Her Sunrise 🌄 Her Dawnbreaker
Ever since the very first time I read Still in Dark, the detail of Zayne being covered in scars from fighting wanderers/abominations has sat so heavy on my heart. Because you know that poor man hasn't been getting any professional medical help. Much like Xavier, he's just riding those injuries out, only unlike Xav, he's not blessed with a body that heals itself with relative ease.
This particular 'moment' is from a fic I'm still formatting in my head, that will hopefully see the light of day soon. His expression is a reflection of your own when you realize just how much he's been through. Our poor little meow meow 😩
My desire to bring this man into my arms and shield him from everything overwhelms me sometimes, and today I sat consumed with the desire to do just that, so instead of doing all my other obligations I did... this. Lol.

Has Tim ever put Dick on a pedestal?
100% yes! This is basically Tim's backstory IMO. Prior to meeting Dick in Lonely Place of Dying, Tim's a kid who's got a distant, idealized, made-for-TV vision of Dick and Bruce - mostly Dick - and he sets out on a quest based entirely around that misperception.
Aaaand then he immediately crashes headfirst into reality, because the Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne he remembers from his childhood memories and daydreams are like this:
Tumblr media
But it turns out that the actual real-life human people are a bit more, uh, cranky than Tim's glossy vision - things are tense and neither of them are super-happy to meet Tim:
Tumblr media
And Tim has to rethink a bunch of his mistaken deductions as it slowly dawns on him that - far from being a plucky team - Dick and Bruce are actually not getting along at all:
Tumblr media
And so Tim has to realize his whole plan of "Dick has to be Robin again!!! That will fix everything!!! :)))))" was actually wrong, and based on a misunderstanding of Bruce and Dick's relationship. And having realized he was wrong, he immediately sets about trying to figure out what he’s failed to understand in the most intrusive way possible—by asking lots of nosy questions!
Actually-meeting-Dick is basically the end of Tim’s super-idealized vision of Dick. It's not a vision that can survive contact with an actual human being who's snapping at you. And kid!Tim is (I love him but) extremely pushy and annoying, and Dick's a prickly young adult who is not above getting annoyed, which means Dick snaps at him pretty regularly.
But Tim does continue to admire him.
So for their various interactions after Lonely Place of Dying, IMO "does Tim have Dick on a pedestal" is kind of a judgment call based on your assessment of Dick's relative strengths/virtues. What's unambiguous: Tim has a consistently higher opinion of Dick than Dick does of Dick, and they argue about it a lot.
I had way too many thoughts about this, so below the cut:
Comics where Dick and Tim have conversations along the lines of Dick: "I suck and I'm failing at everything." Tim: "That's not true!! Actually you're great and you're succeeding at the thing you think you're failing at!!"
So who's right - Dick or Tim?
Dick and Tim's high opinions/expectations of each other: the plusses and minuses
Comic examples
Here are a couple different variations on Tim thinking that Dick is great (often when Dick's less sure):
in Showcase, Tim thinks that Dick’s a way better teammate than Azrael, even as Dick’s thinking himself as a failure who let the Titans down;
in Prodigal, Dick tells Tim a story about confronting Two-Face which to Dick symbolizes a moment of great failure and which Tim insists was a no-win situation where Dick did the best he could;
also in Prodigal, Dick’s despairing over how badly he thinks their encounter with Killer Croc went and meanwhile Tim thinks it went fine (after all, Dick listened to him and called an ambulance instead of beating up Croc!), and Tim tells Dick to lighten up and Dick talks about how he’s a failure;
in Nightwing 6, Dick thinks he’s doing badly in Blüdhaven and he’s self-conscious about it and paranoid about what Tim might tell Bruce, and Tim insists that the fact that Dick’s being targeted means he’s succeeding and getting close instead of failing, and Dick retorts that this won’t be comforting if he winds up dead because getting close just isn’t good enough;
also in Nightwing 6, Tim thinks Dick was a better Robin than Tim is, and Dick thinks he wasn’t that great and that Tim’s better;
post-Last Laugh, Tim’s insistent that Dick's being too hard on himself about attacking the Joker whereas Dick's really haunted by the experience and confides that it feels like he's discovered a terrible dark side of himself;
way later in Nightwing 110, Tim’s seeking Dick out and Dick’s trying to avoid him because he thinks he’s a bad person who’d be bad for Tim;
in BW: Murderer, Tim doesn’t trust Bruce absolutely, but in Red Robin, he does trust Dick absolutely (or at least, more than Tim trusts himself);
etc. etc. etc.
