I usually wear skinny jeans and hoodies with some weird print. I love oversized hoodies, they are like my main source of comfort. I have chains attached to my pants, and I love wearing too many necklaces. I usually have ghearrings (the ghost crosses) in my ears and another one on a chain around my neck. Also wearing a Baphomet (like the goat head in a pentagram) necklace, a pride heart one, a matching besties necklace with Vic and occasionally a choker. I do occasionally do all out, wearing a white dress shirt, black skinny jeans, a leather jacket and the listed jewelry with my favorite rainbow sneakers and round sunglasses. With lots of rings, mostly something skull/plant/occult themed. Always silverish color, never gold. I don't like gold.

Outside from Ghost, I mostly listen to rock and different kinds of metal. And FNaF songs.

I was a Creepypasta kid. Aside from Polish and English I speak some German and bits of Italian, but very little. I can read most arabic letters (as in I know what sounds they make).

I have lots of different posters on my walls and I have stickers on my furniture because I grew up too fast and I'm catching up on my childhood now. I've got mental issues, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, mommy issues and daddy issues. I like calling them my pokemon.

I like writing (though I barely have time for that) and re-watching Total Drama (watched it 8 times just this year) since it manages to keep my attention, something most movies fail to do, which is why I barely watch anything. I get bored very easily. I play the Sims 4 a lot, but I can't build in it for the life of me. I'm amazing at building in the Sims 3. Big fan of Assassin's Creed (I don't like the new ones, though, since it doesn't feel like AC anymore to me). I own many true crime and paranormal activity books, though I can barely read at this point. I like manga, though. Currently collecting the Soul Eater series. I love plushies. I got a new one today. Their name is Pyza. (Yes, they're enby, I even got them a pin)

I know way more about butterflies than I should. I know lots of useless trivia in general. Most of it disturbing. I'm tired 24/7, but my body either wakes up before 7AM or after 6 hours exactly and it's impossible for me to fall asleep again. My room is usually a mess, but that's okay, so am I.

I'm a total introvert, but I'm also so tired with life I forced myself to become the extrovert of the group. I'm really loud if I like people, although my affection is usually random touches on someone's arms and shoulders with a strange noise. I make noises. A lot.

For some reason, babies love me. Even though I personally dislike children. I love pets, though. All sorts of pets. Cats, dogs, snakes, spiders... Anything. If I can pet it, I want to pet it. I love moths from the attacus family, I mean just look at this gorgeous girl!

As for my personality, aside from daily mental breakdowns, I'm relatively chill, just... Very unhinged. I talked about Secondo's dick piercings in McDonald's. Compared to the shit I say, Terzo's an angel.

What our dear protagonist lacks in overall extrovertedness, he makes up for in action. Surprise surprise, dates can either range from hanging out in the dorms and cooking a nice meal together. Or maybe going to the mall and heading to the arcade. Or basically wandering around until your legs hurt and your purchases range from new outfits to weird antiques from the antique shop.

However he really does treasure these little trinkets, because the memory of your laughter when you were given a certain item will forever be ingrained in his mind. It’s a comfort in the end too.

Date nights are focused on you and you only. He definitely sets a date where he knows you both are free so that there’s less likely of a chance for being interrupted. He definitely wouldn’t want his time with you to be wasted. Although seeing his small pout when it does happen is very cute.

You also gotta be keen on if he sees something he likes and wants. While Minato won’t exactly say it, his gaze lingers a bit longer than usual. But he ultimately won’t get it, because he wants to focus on you and also save up for when the group goes to Tartarus. So if you surprise him with whatever he had wanted, he’s so happy.

While he is slightly more reserved in comparison to Yu and Akira, Minato speaks through action. Whenever you two are walking together, he always has your hand in his, or keeping close by in some way. He likes to cling to you when it’s just you two, his head buried in the crook of your neck as you two nap tother, legs tangled up together. Or the small jokes he says loud enough for only you to hear, but they’re still so funny. Sometimes you’re asked if he’s really a good boyfriend, and you have to laugh off the doubt, because they don’t see the sides of him that you do.

My god. Yu would absolutely be the best at arranging dates and hangouts. I take no criticism. Like you guys could literally just be walking all around Inaba, or just sitting by the river bed and it could be one of the greatest times you’ve both had together. A romantic at heart, Yu would also be a bit cheesy in arranging dates.

He shows affection through communcating it. Whether it’s a new outfit or something, he’ll say that you look incredible or if you’ve studied for a hard exam, he’ll make sure you know how amazing you are for passing. Idk just anything that has you smiling from sweet compliments and other words of affirmation. A big sap, honestly you try and joke about it but he just earnestly says “Who wouldn’t be for you?” And you have to sit down and hide your face in your hands for a solid 5 minutes.

You also gotta be cool with Nanako. But then again she’s a cute kid and a sweetheart so idk why you wouldn’t be. Although he does get a little flustered if it’s you two watching her while Dojima-san is working late at the station and the old ladies coo over how you three look like a mini family yourselves. Which is kind of a common occurrence. And I feel like Yu would know pretty well if he sees a future with someone he’s with, and with you he does shhh

Date nights in Inaba are really fun and a good way to wind down, sometimes it’s wandering Junes and finding whatever the newly advertised, as seen on tv appliance is. Or other parts of the shopping district, where he can really let go and just have fun for himself. When not worrying about school work or the cases the Investigation Team is working on.

some spoilers here; but after Izanami is defeated and the year ends. When Yu has to leave Inaba it doesn’t mean that he won’t put his best efforts to keep up the relationship. If possible, video calls or just the occasional text too. And when he visits, while he does miss his friends, he’s especially antsy to see you too. And when you’re both together again, he refuses to leave your side.

Now, Akira can be described as this suave, casanova type character. But he’s also a giant dork and you know it, he knows it, the Phantom Thieves all know it, hell even Sojiro knows it. It doesn’t mean his attempts at flirting doesn’t get you blushing. And when he sees the flustered expression, it only motivates him to keep going. But turn the tables on him, and he’s putty in your hands. (And he looks very cute).

Because of the way you met, aka, at Shujin, where his reputation was basically over and done with before it even began, he has a lot of doubt and trust issues, what if someone dared you to speak to the “criminal” or something? While he won’t show these doubts out loud to his friends, it’s still something he thinks back on a lot. But when you defend him vehemently one day, he knows he was right to trust you.

A part of dating Akira, is eventually finding out who he is. Maybe trips to Mementos cause him to be late to dates or not even show up at all. You end up stood up more often then not once things begin to get really serious. From small time school teachers to the literal Yakuza (and eventually a candidate for Prime Minister, and a god), you don’t know where he is. And that becomes really stressful because then the doubt™️ sets in.

