda fascinating.
So, before they can open up the ball with a dance, Marinette runs towards Félix, rambling about how “Adrien” could’ve told her how he went to the dance even tho he didn’t want to go to it... and seriously, couldn’t you send him a text message or call him to tell him that? Because you know what this is? This is more unnecessary drama to make fun of Marinette being “oh, so in love with her boyfriend” because no one in this show knows how to write actual romance unless it’s accidental. Honestly, what is with the writers’ obsession to clown on her every damn episode?
Tumblr media
It did serve a purpose to Félix’s story, though. After all, Félix only knows Marinette as that one girl who sent Adrien a love confession on the anniversary of his mother’s disappearance/death/whatever. Now, he saw a girl who was willing to break into a high society party to tell her “boyfriend” she loves him. That’s some crazy dedication. After a little nod from Kagami, he starts dancing with her.
Tumblr media
It gets even more interesting with this piece of dialogue:
Félix!Adrien: All eyes are on you.
Marinette: They're looking at me like I'm a monster.
(Adrien's face turns sour.)
Félix!Adrien: Look closer, Marinette. (stops dancing, and whispers in her ear) They're the monsters.
Honestly, this is leading to some really interesting characterization in regards to Félix, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Marinette figures out this guy isn’t Adrien, with Félix giving her a devious smirk.
Tumblr media
I just love this little gremlin. Félix then proceeds to transform...
Tumblr media
...in front of everyone? Has he not learned that, if your identity is revealed, your Miraculous will be taken away? Unless you’re one of Marinette’s classmates and not named Chloé, because screw Chloé.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I gotta say, the transformation is quite short, if snappy. Furthermore, Argos outfit is miles above Flairmidable. I suppose Félix spent the previous 16 episodes coming up with an outfit for his big reveal.
Now, here’s where I have to clown on Marinette. This girl sees Félix using the Peacock Miraculous to transform into Argos, a Miraculous she knows was last held by Mayura and then Shadow Moth. She also knows that Félix was the one who either gave the other Miraculous to Monarch or had them taken away. Yet, she still doesn’t put two and two together and ask Félix about what he knows about Monarch. Admittedly, she may have more pressing matters to deal with, given how Argos reveals the solution to all of his problems.
It’s murder. The solution is murder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Long story short, Argos creates a Sentimonster named Red Moon and then uses it to Thanos-snap everyone he doesn’t care about out of existence - including Gabriel!
Tumblr media
Argos: Good evening, uncle! You can call me Argos now. Gabriel: How dare you! I will never allow you to— Argos: Oh, I think you will, uncle! It's time for someone to finally put an end to your endless 'trying to control people'. Adrien, my mother, me; turn us into whatever you want us to be! I'm freeing us from you! (Argos snaps his fingers and Gabriel disappears into thin air.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wooo, end the episode right there! That bastard Gabriel is finally dead! Félix/Argos saved the day! Let’s break out the good stuff and party!
Yeah, considering how this wasn’t the finale of Miraculous Ladybug (too bad), it’s obvious Gabriel will be brought back, but let me enjoy the moment.
Anyways, I’ll end Part 1 of the Analyzer at this moment, and discuss instead Félix’s character up to now. In Season 3, we saw him being very reserved, showing disdain for Adrien and his friends, and willing to go so far to sabotage him. Season 4 showed more of Félix’s cunning side, as he was the only one to figure out that Gabriel is Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth, being willing to confront him even though Gabriel threatened his life. Not only that, but he also achieved his goal of taking possession of the Peacock Miraculous, fooling the heroes and making a fool of Gabriel.
It is established that Félix is a very morally grey character. He’s observant and self-serving, looking out mainly for his own safety, with there only being a few people he genuinely cares about, like his mother and Adrien. As shown in Season 5, he clearly cannot stand the people around him, save for Kagami and Marinette, calling everyone else monsters and desiring to be freedom, not only for himself, but for others as well, and even resorting to make everyone vanish to achieve that.
I know people consider Félix a villain, but I don’t think he can be called one. The title of Anti-Hero actually fits his character more. He’s selfish, having put the safety of Paris in danger by giving Gabriel all of the Miraculous, but here he just snaps him out of existence, ending the reign of Monarch once and for all, and Gabriel cannot do anything about it. Technically, he saved Paris, and he did it because he had enough of Gabriel being a controlling bastard.
