so as you can see i’m very normal about the life smp, i like it a very normal amount and i am definitely not emotionally attached to it

on my ask: oh nah, that happens cuz i close my ask box randomly and without announcement these days because sometimes i get overwhelmed by getting too many asks and that can trigger my brain issues, sorry abt that huhu

on pokemon: OHHHHHHHH this is gonna be a tad difficult because i didnt watch much pokemon growing up (i was a digimon kid) but....

i feel as if....artem watched it. luke played it. marius read it. and vyn has no idea what a pokemon is.

hes the most classic and i think of the watchable pokemon medias, he'd actually like the movies much more than the shows. since, in contrast to the show's longform episodic nature, the pokemon movies have a tighter plot that artem, even as a child, appreciated much more.

i cant say more than that because i havent watched much of the show and have only watched one (1) of the animated movies.

that being said i also think artem liked Detective Pikachu. he would die for the bulbasaurs in that movie.

luke played it

luke has played every single pokemon game ever. the mainline games, the spinoff games, the old ones, the new ones, ALL OF EM. hes the resident gamer boi and his creds hold up here

i like to think the first pokemon game luke played was actually the original pokemon yellow on a gameboy color that he got from a retro antique store (it was definitely among the first things that inspired him to also open an antique store)

as in, he read the pokemon special manga. why? because i read the pokemon special manga and im bestowing this honor upon him JHVSJKHFSD

BUT ALSO I JUST THINK HE'D REALLY ENJOY THE STORY. the manga is so dear to me and i think marius in particular would really enjoy ruby (because ruby is a campy bi bitch of a dude and marius vibes with that so much) and also the diamond & pearl arc because the whole premise of platinum, rich girl extraordinaire, being sent off with two fake bodyguards diamond & pearl...well i just think marius would love the hijinks in that arc a lot HAHA

vyn has no idea what a pokemon is

he didnt know how trading cards worked in SR Eternal Whisper, so this could totally happen. like, idk, pokemon didnt get a svartish dub so it never got imported there JKHVSDKJFHS

top 5 favorite hermit bases? to draw and/or just in general!

OOH THATS INTERESTING

1) hermitopia. absolutely 100%. i do think the individual bases are interesting in that they better showcase individual styles, but theres something about hermitopia thats so charming. just a huge mess of farms and different build styles put together in a few weeks. also of course theres grumbot, and i loooove when buildings are alive <3

2) the monstrosity. this one's a bit funny cause its honestly one of my least favorite bases to draw (or at least the most difficult). i think ive said it before but with most bases you at least have some point of reference it's trying to resemble (a real-life architecture style, a fantasy style, or even just a real-life material) but with the monstrosity thats just not really the case. its just redstone functionality + colour theory so it kinda ends up as a completely new style thats just. minecraft. i guess. i dont really know how to explain it i hope you kinda know what i mean. its beautiful and im obsessed with it but drawing it is SO difficult

3) pearls season 9 base. it always kinda reminds me of Nausicaä of the valley of the wind which is my favorite ghibli movie and one of my fav movies in general tbh. also pearls colour schemes are insane and i dont know how she makes these combos work but i need to study it forever. i really wanna draw this base again

4) bdubs s9 tnt shop. i dont really know what to say here except LOOK at this build. im a huge fan of industrial buildings and bdubs is very good at those

5) toon towers. this one's just very fun <3 i love the bright colours and i love when a build is strongly stylized. i havent watched as much of tangos s7 tbh, i really gotta do that at some point

ok i know dual destinies highkey kinda sucks in a creative variety of ways but you *have* to play spirit of justice if you haven’t yet because it’s Actually Kind Of An Apollo Game This Time not as much as AA4 but it’s still so much more apollo. and he gets a third backstory that slots in with the other two.

and. it is just very good and apollo has a bigger family and even more parental issues than you think he does and oughhhhh.

dual destinies is worth finishing purely for spirit of justice, in my opinion. ema is back and maya is back and we get to see pearl more and you literally get to convict a god-queen for murder as apollo. apollo goes off the shits and almost dies several times. it’s great.

also it means you get to read one of my friend’s awesome fics where apollo goes even further off the shits and gets trauma

THIS IS VERY INTERESTING TO ME bc ive usually heard it the other way around... as in i should play DD for athena and simon and not worry as much about SOJ... this is a new perspective to me

the plans always been to eventually play both (<- buying the probably horribly expensive port trilogy bc im an apollohead w no principles) but i think what's put me off of SOJ is like. idk the idea of getting more time playing as apollo is great & i like the idea of him having more of a family but you play as him in DD and it felt weird bc he felt kinda ooc & i'd prefer if they expanded on the family he... already has? i want more of him and trucy i want an expansion on his relationship with his mother i want the Reveal yknow. also from so much of what ive seen from the game + what ive seen ppl say about the game i'm really not looking forward to slogging through a ton of xenophobia lol... though apollo convicting a god-queen is such an intriguing sentence uve got me there (another thing im a lil hesitant about is raising the stakes too high idk if i'll like that but i will see... how it's handled...)