To make this less angsty and more funny, imagine you know from figuring it out. He’s suspiciously watching the news on the PT, and no offense to Ryuji, he’s not the most quiet. As for date nights, the city is your oyster. I’d say the world but mans still currently has a criminal record so probably not yet. But he’s gonna take you wherever you want. Whether it’s a themed cafe, or just the streets of Shinjuku, as you take in all the sights from the bright places, he’s willing to do whatever for you. That includes facing off kids at the arcade for a stuffed plush you saw and admitted it was cute. He is a man on a mission. And you cannot stop him. So you both end up back at Leblanc at the end of the night carrying your plushies and eating some curry that Sojiro left warming for you. That even includes the Big Bang Burger challenge he will do it for you , even though you probably do laugh at his pain after but you still coo and praise his efforts.

After he goes back home, record clean and world hopefully peaceful. Virtual dates become a thing, either just sitting and talking while having dinner or something is nice. He still loves to say those cheesy pickup lines that had you hiding your flustered expression as you walked through the streets of Shibuya on call. You only hung up on him once but he quickly called back and was very pouty about it. You were forgiven though with the promise of giving many kisses when he visits.

(A/N): This is for the anon, who requested Matthew getting protective when a paparazzo comes. I apologize for taking so long, I got a bit carried away

Summary: Matthew wants to have a nice day with his baby in the park. A paparazzo wants pictures of them. How does Matthew react?

Matthew is still getting accustomed to being a single father, after (Y/N)’s mother left both of them claiming she isn’t cut out to be a family person. It’s now on him to juggle raising a four months old baby and having a job as an actor all by himself.

“Good morning my little sunshine, did you wait for dada?” He asks as he walks into her nursery, spotting his child in her bed looking around with wide eyes. Upon hearing her father’s voice she turns to it and smiles at his sight.

“Yes you did! You also gave me a whopping six hours of sleep, you really know what dada needs, don’t you?” Matthew coos at her while picking (Y/N) up. She looks at him, lifts her left arm up and grips his hair. Ever since she discovered it a few weeks ago, the baby is fascinated by it. Also, Matthew found out in a rather painful way that (Y/N) has some strength in her hands and arms.

While getting her dressed in a fluffy Minnie Mouse Onesie, he talks to her: “You know, I don’t wanna press anything on you, but if you get into acting, watch it. I don’t want to be replaced by my own daughter. And I’m not scared to fight a toddler, if I have to.” At that she coos at him, kicking her now fluffy legs. “Well, I rethink it. You are kind of cute.”

Matthew gives her a peck on the forehead, putting on some little shoes. “You know, I always asked myself why there even are shoes for babies. I mean, is there a little secret meeting with other baby executives about how the world gets overthrown by all of you and you have to get dressed decently for it? But now I am enlightened thanks to you: Baby shoes are just adorable. I mean, look at them. They are not even half my hand’s size. Thank you for that knowledge, Sweetheart.”

After a calm breakfast consisting of Matthew trying out solid food with you and him talking to you non stop, not that you mind or can do anything about it, he gets both of you ready to take a stroll at a nearby park. He promised you yesterday to do something fun after you got your shots, not that you really can remember but he is a man of his word.

“Ok Baby, I got a blanket, snacks, baby food, diapers, baby wipes, your binky and your plushie. I feel like I forgot something, what do you think?” When Matthew turns around he spots the forgotten something: (Y/N), who still lays on her playmat for her tummy time.

“Why don’t you say anything? Trying to get out of the whole ordeal? Well, that won’t work with me. I don’t raise a couch potato”, he says whilst strapping you in your stroller.

Walking around Las Vegas with his daughter gives Matthew some kind of pride. He feels like he is on top of the world, because all he needs lays right in front of him looking around with curious eyes and he is lucky enough to be able to push it around. He is able to show another human being the world, teaching her anything he knows. He has someone, who solely relies on him, waking him up at night for food, screams at him when her plushie falls down from the sofa and sometimes pukes on him after burping her.

But all this hard work is worth it. Everytime (Y/N) smiles at her father, coos at him or just looks at him with her innocent and bright eyes, he forgets any worry he has. Matthew knows he has the responsibility to raise her and he will be damned if she is anything but the nicest and sweetest kid in school.

He also sees it as his responsibility to protect her from everything. The father knows that growing up without a mother will be traumatic enough for his child, he doesn’t want something else to pile up on it.

“Here we go, baby. You got your toys, your plushie, we are in the shade and you have sunscreen on. Sometimes I think other parents are just overaggeterating. Parenting seems so easy”, he talks with her, ticking the boxes on the to-do-list in his mind.

But something makes Matthew uncomfortable. He feels watched, sitting under a tree with his daughter on his leg reading to her from his current book.

When he found out he will be a father, Matthew vowed to himself to keep her out of the media until she is old enough to decide if she wants to show her face to the public or not. Also, he doesn’t want her to be embarrassed by baby pictures of her all over some fan pages. So he does his best to hide her from paparazzi and fans.

What makes the father suspicious is the man, who already passed them three times. His behavior is far too fishy for someone, who happens to like to walk the same 100 metres long path several times.

While his fourth passing, Matthew spots a camera hanging around the man’s neck. With an angry sigh he begins to pack their stuff, knowing that his planned relaxing day at the park just got ruined. But he tries to not let it dampen the mood.

“You know what baby? Maybe we go to the zoo? We can get you a sweet new plushie and I can introduce you to all the animals in your picture books.” Her coos are answer enough.

On his walk to a small nearby zoo, Matthew notices the man following them.

Taking pictures of him when he is alone or doing something for the press is one thing, but following him and his daughter while they clearly try to have an off day together is a whole other ordeal and definitively crosses a line that shouldn’t be crossed.

Now being beyond pissed he goes into protective father mode, approaching the man.

“Hey man, I know you watch us since the park and I have to say that your way of doing your job, which is petty and disgusting in any way, is more than unacceptable and if you don’t delete any picture you took of my daughter and me I will make sure your life becomes a living hell. You get three seconds”, Matthew says to him in a low voice, which is way more intimidating than him shouting.

Shocked by his reaction the paparazzo scrambles to delete anything he has on his camera, apologizing profusely while doing it, and tries to get as far as possible when he is done.

After a deep breath the father turns to his daughter, smiling at her sight.

“What do you think about the aquarium, Baby? They are not allowed to take pictures there and I think you will like the octopi.”

1.Do they sleep with a stuffed animal? If they have multiple, who’s the favorite?

