FitnessInfluencer!Reader x GymBro!Ghost
so i’ve recently really gotten into going to the gym and i can’t stop thinking about Ghost working out and reader being an annoying influencer that is always recording at the gym. the last thing he needs is a camera in his face when he is trying to work out and de-compress from his deployment.
After finally finding a 24 hour gym, you get your things ready to film your content. Your youtube channel is one of the most popular nowadays, and it’s the platform where you make most of your videos. Most of them teach people workout series, ranging from stuff they can do at home, hardcore exercises and even a step to step guide on how to use each gym equipment, so newbies don’t get scared of training for the first time by themselves. However, sometimes, you do some vlogging on the side, showing your daily routine and other things, like skincare.
You figure 3 am is a good time to go to the gym and record - no one is at training by then and your schedule is already fucked anyways. Not having an office or regular work hours has its ups and downs, but at least you are in charge of own routine, since you make a surprisingly good amount of money from your videos.
You take your own time, making a protein smoothie (and obvioulsy recording it, as you had a paid partnership with the supplement’s brand) and writing down your ideas for the video you want to do today. You stick to a simple “leg day” vlog, typing on your phone what machines and reps you want to do.
Choosing a simple purple top and matching leggings, you make your way towards the gym on your Range Rover, Stanley cup filled with water on the cup holder. You roll your eyes as you make a turn and can feel the water dripping out of the cup. You make a note to yourself to bring a water bottle the actually works next time and keep it off camera, so the useless cup can just sit on frame for aesthetic purposes while your record.
If you had to point out one thing you hated about your job, it would be having to keep up with all the (in your opinion, useless) trends, so you could reach a bigger audience. At the end of the day, it was about making money, although you loved how your content got to inspire people to be more active. If it meant you had to carry a metal 40oz lead poisoned cup with you for a couple of hours, then so be it.
As soon as you park your car at the gym’s empty parking lot, you pull out your vlog camera, not noticing the single black truck parked in the far corner, under a tree.
Sometimes you wonder if you would hate your “vlog persona” if you met her in real life. Repeating the same phrases over and over again, trying to get the best take, constantly looking for better lighting. What looks good on camera, in real life, just looks painfully awkward sometimes, specially when you are talking to an audience that isn’t even there. You push those thoughts to the back of your head, as you slide your card at the gym’s card reader, opening the doors.
“Anyways, guys. I know it sounds crazy right?” You make your way into the gym, re-recording the introduction at least 3 times so you know you’ll have good material to edit later. “Training at 3 a.m. I don’t even know if it’s technically morning or night right now.” You joke to the camera. “Let me know in the comments if I should start the videos with ‘Good morning’ or ‘Goodni’-“ a hand suddenly grabs the camera from your hand, holding it right above your head. You stare at the man who seemed to materialise out of the shadows.
“How about ‘Goodbye’.” He says, and you barely have time to register his sarcasm as he slams your camera on the floor, breaking it in pieces. You stand there, frozen, while the man swings his duffel bag over his shoulders and heads out of the gym.
When you finally regain your senses, he is long gone, and you’re left wondering to yourself, not only who he is, but also who does he think he is. You barely had time to register what he looked like, simply recalling we was well over 6ft tall and build like a fucking tank. But regardless of his built, if he believes, even for a second, that he can do something like that and just walk away unscathed, he is dead wrong.
You can’t wait to see him again.
A.N: wrote this with my eyes literally closing, but i just couldn’t get it out of my head (sorry for any mistakes, def not proofread). hopefully it’s not complete shit. let me know if you want to see more of this! i could see this becoming either a short series or at least having one more part. Let me know if you want to be tagged if this has a part 2 :)

30 Days of Routine
This is technically still a studyblr, so why not (also you can skip this post if you want - it's long and tedious):
I have several routines that I need to maintain to make sure I don't return to a pile of mush which - between a very, very hot summer, moving house, uni going back, grandad passing, and just general stress - are at about 30% maintenance (yes i made that number up). So, instead of doing the 30 Days of productivity challenge, I'm going to do 30 Days of routine to get them locked in again.
What are the routines?
Having a lie down after lunch for 30 mins
Listening to a Smiling Mind track at least once a day
Doing my OT and physio exercises
Doing my stretch routine
Smiling Mind will probably be the hardest - and most important - because after having it locked in for over a year, I just stopped using it. I'm not sure why - maybe when my health started to improve, I started making excuses for skipping it? Idk. I used to listen to one in the first half of my nap (because naps are incredibly boring), and/or before bed. I haven't decided where to re-establish it yet, so I'll experiment with it a bit.
My OT and physio exercises tend to fall by the wayside whenever I've had an exhausting day (which is, y'know, often), but whenever I do maintain them I tend to do better during the day - which is the point of them, duh, so it's important I get back into the routine of them. My physio gave me SO MANY to do, so I've been adding them one at a time. I haven't added a new one since before New Year's so an additional goal for this is to add another one by the end (maybe even a sitting up one - gasp!).
Stretch routine should be easier, because I tend to do it after my exercises, and I already am very familiar with it from when I used to go running (rip :,) ).
An important thing of this challenge is I don't have to do EVERYTHING. That is the goal, but if not doing one is going to make it easier doing another, then that's okay. Also, sometimes I can't do them - e.g. today I start work at 12pm, and I can't really have a nap in the middle of the shift. As long as I at least do one of them.
I probably shouldn't count yesterday because it was before I made this post, but I'm going to anyway because a) yesterday was the first of the month and that's a nice number to start with, b) I did everything yesterday, c) I came up with the idea yesterday, I just couldn't be bothered writing it up before bed, and d) it's my challenge and I can do whatever I want.
I haven't done something like this since undergrad, and that was for studying, not something like this, so wish me luck!

“Okay, but what are you actually doing for fitness?”
As a disabled person who is not a fitness instructor, it’s hard for me to actually blog about tips on exercising - a lot of it just isn’t designed for me. Another thing is that unless the person describing the routine to me has also dealt with CFS, I need to take their advice with a grain of salt and also wildly dial down the intensity - intense workouts are not safe for people with CFS/ME/SEID, and this means for people with Long COVID or Long Lyme or anything like that too. Exertion of that kind can cause crashes that last several days, weeks, or months at worst. If you have any form of chronic illness, I heavily recommend that you take whatever workout you’re doing and dial down the intensity a lot - only doing a couple of reps at a time, etc. Your workout should feel like it’s too easy. I’m serious.
There is, as far as I can tell, only really one person in the topmost Youtube search results potentially worth listening to in regards to CFS/ME and fitness - a lot of the rest of it seemed like it was overly spiritualistic or based on unclear science. (There were even claims that psychology or retraining your brain could somehow fix CFS... Youtube, do better! It’s a physical post-viral condition!!!)