Who's right: Dick or Tim?
So, is Tim being too easy on Dick and looking at him with rose-colored glasses, and Dick’s harsher view of himself is the correct one; or is Dick a perfectionist who’s being too hard on himself, and Tim’s the one who’s actually seeing Dick’s strengths more clearly?
I don’t think the comics really commit one way or another! These are moments of multiple-perspectives, where we notice that Tim has one attitude and Dick has another attitude and that tells us things about the characters, not moments that are meant to resolve to a simplistic “one person is Right and one person is Wrong.”  I think often you could argue that they're both right? So, like, if you wanted to take the approach of, "Tim's idolizing him but he's not actually as great as Tim thinks," I don't think the comics precisely contradict that interpretation.
... THAT SAID, look, I am a Dick Grayson fan at heart, and I tend to lean toward “Dick’s being too hard on himself.”
Tim’s not oblivious to Dick’s flaws—he immediately figures out, for example, that Dick’s gonna attack the Joker, and rushes off to stop him; he just isn’t as judgmental about this moment as Dick is, and he doesn’t think it makes Dick an awful person forever.  The point is (Tim says later, practical-minded) that it was made right, and Dick shouldn’t beat himself up about it.  In Prodigal, Tim’s not unaware that their fight with Croc went badly; he’s just focused on how Dick’s morals and teamwork-centric attitude feel right to him in a way that Azrael’s didn’t, and look, Tim didn’t get shot even though he got shot at, and isn’t that the important thing?  Tim gets caught in the same ambush that Dick does in Nightwing 6; he just takes the glass-half-full attitude toward it while Dick takes the glass-half-empty attitude.  And so on.
Tim admires Dick, looks up to him, trusts him, interprets his flaws generously, and doesn’t think he’s a failure. And... this isn't quite in the comics, but it doesn't contradict them: I like to imagine Dick feeling like he's on a pedestal, and feeling kinda uncomfortable with Tim's admiration when he's forced to realize it exists, and feeling like he doesn't deserve it, and sometimes subconsciously braced for the other shoe to drop, convinced that Tim can't possibly really think this forever, that he's deluded somehow, and that eventually Tim will realize who Dick really is and get disillusioned and leave.
And I tend to think of Dick having this problem a bit with everyone in his life who thinks highly of him, but especially with Tim, because he doesn't feel like Tim's ever needed him or that he's done anything worth Tim's admiration. I feel like Dick - despite some insecurities - does know his own worth as a team leader, and he knows he was a good partner to Bruce, and he understands when he's helping people who are clearly floundering, like Damian and Rose. But all he's ever done for Tim is...hang out, and be nice. And he doesn't think Tim ever needed fixing or saving, and he vastly underestimates both the value of his own friendship in general and how much it's meant to Tim in particular. Not all the time, because later in their relationship when they've known each other for years I do think Dick does feel a bit more secure in that friendship and entitled to make demands based on it (and vice versa, for Tim). But I do imagine Dick periodically feeling like Tim lets him off the hook too easily, and thinks more highly of him than he should, and alternating between being grateful for it and uncomfortable with it.
But I would argue that Dick does deserve Tim’s admiration!
Look, Dick's not a perfect person - no one is. He does screw up sometimes, and sometimes he's petty or jealous, and sometimes his temper gets the better of him. But he is pretty great! He's brave and thoughtful and kind and generous and caring. He takes his own grief and his own suffering and devotes himself to helping other people. And Tim sees that. Tim watches an orphaned kid crying on stage, and has nightmares about it - and later recognizes the hero in him. Tim stops Dick from beating the Joker to death, and he holds Dick back from strangling Hugo Strange, and he talks Dick down from two separate panic attacks, and he listens to Dick monologue about his various perceived failures, and he gets yelled at a lot when Dick's annoyed with him, and his takeaway from all of that is that he believes in Dick, and trusts Dick, and thinks he's a hero.
You could see that as Tim having him on a pedestal and refusing to acknowledge the ugly reality. But I tend to see it as Tim understanding that Dick's flaws and occasional missteps don't define who he is - the fact that Dick's human doesn't make him any less of a hero. Tim can see the hero that Dick can't always see in himself.