THAT BEING SAID I OBVIOUSLY DONT. wanna be too harsh on ppl who genuinely love the game & enjoy it's characters so i do wanna give it a shot. all of my problems with SOJ are real problems but at the end of the day i havent played the dang thing so who knows. also i love nahyuta's design. ALSO YEAH MAYA COMEBACK.... MY POOKIE MY SWEETPEA.

(side note. i have already read a couple of post-SOJ fics bc im silly. and i like reading about apollo doing anything. and i got tired of tiptoeing through the klapollo ao3 tag lol)

something i wish people highlighted more wtih bigb is how utterly disloyal he is! constantly, underlying all of his actions, he is disloyal!

that got a lot of attention in last life with cleo, his day one ally. yeah he didnt want to turn against her... but he did. he was willing to sacrifice her for his own gain, and it was VERY satisfying when she got him out.

but this has persisted in every season, which i havent seen anyone point out! double life? oh he loves being soulmates with ren, but when grian comes along... they're having secret meetings in the moonlight and trading baked goods. ren's heartbroken when he finds out, buuut it gets swept under the rug when they turn red, buuuuuut bigb and gri are still meeting. red-b doesn't lay a finger on not-red-gri, and it is so ironic that grian was the one to get him out.

limited life- god, limlife was my favorite season. the NOSY. NEIGHBORS. surprise thats what this post is really about. pearl and bigb's relationship is so, so so, so so so so so good.

when cleo tells pearl not to trust bigb, that if he's boogey he would betray pearl in a second? HE WOULD. his first loyalty is to himself, and he openly states when pearlizzy gets boogeyman that he wouldn't tell pearl if he was. (though, in pearl's commentary... if pearl really had the reins, she might not have told him, either?) he isn't entirely loyal. he doesn't say he would kill her, but, yknow.

which makes it so fascinating that his partner is pearl of all people, because she is constantly, fiercely loyal, in past seasons and in this one. jimmy tells bigb to see judge judy alone, and pearl insists the nosy neighbors come as a pair, and secretly follows them to make sure b's ok. pearl tells bigb to take the 30 minutes for the trap she's making because she wants him to win. pearl does everything she can for b.

and bigb likes her, of course. pearlizzy says "and my best friend..." and bigb follows with "is me!" but while bigb never ended up betraying pearl, but he almost did. episode 7, grian and joel invite him into the bad boys to replace jimmy, which he instantly accepts but asks them not to tell pearl. if they asked pearl, she'd reject them in a heartbeat, i can already hear her "i'm not leaving my buddy"! bigb, though, didn't even try to invite pearl to the bread boys! the reason this never turned into a big scandal like past seasons was because... well, joel was on death's door, and grian thought it best to just become a new nosy neighbor. bigb didn't get a big moment out of this, and you know how end-of-season alliances get crazy! this was short, and people forgot! but ohoho i didn't. (<-lying)

secret life? oh lord. he was alone and lying til the heart foundation picked him up, and he lies there too! he keeps banning people from the foundation and claiming that skizz and tango said to, and he does this for no reason. he works with martyn in episode 7 for like two minutes, and then both of them stab each other in the back. when bigb scott and cleo are hiding from the boogeys, bigb... tries to give them away? for some reason?

though, also... his task was to help red lives one session, which got skizz hurt by tim. but... when his task was complete, he protected skizz! bigb stabbed tim which scared him off when he was chasing skizz!! skizz thought that he stabbed tim himself, and bigb didn't correct him, so i assume neither of them noticed, but like he did. he was loyal here. given past trends i am so excited to see where secret life ends. will bigb break the cycle or continue the prophecy?!

