husk and rosie were originally friends before rosie nd alastor became friends, and they were walking together in cannibal town on the day that vox fell. when they noticed the newly fallen sinner, husk decided to take him in originally as a means of promotion for his casino (not that he didnt already have techheads, but a full crt television? not many of those were walking around hell)

vox was kind of distrustful of husk at first, but one day, he malfunctioned while on the job and when he woke up, he found himself inside one of the casino's private rooms with a blanket draped over him and a glass of water on the table next to the couch. to vox, who had seen the kind of shit that other overlords do to their workers when they stop being useful, this was something that made him start to trust husk more

though a lot of people thought otherwise, husk never actually contracted vox for his soul. it had been a passing curiosity at first, he had only meant to pick up the naive sinner for fun and would have passed him off to someone else once he stopped being entertaining- but somewhere along the way, husk started to see the kid as something more than a mere form of entertainment

they used to bond at the bar after closing, where husk would teach vox how to play card games and bartend and such. to this very day the only person who can beat vox in card games is husk

husk gifted vox most of his early wardrobe. after husk lost his overlord status and vox rose to his own, he still wore all the clothes that husk gave him

against popular opinion, voxs suit isnt actually supposed to resemble alastor's- he actually referenced it from husk's overlord suit. whenever someone remarks on him looking like alastor (assuming they havent made up yet) he fries them and tells the press that actually, its modelled after a *far* better and more powerful overlord than the radio demon

after they meet again vox gifts husk several electronic devices where they can talk through

he sends husk a bunch of indecipherable memes and stupid quotes that the other vees say

husk has them saved and sometimes bursts out laughing in the middle of nowhere when he thinks about voxs memes

vox used to create a lot of inventions and floor plans for husks casino. not all of them went through the initial planning stages but husk put up all his drafts on the walls (like in the way a parent would put up their kids silly little scribbles up on the fridge)

vox and husk are very competitive when it comes to table games. the hazbin gang once had a game night where they played monopoly and husk and vox ended up yelling so loud at each other vox short circuited half of pentagram citys electricity and husk ended up dive bombing his kid (they had to explain to the others that it was just playfighting before angel and alastor started joining in on the attack)

husk has a secret sweet tooth. this is the reason why vox knows how to bake but not how to cook

back when vox was newly fallen he used to have nightmares. when husk and him got closer, husk used to cradle the other to sleep in his wings

vox used to call husk vati (affectionate nickname for father in german) and husk used to call him kotyonok (<- phonetic spelling of kitten in russian)

they do still do it sometimes but its less now bc everyone around them makes it awkward

also sometimes husk used to take vox flying when he got too "pent up" over work and such

nowadays, vox takes husk through data streams sometimes when al's being too hard on the bartender

I have to talk abt this as this has been in my mind for months and this i think is the only safe space to talk abt the fandom and their weird antics towards the characters/actors and overall games.Im not against criticism but theres a line between criticizing and going overboard with hating.