Tumblr media
Raelan Agle is self-described as someone who has recovered from CFS and is the primary person I could find making any videos in regards to exercise with CFS/ME/SEID. She also just talks about CFS and her personal journey with recovering from/minimizing symptoms from it in general. I’m personally going to be looking into her videos more in the future and seeing what I can take from them for my own life. However, a word of caution - she seems to have bought into things like juice cleansing/clean eating, and while if that helps her, that’s wonderful, I worry about the safety of recommending practices like that to others. That type of “wellness” industry thing contributes to a lot of bad, like eating disorders and even cults. So be careful.
I’m a wheelchair user, so wheelchair exercise or seated exercise (I do have control of my legs, I can technically ambulate on my tip toes) is critical to me. Luckily that’s not too hard to find. Much easier than good tangible advice for people with postviral illness, anyway. A little bit of searching on Youtube before I started this blog, and I found Paul Eugene’s channel.
Tumblr media
He does a number of videos designed for seated exercise, low impact exercise, and other forms of exercise for older or disabled people in a variety of settings for a variety of purposes. He’s not a wheelchair user himself, and he does advertise some of the exercise as ‘fat burning’, but the commitment to accessible workout information is appreciated and very helpful. Some of the videos are set to gospel music but most aren’t.
Tumblr media
Another channel is Adapt To Perform, which is actually run by a wheelchair user! He does a number of live streams, reels, and other things like that. Not really my preferred format, but it seems incredibly helpful to anyone in a wheelchair. In any case, if you have a disability, an injury, or a postviral illness like I do, be sure to be very careful and know your own limits before attempting any kind of workout or exercise!

I would have thought at my age I would have learned to be a much nicer person. And yet, I still struggle with the and/or conundrum. Rationally I know that situations aren’t an OR there can be an AND involved. But that doesn’t stop the monster inside rearing its ugly head and running rampant (literally and metaphorically!).
To start at the beginning, I stopped running two years ago because I started a job (BK) where I knew nothing and felt I needed to tie myself to my desk and cudgel my brain constantly in the hope that I may just understand what the fuck the product actually did. Ergo, any form of exercise was interpreted by me as an excuse to get away from cudgelling and effectively avoiding and procrastinating getting a grip with the product. So, I stopped running in order to sit at my desk and punish myself for not being a software engineer and not understanding the technicality of the product I was supposed to be managing.
Finally, reason reasserted itself and I decided, fuck this shit, I need to start running again after 12 months of inactivity, so I joined the BK Strava group.
Worst. Move. Ever.
My incompetent boss had also just taken up running, all the engineers in my team were runners. So, I joined and within 2 weeks decided that the only way to prove my worth to engineers (who saw the product function as completely useless) was to run not only faster but further than they were. And of course, I also had to prove to my incompetent boss that not only was he incompetent but also he sucked at running.
Oh the hubris, oh the ego. You know what happens next! Pride before a fall …. and all that!
So, I proceeded to increase not only my pace but my milage …. AT THE SAME TIME!! Plus running on trail, up hill and down dale, through forest and never on smooth, road base where speed is possible. And not over a reasonable time period, oh no, I increased 50% every week for six weeks, posted regularly on Strava and glowed under the “likes” and comments from said engineers and VP of Product. Until I broke my body. Well, destroyed the tendon that attached my left hamstring to my sit bone.
But of course, instead of stopping when intense pain started, I decided that I should not only keep running but keep increasing pace and distance …. I’d show not only those engineers and my useless boss … but my useless body….sigh ….
Until I couldn’t, pain of the white noise variety that starts to interrupt everything forced me back to the Physio. His words …. Wow, you must have a really high pain threshold …. that seems to be a recurring comment from health professionals!!
And so running ground to a halt in April last year after having run through pain since January …. four fucking months I continued to destroy that tendon.
Fast forward to now….. ten months of physio for my tendon, plus extra sessions for a torn pectoral tendon (because I couldn’t run, of course I decided I’d go hard on upper body strength …. and proceeded to destroy my pectoral tendon! And on hearing that news, my physio warned me that if I came in with a hernia from focusing on my core, he wouldn’t be helping me!!) I eventually slowly started trotting again.
For the past 3 months I have swallowed my pride and my attitude of “if I can’t go out and run 10km without blinking, I’m not running at all”, I have been ever so slowly inching my way back to a running routine. I’m not looking at Strava, I’m not talking about running to anyone, I’m not sharing my plans, my running …. nada. But slowly I’ve increased from slow trotting for 3 mins, then 2 mins of walking for 3 km, 3 times a week to the point where I’m now running continuously (slowly) 5km, four times a week. It is ego destroying and I’m trying and learning to seperate myself from running. I run, I’m not a runner. Yet.
And so here we are. I’m carefully eating humble pie, on my own.
So, when someone close to you picks up running from a base of zero (hasn’t run since high school, twenty years ago) and within two weeks runs 12km, and then sets a goal of running a half marathon by April!! Running 21km with four months training from a baseline of FUCKING ZERO ….. something inside of me begins to rage and will not subside.
Do you know how long it took me to train and get to the point where I could run a half marathon? Fucking years.
And here lies the AND/OR conundrum. All I take out of this is that I suck. I’m old. I’m unfit. I’m fat and lazy. I have bad genes. And they are fucking amazing with perfect genes. They are successful at whatever they turn their hand too. And I am a big, fat, fucking failure.
I know it’s not an OR situation. They can be an awesome long distance runner with little training and natural aptitude AND I can also be a mediocre trotter.
But at the end of the day I am a small, mean, cold hearted, jealous bitch.

Very interesting https://www.dn.se/sport/sa-ska-framtidens-landslag-inte-bli-fransprunget-behover-byta-ut-lite-av-traningen/
This is not how the national team of the future should be formed: "Need to replace a bit of the training
Women's football of the future is expected to go faster and faster.
Now the Swedish Football Association is taking measures not to lose ground.
An ongoing study shows that young players may need to add more high-speed training to their everyday routine.
- It's about being able to keep up with developments internationally, so you don't stagnate, says researcher Helena Andersson.
Helena Andersson knows what she is talking about.
During ten years as an employee of the Swedish Football Association, she saw women's football develop at breakneck speed. When she left a post this year as the physio responsible for the women's national team for the university world, it was with a series of international championships on the merit list.
On Maundy Thursday, the Swedish Football Association presents a first partial summary of a project that has been ongoing since 2019.
Andersson, today a university lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation at Umeå University (majoring in sports medicine), together with the former national team player Sara Thunebro (operationally responsible from the confederation's side) has mapped the physical load of young female soccer players. Both in training and in matches.
It is about Swedish girls' national team players aged 15–18. In 2019–2021, data from 61 players has been collected using so-called GPS devices. Figures that have since been analyzed include how far the players ran (total distance), distance at high speed (here defined as over 15 kilometers per hour), acceleration and braking.
- Our conclusion is that we probably have to add more high-speed training, says Helena Andersson.