"wait" i hear you say, "what about 3l?" i havent seen bigb's 3l.

conclusion: WATCH BIGBST4TZ2. nobody is doing it like him and one day i will make a full propaganda post. "but you insulted him so much" I WANT TO STUDY HIM UNDER A MICROSCOPE OK he does wrong things and it fascinates me and it can fascinate you too. thank you goodnight

Scar asking Grian to go and take Mumbo? Chef's kiss. So good, hit right in the feels

Pearl asking if he's safe and then shenanigans?? I love. Pearl is great

The way you wrote Grian kinda dissociating while doing CPR after finding out it was Mumbo the whole time as a way to focus on the cpr instead of thinking about Mumbo being there the entire time and then being grounded when Scar comes and helps was amazing. Accurate to a response in an emergency scenario and also a really cool way to reveal that Morris is Mumbo to Grian.

Oh my gosh sorry i didnt see this earlier!! Im so happy you enjoyed the new chapter i was still so nervous as i posted it but everyones been so incredibly nice and encouraging.

Scar… oh gosh scar. Scar’s self-sacrificial side was showing a bit strongly, hmmm? Between him and mumbo, Scar knew Grian would kill him personally if he asked to be saved first and later found out Morris was mumbo, (worse even, if that decision had gotten Mumbo got more hurt or…). So he practically begged grian to take mumbo, the more important of the two to grian (at least… in his mind, who knows the real truth abt that). he said his last “i love you’s” and let them leave, content to be left in the smoke. Maybe he even thought it was poetic, since his first meeting with Grian was also in a bombed out building.

Pearl is so lovely. I’m hoping to develop her voice more as we go on, because I think whether she’s in a scene or not, she’s Grian’s biggest ally and supporter and vice versa. Family is as important, if not more important than romantic love in this fic, even if its not the focus :) (just a subtle little fact in the background, yknow?)

AAAAA!! Very happy you liked that!! Grian’s dissociation and struggling to center himself, contrasted with his very natural inclination to be a Hero and Help, was very fun to balance. Kinda a subtle “person vs role” situation. Scar being there definitely helped both of them, but probably not in the /exact/ way we expect. I cant wait until Scar’s power gets revealed!! (Not that i know how right now… been so excited abt this particular chapter and some upcoming fluff that i uh, havent planned it out yet. Im sure ill figure it out)

trials & tribulations thoughts

the recency of tgwdlm meant i was thinking about this song throughout the whole game. anyways

i finished the game earlier this afternoon and wow that was a ride!! i did a short post after jfa but since i took a year-long gap between cases 3 & 4 of that game my memory wasn’t as fresh and i didnt necessarily have as much to say, so this time i’ll put it under a cut and keep it a bit more... organized?

basically this case fuckin slaps. easily the strongest opening case so far, having it be a flashback is a good excuse for a tutorial case without... yknow... whatever that amnesia nonsense in jfa was. mia is awesome, college phoenix is adorable, dahlia... is dahlia. i knew going in that she was Not A Good Person so i’m glad they got that out right off the bat so it wasn’t like a huge spoiler lmao

also, it’s a classic ace attorney two-in-one case! those are always fun. anyways, this one was pretty straightforward, i felt like i was usually a few steps ahead of the game in putting the case together, but not so far that it was frustrating

the stolen turnabout

right so i’m just gonna put this out there: i love ron and desiree delite. they’re valid as fuck. ok thanks

this one genuinely threw me for a loop cause i went “whoa, a non-murder case??” and then, no just kidding, it’s a murder! but the way the two cases (the theft and the murder) played off each other, the double jeopardy rule, using one crime as an alibi for the other, all that was really neat

sidenote: i called godot’s identity pretty much immediately, and i think i might have been influenced by some spoilers i’d seen in the past, but it was a long time ago and i don’t remember exactly what i saw? it’s hard to say. but between the coffee thing and the “i’ve returned from the depths of hell” bit i was onto him real fast

recipe for turnabout

okay. this case felt like the one real weak spot in this game tbh? i didn’t hate it but i had some... problems. here’s some stuff i really liked, to start:

the whole phony phoenix wright confusion

computer virus stuff

the way the murder reenactment kinda cracks the whole case open (the way phoenix reached that conclusion maybe not so much, but w/e)

bluffing at the end

anyways. parts of this case were kinda? exhausting? victor kudo’s testimony kinda just seemed to drag on and lead nowhere for a long time until it’s ruled inconclusive... only for phoenix to suddenly go ‘actually, he was telling the truth, and he saw a fake version of the murder!’ which is interesting in and of itself, but it felt like a weird roundabout way to get there and i wasn’t following all the leaps of logic.

i wasn’t really all that into the maggey/gumshoe subplot either, like, it was fine, but it didn’t feel entirely necessary to me? whatever i guess

also armstrong being the effeminate gay man making everyone uncomfortable and that being played for humor was... not great.

turnabout beginnings

i felt uneasy for a lot of this case, knowing it ended badly somehow... and boy it sure did.