One thing i dont understand abt the god of war fandom is that they complain about alot of things not being “accurate” and thats doesnt make sense to me bc when has gow ever been accurate? I thought it was obvious from the beginning that SMS wasnt going for that and never truly will. Its always their own interpretation. They also have this weird hatred / ignorance towards atreus that i also dont understand? Yea he was a little annoying in the first game but thats understandable as hes… a kid. Ragnarok expanded his character pretty well imo and i feel like alot of these people for some reason cannot get past him in general? Maybe because they are afraid of him taking over the series and “forgetting” kratos (idk why thats in their minds LOL) or they just hate him just because. I feel like the fandom wants kratos to forever be this god who destroys things and whatnot and its all so weird. like they never gave him a chance. thankfully he has fans but majority hates him. Dont even get me started on how they treat angrboda. Its really so ridiculous to me that they can be so hateful for no true reason. they call her a bitch for yelling at atreus when all the women in the game get annoyed or disappointed in him atleast once. And they dont understand that she has only known this prophecy shit for her whole life and she couldnt do anything outside bc of the threat. ofc shes angry bro LOLL its also in her name like i dont understand 😭.  Atreus helps her get out of that mindset and assures her she can do whatever she wants now. Laya is so strong idk how she does it :( I also noticed they treat thrud as this “replacement” of angrboda bc they dont like her either cuz shes black or bc they hate her and everything related to atreus but as long as he has a character they can like thats not angrboda its fine. Its all so weird bc theres no competition between the two. There never was. I dont think they actually like thrud for her character they just want to be weirdos and i feel kinda bad for her and mina bc they really dont give a fuck. Im so shocked chris sunny and others even INTERACT with this bullshit of a fandom they are all really strong bc id say fuck all of you and go 😭 im not against criticism at all and i try not to take this shit seriously but its hard when you see a insane group of people take alot of this shit to the next level. this fandom is a bunch of whiny babies who hold onto their precious destroyer too much. Ultrakill is a fast paced first person shooter that gives the war machine you play as a reason to be the coolest thing around while killing everything in its path. It's also an evil and twisted game because it has a stupid high skill ceiling and fucking stupid challenges but it has silly little secrets and a banger ost so it cancels that out.

ultrakill is about you the player wrecking hell as v1, a robot who's only goal is to find fuel. which in this case, is blood. and it HAS to be fresh, u cant cheat by draining some poor bloke thats been killed already you NEEEED it newly milked from the flesh. You wreck hell's shit so bad they have to send the archangel gabriel down to stop you. you beat the shit out of him. I want him dead. u beat the shit of him a second time later on and he has a gay awakening. unimportant. i still want him dead. u also beat a bunch of other blokes like your evil shadow skull self and whatever creatures hell throws at u so you keep running deeper into hell (the game splits hell into layers so we have 8 available (technically 7 since one is like the intro). we dont know why other than v1 just wants blood. idk what theyre cooking. theres a fishing minigame and visual novel in it. also the witness.

Anyway if u couldnt tell the game takes some serious christian-media influences (divine comedy, devil may cry) and also has stuff from greek mythos bcs you have the ferryman and king minos and the minotaur. the worldbuilding theyve done for the game is crazy good i dont wanna say much bcs its fun to go around in game and discover things. the game is still in early access so we have to wait and see what comes next. it doesnt even have steam achievies yet.....

except the door is locked. its either soonyoung or mingyu's fault, maybe even both. you kinda just try to yell at them to let you out, but it doesnt work. so u and jun kinda just sit down and recount... literally everything that the others have been doing while missing the obvious the entire time. the fact that jun will come into your room at night to talk and cuddle (which soonyoung straight up walked in on once, didnt blink an eye because its legit so normal for the two of you to cuddle even though jun had just barely pulled away from sneaking a little kiss in time), or the way that the two of you hold hands not-so-subtly.

(literally wonwoo + jihoon + minghao have all noticed by now. wonwoo and jihoon literally told y'all about the plan. you figure you can get free dinner out of mingyu for this shit and jun's on board w the idea)

honestly the two of u would just straight up stage a fight until mingyu opens the door, way more concerned than before, until it ends with you and jun kinda just laughing and stealing a kiss and the two of u just being like 'we've been dating for months u dumb dumbs' and soonyoung being like WAIT SO YOU TWO WERE KISSING THAT DAY??? and suddenly u feel like the two of u are one of few adults in the room as the boys lose their collective minds over how the two of you have kept this secret

and then you literally give mingyu and the rest of the ones involved w this plan shit for not letting you and jun tell them naturally. it absolutely ends with a drunk mingyu on his knees, begging you to forgive him. good news tho! you have meals for the next week (mingyu), and are now owed favors by the rest of them. you'll decide what you want when you want it.