The total distance was, for obvious reasons, longer during a week's combined training than during the same week's match. But the players ran longer at high speed in a match than in a whole week of training.
None of the players in the study belong to the women's league but live in lower divisions.
- But the idea is that we (Swedish football) want to be able to keep up with the international pace, that we should be able to play international matches, says Andersson.
- We know that internationally it is important to cope with this high speed. Purely physical. That's why we wanted to do a survey.
She continues:
- Then it's also a bit about an injury perspective. If you get a handle on the load, you can work proactively to minimize the risk of damage.
A report from the international football association Fifa shows that the percentage of high-speed running has increased for every World Cup since 2011.
In the 2019 World Cup, where Sweden took bronze, England and the USA cleared the most meters at high speed of the four semi-final teams.
- Then you have to add that it doesn't mean that technically or tactically you are the best team, but now we are talking about the physical aspect, that you have to be strong, says Andersson.
The fact that the numbers for the girls' national team players look like they do in the ongoing study can have many reasons, Andersson believes. However, the high percentage of starts and stops in the GPS data from training testifies to a lot of so-called small team play.
- In the past, it has been said from the physical training side that small team games provide very good training, which is still true. But you would have to replace some of this training with exercises that challenge the high speed.
- But sometimes you can have too small a plan and some have very thin squads, and then you also don't have the opportunity to play bigger.
Do you mean that they don't have access to the whole field or that small team games are practiced by tradition?
- It is a combination, I would say. When we brought this up at a joint conference, someone said that "in our area, in the big city, we only have a half court for girls 15". Then you have to find other ways to get up to speed.
The young players who have been part of the project have already received tips to be able to take responsibility for their own training, for example adding certain exercises.
- It's about getting used to playing at this high speed, simply preparing the body. But you have to gradually increase, not just bang on, says Andersson.
When established men's clubs have invested heavily in their women's teams in Europe in recent years, the conditions for physical training have changed, she continues.
Suddenly, women's players have access to expertise in a completely different way.
Has Sweden fallen behind?
- No, I would not like to say that we have fallen behind, but perhaps rather that we are trying to be proactive, so that we do not begin to fall behind.
Are the numbers you came up with alarming?
- No I do not think so. There is really nothing to compare it to in this age category. But we know from the Fifa report that the percentage of high speed is very important.
If you turn it around, what are the risks of not rescheduling the training?
- The risk is then that the difference in load between training and match becomes greater and greater. And then you are not really physically prepared for match load.

A Supportive Companion for Kidney Health: My Experience with Kidney Solution Digital - Other Download Products
I've been using the "Kidney Solution Digital - Other Download Products" for a few months now, and I'm impressed with how it's become a valuable companion in my quest for optimal kidney health. While I can't speak for the core Kidney Solution Digital program itself, the additional downloadable products have provided a wealth of information and practical tools that I've found very beneficial.
Tumblr media
Informative and Accessible Resources
Firstly, what struck me most was the sheer variety of downloadable content available. There were recipe guides specifically designed for kidney health, which offered delicious and creative meal options that still adhered to important dietary recommendations. The guides were clear, concise, and easy to follow, making it simple to incorporate these kidney-friendly recipes into my weekly meal plans.
There were also downloadable information packs on various kidney conditions. These packs provided a great starting point for understanding different kidney issues, their causes, and potential treatment options. The information was presented in a clear and accessible way, avoiding overly technical jargon, making it easy to learn about these conditions without feeling overwhelmed.
Practical Tools for Daily Management
In addition to the informative resources, the "Other Download Products" included some handy tools to help me manage my daily routine in a way that supports my kidney health. There were downloadable trackers for monitoring things like water intake, blood pressure, and weight. Having these trackers readily available on my phone or computer made it incredibly easy to keep a record of these important health metrics.
There were also downloadable exercise routines specifically tailored for individuals with kidney concerns. These routines were designed to be gentle yet effective, and they provided clear instructions and modifications for different fitness levels. This was a great way to incorporate safe and appropriate exercise into my daily routine, knowing it wouldn't put undue strain on my kidneys.
A Holistic Approach to Kidney Wellness
Overall, I've found the "Kidney Solution Digital - Other Download Products" to be a comprehensive and well-rounded resource for anyone looking to support their kidney health. The program offers a holistic approach that combines informative resources with practical tools, empowering you to take an active role in your well-being. Whether you're looking for kidney-friendly recipes, educational materials, or helpful trackers, this program has something to offer.
It's important to note that this program should not be considered a replacement for professional medical advice. Always consult with your doctor before making any changes to your diet or exercise routine, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions. However, "Kidney Solution Digital - Other Download Products" can be a valuable companion on your journey towards optimal kidney health, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking additional support in this area.

(previous anon again) oh yeah asian sizing is rough x(. i haven't checked my waist size in literal years but it should be 40+ inches or even 50+, who knows. i mostly buy XXXL (or 3X, as it's called) IF it's offered, but whenever it is it's either always highly coveted or in limited quantities, and thus the first to sell out. some places have bigger sizing where i can get by on XXL/2X, some smaller where even 3X is not enough for me. buying clothes was such a trifle that for many years i just preferred to gradually steal from my dad's closet. thankfully he was a stingy old man and welcomed that!
about anemia- yep, i am an estrogen gas tank haver and i've long suspected i might have it, even though i've never gotten checked out (due to money, time, other illnesses, worry i'm gonna be told "just lose weight/exercise more," etc.). puberty really fucked me up... with ovarian cysts, menorrhagia, and just endless amounts of pain pain painnn starting from age 10. had 30+ days nonstop bleeding cycles a few times and other such fucked up stuff. in my early teens, my bed and the house bathroom could look like a horror game whenever i was menstruating lol. to this day, i am unable to detangle my dysphoria/gender identity from the pains of "growing into a woman" (which i never consented to). i don't know whether i would feel exactly the same about my gender if my experience with puberty wasn't quite so awful for medical reasons.
puberty also about when my fatigue started and gradually got worse over the years. as far as i and any relative can say, i was a very outgoing and energetic child. i couldn't read a lot of the social cues but was nonetheless considered a delight by adults who were entertained with my rambling about various topics as well as by fellow children who found a ready playmate in me. i ran and biked and gladly tagged along on long trips with my parents without a problem. meanwhile, as a teenager and even up to today i have a permanently fucked up rotating sleep, tiredness that never goes away and only gets worse with exercise, and a negative amount of energy such that daily commute to my job is the maximum my body can take and i hardly leave my bed on the weekends.
chronic fatigue is a consideration as well, and even though i know there's technically no cure for it, i still hope there's something better for me. for example, during the quarantine, i got to work from home and not only saved all the money i spent on transport but also time spent commuting and pretending to be busy in the office (with air conditioning uncomfortably cold at 17C). i had time and flexibility in my sleep to keep on top of chores at my own pace, and overall felt probably the biggest increase in my quality of life, even though i was basically a shut-in with a job, haha. just... longing to live slow and unburdened, while also still providing for myself, y'know?
