Please don't spam-like posts. I don't think it improves our place in the algorithm. I don't think there even is an algorithm. In any case, it fills our notifications, drowning out other engagement that we actually use to check out other blogs, follow others, and possibly interact, and possibly weed out creepy or spammy blogs. It's not just me. I didn't know that "spam liking" had a name until I saw other blogs mention it. (Others don't like it either.) So here's the fix... [Cont'd below.]

The exception is if the appreciative blog also reblogs at least some of those posts. This is the prevailing opinion among others, too. (I can't give a percentage, I honestly don't know. Half? One third?
