¡Skate/sing your hearts out! (Yuri Plisetsky x reader)
(part four)
Part one. Part two. Part three. Part five. Masterlist
Summary:After last year's cancellation of Figure Skating Grand Prix, Yuri Plisetsky finds himself unable to bring out his inner skater after a year of doing nothing but enjoy life like a regular teenager. That's when you enter the picture; We Are Voice Grand Awards's currently hottest competitive vocalist come first place two years in a row. Just like the other competitors of Grand Prix, it turns out that Victor and Yuuri faces the same issue. With an arrangement between Victor and Yakov, they agree to travel to Japan and hire you as a mutual coach for Yuri and Yuuri to help bring back the emotion into their performances like before, maybe even more intense than ever. Yuri however, who's never experienced issues with his coaches before, for some reason finds this one particularly difficult to coexist along with in their (reasonably) odd partnership. Warnings: none
Tumblr media
*Your POV*
Your eyes scanned through the fully stocked room that came to be yours a couple of days ago. Fairly large and a great window where the sun came to welcome you each morning. Not even the blinds could stop it. Now it was fairly dark inside since the sun was about to go down. You reached for the light switch and scanned through all your products and belongings for things that you could possibly move somewhere else.
The grunt of the Russian skater behind you caused you to turn around. As you did, he stopped and returned your stare, as if waiting for you to announce something. There was a lot that you needed to clean up. If you had known that you'd be expecting a roommate, you'd already have done so. Guess Victor forgot to mention that too, eh?
The visible twitch in the corner of your left eye was impossible to force back. Just at the mere thought of unintentional (?) screwups of the one and only Victor Nikiforov. Now, just because he was your childhood friend, it didn't mean that he wouldn't receive a massive ass-whooping if he as much as repeated the same mistake three times the same day now the few remaining hours of the day. If only you could get that message through.
And, you kind of did. Just not to the man you intended. Yuri at the receiving end of your stare was just about to open his mouth to say something, what you assume, sour when he noticed the twitching of your eye. Surprisingly, it shut him up before he started. He kind of shielded himself behind one of his bags and eyed you carefully.
Shit, wrong Russian dude.
"Sorry, that was meant for Victor." You let out a sigh and helped him with one of his bags out in the hall. You got a simple nod from the boy just before you passed him in the doorway.
He's been acting all quiet and confused ever since you tended to his wounds. Was something you said unclear? Maybe you should make sure the two of you were on the same page. 'Later...' you thought.
Yuuri and Victor hurried to the entrance of your room with a couple of more bags.
"So what do you think about it, Yuri? Pretty special eh?" It was Yuuri who spoke up, probably just as an act of friendliness. Though, you could understand how a punk like Yuri might take it as teasing.
"I'm not staying here. There's- there is no way I'm sharing a room with another person. I should have my own room. Why can't Victor and (Y/n) share a room and I get my own?!"
Ah, there he is. You were starting to get worried that he might actually turn nice. Then you'd have to call an ambulance just to ease Yakov's mind if he ever found out.
"With that thief? Nuh-uh. He already owes me an entire bottle of lotion, a mascara and a lipgloss. And for some reason, my throwaway razors are gone too. I'm not endangering any more of my stuff to him!" You shot a glare at Victor but he intentionally pretended not to hear nor see you. Seriously?
"Just lock them up or something, I don't care. Maybe I should just sleep on the couch. Give me one reason why it's worth sharing this room with you."
You didn't really know why you felt so opposed to the thought of him sleeping on the couch. You should be relived that you wouldn't have to share room with The Russian punk. But you still mumbled the one sentence after taking a brief moment to carefully word out your reason.
"What did you say?"
"... I have a cat."
The silence following almost made you feel like the scene of these weird soap operas that streamed on tv once in a while. But you did have a cat. A beautiful sacred Birman with the eyes of an ocean. And you knew about Yuri's fascination with them. Victor mentioned it somewhere along the lines when discussing his arrival days ago. And if you had to give him one reason, then that would be the one. It's probably the only reason too.
"Where." It wasn't a question. It almost made you giggle but you kept a straight face. Victor who knew the reason behind your words, almost cracked under the pressure.
"He's probable sleeping under the blanket on my bed, as always-"
Yuri pushed Victor aside with a stern 'move' and headed for your bed. A little anxious, you followed him through the entrance, afraid that he would be like one of those crazy catpeople who never stopped bothering their cat. You worried because you were one of those people. But because your cat was rather clingy too and you always had a bunch of stuff to do daytime, it kind of evened out the contrast. Two crazy people were too much, you figured.
"Well, we'll go off now and let you two bond now. Don't forget that we're having afternoon tea in an hour!" And with that, Victor and Yuuri was out of the picture. For awhile.
A round uneven pile under you blanket made Yuri stop at the end of the bed. You stood beside him as he lifted the blanket, revealing the fuzzy ball that was your cat. Round eyes stared up at the both at you and the cat stretched it's back, making a 'u' position.
"His name is Magnolia. You'll have to apologize to him for interrupting his sleepy time though." You half expected Yuri to scoff at your statement, thinking you were taking the animal too seriously. But the baby voice he used to communicate with Magnolia next almost had you taking a step back.
"Hi, Magnolia... 'm sorry, pretty boy. You'll have to forgive me, I'm afraid." He kept on talking to the sleepy cat as he extended a hand for him to smell. Magnolia yawned and gave the hand a sniff before sitting up, eyes intensely staring into the boy's soul. You could tell by the hesitation of Yuri's petting hand that he really wanted the cat's approval. He cat kept staring him straight in the eyes which usually means bad. Though, the purring heard from his belly said the opposite. You finally relaxed a little. Magnolia is very picky with who gets to touch him and you were expecting a bite, honestly.
"He's always been so stare-y... I've figured that he only stare at people he like or something he finds very interesting." You crouched down beside Yuri and rested with your arms at the bedside.
"Like owner, like cat, I guess then. I feel like he has the exact same piercing gaze you gave me earlier." Yuri grinned smugly at you and turned back his attention to the ball of fur who stood up, stroking its back to your chin. A little heat rose to your cheeks and you hoped Magnolia covered it up well enough with his body. It was kind of true. And you couldn't really deny it. You always did watch things a little to intense. But just because you found people very interesting, always seeking to improve your understanding and emotional range at any given time. So you shrugged your shoulders and coughed a little when the cat made sure to get his butt all up in your face too. This habit, you had noticed, was a trait almost every cat held within them.
"You're going to object or what?" Yuri caught your attention again and Magnolia moved away from your face just in time. So he was expecting some kind of denial.
"You're not wrong... You've just got the wrong idea of it."
"What do you mean?"
"You should probably start getting yourself settled here. We only have one hour."
"You didn't answer me." Yuri's remark left unanswered as well as you stood up and threw a bag at him. A light 'oof' slipped through him as the heavy thing hit him right in the stomach.
"Hey!"
You grinned and opened another bag, pouring the internal onto the floor. Tons of clothes splattered on the floor. Everything in-between black training clothes to underwear and a pajamas with cat prints. A keychain with a chibi cat and a stuffed animal of a tiger fell out on the floor lastly on top of the pile. Yuri quickly made his way to the clothes and gathered them in his arms, trying to hide them away. It was worth taking an extra look at the blush staining his cheeks. You wondered if you'd just met a fellow catmerch fan as instense as you. No, this was far crazier than you! Especially as you recognized the keychain being a print of his own cat that you'd seen on a social media Yuri Plisetsky fanpage once.
"Y-you can't touch my stuff! Nor see it!" His voice was a good blend of anger and a thick stain of embarrassment.
Maybe it wasn't ideal poring someone else's belongings onto the floor. But you knew that look that Yuri bearded only moments ago. The cat had taken him as his loyal servant and Yuri wasn't intending to move until he had satisfied Magnolia's every need. If you let that happen, it would take the entire hour you had to clean up the room. And you clearly didn't have that time.
"Just hurry up and help me then if I'm not allowed to touch it!"
"Fine! And move your stupid clothes and stuff over to your half of the room!"
(A/N: Shoutout to my cat who gave me the entire butt-in-face idea through experience. I really owe you one, you little jerk<3 Also, what have you thought of the story so far? I bet you Victor has planned a familiar exercise for tomorrow's day of training. Just a little helping hand to get Yuri back into shape, y'know;))

“Good work today, (Name)-san!”
“You too, Osamu-san!”
Your boss walks up to the entrance and switches over the sign to display ‘Closed’. You let out a deep yawn as you grab the broom to start your nightly cleaning routine at Onigiri Miya.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a month since you started working here. You can honestly say that this is probably the most enjoyable job position you’ve had in a while. You were able to learn new onigiri recipes and even started recognizing some of the regular customers that have fallen in love with Osamu’s cooking. This includes a very kind, elderly woman who always makes sure to give you a peppermint every time she stops by.
Your friendly relationship with Osamu has definitely been one of the most obvious reasons why you’ve been able to juggle everything in your life along with working for your expenses. He’s become a trustworthy and reliable person even though you’ve only known each other for a short period of time. Although it was a bit awkward calling each other by your first names in the beginning, you both got fairly comfortable addressing each other since you practically see him almost every day.
Though he doesn’t necessarily count as a customer, Osamu’s troublemaker brother is another frequent guest at Onigiri Miya. Atsumu comes by to visit at least once a week to eat or stop by after practice. By default, that means you’ve had the pleasure to deal with his antics every week since the kitchen massacre incident. He’s even gotten into the habit of calling you ‘sweetheart’ just to get some reaction out of you. You have to admit, it’s pretty fun to watch the twins banter back and forth, especially since Osamu always makes Atsumu pay for whatever he eats (“But, I’m your brother!”/”Yeah, so you should support my business.”).
Despite the chaos that follows Miya Atsumu, you always end up striking up a decent conversation, usually revolving around volleyball and his team. He always brings up how he’ll bring over the team eventually, but it’s just been a bit busy lately since they were preparing for tryouts. He actually hasn’t come by for a couple days now for that reason.
You snap out of your thoughts when you hear Osamu’s phone ringing. Judging by the slight scowl on his face, it’s probably his brother. You just continue to sweep under the counter, assuming that the call isn’t that important.
“You’re what? Right now? Seriously?” Osamu questions with a slightly peeved tone. There’s a brief pause as the other person on the other line starts whining. Your boss just sighs in defeat. “Fine. Only this one time since it’s been a while.”
Osamu ends the call reluctantly and you’re slightly concerned at his reaction. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, ‘Tsumu just told me that he’s on his way here with some of his teammates. Apparently they’re celebrating the new player on their team but everywhere else is closed or too crowded.”
“I can’t say I’m surprised that he told you last minute,” You sympathized.
“They’re gonna be a bit rowdy, so I guess I’ll just apologize now for bringing you into this mess. You can just continue doing your own thing and not worry about them.” The man just let out another tired sigh before making his way back behind the counter area and setting up any ingredients he may need to make more food. You let out a chuckle and waved off the unnecessary apology before continuing your sweeping.
It seems like the guys really told Osamu last minute because before you knew it, the front door flew open and a group of boisterous male voices rang through the air. You were so startled that you almost dropped the broom in your hands, turning your focus away from the guys that just walked in.
“Hey, ‘Samu! We’re here to party!”
“It’s been a while!”
“Wow! This place seems really nice! Your brother's pretty cool, Atsumu-san!”
Your body froze. You were caught off guard with the last person who spoke and couldn’t help but turn around quickly to confirm your suspicions. You were faced with four males clad in the yellow tracksuits you’ve become used to seeing since it’s the only thing you’ve seen the blonde Miya twin wear. Each held onto their own gym bags, so you assume that they just got out of practice. You recognize Atsumu and Bokuto. The one wearing a mask has never visited Onigiri Miya, but you can assume he’s Sakusa Kiyoomi, or better known as ‘Omi-Omi’ since that’s the nickname you hear from Atsumu’s stories. However, what you didn’t expect was to come face to face with a familiar mop of orange hair.
“Sho-kun?”
Everyone’s eyes shot towards your direction at your sudden interruption, including Hinata Shoyo’s. “No way! (Name)-san?!”
You placed your broom against the wall and the two of you made a beeline towards each other. Once you were close enough, Hinata engulfed you in a big bear hug. Even though he isn’t much taller than you, his muscular build entrapped you in a warm and comforting embrace. He rocks the two of you back and forth gleefully and you can’t help but squeal from the cute gesture.
Once the two of you separate, you both face each other with curiosity completely ignorant of the other people in the room who are looking back and forth between you guys in a state of bewilderment and shock.
“I didn’t know you worked here!” Hinata exclaimed.
“I actually only started working here about a month ago!” You responded back just as excitedly. “When did you get back to Japan? How’s Pedro? I didn’t get the chance to swap contact info before I left.”
“About a week ago! I tried to settle in and fix my sleeping schedule before I went to tryouts for Black Jackals and I got on the team! And, Pedro’s doing great! I can give you his social media account if you want!”
It seems like Atsumu was the first to get tired of watching without understanding the situation, so he just decides to break the ice himself, “Now, hold on a sec. You two know each other?”
“We actually met in Brazil!” Hinata replies.
“BRAZIL?!”
Osamu decided to join in on the questioning, albeit in a bit more of a reserved manner than his brother. “(Name)-san, why were you in Brazil?”
“I studied abroad for about 6 months lasts year,” you start to explain and then begin to ruffle Hinata’s hair. “I happened to run into Sho-kun after his bike broke down in front of the apartment I was staying at. Poor guy looked so lost, and his phone was out of battery so he couldn’t call anyone.”
The boy just laughs at your friendly gesture. “Yeah! (Name)-san helped me find the nearest repair shop and even patched up my injuries! I was really surprised to find someone else who spoke Japanese!”
“Same here. I didn’t know anyone in Brazil, so it was a bit lonely. We actually met up quite a few times to share a meal or watch a volleyball match at the beach whenever we were both free.”
The rest of the guys listened on with interest, except for maybe Sakusa who just walked over to one of the empty tables and wiped down the chair before taking a seat. Atsumu makes his way over to where you and Hinata are standing and throws an arm over the younger boy. “You guys seem pretty close if you’re on a first name basis, Shoyo-kun.”