For anemia, if there's somewhere around where you can donate blood, try checking there. A hemoglobin count of less than 12 is anemic (and they'll likely turn you away if you're too low) - it's the simplest blood test out there, like blood sugar they only need a finger prick these days to check. I have to get mine done every time I get my man juice tests done.
Your puberty horror story also genuinely sounds like PCOS which... fat gain and retention is a known symptom (and PCOS people are way more likely to be gender variant according to a Japanese study a few years ago). You might be able to sell your doctors on getting you tested for it if you play the "this might be why I'm fat" angle. What you're looking for is an elevated testosterone level in comparison to "normal" cis women.
As someone who routinely sleeps on the clock at my work from home job i feel you on the last one.

Successful people read books - reading as the key to success
Tumblr media
Successful people read books and not just a little, Elon Musk for example, reads more than 60 books a month, Warren Buffett recommends reading 500 pages a day, and Bill Gates has a ritual of reading books every night. It is one of the secrets of success and habits of many entrepreneurs to integrate reading into their daily routine. I also started devouring books when I was 17. At that time my laptop was broken and I had only my favorite book so far the diary of Ellen Rimbauer. It was pretty boring without a laptop and I thought about what I would like to do and so the local library came to my mind, where I borrowed books about the Titanic first. So I started reading 10-20 pages every evening and have kept it up to this day, browsing books every evening. How do busy people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffet manage to read a lot? They all read a lot and, above all, regularly. In addition, many successful people have mastered the technique of speed reading. They can absorb a lot of information while reading and they take notes on what they read. This is also my tip, create a notebook for each topic and work with colors.
Successful people read a lot
Billionaires like Elon Musk and Warren Buffet read several hours a day. Steve Jobs has read books on technology his entire life and Bill Gates has a ritual of reading reference books and biographies before bed. On average, successful people read more than 50 books a year. When Elon Musk was asked where he got his knowledge of rocket technology, he replied I read a lot. His reading didn't just include technical books, however, but also novels such as Lord of the Rings, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Benjamin Franklin - An American Life, among others.   Take notes while reading and work with several notebooks in parallel.
  What is the 5-hour rule?
A rule that is over 300 years old comes from Benjamin Franklin. It simply states that you should devote 1 hour per day to reading and continuing your education. For those who don't know, Benjamin Franklin was a co-founder of the United States. Billionaires like Bill Gates and Elon Musk adhere to this rule. Even Warren Buffett is said to read up to six hours a day. That's extreme, of course, and many people often don't find the time or the inclination to do so in their daily lives. It's enough to set a small goal for yourself when reading. You don't have to be Bill Gates or Elon Musk to benefit from this strategy. The important thing is to plan exactly what you want to read, set goals, and put together a reading list.
What are the benefits of reading?
1. reading trains our brain and motivates it to perform at its best With a good book we train our soft skills and communication. Reading can even strengthen empathy and help us to empathize with the other person.
2. reading gives you new ideas
And reading gives you new ideas and makes you creative. When I read a good book, I'm usually bursting with ideas for new blog articles or videos. That's how I got the idea to write my own book, that's also how I got inspired for my first novel.
3. reading can enrich your life
Under According to a study by Yale University even prolong. According to this study, the lifespan of people who read a lot is 17% longer. Reading gives you the great advantage of expanding your knowledge and educating yourself in any field. For example, you can also improve your lifestyle through health books.
4. reading reduces stress
Reading stimulates the imagination and exercises the power of imagination. Under the right conditions, reading can reduce stress and be relaxing. However, I have found that reading too much can make you lose interest or, in the worst case, make you not want to read at all. And of course it depends on what you read, a horror novel or a book about esotericism is probably less relaxing than a romance novel. A technical book is of course more exhausting to read than fiction.
5. the best investment in your own education
By reading guidebooks and non-fiction books, you can educate yourself cheaply and easily. Thus, the investment in books is one of the best ever. You invest in yourself and your continuing education. This is not only useful for your soft skills, but can also be good for your career. In addition, you promote your general education and learn to understand the world better. Especially through biographies and novels you can better put yourself in the shoes of others. And of course you have so also interesting conversation material and show that you something. The knowledge can also help you to have interesting conversation material in small talk.   My tip: use audiobooks apps like Bookbeats My tip for those who don't like to read, take a closer look at the app Audible and Bookbeats. Especially Bookbeat offers you the possibility to choose from a variety of audiobooks and listen to them for free. For €9.99 per month, you can enjoy audiobooks from all subject areas. I think this is a great addition to books, but I still remain loyal to the books. Of course, you can still order classic audio books on Amazon and listen to them via MP3 and CD player. It's definitely entertaining and something different than a TV evening.   Summary - Successful people read books Successful people read books and acquire much of their knowledge through books. Reading educates, trains your imagination and can even help you relax. Investing in books is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. I love to educate myself through books, good novels are for entertainment of course and if you are not a bookworm, you should definitely try audiobooks. Successful people apply the 5 hour rule when reading, which simply states that they invest 1 hour in their education and reading and this can have a positive impact on your life too, try it out.   Follow me on Instagram Follow me on Twitter Follow me on LinkedIn Exclusive content only on Snapchat Subscribe to my newsletter Read the full article

how come they didnt once film paddy’s entire body in s10? in 6x03 upzek sex scene they show hailey taking off his shirt. in burzek sex scene they show kim taking off his shirt but not undershirt. they only film part of his body. in 6x09 they show hailey take off his shirt. in 6x03 morning scene they show adam get out of bed and film his entire body. even 6x06 they show adam walking around and kissing hailey completely shirtless and wearing only briefs. in 10x18 morning scene they didnt film his entire body when he get out of bed. not just s6. even s8. 8x15 they film his entire body. they show him shirtless and wearing briefs. but in 10x22 they show adam shirtless in bed but only film very little off his body. they film laroyce and jesse entire bodies too. jesse in 8x04, 8x11 and 9x09. and laroyce in 9x05. they film them completely shirtless or shirtless and wearing briefs. but not for paddy. not in s10. why? does paddy think he is fat now? has he become insecure about his body so he tell them not to film all of it? maybe he should have worked harder on his body. i know he said he tried but i dont think he did. it looks like he tried harder on his body for upzek scenes than he did for burzek 🙄 maybe he really doesnt care about burzek. maybe he didnt really want the burzek sex scenes. if he does care and doesnt hate burzek sex scenes hopefully we get more in s11 and paddy will really work hard this time to get rid of his dad bod and bring back his toned body so we can get scenes of adam completely shirtless and wearing only briefs! age is no excuse! laroyce and jesse are close in his age to him and if they can have toned bodies so can paddy! if men alot older than paddy can have toned bodies so can he! he need to get into shape again! he need hit the gym and start dieting! maybe give up smoking and the booze!
