sorry if this is a dumb question, but do we know who DC editorial are? like since we have queer writers and queer artists, do you think we could get queer editorials? the occasional pushback towards LGBT rep makes me think everyone among the editorial staff is cishet. it wouldn’t surprise me if they purposefully didn’t hire queer people as editorial knowing what would happen to some of their popular characters if they did lol 💀
Not a dumb question!
I just wanna clarify something tho- when we say ‘editorial’ we are referring to ‘the editors at DC’ or possibly within specific hero families since they get grouped like that. Like, ‘editorial’ isn’t a single position, but ‘editor’ (or more specifically assistant editor, associate editor, senior editor, etc and some more variations) is.
It’s not the sort of thing where there’s just one list of all current editors at dc that’s super easy to find (at least not that i’ve come across) but all ya gotta do is open a DC book and whoever edited it (and whoever their group editor is if there is one, and probably an assistant editor alongside the main one) will be listed on the credits!
Tumblr media
And there are several editors at DC who are, in fact, queer. Andrea Shea (Andrea is like the driving force behind DC Pride), Jessica Chen, Chris Conroy, and Amedeo Turturro to name a few that I can recall off the top of my head!

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) Review
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) Review
The Tenenbaums are a rather dysfunctional family with the three gifted siblings having the potential to go on to achieve great success as they did in youth but not being able to transfer that into adulthood. The return of Royal their father after many years is about to cause chaos for the family, each dealing with their own problems and failure.

There’s obviously something wrong with him. He’s taken off his shoes and one of his socks and actually, I think he’s crying.