Hinata just looked up to his fellow team member with innocent eyes. “Well, everyone called us by our first names in Brazil, so we just decided to go with it since it was getting a bit confusing for some of our friends.”
“That’s pretty cute. You guys are basically best friends already.” Atsumu just hummed in acknowledgement before turning his head towards Sakusa. “Him and I are also on a first name basis ‘cause we’re the best of friends. Ain’t that right, Omi-Omi?”
You could hear a faint “tch” come from the masked figure. “Don’t associate me with one of your fantasies, Miya. And, I only called you by your first name that one time when your brother delivered food to the gym.”
“So cruel, Omi-Omi.”
“Okay, guys. Take a seat! Food’s ready!” Osamu announces. “(Name)-san, you mind helping me bring some of this stuff?”
You nod your head and take some of the warm food into your hands following your boss to where all four of the guys are now seated. Similar to when you first met, Bokuto’s lips slightly glisten from the drool pooling at the sight of the tasty meal. Sakusa pulls his mask down and places it in a plastic bag so that it doesn’t get messy from the food. Once all of the food is set on the table, you and Osamu stand off to the side to give the guys some space as they eat. However, before anyone could take a bite, Atsumu stands up from his chair.
“Alright, guys! Before we start eating, we gotta remember why we’re here! Captain and the other guys were a bit busy, so they couldn’t make it tonight, but it’s important that we do this today!” The blonde pats Hinata on the head. “Welcome to MSBY Black Jackals, Shoyo-kun!”
Bokuto lets out a loud whistle. “WOO! Welcome to the team, Hinata!!”
Sakusa just nods his head at his new teammate, the usual frown he sports is now absent from his face. If you squint hard enough, there’s a miniscule curve at the corner of his mouth.
“But, that’s not all!” Atsumu remains standing as he dumps the rest of his speech on everyone in the room. He points at the two-tone haired male sitting in front of him. “Bo-kun! The bag, please!”
Bokuto snaps his fingers as if he just remembered something. The owlish man shuffles through his gym bag and produces a heavy plastic bag. You can hear the clinking of glass as he raises it higher. “I’ve got the good stuff!”
Atsumu looks ecstatic. “Can’t have a celebration without a little bit of alcohol to spice it up!”
Slightly concerned, you look up to Osamu to gauge his reaction towards the introduction of alcohol. He looks a bit uneasy, but just lets out his third sigh of the night. “Just don’t break anything, or I will make sure none of you make it out alive from this building.”
Completely ignoring the threatening tone, Atsumu and Bokuto start popping open bottles of who-knows-what. Sakusa just opts for a glass of water since he has no intentions of partaking in the silly shenanigans between the two most eccentric volleyball players. Hinata has no choice but to comply as Atsumu pours his glass to the brim. Eventually all the guys start to dig into their food as well.
With nothing else left to help them with, you and Osamu get back to cleaning the other areas. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to wipe down everything and gather the trash. You step into the back room to get everything together so that you’re prepared to leave whenever the group outside finishes their meal. You smile as you hear muffled laughter and loud conversations through the closed door. Your boss had let you know that he’ll clean up after them, but you didn’t have the heart to make him do all of that work himself.
You step out to the main room to have an idea of where everyone’s at with their food but stop in your tracks as you witness a significantly more irritated Osamu watching the table of four with a twitching eye behind the counter. You’re about to ask what’s wrong, but you can pretty much guess what the problem might be.
The table is littered with empty alcohol bottles and half-full glass cups. Surprisingly, there isn’t much of a mess in terms of leftover food, but it doesn’t make up the fact that there are three very drunk men hovering over the table.
Atsumu’s upper body is entirely flushed pink from the bottom of his neck to the tips of his ears, and he’s fanning his face with the top of his shirt. Hinata practically has flowers oozing off of his figure as he sways back and forth next to the blonde, a permanent carefree smile plastered on his face next to his red cheeks. Although not as obvious as the other two, Sakusa has a glossy shine to his eyes above his own pink cheeks and hiccups occasionally in his seat, focusing his eyes on a tiny speck on the table. Not sure whether to be surprised or not, your eyes move onto Bokuto, who was completely sober. He heartedly laughs at the state of his drunk friends, enjoying every moment.
“I thought Sakusa-san wasn’t going to drink?” You ask Osamu.
Your boss just shakes his head. “‘Tsumu switched his glass when he went to the bathroom and he didn’t notice until it was too late.”
You’re not sure whether you want to pray for the blonde’s safety once Sakusa is in his right mind, or if you wanna ask Hinata to record the poor man’s fate in the hands of an angry, hungover Sakusa.
Osamu just turns around with heavy steps and makes his way to the back room, probably to do the same thing you went to the back room for a couple minutes ago. You look back to the table when you hear a chair scraping against the floor. Atsumu seems to have moved his chair right next to Sakusa because before you knew it, he was leaning against the tall spiker with his hands in the air.
“Omi-Omi! Can I borrow your sanitizer? My hands got dirty!” Wrong choice of words.
Sakusa immediately shoves his elbow backwards and it slams right into Atsumu’s chest, forcing his breath right out of him. The setter doubles over clutching his chest, while Sakusa simply pulls out his sanitizer and applies it to wherever he has come in contact with the man next to him. It seems like drunk Sakusa is a bit more violent about his way of rejecting people.
Remembering how tired your boss looked before he left the room, you felt the need to try and intervene to encourage the group to start thinking about calling it a day. As you approach, the first person to notice you was Hinata. As soon as he realizes who you are, his eyes light up as if he was a child that just received a birthday gift.
“(Name)-san!”
You don’t even get the chance to make it halfway to the table when the boy jumps up from his chair and stalks over to where you are. Without warning, Hinata throws his arms over your shorter figure and smothers you with another hug. It takes all of your mental fortitude to not think about how muscular his arms feel around your shoulders or how strong his grip is on your back. He was definitely not this fit the last time you saw him.
“You’re awfully affectionate today, Sho-kun.”
“Hehe~ I’m just glad to see you, (Name)-san!” Hinata starts shuffling around a bit until his cheek is able to nuzzle with yours. You giggle at how adorable he is.
Although you appreciate his affection, Hinata was slowly suffocating you with his tight embrace. You signal to the only other sober person in the room for help. Bokuto continues to laugh at everything going around him but complies and makes his way over to the two of you before peeling off the orange haired male from your body. Luckily, Hinata was too drunk to actually keep his grip on you and just fell into his teammate’s arms.
“Thanks, Bokuto-san.” You’re able to stand up straight again and Bokuto gives you a thumbs up with a wide grin. He takes Hinata back to the table to sit him down and you follow suit. Osamu walked out of the back room at this time and just began tying up two large trash bags next to the sink, not even batting an eyelash in the group’s direction.
You should’ve expected it, but you were still startled when you suddenly felt a heavy arm sling across your shoulder. “So, you come here often, sweetheart?”
You blankly stare at Atsumu’s smug expression as he continues to nestle his arm comfortably around you. His flushed appearance was definitely not helping his attempt at flirting with you. “Come on, there’s no way a goddess like you could resist my divine qualities.”
“Lame.” Osamu was quick to comment on his brother’s cheesy words while walking towards the exit with the two garbage bags in his arms. He stepped outside and closed the door to keep any insects from wandering inside as he took out the trash.
You were about to swat Atsumu’s body away but noticed the deep, dark circles under his eyes and came to the conclusion that he’s probably going to pass out from exhaustion at some point anyways, so you just let him be. His attention span seems to be a lot shorter too since he suddenly let go of you and lunged forward towards Sakusa’s hand sanitizer bottle that was now sitting neatly on top of the table.
Although he’s usually good at completely avoiding Atsumu’s attempts at stealing his things, Sakusa’s reflexes were a bit deterred due to his tipsy condition. Instead of snatching the bottle away from the blonde’s vicinity, Sakusa ended up knocking the bottle to the ground with his own hand.
Luckily, Bokuto was able to stop Atsumu from crashing onto the table headfirst with one arm still holding onto Hinata. Afraid that Sakusa would possibly slap the setter or drag Hinata into the crossfire in a drunken stupor, he pulled Atsumu close by and slung his arm over his two drunk teammates.
Sakusa just let out a disgruntled groan and sent a nasty glare to Atsumu. He stood up to look for the fallen bottle but misjudged where he stepped. Luck decided not to be on his side as the tall spiker placed a foot directly on top of the sanitizer bottle causing his balance to shift. The world tilted in his vision and his body began to succumb to gravity and fall...on top of you.
You tried to stop both of your bodies from losing balance by wrapping your arms around his torso, but your shorter frame was no match for Sakusa’s much bigger body. You can hear shouts of concern coming from the other three guys as the both of you crashed to the floor in a mess of limbs. The air is knocked out of you and you wince at the heavy weight laying on top of you.
During the fall, your eyes shut tight automatically to brace yourself, so it takes a moment for you to reopen them. As soon as your eyelids flutter open, your breath hitches. Sakusa’s face is mere inches from your own and he looks just as stunned as you do. You realize that his thighs are on either side of you and somehow he was able to quickly place a hand under your head to make sure it didn’t come in direct contact with the hard floor after toppling over together. Your heart is beating fast and you can only hope that Sakusa doesn’t notice.
While the two of you are stuck in a brief trance, the rest of the group is just watching in a huddled position. Even they were mostly keeping silent, perhaps anticipating whatever was going to happen next. Hinata's face held a mixture of confusion and wonder, while Atsumu’s expression held obvious annoyance. Bokuto's eyes danced with fascination as his mouth hung loose.
All of a sudden, the front door slid open and everyone’s head snapped towards the entrance. Osamu stood on the other side wiping his hands on his jeans.
“Alright, guys. It’s time to-” He stopped speaking once he took a good look at the scene in front of him. It was a bit difficult to figure out what was going through Osamu’s head because he just held a deadpan expression.
Not liking the bit of tension in the air, you clear your throat. “Um...I could use a little help.”
At your pleading, Osamu steps back inside the shop and grabs Sakusa by the shoulders to slowly take him off of you so that the spiker doesn’t end up falling over again from any sudden movements. You sit up and see that Bokuto had gotten up from his seat to lend you a hand. You take it gratefully.
“I guess now would be a good time to go home,” Bokuto mentions sheepishly. “Do you guys need any help with cleaning?”
Osamu gave Sakusa a glass of water to sober him up a bit then turned to Bokuto. “Just keep an eye on these guys and (Name)-san and I will take care of everything else.”
With that, you and your boss spent the next couple of minutes clearing the area and washing all the used dishes. In the meantime, Bokuto kept an eye on all of the other guys and even called up a taxi to arrive soon. Atsumu and Hinata seemed to have fallen asleep while waiting, and Sakusa just slouched in his chair quietly grumbling about how his sanitizer is undoubtedly contaminated.
Once everything was set, all of you grabbed your things (Osamu shouldering his snoring brother; Bokuto piggybacking a snoozing Hinata) and locked the door to Onigiri Miya. The taxi was already parked in front of the shop, so all that was left was to figure out how everyone was getting home.
“You only called for one taxi?” Osamu questioned.
“Oh yeah, Omi-kun doesn’t want to ride the taxi,” Bokuto replied as he hoisted Hinata’s body in the back seat of the taxi. “I thought we could all just squeeze into the back since most of us are on the way anyways.”
Sakusa, who is slightly more sober than before, took out a new mask from his bag. “I live a couple blocks down, so I’ll just walk.”
“Oh, actually, I live a couple blocks down too, so I was just planning on walking as well,” you respond. “You all have to go in the opposite direction, so it’ll be a hassle to drop me off.”
Osamu’s eyebrows furrow with unease. “It’s pretty late. I don’t think it’s a good idea to walk around in the dark alone at this hour. Where’s your place?”
“Ashita Complex*.”
“Seriously?!” Bokuto suddenly exclaims, startling everyone. “Omi-kun lives there too!”
“No-”
“That’s great,” Osamu interrupts. “You guys can walk together.”
Bokuto’s hair flairs up along with his arms in satisfaction. “Man, I love it when everything works out and everyone’s happy!”
There seemed to be no room for objections by the germaphobe himself, so he just sighs in defeat. The rest of you just say your goodbyes and Osamu finally shoves Atsumu into the back before taking the front passenger seat himself with Bokuto offering to sit in the back with his sleeping teammates. As soon as the taxi is out of sight, you turn around to see that Sakusa had already started walking ahead.
“Hey! Wait up!” You rush to where Sakusa was and eventually match your strides with his.
The taller man doesn’t slow down his pace and just continues forward. He does, however, glance at you from the corner of his eye. “You know, if you live so close by, it would’ve been fine if they dropped you off.”
“And, leave you to walk home by yourself? No way.” You shake your head to emphasize your resolve. “You’re still slightly tipsy, so I feel more comfortable seeing you get to your apartment in one piece.”
“I’m fine.”
“You say that, but then why are you still swaying as you walk?” You point out. “I know you’re not acting like a typical intoxicated person, but your mind is still pretty cloudy, right?”
There was no way to counter that argument because even Sakusa knew that he wasn’t exactly walking straight since he wasn’t completely sober. “Then, walk at least six feet behind me.”
You pout a bit at his pettiness. The only way to fight fire is with fire. “Yeah? But, what if you lose your balance and bump into a street light that hundreds of people have probably touched throughout the day?”
Silence. You know you’ve won this time, but you still try to be a bit respectful and stand at least an arm’s length away.
The rest of the walk is fairly quiet, only the sounds of your footsteps echoing across the empty streets. You didn’t mind, though, since you were able to just enjoy the cool night air that refreshed your tired mind. Once you reached the apartment complex, Sakusa stepped back as you scanned your ID card and opened the door. You figured he just didn’t want to touch anything, but didn’t say anything since you were just too tired to question him.
The only elevator in the building was under maintenance, so the two of you had to take the stairs for today.
“What floor are you?” You ask.
“3rd.”
“Oh, you live on the floor right below me.” You were a bit surprised at how you haven’t run into him at all since you’ve lived in this apartment for a while. To be honest, it’s probably because he doesn’t go out much unless it’s for volleyball.
As the two of you step onto the 3rd floor, Sakusa starts heading for his apartment door. You didn’t really expect anything from him, so you were taken aback when Sakusa stopped in his tracks to look at you briefly.
