Old Man Cat is sick, he has a myriad of chronic health issues that I'm not going to go into here, but this week he has been...extra old, and has begun rapidly declining health wise. My partner is gone on a work trip, so I have been trying to manage things on my own as best as I can.

Any spare spoons or soft thoughts or positive intentions/ vibes are so... so appreciated.

the office volunteer lady who usually comes in one day a week was in three days in a row this week and today especially she simply did not stop speaking to me all day, frequently yelling her questions to me across the building where I could not hear her, and there have been people staying at my house and people visiting actually constantly, I think today was the first day since December 23rd that there hasn’t been a person at my house whom I am not blood related to, which is twelve days straight of there being nine or more people in a home with one full fucking bathroom. I have been worn down to my last nerve. I haven’t hit introvert rock bottom in a while but boy have I now.

Do you guys mind if I complain a little bit? Get a little candid with you? We came all of this way because Professor Holly absolutely refuses to travel at her age. Sure! Fine, I get that. We come all this way here, drive all the way out here through the snow which let me tell you really increases the drive time when roads are icing over. Anyway. All of that and then we still have to wait overnight for the test results.

Wanting to see a rare specimen is one thing, you don't exactly see a shiny Hisuian Sneasel every day, but GODS I'm so tired. All this way when we could've sent some DNA samples through the mail or something. My eyes hurt. I want to cry. I'm cold and I'm bitter.