> Ahuska loves stuffed animals!! Unfortunately though, the number of times she's lost her home, her ship, moved out, had her life upended, etc etc means that the galaxy is probably littered with old and abandoned plushies of hers. When she was younger she absolutely would have clung to them in her sleep (there might have been a little pink and purple stuffed tooka cat somewhere amongst the ruins of the Jedi temple on Tython that once was hers... a little collection of coloured akks and krakjya cubs and fenwolves left behind on Ruweln, a carefully curated selection in an empty bedroom on Dxun, one or two in a tent on Tatooine, a couple in a wreck on Taris and/or in an abandoned little shack on Concord Dawn...), though as she got older her bed would have been increasingly shared with pets and then Significant Others, hahaha, so she's had plenty to snuggle with even when her plushies keep getting lost in space and time. She's definitely fond of Mister Sparkles, the oversized unicorn that she currently carts around in one version of her life, haha, while in her other life she's managed to hold onto a giant pink sprinkle donut cushion that's basically a plushie, if not a stuffed animal.

27. Forgiveness or vengeance (or…)?

> Ahuska is equally capable of either, and how she deals them out depends entirely on the situation. She's forgiven some pretty horrific things from people she cares about deeply, but has had some things done to her that she will never, ever forgive. She doesn't see forgiveness as an ideal to aspire to, but as a choice that she has the freedom to bestow or deny as suits her. She has a huge heart, and is definitely capable of incredible forgiveness, but can also be incredibly petty and vindictive and will hold onto a grudge until the end of days. That said, actual active revenge isn't high on her priority list; it's definitely come up a few times but she's regretted acting on it at least once. She's more in the business of making sure that whatever offence was committed can not and will not be repeated.

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

> Regular mode Ahuska is haunted by the image of Crow being shot through the heart. Crows face, backed by blinding white light and a streak of red, looking vaguely confused and then dropping out of view. She's lost count of the number of times that image has interrupted another dream and startled her awake, short of breath and on the verge of tears. She doesn't like talking about it.

Werewolf Ahuska runs in her sleep, forever searching. She very rarely has regular dreams, but races through the endless ripples of the Force, that she manipulates into a bright and starry landscape around her. It's vivid and beautiful and completely of her own devising, though she has no idea that it's what she's doing.

AND NOW I am crashing to sleep, haha, so I'll leave it there for now and hopefully get to mulling on some of the other kids tomorrow night!

if ya just want an actual summary and not that MESS:

Technoblade starts the stream in his house. the first thing he does is put another piece of fanart in his house, this one by snumkt on twitter. he goes to l’manburg, where he sneaks around very sneakily (/s) and replaces anti-techno propaganda with pro-techno fanart, stating that “If they take it down, it’s ‘cause they hate fanartists.” (00:09:18). 

While placing posters, Techno checks in on his hound army, and reveals that he thinks someone had been in the area, because a wolf teleported to him while he was home. He thinks someone placed water, the dog stood up, and then teleported. (00:18:25)

After breeding the dogs, Techno reads donations and one of the questions is about the SBI family dynamics. Here’s what he says at 00:20:55

He then meets up with Philza, who is being escorted by Tubbo. Techno goes to Philzas house, and hides in his new basement. He joins their VC and finds Phil, Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo. talking about birthdays. Tubbo goes to the basement and sees Technos invis particles, hits him, and he is revealed. Techno kills tubbo, and declares it canon as a joke. 

He goes back outside, deafened on Discord, and puts down more propaganda. Philza joins his call, and they meet up to try and find Technos stolen items. They don’t find the barrel, but they do find a hidden room under the podium. Techno puts a piece of propaganda in the room. (00:43:30)

While Phil is killing an enderman, Ranboo finds them, and is killed by Techno. (00:46:25) 

Techno takes Phil to see his Hound Army, but they’re stopped by Tubbo. Techno tries to pretend to be Ranboo, but Ranboo goes up to them, so his cover is blown. Techno’s chased to the portal. Phil and Techno meet again in the Nether, and they go back to the house. 

At the house, Phil and Techno talk about the SBI characters, the sellout timer goes off, and then they go downstairs to cure a zombie villager. While it’s curing, Techno gathers books to make a new bow, with Power V, Punch II, Unbreaking III, Flame, and Mending. 

Philza reveals that Ranboo is coming over to give Phil a present. Techno seems excited at this, mostly at the fact that Ranboo can be his new bows test subject. 

Before Ranboo arrives, the villager is cured, and they find out it is a nitwit, meaning it can’t trade or get a job. Techno and Phil start working on a tunnel to bring the villager to a lava pool, so the other villagers won’t gossip and raise their prices. 

Ranboo joins the call at 01:15:35, right before they’re going to bring the villager to the lava pool. He gifts Techno and Phil four Netherite ingots.

After struggling to get the villager to the right height, Techno forces Ranboo to boat the villager into the lava. Ranboo escapes by throwing a pearl, and the villager dies.

Ranboo, Techno, and Phil talk about duping Netherite, and the current plot, and then Techno finds a zombie baby villager. It’s caught in a boat, and Techno nametags it ‘Orphan.’ They talk about the cobblestone tower, Philzas’ death to a baby zombie, and how if you don’t see a child's parents, you should assume that they are an orphan and attack them. 

Techno talks to Jack Manifold through chat about his axe. Techno, Philza, and Ranboo go around and look for zombie villagers. Techno finds an igloo, with two villagers. Techno was going to try and turn them into zombie villagers, but decides to not when he finds out that theres a 0% chance of that happening on Easy mode. 

They all go back to Orphan, and bully it when they find out it still hasn’t grown up. Techno and Ranboo make a joke about how it’s traumatized, so it’ll be funny and can be come a minecraft youtuber. please get some help. (01:48:15)

After Orphan grows up, Techno trades and gets the Bottle of Enchanting trade for one emerald. They all joke about Techno owning an orphanage at 01:51:35.

Phil, Techno, and Ranboo decide go to the Hound Army, but Techno remembers that Ranboo is part of L’manburg, and tries to kill him (with his new bow) when they enter the nether. He doesn’t succeed, and he continues fighting until he drinks and invis pot on the Prime Path. Techno and Phil meet up in the Bee Dome, where Ranboo finds them. Techno tries to kill him, but runs out of arrows. 

After reading donations, Techno, Ranboo, and Phil are back together at the Bee Dome, and they decide to team up in case someone finds them. They go outside of the Dome, and chase Jack Manifold out of his own country.

Manifold joins the VC, and they try to blame Punz on his attempted murder. After Manifold says “i feel there has been an attempt on my life,” Techno says that that’s how he greets people in his country.

Manifold asks if they want to help him get revenge on Punz, and Techno agrees. They gather more people, and by the time they get to Punz’s tower, their party is Manifold, Techno, Phil, Ranboo, Fundy, and Antfrost. Punz is in the Nether, so they wait until he gets back. 

Ranboo and Techno have a whisper conversation:

Ranboo: are you just going to jump fundy

Techno: no im gonna make jack 1v1 LMAO

Ranboo: good plan

While Fundy is taking a screenshot of Techno for his thumbnail, Philza attacks Fundy with a crossbow and his sword. He claims it was because he was getting bored. 