Dick and Tim have really high opinions of each other... for better or worse
Tim's not alone in having a high opinion of Dick - Dick thinks Tim's pretty great, too! Dick repeatedly compares himself to Tim and finds himself wanting, whether he's thinking that Tim's a better partner for Bruce, or having a fear toxin nightmare where Tim's a rival who's beating him out of a job, or deciding that Tim would never have let Blockbuster die (and that he'll be better off if Dick avoids him), or musing that Tim would be a better Batman. Dick calls Tim his equal and closest ally in Red Robin; Tim thinks Dick is "the best" in his origin story and basically never changes his mind.
I think nowadays we're sometimes pretty highly-attuned to the way that high expectations can be bad or oppressive, and... I have mixed feelings about this? On the one hand, it isn't untrue! Dick and Tim's mutual high opinions of each other, and correspondingly high expectations, are not an unmixed blessing! They 100% cause problems! Dick and Tim think highly of each other, and expect a lot from each other, and sometimes they're pushy or abrupt or demanding when they could stand to be more sensitive. And the iffy side of high expectations is something I find interesting, and I do think it's solidly canon-based - you see aspects of this in several of their comic conflicts - LPoD, Graduation Day, BftC, RR, etc.
But at the same time, it's complicated! I don't think you can fully untangle the higher expectations from "they rely on each other and have a lot of faith in each other." Love and trust are different things, and Dick and Tim care a whole lot about being trusted, not just about being loved.
I also think it's important that their belief in each other is often a gift rather than an inevitability: Dick and Tim choose to see each other in positive ways. Something they both do is after they have a conflict, they'll apply on a retrospective very positive gloss to whatever just happened. So e.g. Dick starts Resurrection mad at Tim, and ends it by declaring, "I let you make the choice... because I knew you'd make the right one." Tim spends most of Red Robin 1-12 mad at Dick, and ends it by declaring that he knew Dick would catch him because Dick's always there for him. And in both cases, we-the-readers are aware that they knew no such thing! But to me, that doesn't make these declarations meaningless - it makes them more meaningful. Their faith in each other is sometimes genuinely felt, and sometimes it's something they stubbornly brute-force into existence because they want to give that gift to each other.
And I mean... Tim did make the right choice. Dick was there when it really counted. Just because it isn't the whole truth doesn't mean it's not a truth.
Now, does this positivity also put some pressure on them? Absolutely! They're both people who are very upset by failure, so they tend to reassure each other by insisting that there was no failure, could never be failure, failure is impossible, even when they know perfectly well that's not true. They praise each other's skills as a love language, when what they mean is I love you no matter what. They talk about other people's needs but don't always acknowledge each other's. And it'd probably be healthier if they said instead, "Even if you'd made the wrong choice, it'd be okay, because it's okay to make the wrong choice sometimes," or "Even if you're not always there for me, that's okay, because no one can be there for someone else all the time."
And they do not say that, because Dick and Tim are relatively well-adjusted by Batfamily standards but that is a very low bar, and at the end of the day they're still deeply messed-up perfectionists who deal with their emotional problems by punching crime in the face.
But look, they're trying. And isn't that the important thing? <3
#dick 'imposter syndrome' grayson and tim 'dick grayson stan' drake#dick grayson#tim drake#dick & tim#ask tag#i rambled for a really long time anon <3#it's complicated because i feel like mmmm the ''pedestal'' thing is obv true in some ways#but i think it also sometimes gets used in this kinda flanderized way#where it gets extrapolated into claims like ''older!tim is shocked to learn dick experiences normal human emotions' or w/e#and obv fandom is transformative and a rich tapestry etc but for me personally#part of what i LOVE about tim's introduction is that dick is in the middle of one of his very angsty eras#so tim's burst into his life being all ''hiiiiii!!! you're the best :)))))'' when dick is at peak ''i am gloomy and depressed''#that said tim's high opinion of dick is very canon and very compelling to me <3#tim does think dick is the greatest thing ever!#but it's more like being a stan of his rather than being a distant stranger who doesn't know him at all#it's not that tim's unaware that dick gets angry/sad/etc or that dick and tim never have fights (they do!)#it's more that unless they're actively in the middle of a fight tim admires/loves dick a lot and is determined to think well of him#so he considers all of dick's strengths What's Important About Him and all of his flaws Basically A Rounding Error If You Think About It#and he doubles-down on this when someone's questioning it (including Dick)#there is definite motivated reasoning at play in Tim's view of Dick but imo it's not quite the same as a pedestal sdfdsfds#i'm not sure there's anything that Dick could do that Tim couldn't find a way to justify in his head how it was okay /#not really Dick / not really his fault / etc. - like if Dick went on a murder spree#Tim would be there making the big This Isn't You! I Know You Won't Kill Me Because I Believe In You! speech#and like. if he was wrong then he'd be dead sdfdsf but the thing is he'd have secret doubts and be wary AND STILL#find himself ultimately making that speech / taking the risk - and ditto for Dick toward Tim#it's not that they never get mad / distrust each other and it's not impossible they'd stay bitter and suspicious for a while#but in the END they both really really WANT to trust each other

Joshua supremacy 😭😭😭 I’m so soft for him. Just let me be his little princess. He can make all the rules idc
omg he’s so gorgeous and like the thing about him—at least in my opinion/my own personal interpretation—is that while he is genuinely so sweet (almost sickly so at times!) and so kindhearted and so so tender, he is also so used to being served and so used to being the Boss, the undying’s precious phoenix prince, the king of everything, and it comes out in these tiny little wisps and hints in certain interactions; a vaguely bratty comment, a gentle yet vehement assertion, a soft chuckle beneath a gloved hand……..