“Thanks.”
A small smile forms on your lips at Sakusa’s simple gesture. “Good night, Sakusa-san.”
The said man just raises a hand over his shoulder without looking back and takes out his keys with his other arm. You standby to make sure he goes in safely and hear the lock click. Satisfied, you climb the rest of the stairs to your floor and make your way to your own apartment.
As soon as you're inside, you shove off your shoes and make a beeline for the couch. Taking in a deep breath, you eventually exhale willing your exhaustion to leave your body as well. It probably won’t do you any good to fall asleep in your uniform, so you decide to change into more comfortable clothing and prepare for bed.
Clothed in your favorite gym shorts and oversized T-shirt, you hop into bed. Your eyelids are practically closing in on themselves as you scroll through your phone one last time. Despite your initial tiredness, your eyes shoot open when you catch a glimpse of a certain YouTube video.
“Kodzuken posted a video today!” You squeal out loud. There’s no way you can sleep without watching it now. Kodzuken was your favorite Youtuber, and you’ve never missed a single one of his videos. You even went as far as buying merchandise from his athletic wear company, hence the Bouncing Ball shorts and shirt you were currently wearing as your pajamas.
If you ever met him in person, you honestly don’t know how you’d react. You’ve heard that he used to play volleyball in high school, so maybe with all the volleyball players you’ve been coming across, fate will find its way to you.
But, a girl could only dream.

Leftovers:
Bright light glares through the blinds of Sakusa’s room to indicate that the sun has already risen quite a bit. A loud doorbell rings through the apartment causing Sakusa to stir. The man opens one eye and groans at the obnoxious headache that was already set to ruin his morning. His mouth is incredibly dry, and he doesn’t feel that he’s gotten nearly enough sleep last night. Sakusa was most definitely feeling the symptoms of a mild hangover.
“I’m going to kill that blonde gremlin.”
With much reluctance, the tall man drags his body to a standing position. He makes the bed as neat as possible before walking out of his room towards the front door. Sakusa makes the effort to look through the peephole to see if he could make out the person who decided to disturb him from the comforts of his bed but is confused when he can’t see anyone outside.
Normally, he would just walk away and assume it’s just someone who rang the wrong doorbell (it’s happened multiple times before), but there’s a nagging feeling at the back of his brain to just open the door. Sakusa clicked the lock loose and opened the door wide enough for him to peek outside. A slight shuffling noise startled him and when he looked down he saw a plastic bag hooked onto the door handle.
A little skeptical, Sakusa grabs two disposable gloves from the box he placed next to the entrance of his home and slides them onto his hands. He has no idea where this bag has been, so he’s not taking any chances in coming in contact with potential germs.
Shutting his door closed with his leg, Sakusa makes his way over to his kitchen countertop and places the bag on top of it. He considers just throwing it out, but notices a pink slip of paper at the top of the contents inside. Curiously, he pulls it out and realizes that it’s a written note. He doesn’t recognize the handwriting, but skims through to find any hints of the sender, and surely enough, he sees your name printed in the second sentence.
Hey, Sakusa-san! It’s (Surname) (Name). I’m on my way to work, so I thought I’d just drop this off really quick. You drank quite a bit, so I made you some soup to counter the hangover. Don’t worry! I thoroughly washed my hands and put on gloves before making it! Feel free to throw it out if it makes you uncomfortable. I also put in an extra sanitizer since I know you were upset about the one yesterday. Have a nice day at practice!
Sakusa just stares blankly at the piece of paper for a couple seconds before putting it down and analyzing the contents in the plastic bag. Just like you said, there’s a large blue thermos and a travel-size sanitizer bottle that looks almost identical to the one he dropped yesterday just in a different color. If he were to be completely honest, he probably has the same bottle somewhere in his cleaning supply shelf, but you can never have too many sanitizers. As he took out both items, his nose caught the familiar scent of disinfectant. You must’ve wiped down everything before placing it in the bag.
The stoic man stares at the thermos and sanitizer in silence. After a couple more moments, he simply turns towards his stove and starts heating up the soup.

***Please do not succumb to peer pressure when drinking, folks! Drink safe!
A/N: the #1 Cockblock Award goes to...Miya Osamu, everyone! Hehe, just kidding~ I also added a ‘Leftovers’ part to this chapter as sort of an ‘extra’ or an ‘omake’! I don’t know how often I’ll add these, but I really wanted to write this one, so I hope you enjoyed it too!

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey - Scene 49
Well, now, believe it or not, but there are only three more weeks/episodes left of season 1 of The Journey. There will be several big changes coming once Season 2 gets underway so I’ll have a lot of work to o getting ready behind the scenes, but hopefully it is worth it. Anyway, let me stop babbling and let you dive into...
Tumblr media
“It’s so good!” Rosy swooned and held a hand to her face and held up the soft serve ice cream cone she had. “I love festivals! And this one is such a big party! Ooh~! Why couldn’t we enjoy this one without having to crash it Sonic?”
“We’ll just have to blame our purple friend,” Sonic remarked, though there was little humor in his mood.
~I feel really bad for Sonic. He doesn’t usually let anything get him down, but Claymore the Purple really hurt his pride when we met him. That and he kidnapped Tails, Mighty, and Draw. I don’t know what happened to Mote, but I hope they’re with Draw still. It’s a shame they can’t enjoy the festival either. Tee-hee! Maybe I shouldn’t be letting myself have so much fun either.
~Tower Point, it’s not just a small community like I’ve mostly seen in the lands under Yolk, it’s one of the largest cities I’ve ever seen. Its name comes from all the large towers, but it’s crazy! From the cobbled roads there isn’t anywhere to go but the towers. It’s like being walled in with a spiderweb roof of bridges up above. And there are vendors and food stalls everywhere. Bands are playing in the streets and over a radio system that you can hear everywhere in the city. And the sky is full of confetti too! It’s just one massive celebration. But Sonic and I can’t enjoy it, well not as much as I’d like too. We have to face Claymore and rescue our friends. It’s such a waste of a good party too.~
“Stay sharp kid. We’ve got company coming.”
    ~Well, maybe not a total waste, tee-hee~♥
~As Sonic and I made our way deeper and deeper into the maze of towers and bridges, more and more autogolems started showing up. There were a lot that just looked like suits of armor built on clockwork skeletons, but there were also helmets with wings in the sky, and even more of the helmets with spider legs that were with Claymore when he attacked us. But none of them were going to get me! I could outrun them if I really tried, and Sonic could bash them to bits super easy! But Sonic did one better. Eeee! He held my hand to discourage them from coming after me! Ooh~! It’s so romantic~♥~
Enthralled as Rosy was by Sonic making sure she didn’t get separated in the crowds, Rosy couldn’t help but taunt one autogolem, a Squire Legs as it stared at her with glowing yellow eyes from its black knight helmet. If it could have developed an exasperated bead of sweat, it would have as Rosy pulled down her eye lid and stuck her tongue out at it. As her free hand was being held by Sonic, she managed to get ice cream in her eye and yelped out in surprise.
“Your rascally antics are going to make this harder than it needs to be,” Sonic warned her before pulling her into a bridal carry.
    “Eep! S-Sonic!”
“You seem to be enjoying yourself, but I think it’s time we take things up to my pace.”
Not wasting a moment longer, or bothering to explain to Rosy, Sonic suddenly speed off and right up the sides of a tower. His speed assured most people wouldn’t get a good look at the cause of the commotion and bouncing from tower to tower and bridge to bridge, it was impossible for the average person to keep up with Sonic. He wasn’t just bouncing about aimlessly either. Though such maneuvers would have easily confused the autogolems trying to watch him and Rosy, his destination was a massive clearing in the forest of towers.
The city of Tower Point was not just home to seemingly countless towers and spires, but it was also the home of the Ring decrying religious group known as the Preservers. As such, most of the architecture looked as though it was fashioned after gothic style cathedrals merged with a steam work pipe system. There were several actual cathedrals mixed into the forest of towers, from their bases and peaks alongside observatories nigh everywhere, to even underground and within some of the larger towers. There was one cathedral though that was a series of towers itself, with the largest in the entire city at its center. It was that complex and the only massively open plaza in the city that Sonic aimed for.
To call the plaza massive however, was an understatement. It was several miles wide and several more long. Canals and parks littered the venue, and the most massive of crowds Rosy had ever seen gathered in it for the Banquet of Claymore the Purple. A celebration in open defiance of Yoluku, the small planet hanging in the above watching the festivities from below the permanent red lightning bolt that arced across the sky from horizon to horizon.
Asides from the main tower itself, the best view of the plaza was from any one of the plethora of airships that filled the skies above. Leaping between several and putting the best distance he could between himself and any and all flightless autogolems, Sonic eventually set Rosy down on the deck of a tadpole shaped one of a coral red hue.
“Sorry, about coming aboard uninvited,” Sonic laughed off his intrusion and offered a wave to the people on the deck of the vessel. A deck that looked familiar to Rosy as it ran back from the main body to the tail of the vessel under and above several propellers and sails.
“Hey, Sonic, isn’t this…” Rosy started, but the variety of people on the deck were all wearing badges with a wrench super imposed over a gear wheel, the symbol of the Engineers. “Uh-oh…”
The sweat drop that ran down Rosy’s cheek and her nervous smile told Sonic something other than what his nose did. As it wasn’t itching, or hinting at a coming sneeze, he was sure they were fine, but put a comforting hand on Rosy’s shoulder anyway. “No sweat kid. A bunch of mechanics aren’t going to be much of a threat to me.”
“We could still push you off,” one of the people on the deck warned and stood up, before stumbling back as Sonic was in their face.
“You really, think so? You’d have to catch me first. And I don’t think you, or you, or…”
Faster than anyone outside of Rosy, who was laughing at the display, could follow, Sonic introduced everyone on the deck to his speed. But even with his speed there were things that could surprise him.
    “…or you, or–?!”
    “Sonic!”
It was not Rosy who called out Sonic’s name, but the young fox girl who did was nonetheless familiar to both hedgehogs.
“Zooey!” Sonic asked in surprise. “What are–”
Sonic never finished the question. Zooey, not prepared for Sonic was even less prepared for Rosy, who tackled her in a crazy mixture of a bear hug and full-on nuzzling session. “ZOOEY!! It’s really you! I can’t believe it! I’ve been trying to catch up with you forever!”
“I thought I made it easy enough to follow me,” the yellow fox in the red dress stated her efforts to be found, and Sonic could only offer her a shrug and an awkward smile.
“What can we say, these lands are a mess. Great for adventuring and running, not so much for meeting up. But what brought you to this big party, Zooey?”
-|-
“I see,” Zooey sighed. “So, it was Mr. Gill who caused us so much trouble. And if I understand, you’re relying on him to cause even more now.”
“Not quite,” Sonic corrected Zooey as he leaned over the deck railing and looked at the plaza below. “I’m actually going to be the one causing trouble. Think I can use my plane to do it?”
“I’ve been using it and Tails’ X-Tornado for my races you know, Sonic. But I suppose it is yours.”
“You’re a real pal Zooey. Shame I can’t leave Amy with you though.”
“It’s Rosy!” Rosy corrected Sonic and earned a laugh from him. In response she puffed up her cheeks. “Ooh~! I don’t mind you using my real name Sonic, really! But we’re on an adventure! I’d rather go by Rosy while adventuring!”
“You’re enough of a rascal without calling yourself one,” Sonic teased Rosy and made her puff her cheeks up even more. He could have easily toyed with her all day, but he knew he didn’t have that type of time and turned his attention back to Zooey. “So, think you can have the Tornado ready to launch before Sir Buckethead makes his grand entrance?”
“It won’t be a problem at all,” Zooey sighed and earned a questioning look from Sonic and Rosy both. Their questioning eyes on her, Zooey forced a smile and explained herself. “It’s just, well… We finally meet back up and everyone is in this awful mess. I can’t believe Tails got captured too.”
“What can I say Zooey, Sir Buckethead is more trouble than he’s worth. But you leave the rescue operation to me and Rosy, and Gill and Blister too. Though, be ready to run, things might get dicey.”
Scene 49 · CLEARED Party Crashing, to be continued
-----
ZOOEY!!
XD Yes, Zooey is back just as we reach the end. I can’t say how involved she’ll be at this point as I only have  more scenes to work with, and as of the time I wrote this, this was the only scene I had written. Can you believe it’s the 10th of March or later while you’re reading this, yet when I wrote this it was February 3rd? It’s amazing stuff.
For now though though, I’ll leave everyone waiting for Scene 50! What a milestone! I hope everyone is as excited as am =D

FFVII Thoughts
-This whole thing with Jessie is so much filler it’s mostly unnecessary. Plus I feel like the whole impact of Jessie and her arc and even this filler is detracted by her being a former actress. Like I mentioned before I feel like her being an actress and known for toying with men kind of takes away from her crush on Cloud and makes it seem cheap. Also even though she’s someone’s daughter who is more tech inclined, I always thought of her as an engineer herself and like a former Shinra engineer that quit would have been a more powerful message than that of an actress. Even if you keep her Dad getting sick it adds an extra layer. Like say she worked in R&D and they like pushed an experimental mako enhancement for the plant too soon and she warned it would make people sick and it made her Dad sick. There’s a lot of ways her story would have been better and fit more nicely into the narrative. :/
-Even though Jessie annoys me, Biggs is kind of okay but he comes off to me as a little cliche. Wedge is kind of a little nicer.
-Aww, they took out the pickpocket on the train during the ID scan. That would have been a lot harder to deal with, but yeah.
-Good lord they stretched out these areas.
-Completely lost in this lamp and platform maze, but after a long time I finally figure out how to get out even with the items.
-Another maze and more reactor context change.
-Robot change where you can screw it over. That’s interesting.
-Yay Aerith!
-Dang Reno. You hard.
-OMG stupid ghosts get out of the way. I bet I have to trek all this way back to get this materia.
-This church is now also a crazy rat maze.
-Now onto roof rat maze.
-Ugh, why do I have to take the long way just to avoid Rude?
-Let me explore the town!
-Cloud and Aerith are way more helpful in this game. The kids have a secret hide out. Cool, I guess.
-Chadley is seriously simultaneously frustrating and useful.