In the same spirit, Techno asks if they could kill Manifold to pass the time. The mob, which now includes Fundy, chases Manifold. He runs to the Holy Land, and the mob boos him.  Techno tells Antfrost to kill Manifold, and that the mob won’t tell that he was killed in the Holy Land. Manifold hands Antfrost his sword. 

While Antfrost debates killing Manifold or not, the mob chants ‘peer pressure!’ at him. Techno quickly realizes that Antfrost isn’t in the VC, and is extremely confused. The sword gets handed to Fundy, who gets into a battle with Manifold. Philza tells Fundy that he’s forgiven, if he can kill Manifold. The battle calms, and neither of the contestants die.

Techno convinces the mob to go to the pit trap, and tries to lure someone onto the trapped blocks using rotten flesh. Fundy takes the bait, but moves out of the way before the button is pressed. Antfrost sneaks up behind him and punches him into the pit. Fundy survives the fall, but is shot by Manifold to death. 

During the commotion, Punz makes his way back to his house, and the mob moves towards him to end his life. Manifold says that he’s going to kill Punz, and Techno says that the mob’ll have his back. He tells the mob to not have Manifold’s back. 

at 02:17:00, Punz joins the call, and is confused as to why Manifold wants to kill him. Manifold explains that Punz tried to kill him, siting his source as Technoblade. 

also, 2:17:15 technoswear!

Techno encourages Punz, saying “Punz, he actually dropped his sword by accident and now I have it, so it’d be really easy to beat him up,” and “he also just killed in the holy land, so you have a sort of...religious motivation to take him out.”

Punz tries to fight Manifold without armor (Manifold is wearing a full enchanted set of armor, with a Netherite chestplate and everything else Diamond), which fails miserably, and Manifold is killed. 

Techno decides to fight Manifold with his goons (the mob) for the audience retention, and Manifold’s quickly killed. The final hit was from CaptainPuffy. Ponk rushes in and grabs some of Manifold’s items. Puffy takes the rest.

Manifold complains about getting bullied, so Techno gives him his sword back and tells him to avenge himself. While looking for Ponk (or Punz? this is kinda unclear), Punz swoops in and kills Manifold in two hits. 

Manifold finds Ponk and chases after him, trying to kill him. The mob follows, and Ranboo kills Ponk with thorns. Manifold takes Ponks stuff. 

Right after respawning, Ponk was blown up by a creeper, and Techno claimed both as canon. 

The mini fights continue, and Manifold is killed by Punz. 

Ranboo changes the ‘Days since last war crime’ sign to 0.

Phil tells Techno that he’s going back to the base, and the L’manburgians question him as to what base he’s talking about. Phil tells Fundy that he ripped off his ankle shackles and left. While they talk, Techno starts running back to the base, and Ranboo whispers “lets run back” to him. Ranboo follows Techno, but quickly looses him.

Phil and Techno join a separate VC together and they go back to the base. 

At 02:29:15, Phil says “I trust you” to Techno and I am going to cry. 

Right before getting to the base, Phil drinks some honey, and Techno says “that’s the only thing we have honey for, now that we’ve uh...uh I guess you don’t know about that.” He’s referring to the Vault, I think, because the redstone required honey to work properly. 

Philza responds, “the honey- wait, what did you use the honey for?” 

“uhhh....food.” Techno, for some reason, doesn’t want to show Phil the vault. 

Ranboo whispers to Techno: “My alliance isnt with lmanburg, its with the people who help me. phil helped me.”

out loud, Techno laughs about it with phil, saying, “well, I’ve stabbed him like twelve times this week, so, I [laughs] I don’t know if that entirely qualifies here.”

Techno messages Ranboo back with “new phone who this” 

Ranboo replies, “no one,” and then, “:)”

Going back to the honey talk, Philza asked if Techno had been hiding anything diabolical from him, and Techno asks if he would do such a thing. Philza guesses several things he could use honey for, such as a flying machine, TNT dupers, and a door.

Techno takes him to the vault. 02:32:00. i LOVE peoples reactions to the vault, it’s always so good. Philza responds with a surprised ‘HOLY SHIT’ and some laughing. Techno also confirms my math of 55 withers.

Tag Game rules: tag some people you want to get to know better! I was tagged by @bleachbleachbleach and although I’d like to get to know better, I think that - one again - most folks who might like to be tagged with this meme already are :D

Currently reading: Tbh, I’ve mostly been reading old Donald Duck comics and fanfic this summer xD It’s been crazy busy, but maybe the bigger reason was that about 2 months ago I turned my doctoral dissertation thingy in, for the review process thingy (uh, I probably should work with related vocabulary). I was super Done with reading anything, and felt more like cutting reeds and sweeping pine needles off the moss that grows at my parents’ summer place. I also rekindled my interest in composting.

The book I didn’t finish but am still in theory reading is Le Guin's The Dispossessed. It’s a great book, where there is a planet ruled by two superpowers (capitalist and authoritarian) but also a populated moon. The story follows a scientist who travels from the moon to the capitalist superpower. It’s about capitalism vs. communism, but probably more about being a human. I 100% intend to finish the book – I’ll just probably start from the beginning because the last time I touched was before the whole Covid 19 mess, so I may have forgotten a thing or two.

Last song: The Dead South - In Hell I'll Be In Good Company

I’m usually more of an metalhead or a fan of Finnish rock (a lot like Johnny Cash but replace Jesus with booze and the love stories fail). But In Hell I'll Be In Good Company happens to be the theme some for the fic I’m currently writing, which is why. (It’s also a great song, 0 complaints with it!).

Last movie: The Suicide Squad. It doesn’t make it to my top movies lists, but it had its moments. I was a little disappointed that many of the details I would’ve loved were played for laughs for... surficial way? In contrast with The Boys (series) where the trope-defying parts are better integrated to the story and the world.

Last series: Technically, The Simpsons. Almost every time I open the TV, some channels is showing The Simpsons. That was case also today when I ate lunch :D

The last series I’ve been watching for realz is Californication. I’ve already seen it once, but my SO hasn’t, which is a minor miracle. I’m still surprised how much I like it, keeping in mind I rarely like comedy or relationships series. I think I’m into it mostly because in the character’s lives, there is the layer of “youthful” craziness (partying, sex with strangers etc), and the layer of “middle-aged” love for their families and kids etc, and they are forced to joggle between the roles and aspects.

Coffee or tea: Tea, but I drink both.

