For the baby prompts: Core 4 poly, nobody was expecting Bart to show up with a baby

“I don’t know why you wouldn’t expect me to show up with a baby,” Bart says reasonably, still holding said baby at arm’s length. The baby burbles adorably, then tries to bite him. It’s a very cute baby. The biting is a little less cute, though. 

Then again, their lives are their lives. 

“Because you’re terrible with children, Bart,” Cassie says dubiously. More attempted biting occurs, along with an unholy screech which is so not-cute that it’s coming back around the other way. 

“Well, yeah,” Bart says in the same reasonable tone, as if there is literally any kind of logic or reason that anyone outside his own head would understand involved in this situation whatsoever. “That’s why I brought you guys the baby.” 

“We’re also terrible with children, Bart!” Cassie says, throwing her hands up in exasperation. 

“. . . didn’t Kon, like, have one once, though–” Bart starts with a frown. 

“Do you mean the one cloned from my dead friend who you all tried to steal from me because the government told you to?” Kon cuts in dryly. “That one?” 

“. . . . . . okay so I brought the baby to Kon. Specifically Kon,” Bart says, then pushes said baby at him and zips away behind Tim. Kon rolls his eyes, but also immediately wraps the kid up in his jacket. “Kon’s the best one to hold a baby anyway, right? They’re all, you know, soft and squishy and whatever, but he can TTK them into invulnerability! See? Best one to hold a baby!” 

“And where did the baby actually come from, Bart?” Tim asks with a sigh, as the person with the most pragmatic priorities in this situation. 

“. . . okay you can’t get mad–” 

“Bart.”

5) What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

So technically the first song was "I Love You Like An Alcoholic" by The Taxpayers but thats more a Soukoku song than Chuuya so by that logic the first Chuuya song is "Super Massive Black Hole" by Muse. However, Chuuya's seiyuu is literally a singer/songwriter and lead vocalist of GranRodeo and did do vocals for his actual character song "Darkness My Sorrow" and that deserves and honorable mention

10) Could you be best friends with this character?

I love Chuuya but i'm like 99% sure he would hate me. Granted that means next to nothing with how much he says he hates Dazai but i don't think it would work well in most aspects. The upside is I could be wrong because Chuuya is not one of the many characters i look at and go "oh, this mirror fucking sucks"

15) What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

SOUKOKU, DOUBLE BLACK, TWIN DARK. Buckle Your Seatbelts guys because this is gonna be long. So I love Soukoku (双黒) not just on their individual characters but because of their trust in eachother. The whole Partner(相棒-Aibou 😭😭) nonsense kills me for outside of BSD reasons but they actually care about each other regardless of how much they say they dont (Chuuya in season two telling Dazai to go die then being immediately concerned when he get injured/ Dead Apple Chuuya punching Dazai to cure him of his poisoning/ Dead Apple Dazai Holding Chuuya gently during the fog scene after Chuuya saves him, ect) but like more than that right. If you get into it and actually look at the different spellings of soukoku you can get the Rival spelling (相克) but most of the time its spelled with the 'Always a Pair/Partner' spelling(双黒) with 双(sou/sō) having many uses in terms of soulmates. On the line of soulmates when you get farther into the series Chuuya struggles with his humanity and not truly knowing whether or not he is human and Dazai never has a doubt that Chuuya is more human than most, Stormbringer finally puts that to an end with Chuuya believing regardless of what he is told that he is human because he believes in humanity. Past that you get to Beast. In which we learn that there are infinite universes in BSD and in all of the ones we've seen Chuuya is Dazai's right hand man. They are Soukoku, They Are Double Black, they are together in every universe we see and they trust implicitly. They are soulmates, destined to be together in every universe for one reason or another, destined to bring out the humanity in each other and to not let themselves get caught in their own grief. Chuuya and Dazai's partnership is weird but looking at it from what i know now is interesting. Soukoku isn't just the ship its their dynamic, but maybe not their full one just yet because of the changes Dazai is and has gone through. Dazai doesn't have 'friends' because of how he was raised and what happened with Odasaku and Ango, but i think he is learning how to. His fondness of Chuuya and vice versa is showing more and more as the main series goes on.

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

I feel bad cause @podcasts-8-my-heart immediately said Oda just to be shot down cause the Flags exist. The Flags (旗会) or Young Bloods as we heard they were called once we're a support group of friends within the PM. Piano Man, Lippman, Ice Man, Albatross, Doc and Chuuya. I wont get into specifics of it because it is Stormbringer content but their deaths nearly broke Chuuya. He still visits and maintains their graves outside of the city on the mountainside. Other than the Flags, some of his actual closest friends in the PM, but other than them? I'm at a loss. I think he would probably get along with Kunikida the best out of the ADA but with little to no screen time with them both i'm unsure at best.

25) What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

To quote WTNV: "A new man came in to town today. Who is he? What does he want from us? Why his perfect and beautiful haircut? Why his perfect and beautiful coat?" ... "He grinned, and everything about him was perfect, and I fell in love instantly." As for now? I love him, he goes through so much shit and the man deserves a hug, glass of wine and a week of undisturbed vacation. I will say, I wish we saw more of him outside of being a main source of plot armour built into the show, I want to see Stormbringer (Kinda, Im Not Ready For The Cry Fest) but more so I want to see more of him without PM orders.

