Thinking about how Starkid’s raised nearly half a million dollars for Cinderella’s Castle simply by being transparent about where their money goes, being nice to their fan base, hiring unproblematic, talented people, and creating good, original art

wow i love twitter sm.
on a serious note - i think it's funny to portray women not wearing make-up as silly and childish when you're the one apparently caring so much about what other people are doing to their faces.
ask yourself: why do you find bare faces not appropriate for formal events? why does it bother you to see a woman without makeup? how does it effect you? why do you think it effects you?
you're so insistent that there are no societal pressures at play, that women are doing this exclusively for themselves and for the joy of it - then where does this urge to force it on women who don't find joy in it come from? why does it annoy you to see women in their natural way of being? it's a choice, but also there's a right choice, apparently, and anyone stepping out of line shoud be promptly shamed into submission. right?
"a little (whatever) never hurt anybody" okay and neither does a bare face. grow up.

The thing is that a character does not have to state out loud they are not straight for people to recognise that they ARE in fact queer.
The vibes and the intent behind the performance when it comes to acting does a lot and even though I have yet to see the new mean girls movie I have seen the interviews and that cast ? They all played their character as not straight with only Chris as an exception but I mean he is just there! I guess.
Renee Rapp's love for women cannot be contained I am sorry so I don't care what anyone says. All the girlies and Damien are far from straight.
Also put auli'i and renee in a movie as love interest please thank you I need to see them kiss on the mouth.
(Rejanis on top!!!)

#believing dirk is the worst guy because its what dirk thinks of himself#ignoring daves bisexuality and think hes a gay man in denial even when he explained hes bisexual#believing john 'im not a homosexual' egbert is explicitly straight while he makes out with his mcconahey and cameron posters more#than he kissed women(literally only once)#believing that rose is an edgy psyhcotic little bitch when she was neglected. she speaks elegantly to cover that shes silly and a total ner#and how did people forget that rose also writes gay wizard fanfiction. reads Wikipedia. and her beautiful artstyle as a result of neglect#(and by neglect meaning having SO MUCH TIME to draw)#jake wasnt into dirk. he also told di that he didnt like how brobot getting touchy with him during strifes#but as part of the repression 4(prospit kids). he refused on changing the bot settings#what jane said about roxy being better when she was drunk. it was fucking sarcasm. its the least insane shit you could say to a best friend#all the kids have issues and of course people get mad over a girl being sarcastic.#when KARKAT said THE SAME THING to rose when she was drunk on the meteor nobody bats an eye#trolls are just grey humans that are bugs. he doesnt get an excuse for being an alien. humans were made from KARKATS BLOOD#jade isnt all silly girl and is so FULL OF HATE towards the trolls. she called karkat a fuckass (VERY FUNNY) to do her a favor#“jade would rather have punched karkat in the fact then had a pleasent conversation with him.”#“she viewed the trolls as rude mean and cruel. and even thought that nepeta was just making fun of her.#despite it being that nepeta just wanted to roleplay and have fun."#dred.loki#I HAVE YET TO ADD MORE. I can understand transmasc people who seem to mostly have an issue with simply being called women, tbh. I can perfectly understand why it would mostly be a linguistic issue for some. From a young age, I was jealous of men and aware they were considered less cool than women. This is even worse now because of the internet- I’ll show you one example.
Tumblr media
Why is it gendered? Why are men the people who would understand this? This type of joke has always been on the internet, and it’s probably taken on a different form in the past ~5 years or so, but the assumption that the listener/reader is male and that men are the cool, fun sex are a constant. There are small pockets more oriented towards women but most isn’t. It’s always, always bothered me, and I can absolutely see some women just having better connotations with the word ‘man’ than ‘woman’.
Even though a part of you understands it’s misogyny, and it’s not a reflection of actual women, you eventually start to feel like it’s you that’s the problem. I truly feel like if I had kept going down the same route, I would have eventually identified as a trans man, and not nonbinary like I had a first. My brain started to interpret the anguish at seeing things like this and wanting to belong with men as proof I’ve always been one. Even if you have women you care about and don’t consciously think all women fit a certain mold, it still doesn’t feel right. This is made even worse by the trans community acting like ‘cis women’ is a boring thing to be. It sucks. I’m not going to deny that for some individuals sex dysphoria is very real, and not every one shares this experience, but this has existed in my life for a long time, and it felt very real to me at the time. So I do think for plenty of women, it’s not our female body, it’s not feminine clothing, it’s simply being referred to as a women.

Usually everyone agrees that Omar is an exceptionally beautiful human, but one time on I think reddit someone said there are a million Omars walking around Latin America and he is nothing special and I was like WHAT
WHAAAAAAAAT??? WHERE??? WHERE IN LATIN AMERICA????
They're lying and it's such a ridiculous thing to say OMG I get that not everyone can be into him but saying he's nothing special??? That's blasphemous!
Look, I live in like the 6th most populated city in Latin America and it's fairly diverse in terms of the amount of Latin American immigrants that live here. Coincidentally, a large part of those people are from Venezuela... I've lived here for two years full time, I ride the always full subway every day and have never ever seen someone as beautiful as Omar Rudberg. Like I wish!!
I also visited México City in November last year and no, sorry, no one compared to Omar's beauty either.
I'm from a smaller city in Chile and there, I know men that look like Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac lmao like your average looking Latino who's handsome if you like their style? Diego Luna too, who looks exactly as one of my old uni classmates. Funnily enough there's always a Pedro Pascal double contest going on somewhere here, with thousands of contestants lmao 😭
And like OKAY I know I'm biased AF but Omar isn't just handsome. He's beautiful. Even lesbians think he's beautiful, come on!
He's aesthetically pleasing, as my very lesbian sister says, and no, you just can't find anyone that looks like Omar here. Curly haired, brown men? Sure. But as GORGEOUS as him? Not at all.
If I ever find someone as beautifull as Omar, I'll let you all know!
For now, there's only one Omar Rudberg and he's more beautiful than all the other men out there!
Whoever said that is a lying liar who lies.

Apparently some people are upset because Leatherhead will be voiced by a women (Rose Byrne) in the new Mutant Mayhem movie.
Alright, if y’all are so upset about that then I guess these iconic male characters bother you too?

Day 27: Snow
A small painting tucked into a worn album of similar paintings. The cover of the album is worn leather made shiny by many hands over the years.
All of the paintings are of the convent's errant daughter through the years. The most recent a sledding scene with her karakul companion and those moths.
Tucked at the back of the book is a bundle of letters. Each from Odette, each detailing one of the painted adventures.