Félix continues being awesome in his own way, and while the rest of the episode explorers who he is as a person, I’m afraid that his is the peak of his awesomeness.

Anonymous asked:
I don't know about you, but selling the main pairing giving a greeting kiss by having Alya physically stopping Mari from pushing Adrien away is very uncomfortable.
It's like we've traded away AdriChat forcing boundaries in private with nobody to stop him to now making it a group effort to steamroll over every boundary MariBug ever makes. I wish Alya cared more about Marinette's comfort than the ship. It's gonna get to a point where she'll never be able to maintain any boundaries.
Anonymous asked:
So... Multiplication.
I have to say, I was horrified that they went straight from Marinette telling Alya that she did not want to focus on her crush with Adrien, and very clearly, so it couldn't be misinterpreted, to Alya PHYSICALLY PREVENTING Marinette from avoiding an unwanted kiss from Adrien, and not just once, THREE TIMES. Thankfully Ikari Gozen came just before he was about to succeed, because Alya was literally holding both of Marinette's hands down so she couldn't stop him as she had the previous two times.
Anonymous asked:
Don't you just love how casually Adrien is trying to smooch Marinette after realizing he loves her?
I hate that we have to sit here and talk about why it’s wrong for grown white men to write “jokes” about a white boy who can’t take a damn hint and a best friend who will physically hold the female protagonist in place even after she’s made clear that she doesn’t want this.
And naturally the fandom will eat it up and praise Alya for being “a representation of the fandom just wanting Adrien to kiss Marinette already” because Marinette’s agency doesn’t matter as long as The Ship is happening.
Also, just throwing this out there--
- Alya bringing up Marinette’s past attempts of giving up on Adrien (as if Alya wasn’t involved at all in forcing Marinette back in Adrien’s direction) is beyond insulting.
- “It’s just a friendly kiss!” No, it’s not. If Adrien had purely friendly intentions, then not only would Alya/Nino be getting one, but Adrien would’ve been giving them to Marinette before (remember back in “Ephemeral” where we all mocked Adrien for calling Marinette one of his closest friends? yeah).
- If Adrien supposedly loves Marinette so much, then maybe he should be able to use his eyes and see that her rejecting his cheek kiss the first time means that he shouldn’t try it again. This is Season 5, there’s no excuse for this behavior anymore and there hasn’t been for a long time.
- Even if Marinette genuinely wanted to be kissed or whatever, it doesn’t excuse her being physically held in place. At the end of the day, she was rejecting the kiss and had already stated her feelings on how troublesome the Adrien crush had been. Hell, even if she was already in a relationship with him, she should be allowed to not want to be kissed and those feelings should be respected. Even people in real life relationships have moments where they’re just not in the mood for physical contact, which is completely valid.

Really frustrates me how adrichat is allowed throw tantrums at his crush, but is never allowed to get mad at his dad or really be upset at his family situation. He's only ever allowed to have conflicts with her, so it never gets to the root of his behaviour. Though maybe it's because the show doesn't even seem to think his behaviour towards her is a result of his trauma considering they always try to insist he's a good person for not acting out about his family life.
The thing is that Ladybug is the only “safe” person he can lash out against (other people in his life whomst?) but instead of focusing on stuff she’s actually done he funnels all his anger and resentment for other stuff towards her, putting more responsibility on her shoulders that is due for a friend. He has an issue with codependency where he expects her to cater to his every emotional need and wants her to dedicate her time and attention entirely to him (as indicated the multiple he’s lashed out for her having a life outside of him). That’s unhealthy as hell. But for whatever reason, a large portion of fandom and even the crew adopts his way of thinking that she’s at fault for not tending to his every want and need.

Do you have any hatred towards Chloe, Felix, Lila or Gabriel stans from the MLB fandom because they like villainous characters? I know some are toxic ( lots of toxic Chloe stans victim blame Marinette which disgusts me) but I do know lots of respectful ones. Some people like Chloe, Felix, Lila and Gabriel don't seem to support their actions and like them with villains. Also, I want to know your thoughts about the Lila fan who took her own life a couple of years ago because she said she liked Lila's character which caused her to be bullied badly by the fandom. She was harassed and attacked by mainly Toxic Maribug/Adrichat and Lovesquare stans just because she liked an unusual character. ( I'm surprised Nice characters can have some toxic stans). Do you think the harassment she faced was way too extreme or do you think she deserved the backlash because she liked an evil character?
