That desperate look of longing then him trying to shake himself out of it is insane.

I know it's weird, but Alex' confession outfit in Red, White and Royal blue totally reminded me of Mr Darcy at the end of Pride and Prejudice...love both 💜

Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly. Pride is for everyone. Be yourself. Love is not a crime. 🌈

So like, I remember being super excited for the Red, White, and Royal Blue movie. I would have loved a full theater experience, but Amazon Prime does produce some quality content (watch Paper Girls), so I was hopeful.
And then we found out they changed a bunch of stuff, that honestly is pretty relevant to the story, and the chemistry with Henry and Alex was a little iffy sometimes. and so we metered our expectations.
But it's been almost six months since filming finished, and we have heard almost nothing in regards to this movie, and I'm starting to get very curious. Because I wouldn't be surprised if they drop it for Pride month, but that's only 7 weeks away and not even a teaser???
Suspicious.

watched the entire movie with a 😁 plastered on my face (minus the email reveal, had to take a breather for that honestly)
forget about the book and see it as a wholesome, homos being homos movie. you'll have the best time of your life, i promise.

I'm watching Red White And Royal Blue and i believe, it's an incredibly smart, funny, heartfelt romcom-drama movie that now that i think about it, could have gathered a huge fckin fandom if it were made into a tv show with recurring seasons and slower pace. Taylor and Nicholas would definitely have us on a chokehold but god knew they would be too powerful.
Regardless, the movie stands out for a number of reasons, first for having hard hitting yet concise dialogues at several instances(Alex's statement about coming out could spare Nick Nelson 4 episodes of fear and stress), that were elevated by the conviction of the leads as a romantic and comedic duo.
Alex's character- personality, ambitions, methods and motivations, everything is amazing. He makes his parents proud and i cannot think of a more attractive quality than that. Henry's sunshine smile comes with gloom-doom and I'm here for all of it. Poor soul dearly wishes to be a writer, living in Paris(excellent material for ff writers!), but is aware and proud of his role in the monarchy, despite questioning the purpose of the institution at times. Henry is an excellent character to slowly unravel in a tv show premise. I feel for the lost potential but i am happy bcoz he is. Brave and proud, Loving and living, I'm so happy for Henry.
The entire supporting cast slayed, no questions asked! ALL OF THEM! EVERYONE!
This movie is special. It didn't go down like i thought it would- lots of sexy+laughs=silly fun time, but nah, it conveys the messages rather seriously and that impressed me!
Did i mention how unbelievably attractive both leads are! I think i didn't stress that enough but when i say every frame is a spectacle, i ain't kidding.

Well then hello! I loved it sm. It had everything. And who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers trope? It was sexy, it was funny, it had drama and I did cry bc u know it was sad.
And I loved it sm. They did a really good job. And also Taylor and Nicholas are so fantastic it's really so good. Also Uma as the president? Iconic. Periodt.