-Yay I can go back and get crap from the church.
-Okay, so sneak out. Why tf is there a pot right outside my room that I can’t see?
-Okay, so there’s Aerith. We have a secret tunnel-ish. So many ladders. So much up and down.
-Out of that maze and yay they kept that scene where Aerith brings up Zack. Still not sure I’m liking all the foreshadowing cuz this was a spoiler in the original game.
-Tifa looks nice in that outfit. Like in general in this game though. They gave her a pretty thoughtful makeover that like captures the essence of her original profile, but also with some added tweaks in style that I actually like better. Like she didn’t have those thigh highs before, but those are a nice touch. And instead of her mini skirt her skirt is actually a skort and is pleated. Plus like the better boob support.
-Good lord Wall Mart is so involved now. So many alleys. Get out of the way yo!
-Leslie seems kind of cool, but I’m not sure cuz he works for a creep.
-Ugh hussle of trying to figure out how to get in. This sponsorship thing is new. I guess Corneo got more exclusive in this game.
-I have to go to the coloseum? Ugh, why?
-This crowd is full of haters.
-Okay winning over the crowd....
-I have an extra battle? WTF is this BS. I almost wish it was the Turks making a surprise appearance. That seems like a silly stupid thing the original would have done.
-Obviously Cloud caught someone else’s attention.
-Yay! Finally dress up time.
-Awesome. I’m doing a bunch of quests now.
-Whoops I didn’t level up my materia all the way. I got most of them so it’s doing fine but just the medicine thing.
-I saw a lot of people complaining about Jules, but he wasn’t so bad? I just needed to remember the rhythm and what I was doing by saying it so I could keep track of the pattern.
-Ugh, Johnny where you taking me? I have to wait for someone not yet.
-Oh Aerith looks nice. I like her outfit.
-Okay time to dress up Cloud.
-Whoa, Folia is a honeybee? Teh shock.
-What is this mini-game? It’s hard to keep rhythm and sometimes I actually can’t see the queue. Why do you design a mini-game where you can’t see the thing clearly?
-Oh shit I missed a track because I didn’t want to sit there and keep playing a frustrating mini-game. D:
-Yay! At least I got the cute dress. But real talk I kind of miss the old way to dress up Cloud only cuz I would want to see what the different colored wigs look like, but that whole storyline is very trans insensitive. Or even drag insensitive, so I understand why they changed it.
-Andrea is kind of cool. I was worried they were going to make him into some kind of flaming stereotype, but actually although he definitely has some flare, he’s a pretty well balanced character and none of the characters really judge him for his personal choices. Although definitely some judgement for the stuff they make them do, but that’s fair because you’re being subjected to it. Good on Cloud for following along.
-Okay time to take down this fat loser. So how does this work? How do you know who he’ll choose?
-Wait does he just choose Cloud every time? That’s a little less fun. I liked dressing Cloud up as the prettiest princess so that you could get him picked.
-This bit of them threatening Corneo’s private parts is still one of my favorite things. It was teh shock when I saw it the first time back in the day and I still enjoy it now.
-Ugh, the sewer. Also a lot of denial. But ugh the sewer.
-My sister was right. The train graveyard is creepier.
-Oh crap I forgot to steal from Eligor. !@#$@#%
-Alright climb the pillar. This is kind of slightly more fun with the extra scenes from Reno and Rude.
-Whoa, they saved Wedge. Cuz he originally totally ate it. Like straight fell off the pillar several stories and was unresponsive.
-Biggs and Jessie still die. That’s fine. I actually feel less sorry for Jessie dying than I did with the original. :/ I think because they managed to actually make her irritating with how over the top they made her.
-Aerith and Marlene is so cute!
-Helicopter shots are annoying, but I like hearing Reno. It’s sad that Fujiwara Keiji died two days after this came out. This is like the last thing he did probably. But his voice fit Reno really well. I don’t think it fit Ardyn well. Ardyn I think deserved a lower register, but I think Square gave him the part probably because of his diagnosis cuz I think Ardyn’s in-game struggle in a sense reflected his real life trials in some way only in the game he became immortal. Real life not so much, but immortalized in a sense through these works. I wonder if Square would have wanted it to come out sooner so that maybe he could have played it himself a little bit before passing, but they had to push the date for quality and stuff.
-I don’t know why, but I really like looking at Reno’s open shirt. Like I think the way they did his abs are a bit different from Advent Children. I think his shirt is even open wider than in AC. *checks* Yeah, it is. AC it’s buttoned up toward the top and just the top one or two are left open. And okay for real Remake has his shirt open even more than even in the original. Nevermind him buttoning up more for AC, but like in original FF7 polygon Reno and original Nomura art Reno looks like it’s only unbuttoned to about mid-pecs. Remake Reno is like down to like the top of his stomach. I guess I can’t complain about the equal opportunity fan service.
-Tseng is actually done pretty well, but I keep looking at him cuz he just strikes me as odd.... Oh wait is it his hair? Is that a hair tie? I don’t think he had a hair tie before. I think we were just supposed to assume he had his hair slicked back and kept in place by gel or hair spray. Also his face is interesting cuz I think they tried to make him actually look Chinese, but I think he just turned out looking kind of like Tamaki Hiroshi. Oh and Suwabe-san!
-LOL Rude carrying Reno like a rag doll.
-And there goes the plate. Oh, no, Wedge. I guess he did die. But the kitties. ;o;
-Let me explore Wall Market! Ugh, fine.
-That Kyrie chick seems kind of a little annoying. I kind of want to let Barret hit her. But I’m probably biased because I had a hot mess of a flatmate with that name and she like didn’t clean up after herself and left dirty dishes in her room and like pushed it up against her roommate’s bed. >.> Like passing responsibility over them to someone else. And I think she maybe broke one of my cups? And like tried to use my stuff without asking? Maybe stole some stuff too but idk. And like worst of all was like she sold her car so she could get money because she couldn’t hold down a job and like needed money and instead of like you know paying rent and bills, she spent it on shoes and make up and left the receipt out for us to find.
-Wall Market is...different in the day time.
-All teh quests.
-Okay Kyrie is still kind of annoying and stupid when you talk with her one on one, but she at least seems better than my flatmate.
-Oh old lady is the Angel.
-Findin’ all the birds. It kind of strikes me that they added this in cuz of how much time it takes to get places and it’s kind of like XV and even the XIV MMO, but not. I guess it’s a staple now with their newer titles because of how grand they make the scenery.
-Down in the sewer again....
-I just really wanna find Corneo’s stash.
-OMG I got a chase this little asshole now.
-Okay so now Leslie. Leslie is a good guy after all. Not a bad new character too. Nice decent development and stuff.
-But gdi Corneo’s still alive. I mean, I knew that cuz Wutai, but ugh.... I think he deserved at least a punch in the face.
-Okay so anyway I guess I’m going up now. Just going to finish up stuff before I go past the point of no return. Get all teh things I can from the coliseum and all that.
-Climbing, climbing. Oops I missed a thing. Was I supposed to?
-Gdi this helicopter thinger is annoying. I can’t slash any boxes. Just kick them around.
-Okay done so I guess I’m going in.
-...Is this a parking lot?
-Oh okay so here’s the entrance.
-Shinra headquarters actually looks like a bigger version of Square Enix’s headquarters in Higashi Shinjuku. I’ve been there pretty recently and also like to cut through the office building to get to Artnia cuz I don’t want to walk all the way around. Decor and stuff and specifics are definitely different, but like the double tower U-shaped look with the walkway in the middle thing is very much how the building is in Shinjuku. Specifics with the stairs and escalators are also different, but kind of the same deal with some amount of ambient lighting at night time and the lobby and such is still mostly open in the evening for people who work late or want to pass through. Some of the doors being locked or like certain staircases and such being roped off are a thing as well. I just know this cuz I often go to Artnia around dinner time when I’m there, so it’s generally after hours already.
-I think even the parking lot situation might even be the same? I’m not sure because I usually take the subway and that let’s out into the mini mall downstairs, but parking if you go there and do that is like subterranean for sure and would be the first layer if it was on a plate.
-I mean, the HQ is also technically kind of on a plate also. Cuz the mini-mall is like below normal street level, but it’s like more cool with like a Lawson’s and restaurants. Coming up from the subway is also a lot similar POV-wise to coming up through grappling hook too in terms of perspective.
-Getting the key. Getting a glove on the way. This part is kind of cool. I always liked this part of the game in the original too and exploring an empty office.
-This is suspicious. I have to take a tour...?
-I guess this is interesting to learn about the company and stuff.
-Weird movie theater. Oh look a spoiler hallucination in the theater. It’s nice to see more of Sephiroth.
-Oh yeah the mayor. That’s a bit of a change that he’s secretly Avalanche. Whatever cool. Yay I got a weapon.
-I gotta do a battle simulator. Oh great I guess if I want items I have to sit here and do all the simulators.
-Oh look it’s Chadley. I have turn ins. Take my stuff.
-Okay so hike upstairs....oh shit they’re going in. Sneak slowly behind and like go around and explore stuff.
-Found the toilet. Haha. Tifa yells at Cloud if he goes in the wrong one. Good.
-This is a nice bathroom.
-Okay up in the vent.
-Interesting extra context and oh yeah Palmer saw Sephiroth.
-Hojo is more gross looking than I remember. Like piled on extra creep factor for him.
-Following into the lab. I guess I should be glad he wasn’t a dumbass and trying to mate Aerith with Red XIII.
-Interesting that it’s only now that they’re really making good use of Those Who Fight Further. I don’t think I’ve really heard it all that often before.
-Yay! Yamaguchi Kappei!
-This part getting serious with Sephiroth is appropriate, but kind of different with him starting to freak out.
-Oooh, Turks scene! It’s nice that they know they are fan favorites now and they put them in more scenes. I wish it would actually play their theme every time they show up like it used to. That’s what made them badass too.
-Aww, Aerith’s room.
-Interesting they are talking in Aerith’s room instead of getting captured and Aerith talking through the wall.
-Shinra science experiment...You’re probably not entirely wrong.
-Huh, wisdom from Red XIII. That’s different context.
-Wow, that’s different. Pointing out a different greater enemy so early. I guess it makes sense Aerith would know because of the whispers she hears, but also it kind of sucks the mystery of the progression of the original story.
-Dang, Sephiroth and Cloud confrontation-ish now? Not going to mysteriously take a body and stab the President?
-Oh joy another crazy rat maze.
-Hojo is definitely more gross than he used to be.
-Oh, nope. Just different order. There’s the trail of blood.
-Well, “blood”. Jenova blood is now apparently purple bubbling ooze.
-President Shinra is just hanging?! DISAPPOINTED. I liked it better when you just showed up and he had a giant sword in his back. Also wondering if you’d be blamed for it, but yeah, sword in the back!
-This is what you get for showing mercy. :/ Sword in back was better.
-Oh shut up already so Rufus can take over.
-Oh you get to watch the sword in the back.
-WTF. He’s not supposed to stab your party.
-Ghost things protecting fate is weird. But also I have some theories like the game is conscious that it’s a remake or something and for some reason they’re repeating history, but some things are different because people don’t do things in exactly the same way but certain things are fated to happen so they have to be preserved.
-Interesting that this game shows the cloaked figures going back and forth between Sephy. Kind of takes away the fun from years of debate on the subject about wtf is happening.
-And here’s Rufus. Still better than his Dad.
-I like that there’s more Turks footage than the original.
-Kind of nice that there’s more tender moments between Tifa and Cloud or rather we can experience them bonding more first hand.
-Did they make Wedge die in a different spot?
-Motorcycle bit is a bit different. Boss on motorcycle is kind of hard. Died once.
-I think it’s just cuz it’s a Remake that they added him here, but Sephiroth is at the end of the highway and I kind of think it sucks. :/ Cuz like it shouldn’t be like this.
-Why is Zack alive? Oh I think this is a flashback. Aww, this is supposed to be a hidden thing. ;o; Stop feeding them all the stuff. Let them find it.
-Whisper monsters...Okay this is just some kind of an AU. Like not really entirely a remake, but a different game in the same timeline cuz Sephy figured out somehow how to alter time and space. Aerith knows kind of what’s up because she became god essentially during AC. Would also explain why the game itself is giving away so many damn spoilers too.
-Holy shit, is Zack dead or not? D:
-Okay I looked up a thing and it said his death is ambiguous, but he’s never seen. Zack was an actual SOLDIER too so he could be a cloaked guy for all we know. But also at the end of AC it was both him and Aerith chilling together welcoming people to the lifestream so who the hell knows what she did.
-Biggs is alive?!
-So okay, if this is an AU things can change and I’m less gripey about the weird things that happened. Cuz it’s like just another pinpoint on the timeline that kind of has pseudo time travel and when you repeat things over again they’re not always exactly the same. I suppose for Square itself it’d be kind of boring to make an actual Remake because they don’t want to take away from the original and they want people to still buy that too cuz it was so good even though the graphics didn’t age so well. Instead they slapped Remake on a new title and trolled us all into thinking they actually did it when actually it’s like a timey wimey thing.

I saw a Kingdom Hearts concert today.  It’s funny, because I wasn’t expecting to go to it at all.  My friends had asked me many months back if I could, but I didn’t have money at the time because I was low in funds and I refused to let them buy it for me so I could pay them back later (which wasn’t foreseeable to me).  Apparently my friend’s brother couldn’t make it, so he asked me last minute today if I wanted to see it.  I did.  And so I went into the city and watched it with my good friends.
It was breathtaking.  Yoko never ceases to amaze me with her beautiful music and KH is truly her tour de force.  I was spoiled on KH3, but I didn’t have enough investment to really care all that much anymore.  The series burned me out a long time ago when they refused to make the third game for all of these damn spin-offs that you HAVE to play.  Either way, I enjoyed it and loved the whole symphony.
I hated when it was over.  Because then I returned to the real world.  My reality.  My awful and garbage rock bottom that I’ve found myself in these past few months.  Actually, that’s not true.  I’ve felt worse now than I have months before.  I’m just...there.  I feel so hollow and emotionless now.  I’m like a zombie.  The concert was enough to make me feel again, but after that I just flat-lined.