Of course I don't think someone deserves that. What the hell is wrong with you?!
As for the rest. Not touching that with a ten foot pole.

I'm strategizing about it and both Felix and Kagami were made for combat, in a sense. They're warriors by birth and are likely matched in skill level. But Felix is very tactical and cunning while Kagami is impulsive and straightforward; strategy-wise it's no contest and he'd easily outwit her. Same reason Maribug would always win against Adrichat. Also what's the situation here- do they both have their miraculouses or is it akumatized Kagami or is it just them in street clothes, etc. Tomoe ensured that Kagami is humanity perfected, her physical abilities at their peak- but still human, whereas Felix has repeatedly demonstrated superhuman qualities without any further aid. The scenario may alter the results a little but I'd still put my money on Felix winning.
YEAH that's it. kagami isn't weaker than felix at all but she's impulsive and quick to attack while he's always on the guard (see emotion where she CHARGES at him full speed and doesn't land a hit 😭) . and felix is caught off guard by her twice n pretension which goes to show they both have advantages of their own. felix has been shown to deal with three akumas at once but they didn't exactly have weapons so he MIGHT lose to riposte but it still depends on the situation
argos vs ryuuko is the trickiest one because their abilities are enhanced by the suits and ryuuko has the air/water/lightning powers, but argos' fan feathers can act as throwing knives or at least cut through stuff ??? if one thing's for sure it that hell would break loose

I think Adrien always being on time, Akumas or not, is more indicative of the writers not wanting to do anything with him than it is of Marinette's character with her always being late
Realistically, who should have a harder time balancing their super and civilian lives timewise, the intended to be average girl from a middle class working family, or the teen model who's been well known since he was very young, is the son of a former film star and the fashion designer who's outfits he models, who's super busy and restricting schedule is constantly mentioned? Adrichat.
Except, of course, Adrichats super busy schedule, his controlling father, and the two fully grown and very competent adults who's literal jobs are 'get this kid to this place at this time and don't lose track of him' never actually matter when he needs to be Chat.
But hey, an actual story arc where something like, idk, Adrichat being stuck at an event for so long he completely misses an Akuma fight where Ladybug is barely able to scrape by without him happens long before episode 100, and Adrichat realizes 'oh, this is gonna happen again if I can't figure something out' and he spends a season going back and forth with his father until he finally manages to get Gabriel to drastically cut back on his modeling, which then opens Adrichat up to being involved in his own civilian plots that don't just involve Gabriel being a dick would be ... a fun and interesting use of the characters.
Let's point and laugh at Marinette being late bc she spent so long drooling at...an add of Adrien in his normal civilian outfit.
Bc that's better writing!
(i know we've all pointed out on this blog that Mari getting in good with a bunch of celebrities in the past year kinda defeats the point of her being a 'normal girl with a normal life' but the writers never address that, so I believe they do intend for Mari to be seen as a mostly average teen with a talent for fashion and a secret identity, so thats how I talked about her in this)
Oh yeah no like.
It's absolutely a thing where they should focus on both of them but they just don't.
Because yeah it's. Logically: Adrien /should/ be having far more trouble than Marinette if only because even his free time should be accounted for. While Mari has some genuine free time where she doesn't have anything planned and can do whatever she wants last minute and off schedule and just say to her parents 'hey I'm going to go out' and they're like 'okay cool be back by curfew', Adrien has to request hangouts 4-7 business days beforehand and is often told no because Gabriel is a controlling fuck.
And there's multiple potential stories with this!!
As above: Adrien is having trouble sneaking away to be Chat Noir. Either he ends up being unable to leave and Ladybug suffers for it, or he does leave and ends up missing/late/etc. for his other duties and he's punished for skipping out. Maybe even accidentally making his friends look bad because Gabriel thinks they're bad influences encouraging him to skip out. This forces Adrien to either figure out better ways to sneak off, or he manages to get Gabriel to relax his schedule to allow for 'more social life', or hell maybe we have a Gang of Secrets situation with The Gorilla as the confidant and he helps convince Gabriel that Adrien is where he's supposed to be.