Currently working on: I was supposed to work a Dragonlance ff this summer, but I’m actually working on a short-ish Bleach story based on one of @recurring-polynya ‘s one shot fics, Mad Scientist AU. Mine picks up from where the Mad Scientist AU ended, but there’ll be a significant time skip and most of the story is about Rukia and Renji having to drive home from a conference for Reasons. The word count is 13k atm, at which point Rukia is in a backstage of a punk rock gig, giving Inoue a lecture about the best methods to win a Chappy (or Yuki the Duck) plushie in a theme park quiz. It’s not a crack fic, though, the main focus is Rukia’s life as a “Frankenstein’s monster”. Edit: fixed the “at”

My current to-make list: 1. sew the face on the cat 2. a trans-asaurus rex for my big pride commission 3. a deer (for the trio of animals for the kids from my dad’s church) 4. more bees! 2 trans bees, 1 ace bee, and 1 genderqueer bee left to make (I think. I gotta double check my list) 5. Parrot Man for a friend of mine! After that it gets a little less orderly, but the remaining things to make are: A. a satyr for a friend of mine B. plushie ice cream cones for my nieces  C. play food for my friend’s niblings. They just moved close and she wants to have some toys for them. I have patterns for pie, ice cream cones, donuts, smores, and macarons but I’m thinking about making some of my own play food patterns? Maybe some fruit, idk. Let me know if there are any food patterns you’d like to see; my nieces love the pie and donuts I’ve made for them and their parents love that they are washable and totally soft (I tend to judge all young toddler toys by how much they will hurt when the toddler inevitably throws them) Also, like, play food for pretty much any of my friends with kids that want it, probably?  WAIT before I forget: I am not making corn. I don’t have the right fabric for it but corn is always inexplicably popular as a food-themed plushie request so I want to get that out there ahead of time lol

His Hero Part 3 -Kirishima Eijirou x Reader

Two days…

Two long, boring desk duty days.

Kirishima sighed loudly as he signed and initialed what had to be the same form for the tenth time in the same case file! 

Ah, bureaucracy of the hero world at its finest. 

Now UA prepared him for a lot of things. 

How to use his quirk fully, fighting villains, saving people, etc. 

But one thing they didn’t prepare him for was the amount of paperwork that came with his hero career. 

Hmm… maybe that’s why they gave so much homework…

Sign. Initial. Sign. Checkmark. Checkmark. Sign. Date. Wait, was he suppose to sign here or there? Crap, is that the right date? Did he just date everything wrong?! No wait, false alarm, the date is correct.

His chair gave a loud creak as he stretched his back, glancing up at the clock. He’d been at this for hours now, and he still hadn’t even made a dent in the wall of folders on his desk. 

His mind started to wander as he stared up at the clock hands that he swore he saw moved backward a few times. 

I wonder how (Y/N) doing…

It was crazy how badly he wanted to call up to the hospital and check on you, but… he was nervous. The last thing he wanted was for you to think he’s some creepy ex stalker who you literally barely knew you.  

He just… was worried about you. He wasn’t looking for another hookup! No, no, no! He just wanted to see how you were. He did care about you, not in a creepy way just in a general way!

Luckily he wasn’t completely in the dark about your condition, thanks to his green-haired bro. The morning after the robbery, Kirishima woke up to a thoughtful text on your condition. He even got an update on your son, who loved his news toys and played hard with them till he passed out in his mother’s arms.

God, he wished he could have seen it. 

He sighed loudly before tossing the file in the ‘completed’ section while reaching for the next one. He blinked as he lifted up the hefty folder. 

It was the toy store robbery. 

Damn, this was going to be a long one—numerous villains, along with multiple injured civilians and a fair bit of collateral damage. This was going to take the rest of the day. Thankfully, though, Fatgum should be just getting back from lunch, and the store just had a damn good security system installed last week.

“Well, would ya look at that? I guess paper really does beat rock.” A slightly slimmer Fatgum chuckled as he walked in their shared office, arms full of takeaway bags. 

“Ha Ha,” Kirishima laughed sarcastically, glancing over to the older hero. “Got enough food, Toyo?”

“I used quite a bit of energy yesterday on that emergency call. Gotta bulk back up.” He dumped the food on to the small table across the room. “Plus, we’re going to be here a while when those reports.”

“Yeaaaaah. Just got to the toy store one. Did the detective ever send the surveillance footage over?”

“Yeap, got it this morning. Check your email. I think you’re on it too.“ 

"Sweet. I’ll load it up.”

“And I got the snacks,” He grinned as he held up one of the bags. 

After some quick furniture rearrangement, two sat side by side in their chairs, video buffed, snacks to side, pen and paper at the ready for notes. This was still work after all.  They chose to use the blondes’ monitor since it was bigger. He had seniority, so he typically got the good stuff, which the redhead was cool with. 

The first 20 minutes of the video was pretty boring so then ended up fast-forwarding until a familiar pair entered the frame.  

It was you and your son. The two of you were slowly making your way down the sidewalk towards the store. Kirishima, who’d previously been slouched and looking rather bored, was not hyper-focused on the screen in front of them. Which didn’t go unnoticed by his mentor, who just snickered quietly to himself. 

“Look! There they are!” The younger hero couldn’t help but smile as he watched the two you. You had a sly smile on while your son, who was looking rather frustrated, said something to you. He watched as your lips moved, but nothing came from the speakers. What were the two of you talking about?

 Damn, he wished there was audio. 

“They look pretty happy, don’t they?” Fat gum comment just as you pointed to the shop, the kids’ faces lit up like a Christmas tree. The kid wasted no time as he grabbed your hand and dragged you inside the store.

“Yeah, they really do.” Kirishima grinned as he pressed a key, switching the view to inside. The redhead beamed as the two of you bounced from isle to isle, your son getting physically more and more excited. 

Something churned in him. 

Something that’s been happening here a lot recently. He noticed it a few weeks ago. 

How his gaze would linger on families he’d pass down the street or on Bakugou as he interacted with his daughter.  He really didn’t know what it was at first and just tried to ignore it. 

But when he ran into you and your son two days ago, those emotions were brought to the forefront.  And these last two days of drowning himself in work wasn’t just to get you off his mind. It was to drown out his feelings.

He… wanted this… 

A wife…. A kid… A family…

Not that he doesn’t have a family! He’s still got both of his parents plus his sister he talks to on a pretty regular basis. He’s also really close with his friends to the point where he thought of them as family. Hell, his literal best friend lives right next door to him. You’d think he has it all? 

A loving and supportive family. Amazing friends. An awesome career that is literally his dream. 

Sounds fantastic, right? 

But sometimes, after the long hard days. His apartment just felt empty. 

He was greeted with a quiet (Bakugou’s yelling is more like background noise to him now) home.  

No one to greet him when he gets home after a long day.

No one to just cuddle and share thoughts with. Even the stupid or random ones.

No one to share meals with while they go over plans or talk about their days. 

No one to have petty arguments with like who ate all the cereal and didn’t put it on the list, who left the cap off the toothpaste, not replacing the toilet paper.

No one but himself.

He had a few roommates for a while, but they all moved out to live with their s/o. He’d tried dating and even had a girlfriend move in with him once, but that ended badly. Hero life was hard. Being the significant other of a hero, well, that could be even harder some days. They broke up not long after, and he’d been single ever since. 