My friend asked me what I’ve been up to, since I haven’t been in contact with them all that much and haven’t seen them in a while.  He’s really one of the few friends that actually cares and asks if people are all right.  He truly is my best friend and I wouldn’t change him for anything else.  I don’t talk to them because I didn’t want them knowing about my situations these past few months.  Although, I did tell them that my relationship is gone now and they were (more or less) supportive...marginally (understandably so considering how I treated her, though).  I did tell him that these last few months were pretty shit, especially after the break-up.  He said that if I needed to talk to him, I could.  His Uber, as if right on time after he said that, came by and picked him up.  We parted ways and I walked to the subway.
Waiting for the A train was hell...three trains came by going uptown, the exact opposite of where I needed to go.  I think I waited about 15-20 minutes for my downtown train to come, listening to some Led Zeppelin on the way with my Turtle Beach headphones because I need something to drown out my inner thoughts and think about anything else but her and how awful I was to her.
Needless to say, it didn’t help.
After a long train ride, I made it to Times Square hoping that the shuttles were still active.  They weren’t.  So, I walked out to Times Square and decided to walk back to Grand Central.  I walked out and saw a family doing the Orange Justice dance.  A part of me felt disgusted (I hate Fortnite), but my hollow nature simply acknowledged it and walked off.  I saw a bunch of posters for the show “Euphoria” starring Zendaya.  I remember seeing a bunch of commercials for it and it looked depressing but real as hell.  Considering that the posters showed Zendaya looking off in the distance, with a purple hue over her face, and a sparkled trail of a tear going down the side of her cheek, I assumed it was about wanting to feel something, to be loved.  I couldn’t help but understand that all too well, considering the present circumstances.
The tag line?  “Feel something.”
On my way down to Grand Central, blasting “I Want To Break Free” by Queen, I saw a huge group of girls (I mean like school field trip huge, like two whole classrooms worth) walking down the street cheering at anything and everything.  High school age, most of them appeared to be.  I couldn’t tell because I was behind the band of them, and I didn’t care.  I figured that since I had time to kill, I decided to stop by McDonald’s and have some food.
I didn’t get to eat anything for most of the day leading from the time I left the house and to where I was now (about 7 hours).  Two homeless men were standing outside the McDonald’s, one on each side of the double doors.  One of them opened the door for me.  I was feeling depressed and I thought that maybe by trying to make myself feel better or less of a shitty person, I gave some loose change that was in my pocket to the man that opened the door for me.  It was a bunch of pennies and a dime, I think.  After I went in, though, I felt bad for the other guy that was standing opposite to him (though I wasn’t sure if maybe he was talking to the guy as a normal person or he really was homeless, but looking at his Dunkin’ Donuts cup, he most likely was to me at that point).  I looked back at him and pointed at my wallet and then at him.  He nods.  I go back outside and give him the rest of my loose change.  I gave him a few pennies and several quarters.  It was imbalanced charity and I felt worse that I gave one guy more money than the other, the one that was nice enough to hold the door open for me.  But, I didn’t care anymore.  The damage was done.
As I was standing on the line, mistakenly blasting “Lovers Rock” by Sade and trying so hard not to think, I saw a group of people being drunk as shit talking and laughing loudly with each other.  That’s what the headphones were for, as far as I’m concerned.  Besides, I had my own problems going on.  They took a while to get their orders in, but I managed to get mine and waited as the drunk people left and it was just the other people that were quietly waiting on line or at the food pickup like me, and my music.  I picked up my food and walked back to Grand Central.
Once I got inside, I was walking through to the center (where the giant star map is on the roof) and saw a few people calling to a guy named “Francisco” and (most likely) wanted him to come with them to get tickets at the ticket machine.  He turns and looks at them, having glasses, long black hair, and I believe a Filipino look to him (I’m not good with physical looks by nationality) and points up to the star map.  Didn’t even say a word and they said “Oh, okay.”  I guess he liked looking at the star map?  I don’t know.  I walked past the information booth smack dab in the center of the terminal, a group of black women asking for information on their tickets I assumed.  I walked past a couple of MTA workers hanging outside the entrances to the Metro North platforms, one of them saying to the other “keep that shit out of” something.  I assumed the work place, I wasn’t sure.
After taking my seat, I thought about writing this.  I thought why I should, what the point of it was.  Was it supposed to have some great meaning to it?  Was it trying to paint myself as this tortured soul that couldn’t find emotion or “feel something?”  Was I just people watching and realizing just how kooky this city can be?  I wasn’t sure, but I felt like writing it anyway because I felt like it.  Maybe it was all of it.
As I started to eat my McDonald’s, two men (who I had assumed were a bit drunk or at least were mildly obnoxious like my friends are) took a few seats nearby and were chatting.  One of them said “[blank], welcome to the Metro North.” First time going on, surprisingly.  He asked the other what he should text to his friend, whom I assumed was trying to check in on them.  The other said “I ain’t no bitch walking,” his friend repeating the line and sending it on his phone.
The man that sent the text pulls something out of his bag, looking like a bagel or something (I wasn’t spying, I just caught them doing stuff every time that I looked up).  He said that he was afraid that the bagel or baked thing was “upselled” to him, like he was cheated with a cheap piece of food.  It did look cheap, honestly.  He takes a bite and it takes him a moment and he says it “tastes exactly like what he ordered.”
After I finished eating, I pulled out my Switch and started playing Smash to avoid wasting battery life on my phone.  I played until I got off the train.  The two men were pretty passed out, but one of them woke up as I made my way down the car and to the train door.  He asked if I dropped some sunglasses, where I turned and looked to see a pair of sunglasses on the floor near where I was sitting.  I didn’t bring any, so I said “No.  Thanks.”  I got off, drove home, and ended up here.
I don’t know why I wrote this.  I’m not trying to put meaning behind this.  Maybe I’m writing it to show how empty I felt the whole time, how emotionless I’ve become.  Maybe I’m writing it because, in some ways, I do love this city.  It can be crazy and with its quirks, but it’s enjoyable.  And I might not see it again if I land a job in California.  Or, like I said, maybe it’s both.  Maybe I just enjoy writing and describing the lives of others, lives that seem much more interesting and worth while than mine.
I don’t know.
I don’t know anymore.

Christmas Party - An Alfie Solomon’s Imagine
Requested: yes
Pairings: Alfie Solomon’s x reader
Warnings: naked Alfie, kinda heated at the end ? But not really cause I can’t write that
{festive prompt 13- “do all your Christmas parties include nudity? Or is this just a special treat” Alfie Solomon’s}
(Gif from @kinghardy)
Tumblr media
I was going to make y/n the nude partier but for some reason my brain went a different route, I have no idea what this is. And If anyone wants an alternative fic where y/n is the nude partier then Just let me know.
~ Enjoy x 💕
No one was more shocked than you, to find out that the big, bad, scary, and not to mention Jewish-  Alfie Solomon’s, hosted annual Christmas parties.
And it wasn’t a small gathering either. Part of you thinks he uses them mainly for business, what with inviting clients and rivals alike, but another part thinks that Alfie really does enjoy it. He likes the flashy lights and fancy drinks, he likes the smart clothes and happy guests. Even if he does keep his involvement fairly minimal.
It’s a whole other side of Alfie, and it’s one that you enjoyed seeing.
And one that you were currently being held up from seeing.
While you helped out with Alfie’s business predominantly, you still liked to have a small normal job, so you worked a few days a week in an actual bakery.
At first you took the job just to mess with Alfie, but you liked cooking new treats and dealing with money and meeting customers, so you kept it.
What you didn’t enjoy was your grumpy boss holding you back from Alfie’s Christmas party.
“Sir, I’ve already been here for two hours longer than I’m supposed to. My boyfriend is holding his Christmas party tonight “ You explained, slowly starting to pack up your things.
“I thought your boyfriend was Jewish” he pointed out, eyes squinted as though he was catching you out on some massive lie.
“He is, its just more of a seasonal business thing I guess” you smiled before pausing “...although that is a very good point sir, maybe I’ll ask him about it later. Hey! You’re Jewish right? Do you never have Christmas parties? I mean you have us selling Christmas treats so maybe-“
“Y/n” he sighed, already shutting off he lights.
“Just go be with your boyfriend.... and I hope for his sake he’s already drunk”
You didn’t have time to be offended, you quickly ran to Alfie’s house to get changed before calling Ollie for a car.
Even after months of being together, Alfie still had your safety as his top priority. In fact the longer you’re together, the worse he gets.
But you didn’t mind too much, not when it was small things like him insisted you are driven to gatherings once it gets late.
Soon enough you were brought to a building you didn’t even know existed and were met by Ollie who was stood by the door.
“Hey Ollie!” You wrapped him in a hug,  crinkling your nose and the present scent of alcohol.
He chuckled, noticing your expression.
“Yeah about that, you should see Alfie”
He headed up the steps towards the entrance, you hiked up your dress skirts and ran after him, careful not to break your neck in the process.
“What do you mean?” You asked, stepping with him inside.
You were greeted by the overwhelming scent of sweet and bitter alcohol mixing in the air, sped up by the breaths of smoke.
It didn’t look too Christmas themed, there were a few gently glowing lights around the room but for the most part It was simply a big mingling.
You wondered if that was because of Alfie’s religion, not that you ever judged or resented him for being slightly wary when it came to celebrating Christmas.
Your eyes scanned the room, seeing a few familiar faces and a lot of strangers.
You got a couple nods, and fewer waves and you could hear the whispered introductions of people announcing you as ‘Alfie’s girl’ not that you minded that title.
But as you looked over the sea of people, you couldn’t help but notice one major absence.
“Um Ollie?” You were still stood by the door, the slight draft If was emitting causing your hair to stand on end, your hands running over your arms.
“Yes miss y/l/n?”
“Where is Alfie?”
He nodded for you to follow him, so you did.
“The party actually started a few hours earlier this year, meaning it’s been in full swing for quite some time and- well he’s a little bit pissed y/n” he told you as you made your way through the hall and disappeared down a corridor.
“Drunk? I thought he uses this as business? You know gets clients and rivals all drunk and festive so they blabber “ you remembered some of what Alfie had told you and some of what you and worked out yourself.
“Exactly, but he was feeling particularly jolly today and so he has shut himself away until you arrived to ensure it isn’t he who ends up blabbing about business”
Ollie stopped in front of a door, raising a hand to indicate that this was the very one your boyfriend was behind.
“You aren’t coming in?”
Ollie paled.
“Just get him dressed and bring him out”
With that he was gone, turning and walking down the dimly lit corridor.
You nodded before freezing.
“Wait what? Ollie why would I dress him!”
When no answer came you realised the only way to find out is to go in.
By the looks of the building it used to be a house, meaning this was most likely some kind of study, your suspicious were proven correct as you cracked opened the door slightly and peered inside to see a grand desk and a deep velvet sofa and-
“Hey! You, pervert!”
You heard Alfie yell, heavy but soft footsteps approaching  the door.
And then you were met with Alfie, his eyes softening as they looked upon you.
Your own eyes trailing down his bare broad shoulders, to his smooth chest, his rather pronounced hip bones, the curve of his-
“Alright love, eyes up ‘ere though Yeah “
He smirked, turning and walking back into the room.
You of course watched him walk away, his toned back and muscular shoulders grabbing your attention, the gently sway of his hips as he walked was captivating.
“So,” You shut the door behind you
“Do all your Christmas parties include nudity? Or is this just a special treat” you smirked when he shrugged, head leaning over to a pile of clothes.
“Spilt stuff over ‘em didn’t I” he shook his head himself.
“Tell you what, sobers You Right up that does” he chuckled
“Standing fucking bare in some strange house “ he laughed at himself, the sound making you feel more festive than any cake or Christmas light could.
“Did you at least lock the door?” You asked him, your hand finding his as you stared at the lock on the door.
He looked at your linked hands, then back up at the door.
“Fuck me love, I didn’t even know it ‘ad one. Genius you are” He walked over, locking the door before he returned, naked figure looming over you.
“Alf, why did you lock it? I thought we were going out to the party?” You asked, voice catching in your throat when Alfie pulled you up, his lips attaching themselves to your neck hungrily.
“You look so beautiful you do love “ he mumbled against the skin, in between bites.
You flushed, bringing your hand to the back of his head, scratching your nails against his scalp in a way you knew drove him crazy before pulling his head up to meet yours, lips joining.
He was quick to part your lips and slip his tongue between them, the kiss turning sweet from the lingering alcohol.
He pushed you back til you fell against the sofa, his body immediately covering yours, so close you doubted there was any air left between you.
His hands traveled down your chest, and torso until they arrived at your waist, and he started bunching the material of your dress up.
“Didn’t realise this was a naked Christmas party” you smirked at him, looking up at him with your flushed cheeks and swollen lips, in a way which had him hot and dizzy.
“Got to get you with the programme love, ain’t we” he grinned back, pecking your lips before returning to hiking up your dress skirts.
“I sure do hope this didn’t  happen every year“ you told him sternly, the implication of him with other girls, even when coming from you, made your blood boil and your eyes burn.
“No, you’re just too beautiful love, can’t hrlp myself can I” he grunted hating the thought of any girl who wasn’t you.
You smiled, bringing him back in for a kiss, this one sweeter than the rest, slow and un-rushed.. meaningful.
“It better happen from now on though”  you grinned at his noise of agreement, before going back to kissing him.

The Stars Where You Are - Chapter 1 Part 2
Prologue | Ch.1 Pt.1 | Ch.1 Pt.2
(2110 words)
...
Continuation of Chap. 1
...
Many hours and breaks later, Ash had finally spotted the cave. The hike was harder than I expected, full of heavy forestation and rocks. So many rocks. Ash was barely breathing differently when she called for us to stop. Keaton and I on the other hand, well, we are a mess.
“Guys! I think I found it!” Hidden behind tall trees and thick brush, the cave was not easy to spot. It had already been an arduous and tiring hike, but being able to see the end made it easier to clamber over the fallen trees and boulders. No wonder people think elves live here. No normal human could regularly make this walk.
The cold wind whipped our capes around. Directly outside of the cave was just as the old priest described. A large boulder sat five feet from the opening of the cave, and the cave itself was about seven feet tall. A rose bush sat to the left of the opening  and a large and old oak was on it’s right. The trees and moon cast shadows across the opening of the cave. A cold feeling washed over me. The hair on the back of my neck stands up like we are being watched. But every time I look around, no matter how hard I try and focus in the moonlight, I see nothing. Only trees.