Ok first of all
What he does with his body/how he feels about his body is his business
And yeah, and that interview he Joked that he didn’t exactly get to do what he wanted to do with the old bod you know like he was laughing about it
Also, it’s not our place to judge his body. He can do whatever he wants with his own body and we should just be happy that we’re getting scenes like that I mean maybe he wasn’t comfortable maybe he and Marina are such good friends that it’s a little weird to film something that intimate . like it’s not all butterflies and rainbows like there’s a lot of technical stuff that goes into those kinds of scenes, so yeah, it might be a little awkward but I’m sure they had a lot of fun doing it and he loves Burzek so that has nothing to do with it.
And again, it’s not our place to say whether he should exercise or diet or give up smoking or booze like we don’t know what he eats we don’t know what he does in his daily routine. Maybe he didn’t have time to make it to the gym who the fuck cares . I really don’t. I loved those scenes and I was happy with them.

Diet
I am sharing my thoughts on what I think works well with respect to diet during weight loss. Please take a grain of salt as you consider my opinion, as this is me speaking from my own experience and research. (I used to be 105 kg, and I have come down to 84 kg) In my opinion, what you eat or your Diet plays the MOST important role when you want to lose weight or undergo any sort of body transformation. This is because your body follows a simple law of Energy Burnt vs Energy Input.
Energy Burnt can be defined as the energy or fuel that the body burns to move, do any physical actions and even to just live. This energy comes from food or from the fat stored in your body.
Energy Input is defined as the food that you consume during the day.
Diet can be broken down into the two main components: 1) Caloric Input vs Energy Burnt 2) Macros
This post will detail only about the first point.
Caloric Input vs Energy Burnt In my opinion, what you eat or your Diet plays the MOST important role when you want to lose weight or undergo any sort of body transformation. This is because your body follows a simple law of Energy Burnt vs Energy Input. Energy Input is defined as the food that you consume during the day. Energy Burnt can be defined as the energy or fuel that the body burns to move, do any physical actions and even to just live. This energy comes from food. Keep in mind, each kg of weight can be represented in calories. 1kg = 7,700 calories and 1lbs = 3,500 calories. When you work on your plan for your diet, the first thing you want to look into, is your Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR, which is basically the energy your body needs to survive. You can find multiple calculators online or formulate to calculate this, or use the link shared below. When your caloric input = BMR, then there is no change. However, when your caloric input < BMR, the body burns more calories from your body. Keep this up, and you start to lose weight. Once your body is in an overall deficit of 3500 calories over time, you lose 1 lbs. This is a simple way to explain how you lose weight. So now, we know that we need our caloric input < BMR to lose weight. But, by how much? What caloric input should you target? What is too less? Can i just eat nothing and starve? Well, before you think about starving and eating nothing, the first thing to do here is to calculate your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) or Active BMR. It basically estimates your true Energy Burned per day based on your activity. This will give you a better approximation of the caloric input you want to target. Link to calculate BMR, TDEE: https://tdeecalculator.net/
A good rule of thumb to select a consistent weight loss routine is to choose a caloric input that is 500 kcal less than your TDEE. If you generally choose too less, your body might start to resist through headaches and feeling too hungry, resulting in you binge-eating and thus detrimentally preventing you from your path of weight loss. However, if you are confident in your mindfulness to stay within your caloric input, AND if you are obese or overweight, you can go as far as 1000 kcal less than your TDEE. You can also go even less and attempt other weight loss techniques including Intermittent Fasting, although I can't speak to successfully having lost weight consistently on this. I will say one point though. If you eat too less, or don't eat your breakfast, you can possibly be lowering your metabolism. In simple terms, your metabolism is defined as your body's ability to convert food into energy. You want your body to have high metabolism so that you can burn more energy, so you can just eat right, and have your weight loss happen. If you lower your metabolism, you will have to eat even less or exercise more to make up for the lower amount of energy burned. Now that you have your Caloric Input number, all you need to do is ensure you are eating within your caloric input for the day and watch the magic happen. Technically you could argue that eating pizza or unhealthy junk food, as long as its within your caloric input, could also result in weight loss regardless as it follows the above rule.
HOWEVER, please keep in mind that its very difficult to estimate the right number of calories in junk food, especially, anything that you eat from a restaurant or made outside. Generally, estimate 1.5x the calories specified there, sometimes even double, as my experience suggests that these calories mentioned are simply not accurate or even close. Note: If you feel like you are FOLLOWING your caloric limit, while eating junk food occasionally, and yet you are not seeing great results in your weight loss, then do not worry. This is what happened to me as well. There is one more significant point to your diet, that will REALLY help you push through your weight loss which is more important than you realize, and that is your MACROS. Will be detailing this in the next post!

The theme of the year is "Restoration"
I had trouble sleeping last night. My brain was buzzing even well past midnight. Recently, I noticed that I get sleepy earlier in the evening. It didn't happen last night. I have no idea why it happened, but it was probably because of the things that were churning in my head.
Or just the energy drink I had to stay awake for New Year's!
I know it's been a few days, but still...
Well, whatever it was, I did eventually just fall asleep. I don't know what time it was, but it was probably from sheer exhaustion.
All that said, I really just wanted to get started on writing again...
So, here we are.
It's 2023!
Welcome to another start in my periodic quest to write every day!
Like I said in the title, the theme of the year is restoration.
The pandemic did all sorts of different things for all sorts of different people.
Taylor Swift was really productive and produced two albums in one year during this time. Made all of us look plenty lazy. Me, included.
Instead of being more productive, I got less productive. The pandemic restricted a lot of activity, most of them things that we took for granted and expected to simply be able to do every day without question or thought.
Now that I think about it, I couldn't adjust very well. It didn't help that I started a new job in 2021: a part-time instructor at a local uni.
That was when I got way less productive.
Well, technically, I was productive in the area of being an instructor, but not in the things I usually do.
Last year, 2022, the pandemic started waning for real. There's still cases today, of course, but it's not something we are not too alarmed about anymore. It's probably gonna stick with us forever now. Like regular coughs and colds. It's now another one of those diseases that we could possibly get just anytime.
So, hopefully, 2023 will be a good year for me to start try and get back to those old things.
This is where the restoration part comes in.
The first step was to find and use a tracking app. I found a habit tracker called Timecap. Seems decent, so I'm using that.
Here are a couple of things I am simply tracking:
Play I'm tracking this because, even without the recaps from my various apps and platforms, I know I played way less than I used to. Probably comes with the territory of having more work, but I want to change that.
Read Unfortunately, I also read way less last year. Goodreads says I only read 12 books last year. That's barely an average of one book a month. Definitely not a good look, especially with a record of 26 in 2021 and 43 in 2020. Yes, it's been a downhill ride. I hope to change that this year and finish well over 12 this time.