all of this is to say, i think he’d fucking love to have a partner who lives to serve him and be his precious lil doll (to the point where he may even feel guilty about how much he loves it, because he knows it isn’t necessarily right, but he just can’t help but feel this way about you <3). he wouldn’t push it on you, and he wouldn’t hold you back from doing things you wanted to, either, if he deems them good or beneficial for you—he’d definitely encourage you to do things if they were things you wanted to do/made you happy—but oh, to have a baby who’s syrupy sweet and devotedly doting and hangs on his every word; to have a precious lil princess who gazes up at him as if he’s painted the entire night sky by hand, speckled the stars across the atmosphere and carved out the moon himself; to have a soft sweetheart who clings to him in every way possible, hands curled around his fingers or wrists or biceps when he takes you for a walk in the gardens or when you sit down for a meal (always beside him, never across from him, protocol be damned), who snuggles in his lap or straddles his thighs and nuzzles their sugar-sweet lips against his neck or collarbone or jaw, who obediently never leaves his side unless it is absolutely necessary <33333 that sounds like a perfect dream, a paradise, to him <3

Soulmates soulmates soulmates! Got some soulmates angst for ya! Also, I noticed with my last one, you didn’t include the confusion of being both touch averse/avoidant AND being touch starved. Wanting it, but not liking it and that confusion.
Soulmates angst! There can be a buuuuunch of different angst! One of my favorite angsts with soulmates is first words! Oh? But how would that be angst you may ask? Well… what if one of the soulmates are mute? I’ll refer to soulmate who is mute as Soulmate A and the one who isn’t Soulmate B. Just two for simplicity’s and understanding explanation’s sake! Soulmate B goes their whole life thinking they are broken and don’t have a soulmate and they are destined to be alone and have no one who understands and accepts them. Enter upstage right Soulmate A. Soulmate A and Soulmate B meet and talk, or well, Soulmate B talks while Soulmate A is internally freaking out. Soulmate A tries to tell Soulmate B that they’re soulmates, but soulmate B doesn’t believe them. There’s a bunch of lack of communication. Maybe hurt/comfort.
Or? A tiny bit more fluff but like, Soulmate A just has, like, really bad anxiety or is selectively/situationally mute. Soulmate A is already ostracized for not talking. So maybe Soulmate A feels like they have to talk, especially since their soulmate identifier is first words spoken to each other. Lots of angst potential with first words, yep yep
- Angst Anon
Etho is notoriously quiet, talking only when he's absolutely comfortable. And Bdubs is the opposite. He talks so much.
So Etho's soulmark takes up almost his entire arm, while Bdubs' has simple "Haha" on his arm. It's a bit disappointing to him, that his soulmate's first, not even words but, noise to him is them laughing at him.
And it's weeks after Etho and Bdubs have spent time together, at this point, when finally Etho lets out a small laugh and Bdubs' heart gives a little flutter.

I'd love to know some random facts about your Ocs! And since it's October, what would they dress up as for halloween? ❤️
Hrm.
Let's see:
TWC MCs:
Let's knock Kai out of there. Kai isn't doing that. Even Nat couldn't convince him. But he probably will do black nailpolish and eye shadow, maybe black lipstick. LOL. I think he actually does like Halloween aesthetically and filmly.