“This is it! The entrance to Achalla!” I exclaim, pushing away the dark feeling of being watched. I replace it with excitement. We have finally made it! And whether or not Achalla is really in here, at least I’ll have a good story to tell. In my excitement I lose all sense of pain and tire. Only energy fills my veins now.
I run up to the rose bush, careful not to hurt myself on the thorns. I also avoid picking the flowers. Who knows, an ancient elf guardian might protect this specific rose bush. Whenever I look into the cave all I can think of are those dream-like amethyst eyes staring back at me. It was like the cave held them and could bring them into my memory with a simple breeze. Will they be waiting for me inside? Are there true elves in the cave that sits so peacefully in front of me? My heart skips a beat at the thought of moon elves living just ahead of my feet.
Before I appear crazy, I stop staring into the dark vacant cave. Instead I turn around to face my friends.
Ashley examines the bottom of her cape, which is now stained with mud. Keaton stands next to her, out of breath.
“You sure?” Keaton asked, wiping the sweat gathering on his forehead. My eyes quickly flicker around me. Boulder, rose bush, oak. This is definitely it.
“Yup! I say we go in and check it out!” I conclude. It was the obvious option at this point. Why would we come out here just to turn around and go back home?  Keaton looks around nervously, eyeing the woods. He must feel the same feeling I did. He must think we are being watched just as I did moments ago.
"I swear if you took us all the way out here for nothing I'm going to be really angry," Ash muttered.
“You can’t fool me! I know you love a good adventure!” I’ve known Ash for far too long to believe that she wasn’t enjoying herself in even the slightest. “Let’s go!”
I march confidently towards the cave. No light came from inside. Only a very soft breeze. That doesn’t tell us anything. It doesn’t confirm nor deny anything. There were no obvious signs on the outside or near the front portion of the cave that could tell us whether or not there were moon elves in the cave.
"It's kind of dark in there, Finn." Keaton stated. "Should we get a torch or something?"
"We don’t have one and it will take far too long to find the stuff for one. We'll be fine!" I assure. Sure, there didn’t appear to be any light source in the cave, but we’ll be fine. And with that, I enter the cave in which I had no real evidence to prove that there was anything in here. The sounds of crunching sticks behind me tell me that Keaton and Ash follow.
They stay close to me, practically touching shoulders the entire time. To be fair, I kept close to them too. It was the only way would could walk without losing each other.
The further we get into the cave cave, the colder it gets. It was first slightly chilly but nothing we couldn’t handle. Now it is freezing. I pull my cloak close to my skin in an attempt to get any heat possible out of it. And the colder it gets, the darker it gets. Before the light in the cave fully dies off, I can see my breath sticking around my face. It is cold enough for my breath to turn into a cloud.
"Hey, watch it Keaton!" Ashley hisses, breaking the silence.
“Sorry,” Keaton whimpers back. The cold dry air became moist. It now tastes of mold and moss. "Finn, I don't think there is anything in here." Keaton says shyly, watching as what little light they had from the moon outside disappeared.
"Just give it a little longer." We were now in complete darkness. The frigid air sets itself deep in my bones. The chill would not disappear, no matter how close I pull my cloak. Ash starts to speak again before I cut her off.
"I don't know about you but-"
"Be quiet!" I stop mid step, throwing an arm out to stop Ash and Keaton from walking in front of me. Something moved. Something or someone ran past us. I could hear it. Despite the complete darkness, I could see it. The brief movement is enough to convince me that we aren’t alone. Whatever it is, it is light on it’s feet.
Another movement! This time close enough that I can almost feel the disturbance in the air. I start to back up to go back to light. Maybe we can make a torch or something. See what lives in here. It’s too quick to be a bear. What is it? Elves?
Before I can answer my own question, my back hits something wet and squishy. Like a mold. A short-lived scream fills the cave as the plants on the cave walls lit up after coming into contact with my back. The mushroom-like plants lit the area up with a purple tint, causing a chain of plants to light up. Spiraling down the rock walls, the area started to light up even more. The walls were covered in the plants. It was like a bunch of purple stars had grown out of the sides of the cave. They seemed to be beckoning any traveler who dared enter closer. Deeper into the dark lit only by a purple tint.
No one said anything. Too afraid or in awe? I couldn’t tell.
For me I could confirm my silence was from pure excitement. No one can convince me that this place isn’t magical. There have got to be elves in here! This is proof! Nowhere does this just appear naturally! No human has ever discovered something as beautiful as this! This, this is a sign that magic exists. My heart explodes at this discovery. It beats at a pace that is unhealthy.
“What in skies are these?” Keaton asked, reaching out to touch one of the plants beside me. The amazement was clear in his eyes. He was just as excited as I was, but was holding it back. It showed in his face.
The long plants mimicked the parasol mushrooms that grew just outside the castle walls. But these were purple and pink-like whereas the parasol mushrooms that grow outside the castle are white. Sometimes brown.
“They are a sign,” I whisper with a smile. After all these years, I just might get to see another elf.
“A bad one,” Ash grabs the back of my collar and pulls me away from the walls. “Don’t touch them, Keaton. They could be toxic.” Leave it to Ash to take the fun out of anything. Even if the mushroom-like things were toxic, we could at least see where we are walking. It isn’t all that bad.
She leaves me in the middle of the long cave hall and steps forward to inspect the mushrooms for herself.
“How do they glow?” Ash sounds more concerned than curious. There were thousands, maybe even millions of the light up shrooms covering every inch of the cave walls. It was amazing. Each was a unique shade of red, pink, or purple. Most were in the magenta or lilac range.
“I don’t know, but I am sure it is not the works of humans.” Keaton looks around. As they continue to talk about the plants growing around us, I train my eyes on the split in the cave. So far the cave has been like a long hallway, but never appeared to split at any point. Now, at the beginning of the light up mushrooms, there is a fork.
Two possible paths. Both are lit up. Both appear the same. The left seemed promising, less large rocks, a smoother path, and plenty of light up shrooms. But as I turn to assess the right path, a shadowy figure passes through it. Out of the corner of my eyes I see it. Almost human-like, standing on what I assume is two legs. An elf. I am sure of it. It was gone just as soon as it was there.
It must be the same one I just saw. Is it trying to lead me somewhere? To the hidden land of Achalla?
My legs start to move forward, towards the path of the right. It was the path I am supposed to take. I can tell. If it is an elf, this has to be the way to Achalla. I just have to know. Whether I find out living elves are just a legend like Ash says or if I find the grand kingdom of Achalla like Keaton wants, I need to know.
Without realizing it, I had started to run. The shadowy figure appears once or twice more, motivating me to keep running. To keep the light I need to not trip, I skim my hand along the wall of mushrooms. With each graze a new ring of mushroom lights up. Without much thought, I jump over large rocks, take sharp turns, and avoid all the obstacles. Behind me I can hear the faint shouts of what I assume is Ash but they don’t stop me. It’s like I’ve been possessed by my own wants.
The mushrooms became more sparse and it wasn’t long before they disappeared from the walls.
“Finn! Wait up!” Ashley is loud in the cave. I don’t slow, even for her. Deep in my heart I know what I am chasing. I know that somewhere ahead of me lies a creature I’ve been told me entire life is long dead.
It becomes harder to breathe the longer I run. I can’t help but slow down from stomach aches that started somewhere in the fifth minute I had been running. Soon, I topple over myself, landing a spot on the ground. Ash and Keaton don’t take long to catch up.
“What in the world were you thinking?!” Is all Ash manages to scream. Her voice was hoarse and I know it’s from yelling at me while running. Neither help me to my feet, as they are both wildly out of breath. As they catch their breath, the mushroom lights go out one-by-one. We are plunged into darkness yet again. This time even deeper inside the cave.
A quiet curse comes from Ash as she tries to pick me up. I don’t make an attempt to stand up. Like before I started to run, I am far more focused on something new.
A soft purple light, floating in the dark abyss of the cave ahead of us. Once I saw it, Ash and Keaton saw it. The soft purple light floated towards us carelessly. A single soft light turned into two, then four, then six. As the six lights got closer, I could tell that they were in fact from the shadowy figure I had been chasing. But instead of one person, there are six. And they were surrounding us.
The last thing I hear is Ash unsheathing her sword before everything goes black.

I Didnt Ask For This (Chapter 26)
*9 months later*
P.o.v Rocky
Rydel, Riker, and I have been married now for nearly two months and everything has been amazing! Rydel is one and a half months pregnant. In all honesty though I just wish Ryland were here to celebrate with us because I haven't seen him since before I left with mom to buy the rings for Rydel and Riker. I was told by Riker and Rydel When mom and I got back that While we were gone, Ryland stormed into the house, packed his things and then left without saying a word to anyone, although about a week or so later he finally called the house, said he was okay and that he would call, two to three times a week to update us on how he is doing. Although he specifically asked not to let Ellington contact him unless he asks to speak to him. At first it took me a while to figure out why but then I remembered that one conversation I had with Ellington after a long period of not having seen him. He told me that he was gay and in love with Ryland. Ellington Had told Ryland how he felt about him and then Ryland of course decided to deal with it the way he deals with anything involving feelings. he runs away." It was at that moment that I realized that it was Ellington's fault that my little brother ran away to live in New York city. Although I of course am not mad at Ellington for this because how was he supposed to know that Ryland was going to run away like that when he had confessed his love for him.
P.o.v Ryland
it has been nine, heading on ten months now since I moved to New York City and I've been doing quite well believe it or not... I mean the first two months were a bit rough considering I was living off of what I made from being a waiter at planet hollywood in Times Square, but I now have a steady job of being the Dj for a club near my apartment that I am currently renting. Part of me wants to go back to L.A to visit my family for a bit but I don't know if I can face Ellington just yet. I mean I know it may have seemed a bit irrational to just run away to New York like that but if i'm being honest, it's more than just the fact that Ellington had, and maybe even still has feelings for me. It's the fact that not only am i confused about my feelings for him but I am also quite confused about a bunch of other things, such as, who I really am, and what I really want to do with the rest of my life. I just want to figure out what I want in life before I see Ellington again because I don't want him to influence my decision too highly.
P.o.v Ellington
It has now been nearly 10 months since I told Ryland how I felt about him which caused him to leave. I am just so thankful that the others aren't mad at me for what I did because it is completely my fault that he left. I mean, i get that it's my feelings and I can't help who I fall for but my mind keeps convincing me that what I did was a bad thing because if I had just kept my mouth shut, Ryland would still be here and everything would have just stayed normal. the thought of that haunts me every single day and night. In Fact, the last time I had a decent sleep was when he was still here. I don't even care at this point whether he wants to be with me or not, I just want him to be here, where I know for a fact that he is safe. It was at that moment that I realized that I was crying for the sixth time that day.
P.o.v Riker
Ellington has been taking it really hard that Ryland left. In fact I'm positive that he is taking it harder than the rest of us did. at first I wasn't really sure what was going on and why Ellington was so upset about this but then once Rocky realized what was going on, he told me and I feel really bad for Ellington now. He just mopes around, all depressed and sometimes I hear him cry in pain at night. in fact everyone hears it but only Rocky and I know what is really happening. Rocky and I have tried to convince him to stop cutting but nothing has worked. We even tried calling Ryland, asking him to come back but he would just say he isn't ready to come back yet. I just wish there was something we could do to get Ellington to stop cutting and be happy again.
P.o.v Ryland
I am currently sitting on the couch in my apartment just thinking about my situation and what I should do. it was Right then that I knew what I had to do. with that I start to pack my clothes so that all I have to pack tomorrow is a couple last minute things. After I finished packing my clothes, the rest of the day seems to drag on but finally it becomes a decent time to go to bed.
*The next morning*
I get up, grab my laptop and buy a one way ticket for the soonest flight to L.A. I leave at noon and it's 7:00AM now meaning I have to leave in like two hours for the New York airport.
*on the plane*
I can't believe I'm doing this! I'm actually going to go home to face my family again for the first time in about 10 months. The greatest but most nerve wracking part about that though is that I get to see everyone again! I get to see Ellington again. I haven't been able to stop thinking about him since I left L.A almost 10 months ago. I know it was kind of stupid to wait this long to go back if I basically knew that I loved him all this time. I understand that now and part of me regrets leaving but I am also somewhat glad that I left because had I stayed I probably wouldn't know that I am in love with him because I wouldn't of had to go through the heartache that I did in order to realize my feelings. Before I got on the plane I told Rocky to come pick me up from the airport because I was finally going to come home and I told him my plan. I would wait with Rocky in the back yard by the pool and then Rocky would text Riker to bring Ellington outside to the back yard and then I would take it from there. I was then pulled from my thoughts by the intercom. we were just told that we would be landing in L.A now.
*after getting off the plane to meet with Rocky*
we were headed to the car with my stuff when Rocky spoke. "Are you sure you're ready to see Ellington and tell him how you feel?" concern filling his voice. "why? does he not have feelings for me anymore?" i asked scared to actually know the answer to that question. "no no, it's not that at all!" he reassured me.  "okay, then what is it?" i asked "I don't know. I just wanted to make sure you still felt that way about him, that's all." he responded.  "yes! are you crazy! he is all that I could think about while I was gone these past nine months! I tried so hard in the beginning to convince myself that everything would be okay if I came back ,but part of me knew it would be best to wait it out." i said "it's funny that you say that..." Rocky replied. "what!?!" I said with my voice now full of panic "oh nothing..."  Rocky said avoiding the topic of conversation. "Rocky!" i said in a warning tone. "Ryland!" he said mocking me. "No Rocky! I'm serious! What aren't you telling me?" i practically yelled as my throat began to swell and the tears began to build up in my eyes at the thought that it has something to do with Ellington. This fight then continued until we drove into the laneway. Then finally Rocky gave in. "you know what, fine! Just please don't hate Ellington for this, he's been through a lot." Rocky said barely above a whisper. "why? is he okay" i asked, nearly dying inside. "When you left for New York nine months ago... Ellington started harming himself. It wasn't long after that Riker and I found out about it and we have tried to find a way to convince him to stop. Believe me, but what he told me really hurt. He said that the pain he felt from you leaving made the pain from the knife feel like a sense of relief" he said and at that point we were both on the verge of tears. Rocky then texted Riker to Bring Ellington to the Back yard. we waited a couple minutes until Rocky got a text from Riker apparently still asking why this was happening and we took that as a signal that they were Ready. Rocky and I then came to the gate into the backyard and thats when I saw Ellington. His back facing to me as he talked to Riker. "Ellington... I saod breathlessly. with That he turned around and before he even got the chance to speak I dropped my bags, ran into his arms and I kissed him with so much passion that we felt like the only two people in the world.