He mentally sighed. Guess it was the bachelor’s life him…

He continued to watch the two of you browse another aisle as you made your way to the back of the store. From the angle of the camera, he could barely see you now.  His hand itched to switch the view to the rear camera, but he restrained himself.  This was his job; he needs to watch for the villains, not ogle you. No matter how beautiful you were. How soft and sweet your voice was. Or how quickly that demeanor changed when it came to the safety of your son. He knows first hand you don’t come between a momma bear and her cub. He wouldn’t lie, seeing you go into protective mode, just… damn.

Thankfully, before that thought could go any further, two figures walked through the front door and into the frame. It was the villains. They could only watch as the villains made their way over to the front desk and the shopkeeper. 

The villains split up, the smaller one stayed near the desk while the larger one stalked around closer to the racks. He could see the villains and the shopkeeper talking but couldn’t make out what was being said. Lip reading wasn’t his thing. But it was apparent the villains were trying to intimidate the scared-looking man. 

A flash in the corner of the screen brought his attachment back to you as you and your son moved closer to the front and ultimately closer into danger. 

“No..go back…” Kirishima whispered under his breath as he watched the next bit unfold.  The brute yelled something, gave his partner before giving the rack on end a hard shove. Toys and plushies tumbled from their metal shelves as the racking toppled over into the one beside it. 

He already knew what was coming.

That rack fell into the next, which fell into the next one. Line by line, row by row. All the shelves dominoed into each. 

His eye darted from the villain back to where you were, his body on full alert. Your head jerks to the side, no doubt from the sound of the loud crashing. With reflexes that surprised even him, he watched as you grabbed your son just as the shelf beside you gave in to the weight of the rows before it. 

“Is there any other view on them?” He couldn’t stop himself from asking. Yeah they were suppose to keep their eyes on the villain's for the report but... 

“Yeah, there’s one in the back.” Fat was already reaching for the keyboard as he glared at the screen, his food seemingly forgotten. The screen flashed for switching over to the back of the shop.

It was total chaos. Toys, plushies, and other items were scattered everywhere from the falling rows. And there in the middle of the disaster area was you and your son. Nearly all of you laid beneath the rack currently pinning you to the floor, save for your one arm and your head. Your son wasn’t in any better of a position; he could only see the top of his head. Suddenly the video stopped. Fatgum had paused the video before playing back the part of you, grabbing your son, right before the rack fell. 

“Good reflexes.” The older man sighed in relief. “Little guy would have been crushed if he’d stayed .” Kirishima could only nod as they continued to watch. The video was back to where it was before, with the two of you being pinned under the rack. Even though he couldn’t seem much of you, he knew the two of you were scared. How could you not be? Damn, he should have gotten there faster! 

If he’d been faster, maybe… you wouldn’t have gotten hurt as bad, or your son wouldn’t have been as scared. Though, to be honest, it was just chance they’d been in the area. Guess you could say it was a right place at the right time kind deal. The two heroes just finished their shift and were heading back to the agency. They’d gotten into a debate on food and made a wrong turn, which put them on that street. A loud crash caught the attention of a civilian across who called to them from across the street.

If they hadn’t been there, how long would it have taken for the call to come in? How long would you have been pinned there? How long would your son have to watch you suffer, alone, scared?

A shadow in the corner of the screen shook him from his thoughts. It was the bigger villain making his way towards the back of the store. 

“Hide…” Kirishima mumbled as they watched the villain make his way over to you.  You shifted, hiding your son further into the small hollow, but leaving you exposed and unprotected. 

“The detective said in the email that a part of this was pretty hard to watch, I’m guessing that’s about to come up…” Fatgum muttered sadly, putting his snacks down on the table. They watched as the villain stopped in front of you. The man was clearly saying something to you, but you only kept your head down, shielding your young son. The villain tensed for a moment. Was it something you did? Or maybe you said? Whatever it was clearly angered him as he gave you a wicked grin before putting his foot on the rack above you. Before, the redhead wished there was sound, but now, he was grateful for the silence.

 "That bastard!“ He saw red as he watched you scream from the man applying more force to the shelf. 

"Easy Red, they’re both ok, that guy won’t be able t-.” The older man tried to calm down his partner, well, until the villain kicked you in the face. That made the older hero jump to his feet. “That fiend! Just you wait till we get there! You’ll regret that!” As enraged as Kirishima was, he couldn’t help but smile and chuckle at how quick his mentor’s demeanor changed.  

After picking his char up off the floor, Fat sat back down, and the two returned to watching the video. It wasn’t long, for they saw the villain’s lip moves, still looking over for walking off-screen. You weren’t moving, and your face was now covered in blood. 

Nothing moved on the screen for the longest time. Fat was just about to reach over and speed up the video when something caught his eye.

It was your son. 

Kirishima’s heart broke as he watched the small boy pull himself out from under the wreckage. He was shaking, and his clothes were torn, but thankfully, he wasn’t hurt. Well, not physically anyway. How the kid managed to walk away from that unscathed was a miracle. (Y/S/N) looked in the villain’s direction before turning back to you. It was hard to see the kids face at this angle, but the heroes didn’t need to. They knew he was crying as he gently shook you, trying to wake you up.

Sadly you weren’t waking up, not then anyway. 

If he’d been in that kid’s shoes at his age, he would have given up right then and there.

But not this kid. 

No, instead, he grabbed your arm and started pulling you. Trying to drag you up from under the rack.

This elementary school kid, who was just the victim of a villain attack, was trying with all his might to save his mom. He jerked and strained as he tried to pull you from under the massive weight, but you weren’t budging. He gave one final strong pull before slipping on remnants of a displaying, causing him to fall back on his butt. Kirishima had to physically stop himself from moving.  

The kid was back on his feet in a flash, this time though he was trying to lift the rack. He knew he couldn’t lift the shelf; even with a quirk, it would be impossible for him given his size. But there he was still pushing with everything he had. 

“Poor little guy. He must have been terrified but look at him. He’s really giving it his all." 

"He’s an awesome kid. If it’d been me, I’d be too scared to move.” Kirishima’s voice was full of pride but held a trace of sadness. The redhead was proud of the squirt. Most kids, hell, most adults would have been paralyzed with fear. 

But not him. 

Despite the fear.

Despite the pain. 

Despite the hopelessness.

He still kept trying.

He’d make a hell of a hero one day…

A flash of red in the corner of the screen jolted him from his thoughts. 

It was himself. They’d finally arrived to help. While the video played out in front of them, the rest of his senses played his memory. He could hear the kids cry for help. He could feel the weight of the shelf as he moved behind the kid to rescue you. The warmth yet limpness of your body as he pulled you from the wreckage. The wailing of your son calling out for you. The relief when he felt your pulse still beating beneath the fragile skin of your neck. The overwhelming emotions as tried to comfort the small, terrified child in his arms. 