Soulmate AU: A+++++++ i love soulmate AUs. SO MUCH. my first big fic in Star Trek was a 90-100K soulmate AU. but I love all of them. in all incarnations. romantic, familial, platonic, polyamory, beyond description, th'y'la, ice husbands, mind connections, red strings of fate, bodyswap, first words on arms, last words on arms, as long as its got a happy ending I'm there. i think soulmate/soul bond AUs are the first thing I look up in a fandom

Idiots to lovers: as long as it includes unnecessary pining, then: a solid B. if it includes didn't know they were dating: A

magic AUs are a little harder for me to get behind, so non-HP (sadly its an F now. damn you jk for being a shithead), but still wizards/witches? like a vague RPG fantasy world (no isekai, please no isekai) like a C. a good author can do it I think. but a magical realism/modern au? FUCK YEAH. A.

So I'm sure you've all seen this picture before:

It's gotten a surprising amount of use here on Tumblr. So allow me to regail you with the tale of how it came to be.

A while back, (like five or so years) Facebook would not stop inundating me with an ad for a "build it yourself" Hurdy Gurdy kit. Naturally I complained about it to my friend group since it was absolutely ridiculous. Well after about three or so months I finally broke down and bought the damn thing. This immediately prompted my best friend @thevoidwatches to make an edit of the popular Garfield propaganda meme to read "You are not immune to the Hurdy-gurdy." And we all had a good laugh about it. Void ended up helping me build the Hurdy-gurdy which was a very fun time, even though the cursed thing sounds like a dying cat. But even still it's a very beautiful to look at piece so I keep it around.

A bit of time passes and @theshitpostcalligrapher opened their askbox to get some good good shitposts to make calligraphy of, and naturally I had to get the meme immortalized. However I didn't remember the wording void used for some damn reason, and ended up submitting "I am not immune to the Hurdy-gurdy"

So why am I telling you all this? Well 2023 just ended and my friend group did our holiday gift exchange. And when I opened up my gift I found out that my best friend @anonforlackofabettername commissioned shits to make me a truly curséd thing.

I’ve started creating my own patterns but I’m having trouble figuring out what size to make them since it’s hard to translate what’s on the computer screen with what it’ll actually be. The program I’m using let’s me define the size by inches rather than stitches which is nice for the pieces I know I want to frame but usually I just arbitrarily pick a size and go from there. How do you decide how big to make your patterns? Do you have a standard size you use and then scale based on the pattern?

Sizing is pretty arbitrary here, we usually try to keep it between like 50-200 stitches per side, though Fry is bad at that every time. Usually, we just go with our heart and it ends up how it ends up.

Inches vs stitches should be pretty easy to calculate as the stitch count- 14, 16, 18 et cetera is how many stitches per inch, so you can tremendously shrink your pattern or make a larger pattern depending on the stitch count. A 14 count piece is going to be much larger than an 18 count.

We haven't gotten that far into the manga and they touch on it in the anime but im pretty sure Bram is gonna take Aya on as basically his own kid. The whole " By virtue of your noble act of selflessness, the sword was pulled. However from this moment henceforth... i am both Lord and Count. I am your knight." nonsense Im in love with the idea of Good Dad Bram™ continuing his story with Aya.

18) How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

SEE ABOVE. Bram spends so much time humoring Aya and telling her to save herself that i couldnt help but love him for it even if he was majority sword. Good Dad Bram™ Supremecy.

24) What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

Good Dad Bram™ is very much so everything I love about Aizawa Shouta from BNHA/MHA. He wants to protect his kid(s) even when not physically possible however he can.

My acoc oc is a mint chocolate mountain woman named Andy who is a druid of the sweetening path/circle of dreams druid. However, she gets her magic directly from Candia rather than an intermediary like the sugar plum fairy. She spends a lot of her time in wild shape, usually a dire wolf or giant eagle. She’s very rough around the edges since she doesn’t spend much time around people.

So for the class swap. I know you said brute or champion for Adaine’s subclass but I think Eldritch Knight could work too. Adaine wouldn’t get magic until lvl 3 and what spells she has are abjuration and evocation. She’s got the family issues bc her magic comes in late and then it’s the wrong kind of magic, only good for combat and blowing things up. Plus if Boggy is her sword instead of a vehicle, as an EK she gets a bonded weapon which she can summon as a bonus action.

I keep thinking about this because there really isn’t a fighter subclass that works 100% for adaine! I like the idea of her being completely magicless and dealing with the repercussions with that irt her family and what she thought her future was going to be like but I adore what you said about her magic coming in late and being useful for melee combat. 

I could see her at the beginning of freshman year trying to take control of her own life by training and throwing herself into physical combat and accepting that she’s never going to have the magic she wanted and she’s never going to be the daughter that her parents wanted her to be. when she feels the first trickles of magic dancing along her fingertips after she gets to level 3 she realizes the magic that she has isn’t the magic her parents wanted, and that’s okay - if she had studied divinatory magic she would have become another tool for her parents. instead the magic she gets is abjuration and evocation, magic that she can use for herself and her friends.