*2 years later, just as they reach their honeymoon destination*
P.o.v Ellington
Ever since the beginning of our wedding reception earlier today I swear it has been really hard for Ryland and I to keep our hands off each other. I mean after all we went through starting nearly three years ago before we ended up together how could we be able to keep our hands off of each other. On the bright side, at least now we don't have to. As we made our way into the little cottage that we would be staying in on a private beach in grand turk, we could barely keep our hands to ourselves as we made it through the door. Ryland trailed little kisses all up my neck until he reached just under my earlobe. Then he whispered something I have been dying to hear all night. "I want to make love to you" this sending chills down my spine and I could also feel myself getting hard. As if he knew right then, he reached his arm around me from behind and ran his hand down my abs underneath my shirt painfully slow and lightly traced my V line. this causing my breath to hitch. He slowly brought his hand closer to my hard on slowly reaching his hand into my pants, and as he grasped it my breath hitched again. "Ryland... I need you" I whispered. without any further delay, we stripped ourselves and Ryland grabbed a condom putting it on himself. He then lined himself up with my entrance and without any warning he slammed into me. the funny thing is thought that I've heard that it usually hurts, the first time but all I felt was pleasure. Also if you are wondering, I am in fact a virgin... well I was until now... as he was thrusting into me he grabbed my throbbing cock and began pumping in time with his thrusts and after that it wasn't long until we collapsed and fell asleep in each others arms. "I love you Ellington" he said to me. "i love you too Ryland" I replied and in a matter of seconds we fell asleep in each others arms.
p.o.v no one
*One year later*
as it turns out, the first child of Rydel, Riker, and Rocky is biologically Riker's so they decided that if they were to have a second child that it should be biologically Rocky's. Riker's biological child is a beautiful baby girl named Reagan. Now Rydel is pregnant with a second child who not only was discovered to be biologically Rocky's child but the baby is also a boy. As soon as The three of them found out this news they were so happy. As far as Ryland And Ellington go they ended up adopting a 11 year old girl named Ainsley who loves her daddies very much.

Kendall Kylie Jenner NYC foursome plus Kim Kardashian easy cameo
With their boyfriends in tow, celebrity sister duo Kylie and Kendall Jenner enjoyed a full day of shopping together.
On Tuesday, Kylie and Kendall were seen shopping around New York City alongside their boyfriends Tyga and A$AP Rocky, respectively. All four of the young stars were spotted laughing and smiling, as they hit up some of New York’s most popular retail hot spots.
While Kylie and Tyga have been an item for several years now, things have just started heating up between Kendall and her rumored beau, rapper A$AP Rocky. Although the supermodel has not yet confirmed the speculated romance, this latest shopping date further fueled the relationship rumors that have been plaguing her and Rocky for the past couple of weeks.
According to an eyewitness, Kendall even helped A$AP Rocky pick out some bling while in the jewelry retailer, Rafaello $ Co. The source told the media, “[Kendall and A$AP Rocky] were helping each other pick stuff out…Kendall also got fitted for a pair of gloves they’re working on for her.”
2017 is certainly looking to be a good year for the Jenner sisters!
Those Kardashians are a resilient bounce back from tragedy bunch, and Kim Kardashian is willing to relive her Paris robbery for some Ocean’s Eight money and exposure.
Kim Kardashian finally came out of hiding after her terrifying jewelry robbery in Paris — ironically to film a scene involving a jewelry heist in the upcoming star-studded movie “Ocean’s Eight.”
The film’s been shooting at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for days, with a spate of star cameos to re-create the Met Gala for a dramatic heist scene. Kardashian was seen headed to the set with Kendall Jenner on Monday. Sources say the Met Gala scene involves the theft of a high-end necklace in a museum bathroom.
Sources confirmed Kim is in the film, although it’s not clear if she’s a victim or a famous face in the crowd. The movie’s main cast includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson and Mindy Kaling.
Kardashian has described how she feared she would be shot during last October’s robbery in Paris, during which thieves tied her up and threw her into a bathtub, then took over $10 million in jewelry. The ordeal left her so traumatized, she disappeared from social media for three months and canceled a series of personal appearances. She even gave up wearing jewelry.
But, on Monday, in one of her first public appearances since the robbery, Kim was back in a gown to film the scene in which the all-female cast pulls off an audacious jewelry raid.
An insider mused, “We were surprised Kim showed up for filming. She had seemed totally traumatized by her Paris robbery. But then she’ll still appear in a movie that glamorizes a jewelry heist.” Kim’s rep confirmed she has a cameo in the movie but declined to comment further.
We hear further cameos were being made in the movie’s Met Gala scene on Tuesday by Zayn Malik, Hailey Baldwin, Matt Harvey, Maria Sharapova, Olivia Munn, Tyga, the Winklevoss twins, and designers Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, Dennis Basso and Jason Wu. High-end jeweler Cartier is on-set dressing VIPs. The film also includes a cameo by Anna Wintour.
With Super Bowl LI less than a month away, more and more details about the highly anticipated half time show are being leaked to the press.
Early this week, news publication People reported some surprising details about what pop star Lady Gaga, who is the star performer at this year’s Super Bowl, is planning to do during her half time set. Insiders told the media outlet that Lady Gaga is planning a notably dangerous entrance into the stadium. According to one source, Gaga is planning to sing at the top of the NRG Stadium’s dome in Houston during her performance. While her team is reportedly “worried” about the technical and safety aspects of her unprecedented performance plans, Gaga is reportedly “all for” pushing the limits and wants to make sure her half time show is nothing like fans and viewers have seen before.
A source close to Gaga further elaborated on the star’s ambitious half time plans to People, explaining, “They’re writing up multiple plans about how to safely get [Gaga] on the roof, including potentially [cutting] a hole in the ceiling of the dome.” The source went on to reveal that event organizers are even looking at the possibility of “airlifting” the Joanne songstress onto the top of the stadium, which currently has a see-through retractable “fabric roof” that can be completely opened in just over 5 minutes.
With only a few weeks of rehearsal left, Gaga is reportedly hoping to pull off the whole charade live. However, numerous members of the organizing team are hoping to convince her to pre-tape her grand entrance so that they can just show it as a pre-taped commercial that would air during the lead-up to the big Super Bowl LI game.
On the legal side of things, Gaga’s lawyers are reportedly going crazy “trying to figure out insurance” that will cover all of the songstress’s performance antics. The 30-year-old’s legal representatives are reportedly still trying to “figure out” what is “doable” from a safety and insurable standpoint.
Unfortunately, neither Gaga nor the NFL has commented on these latest reports leaked by Page Six. However, it is only a few short weeks before we finally get to see what Gaga actually has up her sleeve.
In the meantime, Gaga posted a short video clip of her and her team at rehearsals on her Instagram page. Alongside the post, the “Perfect Illusion” songstress gushed, “Super Bowl Rehearsal is so fun. We built a tent in my backyard with a dance floor to practice. We love you monsters, can’t wait to perform for [you]!”
Lady Gaga, Instagram post: You can see Lady Gaga, as well as the rest of the football festivities, when Super Bowl LI airs on February 5th!
“Chrisley Knows Best” star Savannah Chrisley survived a terrifying car accident on Monday.
“I got in a car accident early Monday morning because my floor mat had gotten stuck behind my pedals so I looked down for a brief second to try and get it out of the way and then I realized that I was headed straight towards the guardrails,” she wrote. “I tried to over correct but it didn’t help. As soon as I hit the guardrail my airbags came out and because of the airbags and seatbelt the injuries weren’t near as bad as they could have been,” she explained on Instagram.
Chrisley, 19, said that a number of cars passed by before anyone stopped to help her.
“What I do remember is going in and out of consciousness screaming for help and cars just continued to pass,” she continued. “It felt like I had been laying there for at least twenty minutes begging for help. And then a man stopped and ran over to me and got the police my way…so thank you to the amazing man that stopped and helped me as everyone else was passing. I have no idea who you are but thank you…I could never repay you for your act of kindness.”
“The next month or so I will be recovering from a broken vertebrae which has caused numbness in my hands and fingers and pain all throughout my neck, back, and shoulders,” she added. “While recovering physically I’m going to take time to recover spiritually and mentally as well. I want to be the best version of myself possible and that will happen. We all make mistakes…all that matters is how we learn and grow from them. I truly believe that God has used this situation to open my eyes to what is truly important in life and to put my focus back on Him in order to live the right life and be unbelievably happy.”
The Atlanta-based starlet also had a message for her critics.
“To all of you hurtful people that are saying that I deserved it and got what was coming for me,” she wrote, “you need Jesus and I’ll help by praying for you.”
Matthew McConaughey has packed on and lost a whopping 47 pounds for his latest role.
“I haven’t ever done that,” he told E! News about gaining weight for his role in “Gold,” filmed in 2015. “I said, ‘McConaughey, you have six months to say yes to whatever you want to eat and whatever you want to drink. Whenever.’ That was fun. The only thing that gets tiring is the thought of quitting. It was fortunate that I was like, ‘Oh, this is also my job, so let’s go — all green lights.’”
The 47-year-old had only previously dropped weight for films, most notably for “Dallas Buyers Club,” which earned him an Academy Award in 2015.
“My favorite food is cheeseburgers, so I was eating cheeseburgers all the time,” McConaughey said. “I was making cheeseburgers. I was trying out all these fast food restaurants that I’ve never had, or I’ve only had one time. Not that much sweets. Cheeseburgers and beer will do the trick.”
For months, McConaughey worked at adding on the pounds. He stopped exercising and became lazy, refusing to even take stairs to the second floor.
“That would be too much exercise,” he told the site.
But when it was all finished, then came the “daunting” task of dropping the weight.
“I had to be patient,” he said. “I looked at myself like, ‘This is not going to happen overnight. This isn’t going to happen in a couple or a few months.’”
Although he’s somewhat back in shape, McConaughey quipped, “I still have a couple things back here that feel like they’re renting to own.”
“Shark Tank” cast member Kevin O’Leary is running for the leadership of Canada’s opposition Conservative Party.
O’Leary is a businessman and television commentator who has drawn comparisons to Donald Trump. He said Wednesday the party needs a candidate who can beat Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and bring jobs back to Canada.
O’Leary declined to hold a news conference for the announcement, preferring social media and interviews with select media.
He’s competing against 13 lower-profile candidates. Former Conservative ministers such as Peter MacKay and Jason Kenney have declined to run for the leadership.
Trudeau remains popular in polls, though O’Leary says Trudeau is “destroying” Canada with debt.
Jerry Seinfeld and Netflix have announced a deal that will bring the star’s interview show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” to the streaming service later this year.
Netflix says new episodes of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” will premiere in late 2017 and previous episodes will also be made available. The show has streamed on Crackle since its debut in 2012.
Seinfeld will also film two new stand-up specials for Netflix to be released later this year. In addition, Netflix says Seinfeld will “help develop scripted and non-scripted comedy programming” on the platform.
Terms of the deal haven’t been announced.
“Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” features Seinfeld chatting with guests in classic cars and coffee shops.
Octavia Spencer, who won an Oscar and several other awards for best supporting actress in “The Help,” was named Woman of the Year on Wednesday by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
“The Pudding is proud to honor an actress whose depth of talent has captivated audiences with her comedic wit and her graceful portrayals of the underrepresented,” the student group said in a statement.
Spencer is scheduled to be honored with a parade through the streets of Cambridge on Jan. 26, followed by a roast and the presentation of her pudding pot.
“We are humbled by her talent and are so honored that our little pudding pot will be sitting alongside Ms. Spencer’s Oscar and Golden Globe on her mantle,” Hasty Pudding co-producer Adam Chiavacci said.
In addition to her Academy Award, Spencer won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for her portrayal of Minny Jackson in 2011’s “The Help.”
She is currently appearing alongside Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae and Kevin Costner in “Hidden Figures,” a film about the behind-the-scenes contributions of several African-American women in the early years of the NASA program.
She also played Johanna in the “Allegiant” movie franchise.
The award has been handed out annually since 1951 to people who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment. Previous Hasty Pudding winners include Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn and Helen Mirren. Kerry Washington was last year’s recipient.
“Deadpool” actor Ryan Reynolds was named the 2017 Hasty Pudding Man of the Year last week.
Hasty Pudding says it is the nation’s oldest collegiate theatrical organization, tracing its roots to the late 1700s.
John Legend, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Metallica are set to perform at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles next month.
Underwood and Urban are both up for Grammys this year. Underwood’s “Church Bells” and Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” are nominated for best country solo performance. Urban’s “Ripcord” is also up for best country album. Metallica singer James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich are nominated for best rock song for “Hardwired.”
Additional acts will be named ahead of the Feb. 12 show. It will be broadcast on CBS and hosted by “Late Late Show” host James Corden.
“Orange Is The New Black” star Taryn Manning and Netflix are shooting down a report that the actress quit the show.
In Touch magazine reported Wednesday that Manning was leaving the show because she needed to get away from her character and was planning to move from New York, where the show is filmed, to Los Angeles.
Manning responded to the report on Instagram on Wednesday, writing “quit never maybe fired but No.”
A Netflix spokesperson tells Movie TV Tech Geeks that the story is not true and Manning remains on the show.
In Touch has removed the story from its website.
Manning plays inmate “Pennsatucky” on the prison dramedy.
“Will & Grace” is making a comeback.
NBC said Wednesday that 10 new episodes are set to air during the 2017-18 season. The series will feature original stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally.
Series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan are aboard as executive producers, and series director James Burrows also will be back, NBC said.
In a statement, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt called the series groundbreaking for its witty approach to social issues including gay rights.
