the absolute severity of the change in my ability to work quickly post-covid is insane

#rambles #I don’t think I’ve talked a whole lot about my post-covid issues but 🤩 thriving #pretty much confirmed that I will be failing my third year because I’ve stared at the same documents for two entire days #and nothing has changed #and I keep going through these phases of trying not to feel like a failure or like I’m a complete idiot #but it’s kinda hard 🧍🏻‍♀️ #you go into something like university with a goal or an expectation #and then thing after thing keeps going wrong and you don’t know if it’s your fault or if there were things you could’ve done differently #I have a lot to talk about with my therapist when I finally start that up again 😀 #but I’m trying to find joy in my writing #finishing projects and working on my original wips #just anything that won’t make me feel as useless and stupid as my uni work has this year #and I have hospital appointments to go to and friends to see and job hunting to do #so I’m hoping it stops feeling like my life is over sooner rather than later #and maybe when I’m up for it I can redo the year someplace else #and get away from the the admin team that’s been useless all year #anyway I got off track #health = sucks #but I’m a few steps closer to official diagnoses for my physical pain at least #and one waiting list away from dealing with my brain 👍🏻 #that’s my second rant of the week #I won’t be personal again for another 28 business days at least #rant

#that's actually a really flattering thing to hear! #and I get what you mean #every now and then someone mistakes my art as fanart of some piece of media #that they don't recognize but like the art anyway #I wish I had the product to give to you #a graphic novel or a webtoon or a written narrative #I fear there's a hole the shape of the main story in my work #and even though I allude to it and talk about it in the safety of the tags #it's kind of frustrating that you have to piece it together from the scattered bits of lore #instead of reading ~the thing~ digesting it and knowing you have consumed the story in it's intended form #this got a little off track #I think it's so motivating and rewarding that you're interested in my characters to begin with #even in the absence of a proper finalized work of fiction that ties all the art together #answered #anonymous #imagine a reality where they aren't lovers in the canon work but I just ship them really hard #even better if they aren't even the protagonists but some inconsequential side characters #that get two minutes of screen time every other episode and barely ever in the same scene

So now I’m imagining a similar situation with Roy and Jamie. All of Richmond AFC sitting through mandatory harassment training when the slide comes up of “Examples of Innapropriate Behaviour” and it’s like:

1. Asking coworkers to tie strings around their genitalia

2. Tying colleagues to a bicycle and yelling “mush”

3. Making employees repeat degrading remarks about their own appearance

kavinsky's death is actually the closing arc in a great tragedy to me bc his actions throughout the story are mostly just him practically begging for someone to be on his side, to care about him, to even just look at him. his father tried to kill him, his mother is completely uninterested. he can dream himself as many people as he wants, but they will only ever think of him because he made them to do so. the dream pack are just physical manifestations of his desire to not be alone in the world, to have someone, anyone, connected to him. he so desperately tries to draw some sort of emotion out of ronan, good bad or ugly, because the intense similarities they share mean that he's the only person who might be willing to look long enough to see him. and when it doesn't work, when he realizes it can't, that this world is not for him and he is not going to be a part of it in a way that involves anyone else, he decides that everyone is going to look at least this once. they will all see the finale if nothing else. genuinely doomed from the start. and how truly devastating that is in comparison to the core group the story focuses on, characters that even at their lowest and darkest and meanest and absolute worst have others there with them. characters that always have someone looking for them. dying is a boring side of a life that has nothing inside of it.