I think Pierre does something simple and maybe a tad [unexpectedly, to everyone except his close buds and Felix, who is his closest of buds ;-D] goofy. Maybe a funky tie or flower that if you press it says something silly. He might put on vampire teeth if it's like kids trick or treating. Felix could probably bully him into dressing up though or a couple's costume. Maybe someone/a pair from a book. Or something like a painter and their painting -- I feel that's win win; Felix gets to be creative and colorful, Pierre gets to make Felix happy and be a nerd.
Andy usually doesn't do Halloween -- the only times he might do a costume is for some office party [he shows up and then leaves] or for Verda's kids [but the latter is rarely asked for, blessed]. A gussy-upping of his suits. Maybe Dracula [haha] or a robber baron [I bet he owns a top hat and cane qwerrs lol]. I feel ONCE he was Lurch for the kids. Don't tell anyone, he didn't hate it.
Val usually goes as various rock stars -- especially between 60-80s and especially if they're big on black or white. It gives them a chance to show off their hair and make up skills. Once they definitely went as John Travolta in Grease, so.
It depends who Kendis is dressing for and where they're going. If it's something fun with friends or like an office party -- maybe something like Regine from Living Single or Max from the same show; a fave character of theirs [usually someone bitchy and/or sassy. Once they went as Regina George in a game I played them in, but with pants]. If it's for the kids -- something spooky, but appropriately so. Like Morticia Addams. If it's a late at night, adult's only, I can see them doing something like dream house murder barbie or tiana the undead -- taking something cute and making it horror [and sexy ofc].
Thanks for the ask! And happy october!

I love your shallura art. Its just so wholesome and gives me life 🥰🥺😁. I'm curious though, who do you think would have worse nightmares of the past, Shiro or Allura? I feel like both would have equally bad nightmares but leaning into different fears. What do you think?
First off, thank you, I work very hard for my obsession with this ship lol 💜
Second of all, this is very interesting. I'm not gonna say who has it worse, as it's, y'know, trauma, but I definitely believe they both have trouble sleeping at night. Let's not forget that Allura's past to her felt yesterday. Both have very recent scars to deal with.
Shiro being haunted by ghosts of his enemies and pain. Feeling guilt at what he was forced to do.
Allura being haunted by ghosts of past friends and family. Feeling guilt at what she failed to do.
A weapon. A relic. It terrifies them and eats them up inside. Hell, I would lose sleep, too.
So, they work. And they work. And they work so, so relentlessly. They can't lose any more lives, they can't fail anymore.
But they can't do it by themselves. No one can bear such responsibilities on their own. But they can help share the load.
After all, they're always stronger together.

Venti Brainrot eh? I can work with that.
I've read a few fics that say Archons can change their form at will... (minor spoilers for Venti's backstory)
Venti realizing who you are because the wind seems to sing whenever you're around. It's constantly guiding him to you and actively pushes him away from the fake on the throne. He's not stupid, he sees the way the land flourishes wherever you go. The plants and wind seem to cradle you while rejecting the faker outright.
Knowing he can't approach you in his human form (he's seen how you shy away from any and all human contact), he shifts into his wind sprite form to greet you. He's more than happy to show you the love and affection you deserve as the First Guiding Wind. And so what if he keeps quiet about how much he adores the affection you give back? It's not like you mind, ehe!
-sibling anon, who also loves the windy boi
ah, a fellow citizen of brainrot city
anyway the idea of archons changing their forms is so cool actually (and maps to canon bc venti changed into this form so) and i think i’d enjoy small dragon!li as like a weighted blanket pls and thank
but back to the prompt: yes. so much yes.
he’s already tuned into nature quite well, so he can hears how the harmonies turn discordant around the throne room. likewise, he notes that the wind sings of heaven, of liyue, sumeru, of wherever you are, pleading with him to stop the hunt. to pull you away to a castle of gold, filled with whatever you need while keeping you safe from those who dared call you the sinner.
i honestly think a lot of my problems could be solved by simply having Wisp Venti at my side, sagau or not, isekai or not, imposter au or not. like he’s so……..
he comes up to you with a curious trill, wondering if you’ll be receptive to this form- he spends his time floating beside you like one of the companion seelies, and is so much more open to displays of affection than bird!xiao i’m- he openly runs into your hand when he wants pets, he cuddles blatantly into you when it’s time for bed, he leads you towards trees with the freshest apples (or sunsettias, if you’re allergic or don’t like them) and fully expects a pat on the head as a reward. he communicates entirely through sqeaks and chirps—he sounds a lot like the mini seelies actually, at least in my mind, but it has a speech-like pattern to it—and softly hums a little when he’s asleep, like a little white noise machine for you <3

Random facts about Mako (also some angsty ones)?