I'm tracking them so I can see how much time I'm spending on them. Or, how little.
A couple of things I am building:
Exercise Before the pandemic, I was cycling practically every day. The lockdowns and the quarantines did not do me a favor when it came to exercise. I ended up doing this way less until I couldn't anymore. I did have a period with the boxing app on my Switch, but I couldn't stick with it either. I want to try again. Although... I did not have a good start with this one today. I woke up to something terrible, so I couldn't get started. Probably just an excuse, but we'll see.
Learn Japanese Another one of those things that got disrupted. I had a really nice streak and it was going so well, until a period of disruption upset my progress. I've had to reset maybe twice now. I'm wondering now whether I should reset again, but that's another thing we'll see.
Write This one I seem to be having a good start on. I don't know how long it will last this time, but I hope longer. There's a routine change coming at the start of next week, though, so that's something that does not bode well for this. Still, gotta start somehow, right?
An aside... Like I always do when I want to start writing again, I got hung up for a good time on where to write. It's a good thing I already had something in mind: since we're talking about restoration I thought to use one of my old blogs. I had something in mind, but I was misremembering it. It didn't look like I thought it did. So, I spent some time looking at these old spaces. This old Tumblr blog is it this time. The last post is actually from January 2nd, 2022. It's not even an actual post, just a share from Instagram. The last real post is from August 23rd, 2019 - one of my sort of rants about Descendants 3. So, it's been over three years...
In another note, I also wanted to change the theme. I almost got stuck on that again, but I realized what I was doing, so I got to stop myself and just picked the top result: Tumblr Official.
No qualms, no thinking too hard. Any space will do, so just get on with it!
Now, I don't have a good record with these habit tracking things. I get tired of them after a while. The longest I've gone is probably just a couple of weeks. Hope it will be different this time.
Here's to 2023 🎉

Rewritten (II).
Hi friend! Welcome back to my channel. Just kidding, but it's been a while. Since June 2021. It is insane to me how much can happen in a year. Even 3 months. I would not imagine I would be where I am or have gone through the things that I have.
In June of 2021, my grandma passed away. I got to graduate (more-so walk, since I technically graduated in 2020). It was not how I imagined my graduation, but my life hardly ever goes the way I imagine it.
In July of 2021, I was sexually harassed in my place of work. I ended up getting a lot of anxiety from this. For the first time in my life, I got drunk. This was a new low for me. My pain was evident. I could no longer hide how I was feeling on the inside. To others, it may have been amusing but if you ask God, it definitely grieved the Spirit.
In August of 2021, I got into an argument with my little sister. Although it didn't ruin our relationship right away, this argument shook our foundation. I also got into a relationship, which thankfully I am no longer in because it was not healthy at all.
In September of 2021, I started going to the gym consistently. Learning to push past being too tired or feeling lazy has been rewarding. I could not picture myself ever saying this, but exercise really helps you feel better. I have learned to keep going and not give up no matter the pain.
In October of 2021, I got a new job. This was a miracle because I was already feeling uncomfortable at my job due to the person who harassed me. It was also a miracle because I got a job working remotely, which is something I have been praying about since 2018. The way God has graced me for this position is wild. I am so grateful.
In November of 2021, I hit a new level of rock bottom. I put myself in danger's way. I had completely isolated myself from everyone at this point. I ignored every conviction.
In December of 2021, another argument with my little sister led our relationship taking a toll. We didn't talk for months. I was blocked from her life completely. At first I was angry and bitter, but as time went by and things started changing in my life, those feelings went away. I am still praying and believing for complete restoration in our relationship.
In January of 2022, I got my dream dog. The journey with her has not been the easiest. I got her as a puppy, so I had to learn a lot with her along the way. I had to potty train her, teach her some obedience. I have had to learn discipline and routine. But I also almost had to give her up. There were arguments with my mom that my dog caused. This dog has somehow been used to test my patience and trust in God since having her.
In February of 2022, I turned 25. I hardly recognized myself anymore. Who I was at that time was not who I wanted to be. Where I was at the time was not where I should have been. Thank God I was still alive. Thank God He said He was not finished with me yet.
In March of 2022, there was a discontentment forming with my life. I owe everything to the Holy Spirit convicting me more and more. Whispering in my ear to come home. Soon enough it was hard to ignore that voice.
In April of 2022, I had the opportunity to travel to Morocco with my older sister. This trip impacted me in more than one way. I realized just how unsatisfied I was with everything in my life. How much I did not want my life to be my life. I did begin to feel a little depressed but I kept having to remind myself that God healed me from depression and suicidal thoughts.
In May of 2022, I made the decision to face all my worries and fears, and return home. I started attending church again. I fought my flesh so hard not to come home. I was so afraid that people would see me and see all the damage I had done to myself. That they would see me and see how messed up my home life was. They would see me and know all of my sins. Technically, you are reading a lot of them now. I am not ashamed of that because everything comes to the light eventually.
In June of 2022, I started getting connected and plugged back into church. I reconnected with a few friends. God was starting to remove everything that had kept me from Him. I also graduated from Bible College. Did I walk? No. Why? Because going up on stage scared the heck out of me. I was in the world and doing Bible college. Not very godly of me, right? I felt like a hypocrite. I was so filled with shame that I felt like I did not deserve to walk across that stage.
In July of 2022, my whole life completely shifted. I surrendered everything to God. I let go of a lot stuff, including that boyfriend I had. I was brought into complete repentance. My life did a 180. God was working overtime moving me out of isolation and what I thought was comfortable. He was pushing me towards obedience and complete surrender.
In August of 2022, my obedience and faith began to get tested with trial after trial. Earlier in July, I had to take a few tests health wise. August was about finding out those results and trusting God with them. I am believing I am healed the next time time I have to tested in 2023. This is something doctors do not have a cure for. I am trusting the One True Doctor to heal me.
In September of 2022, I found true contentment with my life. The trajectory of my life has completely changed and I cannot thank God enough. I began to write once again. I got a new opportunity at work, thank the Lord.
Here we are October of 2022, watching God do incredible miracles. My relationship with my little sister has drastically improved. I sought her forgiveness and have been able to work on mending our relationship. Things are getting a little hard health wise.So much that it wants to distract my mind. I am learning to take every thought captive. I went back to counseling, which I am grateful for. God has been showing me areas in my life that need Him and His healing power, so we’ve been doing some hard work here. But it has been good because He is good.
A tremendous amount of things have happened in my life. There are still 2 months left of 2022 and I still have about 3 months before I turn 26. I cannot wait to add to this later and see what else God has done. If there is anything I have learned is that the Lord  is so faithful and does not stop His pursuit of us. He is constantly calling us to greater. I know He is not done with me yet. He is not done with you yet. Heed His call, friend. You won't regret it.