still, cool seeing young edgeworth (and how he was... taking after von karma. hm). also i have to wonder how that diego reveal plays if you’re not expecting it

as for the case itself... tbh there were a lot of points i got kinda tripped up on, i felt like you were using certain pieces of evidence a LOT? but it was interesting. anyways on to the big one

bridge to the turnabout

holy shit yall i have emotions

i absolutely loved how this brought together basically every major character and plot thread - the fey clan, DL-6, dahlia, diego armando, franziska’s return, just. fucking. everything. it’s all connected

some things i knew going in b/c spoilers (maya channeling dahlia), some things i just guessed early on (elise = misty), some things i had no fucking clue about (basically everything w/r/t iris, her family situation, godot being the killer), but regardless it was a hell of a ride. this track being everywhere was nice too

list in no particular order because there’s so much i wanna gush about:

dumbass phoenix rushing to save maya and falling in the fucking river. what did you think would happen? seriously though, i love their friendship and i, too, would cross a burning bridge for maya fey

PLAYING AS EDGEWORTH! it was a neat change of pace, and seeing him get a taste of things from phoenix’s side was nice. also his reaction to the psyche-locks

franziska von karma babey!!!!! thats my wife

search ~ core 2002 being all over the trial because i’m not over the first time i heard that in justice for all

my narumitsu ass was living for this entire case honestly. working together!! miles’s concern for phoenix after The Bridge Incident!! phoenix being worried about him after the earthquake!! phoenix knowing he felt awful for letting iris slip away and being reluctant to bring it up in court! “i leave the rest in your capable hands... partner” IM THRIVING

godot’s ringtone

first day of trial being prosecutor v prosecutor and the second being defense attorney v defense attorney. idk how intentional that was. but it was neat

i have mixed feelings on him as, like, a person, but godot is an interesting character, and i figured he had to tie into it somehow but it completely slipped my mind that he could be the killer until maya’s testimony. so that was fun

everyone roasting larry’s sketch. the court record describing it as “horrible”

i love maya fey so much yall. i just wanna wrap her up in a blanket and give her some hot cocoa. she deserves the world. i may or may not have teared up a bit when she finally recovered and started her testimony and just looked. so drained after everything. that’s my girl

i think i’m done but long story short i loved this case and just about everyone in it. edgeworth and maya in particular just fuckin reached through the screen and latched the fuck on to my heart. good case

also... i’m still kinda sorting out my thoughts on iris? i liked her for sure, she was interesting, but there’s, like, a lot to unpack with her relationship with dahlia and phoenix and it’s. it’s a lot.

I might have said this before, but I love the idea of a Prince!Shigaraki fic. Like.... he doesn't have a fiance because no noble/royal ladies wanna marry him, they think he's ugly or weird or just don't like him. And those who will marry him are just after the money/power. But reader is a low noble who is secretly in love with him. She doesn't know much about him, it was like a love at first sight thing, but she does find him attractive and is sad that nobody will marry him, even though she wants to but they'd never ask her because she's of too low status.

I can picture a ball going on, and its filled with people, but Shiggy is slouching on the throne, head resting on his hand, cause he has nothing to do because nobody likes him (not like there's a reason for him to like them either), but in the corner or the hall is reader, half turned away from him, nibbling from a plate of food while looking over at Shiggy every 5 seconds cause she wants to admire him but also doesn't wanna get caught.

The rumors about Prince Shigaraki have always spread like wildfire.

They say that he is cruel, cunning, dangerous; an absolute military prodigy, putting even the most decorated of veterans to shame and scaring even more of his maids.

They also say thats he’s ineligible for marriage, not that his adoptive father, the king, hasn’t tried to find him a suitor, just that every princess who has ever been sent to him refused his hand and went home crying about red eyes and an even worse mouth.

However, in these rumors, in the twisted pieces of truth and bitter anger you would sometimes get wind of, no one bothered to tell you that he was handsome.

You admire him. From afar, of course, such galas as this one often too hectic and dizzying to bother with approaching anyone, mere shows of status and wealth in grand ballrooms that are big and polished, with loud-colored curtains that hang too tall and too thick...

But still, his silver hair blinds you, and so does the white gold trim of his pressed black suit, polished buttons leading up his torso and shiny chains blending easily into thread.

Prince Shigaraki slouches on his throne, his father long gone to drunkenly schmooze with his other, fellow monarchs, curling in on himself against the plush padding of his seat, tapping his fingers against his knee rhythmically as he rests his eyes from the sight of the crowd.