thoughts on groose 🎤

GDOOSE YEAH UEHA GROOSS MY FIRNEND GOROSOOSS !!!! takes the microphone and eats it. i love groose oh my god !!!! character of all time. hes set up at a one note bully character to act as the antagonist for the tutorial levels when everything is, like, low stakes and part of the player getting used to things, and once the plot kicks in you kind of Forget about it, yk? he was just a bully and he served his purpose in the narrative bc now we arent dealing with stakes as low as "my loftwing is gone! and the prom wing ceremony is tomorrowww!!!" we're dealing with centuries long prophecy and zelda being gone and the fate of the world blah blah blah.

and then the best scene in the series happens and its like no! nope! sorry bud but we r making this guy plot relevant!!!!! and then they made it the best thing theyve ever done.

groose starts out being actively antagonistic towards link and weirdly objectifying of zelda and its like okay. ok. you have seen this character a billion times you know what this is and where this is going. zelda falls from skyloft and groose is so devastated he stays in his room up until The Scene happens, and when you talk to him a few things are abundanty clear; he blames link for what happened, he desperately misses zelda (but believes shes alive), and he thinks he can do... something. hes not sure what, but If Anyone Is Going To Save Zelda, Its Going To Be Groose. bc hes just some kid! he doesnt know about the fuckinf. implications of hylia and demise and destiny n all that all he knows is the little shit he hates won a ceremony which allowed him to go flying with zelda, and now zeldas gone and maybe it wouldnt have happened if HE had won instead-- if HED been there for her instead of link. and then hes the only character to be like Hey. Why is link gone all the time. Whats up with the massive pillars of light in the cloud barrier and why does link keep going into them. so he figures out link is up to something and hes like fuck that i want in!!!! and he follows. and he rightfully freaks the fuck out abt the surface lmao that scene specifically is excellent.

and sksw links interactions with him are so... interesting? like hes obviously sort of annoyed with him at times (or even angry when it comes to groose stealing his bird :[ ) but every scene i see him in hes either just like :o :/ :I or hes, like, genuinely amused or happy. and hes overwhelmingly understanding towards him or seems to just be like "uhh. ok" when groose is trying to instigate something. like he just doesnt care and when he does he seems to genuinely want to be nice to groose. and groose spends the first bits of the game thinking link is like. everything wrong with the world lmao. which is funny bc his hatred towards link is primarily fueled by 1. jealously about zelda (which. ill get to how he treats zelda.) and 2. this like? general anger about how well links life is going despite the fact he doesnt, like... try in life, at that things are going well for him regardless. and link just doesnt rlly care and still finds reason to be kind to him at times (which is so funny when u pay attention to sksw links character. that guy will lie and say some random concerned persons friend died for the comedy of it but will offer understanding to his fuckinf high school bully. what is wrong with him im obsessed!!!). and then hes told that, for one, zelda is part of something WAAAAY bigger than him, and that link is literally sacrificing everything to save her as was ordained centuries before he was born and hes like. omg. fuck that. this guy?? are u KIDDING. and it takes him watching link fight the imprisoned for him to be like ok. i think ive been an asshole. youve got this shit link im sorry.

so he stays behind and he helps the old lady in the temple take care of herself and keeps her company, and he starts tinkering with machines and he finds a purpose down there. and that purpose isnt "find zelda to spite link' its "help link find zelda." and that weird objectifying crush he has on zelda transforms into a genuine care for her safety more than anything else, to the point i cant even rlly decipher if he still thinks he loves her or if he knows whats best for her, and for him, and for link in the end and hes just content seeing her happy-- whatever it is that brings that. in ghirahims final battle, he catches zelda as shes dying and yells at link to finish this for them all, and that he'll make sure zeldas safe, and you can TELL its bc he wants her to be okay and wants link to be okay and not bc hes like. oh yeah smooching time or whatever HE GROWS !!!!! HE MATURES SO MUCH IN THIS STORY AND BECOMES A MUCH KINDER MORE GENUINE PERSON AND ITS SO ?????!!!! also he gets a cannon called the groosenator and its genuinely vital to fighting the imprisoned later on iirc. HE HAS A ROLE TO PLAY IN THIS SHIT JUST LIKE HE WANTED! JUST LIKE HE CAME DOWN HERE FOR!!!!!! ITS JUST UNDER MUCH MORE NOBLE CIRCUMSTANCES THAN HE ORIGINALLY INTENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ik this is contentious theory with a lot of holes but i like the idea that groose got wrapped up in demise's curse, but less for like. trying to consolidate this games stupid lore and more for the thematic implications of it. bc thats, like... essentially admitting he played such a massive part in helping link and zelda that even fucking DEMISE had to admit he did and had to make sure he paid for seeing through with his death. groose, the character who was told to sit back and let the hero deal with it bc hes not a part of hylias plan, who said "no, im doing *something* here, even if its only to help," had a GOD admit he was crucial to his death as much as the chosen hero and the fucking goddess reborn.