-She accidentally got picked up in a giant pelipper's mouth at 6 years old. She's very afraid of birds, even small ones.
-The one that gave her the scar on her face was Sirius.
-When they first started having feelings for Saphira, they believed she hated them deep down and they accepted that Saph would never want anything like that. (Opposite happened though to their surprise)
-Hates being in the presence of alcohol.

#they really aren’t a very good person #but sugu loves them anyway
that's so sad :(((
the person suguru loves just... just isn't that person anymore :(((
or maybe it's moments of sweetness that shine through? that just make suguru cling onto hope?
something like seeing them outside, the sun shining on their face, a stray cherry blossom flower falling on their hair, and they turn to look at suguru, smiling, and he just forgets everything, imagining a marriage ceremony, a normal life, a 'what-could-be' of domestic bliss
it is sad in a way :’3 but!! i’d say it’s a lot more complicated than that. you’re still you, even if time has passed and you’ve both changed. i don’t think suguru is clinging to the hope that you’ll magically return to the way you used to be, because he loves the you now just as much… i see it as less sad and more beautiful. you aren’t a very good person and suguru loves you just the same!! the issue is just allowing yourselves to be vulnerable again, and it’s tough but you’ll manage. i already have an ending planned out and it’s nothing if not hopeful <33

I love the mortal x immortal ship. Even more because I'm some kind of sadist loving a reincarnation trope with it. Deal with this strange powerful being kidnapping you and telling you how much he missed you, or how you are still as beautiful as the day he lost you. He sometime comes randomly in your room to hug you and tell you how happy he is to see you again. Sometime he comes and have a mental breakdown, crying, and telling you he is so scared to lose you again, and again, and forever.
Worst thing is when he tells you about some genuine happy memories, or show you something you liked a lot in your past life, in you are just like "It's beautiful. And he seems really happy. But I have no memory of this"
it's worse because in Otherwordly Desire (name still stc) there is no kidnapping. it is merely 'coincidence' after 'coincidence', music that keeps replaying on a broken record after a pause when the song ends. there is candlelight and a love in your arms that will dissipate into smoke if you waltz for too long or too little. it is a flower you cannot preserve even in resin. it is the snow that melts on your rooftop and drips onto your front porch but you can't hate it because the sound makes it feel less lonely at home. it is the inky words fading from the pages of the old books in your library. it is the old ring you've kept with you your entire life, the thing desperately needing a polish. it is the food you cook and put on the table. it is the gentleness with which you take that hand and kiss each knuckle. it is the candle flame that flickers because of the wind from the open window. it is you. but it is not her.
love is not her, because she is not her.

anon prompt fill
alright so! lost the ask this prompt was for because tumblr fecked up, so i’m incredibly sorry if this was yours  😭  veered from the prompt somewhat, but when don’t i. i hope you like the changes!!! (ღ˘◡ ˘ღ)
Tumblr media
Ahsoka doesn’t recognise him, when they first find him; his signature is unmistakable, Ahsoka would know it in a coma and half Force-blind, yet the young face that stares back at her and Cody is one she hasn’t seen even in holos of her grandmaster from before the War.
But that light in the Force is unmistakably Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With Master Anakin on probation in the Temple for killing Raako Hardeen and Cad Bane (she refuses to think it was in cold blood, but was... was revenge actually better?), Cody had been the one to accompany her and the 501st to investigate a tiny cloaked complex near Naboo that was rumored to belong to Count Dooku. And maybe Cody knows something she doesn’t about her Grandmaster’s past, because that same pained recognition is on his own face — or maybe he really is Force sensitive the way Anakin always jokes.
Force, Obi-Wan isn’t even wearing robes, instead dressed in a grey tunic and soft pants that look an exact copy of the red ones worn by the clones on Kamino, and Ahsoka almost drops her gaze, feeling as if she’s caught him in his undergarments.
“... General?” Cody asks softly at her side, voice raw and betrayed, but this... Not–Obi-Wan just blinks at him.
“Oh, no, not me,” the thing wearing her Grandmaster’s face says with a Serennian accent, smiling apologetically. “I’m afraid he hasn’t been by in quite some time.”
Ahsoka exchanges a quick look with Cody before stepping through the doorway properly, Not–Obi-Wan sitting on an assortment of vermilion cushions that are the only splash of colour in the entire room of washed-out greys and stark whites. He simply watches her approach, an actual flimsi book laid across his lap in a language that Ahsoka doesn’t know, but it isn’t until she’s halfway across the room that she starts to see little differences between this boy and her grandmaster. A mole a little too far to the left, brown eyes a little darker than they should be, lower lip a little too full.