Fatgum paused the video once everyone was out of frame. You on a stretcher and him with your son still in his arms.

“You did really good out there today, Red.” Fatgum grinned at him before reaching over to the file on the desk, flipping through the report.

“Thanks.” Kirishima sighed. “I just wish I could have done more. Maybe if I’d been faster, (Y/N) and (S/N) wouldn’t have had to suffer as much. Some hero I am…" 

"Don’t say that! You did everything you could and believe me when I say this, at that moment, you truly became that kids hero.”

“Hmm…"  Fatgum gave the folder in his hand a puzzled look before hit rewind on the footage.

"What’s up?” Kirishima glanced up at the larger hero. 

“It’s nothing really. Just wondering something. The paramedics said the kid was ok right?”

“Yeah, they checked over him at the scene. His clothes were torn up some, but surprisingly, the little guy didn’t have a scratch on him.” A light bulb went off. “Wait, How did he do that? He was under that rack too!”

“That’s what I was wondering. Maybe he used his quirk? If he did, given the shape he momma was in, it might have saved his life.”

“Hmm… well, he did say that his quirk was kind of like mine. But I didn’t see him use it.” He thought back. Fat paused the video to right as the rack was falling on to the two of you. It was still hard to watch, but they went through it frame by frame. “I can’t see anything resembling a quirk…”

“Hmm… I can’t tell anything. If he has a defensive quirk, it doesn’t really stand out. Plus, with all the objects falling around them, it makes it harder to tell. 

"Maybe his clothes are hiding it?”

“Hey, can you go to the part where he crawls out? I think there was a pretty good shot of him there.” Fatgum nod hit a few keys to comply. “There! Right there!” They let the video play out from there. 

Until they saw it. For a split second, the kid is looking right at the camera, showing his whole face. And something… just looked off. Was something wrong with the camera? Maybe it was a trick of the light or the lens?

“Can we zoom in on his face?” Kirishima leaned forward, looking closely at the screen as Fat zoomed in on the boy’s face. The screen was blurry for a minute, but slowly the video started to render, making the image clearer.

What? Was his skin…. hardening?

No, it was just hardening.. it was sharpening too… Just like his…

Kirishima felt his heart take a free fall into his stomach. 

 The kid didn’t have a quirk similar to his. 

No, his quirk was exactly like his!

The room started to spin as he felt like every molecule of breathable air suddenly took an exit stage right, right out of the room. 

“Hey… Kirishima… when did you meet (L/N) again?” Kirishima could barely hear Fat’s question over the ringing in his ears.

Papa Dick and Babynette

Sorry for the late update and I’m also sorry if this part isn’t as good as the others. I’m kind of coming down with writers block. Btw in a few more chapters I would like to introduce a mama figure for Mari but I’m having trouble deciding. Two people who have been shown to be in a relationship with Dick most time is Koriand’r/Starfire and Barbara/batgirl, but I am open to more suggestions (but I’m also open to ‘dad’ suggestions). So please help me choose, either send me an ask or comment on this part. I will keep count. Anyways, Enjoy 😊

After a short seconds Bruce turned away from them and looked back down at his granddaughter, she had finished her formula so he stood up from the couch, placed the baby bottle in the sink and headed towards Dick’s room. While he was walking it was fast to realize that Marinette was a very energetic baby. It was a bit challenging keeping her in his arms, they were almost to her papa’s door so maybe she’d could crawl her way there. He put her and she made her way to his door, she gently pushed it open and and made her way to the bed.

Bruce helped her get on the bed to her papa, he gently picked her up and placed her a couple feet away from Dick. She slowly made her way closer to him and laid next to him. He must have felt her in some way because he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to were he was. A minute later he opened his eyes and she was staring at his, Bruce had already left since he knew Dick was already waking up. It took him about 5 minutes to properly get out of bed and change himself and his daughter.

He changed into a navy blue button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Over it he wore a black leather jacket that had a hood attached to the back of it. He also wore denim jean pants that were ripped at the knees, his shoes were plain white. He changed Marinette into a navy blue shirt and white overalls with a pastel colored floral pattern on it. Her shoes were pink and when hit with the right light it showed the holographic design. Sure he was a fashion disaster but he would at least put more effort for his little girl.

Once they were dressed up he picked her up and placed her on his hips and made his way to the kitchen were his brothers, Bruce, and Alfred were waiting. They were all eating their breakfast and there was already a plate waiting for him, thanks Alfred! Bruce already explained what had happened so everything was cleared up for the most part. He sat down on his chair while she sat down on his lap and ate her baby food. Nothing was really planned out for today, Bruce had told them that he would not head over to the office unless it was absolutely necessary for him to be there, he wanted his granddaughter time. Maybe just have a nice family outing for once.

They sat down on the couch while they decided on what to do that day. All of them agreed that if they were going to go out, they should try their best to make sure that they a bit unrecognizable, especially Dick. He didn’t exactly want people to know about her yet. The amusement park was a few blocks away maybe they could have some fun there. Tim, Jason, Bruce, and Alfred all wore clothes that were in the way back of their closet that they didn’t really wear anymore and put on a pair or sunglasses to cover their eyes. Dick fixed his hair to one side and put on a pair of sunglasses as well.

They headed out for that after Dick had packed up on baby supplies for Mari. They walked all the way to the park taking turns carrying Mari. Out of all of them the two people who she stayed the most calm were her papa and of course her great grandpa Alfred, who unsurprisingly was great with kids. Once they entered the park they were blasted with all sorts of booths. Ring toss, “how strong are you”, ticket booths for the fun house, and others that were just covered in stuffed animals. One in prize in particular chaught Mari’s eye. It looked like a small Nightwing plushie.

After she set her eyes on it she pointed directly at the booth and tried pull her papa towards it. He got the message and followed were she was pointing at. The moment he took her there she guided him to the plushie. He didn’t know if he could possibly love her more than he already did. After a few tries he finally won her the prize she wanted, Tim handed her back to him and shortly after he was holding her, he gave him the prize which she hugged it as tightly as she could, it warmed his heart.

For the rest of the time she did not let go of the toy, they had won many more of course but the one her papa got her was still her favorite out of all the bunch. It was getting very late and Mari was already getting tired, so they headed home. Everything seemed peaceful, joyful, and calm....but that couldn’t last long.

The were a couple block away when they was people running the opposite way that they were headed. Screams all over filled their ears. Suddenly smoke covered the streets, you could hardly make out a figure. Dick quickly covered his daughter with his jacket, she was shivering from fear, and it enraged him. Something had enough force to push them back and onto the solid concrete. He heard laughter a few streets away.

“Ahhh, new city, new chaos. Don’t you think? HAHAHA!!”