i love groose. holy shit.

-he SLINKS ARND IN THE SHADOWS of paris for a while and it builds up marinettes paranoia bc shes TOTALLY 100% SEEN CHAT NOIR and knows that absolutely he isnt akumatized so she gaslights herself into thinking she hasnt caught random glimpses of chat blanc BUT ALSO spirals into a state of FULL BLOWN constant fight or flight response and wont sleep so that shes not vulnerable

-blah blah chat blanc drops in on her while adrien is arnd entirely bc i really wanted to draw that thing of adrien doing the Mom Arm when the car stops too fast bc this whole sitch is just a violent messy WRECK. anyway chat blancs whole attitude is like hewwo my love <:3c im here to give us a super romantic ending <:3c and marinettes response to everything is just like. okay cool, i am going to puke now!! meanwhile adriens just like what the FUCK is happening here

-anyway. more cat n mouse games. ANYWAY. at some point its lb vs cb but chat blanc is just having a great week and WINNING so gets her earrings or smth who cares and successfully romeo and juliets himself n marinette yandere style. a VERY ROMANTIC ENDING bc nothing was ever gonna fix things OBVI so ofc they have to just die in each others arms 💖

-YES adrien experiences massive manpain NO i dont care anyones opinion on it bc i love to see the kids cry. -idk. timeloop shit. adriens stuck in a cycle of the night before (V HARD TO GET A HEAD START IN SUCH A SHORT TIMEFRAME!!) day of, n day after (so no matter what he always has to reexperience the aftermath hehe). i am actually not a huge fan of when longer timespan loops get past mid teens (ESP when it gets to TRIPLE DIGITS???!) bc it feels like it cheapens the experience and also acute stress is sexier than chronic SO ANYWAY. eventually he will obviously succeed in brking the loop and keeping marinette frm dying. good for him.

-every loop is a little different bc every loop marinette CANT PUT HER FINGER ON IT but she knows something is Not Right, which chat blanc is ALSO feelin, so every time they react or do smth diff which means adrien is constantly having to deal w CHANGING VARIABLES !! hes having a bad time. marinette is having a bad time. chat blanc is having a very good time

-final actual confrontation or whatever is pure marichat (DOUBLETEAM. MARI IS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT EVEN AS A CIVILIAN. YOU GO BABY!!). ive only drawn adrinette moment but the whole thing is very marichat bc im PREDICTABLE!! anyway no lb bc marinette freaks out cb is gonna take her earrings or cataclysm them so she just straight up swallows em. good job baby.

