Well written about my fav RevCo album, from • @waxtraxchicago 35 years ago tonight, the newly configured REVOLTING COCKS played the Cabaret Metro. I had moved to Chicago 8 months earlier at the tender age of 18. I remember vividly sitting between my dad and Dannie both laughing hysterically and nervously as the night's insanity, chaos and spectacle continued to unravel. Much has already been said about that night... -Luc, reading his song lyrics from the inside of his hat... - Al, while on acid, convinced he needed to throw all the ticket money out into the audience... -the opening act, Family Plan, coming out with a shotgun trained on the audience... As we sat there wondering if anyone would demand their money back, it became clear throughout the night that this show would definitely go down in history for good or bad. What we were left with, in our humble opinion, was one of the greatest live albums of all time. This album/video still resonates and is the REVOLTING COCKS at the top of their game (with a newly transplanted and fresh faced Chris Connelly). I hope you've enjoyed YOU GODDAMNED SON OF A BITCH over the years as much as I have. Our tenth studio album was released on May 2, 2006. The second part of our Bush trilogy. “LiesLiesLies” was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 49th Grammy Awards. “Fear (Is Big Business)", "Palestina", and "Khyber Pass" appear in the Academy Award-winning film The Hurt Locker. The supporting tour was dubbed MasterBaTour. It was co-headlined with Revolting Cocks. The album was remixed as Rio Grande Dub-Ya (2007)

Happy Birthday ♎️ to Al Jourgensen @weareministry 🖤 an unrelenting and indomitable force of the Chicago industrial rock/metal sound. Although when Ministry started in the early stages they were pressured by their label Arista to be a synth-pop new wave band. Al Jourgensen has regretted their earlier sound and era in later interviews. There is reference that the label was trying to make them sound like Wham! Another tidbit that I find interesting is that he played in Divine’s back up band before forming Ministry. Personally I’m a big fan of their earlier sound, especially the first two albums, their debut With Sympathy (1983) and the follow up Twitch (1986). The book is - MINSTRY: PRESCRIPTURE; THE VISUAL HISTORY - . I'm so honored to have two of my posters featured in the book along with so many other great rock-n-roll artists!!! Too many to list here but we're all in the acknowledgments in the back of the book. . This book is filled with great pictures, spanning the career of Ministry all the way back to 1981. It's filled with the many great musicians who have been in and out of Ministry throughout the years and of course, the band's leader and front-man, the great Al Jourgensen! . The book is filled with stories from a "who's-who" of so many musicians and rock stars telling stories about Ministry... I'm pinching myself right now because I can't believe I've been included in this book with so many of my musical hero's! . Thank you so much to MINISTRY for letting me do screen printed posters over the last few years! And also, thank you so much to the publishers of this awesome book, MELODIC VIRTUE for asking me to share my art in this book!!! Melodic Virtue did a great job with this thing! It's beautiful!!! .