Character Outline
tagged: stole it from myself (again) ! tagging: i support theft, this time largely because I don’t know who has/hasn’t done this one
ORIGINS & FAMILY
Full Name:  Simon Antonia Romero-Martín
Date of Birth:  15 June
Age: mid-late twenties
Social Class: oh. uh, like.. lower? I’ve just realized I’ve removed them from a support system they were developing and this has resulted in that they may technically be homeless, help. Picks up odd jobs and brief stints in minimum wage places to sustain themself.
Parents: Íngrid Romero-Herrera & Berto Martín-Cortez (deceased)
Siblings: Calista Romero-Martín, older sister; Joaquín Romero-Martín, younger brother
PHYSICAL & APPEARANCE
Height:  5′2″
Weight: no; their build is full & curvy, on the plumper side of average
Distinguishing Features: Tiny, squishy, but can still kick ass. There’s a dimple on their left cheek that will absolutely ruin your life (because it’s just very cute.)
Hair Color: Auburn
Eye Color: Medium brown
What do they consider their best feature?: Smile? I don’t know that they give it that much thought really.
Style of dress/typical outfit(s): Casual and outdoorsy, bohemian, with lots of knit and blue jeans and a mixture of pants and skirts. Got a thing for customizing their clothes by painting on or embroidering them. I could keep trying to describe it or you could just go look [here]
Jewelry? Tattoos? Piercings?: Jewelry! Tattoos! Piercings! Simon really likes and collects vintage(/vintage inspired) rings and bracelets. They do also have an interesting assortment of necklaces and anklets. There is a tattoo thingy (here.) Their ears are only pierced the one time, but beyond this they also have a double navel piercing (top and bottom). Just ‘cause.
Do they work out/exercise?: Some yoga gets worked into their not-a-routine fairly regularly, but other than that no
BELIEF & INTELLECT
Level of Self Esteem: Pretty good, pretty high. Broadly comfortable and secure in their identity, appearance, etc.
Known Languages: Spanish, English
Gifts/Talents: I have just been informed they can wiggle their ears. This is news to me but there you go.
How do they deal with stress?: Stress-baking, 100%. The problem will be more conquerable once the (cookies/bread/pie/muffins/etc.) are done and have been eaten/shared.
What do they do when upset?: Run.
Do they believe in happy endings?: They would......................... like to.
How do they feel about asking for help?: No particularly strong feelings, really? Some things they wouldn’t ask for help with, but that’s more to do with the fact those things are secrets than any objection to being helped.
Optimist or Pessimist: Uh. Good question.
Extrovert or Introvert: I think ultimately an introvert, but with a high level of sociability before burnout.
Leader or Follower: Loner
Makes decisions based mostly on emotions, or on logic?: Bit of both?
Spontaneous or Planner: Spontaneous!
Thinker or Doer: I think a bit more of a thinker? They’re not afraid to try things, good god will they just try things, but there are times when they get caught in that thought-feedback loop and also my goodness do they spent a lot of time theorizing and testing things in a very mad-scientist-esque way (but like. with recipes and potions, not mass destruction. But they very much mix things no person should mix.)
Organized or Messy: Organized. There’s a flow to it, a sort of rustic and organic nature to the layout and feel, so it never seems sterile or perfectly curated, but there are places for things and things go in their places. It wouldn’t do to start letting potions or potion materials overlap or get mixed up or cross contaminate each other, now would it? Then we’d all be sorry.
Worrier or Carefree: Well they don’t have anxiety, anyway. A lot of guilt and some concerns about where they’re going and who/what they’re becoming, but honestly if not for the whole werewolf thing they’d be much more relaxed.
Artistic?: Somewhat! Most of their artistic expression is focused on the joy of the process, though, so while there’s definitely an arty ~vibe~ they’re not like, studying figures or planning to do deep dives on the complexities of contemporary art or anything. Simon paints (and etc.) for fun, and because the process of the art is engaging and rewarding. The final product isn’t really the major concern. If it looks cool, awesome! If not, well, they had fun anyway.
Mathematical?: Absolutely not
SEX & INTIMACY
Current marital/relationship/sexual status: Single. but they’re protesting because their most developed version was in a ship they were very happy about so there’s also that.
Sexual orientation (is it something they question or a secret): Pansexual, with just a little bit of a lean for feminine people admittedly. Simon was very lucky to have grown up in a very encouraging climate: they were very free to explore their sexuality and never really faced it being potentially “othering” until after they left home. They still don’t really question it, but it has become more of a open secret sort of situation. They don’t go out of their way to deny or conceal their sexuality (or gender identity) but don’t wave it around either.
Views on sex (one night stands, promiscuity, etc): Have fun, be safe, hit anyone who tries to pressure you ♥
Ever been in love?: A couple of times. It’s a tender subject.
Do they fall in love easily?: Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnno? There is. I mean this one thing happened sort of fast but it definitely was not love at first it was Fun at first but it escalated and that still happened? A little fast I think??? But not. instantly. I dunno man.
Do they desire marriage and/or children in their future?: Proverbially they made eye contact with me and went  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Marriage is neither here nor there. They do...like children. And raising them isn’t like...... off the table? But there is. A lot of grey area and many questions in the situation of conceiving that I’m not sure they’d be totally comfortable with. Regardless, they’d what to be in a more stable financial situation before considering it. Simon doesn’t mind sleeping in public places on occasion or skipping a meal here and there but would not put a child in that situation.
Thoughts on public displays of affection?: A menace. Not likely to be explicitly inappropriate in public spaces but very much going to tease about it.
How do they show affection/love to their partner?: A menace; Simon is very biased toward love bites and leaving marks, often in very intentionally visible locations. (They’re a little bit.............. I was going to say “jealous” but I think “territorial” is funnier.) They’re also very physical in general, and want to both give and soak up as much attention and touch as possible. They also like to banter and flirt, even in established relationships, as a way of expressing continued interest and attraction.
RELATIONSHIPS
Social Habits (popular, loner, some close friends, makes friends and then quickly drops them): A loner, really, but in such a warm and oddly charming way that a lot of people tend to miss the way that wow Simon knows so much about everyone and treats them all with such friendliness and is so fondly regarded and yet...no one could really tell you much about them, where they come from, what their family is like, etc. Every now and then they make a strong bond, but mostly they keep to themself in this fashion.
How do they treat others (politely, rudely, keep at distance, etc)?: As said, warm and friendly and honestly a little bit flirty. They also tend to come across as odd if not on first impression than soon after. All of this, though, while still keeping people at a distance. Bigots and hateful people are going to catch some serious sass and, if they’re being particularly unpleasant, maybe some hands.
Argue or avoid conflict?: Situational. In the past Simon has been known to question things and stir up trouble, and generally won’t idly accept or tolerate hate speech or cruel behavior. They also, however, have run from several large conflicts in their life rather than stick them out and see them resolved.
