MCD Fanmade Anime Opening Collab: REALLY INFORMAL INTEREST CHECK

I do and I always thought it would be awesome to hold an MAP for MCD in the style of a faux anime opening. but I also know this fanbase is composed of a handful of pebbles, and we need people to make a collab possible. if you’re reading this and you like the sound of that idea, vote in this poll how you feel!

When would this start?

Early this summer ideally, I'm a student right now and other people are as well, so I'll try to line it up with breaks the best I can and be pretty lenient about the deadlines

What are we using as the song?

I have in mind "Snow Fairy" by FUNKIST, the first OP of the Fairy Tail anime. I think it matches the fantasy setting and tone of the first season well. it also lends well to having a lot of still image parts, which I wanted to add because not everyone is an animator or has the time to animate a sequence, and I'd like for as many people as possible to be involved. I'd be open to other suggestions though!

How are we splitting parts?

I've divided the draft script into ~30 parts, including both animated sequences and stills, and scripted and unscripted parts. if this collab happens, I'll be making a video that breaks down the script and parts and a Google form for applying to parts. it'll be more or less a first-come-first-serve, but I may need to wrangle with the animated parts or parts with a high demand. I'll try to get everyone a part they want.

I found this image on Tumblr recently and well, it looks super official. I looks like Seiryuu's lightside in Oyasumi Sanka (the 2nd ending) from Shadowside

But. He never appears in it, his lightside never appears in the anime at all. BUT again, it just looks so official... So I want to know if anyone can find the source of this image for me. ok since i’m so hyped here are my predictions for mikus pokemon and designs (and vocaloP) for project voltage: (disclaimer, the vocaloP choices are probably super unrealistic im not super knowledgeable on vocaloP and i don’t know who they could reasonably get this is just my very limited and biased view)

so back in december of 2019 i got top surgery and i believe literally while i was under getting my tits removed the sonic chao in space animation was released. my brother was staying at the hotel i with me afterwards (had to stay in the area for a week for a post-op) and he has been a massive sonic fan his entire life and so i have been as well by being his younger sibling. i spent most of the first two days after surgery sleeping but apparently at some point during that first day back at the hotel he sat in bed with me and we watched the animation. i was lucid enough to ask him if this was official or fanmade and was like "well, kinda yes" and explained it to me and whatever. two days later im finally like really actually functional and im scrolling the web and see CHAO IN SPACE - like that poster! from the smash hit 2001 sega sonic team video game sonic adventure 2!!! and im like holy shit ryan have you seen this !?!????! and he goes "...yeah? so have you"

while the game doesnt have much of the exploration aspect outside of maybe the kaleidoscape (which is still not much) since its a bite sized arpg, more for cool boss battles and stuff, the sceneries in the main story really do make it feel more like an adventure. but im not here for that im here for the gameplay baby.

ok so you can play this game entirely one handed. so cool. so convenient. may be a hassle seeing where youre moving if you have big hands, cannot say for sure? but controls also feel really fluid. i dont think a joystick would have fit this game tbh so im kind of glad its not in

tap to attack to get sp to get skills. very easy but its satisfying to get rotations correctly. i especially love adventurers that use special combos like dragondrive, etc.

btw, free dream summon ends in an hour! i picked up a farren from it. if you play dragalia, be sure to log in and claim your free 5 star of choice

timing skill animations with the red attacks for iframes is so fun. ik you can dodgeroll to avoid now but it feels very good to be able to stay on the offense. i personally really like the agito series of bosses since their gimmicks are fun to play around.

maybe i was insane but also i could grind this game forever in co-op. i couldve autod it (now i do since the game kind of shifted to more of a solo player focus) but like playing coop in this game is so much fun. sticker spamming, discussing plans with friends, etc. its at its best with a full team of 4 i promise you but playing with literally anyone. maybe i just like co-op. btw theres no pvp in this game outside of a self contained battle royale mode

i love the game mechanics so damn much that i made fanmade kits. theorycrafting is so fun. wish i could play them tho lol.

In Neo Musutafu, pre-existing superhero content is carefully curated, right? So I'd like to know which superhero media are allowed there.

I feel like I'm gonna get myself into hot water with some of my takes, but who cares?

For starters, DC Comics is big in NeoMusu, specially animated content. According to some researches, Batman is the most popular superhero (specially among Quirkless people).

As for Marvel Comics, well... only Black Panther is allowed. Yikes.

In the eastern territory, we have Pretty Cure (with the exception of Yes!PreCure 5/GoGo and Hugtto PreCure, as they're banned in Wondaria due to pedophilia/power imbalance and heteronormativity).

Of course, you have the tokusatsus, such as Kamen Rider and Power Rangers (as well as its parodies/derivates, like Samurai Flamenco and Love After World Domination).

As for western-like hero content, of course, there is One Punch Man. People think of Saitama as a very relatable protagonist, and find his OPness hilarious. However, people tend to favor the first season of the anime more due to its superb animation quality (also, a very few people are keeping up with the manga because they're tired of Garou getting new forms in every single chapter).

And that's just naming a few of the acceptable hero-oriented media. And whenever there are canon discrepancies, they quickly resort to fanmade stuff, such as fanfiction and 'zines, as NeoMusu strongly supports artistic expressions.

I’m genuinely baffled by seeing OP complain for multiple paragraphs about how People Not Wanting Creepshit In Fandom Spaces is the worst of evils and people vocally not liking incest and underage ships are puritan devils when like. You have a Fate avatar!!!!!! You’re in the Fate fanbase!!!!! You should know firsthand the kind of horrors that happen when a given piece of media or subculture lets the creepshit run rampant!!!!! What are you doing, why are you arguing this!!!!!!!!

Like, genuinely, I don’t understand this at all. Most of the people here in the tungle dot hell branch of the Fate fandom vocally hate the franchise’s tendency towards creepy bullshit, so I genuinely don’t understand how someone could condemn creepy bullshit in Fate and other animes and then turn around and say “But creepy bullshit in fanfic spaces is okay though”. In my head that just reads as “I hate Prillya and all the horrors within it, but if someone wrote a fanfic with the exact same content as Prillya that would totally be okay”, which is just a complete nonsense stance to me. What’s the step in logic that I’m missing here??? Where do people keep falling off the path??? If it’s an argument of “It’s okay when fans do it because fans don’t have a lot of influence, but it’s bad when pros do it because pros have a lot of influence”, then that’s wrong because 1. that’s not how subcultures work, 2. the boundary between pro and indie/fanmade is much hazier than you think it is, and 3. You should still know better from your experiences with Fate/hell because all of Fate’s creators were born in the doujin scene and the franchise thrives off of the hazy space between professional and indie. Is it a case of people getting conned by Spooky Strawmen and genuinely not understanding Why People Are Mad At Creepy Fanfics?????? Do people genuinely not realize that The Creepshit They Hate In One Medium Is The Exact Same As The Creepshit They’re Defending In Another because the exacts ways said creepshit manifests depends on the medium and tastes of the surrounding subculture?????