You find you cannot stop your heart from skipping breathless beats whenever you catch the flickering of his carmine eyes as they open and close in boredom, almost as if the grand party wasn’t being held in his name.

Almost as if you weren’t here for a reason.

You decide you need some fresh air.

The moon hangs heavy in the sky, bright light spilling over everything it touches; the lake to the north shines a creamy white, and from your view on one of the many castle balconies, all of the green in the garden shimmers with dew.

Your dress glitters in the nighttime, the pink and blue opalescent pearls like stars on the silk and mesh that’s pillowed on your hips, falling to the floor in gentle waves that sway with the breeze.

The castle is rather lonely, you regard, heels clicking on the stone platform of the terrance. Rather quite far from town and incredibly large, with grounds that stretch for acres and acres. Even the inside, decorated with paintings and statuettes and silver trim, is cold and lonely when not brightened with lively chatter and dancing, every wooden door barricaded along the staircases you climbed to get here, secretly, unannounced, as if to escape a party you should be grateful you were even invited to.

Not that you’re really interested in a suitor, your royal (albeit barely) family still insisted they send you in the hopes that someone, anyone, suitable for marriage were to catch your eye.

The rough sound of someone’s voice and polished outsoles hitting stone breaks your train of thought.

“You left the party.”

With the cold wind whistling in your ears, you feel his burning gaze on you before you see him, and you don’t have to turn to know that the prince’s eyes have found you and begun to linger on your body, on your dress, on the way you lean into the cool marble in front of you as you stare off into the vast and beautiful kingdom before you.

“Your highness,” you greet in return, kindly, his footsteps finally slowing to a halt.

Prince Shigaraki only snorts, rolling his neck as he settles at your side, running his fingers over the marble barrier of the terrace, and inspecting the garden with equally unimpressed enthusiasm as you turn your head to stare at him.

Dressed in that perfect black, the double-breasted suit layers his form with chic prowess under the dark night sky.

“Where are you from?” his rough voice strains, no preamble to the question as he continues to inspect you like a hawk.

Blinking your long lashes owlishly, you shrug, naming your kingdom with a gentle flick of the tongue, your lips just barely curling when the prince’s brow pinches and his eyes narrow.

“Here to make a mockery of me, I assume,” he spits, albeit strangely gentle, the words laced with venom and history you’re not aware of. Eyes flitting back to your hands, one palm enclosed tightly around the fingers of your other hand, you shake your head.

“Your kingdom is just so big,” you mumble, distant, thoughtlessly. “Pretty.”

Shigaraki scoffs again, leaning into your space as he dips his head to choke on a slight laugh.

“Pretty never got anyone anything.”

Knowingly, you nod, letting his words echo into complete silence, unable to summon anything close to offense or anger...

“You must be lonely,” you finally breathe, after a long stretch of silence, and Prince Shigaraki stills before turning his body to face you and stare at you with his perfect, ruby eyes.

In him, you do not see the boy from the rumors; the vicious, unlovable tyrant, enough so to be turned away by so many women. You do not see a temperamental fiend, consumed by anger and guilt and shame.

No, instead… you see a prince. Willful and determined to be strong, powerful, and loyal... regardless of the loss he has experienced.

“No one will have me,” the prince’s twisted expression falls, his eyes sinking back into sadness, and you find a sense of compassion toward his hatred.

He reaches reaches out, slowly, flicking at the tiny, diamond-encrusted tiara on your head, before dragging his finger down a lock of your hair, the soft curl bouncing as it settles back into place after being pulled loose from your bun.

He presses his chapped lips together tightly, though his expression is anything but angry, with eyes dipped in some far off, melancholy thought.

You finally smile at him, gently, moving to grab at the fingers by your hair so you can smooth over the skin of his creased knuckles, and you can’t help but laugh, eyes wide and sweet and understanding.

“I’ll marry you, Tomura.”

Betraying his anger at the many years of lonesome solitude he experienced, Prince Shigaraki’s heart flutters; glass wings beating fiercely in his chest at the sound of your voice, so kind and honest, speaking the few simple words he has never allowed himself to dream of hearing.

Still holding his fingers in your palm, you bring the back of his hand to your chest, pressing his knuckles into where your own heart hammers against your bosom.

For once in his life, the prince stays silent... swallowing his doubt, candle eyes flicker under the silver moonlight, and he nods.

he also joins edgeworth in the investigations games because gumshoe pretty edgey is his friend too!!!