OR! Or! Let Adrien lie. We've already had one or two instances where Adrien sneaks out/lies about where he is. Go full force on it. Sneak around Gabriel by pretending to be where he's supposed to be. Forge notes and gaslight Bustier into thinking his father pulled him out of class. Might be a little tricky since this is a kids show to teach good morals but 1.) HA! 2.) they have Adrien break these rules on occasion anyway and 3.) just have an exchange with Plagg where he suggests sneaking out again for fun social friend things, and Adrien goes 'no, that's wrong. I only break the rules because I have to be Chat Noir and save people! I'm not going to do it for fun!' This could even set up for the Lila plot as a narrative foil in someone who lies because they have to vs. someone who lies for fun and profit. Even hammering it home with Adrien feeling guild despite his situation.
Hell, you could even set up other plots like the Chloé stuff! Have the school staff not report Adrien's absences. Either because they think he'll be like Chloé and demand daddy fixes it, or even have Chloé cover for him by actually playing the card. Whether you see this as her using her abilities for good to help out a friend even though it's still 'wrong' she's trying, or any abuse of power is bad and therefore more proof she's a dick depends on the season.
Just. Could've done plenty with it.

Do you think the Love Square does anything right? Anything at all?
Well in concept, I think the Love Square is pretty interesting. Identity shenanigans are entertaining when done right, and the LS has its unique draw of a 2-person Love Square.
I think the LS was done "right" (I put this in quotation marks bc it still had it's issues then, but there was definitely room for growth with what they set up which the writers did not take advantage of because they did not see what was wrong) in S1, since each side was showcased with ease. This is the season that I feel as though Adr!nette actually had proper interactions (alongside S2), Ladyno!r's dynamic wasn't as irritating to watch on screen, and Mar!chat and Ladr!en didn't feel as "in your face" when they had their moments (mostly because they balanced out having dedicated episodes to these sides of the LS with small moments in other episodes: e.g. Adrien saving Marinette in Gamer, Marinette asking Adrien (and Chloe) about the akuma in Pixelator).
Also, personally, I think Mar!chat, despite what that guy seems to say about it on Twitter, is handled rather neatly if you look at it exclusively from a platonic angle (and ignore for a moment that it was involved in an episode where the takeaway is that those two would not see each other romantically). Like, it's just two kids who shouldn't be acting familiar with each other, yet they do and it slips their minds. They have fun and they act silly (I hate Glaciator 2 but damnit seeing Adrichat and Marinette just goofing off to watch a movie... these are the silly kid moments I'd have expected, unlike w/e the hell a good portion of this show is).

Adrichat Hell - Day 30 - Wedding
AO3
@adrichatnovember2020
Marinette still wasn’t totally sure how this had happened.
Yes she’d been the wedding planner, but she was half-convinced she was dreaming the whole time she worked to set it up.
At first glance, it looked like a normal party. Balloons, streamers, tables with food (catered by a combination of her parents and Alya’s mom of course), even a turntable for Nino and a stage.
She didn’t know what the stage was for exactly. The wedding ceremony she guessed? Adrien had been pretty vague about why he needed it.
At least his reasons for needing the Mouse and Fox Miraculous were pretty clear. Using three Miraculous at once wasn’t generally advised, but he’d practiced while she was there to help, and it didn’t seem likely to be outright dangerous. Unlike when she’d used several Miraculous at once, he was only wearing the ones he needed, which should limit the exhaustion.
While she’d helped arrange most of it, such as setting up the tables, catering, inviting friends, etc., there were a few things Adrien had insisted on tending to himself.
Looking around, she frowned. Adrien had insisted on inviting Luka personally; so where was he?
*strumming noises*
Ah, must be Luka! Different guitar than usual, but he did have… some… variety…
Her jaw dropped.
Luka strode onto the stage wearing a giant top hat, a monstrosity of a green suit, blue sunglasses, and… was that a red rose in his lapel? Well she knew what Adrien had contributed to the ensemble.
“How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just doin' what comes naturally,” Lukaler belted out, playing the guitar while he sang.