When she doesn’t say anything, he frowns suspiciously. “You are here to see General Grievous, yes?”
Ahsoka feels her heart freeze in her chest, as Cody makes a strangled sound she’s never heard from him before.
It draws Not–Obi-Wan’s gaze back to the commander, and he raises one dark brow. “I was not aware my grandfather kept any of Fett’s clones for himself.”
Cody sputters, hand twitching towards one of the blasters at his hip, but Ahsoka knows he would never actually shoot Master Obi-Wan — if this even is Master Obi-Wan. Just to be safe, she sidesteps to put herself between the two of them, and holds up one hand placatingly. “Your grandfather?” she asks carefully, but the Force assures her she already knows the answer. “I didn’t realise Count Dooku had any living family still.”
Surprisingly, he snorts, and jerks a hand around the barren room. “If you call this living.”
  She blinks. “You’re trapped here?”
“I honestly don’t even know what planet I’m on.” He says it like it means nothing, like it’s a given fact that he has no control over, and Ahsoka has to stop herself from punching the nearest wall.
Taking a few deep breaths to steady herself, Ahsoka glances back at Cody, whose expression has shifted to forcibly-blank. “What’s your name?” she asks, desperately wishing Master Anakin were here, that Master Obi-Wan were here. The Force does not lie to her, but she had also held her grandmaster as he died, in her arms, and the impossibility of this... man, barely older than she is, having the same signature that she had felt as it snuffed out is...
“I’m not entirely sure,” that man says, with a tiny, forced smile. “General Grievous calls me Kenobi, and Lady Ventress calls me Little Jedi, but my grandfather calls me Yan.”
After the briefest of pauses, the air positively suffocating with confusion and horror and disgust, Cody slams his helmet back on and whirls out of the room, and the bulkhead-style door clangs shut behind him.
Yan doesn’t seem surprised by his outburst, lips pressed together in a thin line as he stares after him for a moment before dragging his eyes back to Ahsoka. “I am quite sure I have never met either of you, yet you both still seem to know me,” he remarks softly, one thumb fidgeting with the edge of the pages of his book.
“I...” Ahsoka starts, but doesn’t know what she had planned to say. “I, um, how old are you, Yan?”
If he is surprised by this either, he doesn’t show it. “I believe I am 19 Serenno years old, but as I have not seen a Galactic calendar since I was a child, I cannot be sure.”
Deeply disturbed, she goes on, “What did you mean by your grandfather ‘keeping’ one of Fett’s clones?”
“I was under the impression he only picked the template because his master wanted Fett,” Yan offers, deceptively-clever eyes watching her reaction closely, “So it would surprise me if he chose to keep one around.”
If Yan is telling the truth, if it was Dooku that commissioned the clones, that means... that means Count Dooku and Darth Tyranus are one in the same. Force, Ahsoka doesn’t even know where to start on all the implications of that, and a small part of her is relieved that this is important enough that she will be handing it off to someone much older and wiser than her as soon as possible.
Not that she would remove herself from the case completely, not when Yan is observing her with eyes Ahsoka had watched go dim.
Tipping his head to the side, Yan’s gaze intensifies, hand twitching over his book. “You are not allies of my grandfather.”
Ahsoka inhales slowly. There’s no way she can lie to him — hopefully Cody is still just outside in case she needs backup. “No.”
“He didn’t keep a Fett clone around, your companion is part of the GAR.”
  “He is.”
Yan contemplates that for another minute, and he doesn’t seem angry, but Ahsoka isn’t sure if she would be able to tell even if he did. When the silence stretches into a tension Ahsoka wouldn’t be able to cut even with her ’saber, Yan nods to himself.
Then his face splits into a smile, a grin she’d seen dozens of times right before her grandmaster would throw himself into an especially-reckless plan that he shouldn’t survive but somehow still did. Yan locks his eyes with hers with a ferocity that holds her firmer than gravity.
His smile widens. “You wanna help me break the kriff out of here?”

With Sun and Moon originally being the theatre attendant I can't help but wonder what their shows were like?? Like it genuinely is driving me insane because how do you perform a show when you're two people in one body and the other only gets to come out depending on the lighting
Did staff bots help out? Were there human performers as well? Maybe I'm just overthinking things but I think it's an interesting thing to think about
Would be funny if Sun and Moon were the only ones performing and they had to quickly switch back and forth like those movie scenes where the person talks to themselves by pretending to be someone else
I'd like to think the lights turn off and on at certain scripted intervals (or Sun/Moon can control the lights at will) for when one "character" is taking the stage.