There MUST be reform. I don't think entirely taking away the right to bear arms is the answer, but there needs, needs, NEEDS to be some serious tidying up regarding it. I believe it should be much more difficult to legally obtain a firearm with very extensive background checks and things of the like. I firmly do believe it would help SOME to prevent gun violence. Nothing is ever going to completely stop it unless firearms just cease to exist, but anything that helps reduce it is worth it. Would you have a big cat (like a tiger) for a pet if you could? Absolutely not. Big cats are extremely dangerous with strong hunting instincts, and besides putting my life at risk, I am not forcing a large animal into a small space. Do you like animals better than most humans? Sure as hell do. What simple things in life bring you the most joy? Hearing birds chirping in the morning, crickets and toads at night, starting my soda for the day (rip), watching snow fall, feeling a cool breeze on a nice day with the windows open, my pets wanting to cuddle... just to name a few. What the Hell is a Fumo Anyway?

So how did you learn about Fumos?

I don’t know when I first became aware of Fumos. I’d guess it came up in a stream at Spriteclub.tv, where many of the users are fans of the Touhou series, or at least its characters. 

Streams tend to be ground zero for memes, and Fumos have quickly become the flagship meme of the rapidly growing Touhou community. I’m sure what happened was that one user mentioned the word Fumo, and me, being the curious soul that I am, googlged it, and the rest is history.

Since then I’ve obtained 4 of these precious plushies. I’m in the process of obtaining my 5th. I’ve posted hundreds of pictures and a few videos. I’ve dug up my old lighting kit for the first time since my old film days. I’ve made cross country trips and visited landmarks in pursuit of getting pictures of my fumos in unusual or interesting places. And in the meantime, I’ve been learning via trial and error how to become a digital personality in a way I hadn’t before.

What’s the reaction been like?

The results have been decidedly mixed- amongst the Fumo community, my pictures have traveled pretty far, racking up tons of likes and retweets, especially recently as bigger accounts started picking up my work. More engagement means I create more Fumo content, which reached a point where this was pretty much ALL my main account was dedicated to.

The negative side of this is that my IRL friends and mutuals have all but dropped off my Twitter map with the exception of a select few. Weirder still, not only have they not engaged with this latest hobby of mine, but they won’t even like, acknowledge it exists. Like, you’d think there’d be questions about what a grown dude is doing taking pictures of dolls- but nope. Nothing but silence- and a likely place on their mute lists.

But I don’t think I can blame this entirely on Fumos. The same irl people who ignore my Fumo photography also ignored my film work back when I made movies and ignored my writing when I was working on Alice and the Pale Horse. While Fumos are a bit more off the map than those hobbies were, it just goes to show that the first people you should count on for support of your art are total strangers- and the last ones you should be worried about liking your work are the people you actually know irl.

What IS wild to think about is that my fumo work has been shared more widely than anything I’ve ever written or directed. I’m finally being sorta seen! -just...not in a way I ever expected. 

So why did you decide to start playing with dolls???

I’ve always liked cute stuffed things. When I was a kid I had baskets full of stuffed animals. As an adult I have tons of plushies- everything from Club Mocchi Mocchi to pillows. I like soft, smushy things that are in the shape of things I enjoy! So Fumos were an easy sale for me, aesthetically. 

But from a more serious, psychological standpoint- I’d say depression was probably the driving factor. I don’t see many people IRL- I’m a bad initiator, I’m deeply introverted, I don’t have many social skills, I’m not neurotypical and I didn’t make many friends in adulthood. When I started looking into Fumos, I saw this vibrant, deeply positive community that rallied around taking wholesome pictures of plushies out in the world- a world I was pretty scared to get into because of my aforementioned emotional problems as well as the pandemic. 

Fumos gave me an excuse to find courage to get out there and see the world again. Whether it’s a walk down the street or a trip to New Orleans, it is no exaggeration to say that if not for the Fumos, I’d likely still be at home.

But what’s more, Fumos also woke up a creative impulse in me that I’d thought had been dead since I quit making film. I found myself behind a camera again, lighting shots and keeping an eye out for interesting moments to photograph. I kept a Fumo with me everywhere I went just in case I’d find an interesting shot. I felt creatively alive for the first time since maybe college.

So to sum it up, Fumos became a framing lens for me finding the courage and creativity that depression and anxiety had robbed from me during my 20s.

I hear you made a Fumo alt. Why make an alt when your photos were JUST taking off and doing numbers?

Honestly, I was toying with the idea of doing a gimmick account for a while. I just didn’t want to put in the work of managing two accounts. 

A few bigger Fumo accounts found my content this weekend and started RT’ing me, and that’s when I started doing bigger numbers than I’d expected. At first this was fine- the Fumo community, by and large, is really chill, gentle and kind. But like any community, there are fringes that you’d rather not have within a few degrees of separation of your personal life. So Sunday night I decided to lock down my personal account and finally do the thing and create a new alt handle for Fumo-only content called @FumosOfCrash.

The alt is already pulling in decent numbers and followers. I’m reposting a lot of my old content and finally getting it some attention. It’s been fun to watch the numbers go up. I’m a big RPG fan so you know I love that stuff. And I also have the pleasure of not stressing too hard about who is following the alt- I don’t feel like I have to check everyone’s credentials at the door, ya know?

I guess I just got really, really nervous Sunday night about some of my new follows. I’m normally a very private person, and the sudden deluge of followers felt very overwhelming. I try to keep an open mind and stay off of controversial topics in the interest of welcoming all sorts of new people into my life, but there are some places I just can’t travel, and my work was reaching some parts of Twitter I just wasn’t comfortable with. So I took action to protect my personal account while creating a new handle where I could be more public-facing without having the worry about anything goofy carrying over into my real life.

I’ll probably keep my personal locked down for a while until things chill a bit. If you’re a current mutual of mine reading this- don’t worry, we’re good, we’re cool. I have nothing against you or anyone else in the Fumo community. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my new pals on Twitter and there’s a handful of accounts I’d even go so far as to call my “friends” now, even if we’ve never talked IRL.

So what’s next for you and your Fumos?

Well, currently, we have Sakuya, Marisa, Meiling and Alice. We are currently trying to track down a Reimu, but it hasn’t been easy.

I’ll be reposting my old work to my alt with a few updates a day, as well as retweeting work from my mutuals. I may also start doing videos again. From there, it’s just a question of how high the numbers go. I’d like to think I could get to a thousand followers, even if that number makes my head spin.

But the truth is I’ll post Fumo content for as long as its fun. And then someday, when it stops being fun...I’ll just stop. Who knows, maybe there will be a day where I won’t need the dolls to confidently go out in public or visit a new city? Or maybe this trend will die or the engagement will totally die out. I hope it doesn’t, ‘cuz I’ve really enjoyed it to this point, but all good things have to come to an end.

Until then, I’m just going to have fun, take breaks when I need them, and enjoy wherever this ride takes me!