Discussions about reviving “Will & Grace” began immediately after the stars appeared in an election-themed reunion video last September, said Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment.
“Will & Grace” aired from 1998 to 2006 and won Emmy Awards as best comedy series and for its stars.
“Star Trek: Discovery” may or may not land on CBS All Access in May, as previously announced.
If not, it would be the second delay for this latest TV edition of the “Star Trek” franchise, which originally was promised for delivery this month.
On Wednesday, CBS Television Studios and CBS All Access weren’t conceding to a further delay. But they seemed to claim wiggle room by stating, “We will be flexible on a launch date if it’s best for the show.”
Production starts next week, they said.
They also said James Frain has been added to the cast. Frain (“Gotham” and “Orphan Black”) will play Sarek, father of Spock.
After the premiere airs on the CBS broadcast network, further episodes will be available only to subscribers to CBS All Access.
Currently in-production movie Ocean’s Eight is looking to be one of the most star-studded flicks yet. The spin-off film, which is set to debut in theatres in mid-2018, features numerous well-known actors and entertainers. From award-winning actress Sandra Bullock to feisty songstress Rihanna to Lord of the Rings heroine Cate Blanchett, the cast is packed with numerous big name stars.
Early this week, this impressive ensemble continued to grow, as reality stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as well as their older sister Kim Kardashian, shot cameos for Ocean’s Eight.
On Monday, the trio of sisters was spotted all dolled up, while filming their brief appearances for the upcoming movie in New York City. Based on what witnesses observed of the movie set, Kim, Kendall and Kylie’s cameo in the movie will centre on some sort of Met Gala-esque event. During filming, Kim wore a glamorous Givenchy ensemble, Kendall sported a long white Elie Sabe gown and Kylie stood out in a Vetements x Canada Goose puffer jacket.
At this point, Ocean’s Eight is scheduled to hit theatres on June 8th, 2018.
Over the weekend, supermodel Bella Hadid decided to jump on the young Hollywood bandwagon and get some permanent ink.
On Sunday, the 20-year-old visited celebrity tattoo artist Jon Boy at his New York City tattoo parlor. Here, she opted to get two angel wings tattooed on the sides of her ankles.
Shortly after inking the Victoria’s Secret model, Jon took to his Instagram to show off the latest additions to his celebrity tattoo portfolio. In a two-shot series, Jon posted pictures of the petite, dainty black wings on the outside of each of Bella’s ankles.
Jonboytattoo, Instagram post:
Jon also posted a shot of him posing with the young beauty, who was sporting a black ensemble with translucent cat eye sunglasses.
While Jon Boy was quick to share pictures of Bella’s newest tats on social media, the model herself has yet to address her latest ink. However, her silence hasn’t stopped fans from speculating what motivated her to get the two small wings tattooed on her ankles.
One of the most popular theories surrounding Bella’s tattoos is that the young model got them in order to commemorate her debut on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show catwalk (back in December 2016). The brunette beauty made no attempt to hide her excitement about landing the gig, so it isn’t all that far-fetched to assume that she got her new tats as a reminder of her huge accomplishment.
On the other hand, countless fans have been speculating that the wings symbolize the end of her recent relationship. As you may know, Bella broke up with her boyfriend The Weeknd in late 2015. Just a few days ago, the Starboy artist was seen kissing and cuddling up to former Disney star Selena Gomez. According to insiders, Bella felt “betrayed” by Selena and was shocked to see her ex already move on from their relatively long-term relationship. Inevitably, there are rumors that Bella’s wing tats symbolize the newfound freedom she has to move on to bigger and better things.
Regardless of the motive, it looks like Bella is ready for a fresh start in 2017.
Ever since his ex Angelina Jolie announced that she was filing for divorce, we have not seen many smiles from award-winning actor Brad Pitt. Fortunately, over the weekend, he finally had the chance to let loose while participating in a celebrity charity event.
On Saturday, the Benjamin Button star attended the 4th annual ROCK4EB! Event, which was held at a private home in Malibu. At the event, Brad helped welcome musical guests Sting and Chris Cornell on stage. The two musical guests sang acoustic renditions of The Police’s hit “Every Breath You Take,” as well as Soundgarden’s hit “Black Hole Son.”
According to a fellow guest at the charity event, Brad seemed to be in good spirits throughout the night. The source told E! News, “[Brad] was in a great mood. He hung out with his peeps.” One social media user posted a video of Brad introducing Chris and Sting to the stage on their Instagram page.
Vaitiarehirshon, Instagram post: Brad, Sting and Chris weren’t the only big stars at the event. This year, ROCK4EB! was hosted by comedic actor Zach Galifianakis. The event is put on every year in support of the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. Brad has a special connection to the cause, as he sits on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Moreover, despite going through his own personal difficulties, Brad is evidently still committed to furthering the charitable work he (and his ex-wife) has become known for.
Late this past weekend, further details were released regarding the scary Paris robbery Kim Kardashian was involved in back in October.
While it was already revealed that the robbers who had broke into the reality star’s hotel room tied her up and managed to run off with several million dollars worth of jewelry, the newly released details outline what Kim told the police just hours after being robbed.
The French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche just put out an article, which includes the full police report from the night of the theft. Around 4:30 AM (promptly after the robbery), Kim told law enforcement, “I heard a noise at the door, like footsteps, and I shouted, asking, ‘Who’s there?’ No one answered. I called my bodyguard at 2:56 AM. Through the door, I saw two people arrive, plus the night man who was tied up…it’s the one with the ski goggles who stayed with me. He demanded with a strong French accent, my ring. It was on the bedside table. It’s worth 4 million dollars. I told him that I didn’t know… he took out a gun and I showed him the ring.”
Kim went on to elaborate to the Paris police, “They grabbed me and took me into the hallway. I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath. Then we went in the room again and they pushed me on the bed. And, it was this time, they tied me up with plastic cables, taped my hands – then they put tape over my mouth and my legs. I think they robbed me of 5 million dollars. Then they left on the run.”
Trying to give the investigators as much as insight as she could about the terrifying incident, the famous mother of 2 told the police, “I felt [the robbers] were a bit inexperienced because of the way they tied me up.”
Fortunately, a total of 10 people have now been charged in connection to the robbery and Kim seems to be doing a lot better in her post-trauma recovery.
Coinciding with the release of his latest project, Netflix’s take on A Series of Unfortunate Events, actor Neil Patrick Harris talked candidly about what his family thinks about the new show.
Over a decade ago, Jim Carey brought the role of Count Olaf to life in the 2004 movie A Series of Unfortunate Events. However, the film was not well received by fans of the book series, as well as critics. Subsequently, it took over 10 years for a studio to revive the story – which Netflix has now done.
In the first season of the Netflix series, which includes 8 episodes, Neil Patrick Harris is featured as the sinister Count Olaf – a beloved, yet intimidating role, as Series fans have long expressed their high expectations of what the character should be like on screen.
At the AOL press event, Neil told E! News that he had already won at least 2 pint-size fans over with his portrayal of the Count. Neil confessed, “[My two 6-year-old twins Harper and Gideon] loved it. They thought it was silly.” The How I Met Your Mother actor went on to elaborate, “It’s dark. They were a little freaked out at times, but just when it gets too dark, it gets silly again. So for kids who are six and up, they were a little spooked and then got a big laugh right afterwards.”
In the series, Neil sports a wardrobe of elaborate, Count-esque costumes. At the AOL event, he explained his twins’ thoughts on his crazy outfits, saying, “[My twins] laughed, they thought it was just strange. I think it’s important to not just show up as a different person, but to let them know that I’m going to be doing this and it’s going to involve a lot of physical changes and then show them pictures of the stages of the changes, so by the time they see and interact with me as someone else, it’s not too bizarre, they’ve seen the process.”
You can now watch A Series of Unfortunate Events, the TV series, on Netflix.
Just after finalizing him divorce from actress Amber Heard, Johnny Depp entered yet another legal battle.
This week, the Pirates of the Caribbean star filed a $25 million lawsuit against The Management Group, which previously managed several of his business and career ventures. According to Johnny, the organization had mismanaged his finances and committed several acts deserving of financial penalty, including outright fraudulent behavior.
In the 52-page court filing, Johnny’s legal team explained, ”As a result of years of gross mismanagement and sometimes outright fraud, Mr. Depp lost tens of millions of dollars and has been forced to dispose of significant assets to pay for TMG’s self-dealing and gross misconduct.”
If what Johnny accuses TMG of doing is accurate, the actor has certainly had his fair share of financial difficulties over the past while. In his divorce settlement with Amber, he ended up paying her $7 million. In addition, his ex got to keep their dogs, Pistol and Boo, their horse Arrow, as well as a Ford Mustang they shared.
Hopefully, Johnny’s filing against TMG doesn’t end up being as messy and drawn out as his divorce case was – although, it likely will.
While he may only be 2 years old, celebrity mini-me Otis Alexander Sudeikis already has something he will be able to brag about for the rest of his life.
On Thursday night’s edition of Bravo!’s Watch What Happens Live, Otis’ father, comedic actor Jason Sudeikis, revealed that his son was given a present from the one-and-only Beyoncé.
Before Otis had even turned 2, Jason was already ranting about his son’s Beyoncé obsession while doing a guest appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. On the show, Jason revealed that his son had become enamored with the talented diva after watching her incredibly impressive Super Bowl halftime performance.
Evidently, Queen Bey caught wind of Otis’ affinity for her and she decided to send him a gift for his 2nd birthday (back in April of 2016).
On Watch What Happens Live, Jason told host Andy Cohen that Beyoncé had sent Otis his very own, personalized signed photo of her. Jason went on to admit that the present “was pretty adorable” and well received by his pint size Beyoncé super fan.
Fortunately, Beyoncé’s surprise gift complemented Otis’ 2nd birthday’s theme perfectly. While on the late night talk show, Jason admitted, “[Otis’] 2nd birthday was a Beyoncé-themed party. It was great.”
If Otis plays his cards right he may just have the opportunity to meet the Lemonade star for his upcoming 3rd birthday (April 20th, 2017)!
The big news out of young Hollywood this week was the evident romance blooming between Starboy artist The Weeknd and “Hands to Myself” songstress Selena Gomez.
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, Selena and Abel (The Weeknd’s legal name) were photographed cuddling up to each other after enjoying a romantic dinner date together. While their relationship is still in the beginning stages, sources close to Abel claim that he has had a crush on the former Disney star for quite some time. One insider told E! News, “Abel always had a thing for Selena. He thinks she is extremely talented and sexy. They started talking before the holidays but she has been on his radar before.” The insider went on to add, “[Selena and Abel] are on the same level with expectations and think the other is really fun. They are taking things slowly and getting to know each other.”
Despite the fact that the new Hollywood couple is supposedly “taking things [slow]”, there are rumors circulating that Abel’s recent ex, model Bella Hadid, is not too happy with him already moving on to Selena. A source close to Bella told E! News, “[Bella] is actually not over The Weeknd. She still loves him. They are on fine terms, but she is bitter about the romance with Selena. She was not happy when all of that gossip went everywhere between The Weeknd and Selena.”
The same source went on to add, “It really hurt [Bella] seeing Selena be all up on her man. She still feels like [her and Abel] have a connection.”
While Bella has yet to speak out on her ex’s new romance, she did make her feelings pretty clear through social media. Almost immediately after the photos of Selena and The Weeknd made rounds on the Internet, Bella opted to unfollow Selena on Instagram. However, the supermodel is still following her former beau on her various social media platforms.
“Bella has reached out to Abel a few times and told him Selena is using him,” says a Hadid pal. “He thinks she’s just jealous and isn’t listening to her.”
Fortunately for Kim Kardashian, the investigators handling her terrifying Paris robbery case are moving very quickly. Just a couple of days ago, French law enforcement confirmed that they had 17 people in custody, all of which were being questioned based on their speculated involvement in the theft.
Fast forward to Thursday, officials revealed that they have now officially charged four suspects.  Through in-depth questioning, the Paris Prosecutor’s office was able to charge Yunice A., 63, Marceau B., 64, Florus H., 45 and Gary M., 27. While the first three appear to have no connection to the reality star, Gary is actually Kim’s Paris limo driver’s brother.
In terms of charges, Yunice, Marceau and Florus are being accused of several different felonies, some of which include committing a robbery with a gun, abduction, and associating with criminals. Meanwhile, law enforcement only found enough evidence to charge Gary with involvement in a robbery conspiracy. The latter charge falls in line with what Paris police thought from the start: that the robbery was an inside job.
Kim’s younger sister Khloe Kardashian talked candidly about the whole ordeal with E! News’ Catt Sadler, while promoting her new reality show, Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian. She ranted, “It’s just disgusting that someone would rob anybody, whether you’re the poorest of the poor or the richest of the rich. No one deserves to be treated like that, so I think anybody should be accountable for those actions that they do.” Khloe went on to reveal that the latest development in the investigation has already brought “comfort” to Kim, as it was a “traumatic experience” for both her and their whole family.
In honor of Zayn Malik’s 24th birthday (on January 12th, 2017), singer Taylor Swift shared an exclusive sneak peek of his upcoming music video on social media.
Last weekend, paparazzi snapped photos of Zayn shooting the music video for his latest hit “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” outside of a London hotel. These pictures prompted ample speculation, as fans anxiously waited to find out if Zayn’s collaborator on the song, Taylor Swift, would also be in the video (as she was not spotted in London during the shoot).
Fortunately, Taylor put an end to the speculation – as she shared a glimpse of both her and Zayn in the video, while also giving Zayn a birthday shout out.
On Thursday, Taylor posted an Instagram picture that showed her and Zayn’s recognizable silhouettes back-to-back while in a blue-lit room. Alongside the picture, Taylor captioned, “HAPPY Z DAY.”
Taylor Swift, Instagram post:
As mentioned, Taylor and Zayn’s duet is called “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and is one of the featured tracks on the upcoming Fifty Shades Darker movie soundtrack. A few days ago, the official Fifty Shades Darker track list was released and it included quite a few prominent artists, including Nick Jonas, John Legend, Halsey, Nicki Minaj, Tove Lo and Sia.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to listen to the soundtrack until the movie is released into theatres, which is February 10th. However, it is very likely that we will be seeing Taylor and Zayn’s music video well before then.