Also the idea of staff bots/humans helping is a fun idea as well! That'd make a lotta sense for when the pizzaplex was in its early stages and Management was apprehensive about leaving animatronics alone without supervision. Plus it leaves a lotta room for shenanigans open.

Despite popular belief, the Emperors did not die when the rapture came, not when a good majority of them were gods or supernatural hybrids or had relations to gods.
One of the emperors who survived happened to be Scott, who gravely brought up at a meeting of the remaining emperors (Joey had decided after being found and healed by Gem that he wanted nothing to do with the emperor life anymore and disappeared, Pixlriffs had disappeared to fulfill his role as the keeper of the dead, Katherine had returned to the Fae realm, and Shrub was out doing Wolf Spirit things) that if he were alive, then Xornoth likely was as well.
And thus began their search for both Jimmy (Who had gone missing and was not as easy to find as Lizzie was) and Xornoth.
It took months before they finally got the slightest lead on Xornoth, a blind man who only saw via his sensing of magic described Xornoth’s magic in perfect detail and gave them the direction they were headed in.
Perhaps if they stayed long enough for the old man to finish telling them about Xornoth’s stay in his village they would have been less rattled by the sight they came across.
They had found Xornoth, but they had, changed. The dark charcoal skin they were used to the demon having were reduced to simple patches that marred their skin, a head of hair growing in magenta rather than white, and eyes that looked just like they did when the demon was still elf. But that wasn’t the only shock, in fact the second sight rattled them either further.
Traveling with him was none other than Jimmy, a very very human Jimmy but Jimmy nonetheless.
(They supposed that Jimmy’s situation must have been like Lizzie’s, their powers and therefore memories drained along with their domain, Gem found herself worrying that they wouldn’t be able to fix Jimmy like they managed to with Lizzie)
Meanwhile Jimmy is incredibly confused on who these strange people are and would really just like them to leave him and his fiancé alone, he is already preoccupied enough with trying to find a way to cure Xornoth of the dark magic infecting their soul (Exor’s remaining magic) the odd feeling of familiarity when he looked at the cyan haired elf with a face like his fiancé didn’t matter.
- 🍪 anon
Scott doesn't know if it's worse that Xornoth themself doesn't remember. Would it be easier if he could pretend they'd done this out of spite? A target for his grief, turning it into anger.
But Xornoth is changed in more than just his appearance. Maybe it's poetic, for Scott's own lost memories to come full circle like this. (Though, he thinks he suffered enough forgetting his own brother.)
Jimmy is happy. Scott watches them interact like any almost ordinary couple would and feels as if he's looking in a mirror. Lizzie tells Jimmy they're siblings - though she leaves out the whole god thing. Scott can't blame her, considering he introduces himself to Jimmy like he's a stranger.
Gem catches Scott's arm as they walk to the tavern, led by Jimmy and Xornoth. She whispers that Scott doesn't need to help here. He can go back and continuing assisting with the rebuilding efforts - providing a haven for the many refugees. It's not the empires of old, but something new. Something unified emerging from the ruins of the past.
Scott knows he needs to see this through. He has the most knowledge of Exor and Aeor of all of them. He'll find a way to expunge the remaining magic from his brother and let them finally live the life they've always deserved.
The life Scott might have deserved, once upon a time.

Oh ok thanks for answering my Masters question! As for where Villain! Emmet came from, it’s just angsty fanart combined with AU where it’s basically Emmet going insane over Ingo and tearing up time and space just to have him back all while disregarding the safety of other people and Pokémon. You will just have to type in Villain! Emmet on the web and bam you get to see those pictures which terrify me because it could become canon for Legends 2. Sorry for the confusion and thx! 🩵
There you go then, anon. As far as I know, villain Emmet is not canon. There were some takes about it some time ago though I'm not really a fan of them nor the concept of villain Emmet in general.
Besides, I don't think it's a possibility for an hypothetical Legends 2 either. It doesn't fit Emmet's character nor do I see pokemon going that route when there are other possibilities. It's much more likely we won't get any submas content or just an off handed comment that implies they reunited (or are on their way to reunite). It would be cool to see submas in a Legends 2, don't get me wrong, but rest assured I don't think it would be like that angsty fanart.