SECRETS
Dreams: oof. Don’t worry about it.
Greatest Fears: The full moon really just hits different, now; the thought of being caught off guard, of causing harm to people, scares Simon to bits.
Biggest Regret: [Redacted]
What they most want  to change about their current life?: Everything to do with getting bitten, probably.
LIKES & DISLIKES
Hobbies: Embroidery(+possibly crochet?), cooking and baking, gardening & herbology, painting, exploring, hiking, some mild zoology/animal care, and some astrology interest
Indoors or Outdoors?: Outdoors
Favorite Color: Yellow! but specifically like...... goldenrod yellow. Fall leave yellow. Warm toned and deep and rich. Lemonade yellow just isn’t it ok.
Favorite Smell: maybe just. Soil? Like, potting soil. Middle of the forest dirt. Earthy smells.
Favorite and least favorite food: Too many favorites do not ask. (Though....maybe partial to mushrooms?) Not a big fan of bacon, believe it or not.
Coffee or Tea?: Coffee but in the most cursed way imaginable.
Favorite type of weather: Immediately post-rain, when everything is alive and nourished and, yes, wet and splashable.
Favorite form of entertainment: Movies, I think. Movies are silly and fun and good for spending quality time with people.
How do they feel about traveling?: Home is behind, the world ahead!
What sort of gifts do they like?: Bring them the weird shiny thing that may or may not be a rock that you found on your walk. A flower that is considered a weed. A tin ring you got out of a quarter machine. A pack of stickers that seemed very them.
DRUGS & ALCOHOL
Thoughts on drugs and alcohol: Considerably something of a Hippie-type. Interpret that how you will.
Do they smoke? If so, do they want to quit?: Cigarettes, no. It’s like.... verse dependent and version-of-Simon-in-question dependent but definitely they dabble in weed. They bake with it more than smoke it, but do both.
Have they ever tried other drug? (which, what happened, consequences): There may have been a notable shroom escapade. Don’t worry about it. (No really, don’t worry, nothing bad happened, they had a lovely and absolutely bananas time. 7/10 might do again.)
Do they have any addictions?: Nah.
OTHER DETAILS
Most important/defining event in life to date: It just keeps coming back to the Bite doesn’t it?
Daily routine: Absolutely Not
Typical Saturday night: Doing something alone, usually! Simon likes to cook and to explore, etc., by themself. Sometimes they go out on their own to something like dinner or a movie. In a way I would describe as regular but not frequent they will seek out hookups. (This. this is not exclusive to Saturdays but. Y’know. Weekend vibes.)
What is home like (messy, neat, sparse): They may in fact be homeless at this juncture. When they do have somewhere to land, though, Simon tends toward the neater side of things, and given time will accumulate a lot of knick knacks and textiles to decorate with. The natural vibes apply, though in a deliberate way.
Pets? if not, do they want any?: Cielo and Fontaine are both snails of a small variety native to North America I never actually thought to look up but the general notion is that Simon found Cielo by chance and thinks the snail is/has good luck and grew quite attached to the little guy. Research showed snails prefer company, thus: Fontaine. And this resulted in Simon carrying snails with them on their travels. All of this is completely normal behavior I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Can they hold their breath for a long time?: I mean. Probably just average?
Do they know how to swim?: Yep
Can they cook (if so, how well and do they enjoy it)?: They CAN they are SO GOOD at it and they REALLY LIKE TO please let them cook for you but also please cook with them!!!!!!

How should i listen to singing success 360
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if you’re ever experiencing a sore throat, please rest your voice! Return to singing when you feel healthy.
Consider using an app like SingSharp (android + iPhone), PerfectPitch (iPhone only), or a karaoke app like Smule (android + iPhone), to analyze your pitch accuracy as you sing a song.įor beginners especially: pay attention to how your voice feels! If you’re experiencing vocal fatigue, cut back on your vocal use and incorporate more listening into your routine as you build stamina.
See how close you get with a chromatic tuner.
Train your ears: to start out, use a virtual keyboard to get a reference pitch and try to match that pitch.
Listen to music from different genres: there’s something to learn (and hopefully something to like) in every style of music! It can be especially instructive to listen to the artists your favorite singers have cited as their influences and see if you can hear similarities.
Look for live performances (no lip syncing!) and take note of their posture, mouth shape, vowels, etc.
Active listening + analysis: listen to your favorite singers to analyze their style and technique.
If you have more time and want to keep practicing, here are a few ideas: If you want more practice on that specific skill, feel free to repeat the exercises within that video. Once you’re warmed up, you can follow along with a new lesson video. You can find a variety of warm-up routines on our warm-up page! Day 2 of the 30-day beginner course also contains a complete, gentle warmup you can use daily. It’s okay if you don’t always follow this format, but your warmup (and singing in general) will be easier if you start with gentle, closed exercises (including lip trills, MM, NN, singing through a straw, etc). You want to gradually open up to syllables that start with a consonant (like MUH or NO), and end by singing on open vowels. A complete warmup/exercise routine can be about 10-15 minutes and should start with easy, gentle exercises like lip trills, humming, or singing on an NG. Most importantly: get into the habit of exercising your voice every day. We like to save more challenging exercises, like those with long sustained notes or belting, for the end of our warmup/exercise routine. Our main goals with any warmup are: balancing your vocal folds so they come together properly, gradually stretching out the vocal folds, and navigating between your different vocal registers. If you’re singing later in the day, and you’ve already been speaking a lot, your voice is technically “warm”, but it hasn’t been prepared to sing. If you want to get technical, you’re “warming up” your voice if you haven’t done much speaking that day. We use those terms interchangeably! Any vocalization can be used to both “warm up” and “exercise” your voice. What’s the difference between a warmup and a vocal exercise?

While some tutorials have warmups built in, most lessons within the beginner courses (as well as some tutorials) do not. And when your voice is prepared - with blood flow to those muscles, vocal folds lined up properly and gently stretched out - you’ll have an easier time practicing the skills and new exercises within the lesson! Why do you recommend warming up before completing a lesson? In reality, the 30-day course could be completed over a longer period, especially if you want more time to become really comfortable with each skill before progressing to the next.Īt the end of the course, you will have learned all about your voice and you’ll have the tools to continue growing your skills. Why just one lesson? Because each lesson introduces a new concept or skill, and we want to allow enough time for you to practice that new skill before moving on to the next lesson. The 30-day beginner courses were designed with 1 lesson per day in mind. How many lessons should I complete per day? We’ve got answers to all of those questions to set you up for success! Many new students ask: how many lessons am I supposed to complete per day? What if I want to watch more than one lesson? How much time should I spend practicing? What should my practice routine look like? If you’re new to our site, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here and we’re excited for you to learn with us. One lesson per day? How to practice for the best results Here's a blog post on how to structure your daily practice. Hi, David! If the lesson doesn't have a warmup built in, then yes!