-THE END BABY!! epilogue reveal EVENTUALLY but for quite some time after they are both quietly carrying the weight of their secret traumas alone w neither of them having a full picture of the situation but not knowing it. what a good time :)

i think this looks v adrien focused but they are all having their separate little stories here and its largely marinette feeling isolated and small for all her mistakes, and chat blanc feels like the worst possible one she has or could ever make so she cant consider asking anyone, let alone CHAT NOIR HIMSELF!! to help her, which just makes everything 100000x harder. by the end of the STORY PROPER she accepts she can trust herself in chat noirs hands but shes still too scared to put her full weight on him bc she doesnt wanna FUCK UP. meanwhile adrien wont say shit to her abt it bc he doesnt wanna burden her w his SECRETS also hes drownin in guilt. also eventual identity reveal changes nothing for him in terms of grief bc he already felt like he died every time marinette did except worse bc he had to just keep living anyway :) but now also hes afraid of an identity reveal for probably obvious reasons. and then beloved CHAT BLANC man of the HOUR switched gears frm wanting to Fix things to wanting to destroy things bc hes a fucking yandere wifeguy OKAY. he knows he is forever RUINED for love of marinette and since he cant have her future is instead entirely focused on making sure he has all of her end <:3c

dw the kids are gonna be OKAY. they are insane and the power of LOVE will help pull them thru, theyre just going to be incredibly clingy for the rest of their LIVES

youre absolutely right about her being open, but the thing is that it feels more like the false-openness. Like, realistically,, the player really only knows most this stuff from context clues!! Techincally, she never techincally admitted to having a dead gf, but beaford literally just made a wlw and dried lilys joke and alicia freezed up like a fish out of water. So. You sorta realize.

Also, we really only know tidbits of her motives and stuff, but thats it. theyre only small bits. She has a board in the office about a hotel incident from three years ago; is it just a random story? Is it something she was apart of? Did dried lily girl die in it? What about it ??? ALICIIA PLEASE!!!!!! Plus, her motives to bringing Beaford back on the surface ARE what she says it is. Repay for making Alicia go through that shit because he got possessed by some demon. But also; he's probably one of the first examples of the supernatural ACTUALLY being the supernatural in her experince. And what do we know she is?? Skepticle of the super natural. So seeing a whole ass demon possess this really pathetic college drop out is defiently something Alicia finds horribly important considering shes searching for some proof to the super natural. Because really guys.. do you think Alicia Wilkershire went to her highschool guidance counselor sayng she wanted to be an ordained minister and excorist? Yeah, no. That is NOT how it works!!!!!

Alsoooo, i think her and beaford have both a really complicated and a really simple relationship simultaneously. Because on one hand; they are what they are on the surface. Beaford works for Alicia to pay back for the shit he pulled with that demon possession thing. On the other hand; there's WAY more than that.

Alicia is not a very warm and kind person, by like, any means. She's over six feet tall, spicaze herself described her as mean, and she literally repeteadly kicks at beaford WHILE HES DOWN even after the demon stopped possessing him actively. But shes seen being at least a lot kinder with beaford. She watched that one anime with him not even a month into knowing him (even if she bemoans it, actively) and even went far enough to find a reedeeming quality in it (I.E the fashion) !!!!! She lets him poke fun at him (even though, to be fair, she absolutely decks him everytime he does.) And to be frank; this is not stuff that Alicia do with just any person. We can tell shes awkward with most clients; but even when first meeting beaford, she was way more casual and comofortably speaking then she does with Naomi (who she has to lean back on Beaford to talk to !!!!)

Obviously this doesnt take away fromt he fact Alicia IS still a bit (very) mean to beaford. But it's just. Way different from how she treats others. Which is why I'm very convinced its because Beaford reminds her of dried lily girl; especially consdering the aspect of how they have VERY similar speech traits and personailities in regards to Alicia (Poking fun at her, seeing her differently than others do, etc..) especially consdering the conversation we see in the knife ending where Alicia is (presumably) speaking to dried lily in the after life.

Also. I'm pretty sure its canon that Beaford just up and left without saying anything. His family is obviously very rigid in the fact that theyre all doctors and expect the same from Beaford. Plus considering his shock at seeing the photo of him and sister still in his sisters room-- I can really only presume his home life wasn't really the best. So him just up and leaving isnt too shocking/unwarranted

Anyways I really lvoe these two and i'll probably make a post later about them. Thank you Electra. Your sins have been forgiven.