-he isnt ALWAYS with nick/edgeworth, sometimes hes off doing his own thing and runs into them (IE running his weenie stand in turnabout goodbyes and playing the steel samurai in turnabout ablaze

-hes completely absent from recipe for turnabout bc hes off becoming Laurice

-gumshoe was his bi awakening. the crush started after the rescue in Turnabout Samurai and has grown when you see him again in Turnabout Goodbyes

-the most adhd ass mf youll ever meet. same with gumshoe, maya and phoenix they all have adhd cause i said so

‘So... the weather?’

This is a little AU piece that was requested! The prompt: Hey could you do a one shot where harry and famous reader are in a talk show and he has a crush on her. Maybe he accidentally hurts her while playing a game and he feels awful about it orrr maybe the host put a video where harry says that the reader is his crush and he gets nervous and embarrassed.

Promoting a movie was all but glamourous. It was a constant string of 14 hour days, 5am wake up calls and repetitive questions about working with this person or that person with very little time spent discussing the actual plot of the film. The savior of press tours was any interview where you werent alone, whether it was a joint interview with cast mates or a full couch talk show.

You’d been on the Late Late Show once in the past and you had to be honest, it was so much fun. Your first appearance included a 7 minute long musical medley involving fifteen quick changes and you very nearly faceplanting the floor.

By this point you were sitting in the dressing room, your hair being tugged one way or another by David your hairdresser, with your make up artist Cam working his magic on your noticabley exhausted face. “Who am I on with tonight Maggie?” you ask your manager, realising no one had actually told you. Maggie looked up from her laptop, a smirk on her lips. “James told me not to tell you so you’ll have to wait!” she said smugly. You rolled your eyes, “Of course he said that, that man has to stop trying to set me up”. James was a good friend, the two of you having met a number of times through industry parties award shows. He’d always try and find the mosyty eligible bachelor in the room and push you towards them just to shit you. Suffice to say none of them worked out.

Once your hair and makeup were done and you were dressed in a cute but entirely impractical and kind of uncortable outfit, a crew member came to get you and walk you down to the stage. “Ok so once we get to the stage, you’ll hear James announce your name, walk down the steps through the audience, wave or high five whatever you feel like. Then greet James and take a seat, then he’ll then announce the next guest”. You nodded along politely, already knowing the drill. “By chance, do you know who the other guest is?” you say shooting Maggie a smug look. “Yeah its Harry Styles” with that your heart skipped a beat, you’d always found him attractive and incredibly charming which is something you had stupidly mentioned to James once or twice. “That bastard” you say under your breath, you didnt have much time to think about it though because not even 30 seconds later you rounded a corner and there he was.

He was a gorgeous as ever, wearing what you could only assume with a gucci knitted jumper with a delicate lacy collared shirt beneath it, his signature pearls hanging perfectly around his neck, and a pair of cream flared pants. The outfit was quintessentially Harry. He was chatting to another random crew member who seemed to be giving him the same speech. You could hear James wrapping up whatever he was talking about, you were too distracted to follow it, you couldnt look away from the man 8 feet away from you. “You good?” Maggie says, pulls you from your bewildered state, Maggie’s words also caught the attention of Harry who finally looked in your direction.

Harry’s eyes landed on you and unbeknownst to you he was just as taken by the sight of you. Realising his gaze was lingering, Harry snapped himself out of it “Hey i’m Harry, nice to meet you” he said, taking a few steps towards you, his hand awkwardly out for a hand shake, something Harry was already kicking himself for doing. You took his ring clad hand in yours briefly “Hey I’m-” before you could finish you could hear James announce your name, you let out a laugh “that’s my queue”. It was probably a good thing that James has inadvertently introduced you, who knows whether you could have actually remebered your own name in that moment.

You descend the stairs, meeting James at the bottom with a friendly hug before taking your place on the couch. “Can you also put your hands together for the incredible Harry Styles!” James proclaims, the audience erupting once more, you watch Harry interact with the audience effortlessly as he makes his way down the stairs, having a bromance moment with James before he plops down next to you, sitting closer than you had expected him to. “So have you guys met before?” James says, knowing full well the answer is “No we haven’t, we met briefly backstage” Harry says. He couldnt stop thinking about how awkward he’d made the initial encounter but he couldnt help it.

Throughout the interview it was all too clear that sparks were flying bewteen the two of you. Harry had talked about his new music, you’d talked about your new film, an anecdote or two thrown in from the both of you. all was going smoothly until about 15 minutes in when James began to look very smug. “Now Harry, I know you two hadn’t met before but from what I hear you have quite the crush huh?” Harry’s cheek went bright red knowing exactly what was about to happen. You on the other hand had zero idea what was going on. “And how would you know that James?” Harry says trying to pretend he has no clue what James was referring to. “Funny you should ask my friend, this clip might just answer that for you!”