“How ba-a-a-ad can I be? I'm just following my destiny.”
...Marinette felt like she should’ve seen this coming. She didn’t know HOW she was supposed to see it coming, but she should have.
As Lukaler continued the song that she was sure would be playing incessantly in her head for the next month, many of her friends who had initially just stopped and stared, shrugged and started dancing instead.
Lukaler finished singing his signature song, abruptly changing it to “Here Comes the Bride”.
Chat Noir approached the stage, wearing a modified version of his suit, turning it into a leather dress. Could’ve used some more color to it, but Plagg did what he could.
Meanwhile, Adrien approached from the other side, wearing the fitted suit Marinette had modified. Though she’d had to REfit it once they both realized that in reality, he’d still be wearing his Chat Noir suit underneath it.
Figuring out how to pull this off was a little tricky. They could’ve just had one be an illusion of course, but then they’d go POOF super easily, plus they wouldn’t really still be Adrien.
The Mouse Miraculous solved the duplication problem, but then Adrien wouldn’t exactly look like ADRIEN, would he?
Ultimately he ended up using all three Miraculous - the Mouse so he could be in two places at once, the Black Cat so he could be Chat Noir, and the Fox to disguise that he was transformed using the Mouse as both Adrien and Chat Noir.
“Do you, Chat Noir, take Adrien to be your husband, through good times and bad, through sickness and through health, through whatever trials and tribulations may await you, ‘til death do you part?”
“I do,” Chat Noir said, eyes trained on… wait, was Adrien seriously blushing? Maybe it was just an illusion, but… at this point, she didn’t want to know.
“And do you, Adrien, take Chat Noir to be your husband, through good times and bad, through sickness and through health, through whatever trials and tribulations may await you, ‘til death do you part?”
“I do.”
“Then I pronounce you-” Lukaler strummed his guitar, “partners for life!”
Chat Noir gently lifted Adrien up in a bridal carry, bringing him closer, the sun playing on their hair so they almost appeared to be glowing with marital bliss, until they locked in a passionate kiss.
Marinette ducked her head, trying to deal with the VERY confused emotions going on inside of her.
Lukaler launching into a song to the tune of “Biggering” about the importance of self-love and breaking free from abusive influences was NOT helping.
But…
Looking at all her friends dancing and clapping, having fun, getting together for the first time since Hawkmoth’s defeat?
Maybe “confusing” was okay.
...she still wanted to know why Luka just happened to have a Onceler outfit available at the drop of a hat though.
“STOP!”
Marinette’s head swiveled to the voice, along with the rest of the crowd.
A boy stood at the side of the stage wearing one of those Viperion costumes that’d been gaining popularity lately, complete with…
...Ok after this was over she was going to find whoever was making these rubber masks and try to find a way to make them less nightmare-inducing. She didn’t even want to know what her own mask would look like.
(Yes she did)
(It’d be great for pranking her Kitty later)
“Lukaler, Lukaler, my dude Lukaler,” Ninoperion opined (no one else said “dude” as much as he did; she’d have to talk to him about breaking that habit while in disguise, or else Alya wouldn’t be the only one to figure out his secret identity). “I have loved you from afar for so long, have counted every day that goes by without your presence, longing only to set eyes on you once more. I- I dare not to ask, for I am simply a superhero, and you? You are an icon, rising from the ashes, never able to be killed (as much as some may have tried) but simply reincarnating in a new form, but- would you marry me?”
What.
What even.
Lukaler strutted over to Ninoperion, gently cupping his chin in his hands, tilting it upwards. “I have been watching you too,” he purred, “You underestimate yourself, for I have always loved you.” He strummed a few chords on his guitar. “Let us make sweet music together!”
NOPE.
Marinette spun around, walking back home.
“Hey, where are you going?” Chat Noir shouted at her.
“TO BED. WAKE ME UP WHEN THE WORLD MAKES SENSE AGAIN!”
“Do you think we overdid it?” Adrien wondered.
Ninoperion shrugged. “Alya’s taping this, she can catch Marinette up later. In the meantime, we have a second wedding to get underway!”
@gale-of-the-nomads invented the monstrosity known as Lukaler, and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I dunno who started the whole “Luka is Nino” thing, but I had to include it as well!