Your eyes darted to the nearest screen as the clip rolled, it was an interview from the press tour of the movie Harry had been in last year. The interviewer had asked the cast who they’d love to work with on future projects and to your surprise, Harry’s pick was you. The interviewer then asked why you were his choice, Harry’s response was “she’s just so talented, every time I watch her in something I’m just profoundly captivated. Her on screen presence is incredible.” One of his castmates laughed, playfully poking Harry in the shoulder adding "If it wasn’t already obvious he’s got quite the crush! He made us watch like 4 of her films during our set downtime” before the clip ended.

Harry dramtically buried his head in his hands out of sheer embarrassment as the audience let out a series of ‘oooohs’ and whistles and James burst out laughing. You let out an laugh as you awkwardly fiddled with your fingers, not entirely sure what you were menat to say or do in that moment. "Well then Harold, go on, ask her out. Nows your chance!” James goaded. Harry was utterly mortified but wasnt the least bit surprised. “So... the weather?” the audience laughed at Harry’s miserable attempt at changing the subject. “Alright alright i’l drop it but you can’t say I didnt try! Just remember this moment when you get married ok?” James said, throwing his hands up in defeat as he got in one last playful jab.

The rest of the interview went awkwardly by, although you were a little distracted. Did he really have a crush on you? How could he have a crush on you? You’re the one who had the crush on him, surely he didn’t feel the same? James wrapped up the interview and once the cameras had cut both you and Harry made your way backstage.

“Well that was sufficiently awkward and I apologise for how uncomfortable I’m sure that made you. I’m honestly gonna fucking kill James for that” Harry said, you could only giggle in response. “He has no idea what’s coming the next time we catch up. In all fairness, despite how uncomfortable that whole ordeal was, it was lovely to meet you” the two of you smiled at each other. “It was lovely meeting you too Harry, no need to apologise, I bloody knew he was up to something. anyway, I have to head back to my dressing room, I’ll see you around” you say before starting to walk away. You only make it a few steps before Harry stops you “Hey wait! What are you doing this afternoon? This was my last interview for the day and I was gonna head from here to get some food. Wanna come along?” You pause for a moment to think about what the rest your day looked like before smiling back at him “Well, I had planned to go home and eat some left over chinese in front of a film... but I like your idea better. Swing by my dressing room on your way out?” Harry could conseal his happiness with your response, a giddy grin now plastered on his face “It’s a date, but we have to make a deal that neither of us tell James ok? You know how smug he’d be. Deal?” Harry said with a wink, reaching his hand out to seal the deal. You laughed as you shook his hand once more, this time a little less awkard than the first encounter. “My lips are sealed. Now you better not take too long, I’m starving!” you say as you walk away with a smirk and as they say, the rest was history.

kaiju shifter au; godzilla and the other kaijus can shift into humans

Since no one is writing it, i’m going to lol

There’s got to be a time when i can map out some pseudoarchaeology about an ancient race of shifters, who can shift back and forth from being human to predators

Like, the group of modern humans, the ones who can’t shift, is due to some group of people who decided to move away from hollow earth and eventually found their way up to the surface (see founder effect)

While the rest of the shifters in hollow earth do not see the point of shifting back, and are now incapable of shifting back to human form; that or some shifter was born unable to become human and reproductive fitness is higher when one is a kaiju (being in human form is more dangerous and is not being selected for after generations)

Anyway after years and years of evolution, we are in the monsterverse

And godzilla and the other kaijus have re-discovered, or rather, independently evolved being able to shift back into humans

Godzilla would be so handsome im gonna cry lmao

Imagine you’re just some villager living by the ocean, so connected to it that you already knew how to swim long before you could talk

And one day you see these huge spikes far far away, almost to the horizon

Not scared at all, you decided to go out for a swim anyway--you didn’t approach it--but you didn’t get out of the water either

So you’re there, just floating away, enjoying the sound of the waves crashing, the saltiness of the water, the heat of the sun

And later this dude just bumped into you out of nowhere

“...” you didnt freak out, just looked at him

“Hi” you say

He stares back and says hi back

And that’s how you met Gojira

He hadnt expected you to just gesture towards the shore, where you see your parents outside your cottage, preparing your lunch

“Let’s go, it’s almost lunchtime”

Gojira, almost hesitantly, asks you what you eat--poor guy doesn’t know what these...humans? (that’s what they are right? Tiny, puny humans)...eat

He only eats food he finds in the waters

You just shrugged “i dunno, fish maybe? We’ve been trying to find female crabs recently, but to no luck”

Gojira just nods as he processed what you said, thankfully you guys were eating the same things he does

He said “you can go on ahead, i’ll catch up” and dives into the water underneath you

Confused but hungry, you took his word for it and swam to the shore, letting your parents know that you met this guy called gojira, he said he’ll catch up

Your parents are a little wary, they dont know anyone with that name, but they were also unbelievably kind and generous

And it didnt hurt when gojira emerged from the sea a couple of minutes later, carrying an armful of crabs

Female crabs! You took some from gojira, trying not to get pinched by the crabs’ big claws

You all had an awesome lunch! And your parents are really amused by this gojira kid you met, just a quiet kid who really enjoys cooked crab meat

He has never eaten cooked crab meat before, it was one of the best things he’s ever tasted!

After lunch you asked gojira to come with you back into the waters, this time you wanted to get hunt for some pearls maybe or even just clean out the ocean a little

You see lots of plastics being drifted deep into the waters, and you hated it

When you were so far away from the shore, in open waters, he shifted back into a kaiju! You were shocked at first but then fascination became the more dominant feeling

You touch his big face, scaly! And you go for long swims!

When you get tired you just get on top of gojira’s back, or even on top of his head, and he just breaches the water so you can breathe!

gojira he comes by from time to time! He always brings food and your parents love him for it!

You become really close to him, becoming best friends!

Until maybe like one day, you see these people, foreigners, come to your little village by the sea

You didnt know they were there until you saw your parents’ waving at you from the shore, gesturing for you to come ashore

You do and they introduce you to this group of scientists

They said they came here because there have been eyewitness accounts of a giant “marine organism”

And based on their radiological maps, there has been a huge surge of radiation in this area

When you approached the scientists, the thing on their hands started beeping rapidly

They all looked at you confused

Asking you why you were radioactive? And you shrugged, you said you’re fine, you havent been exposed to any radioactive materials

“Except gojira, i think” you said

And the scientists lost their freakin marbles

Like what??? You talk to godzilla?? Gojira??

And you were lke yea? We go out for a swim almost everyday!

That’s how dr serizawa and monarch came to find a villager who has a bond with gojira

A radioactive human under the kaiju’s protection

uhhh great question my anon ss!!!!! let's dive in (you'll come to realise that i love a good character heavy ep jsfkhfk-)

1. the sign of the uninvited guest (s1ep14)

so my very vey fav nd episode has to be the one where they figure out the poison was meant for ryan..... i remember watching that and losing my fucking mind simply because we got to move and work with the characters as their pilot selves but now with the attachments we feel to them and their development when they figure out the mystery.... PLUS the technical/production aspect was also SO SO strong this ep - the cinematography moving with each character and everyone putting everything into place was SO satisfying idk if it's just me.... i go back and comfort watch it all the time <3 also didnt realise that this ep has the nace library scene in it till i went over the sypnosis just now (cause i havent watched it back in a while) and im losing my mind this is deffo my favourite one.... the way i didnt even realise and its at the top of my list makes me so------ im whipped for this ship..... also subconsciously

2. the drowned woman (s2ep05)

everything about this episode.... from the fight scene to everyone breaking down to the french and bringing out odette to george's death to drew crew becoming the drew crew to nancy compromising her objectivity/rationality as a detective to save george's life bc she's found family in the drew crew.... even if she'd dealing with insecurities that she's a burden to the group/generally trouble im so soft ajkakjfakf

3. the mark of the poisoner's pearl (s1ep10)

first signs of the drew crew rlly rlly gelling, nancy kind of easing from feeling like a burden, solid character building with her friends showing up for her and being insistent on it. every single soft look ace throws nancy throughout this ep..... nancy meeting thom afjfj- im so soft... such a strong ep overall

4. the spell of the burning bride (s2ep10)

nancy drew is a comedy show and what about it <3 (also the nace hair scene makes me FERAL)

5. the trail of the missing witness (s2ep12)

nace nace nace 'nough said <3

honorable mentions:

- the echo of lost tears (s2ep18)

- the whisper box (s1ep13)

- literally every s3 ep so far!!!! so good <3

- the haunting of nancy drew (s1ep16; the opening scene when everyone loses their fucking shit and try to hide the bones with heavy pop punk metal playing in the background as tamura and the cops pull up to the claw will always be one of the HIGHLIGHTS of this show for me - it is so god damn funny and so well shot and executed it's AMAZING and lives in my mind rent free)
